Twilight Sparkle closed her eyes tightly as the Sun’s rays shone through the window. She turned her back to it, annoyed by the interruption of her sleep, and pulled the bed cover over her head. A moment later she grunted and sighed, levitating the cover off of her. She crawled out of her bed and pulled the cover over the bed, stretching it tightly over it.

“Spike, it is time to wake up.” She said cheerfully, and was rewarded by tired grunt coming from the basket. The small dragon rose up, rubbing his eyes. “Already, Twilight? This early at the morning?”

“As usual.” Twilight smiled. “So are there any letters for me?”

“I don’t th-“ Spike started but was interrupted by a loud burp. A green flame shot out of his mouth and a scroll materialized from it. Twilight expertly caught it with her magic and levitated it in front of her. “Oh, goodie.” She giggled. “I wonder what Princess Celestia write this tim—“ Twilight said as she but then blinked. “Oh, it from Princess Luna!?”

“Princess Luna? Well, that is a first.” Spike said and rapidly walked to Twilight, now almost fully awake and interested. Twilight chuckled and levitated him on her back. Then they both began to read.

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle

I am writing this to you because while researching the magic mirror and old scrolls from the Canterlot archives,

I stumbled upon an amazing discovery, but I feel that you are more suited to explore this discovery.

As I tried old spells, the mirror opened and I stepped in. The world I visited looked much like our world, but everything

in it was tiny, even the trees only just reached over the top of my hooves. On top of that, the world seems to be

inhabited by tiny but intelligent beings. It was night there and I saw what appeared to be a small village at the distance

judging from the lights. It was then when I heard a frightened sound from the ground and saw a tiny being. I managed

to calm him down and talk to him for a while.

He was young colt, although he use the word ‘boy’ to refer himself, and told me that his kind were called humans and

he and his family lived there. It was then when I decided to leave as he seemed to be a little scared of me, even if I

assured him that I was friendly. This is also why I think you are more equipped to visit this world if you so choose as

perhaps I am not that sociable.

Your Friend, Princess Luna

“Oh, Spike, this is amazing!” Twilight gasped. “An entire new world and new intelligent species!”

“Yeah, Twilight.” Spike said, looking at her claws and tried to estimate the space between his claws. “But Princess Luna said that they are tiny… Maybe this size.” He said, showing his claw to Twilight. “Anypony going there must be careful or they might accidentally step on someone.”

“Oh, I must leave immediately. Could you take care of the library while I am gone, Spike?” Twilight said, trotting to her cabinet and levitating her saddlebags on her back.

“What? You don’t want me to come?” Spike said, surprised and a little sad.

“I am sorry, Spike.” Twilight walked to the small dragon and pulled him into a gentle hug. “I think it would better if I go alone first. If all goes well, I promise to take you with me next time.” She smiled softly at him.

Spike looked up at her, giving her a little smile. “All right, Twilight, I will keep things in order here!” He said.

June 16, 2017, Caribbean Sea, near Puerto Rico

Seahawk helicopter flew low over the ocean, its crew monitoring the instruments and keeping the heading straight. At the back of the helicopter, a single crew member looked over his shoulder to observe the ocean. From horizon to horizon there was only water visible as they were not yet near their destination. He then turned his attention back to the three civilian passengers; one woman and two men.

One of the men was looking out when he felt a touch on his shoulder and heard the woman’s voice. “Did they tell you what this was all about?” She said, speaking to her microphone. They all wear a headset so that they could speak over the engine noise. He shook his head. “Nope, not a thing. I just was called by my university and said that it was something about national security and told to wait for the military.”

“University? Are you a scientist too?” The woman asked curiously.

The man nodded and extended his hand. “James Pearson, biologist.” He said with a smile.

The woman shook his hand. “Susan Matthews, astrophysicist.”

They both turned to look at the last man. “Jacob Calhoun, geologist.” He said and they all shook their hands.

“Well, now that we know that we are all scientists and this is all super-secret, what do you think this is about?” Susan said, trying to start a conversation and easy her building nervousness, and she found herself to be excited a little too about their destination.

“The aliens have finally landed!” James declared, grinning.

Susan’s eyes widened but Jacob rolled his eyes. “In that case, you two would make sense. An astrophysicist and a biologist.” He said, extending his hand towards both of them. “But how do I fit in that scenario?” He said, matching James’ grin.

James wondered a moment, until Susan said. “Maybe the alien are made of rocks?” She joked, laughing a little. Grinning even wider, James pointed his finger at Susan as they looked at each other and said in unison. “A silicate based lifeform!” Jacob rolled his eyes again but then burst into laughter. “I hope you are not serious.” He said.

Susan looked out, feeling even more excited. “Whatever it is, I have a feeling it is something big.”

After a while, the helicopter started to slow down and changed direction. Susan looked and saw a warship near an island. “You will be briefed on that destroyer, after that we will fly you on the island.” They heard the pilot’s voice from their headset. The passengers looked at each other and sit silently as the Seahawk set down at the aft flight deck.

They were escorted inside the ship and into a room that seemed to be used for meetings. “Sit down here, the commander will be here shortly.” The sailor said and began to close the door. Susan stopped him. “Could we have something to eat and drink? This has been a fast paced day for us and--“ She started.

“We will get you something, after the briefing.” He said and closed the door.

“Well, they are in a hurry.” Jacob said, scratching his short beard, already sitting. Susan and James also sat down, as there was nothing else to do. They didn’t have to wait for long. The door opened and officer stepped in.

“Good day. We have a lot to do, so I will be brief.” He said. “I am Commander Barnes. But first, I want to make one thing clear; until stated otherwise, whatever you will see or hear here, are strictly top secret, you are not allowed to talk about it to anyone.” He looked at the scientists and they all nodded.

Barnes then lifted a suitcase on table and opened it, spreading half dozen photographs on the table.

The scientists stood up and stepped in front of the table, leaning down to examine them. Susan took one in her hand. “What are those holes?” She asked. Imagined in the photographs were a number of depressions, judging from the humans standing beside them, they were about a meter or so deep and maybe ten meters in diameter.

“What they are… What we think they are, are foot prints.” Barnes said, with more quiet voice than before.

“What!?” Susan looked at him, stunned.

“That is impossible, there are no animals that big on Earth. There never has been animal that big, even the biggest dinosa--“ James said but Barnes silenced him with a raised hand.

“That is why you are here. To find out if these ‘foot prints’ are real or hoax.” Barnes said.

Jacob chuckled. “Yeah… It would be pretty embarrassing for U.S. military to fall on a hoax.”

“They have to be hoaxes.” James said, tossing the pictures he had in his hands back on the table. “No animal that big could even find enough food to survive. And let me guess, no-one saw that thing.”

“Actually, there is a witness. An eight year old boy told his family that he had met and talked to a giant creature.” Barnes said, with a voice that revealed that he didn’t seem to believe it either.

“A boy? And now it talks too. This is getting more and more ridiculous.” James said, holding his laughter.

“So we are not talking about just an animal?” Susan said.

