It was a beautiful day at Canterlot High School. The school day was over, but there were still students hanging around the campus. Either for clubs, detention, or any other reasons they would have.
In the Cafeteria, there were multiple students doing whatever it is they do, but we zero in on one spot specifically. There were two students, both with laptops, sitting straight across from each other.
One was a boy looking to be about 17 years old. He had short black hair that reached to his ears, and shining silver eyes. He stood at about 6.3 in height. He wore a black assassin style hoodie with grey outlines, and the zipper off the the right side of his torso, also with a red under t-shirt under it. Along with dark blue denim jeans and black sneakers.
The boy sitting across from him was also a guy of the same age. He had short orange hair, green eyes, and freckles were littered on his face. He was about the same height as the black haired boy. He wore a red, plaid jacket with a brown collar with two green apples on the corners of said collar, along with a white T-shirt underneath. He also wore bright blue jeans and brown cowboy boots.
On the screens of their laptops they appear to be playing an online card game. Both screens showed cards with unique looking creatures, but the black haired boy had cards with blue rims and the orange haired boys cards were brown.
Obviously, they were playing the popular card and online game known as Chaotic. It had gotten popular ever since it came out. Kids of all ages play the game globally, as exampled by the two boys.
"You ready to lose Braveheart?" The orange haired boy said with a challenging grin.
The black haired boy, now known as Braveheart, just smirked, "Come on Big Mac, we both know how this is gonna end. Let's just play this match with some dignity."
"Let's get Chaotic!"
The two of them began their online battle. Card after card began to disappear from both sides. The battle ended with Brave's Overworld card took out Big Mac's last Danian.
"Gosh Darn! Lost again." Big Mac slumped in defeat, "I thought I had you when I used my last hive ability."
"Don't feel down Mac, you would have had me if I didn't use my Song of Geonova mugic at the last second."
"That was a great match." A female Voice said.
Braveheart turned to see seven of his friends.
The first girl was the same age as the he was. Her hair was a dark purple color with a pink stripe on her right side, also tied into a bun. Her face adorned square, black rimmed glasses covering her violet eyes. She wore a dark purple sweater vest over a light blue, long sleeved dress shirt with gray cuffs. Her skirt was a purple plaid skirt that reached her mid thigh, along with purple knee socks with blue frills on the end.
Second was a girl with long blond hair tied into a braid, and a brown cowgirl hat on top of her head, and green eyes. She wore a white and green collared shirt, with a blue jean skirt and a belt with an apple in the center. On her feet were brown cowgirl boots with red apples on each of them.
Third was a girl with rainbow schemed hair along with light violet eyes. She wore a short sleeved, dark blue, button up shirt with the it unbuttoned, revealing a white t-shirt with a storm cloud with rainbow lighting. She also wore blue sneakers with rainbow socks, and a maroon and white skirt.
Fourth was a girl had long, curly, dark purple hair down to her waist with a three diamond hair clip. She wore a long sleeved, sky blue top with a moderate purple skirt with the same three diamonds like her hair pin. Finishing off with dark purple boots with a single diamond in the center.
Fifth was a girl with dark pink, curly hair down to her back, along with blue eyes. she wore a blue shirt over a dress with a white top with a heart in the center. The skirt was pink with three balloons on the side. On her feet were sky blue tennis shoes with white laces and pink bows.
The sixth girl had long, light pink hair with a white butterfly clip. Her top was a plain white tank top, and her skirt was a light green with three pink butterflies. Her boots were also light green, her socks were dark pink with white polka dots.
The seventh and last girl had red and yellow hair along with cyan eyes. She wore a black leather jacket over a sky blue dress. Underneath the dress she wore blue skinny jeans, on her feet were black, high heeled boots with silver buckles.
These seven were Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer, Braveheart's first friends he made since he had transferred to Canterlot High a little over a month ago.
"Oh! Hey girls! And thanks Twilight."
Rainbow Dash then walked up to him, "Okay, now that you're done with that match. I Challenge You!" She said, as she thrusted a red device that looked like a touch screen phone. But there was a single D-pad on the bottom middle. This was a scanner, a necessity for all Chaotic players.
"If I remember correctly, we're tied at sixteen wins each." Brave said.
"That's right! Let's break this tie and settle who's the best Chaotic player in school!"
"Whoa-ho, hold up there sugarcube." Applejack spoke up. "You may be the top Underworld player, but top Danian player belongs to me and my Odu Bathax. Plus I'm tied with you with six each, and tied with Brave with ten." she held up her scanner to show her Odu Bathax card.
Rainbow Dash gained a cocky grin,
"Hah! You may use those Danians well in a match, but you can't possibly think your bugs can beat my Takinom." She showed her Scanner to them.
Before the two began to argue, Rarity cut into their conversation. "Oh please, you are both being ridiculous. Everyone knows an Overworld player has to be the best, because they go through battle with beauty, finesse, and grace. Just like my Intress." Rarity said showing her scanner to the others.
