The sequel to Derpy and Carrot Top. Derpy Hooves is being hunted down for knowing a secret an evil secret, that Celestia is evil.
In an attempt to reveal a secret Derpy and her friends will travel all over Equestria. Derpy doesn't know what other secrets may lay beneath the faces of her closest friends and family.
"Are you coming or not," Derpy said in an irritated tone for the third time.
"Yes no maybe I can't decide," Carrot Top said shaking and holding her head with one hoof.
"Come on Carrot Top, after all, we just went through and you can't decide," Derpy said again.
"Celestia wants you arrested because you confronted her and if I'm seen with you I'll get in trouble too!"
Derpy let out a sigh and said: "Well we have to leave with or without you." Derpy finished shoving various things into her very small bag when there was a knock at the door. Derpy jumped behind Carrot Top's couch and told her to answer it. When Carrot Top opened the door a small filly stood in front of a brown stallion.
"Is Derpy alright, can we come in." Carrot Top let both Mr. Whooves and dinky in as Derpy got up from behind the couch.
"Mom!," Dinky shouted as she ran up to Derpy.
Derpy held her in her forearms and said, "We need to pack our things and go because mommy is in trouble."
Dinky sat down and looked up at her mom with confusion "Why are you in trouble?" Derpy stood up and reassured her child that it would be alright.
"Can we stay here until night so that we can run to our house and grab some things?" Derpy said quickly.
"Sure I guess but I would imagine luna would be watching for you as well." Carrot Top said before rubbing her own head. Derpy thought for a second and smiled. Derpy hopped into the bag as Carrot Top carried her off. Once they were at the house Derpy got out and told Carrot Top she wasn't needed there anymore. Carrot Top gave a confused smiled and left. Derpy placed can after can into the bag until they were all in, next she got all of the bars of soap she could find and put those into the bag, after that food followed by some of Dinky's toys. Derpy heard a sound from behind her. Derpy looked straight forward as she slowly reached for her sword. Derpy turned around quickly as she unsheathed her sword.
"Mom you're alright, I thought you were gone forever!" Derpy was face to face with her first born child, Amethyst.
Derpy and Amethyst embraced each other in a tight hug while Derpy asked: "I thought you were at college."
"Well, I heard that you had gone missing so I brought school home with me so I could help with Dinky and look for you."
Derpy's face quickly turned into a large smile "You would do that for your baby sister, I am so proud of you."
Amethyst blushed and said, "I'm almost an adult I can help when it's needed." "Wait how come your packing, what's going on, is this why you were gone for so long," Amethyst quickly added.
Derpy sighed and said "it's going to be fine but I need to leave," while continually packing.
Amethyst became more concerned and stopped her mom by placing a hoof on her shoulder and saying "I know when you're lying to protect me."
Derpy smiled and said, "You know me too well and I guess you and the rest of the family should know." Derpy finished packing her bag and got into it.
Amethyst's jaw dropped and eyes widened at the sight "How are you doing that," she shouted.
Derpy poked her head out of the bag and said "Can you please take me to Carrot Top's house. Amethyst walked out of the house with her mouth still wide open. Once they arrived at the front door of Carrot Top's house Amethyst's mouth had shut and was still processing what she had just seen. Derpy popped her head out the bag and asked: "Are we here yet?" Unfortunately, a pony that was just outside of Carrot Top's house passed out from the sight of a disembodied head sticking out of a bag that was talking.
Amethyst knocked on the door which was opened a few seconds later by Carrot Top, "Oh my gosh you're in town, I thought you were going to college." Amethyst walked in, set the bag down and continued talking to Carrot Top. Derpy pulled herself out of the bag after Amethyst talked for a while with Carrot Top and her own family. Derpy sat her family down on a couch in Carrot Top's living room and explained the story to her family.
Derpy's husband, the Doctor, got up off the couch and walked over to her, "How do you plan on stopping Celestia, and I do know that you are planning that." Derpy got up and hugged her husband, suddenly her face went pale.