“No. It is top priority to find out if these marks are real and if so, the creature is real too. Where did it come from? Where did it go? And will it come back?” Barnes explained. “Because a creature that size...” He moved his hand towards the photos. “Could pose a serious threat to the country, and to the whole world.”

James took another picture in his hand and looked at, doing some mental calculations. “If we assume…” He trailed off. “That thing must be something like 100 meters tall!”

“Wait a minute, when did they appear?” Susan asked, suddenly raiding her head and looking at Barnes, pointing at photographs.

“Last night.” Barnes said. “The boy told that he talked with the creature only few minute before it disappeared. He found his way back to village before sunrise, and told his father about it, who happened to be a police officer. He found the marks and was able to isolate the area and alert the authorities.”

“Ah, that is why this is not on every news channel on Earth.” Jacob smiled. “But…”

“Yes, something as big as this won’t stay hidden long and sooner or later the word gets out, but before it does-“ Barnes explained and was cut off by Jacob. “You would like a confirmation that these marks are just a hoax, like crop circles.”

“Yes, and now I believe you have a job to do.” Barnes said. “The helicopter is waiting to take you to the island.”

Barnes took the photographs and instructed the sailors to escort the scientists back to the helicopter. The flight to the island took only a moment as the destroyer was floating just few kilometers from the shore.

Helicopter landed and the three jumped down. As the Seahawk lifted off to return back to the ship, they were greeted by a group of four soldiers.

Uh, hello there.” Susan had been first to leave the helicopter and greeted to group with a raised hand.

“Staff Sergeant Miller.” The first soldier said, carrying an assault rifle on his front. “We are here to escort you, Ma’am.”

“Why soldiers?” She asked.

“Marines.” He answered and turned a little, pointing his finger at the huge holes on the grass. “That is why.”

James whistled and walked closer, it was one thing to look at aerial photograph than to see one in front of you. The group of scientists stood there for a moment in silence as all around them the grass field was full of huge, 10 meter wide depressions.

Twilight had arrived in Canterlot with the first train and had immediately gone to meet Princess Luna. Luna had the scrolls and the mirror ready for Twilight.

“Princess Luna!” She called and trotted towards her. Twilight gave her a polite bow. “I came as soon as I could, after I read your letter.”

“We knew you would come.” Luna said with a gentle voice and let out a small yawn. “Excuse us, we have not yet slept.” She said and walked to the table where she had the scrolls. “This was the spell we used to open the portal. We wish you luck, young Twilight.” She said. “But we must retire for now. Please tell us everything after you have returned and Twilight…” She said, turning her head as she was heading towards the door. “Be careful out there.”

“I will, Princess!” Twilight said smiling and began examining the old spells after Luna had left. “Hmm, this shouldn’t be too hard…” She muttered out loud, already immersed in her studies.”

===

“This has needed some serious equipment to dig…” James said, rubbing the back of his head as he walked around the depression. As the photographs had shown, each depression was about meter deep and roughly circular in shape but maybe ten meters wide. “I mean… what kind of animal would leave foot prints like this?” He said, pointing the circular shape. “There are no claw marks, no pad marks.”

“So you think this was dug and filled with grass to give impression of a giant foot print?” Miller said, standing next to Susan at the edge of the depression.

Jacob had jumped down in the depression and was crouching on his knees, feeling the ground. “Well, for one thing, this is not dug out.” He said, hearing the others conversation. “The ground soil is compressed, exactly like an enormous weight had pushed it down.” He said, standing up and cleaning his hands. He had to be helped from the depression by two of the Marines.

“So how would have someone done this…” James said, muttering out loud.

“I hate to bring you this, but could it be that these are real?” Susan said carefully, looking at the depression with her arms crossed.

“But how could they be real!” James said. “There are no animals this big on Earth…” He said and paused. “You are not actually thinking that these might be… alien origin?” He said.

“It is the only plausible possibility, apart from being hoaxes.” Susan said, her tone saying she was serious.

===

Twilight looked back and forth between different scrolls. She had memorized the spells but wanted to make sure that she got everything right, holding her growing excitement back as best she could.

Finally she stepped in front the mirror and activated her magic. Her horn glowed briefly and the mirror shimmered as it activated. “Here goes nothing…” Twilight muttered quietly and smiling excitedly she stepped through the mirror.

===

The scientists and the Marines were all looking at the approaching helicopter. Susan sighed, she didn’t want to leave yet, but everyone had been so in hurry to prove that these marks were indeed a hoax, that it had left her feel that they had missed something. Everything in her scientific mind yelled that these had to be man-made, but still the thought that these were real wouldn’t leave.

As they were all facing the destroyer and helicopter, it was the pilot and co-pilot that saw it first. For a brief second the pilot thought that it was just reflection but then the colorfully shimmering oval grew rapidly bigger and bigger, and intensified so that he couldn’t see the ground or the sea behind it. He cursed and pulled back from the control yoke and at the same time he called in the radio.

The group on the ground suddenly saw the helicopter’s nose tilt up as it attempted to deaccelerate rapidly. “Knife, this is Crossbow! Watch out, behind you!” The tense voice came from radio. Immediately the Marines turned around to look back, followed by the scientists. “What the hell!?” Susan was first to speak as they stared at the giant size oval that shimmered in the all the colours of the rainbow, but her jaw dropped as a giant shape started to come from the oval.

Twilight stepped through the portal and briefly looked back to see the magic portal vanish as soon as she had come through it. She looked around and begun slowly realize what she was seeing. Princess Luna hadn’t exaggerated what she had told to her. Twilight was standing on a small field and just few steps from her were something that appeared some kind of strange grass but at closer look were trees. Trees almost like in back home but tiny in size. Twilight grinned excitedly. Oh, this is going to be so interesting! She thought but was then interrupted by a strange sound. She turned her head a saw a big insect hovering not far from her, but instead of flapping its wing, it had rotating wings on top of it and it looked like it had a metallic skin.

Just then Twilight heard a faint sound, and turned her head down. Her eyes widened a bit when she saw a group of tiny creatures on the ground, very close to her. Oh my… could these be the humans Luna talked about… She thought and bend her knees to get a closer look. “Uh… Greetings…” She said quietly, smiling a little at them.

“Holy mother of…” Jacob gasped and they looked at the stunned silence as an enormous form came from the shimmering oval.

They were so close that Susan took a step and she had to crane her neck back to look up. The creature was four legged, like Earth’s animals but this had a single horn sticking from its forehead and on its sides were a pair of wings, thought Susan found it hard to believe that something that big could fly. The creature was covered with purple fur, with a strange star shaped patch on its flank.

Marines had reacted quickly and pointed their weapons at the creature. “Hold your fire!” Miller shouted even if he too was pointing at it with his weapon.

“W-we need to get out of here!” James yelled, backing away from them. Susan was absolutely mesmerized by the size of the creature and looked at it from its hooves to its head. Its hooves were leaving similar marks on the ground as the depressions they had examined before, the ground giving in to its enormous weight, but it seemed to take only few steps and very carefully. Its head moved and it seemed to look at the helicopter which was still hovering nearby.

Susan turned her head from James to back to the creature when it suddenly lowered her gaze and looked directly at them. It has obviously had seen them, Susan froze and started to shake as it lowered itself towards them.

