> A Pinkie Pi Story > by Wissle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Pinkie and Pi > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is time. Again. Just where to start? Pie? She always enjoys making pie. Way less than eating it of course, mind you. But still! She has devoured all the spread. Now she has to create. Sugarcube Corner business! They sell food, after all. She knows better than to eat everything herself. That had not stopped her, though, apetite over mind. Others sometimes wonder how she does that. She could not explain it either, it comes naturally. She smiles dreamily. Eating everything! Just so good! Twilight had once tried to figure it out. Her stomach is legend. Eventually, Twilight just accepted the unexplicable. Typically Pinkie! Some things cannot be explained logically. Twilight had learned that. Her grin widens. The hydra thing. At that day Twilight had surrendered, too, eventually. Apply no logic! Pinkie Pie! That is all there was to it. Once Twilight had accepted that, she found her peace. Peace of mind is good. Focus Pinkie! She giggles one more time thinking about Twilight. That purple pony has come a long way. All of them have. Together. Who would have thought they would wield the elements! Pinkie almost always loved fun with others. Friendship. What they share is special, though! It goes deeper than any other friendship she knows. That special bond. They have saved Equestria numerous times with that bond. Nightmare moon returning and set on bringing eternal night? Discord spreading chaos? Queen Chrysalis and her changelings attacking Canterlot? They even defeated Lord Tirek! Together. Sometimes she wonders about that. What if Twilight had not brought them together? She shudders. Clearing her mind she returns to the task ahead. She still has some pie to make! Looking around she wonders. What should it be, eyeing numerous options, considering them. She settles on apples. Applejack brought them yesterday. Apple pie is always great. Her mind starts wandering once again, Pinkie Apple Pie? Uncertainty remained. She knows, though! Their families have spent Hearth's Warming together. She felt like a part of both families. Loved. What was written mattered little here. Applejack is her cousin! She fondly remembers their time together. Apples, Pies. It had only been a rocky start, fortunately. They got to know each other. It worked. She thought about her baby sister, minutes younger. Marble and Big Mac did seem to get along. They were like two birds of a feather, really. Very quiet, gentle and caring, timid little souls. She wonders if there is something. Would work! That would bring their families together even more! Pinkie loves weddings. The dancing, the fun! The great time she can have with friends. The cake! Like in the royal wedding. That was great! Cadance, a wonderful bride! Her husband? Caring. Loving. Shining Armor was the perfect groom, too. And a real prince to boot. Unlike that other prince she had met. The one Rarity had fallen for heads over hooves. That prince Blueblood was just a big meanie. Poor Rarity. Crushed! He crushed her dream! Her prince charming sadly turned into a frog. Not a cute little jumping croaking frog, though. A big and nasty one instead! He had displayed no chivalry. None. None at all! She sighs. Her thoughts return to the royal wedding again. The vows. The sonic rainboom. She had seen it twice before. The first time as a filly. Still on her farm. She understood her purpose right away, awestruck. If Rainbow had not made that move back then? Well, who knows? Odd how that one event linked them all. Before they even met. Well, most of them. Rainbow and Fluttershy knew each other. What if Rainbow had not stood up for Fluttershy? They might have never met! Rainbow Dash is so awesome! Just you wait, you Wonderbolts! One day that filly will blow your minds! Her passion. Her soul. Always giving everything. Ambitious. Even before her dire need for speed. Always faithful. When ponies had bullied Fluttershy? She faced them. Rainbow stood up for Fluttershy. Without that race, Fluttershy might have never found it. Her way with animals. Fluttershy is just so loving, and so caring. Warm. And shy. She reminds Pinkie of her sister Marble, often. They would get along. They should meet, that would be great, really! Timid. Shy. Careful. They would grow to like each other. Just given enough time. Pinkie would be helping, too. She sighs. Fluttershy is about a year older than her. But just so insecure. Scared. Of everything. Pinkie had even seen her jump away. Hiding. Hiding from her own shadow, in a bush nearby! The poor thing. She has so many demons, but she grew. Like singing for her friends. On stage! Beautiful. Passionate. As soon as she starts? She puts her all in. And it shows, losing herself. Pinkie wonders if Fluttershy ever will sing for others? Maybe with the Ponytones one day? Everypony would love that! Like that one time! As the curtain fell, Fluttershy singing. The applause. Screaming fans. That day Fluttershy had run away in fear, horrified. Living her worst nightmare. But the confrontation helped her to grow, too. Sometimes the really unsuspected things can make a change. Or is it always unexpected? Some things are obvious. You go into the experience, knowing it changes you. Like a wedding. A sudden thud! Pinkie breaks out of her reverie, slightly startled. Whoops! She just knocked down a recipe book while daydreaming. She borrowed it from Twilight, earlier. She chuckles, eyeing it. A page is open. Jewel Cake. She knows just one pony liking that one. Is pony the right word or rather dragon? Both? She feels really bad about leaving him out, sometimes. When they go out on their adventures. Trying to save the world. He is always there for them. They do all love him dearly. He knows that, of course. But sometimes they just fail to show it, really. It is easy. So very easy. Even a simple gesture. It can mean much. Warmth spreads through her whole body. Appreciation. For them. Pinkie loves all her friends and her family. She also shows it. She shows it time and time again. Can it be shown enough? She cannot help but smile now. Thinking about them all. The ponies making life happy, giving it meaning. And purpose. All for her. And for them. The ponies she wants to make happy. She picks up the book from the floor. Just show them, show them again. She has a lot to do now. They are worth it, though, time well spent. Time for pie.