With that being said, the three of them started to argue about their tribes.
The others sighed, "There they go again." Brave said.
Wanting to change the mood, Pinkie Pie decided to speak up.
"Hey guys, since we're on the topic which tribe do you guys like? I like the Mipedians! They remind me of Gummy, I especially like Jorre." She said.
Fluttershy responded first, "I don't think any tribe is any better than the other," she said softly. "But if I had to choose my favorite creature, I say Tangath Toborn. His courage stats are one of the highest, and he's a noble lion."
"I'd have to agree with Rainbow." Sunset said, "The Underworld is my tribe, especially with Nivenna by my side."
The last to speak was Twilight, "I'm with Rarity and the Overworld, and my favorite creature is Najarin the best Mugician around."
They continued to converse, until Braveheart spoke, "Hey, by the way girls, why are you all here? I thought you would all be headed home by now."
"Well we were actually playing some matches in the classrooms, but them Pinkie suggested we go to the Cake's shop and we came to invite you along." Twilight responded.
"Really? It must have taken you some time to find me. You didn't have to go through the trouble."
Twilight and the other three just giggled, "Don't say they Brave, you're our friend. Of course we'd want to invite you." she said.
In response, Braveheart's curled up into a warm sincere smile, which made the four girls blush.
"Thanks girls. Let's get going then." Brave said.
Just as he was about to get out of his seat, the sound of multiple phones simultaneously giving out alert noises. The sounds drew the entire group's attention. It even broke up the argument between Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash.
"That's strange. All of us got an alert at the exact same time?" Sunset questioned.
The seven girls took out their phones, and saw that they had the same E-Mail.
"Chaotic Mail?" Rainbow Dash asked.
When they opened their E-Mail's, all that appeared were seven digit codes with random numbers and leaders.
"Codes?" Rarity asked.
"Looks like it, but what do they mean?" Applejack said.
Suddenly, Braveheart shot out of his seat and rushed to see all of their codes. His eyes widened in shock.
"Did you all happen to win all those matches from earlier?" He asked.
They all looked at him mild surprise.
"Yeah! How'd you know?" Pinkie said nonchalantly.
Braveheart suddenly gained a giant smile, one could see he is physically shaking in excitement.
"I can't believe it! It's finally happening! I thought you would all get your codes one by one, but you all getting them at the same time is unreal!"
The girls looked at him in confusion, a lot of it.
"Whoa, calm down sugarcube. Do you know what these codes mean?" Applejack said.
Bravehearts smile hadn't faded as he looked towards his friends.
"Of course I do. Let me just say first that those codes are really important! They are your keys that allow you to evolve as a Chaotic player!"
Even more confusion filled their minds, and it showed on their facial expressions. Seeing this, Braveheart sighed exasperated, "Look, it's better to show you then try and explain it and make you girls think I'm crazy. So now, all of you enter those codes into your scanners. That code is only valid till midnight today so you should just do it now. But don't hit enter until I say so." The girls did as he instructed and typed in their individual codes, while Braveheart "Now I must warn you, once you hit enter, Chaotic with change forever. The adventures shall be great, and danger even greater, so be prepared to face them."
The girls looked at each other in caution and worry, hearing the seriousness in their male friends voice.
"Alright, enter your codes, Now!"
On cue, they all hit the enter button on their scanners. Once they did, the codes on their screens started to warp around, until the screen completely shut off.
Silence plagued the group, the girls looked at their scanners confused. 'Were they broken?' 'Did the code have a virus?' These such questions buzzed around their heads.
"So…" Rainbow was the first to speak, "What now?"
Braveheart, with a smile still plastered on his face, placed his hands on his waist. "Now, we wait!"
*Plop!*
The girls, bar Pinkie Pie, face planted.
"Wait!? What do you mean Wait!?" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"After that whole speech all you can tell us to do is wait!?" Sunset said.
The other girls, still bar Pinkie, were just as irritated, but Braveheart just kept his cool.
"Look girls, I know what you're thinking. I'm a weirdo, I'm insane, I'm probably crazier than Pinkie. But trust me, all of what I just said had meaning, you just don't know it yet. First of all, your scanner will seem broken for a while, but that's normal so don't go and throwing it away like a lot of other players do accidentally. Also your online deck will be unavailable too, just until your scanner starts to blink. When the red light blinks on your scanner, press it immediately. Now, you girls wanted to go to the Cake's shop right? Let's go!" Braveheart walked off.
Still in a state of confusion, the girls followed him to the shop, still thinking he is insane.
-REWIND-
"Now I must warn you, once you hit enter, Chaotic with change forever. The adventures shall be great, and danger even greater, so be prepared to face them."
The girls looked at each other in caution and worry, hearing the seriousness in their male friends voice.
"Alright, enter your codes, Now!"
On cue, the girls all hit the enter button on their scanners. Once they did, their vision became surrounded by bright blue code until everything went white.