“Uh… Greetings…” The creature said with a voice that was obviously feminine. The group stared at her silently, no-one sure how or what to respond.

“Um… Can you… Can you understand me?” She spoke again, coming down towards them and examining them curiously.

“Yes, we understand you!” Susan was first to speak, not sure if she could even hear them so she nearly shouted.

The creature pulled back a little, smiling widely. “Oh, this is incredible!” She said loudly, making Susan crouch a little from the loud noise.

“Who… Who are you and what are you doing here?” Susan said, standing up again and she noticed that all others had backed few meters behind her.

“I am sorry.” The creature said, kneeling down again to get closer. “My name is Twilight Sparkle.”

The night before...

In Equestria, the sun had set, and inside the hallways of the royal city of Canterlot the only sound came from the hooves of occasional royal guard, walking back and forth. Princess Luna was examining the castle’s vast library as she had found something that had caught her attention few nights before.

After making sure that the door was locked and there was nopony nearby, she walked in front of the large mirror and activated her magic. Her horn glowed for a moment and the mirror flickered few times before the portal opened.

“So it is true…” Luna gasped, and looked at the old scrolls on the table. They told a story about another world, and how to open a portal to it. She walked back to the table while the mirror’s portal glowed with faint light, illuminating the room in addition to the few candles Luna had set on the table. Her curiosity growing, she bit her lip a little, making sure that she knew the spell to open the portal also on the other side. Then she turned and stepped towards the mirror. She took a deep breath and went through the portal.

On the other side, Luna looked around, she had gone through in a fraction of a second, without even noticing it and she seemed to be standing on a small island. The glow of the portal vanished, and she was left alone in the dark night. She wondered if there was anyone around here she took a step…

*Crunch*

“What…?” Luna said quietly and looked down. The ground seemed to be mostly covered with some strange vegetation, and Luna lifted her hoof and brought her head down to look closer. Her eyes widened when she looked at the vegetation and they looked like miniature trees, similar than back in Equestria.

She looked underneath her hoof and saw some crushed remains, but her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a faint, frightened sound. Luna turned her head towards the sound, even if she couldn’t see where it had come from. “Is someone there?” She said, realizing to her shock that if the trees of this world were that small, maybe the inhabitants were equally tiny, and fearing that she might step on someone even without noticing it.

Luna saw movement and squinted her eyes in the dark to see better. Indeed there was someone on the ground, moving slowly away from her.

David had been returning towards his village when all of the sudden an enormous glowing oval had appeared near him and he looked stunned and scared as an enormous creature came through it. The twelve year old had been visiting and helping his uncle at the neighbouring village, and were on his way back on his bicycle. Now the ordinary evening had turned into something terrifying and he stepped away from the giant, scared so that he left his bicycle behind. The giant creature moved and crushed a group of trees under her hooves.

The sound made him yell in fright and he turned to ran away when the booming sound from the creature made him stumble. He looked back and saw that the creature was staring directly at him. “N-no…” He whimpered and tried to crawl away when the huge hoof came down in front of him, blocking his path.

Luna was sure he had heard the tiny being speak, and leaning down she first placed her hoof so that he wouldn’t move, but then she saw that he was obviously scared, crouching down on the ground, shielding his head with his hands.

“Oh, We are sorry, We didn’t mean to scare you.” Luna said quietly, she knew she wasn’t exactly a model how to interact with others, but seeing the tiny so afraid of her, made her feel bad. “We promise, We won’t hurt you.” She said, keeping her voice as gentle as she could.

David heard the enormous creature speak and slowly he dared to look up and the giant seemed to smile as soon as he looked at her.

“There, see, nothing to be afraid of.” Luna spoke, while smiling softly.

“W-who are you?” David asked with trembling voice, still on his knees, near the huge hoof. He had thought that this had to be a nightmare of some sort and he had even pinched himself,

“Oh, my name is Princess Luna.” Luna smiled happily. “Can We ask… What is this place?” She turned her head a little looking around, while keeping it low, near the tiny being.

David didn’t quite understand what she meant but pointed his shaking hand towards his village. “I… I live there…”

Luna raised his head a little and saw some lights in the distance. “We see… are there many like you living there?” She asked.

David nodded. “Yes, many. And many more beyond the sea. There are big cities that have millions of humans living in them.”

“Humans? Oh, is that how you call yourself?” Luna asked. And what is your name, little one?” Luna decided to let the questions be for now, but she was amazed. Millions of humans living in big cities? It would mean that they had quite advanced civilization.

“My name is David.” He said, finally standing up and turning to face her. “W-where did you came from, Princess Luna?”

“It is a place very far from here.” Luna said. “So far that We had to use magic to arrive here.”

“Magic?” David said confused. “You mean a trick?”

“Not a trick, it is something we can do.” Luna said. “To cast different spell and move things with it, for example.”

David wondered if she was telling the truth, but eventually decided just go for it. “A-are there many of you where you came from?” He asked.

“Oh, many.” Luna said. “We have towns and cities too.”

“B-but what are you doing here?” He said, still looking at the giant Luna nervously.

“Just visiting, you have nothing to fear from us, little one.” Luna said with a smile and knelt her knees a little, bringing her head down. David let out a little eep when he saw the huge muzzle coming down towards him.

Luna brushed it against the little boy as gently as she could. David backed away a step but then smiled and reached it with his hand and felt the soft fur. “I… I believe you, Princess Luna.” He said shyly.

Luna pulled her head back a little. “Great… We are sorry if you were scared at first.” She said, with quiet voice. “We think we must go now… We don’t want to disturb people here.”

“Will you come back?” David asked, now smiling a little.

“Oh, We are sure, We will come to see you again.” Luna smiled as she looked at him from above. “You wanted to see magic so watch carefully.” She winked at him.

David looked as Luna rose to her full height and her horn started to glow. The same large multi-coloured oval appeared in the mid-air again. Luna nodded at him briefly and then stepped through the portal. The portal closed as soon as Luna had stepped in, leaving David alone in the dark night

As soon as Luna had disappeared, David ran to his bike and headed towards his village as fast as he could. He had to tell his father about this, he was a police and would know what to do.

Back in Equestria, Luna looked back at the mirror. The tiny beings living there fascinated her to no end but she realized that she might not be the best person to explore it first. She smiled, realizing that this would be perfect job for Twilight. She trotted to her room and started to write a letter.

Twilight Sparkle? That is a strange name. Susan thought, but decided to leave to matter for now, after all she was talking to something – or rather – someone, who was about one hundred meters tall and resembled a something unicorn-like from old stories.

“Uh… What are you?” Susan asked carefully. “And where do you came from?”

Twilight blushed a bit. “I guess this is even stranger to you than it is to me.” She said, keeping her calm smile. “Let me explain…”

“Do you see what I am seeing?” Officer on a deck of the destroyer asked, momentarily looking away from his binoculars.

Sound General quarters, man battlestations!” The captain ordered. “Get the deck gun and missiles ready!”

The crew inside the ship jumped into action, while those on the deck were still watching the amazing sight with their binoculars.