Dinky from behind her dad said, "How come it's light outside I thought that it was just getting dark?" In an instant, Derpy jumped from standpoint grabbing her two children and flying over the couch. Derpy looked back just in time to see the ceiling cave in on the Doctor and Carrot Top.
Derpy let out a cry of sadness as her armor quickly flamed up and led her children into another room. "You need to stay with your big sister Amethyst she is going to take care of you, Amethyst take Dinky and run," Derpy said with tears in her eyes. Derpy gave a hug to both of her children and gave them a small shove. Derpy turned around to see the house was on fire as well, she unsheathed her sword and got into a fighting stance. Derpy turned once again to say goodbye to her children when an explosion from behind her blew her off her hooves and across the room. Derpy was thrown right above her running children's heads towards a door. Derpy turned in the air and put her hooves in front of her, slamming the door off its hinges. Derpy grabbed the inside frame of the door as she let out a small yelp. Derpy looked down to see ponyville far below her and Carrot Top's house, that was still on fire, floating on a small amount of earth, "What the hay, how badly does Celestia want me caught!" Derpy pulled herself back up into to the room just in time to see Celestia break through the ceiling. Derpy motioned her children to get behind her.
"There is no use in running I will always find you," Celestia said in her most royal voice.
"My family knows the story and we will defeat you," Derpy shouted loudly over the fire crackling around them.
Celestia chuckled and said, "Its a good thing there not going to live to say anything." Celestia stomped a hoof and suddenly Derpy and everyone heard the living room fall off the house. The weight change quickly started flipping to house upside down, "You can die with your children," Celestia said with an evil grin. Celestia looked upwards which made her appear t be thinking about something, "Wait no you can't," Celestia grabbed Derpy with her magic as the house fell roof down towards the ground.
"No!" Derpy shouted seeing the house fall.
Celestia used her magic to face Derpy towards her, "Nopony will ever know."
Derpy felt magic touching her wings, "What are you doing," Derpy asked.
Celestia smiled and said "This." A swift crack came from one of Derpy's wings as she let out a cry. Celestia tossed her out a couple feet as she began to fall. Derpy could only fall watching as the ground quickly welcomed her.
Derpy woke up to magic carrying her. Derpy faintly said, "Let me go I need to help my family." Derpy slowly realised what happened and began to cry "Its all my fault there dead I should have never found Acheron I should have never left my family.
"How rude but I realise you have just been put through a lot of trauma so I know you don't know what your saying," the voice said.
Derpy tried to turn her head, "Who are you I can't see you?"
"Acheron!," Derpy shouted. Derpy flinched from the pain in her wing.
"Oh yeah, let me fix that." Even more, magic surrounded Derpy, her wings became colder and wet.
"What are you doing," Derpy asked Acheron.
"It's complicated but let's just say I'm healing your wing for short." Derpy twisted her body and tried to touch the ground so she could walk again but Acheron's magic was holding her in the air. Derpy straightened her wings and didn't feel anything, " Wow Acheron that actually worked, thank you but you can set me down."
Acheron laughed and said, "I'm not done healing you and I'm surprised that you didn't notice that you broke all four of your hooves, how did you do it by the way?"
Derpy thought for a second and said: "It might have been when an explosion caused by Celestia threw me at this door and I positioned myself in air to the point that all my hooves would hit at the same time, and then I knocked it off the house." in an instant the magic stopped and Derpy fell onto her face.
"Wait you're telling me that you fought Celestia and survived?"
Derpy got up and thought "I guess I did wait how long was I asleep?"
Acheron looked up at the sky for a second as clouds moved out of the way of the moon, " I'd say maybe two hours and I'm surprised you survived the fall, you landed in a tree but that isn't a lot." Acheron looked back down at Derpy, "I found this on top of the rubble of Carrot Top's house I thought you might need it, by the way where is she?" Acheron threw Derpy's little bag to her.