The the white disappeared from their vision, and the next thing they knew, they were transported to a totally different place! They appear to be outdoors considering they can see the sky and the railing that was near them. But when they looked at more of their surroundings, they saw that they were inside of a large silver room. There were multiple people, mostly teens their age, walking around the whole place conversing like it was normal. There were multiple tables and strange floating robots serving some of them food. Large jumbo screen T.V's hung from the ceiling and the screen showed it flipping through what looked to be Chaotic creatures. Many emotions filled their minds, and the first thing every first time Chaotic player does.
Panic.
"Where are we!?"
"How'd we get here!?"
"What is this place!?"
"Why is everyone acting like this place is normal!?"
Though their questions were unanswered as the other teens there just looked at them and snickered. They all heard the word "newbies" repeatedly as the other teens passed.
"Hey girls!" They heard someone say. They all turn around and saw Braveheart with a big smirk on his face. "What's the matter? You look like you haven't ported before."
Immediately, the girls rushed to him and hit him with a barrage of questions. He held up his hand to silence them all. Without a word, he walk towards the railing and signaled the girls to follow him.
The girls looked at their male friend in shock and confusion.
"Wait, Chaotic is a place?" Twilight asked.
"Remember when I said the Chaotic game with change for you forever? This is what I meant." Braveheart said signaling to the whole place. "When players in the real world win an uncertain amount of online matches and show enough skill, they get sent an entrance code. Which were the codes you girls got earlier. When that code is input into your scanners, it transports you here to play the game for real."
The girls were still in shock, but took in all the information. But something caught Sunsets attention.
"Play the game for real? What does that mean?"
Braveheart, with his unrelenting smirk, chuckled at her question.
"I feel it better to show you than to tell you."
Suddenly, one of the floating service robots floated up to the group.
"New Chaotic players, the seven of you have your first battle drome matches in 10 minutes." it said in a generic robotic voice.
"No problem, allow me to guide them to the battle dromes." Braveheart said to the robot as it floated away.
"What in tarnations is a 'battle drome.'" Applejack asked.
"Battle dromes are where the matches are held. Every player is scheduled to do at least one drone battle once a week, but other players can challenge who ever they want to drome matches any time, anywhere." Braveheart lead them away from the port court.
They all arrived at a large open area. They stood atop of a large round platform with seven conveyor belts going off in seven different directions.
"Okay, according to the battle schedule," Braveheart stated while looking at his scanner, "Twilight's battle is in the Crellan Drome, Applejack in the Hotekk Drome, Rarity in the Amzen Drome, Rainbow in the Oran Drome, Pinkie in the Tirasis Drome, Fluttershy in the Imthor Drome, and Sunset in the Chirral Drome." He lead each girl to the different conveyer belts, "The conveyor belt will take you all to your individual Battle Dromes, which are dome like buildings. When you get to your Dromes, go inside and you'll see your opponent."
"Now hold on Sugarcube! We ain't goin' nowhere till you tell us what's going on!"
"Quite right! All you have told us is where we are, how we got here, and we have to participate in these 'Drome Battles."
"I'm sorry Braveheart, but I have to agree with them. Why are we here? How do we get home?"
Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy questioned Braveheart.
"Yeah! And is there anywhere in this place to get some cake?!" Pinkie Pie asked, making her friends sweat drop.
Braveheart sighed, "Look girls, I know I haven't been the best Chaotic tour guide, but you're running out of time. If you're late for your Drome Match then you forfeit, which isn't going to do good for your reputations as Chaotic players. I promise I'll answer any questions you have when you all get done with your matches, so please trust me." He pleaded.
The girls still had worried looks on their faces, until Rainbow Dash walked up to Braveheart and threw her arm over his shoulders.
"I trust you, you're my friend after all." She said with a smile. "I don't know what you girls are stressed about. We just have to win our Chaotic matches. No sweat since we are all awesome players."
Everyone took one last glance, and nodded in agreement.
"Alright, when you're done with your matches I'll be waiting for you right here." Braveheart said.
With that, the girls gotten on the conveyor belts.
(With Twilight)
While she was waiting, she heard a ringing coming from her scanner. She pressed the D-pad, and the screen showed Braveheart.
"Hey girls! I opened this group chat on our scanners to use this time to briefly explain what you are getting into."
"Our scanner can make video calls? I never knew that." Twilight said.
"It's a function that activates only when you receive your entrance codes. Now, in the Dromes, set up your side of the field for a one-on-one match, just like you would for the card game."
(With Rainbow Dash)
"But we don't have our cards. How are we supposed to battle?" Rainbow asked.
"Trust me, you won't need your cards for the Dromes." Braveheart said.
(With Sunset)
"Oh, so it's an online match?" She asked.
"Not exactly."
(With no one in particular)
As if on cue, the seven of them had reached their individual Battle Dromes. Braveheart wanted to take this time to say one last piece of advice to his friends.