The helicopter crew on the other hand was thinking hard what to do. “T-that is amazing…” The co-pilot managed to say, while pilot brought the Seahawk to hover. They were perhaps half kilometer from the giant, hovering about the same height as was the top of her head. They then watched as the purple creature leaned down towards the soldiers and scientists on the ground.

“Can we do something? Should we try to extract them?” The co-pilot said frantically, fearing for their safety. The pilot frowned; they saw her mouth moving but couldn’t hear anything from the noise of the engine and because of their headset.

The pilot pushed his radio. “Knife, do you… uh… need assistance?” He said. “We are ready to extract you, over.”

Susan heard the voice from the radio and looked back and forth between them on the ground and the helicopter, and this giant creature calling herself Twilight Sparkle.

“Tell them… tell them that we are not in danger.” She said, and got a look from the sergeant, who wasn’t nearly as convinced as she was about that.

After a moment, James raised his hand. “If she was hostile, I think we should know it by now.”

Twilight had just started to explain how and where did she came from, when she heard them talk, and had figured out that they must have talked to someone who wasn’t there. She wondered how did they do that without magic, since she didn’t feel any magic being used. But clearly they were concerned about her. “You don’t need to be afraid of us. We will not cause any harm, I promise.” She said.

“Right…” Miller said under his breath. He pushed his radio button. “This is knife, the situation is… under control. The creature is not hostile."

Susan turned to face Twilight again. “You said you were from another world, where there are others like you?” She said.

Twilight carefully laid down on her stomach to get nearer to the tiny humans and nodded. “I guess that how I can explain it. We can access this world through the portal.” She explained.

“And you can do that by using… magic?” Susan said, hardly able to believe what she herself even said that.

“Yes!” Twilight nodded excitedly. “Unicorn and alicorn ponies like me can use magic for various different purposes.”

“Ponies? You call yourself ponies?” Jacob spoke, letting out a little chuckle. “In our world ponies are about this high.” He said, holding his hand on his chest height. “And they don’t speak or use magic.”

Twilight looked at them, tilting her head in wonder. “That is amazing, I am we have animals too. But also various kind of different species like me.”

“But what are you doing here? Why did you came here?” Jacob continued, more interested about Twilight right now.

“Oh, we found some ancient scrolls that described this world, even if only scantily. So I was tasked to explore this more deeply.” She said and suddenly thought something. “Do you know from your history anything like me coming to your world?”

Susan shook her head. “Nothing like you… We have myths and legends about ancient monsters, but I don’t know anything that would even compare to you, Twilight.” She said, thinking that it might be good idea to use her name. She looked at James and Jacob, but they both shook their heads also.

“Interesting…” Twilight said, scratching her chin with a hoof. “The scroll documented a brief encounter with tiny people by a unicorn pony long time ago. I guess this never made to your books.” She said.

“If this happened here and they visited before Columbus…” James muttered. “It might explain why no-one has ever heard about it.”

“You are just guessing, James.” Jacob said, crossing his arms.

James shrugged his shoulder. “That’s the best we can do now.”

Susan turned to Twilight again. “So… What is your world like?”

“Oh, it is really wonderful, it is…” Twilight started but then paused when an idea came to her head. She brought her head a little closer to the tiny humans. “That gave me an idea! You all could come with me to see it!” She said happily.

“W-wait.” Susan said, stammering a little. “We could come with you? To your world?”

Twilight nodded excitedly. “Of course, I see no reason why not.” She said.

Susan smiled at her enthusiasm, but Jacob came closer one step. “Excuse me, but how would we come to your world?” He asked, little unsure about the idea. “And how would we come back?”

“Oh, it is not a problem at all.” Twilight said, smiling widely. “I can carry you, and we go through the portal together. I will do the same thing when coming back here.”

“You can go back and forth between your world and ours at will?” Jacob asked, more than hint of skepticism in his voice.

“Yes.” Twilight answered, emphasizing herself with an enthusiastic nod.

“Incredible…” Jacob muttered, not sure if she believed her, but he was talking to a hundred meter tall winged unicorn in the first place, so he just left the subject for now.

“Do you want other… ponies to come here too?” Susan asked.

“I don’t see why not…” Twilight said but then realized something. “Oh, I understand. The idea of ponies my size coming and going free might not be very comfortable for you?” She said.

Susan nodded. “You might say that, Twilight. It… it is nothing against you.” She said. “The safety of our people is the concern here.”

“I understand.” Twilight said with a nod. “That is why it might be a good idea for you to come with me, to meet Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and to discuss how we could come to your world. And you come to ours.” She said.

“Princess Celestia and Princess Luna?” Susan inquired.

“They are our twin rulers.” Twilight said.

“B-but if everything there is as big as you are…” Jacob said, still unsure about the idea.

“I will ensure your safety, you are safe with me.” Twilight said immediately. “I understand your concern, but it will be safe, I promise.”

“So it is the three of us then.” Susan said, looking at James and Jacob.

“Make that four.” A voice from behind said. Miller had so far been listening their conversation and reporting the situation back to the ship. “You are under my responsibility and if you really are going with her, then I will come with you.” He said.

They were suddenly interrupted by the sound of the helicopter as it approached them. Twilight raised her head, in wonder, as she had at first thought it was just an insect but now as it came closer, she clearly saw that it was mechanical in nature and even saw little humans inside. “What… is that?” She asked, looking down at the human on the ground.

The helicopter crew had received orders to move and take a closer look, and move out of the line of fire as the destroyer was aiming her deck gun and missiles at the giant.

“She… she is really big…” The co-pilot muttered as they flew around her, just above her head. They could have easily land on her back but for now they had no intention of getting down, unless the people on the ground were in danger. “Do you think she really is friendly?” He asked.

Pilot also looked at Twilight as they swung around her. They had been briefed by Miller from the ground and he shrugged his shoulders. “If our guys on the ground say so…” He muttered, still unsure.

“It is a helicopter!” Susan shouted, afraid that Twilight might do something. “A machine that can fly.”

“Oh, you too have machines like that?” Twilight said smiling excitedly again as she lowered her head towards the group.

“So you can’t really fly.” Susan said, pointing towards Twilight’s wings.

“I can fly.” Twilight said happily and extended one of her giant wings, the sudden move startling the crew of the helicopter and the group on the ground.

“What?” Susan was stunned that something as big as Twilight could actually fly.

“Well, I can, and others too, but not all of us.” Twilight explained. “But for longer travels we have airships, as flying non-stop for hours is very tiring and airships are more efficient than…” Twilight said and paused, looking little embarrassed. “But more of that later, I guess.”

She raider her head, but still remained laying on the ground. “So little ones.” She said. “Are you ready to go?”

Susan looked at her companions and they nodded one after another. Susan sighed and turned to look at Twilight again, having to crane her neck up so that she could look at her face. “We are ready but are we supposed to…” She spread her arms, not sure how Twilight was going to do this.

”Oh, it is not a problem.” She said happily. “I will lift you on my back and then I will open the portal.” She said as it was nothing.”

But Susan swallowed and she could hear that the others had similar reactions. Jacob stepped forward. “Lift us? How?” He asked.