Derpy caught it and said, "Thank you, my friend ration from the skeleton army said that he packed some things for me." Derpy was about to open the when she saw some smoke coming out of it. Both Derpy and Acheron started to back up, suddenly it opened letting out a massive cloud of smoke and light. When it faded Carrot Top and the Doctor were standing in front of them while Dinky and Amethyst were laying on the ground sleeping.
The Doctor was standing in front in a perfect stance smiling brightly, "Ah, how I love a good entrance, sorry love I couldn't come out earlier." Carrot Top was wearing a large plastic pipe on her back with a hose coming out if it. Suddenly he reached his hoof out with the silver exoskeleton on his arm and shot a small metal saw right by Derpy where it hit a block of ice where it kept spinning in place for a few seconds.
"Did you really think I would make it that easy to kill me," Acheron said in a cocky voice.
"You can stay but if that had hit you could have died, just saying," The Doctor said sarcastically.
Derpy's jaw dropped and said, "Why didn't you tell me you were alive, why did you try to kill Acheron?" Derpy's eyes started to water as she slowly sank to the ground "Why would you not tell me, I thought you were dead." The Doctor looked around nervously and quickly walked over and sat beside his wife.
The Doctor slowly stroked her mane as he comforted her saying, "We couldn't let Celestia know that we were alive, I'm sorry."
He wiped away her tears as Acheron said, "Celestia's guards are still looking for you, we need to go." Acheron stuffed both Dinky and Amethyst back into the bag with her magic.
"Hey there they are, stop them!" somepony shouted from behind the group. They turned around simultaneously to see five royal guards with swords, golden armor, and spears.
"How about it , time for your first fight right Carrot Top?" Derpy said sarcastically.
Acheron laughed and said "No need for us to get hurt." Suddenly five massive ice cones surrounded the guards. The guards started to hit and bash the ice with their swords and spears until they started to stick to the wall and freeze. "You'll never get away with this," one of the guards shouted.
Acheron said quickly said, "Let's get going."
The Doctor ran up beside Derpy, "So where are we headed to our fearless leader?"
Derpy shot the Doctor a mocking smile "We are going to a lot of places in Equestria."
Acheron let out a small chuckle and said, "You think were just going to walk all over Equestria?"
Derpy looked at her with a confident look on her face as she brushed her mane off of her face, "No we are going to fly."
Acheron quickly added, "None of us have wings and I can't fly very long with my ice magic."
Derpy smiled and faced the Doctor who was also smiling. "Oh right that's what you're talking about ok," The Doctor turned to Acheron and said, "There is an aircraft my company has been working on for a while now and I think Derpy wants to steal it."
Acheron gave a weak smile and said, "Okay umm that's I..a cool plan?"
Derpy smiled again sounding more cocky than before "I know I thought of it myself."
"So how are we going to steal the air thing?" asked a small head sticking out of Derpy's bag.
Derpy thought for a second and then put her head low to the ground "I don't know."
"Dinky get off of my head," Amethyst shouted."
"Oops sorry." Dinky crawled out of the bag onto her mom's back and threw the bag onto the ground.
Amethyst soon crawled out and picked up the bag with her magic. "So how does this thing work exactly?" Derpy quickly slid her hoof down the front of her face.
The Doctor, with a bright smile, quickly started talking, "Well, actually I've made a theory about that and....oh what was that for"
Derpy had rushed over and pecked her husband on the cheek with a kiss, "You were about to rant again."
The Doctor blushed and put a hoof behind his head "Oops sorry love, anyway the aircraft isn't too far from here." "So here is the plan I'm going to walk in normally like I do for work, they are flying it out to Saddle Arabia and I am supposed to go with them." "When they are loading up cargo I will slip you inside some crates and soon after we leave to come up to the stairs and meet me."
As the Doctor was about to walk through a large silver fence he was stopped by a yellow earth pony who's gray eyebrows covered up his eyes and asked for his ID, "Come on Phil we've known each other for forever you can let me through without and ID right," the Doctor gave off a nervous chuckle when the yellow pony in front of him shook his head. "Fine," the Doctor said as he walked away from the gate. With a few seconds of thought and rubbing his chin he let out a quiet compliment "Great idea." He ran back the fence as he greeted the yellow pony once more "I was told to tell you that that ..uh. John was having a uh sandwich party tonight at his place and he was wondering if you wanted to go?"