"Alright girls, I can still contact you when you're inside the Battle Dromes, but once you lock your decks I won't be able to give you any more advice. So listen to what I'm about to tell you, cause it's really important." He said seriously as the girls were listening intently. "When you are in a battle, you aren't 'you' anymore. Act and battle like the creatures you choose. If you can accomplish that, then victory with be yours. That's all I have to say, Braveheart, over and out!" With that he hung up, leaving even more confusion on the girl's faces.
Shrugging of their confusion, they all entered the Dromes.
(With Twilight)
Twilight entered a large green room, and a revolving Chaotic symbol appeared in the middle of it.
"Welcome Twilight Sparkle," a deep robotic voice said. "Chaotic Code Name: Merlina."
(Applejack)
"Chaotic Code Name: Jack Hammer."
(Rainbow Dash)
"Chaotic Code Name: Sonic Rainboom."
(Rarity)
"Chaotic Code Name: Rare Jewel."
(Pinkie Pie)
"Chaotic Code Name: Party Pink."
(Fluttershy)
"Chaotic Code Name: Nature Goddess."
(Sunset)
"Chaotic Code Name: Shimmer Shine,"
(Back With Twilight)
"Dock your scanner."
A pole with a slot looking device raised from the ground. She walked up and put her scanner on the slot. A holographic screen popped up in front of her, much to her shock. Even more shocking is when she poked it and actually felt something.
"Amazing. A physical holographic screen, and it's set up just like the game." She said to herself.
"Your opponent will be,"
in walked a teenage boy who had short blond hair, wearing red shades, a brown coat, and black jeans.
"Klaybourne. Chaotic Code Name: Klayotic."
Klaybourne looked towards Twilight with a sinister grin.
"Hello newbie." He said with a condescending tone.
Twilight frowned. Immediately she know that she hated the guy.
"Players, Choose your creatures."
'Okay Twilight, let's play this smart. I don't know anything about him, so I'll play my best cards. Najurin never let me down.' She thought as she scrolled down her creature cards and found Najurin. She used her hand to drag it to the creatures slot on the board.
(Applejack)
'I better hook Odu Bathax with a Plasma Pounder, for his earth attacks.'
(Rarity)
'A Torrent Krinth will up Intress's water attacks. Plus it's stylish!'
(Sunset)
' A Canon Of Casualty Mugic will give Nivenna an edge'
(Fluttershy)
'I better give Tangath Toborn a Song of Resurgence mugic in case he gets hurt.'
(Rainbow Dash)
'Ten locations, huh? I better use locations to help Takinom. Like Underworld City and the Lava Pond.'
(Pinkie Pie)
'Mipedian Oasis and Mipedian Dew farm will make Jorre feel at home.'
(Back to Twilight.)
"Players, lock your decks."
Both Twilight and Klaybourn pressed the top button of their scanner. They could both see each others side of the playing field. Twilight's Najurin was facing off against Klaybourn's Barath Beyond.
"Because it is her their first battle in Chaotic, Merlina will attack first. Activate your location randomizer."
Twilight spun her location randomizer, it spun around until stopped on one location.
"Lakke Ken-i-po." Twilight let out a small cheer for the home field advantage.
"Choose your attacking creatures."
(Braveheart)
I was sitting in the same place as I was when the girls left for their matches.
I still couldn't believe it, they finally got their codes. Now I can finally share my Chaotic experience with my greatest friends.
Thier earth selves are probably still thinking I'm crazy, but I can't wait to see their faces when we port back home. I was watching their matches through my scanner. I kind of felt bad for Twilight and Fluttershy since their battling Klay and Krystella. Those two snakes make Pyrithion look bad. At least Sunset, Rarity, Rainbow, Applejack, and Pinkie are facing the nicer Chaotic Players.
"Alright, this is it. Time for you all to, Get Chaotic!"
Twilight touches the card on her screen, and the screen disappeared. This confused her, but it didn't last long as her body was then surrounded in blue code, along with Klay. When the code disappeared, in place of Twilight was Najarin! Also, Klay was replaced by Barath Beyond. (A/N: In battles the characters will be referred to by the name of their creatures they are playing as.)
"AHHH!" Najarin panicked as he looked at his body, while Barath Beyond just snickered at this. After a few seconds, Najurin calmed down. "Did I just Become Najarin?" he asked himself.
"Hahaha!" Barath laughed, "That's right newbie. I'm feeling generous today, so listen up. This isn't like back on earth where it's a measly card game. Here we become the creatures and Battle that way."
Najarin's eyes widened in realization, "So this is what Brave meant when he said, 'Play the game for real'."
The moment Najarin said 'Brave' Batath's eyes narrowed, "Brave? You wouldn't happen to be friends with a player named Brave Heart, would you?" He asked, venom seemed to drip when he said his name.
"Um, yes, do you know him?"
"Hahaha! Yes I do, and now beating you will be all the more sweet!"