Twilight let out a small giggle, making Susan think that this was almost like play to her. Twilight grinned a bit. “With my magic. Like this.” She said and her horn started glowing.

“Woah!” Susan gasped when Jacob beside her suddenly started floating upwards, and strange, faint glow around him. Susan was about to say when she too felt very slight tingle around her skin and then her feet left the ground as if gravity had disappeared. She could only stare with her mouth open as this giant levitated them all up and up, seemingly with no effort at all.

Even laying down her back was still as high as six-story building and as soon as Twilight set Susan down on her massive back, she instinctively grabbed her thick fur for support and being frightened being so high from the ground. The soft purple fur was deep enough that she could bury her hands in it. Wow… She smiled a little. This feels really nice… She thought, feeling the coat.

Twilight turned her head to look at all four of them had a firm grasp. “Now I am going ask you to hold on.” She said. “But if you fall, I can catch you, so don’t worry too much.” She said gently.

“O-okay…” Susan said, nodding and suddenly the ‘ground’ beneath her started to move and shift. Twilight got up, which felt like a rollercoaster ride for the tiny human on her back. She turned around and walked to the place where she had come out of the portal.

“W-wow…” Jacob stammered as he hold on with Twilight’s fur and looked around, he estimated that they were maybe fifty meters from the ground and hoped that Twilight really could catch them if any of them would fall off.

Twilight’s back shifted and moved as she walked; making the tiny humans felt uneasy but fight now all they could do was hang on. With smile on her lips, Twilight concentrated and opened the portal and then stepped in it, without giving much time for the tinies to prepare themselves.

Susan instinctively held her breath and closed her eyes as the gloving wall passed her. She opened her eyes, and gasped, her mouth hanging open. Without any kind of transition they had appeared in what seemed to be a very large room. Susan regretted that she had closed her eyes, her scientist mind wanting to see how they had travelled here. Other seemed similarly stunned looking around and mostly up, as the walls of the room could be at least several hundred meters high.

“Is this your home, Twilight?” Susan asked.

“No, no.” Twilight slowly shook her head, looking back at the tinies. “I live in a small village some distance from here.”

“And what is this place then?” Jacob asked.

Twilight grinned. “This is the Royal Palace of Canterlot, where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna live. I will take you to meet them.” She said, smiling widely.

“Princess Celestia and Princess Luna?” James said suspiciously.

“They rule over this land and move the Sun and the Moon with their powers.” Twilight explained, and the group tried to absorb what they just heard.

James leaned closer to Susan and whispered. “Do you believe that? I mean moving the Sun and Moon…”

“Yesterday I wouldn’t have believed it but we are on a back of hundred meter tall winged unicorn…” Susan whispered back. “I have to think what I will believe and what not later.” She said.

Susan looked back and saw that in this end, the portal was a huge mirror, but was interrupted when Twilight started to walk again, carrying them with her. Twilight opened the door but stopped suddenly on her tracks. Susan leaned to the side as much as she could and gasped; in front of Twilight Sparkle stood even taller creature, she similarly had a horn and wings but was almost a head taller than Twilight. Her coat was dark blue and her mane and tail had an ethereal look, seemingly flowing even without wind. Susan swallowed nervously as she was also staring at her with serious look at her face.

“Twilight, you are back already?” She said, smiling as she leaned a bit closer. “How did it go?”

Twilight giggled. “It went very well and…” She said and turned a little to show what she was carrying on her back. “Look what I brought with me.”

The new creature leaned closer, bringing her head down. Her eyes widened a bit and her smile grew even wider when she saw the familiar looking tiny beings on Twilight’s back. “Oh my…” She said. “You brought some of them with you.” She momentarily looked at Twilight before returning to examine the tinies.

“Everyone, this is Princess Luna.” Twilight introduced her.

“H-hey…” Susan waved her hands a little as the enormous face came close. “My name is Susan.”

Princess Luna chuckled softly. “No need to be nervous, Susan. It is pleasure to meet you all.” She said and turned her head to others.

“I am Jacob.” Jacob said.

“And I am James, Princess Luna.” James said, standing up on Twilight’s back, his feet buried in her soft fur.

“Sergeant Miller.” Miller nodded at her.

Jacob leaned to Susan. “The description that boy left… Does she look like what the boy said?” He whispered.

“Oh. Yes she does.” Susan whispered and stood up too, trying her best to keep balance on the soft fur.

Jacob raised his hand and quickly whispered. “Wait, it might be better to wai-“

But Susan spoke out loud trying to get Luna’s attention. “Excuse me… Princess Luna? Did you… Did you visit the island last night? And met a small boy?”

Luna nodded, turning back to the group again. “Why yes, I did.” She said but then frowned a bit. “Is something wrong?”

“No, no.” Susan waved her hands. “Well, it was the first time something like this had happened in our world…” Susan said.

“Oh, We are sorry if we caused problems…” Luna started, but Susan continued. “And now that Twilight came too… and I guess much of the island’s people saw her, so word will spread fast.”

Twilight and Luna looked at each other and then back to the group, looking little sad. “I am sorry.” Twilight said. “We didn’t realize that our presence would cause problems.”

“It is all right.” Susan said. “But it is best to work things out as fast as possible now, as back on Earth they have no idea what is going on.”

Luna stood up to her full height. “Yes, We agree, and perhaps it would be best to bring Celestia to meet them too.” She said. “Twilight, wait with them in Celestia’s room, We will be there soon.”

“Okay, Princess Luna.” Twilight nodded enthusiastically and as Luna turned away, she trotted towards the long hallway. The tiny group on her back could only hold on and look at the enormous structures.

A little while later, the group was waiting for the Princesses to arrive, with Twilight sitting beside them. Twilight had floated a pillow for them on the floor and levitated them on it. Susan and Jacob were sitting on it was they waited, while James and Miller were standing, talking about their situation.

Susan slowly turned her head. She had a hard time to understand the enormous scale, the room was huge and luxurious, and seemed to go on for kilometers. A city could have fit in the room. She raised her head towards Twilight. “So Twilight, all of you can use the portal freely?” She asked.

Twilight shook her head. “Not all and not freely.” She said. “Using it requires knowing the spell that only unicorns and alicorns can know. Of course once opened, anyone can enter through it. And since it is in the castle, the Princesses can say who can use it.” She explained.

“I see…” Susan muttered.

“That is good.” James said. “How the ponies come to Earth can be controlled, we don’t want giant ponies starting to appear all over Earth without warning.” He said.

“But how can we-“ Susan started but was interrupted by the opening door.

They watched as Princess Luna stepped in, followed by even taller alicorn than she was. “H-how big they can be…” Jacob muttered amazed.

The new alicorn’s coat was white, with a big symbol on her flank that resembled a sun. Similar to Luna, she too had a colourfully flowing mane and tail.

“That must be Princess Celestia.” Susan said as they all stood up, standing in silent awe as the enormous ponies gathered around them.

“I am Princess Celestia.” She said as she stopped right in front of them, the pillow they were standing on near her hooves. “Welcome to Equestria.”