The yellow pony's face grew brighter as his eyes shone brightly, "Where is he I want to tell him I am going myself!"
"He's in the control room I think." the Doctor quickly added. The yellow pony ran off in the opposite direction letting the Doctor through. The Doctor quickly made his way to the blimp and loading area. There were tall lights shining brightly as ponies were rushing back and for moving stuff around and trying to load it onto the blimp.
Derpy's jaw dropped as she looked at the blimp from the top of a nearby tree, she had never seen anything so weird looking before other than twilight's ballon. Derpy's head turned slightly as she tried to imagine this huge piece of metal actually getting off the ground. The blimp looked like a hoofball except that it came to sharp points on the edge. A second part of the ship was mostly made of wood. There were metal rings that had glass in them. On top was a large deck that had one medal podium at the back which was used to control the blimp. The whole blimp had vertical lines going around it while multiple ropes at both ends held the actual blimp to the deck. On the back of the blimp, there were large metal cylinders that were shaking and emitting smoke. The entire blimp was a metallic aqua green with a darker shade of it covering the lines. As the Doctor walked up to the blimp he was stopped once again, except this time he was stopped by a blue stallion with a blonde combed mane. The station also wore a red bow tie. The Doctor stopped as his face went pale and his jaw slowly came open. The Doctor slowly started wobbling as he sank to the ground.
The stallion looked down at the Doctor and gave a confused look, "Can I help you... uh did I startle you?" The Doctor stared up at the blue station as a million thoughts flew through his head. The blue stallion helped him up "I'll be on my way sorry for scaring you." The Doctor shook his head as his face regained its color. He got up and looked around, not seeing the blue stallion, he boarded the blimp. The Doctor quickly made his way downstairs grabbed some tools and returned to the top deck. Once he found a quiet place he quickly made three medium sized crates from the left over materials. He tip-toed his way over to the fence, scrunching his nose while he did it, and pulled up the fence. Within seconds, a small gray bag was thrown the bottom of the fence as a blue light appeared in front of the Doctor.
Acheron appeared from within the blue light "Derpy come on lets move." Derpy soon after the words left Acheron's mouth flew out of the bag. Both the Doctor and Acheron smiled at Derpy's enthusiasm. Acheron used her magic to hold the bag as she calmly trotted over to one of the crates that Derpy was now sitting in.
"Can I please have the bag for twenty-five seconds," the Doctor said while raising a hoof. The bag was levitated over to the Doctor. The Doctor pulled out a stopwatch and started it as he received the bag. The doctor dove into the bag and on the 25th second, he popped back out. He threw the bag back to Acheron who caught in with her magic. The Doctor now had another mechanical arm "Ok then get in the boxes." Acheron was sitting in a box next to Derpy who now was sticking her head into the bag. The Doctor's mechanical arm went to work making hole and hammering on lids to the boxes. The Doctor shoved the arm into the last box and hammered the lid on with a rock. "HEY," the Doctor shouted. Soon a few ponies turned the corner to see the Doctor trying to push one of three boxes. Soon the group of ponies was pushing two boxes while a unicorn picked up the last box and trotted on deck. As soon as the next two crates were on the deck the blimp started to shake and smoke came out of the pipes at the back.
A pony shouted, "Last call leaving in two minutes." The Doctor walked over to the rail and stared off into the night when he saw a figure in a black robe and hood limp from out of the shadows and over to the ship. The figure stopped at the ramp to the blimp and scanned from the back of the blimp to where the Doctor was standing. The figure began to limp up the ramp and towards the Doctor. The Doctor turned to walk downstairs when he saw another hooded figure standing at the bottom of the stairs. The Doctor turned once again and became face to face with the hooded figure.
The figure lifted up his hoof to reveal a knife "Come with us." The Doctor walked in front of the hooded figure with a knife and behind the one that was at the bottom of the stairs.