"The Battle will commence, now!"
The Chaotic logo in the center of the room started to spin at high speed, and the room was surrounded by bright light.
Najarin could be seen wondering in what looks like a study made of stone. He looked outside of a near by window and saw that he was in a tall stone tower surrounded by a lake.
'I can't believe it!' Twilight thought, 'I'm actually in Najarin's tower in Lake Ken-I-Po!'
Najarin stood in front of a near by mirror, "And I actually became Najurin. Highly fascinating! Chaotic is an amazing place." Najarin said to himself.
Suddenly
*Boom!*
A fiery explosion occurred behind him and knocked him to the ground. Najarin looked behind to see Barath Beyond standing in a gaping hole in the wall.
"Found you newbie!" Barath said, preparing to attack.
"Wait!" Najarin waved his arms up in defense, "I don't have any attack cards. How do I attack?"
"Like this! Ember Swarm!" Barath thrusted his hands forward and shot out a swarm of flaming rocks. The attack made contact and blew Najarin against the wall.
'That hurt! But not as much as I thought. The game must have a pain limiter.' Twilight thought, 'So we just call out the name of our attacks?'
"Power Pulse!"
I thrusted out my fists and green fist shaped energy shot off them, knocking Barath away.
'I need to get some distance!' Suddenly, the image of the door in the room leading towards a stair way flashed in her mind. Najarin swiftly made his way towards said door, and went down the stairs. 'How did I know those stairs were there?'
Najarin heard foot steps behind him. Thinking fast he stopped and turned around.
"Sludge Gush!"
Green slime shot out of his hands and covered the stairs behind him. After that, he continued down the stairs.
Many stairs later, I reach the bottom of the stairs that lead to the bridge connected to the smaller tower.
'Alright, I got more room to fight now. How do I see our energy levels?' Twilight thought. The image of the immediate game board flashed in her mind. Najarin currently had 25 energy left while Barath Beyond had 30.
'Still have a sufficient amount of energy left, but Klay still has more. I got to find a way to finish this fast.'
"WHOA! OW! OUCH! OW!" Yelling could be heard from the stair case behind her. Obviously, Barath falling for his trap and falling down the stairs. The body of Barath Beyond fell our of the castle and face planted on the ground.
He got up with an angered expression, "You're going to pay for that newbie!"
A Pyroblaster materialized in his hands and shot fierce flames at Najarin.
'I need my Battle Gear!' Twilight thought.
Suddenly, the Aquashield appeared in his hands. Najarin quickly used it to block the flames.
"That Aquashield won't protect you forever." Barath stopped shooting and made the Pyroblaster disappear.
"Squeeze Play!"
Barath's right hand grew ginormous and grabbed on to Najarin, making him drop the Aquashield in the procedures. He started slamming Najarin on the ground over and over, making him groan in pain.
"Hahaha! I'll make this defeat slow and painful! Beating down on you will be pay back to that loser friend of yours Brave Heart!"
The moment he said that, something in Najarin changed.
"Iron Balls!"
As the name implied, iron balls shot out of Najarin's eyes directly at Barath Beyond. In turn directly hitting him and released Najarin from his grasp.
"Power Pulse!"
The next attack knocked Barath back even farther.
"I can tolerate your rudeness." Najarin said with a harshly stern voice, "I can tolerate your nasty personality, I can even tolerate your snotty attitude. But I will not stand it, when any one insulsts my friends! Iron Balls!"
Barath frantically dodged the attack, but then got hit with a barrage of Iron balls. Barath Shot a Torrent of Flames at Najarin, only for him to dodge by levitating high up in the air.
'How am fighting so well?' Twilight thought, 'It's like my body is moving on it's own.'
When you are in a battle, you aren't 'you' anymore. Act and battle like the creatures you choose. If you can accomplish that, then victory with be yours.
Brave Heart's words rang in her head.
'I understand now! Najarin is a creature that upholds respect and justice. When Klay had insulted Brave, my feelings must have resonated with how Najarin would act. Najarin is in control! And I am Najarin.'
"Flash Kick."
Najarin sent his attack crashing into Barath, making him very angry.
"This ends now newbie! Paral-eyes!"
A yellow beam shot out towards Najarin, who couldn't react fast enough to dodged. The results were Najarin being paralyzed and now frozen on the ground.
"Ha! You're just as much of a loser as Brave Heart! Spouting garbage about friendship! You'll never make it in Chaotic if you think like that. It's survival of the fittest here! Lavalanche."
A wave of lava barreled towards the paralyzed Najarin,
'This is bad! If this attack hits I'll lose! Both of our energy gauges are at 10. I need to do something. I need... mugic!"
"Song of Reversal!"
A music tune played in the air, until it became a large symphony. Two pillars of light shined on both Najarin and Barath Beyond. The light disappeared, and showed that the two creatures had swapped places.