“This is absolutely fascinating.” Twilight said, looking excitedly at the group of four tiny humans. The giant alicorn ponies had gathered around them, laying on the floor on their stomach, their legs folded nicely under them. Between them laid a pillow where they had lifted the humans, who in turn were sitting on it. The pillow was of course huge to them, big enough that a house would have fit inside it.

They had just finished a short explanation of where they came from and the situation on Earth.

“A whole technologically advanced civilization, created by tiny being like you.” Twilight looked at the ceiling smiling, imagining all the marvels they had told her existed in their world, before returning to look at them.

“But so many wars and suffering…” Luna said quietly.

“Well, it is getting better…” Susan said, taking a step closer to Luna.

“Either case, you understand why we must proceed with great care.” Celestia said, making Susan swallow a bit and others showed being nervous too.

“Princess Celestia…” James stood up, though a bit shakily on a soft pillow. “We do not wish any harm or problems…”

“Oh, that is certain, the well-being and safety of ponies are my first priorities.” Celestia said firmly but then softened her expression. “But we would like to learn more and continue the relationship of our people.”

“We would like to learn more of you too…” James said and paused when a thought came to his mind. “Maybe we could stay here for a bit longer. For that purpose.” He said, while looking up at the enormous alicorn in front of him.

Celestia smiled gently. “That would be wonderful. At least few days would be fine and maybe my former student would like to take you as guests to her home.” She said, turning her head to Twilight.

“Oh, I would be happy to!” Twilight said quickly, and brought her head down towards Susan and the others. “Would you like to come and live with me for a few days?” She asked.

“I would be honoured, Princess.” Susan grinned, using her title since the ponies had explained who they were, and she was actually quite excited to live and see what is like being here.

“Oh, call me Twilight.” Twilight waved her hoof, blushing a little.

“Well, ah…” James cleared his throat. “I would like to stay here, but Susan can go with Twilight.” He said.

“I will go with Miss Matthews.” Miller said. “If that is okay?” He looked at Susan, who nodded.

“Do you really want to split up?” Jacob asked. “I don’t like the idea…” He muttered.

“We will be fine, Twilight is with us after all.” Susan assured him.

“It is not that, but all right…” Jacob nodded. “I will then remain here with James. Someone has to keep eye on him.” He grinned, earning a look from the older man.

“It is settled then.” Celestia said, standing up to her two hundred meter tall full height. “Twilight will take Susan and… I am sorry.” She said suddenly. “Mr. Miller, perhaps first names would be better.” She said with a smile.

The Marine Sergeant grinned a bit. “It is John, Princess.” He said, rubbing the back of his head.

“John.” Celestia smiled sweetly and brought her head down. “So Susan and John will travel back to Ponyville with Twilight, while Jacob and James stay here.” She explained.

“Great!” Twilight grinned excited. “I will bring them back after a few days so they can all return to their world.” She said.

“But we also need to decide how we continue this after that.” Luna said, concern in her voice.

“I don’t see why we shouldn’t stay in touch with the tinies.” Celestia said. “We can open the portal when we want and visit their world as well as bring them here to visit ours.” She said, looking both Luna and Twilight and then turning her face to the humans. “But at this point, enjoy our hospitality.” She said with a smile.

===

Susan and John watched as Twilight levitated her saddle bags on her back and then turned towards them. “It amazes me that they can do that, seeming with no effort.” John said quietly.

Susan nodded. “Yeah… Twilight explained that it comes naturally to unicorns and alicorns, but by practising they can become more talented and powerful using it.”

Twilight looked them a bit shyly. “If you don’t mind, I would like to keep you out of sight, at least until we reach the train. It won’t take long, I promise.” She said.

Susan and John looked at each other and then back at Twilight, nodding. “All right, Twilight but where are you going to…” Susan started. Twilight let out a small giggle and patted the pocket of her saddlebags. “Right here. Don’t worry, you will be safe.”

“Uh… It is okay, I guess…” Susan stammered and they were suddenly lifted into the air by an invisible force. “Ah! You could warn us next time you do that!” Susan yelped, feeling her stomach lurching as they were lifted higher and higher.

“Sorry…” Twilight said shyly and carefully levitated the two towards her saddlebags. Susan swallowed a bit again, as she was floated closer to the enormous form of Twilight. She was about the length of football field, from the tip of the tail to her nose, and was covered with uniform, soft purple fur, except the star shaped sign on her flank.

The pocket of the saddle bag opened and they were floated in on the bottom of it. “Hmm… This is not that bad…” John muttered as he tried to peer out between the seams of the saddlebag. “I can even see out a little.”

Susan on the other hand went on to touch the other side of the saddlebag. She smiled as she could feel that the fabric a little bit warm from Twilight’s body heat. “This is incredible…” She sighed, smiling. “I want to come back many times!”
“Let’s just wait until we have seen it all-- Woah!” John begun and fell down as the bag suddenly tilted and moved. Twilight had begun to trot, presumably towards the train station, making standing impossible for the tiny humans inside the bags. “I hope that they start to be a little more careful with us around…” John muttered.

Eventually, after a somewhat uncomfortable ride, they were float out by Twilight and lowered next to a huge window. It took a moment for them to realize that they were in a huge train car and on the platform they could see other ponies, all as huge as Twilight and in all the colours they could imagine.

“Aw, look, they have children too! Er.. Foals…” Susan said, pointing at the few smaller ponies that were clearly with their parents. “Wow…” Susan breathed, as they saw the outside for the first time when the train began to move. She looked back at Twilight. “How long this will take?”

“We should be there before sundown.” Twilight said, and looked around, making sure that nopony else had come in their car.

John sat down beside the window. “I just hope those two will also be okay…” He muttered as he watched the Canterlot Castle leaving behind.

===

While Twilight was travelling to Ponyville with Susan and John, the Sun was getting lower and inside the Canterlot Castle, Jacob walking around, too excited to sit still and looked around the enormous room. Through the windows and closed glass doors, which seemed to lead to a balcony, the setting Sun was colouring the room with golden light.

“Pretty exciting, huh?” A voice behind him said, making Jacob jump a little.

“James, don’t do that!” He whispered, but then nodded. “This place is too amazing…” He said dreamily, turning back to look ahead again. “Too bad we can’t explore it…”

“Who says we can’t.” James said, stepping next to Jacob.

“The Princesses did.” Jacob said. “You heard them.”

“Oh come on, aren’t you a little curious… lets go.” James grinned, nodding towards the vast floor. “Who knows what we can find there. Besides, I want to take a good look at the palace, and I can’t do that in here.” He turned towards the door. “We go that way.”

“The doors are closed.” Jacob protested.

“I bet we are small enough to squeeze between the doors, or under them.” James said, thinking as he estimated the distance. “Hmm, maybe about a kilometer there. Maybe a ten minute walk, five if we hurry.”

“Yea, that reminds me. Look how small we are, if a pony comes and doesn’t see us…” Jacob said shivering a little. “We end up being just a stain on the floor.”

“We will be careful, Jacob! Where is your curiosity?” James insisted, starting to pull Jacob with him.

Reluctantly Jacob agreed and the two men hurried across the room, towards the door. As James had guessed, there was just enough room between the door and the floor for them to crawl under. They squeezed through and stood up, looking at the ceiling that seemed to be at least a mile from them. But everything was so big that it was difficult to estimate distances.