The Doctor kept walking until they came to the room that held most of the crates "Look I don't know who you are but I didn't follow you because you had a knife, I followed you so you could tell me something I don't know," the Doctor said with a smile.
"You are brave but I don't want to harm you I am here to save you and a lot of ponies lives."
The Doctor now put on a stern face "If you are planning on hurting anypony I will stop you and I am giving you fair warning now."
The hooded figure let out a small chuckle " You must stop your wife, she can't let anypony else know about it."
The Doctor smiled again "What makes you think that I am going to do that." The figure pulled back his hood from off of his face revealing a head covered in black feathers and a yellow beak covered by a golden cover.
His eyes were red but the whites of his eyes were green, "I have lived through the wars that no pony remembers and I have tried to prevent them, unfortunately, I have failed many times but I can see wars in your eyes as well did you try to stop them?"
The Doctor turned around and tapped on the crate above him "Come on honey." Two lids popped off of the crates revealing Derpy and Acheron. Derpy dove at the uncovered Griffon when the second figure pulled out a sword. Derpy hit the floor and felt a sword being held against the back of her neck.
"If anyone moves she dies." the hooded figure said.
"A hologram very good but how did you get a hold of it?" the Doctor asked.
Derpy shouted, "Doctor" in disbelief that he wasn't doing anything to help.
The griffon smiled "It isn't a hologram it's a...," the griffon was cut off immediately when a carrot flew from out of nowhere and hit him in the forehead knocking him out.
"I needed to use the bathroom and you FORGOT ABOUT ME!" Carrot Top shouted.
The Doctor blushed and let out small nervous laughs, "Heh heh sorry about that."
Carrot Top smiled, "But dang that carrot launcher can hurt if you get hit by it." The Doctor tip-toed quickly behind Acheron who was still registering everything that had just happened. The Doctor peeked up from behind Acheron's back only showing his eyes. Suddenly all of the ponies n the room began to look down spreading all of their legs farther apart to gain balance at the boards to feel it begin to move. The Doctor smiled as he ran shakily towards the stairs.
Derpy got up and shouted at him "What about this guy?"
Acheron shook her head as she finally entered the real world again, "Um. I got him." Derpy and Carrot Top ran shakily after the Doctor. Once Carrot Top and Derpy got up to the deck they saw the Doctor by the rails as two ponies were holding him down. Derpy rushed in as she tried to get the pony's off of him. Before she could reach him Derpy was tackled by an orange pony.
"Captian we have two of the outlaws, we think there might be more beneath the deck." Four ponies ran down the stairs and within minutes they came back up with Carrot Top, Dinky, Acheron, and the griffon. The Captian had a bluish coat and a stubbly white beard. He had on a long dark navy blue trench coat that split at the end just barely covering up his cutie mark. He wore a large top hat that extended just a few inches above his horn. Derpy looked past her friends and the griffon to see a cage being put together in the middle of the deck.
"Alright put them in but we can't turn around now, we'll have to message the princess when we get to Saddle Arabia." The ponies were led to the cage while the griffon was dragged across the deck to it. Once they were all in a hole lowered them into the lower deck. The Captian walked over to see them enter the dark as the deck closed above them.
"Mommy are we going to jail?" Dinky said out of the darkness.
"I don't know b.." Derpy stopped speaking as she saw the griffon's eyes staring at her through the darkness, "You're a mother?"
Derpy smiled at the griffon through the darkness as she moved her hooves around till she found her children and pulled them close to her, "I have two children Amethyst my oldest and Dinky." Suddenly above them on deck, there were ponies shouting and running around.
"What is that I've never seen anything like this before!" The captain ran up to the front of the blimp in time to see a massive cloud come into view that was swirling down into a funnel. A loud boom came from inside of it which emitted purple and blue lightning bolts.