"What!?" Barath yelled as his own attack was heading towards himself now. "NOOOOOOOO!"
The second the attack hit, his body exploded in the familiar blue code.
Klay and Najarin appeared to be back in the battle drome. Blue code surrounded Najarin and was replaced with Twilight.
Klay was simmering mad, "Hey! She cheated! There's no way a newbie could beat me!" He yelled
"She used your own attack against you. That's not cheating, that's strategy."
"And my name's not 'newbie,' It's Merlina!" Twilight yelled, using her Chaotic name.
Klay turned around and stomped out of the battle Drome.
"Merlina, congradulations on winning your first Drome Battle. Welcome to Chaotic."
Twilight smiled as she retrieved her scanner and walked out of the Battle Drome, with a little extra skip in her step.
Both Applejack and her opponent began to set up their side of their fields. Her opponent was a player called, Peytonic Master. He was a heavy set teenage boy with brown hair, he was wearing a green jacket with a yellow t-shirt underneath and brown cargo shorts. “Yo!” He greeted, “How’s it goin bra? The names Peyton. You know when I heard I was facing a newbie called Jack Hammer, I thought I would be facing a big burly dude. Not a blonde hottie, like yourself.” He said slyly. Applejack rolled her eyes at yet another flirt she had to deal with. “Sorry to disappoint ya’ partner.” She said blandly, “and the name is Applejack, not ‘bra’.” “What say after this, you and I go to the port court and grab a bite?” “Sorry, I’m meeting up with a few friends after this.” “Really? What’s their names? Maybe I know them.” “I doubt that. We’re all new here. Well except for Brave Heart.” As she said her piece, Peyton could be seen shuttering at the name and his eyes widened in surprise. “B-B-Brave Heart?” He stammered, “His screen name wouldn’t happen to be Fear Ripper, would it?” “Yeah actually.” She said surprised, “Never understood why he chose that name though. Why? Do you know him?” “*Gulp.* Yeah I know him. He is pretty famous around her so I’d be surprised if someone didn’t know him. Even battled him once, still the scariest thing that ever happened to me.” “Scary? A nice guy like Brave? What’s so scary about him?” “Oh that’s right, I forgot you’re new here. Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough.”
“Players. Lock your decks.”
They locked their decks, the battlefield was Applejack’s Odu Bathax Vs. Peyton’s Siado.
“Jack Hammer will be the first attacker because of her new status as a Chaotic player. Activate your location randomizer.”
Applejack looked around on her screen confused. “Um, it’s the spinner bra.” Peyton said. “Oh, I knew that.” She spun her randomizer until it stopped.
“Mount Pillar.”
“Choose your attacking creature.”
“Odu Bathax attacks, Siado!” They were both covered in blue code. In their place was their creatures. (Odu Bathax) (Siado) “What in tarnation!?” Odu Bathax panicked. Siado laughed audibly, “That never get’s old. Seeing newbies freak out. I hope you’re ready Jack Hammer, because it’s time to get Chaotic!” “The Battle will commence now.” Then everything turned white. (Scene change) Odu Bathax could be seen wandering the inter-working caves of Mount Pillar. “Play the game for real huh? Never thought it’d be like this.” He said to himself. He flexed his top arms around, and moved his bottom arms along with them. ‘So this is what it’s like to have four arms.’ Applejack thought. Suddenly, the antennas on top of Odu Bathax’s head started to twitch, which meant he heard something. It sounded like soft foot steps. ‘He’s trying to sneak up on me. I wish i had my battle gear.’ The Plasma Pounder materialized in his arms, ‘Well that’s convenient. Now, I’ll wait till he get’s closer.’ The footsteps slowly became louder. ‘Closer,’ And louder. ‘Now!’ Odu Bathax quickly spun around and readied his battle gear, only to see that no one was there. “I’m sure I heard ‘im. Where is he?” “Wind Slash!” A sudden strong gust of wind blasted him hard against the wall. Odu Bathax quickly got up and readied his gear. “Where are you? Show yourself coward!” “Hahaha,” He heard laughter as if it were right in front of him. “Coward?” Siado suddenly appeared out of nowhere, “I’m more of a snake in the grass, bra!” Odu’s eyes widened, “How’d you do that?” He asked. “Mipedian’s have the natural ability of turning invisible. Like chameleon’s blend into their environment.” Without warning, Odu Bathax shot out green plasma from his Plasma Pounder, which hit the unexpected Siado. After getting hit, Siado reverted back to being invisible. Odu Bathax began a relentless firing of his Pounder in various directions, in hopes of hitting his opponent. An invisible hit to the face disoriented him, making him stop firing. Multiple blows forced Odu Bathax to back peddle as it