They decided to stay right next to the wall and slowly made their way until they reached the next door. “Excellent, the doors are similar so we can easily go from room to room.” James grinned, and got down on his stomach to crawl in.

Jacob looked around a moment, seeing no-one, and even hearing a sound. “I hope you know what you are doing…” He muttered as he too got down and crawled under the door. He stood up and observed the new room. James was already standing and doing the same thing. It was similarly luxurious as Celestia’s room. The Sun had set during their way to here but a Moon had risen and was dimly illuminating the room. A huge bed stood in the corner but the bedsheets were straight and they didn’t hear anything. Also there was a similar balcony but the doors were wide open.

“Looks like whoever lives here, isn’t home.” James said and started to walk across the room.

“Where are you going?” Jacob asked as he followed him, keeping his voice quiet just in case.

“I want to look at the city from that balcony.” He nodded towards it. “Hey, since we will be spending few days here and if we can find out a way out, we can discover more, you know, gather intelligence, during nights without ponies knowing about it.” James said, turning his head to Jacob.

“Yea, but it feels bad to take advantage of their hospitality.” Jacob muttered quietly.

“Relax, they will never know.” James waved his hand dismissively as they reached the doors and walked into the balcony. Just as they were in the open, both saw a huge, dark figure gliding towards the balcony, and recognized it as the other pony princess, Luna.

Princess Luna glided down on her balcony and her shoes made a quiet sound as they touched the polished marble surface. Luna was looking down as she landed and happened to notice movement on the floor. She squinted her eyes to see and then opened them wide as she recognized the two tiny figures who were running away from her at a snail’s pace.

“Ahem…” She said as she took a single step, effortlessly catching them.

Jacob and James turned to look as Princess Luna stepped closer, her huge, covered hooves making a metallic sound against the hard surface. They looked up and up as the giant alicorn stood right in front of them, towering over them like a somekind of goddess.

A mischievous smile developed on Luna’s lips and she activated her magic, carefully lifting the two tiny humans from the floor.

Both men screamed as they were lifted higher and higher by the irresistible force until they were in front Luna’s face. “Gentlemen…” Luna smirked. “While we might enjoy your company… Would you like to explain what were you doing here at this hour… In our bedroom?” Luna spoke quietly, but the tone alone send shivers down the spines of the two men.

Luna walked inside, closing the balcony door with her magic and climbed on her bed, setting herself down on her stomach, while carrying the two tinies in her magical grip. She lowered them on the bed, between her forelegs. “Now… We would like to hear an explanation for this intrusion.” She said firmly, smirking at the two terrified tiny humans near her hooves.

Setting Sun was illuminating the city of Canterlot with bright golden light. The royal city was slowly getting ready for another night, with various ponies strolling along the streets, either heading back home or to parties which were as usual happening around the city.

But in one of the city’s tall towers, more precisely in Princess Luna’s quarters, there were something else going on entirely.

Princess Luna had found the two tiny men who had managed to sneak into her room and she had levitated them on her bed with her magic, her too laying on it and placing her forelegs on the both sides of the tiny humans. With a smirk on her lips as she was enjoying the situation very much, she looked at them from above, towering over them like a literal Goddess.

The situation looked entirely different to Jacob and James, the two humans between her enormous forelegs. The legs and the dark blue fur formed tall walls on their sides and it would have taken an effort to even try to climb over them, if they could do it at all. As impressive her legs were, they were nothing compared rest of the Luna’s body which was looming over the tiny duo. Her chest rose from the bed and continued as her neck before ending with her head and a long horn, far above the humans, who had to crane their heads up to watch her face.

“L-look, um… Princess Luna was it? We didn’t mean any trouble…” Jacob started, taking a step closer to the giantess.

“Mm-hm…” Luna smirked and lowered her head a little closer to the tiny humans. “We understand that, but that really doesn’t answer our question. What were you doing here?” She asked, with a bit more firm with her tone.

Jacob swallowed nervously. “W-we were just looking around…” He said and pointed his finger to James. “It was his idea!” James looked at him with wide eyes and facepalmed. “Jacob, we are not in school any more…” He said.

Luna laughed delighted. “Oh, we are not blaming anyone, but since you are here now. Why don’t we get to know each other?” She smiled, looking at them.

“Maybe we should go back…” Jacob started but stopped when he saw Luna shook her head and give them a mischievous smirk.

“We are not going to let you go that easily.” She said, lowering her head close to them, her muzzle filling their field of view and her warm breath washing over them as she spoke.

“We weren’t trying to…” Jacob start, speaking nervously but James cut him off. “Shut up, I will handle this.” He said.

Luna raised her eyebrow and looked at the tiny humans, not letting them know that she was actually amused by their bickering and finding them quite cute too. She had to fight the urge to lift them with her magic and toy with them.

She was snapped out of her thought by a yell. “I said that if you could lower us on the floor, we will be on our way and cause no more trouble.” James said, raising his voice.

“Oh, we don’t think so…” Luna snapped back. “You came here uninvited and-“

“If you need it, we apologize and we would like to continue our way.” James shot back, raising his voice a bit more.

Luna looked at him, thinking. The corners of her lips slowly curved up and she lifted her other foreleg up and moved her hoof above James.

As the huge shadow fell on him, James gasped as he saw the soft looking under side of Luna’s hoof hover above him momentarily, before the room wide hoof slowly came down on him. “W-wait, no-! Umph!” He managed to yell before he was buried under the hoof and pinned down by its weight.

“Luna! What are you doing!” Jacob screamed alarmed and ran to the hoof, placing both of his hands under it and tried to lift it.

His futile attempts made the Night Princess giggle a little. “Oh, don’t worry little human, your companion is safe and unharmed, we assure you.” She said with a soft voice.

Jacob slowly stood up as he too realized that he couldn’t possibly lift the hoof and looked at Luna. “Then why did you…?” He asked, unsure about the giant alicorn’s intentions.

“He was annoying and need to cool down a little. And we wanted to have a discussion with you in peace.” Luna explained like such things were everyday events for her.

Jacob swallowed nervously as he saw that there was no way out of the situation, so he might as well as accept it for now. “A-all right, Princess Luna…” He said quietly, remaining standing up in front of her. “Oh…” He placed his hands on Luna’s hoof and felt his fingers sink into the soft fur and moved his hands, almost like rubbing her hoof, causing Luna chuckle as she leaned closer to look.

Jacob was little startled when he realized what he was doing and turned to face Luna. “But your appearance has caused a lot of attention in our world and we are also very interested about you, so I beg your forgiveness about all this.” He said.

Luna heart nearly melted and she felt a little sorry being too harsh earlier. “Oh, it is no problem, little one.” She said sweetly, causing the tiny human blush a bit.

“Attention? What kind of attention?” Luna asked tilting her head.

“I bet everyone on our planet will soon know about you and there is military on the site…” Jacob said.

“Military?” Luna frowned and saw Jacob nod. Hmm, if military is involved we must make sure that the little boy is all right too. Luna thought, forgetting the two men momentarily. I could go there and meet him again. She thought intrigued by the idea, and who was going to stop her anyway.