was happening. Siado appeared on his right side, “How ya gonna fight me,” Disappears, and reappears in front of the Danian, “If you can’t see me?” Another punch to the face for Odu Bathax, and Siado once again turned invisible. “I won’t have to!” Odu Bathax raised his arms up high. “Rock Wave!” He crashed his arms down on the ground, and spires of the earth shot out in all directions like a wave. Eventually, Siado was hit by the attack and thrown against the wall, while also becoming visible again. “There ya are ya sneakin’ varmint! Pebble Storm!” Odu Bathax shot out a barrage of pebbles, damaging Siado further. “Looks like the tables have turned ya slippery snake! Iron Balls!” The attack shot towards Siado until, “Melody of Mirage!” A Mugic tune played thru the air and a pillar of light shot down on Siado. The light cleared and Siado was nowhere to be seen, and Odu Bathax’s attack hit the wall where he once was. ‘Gosh darn it! He slipped away. I better not let my guard down. I need to lead him somewhere he can’t run away.’ Applejack thought. Suddenly, various images of Mount Pillar flashed in her mind. Odu Bathax smirked. ‘Be the creature huh? I’m startin’ to get it now.’ Odu Bathax ran away from the scene and down one of the many caves of Mount Pillar. “You runnin scared now, Jack Hammer?” Siado said, reappearing. Siado ran down the same cave as he saw Odu Bathax ran down, and found himself in what looked like a prison. Cages ran far along the walls as well as some bottomless cages hanging in the air by some chains. “Who’s the hiding, coward now?” Siado taunted. “Who’s hidin’?” Odu Bathax’s voice echoed. Plasma shots flew toward Siado, making him dodge in various directions. Once the attacks have stopped, Odu Bathax dropped from who knows where, standing across from Siado. “I got tired of your disappearing act. So it’s time for me to bring the hammer down!” He pointed his Plasma Pounder and shot, only for the attacks to nearly miss Siado’s head. “Ha! You missed!” “Did I?” The misfired shots hit a chain attached to the wall. In turn made a hanging cage fall, which so happen to be above Siado. Being too slow to react, Siado was trapped in the cage that dropped on him. “Too bad for you, Odu Bathax is the Danian Battle Master. Which means he knows every inch of Mount Pillar, and how to use it to his advantage. I just needed to lead you down here.” Siado’s eyes widened in realization., “So when you were blasting me before!” “I just needed you in that specific spot. Now I use my Song of Symmetry!” The Mugic tune played, and two pillars of light covered both of them. “This mugic gives me 10 energy, as well as take away 10 of yours.” “But I was already at 15 energy!” “Now you’re down to a measly 5. It’s over! Rock Wave!” The final attack hit, turning Siado to Code. (Scene Change) They returned to the Battle Drome as their normal selves. “Yee-haw! I won!” Applejack cheered. “Dude! That was a sick play!” Peyton said excited, “It is mondo cooliyo, especially since this is your first battle. You’re going places bra!” With that, he left the Drome.
“Jack Hammer. Congratulations on winning your first Drome Battle. Welcome to Chaotic.”
“Thank ya kindly. Now to go rub it in Dash’s face!” She said and walked out of the Drome.
The other door opened and relieved a familiar face for Rarity.
"Coco Pommel. Chaotic code name: Coco Crusher."
Rarity's eyes widened in surprise, "Coco?" "Ms. Rarity?" Coco said in equal surprise. "Oh hello darling! I'm so glad I see a familiar face."
"Players, dock your scanners."
The two of them began choosing their cards. "I didn't know you were a chaotic player Ms. Rarity. When did you get your entry code?" "I actually received my code earlier today. You will be my first opponent." "Is that right? Then I'll give you a great battle for your first time, and I hope you take this defeat gracefully." Rarity's brow twitched at her comment, "Oh my, confident aren't you?" "Apologies for sounding rude, but I've been in Chaotic for a while now and you just received your code. Along with the fact this is your first Drome Match, your chances of Winning are slim against an experienced player." "Oh please, how different could a card game be in here than back home? This "Battle Drome" is a bit dramatic if you ask me." Rarity could see Coco trying to contain her laughter, "What's so funny?" "You'll see in a minute."
"Players, lock your decks."
They both locked their decks and the screen showed Rarity's Intress, Vs. Coco's Kinnianne,
"Rare Jewel, because you are a new player, you shall have the first attack. Please activate your location randomizer."
Rartiy spun her randomizer,
"Kiru City."
Rarity bit her thumb nail, 'Drats, not much of an advantage since we both have Overworld creatures, but I'll make dew.'
"Choose your attacking creature."