Suddenly she lifted her hoof and revealed James who was lying on his back. He quickly sat up and gasped for air. Jacob hurried to him. “Are you okay? She said that she wasn’t going to hurt you.” He said, helping him up.

“Yeah, I am all right…” He said, even if looking little shaken by the experience, causing Jacob to fight not to chuckle. I wonder what it felt like, being sandwiched between the hoof and the bed… Jacob thought.

Already familiar tingling engulfed them and they were enveloped by Luna’s powerful magic. They were lifted up as Luna stood up. The giant alicorn levitated them close to her head. “We will take you back and we trust that you will stay there this time.” She said trotting out of her room.

“Y-yes , of course, we promise!” Jacob stammered and looked at James. “Right?” He asked. “Right…” James muttered back to him.

After leaving the two tinies behind, Luna walked out of the room in her thoughts. Her and Twilight’s appearance on their planet had a much bigger impact than she had imagined. She considered her next move for a moment before turning, with a smirk on her lips, towards the room where the portal was located. This will be interesting… She thought, licking her lips in excitement.

Chapter 7

The train arrived at Ponyville station just as the Sun was setting, its last rays illuminating the mountains in the horizon. There was nopony at the station and Twilight was only one to leave the train, so she trotted out of the train and headed towards her castle.

She had decided to keep the tinies in secret for now and after levitating them on top of her head, she told them to hide in her mane. Indeed, Susan and John were holding on from her mane strands and looking amazed at the huge surroundings Twilight trotted past; even a simple cottage was much larger and taller than any building on Earth and the trees were absolutely enormous, almost like reaching to the sky itself.

“T-this is incredible…” Susan breathed, looking around excited, trying to memorize everything she saw. From the corner of her eye she saw that John had suddenly frozen and was staring right at front. “What the hell…” He muttered. “What is that?” He asked.

Susan looked past Twilight’s mane strands and saw an enormous castle that looked like a tree but was made of some kind of rock or crystal. Twilight chuckled a bit, feeling her cheeks blushing. “That is my home. It is a long story, I will tell that you some day.” She said, quickly trotting towards the castle.

Susan craned her head back, as Twilight reached the door, trying to see the top of the castle and estimate its height but after a moment she just gave up. “You realize that we are size of insects here…” John said, just loud enough that Twilight heard it.

Twilight looked up as if trying to see the tiny humans on top of her head. “Don’t worry, little ones.” She smirked. “I am very powerful and I will take care of you while you are here.”

“Oh, um… Thank you, Twilight.” Susan said, holding on her mane strands. John leaned closer to her and whispered. “And I don’t like her calling us ‘little ones’.” Causing Susan to giggle softly. “Well, we kind of are, to them.” She said, nodding down, how they were literally on top of Twilight’s head, holding on her mane.

Twilight opened the door with her magic and stepped in, trotting in the corridor and continued until she turned to open another door which led to some kind of library, or at least there were a lot of huge books scattered around. As Twilight walked to a table, Susan and John felt the now familiar tingling feeling engulf their bodies. They were lifted in the air by Twilight’s magic and then gently settled down on the huge, wooden surface.

“What are all these books and scrolls, Twilight?” Susan said after she had completed a full circle, looking around the enormous room. There were few books and very old looking scrolls on the table. Even the thinnest book was much taller than she or John. Susan looked at Twilight and pointed at books.

“Oh, it is my library, I collect all kind of books about history and magic.” She said. “That is how Princess Luna discovered the portal to your world and I would love to see if I could find more information here, if somepony in the past had discovered the way there too.” Twilight explained.

“But… Wouldn’t our history show that they were giant ponies visiting us?” John said, looking at Twilight and Susan.

“Yes they would.” Susan nodded. “So if they were any contacts between humans and ponies in the past, it must have been very limited.” She said.

Twilight patted her chin with a hoof. “Hmm, maybe only the most magically powerful ponies were able to do that, if they did it at all…” Twilight muttered. “I have few ideas where to start, but it can wait.” She suddenly grinned and floated a small sofa to her and hopped on it, laying comfortably looking on it. “But I want to hear all about you!” She said excitedly, looking at the two tiny humans.

Susan looked at John and Twilight. “Um… As I mentioned earlier, I am a biologist.” She said. “I was invited to study the reports about… well… you guys.” She said, little embarrassed as she nodded towards Twilight.

“Oh, I think I can understand that.” Twilight said, letting out a small giggle. She smirked as she couldn’t help but tease them a bit and lifted her foreleg, placing her hoof on the table near the tinies.

Susan gasped as the huge hoof slammed on the table, making it wobble a bit. “Woah…” She breathed and noticed that her hoof was covered with soft looking, purple fur. As she walked nearer, marveling its size, an idea popped into her mind and she looked at Twilight. “Um… Could I take a…” She pointed at her hoof.

“Sample?” Twilight continued, raising her eyebrow. “I think it is okay.” She smiled.

“Thank you, it means a lot to me.” Susan said and walked to the hoof which was as big as a house and touched the soft fur. Even the strands were as thick as her finger and she realized that she couldn’t possibly poll one out or cut it.

“Here, use this.” John said, walking to her side. He offered a knife which he had on his belt.

“Thanks.” Susan nodded and cut a tip of the strand with the knife, putting it in a plastic bag before putting it in her backbag.

Susan touched the fur again. “Oh, wow, it is so incredible…” She said quietly, looking and moving her hands through the thick strands.

“But since I allowed you to take that.” Twilight suddenly said. “How about I examine you next.” She grinned and enveloped the tiny humans with her magic, effortlessly floating them off the table and on her overturned hoof. She snuggled for more comfortable position on the sofa and looked at the two tiny humans on her hoof. So tiny they were that she didn’t even feel their weight, only a slight tickle on the bottom of her hoof as they moved.

To Susan and John, it was an entirely different kind of experience. Susan didn’t have even time to respond when she had been lifted off by an invisible and irresistibly force. She watched in awe as she and John were floated on the giant alicorn's soft hoof and unceremoniously almost dropped on it. Susan tried to stand but found it easier to sit on the soft, furry surface which was wobbling a little. Even the slightest movements that Twilight’s hoof made, was indeed making standing difficult for them.

Susan gasped a bit when she saw Twilight’s face come closer and her huge eyes staring straight at her. She even saw her reflection in her iris, making her swallow nervously. “Woah, easy there…” She raised her hand reflectively, making Twilight giggle a bit. Twilight’s lips parted a bit and the tiny human stared that her huge, cavern like mouth and saw her pearly white teeth and the huge tongue moving inside her mouth. Susan realized that they wouldn’t even make a snack for her if she decided to toss them in her mouth.

Twilight smiled gently at them. “Oh, I am sorry. Did I startle you?” She said, tilting her head a little, looking at them with curious eyes.

“N-no, this is just so overwhelming…” Susan muttered, waving her hands. She decided not to say anything even if a part of her mind thought that Twilight was teasing them on purpose. Another part started to worry what would happen if such playful, and giant, ponies would start to roam freely on Earth.