"I choose Intress to attack Kinnianne." The moment Rarity touched her creature, both Coco and Rarity were surrounded by code. The code had settled, revealing their creatures. "What on Earth!?" Intress yelled as she examined her body. Kinnianne smirked at this. "Do your best Rarity. Now, let's get chaotic!" (Scene Change) In Kiru City, Intress could be seen swiftly jumping on top of various rooftops with incredible speed. 'This is amazing! Not only am I in Kiru City, the Overworld capital. I also became Intress, as well as gaining all of her traits.' Rarity thought, as she stopped running and landed on a random roof. "Alright, now how do I do attacks?" Intress said to herself. "I know I equipted my Torrent Krinth, so my water attacks should be stronger." Suddenly, the Torrent Krinth appeared on her left wrist. "Marvelous! This is such a large jewel." Intress was so indulged in admiring her battle gear, she didn't notice Kinnianne land silently behind her. "Arbor Smash!" Kinnianne launched a large log of wood towards Intress, which hit her hard in the back. This forced her off the roof and land onto the city streets. Kinnianne jumped down from the building and stood across from Intress while she recovered from the hit. Intress glared at Kinnianne, "It isn't right to attack someone from behind." "Apologies Rarity, but this is a battle. Take any advantage you can get. If you hesitate, then victory will be out of your reach." Kinnianne summoned her battle gear, which was a Cyclance, and began to fire at Intress. Intress took a few hits before evading the attacks, and firing one of her own. "RipTide!" Intress shot out a jet of racing water that threw Kinnianne back a couple feet. Not wasting anytime, Intress jumped in the air and dived towards Kinnianne ready to strike her down. Before Intress could strike, Kinnianne rolled out of the way avoiding the attack. Kinnianne quickly recovered and tried to deliver a spin kick to Intress's head. Only to be blocked and countered by Intress. The two Overworlder creatures continued to trade blows hoping to trip up the other to gain the advantage. 'This is incredible! I was never able to fight like this before, how is this happening?' Rarity wondered, but she recalled what Brave told her and her friends before. 'This must be what Brave Heart meant. If I'm fighting like this due to Intress's likeliness, could I let her take control?' A sudden instinct clicked in Rarity's mind. Kinnianne was going for a right hook on Intress, but Intress grabbed Kinnianne's arm and flipped her over head. Sending her to the ground. "Vine Snare!" Long vines grow out of Intress's hand and wrapped themselves around Kinnianne, trapping her. "So this is Intress's nature. Beautiful yet feirce at the same time." Intress said with pride and confidence, a bit too confident. "Now time to finish this!" "Viperlash! A series of Vipers were launched towards Kinnianne, ready to end the battle. "Aegis Airia!" A mugic tune played threw the air. The next moment, a golden ray of light shot down from the sky and blocked the incoming Viperlash. "What!? Mipedian mugic? But Kinnianne is an Overworlder!" Intress said in shock. In the midst of her shock, Kinnianne freed herself from her vine prison and stood apposed to Intress with her Cyclance in hand. "Kinnianne, being the Mipedian ambassador for the Overworld, has the ability to cast Midedian mugic." Kinnianne explained. She immediately started to fire her Cyclance opponent. Because of her shock, Intress wasn't able to dodge the blast, which decreased her energy by a significant amount. Kinnianne ceased fire of her Cyclane. "Rack Wave!" Kinnianne sent the rock wave towards Intress. Thinking fast, Intess Jumped high in the air to evade and counter attack. "Iron Balls! Intress attacked shot towards Kinnianne, but the moment the attack made it's impact it evaporated into dust. Which caused no damage. "Squeeze Play!" Not giving Intress time to react, Kinnianne's arm grew gigantic and stretched to grab Intress in mid-air. "I-I don't understand." Intress struggled to say as Kinnianne's giant had started to squeeze the life out of her. "My attack hit first. Why did it not affect you?" She asked. "My Aegis Airia mugic not only negates your immediate attack, but it also reduces your next attack damage to zero." Kinnianne explained. "It's game over now, Rarity." She raised her enlarged fist high up in the air, only to send in barreling towards the ground. The moment her fest, and by extension Intress, hit the ground, had turned Intress to code. (Scene Change)
"The Winner: Coco Crusher."
Back in the Battle Drome. Rarity could be scene on her side of the Drome with a defeated expression, and Kinnianne had reverted back into Coco. Coco removed her scanner from the slot, which made the screen and and slot disappear, and walk towards Rarity. "That was a great match Rarity. Thank you for being my opponent." She said with a smile. Rarity, seeing her friends expressing, forced a slight smile on her face. "Yes it was darling, and thank you for being my first opponent." She said. Now Coco, seeing her expression, decided to say more. "Listen Rarity, I won't apologize for defeating you. All I wish is that you don't let this one defeat define you as a Chaotic player. This is your first battle. Now use this defeat and get stronger, so in the future you may be able to defeat me." She said with a serious face. Rarity was surprised by her normally timid friend. She held on to every word said and took in her message. Now a sincere smile snuck onto her lips. "My, my Coco, I haven't seen this side of you. Truly, thank you. I guess that will teach me to get over confident." She said sheepishly. "I've been able to grow a bit since we last met." She said before she turned to leave. But before she exited, she turned to face Rarity once again. "Welcome to Chaotic, Rare Jewel." With that said, she left. With a sigh, Rarity turned to leave as well. "Yes, welcome to Chaotic. Now time to meet up with the others."