"May the princesses have mercy on our souls," he quietly muttered. He ran back up to the podium and took off his top hat with his magic. His horn began to glow a bright blue which spread into a thin barrier covering up the blip and deck. He began slowly working away at the levers and nobs at the podium trying to steer the blimp away from the clouds. Wzzzzzz."Honey what are you doing," Derpy asked through the darkness at her husband who was fiddling with something in his hoof.
"Come on almost.." he was cut off by most of the bars surrounding them falling off of the cage. "Let's go," the Doctor shouted. Once they made their way to the bottom of the stairs the Doctor turned to his family and motioned for them to stay and for the griffon to come. They both ran onto the deck seeing ponies holding onto each other and anything sturdy. "Guard me if anypony try to stop me," the Doctor said to the griffon.
The griffon unsheathed his sword revealing a long katana, "My name Kauter."
The Doctor trotted over to the control panel "I can see you're having a very hard time concentrating, here let me help you." The Doctor gave him a quick nudge which was enough to get him out of the way.
"Stop your going to kill us all," the captain managed to say.
"Oh don't worry this is basic technology I can manage, also, this is our getaway vehicle and that cloud is the fuel for that getaway vehicle.
"So the blimp should be here in a few days but until then we need to prepare the machine the princess is building."
"I Do agree on senator but what happens if there is an accident between Ponyville and Saddle Arabia?"
The senator laughed "It is the newest of technology and it has been tested many times before this flight, there is nothing to be worried about."
"Ok but I still think we should be prepared just in case." The senator walked over to the window and opened the blinds letting light into the completely dark room. An orange mare covered her eyes as the sun entered the room revealing a headdress that was made of different colors and shapes. As her golden eyes readjusted to the light she walked over to the window where the tan senator was standing.
"Saddle Arabia is composed of vast towers made of thee finest golden brick sand which protects against wind-sand erosion and there hardly is any rain here so we don't have to worry about that, I don't know what you're so worried about."
The orange mare was now in a sitting position running her hooves through her purple mane, "Please senator reconsider, I have always been right about my feelings why don't you listen."
The senator let out a heavy sigh as his face stiffened up, "I had you voted onto the board because I thought you could make good choices, and you have I don't doubt it, but I can't have you make everyone go into hiding because you have a feeling."
The orange mare suddenly looked beyond the city, beyond the stables below, beyond the dessert, and possibly beyond her own mind, "There here." suddenly a large black cloud came into view over the large mountains of sand. Behind it were massive gray clouds emitting both blue and purple lightning. The black cloud didn't really look like a cloud but more like smoke. The senator looked into the cloud as something began to slowly fall out of it. The senators eyes widened as he saw a blimp very slowly and at a slant start moving straight for the ground.
The senator turned from the window and ran to the closed door, as he opened it a gear sounded which brought down a large cone. He took the cone back to the window and let out a loud call "Everypony get to the Memoriam cellar, prepare for a disaster!"
"Acheron do something," Derpy shouted over the wind. Acheron used her magic to hold dinky while running around on board. The Doctor still at the podium was controlling the direction of their quick decent while the captain was holding onto his leg. Kauter had stuck his sword into the deck and was calmly holding himself still.
Amethyst ran to the front of the crashing blimp and began to use her magic trying to slow the fall, "If there are any more unicorns on board please help!" One unicorn lets go of a pole he was desperately holding onto and slid down the deck to Amethyst. He nodded to her as he began using his magic. Acheron ran up to the front of the blimp and froze Dinky's hooves to the deck so that she couldn't fall, both of them began to use their magic on the blimp.
The Doctor looked down and the Captian who was now beginning to sweat, "What are you even doing, why don't you help them?"
The captain looked up at the Doctor with an amount of fury in his eyes, "What do you think I have been doing, I am protecting everypony on the blimp with my protection spell."
Derpy pulled herself off of the ground and shouted, "We need to get some pegasi to pull at the back to stop the blimp." Quickly she was surrounded by a small group as she began to take off. Before she got off the ground she was pulled back down, "Don't forget about the griffon," Kauter said with a smirk. Kauter let go of his sword as he took off, leaving it on the deck. Below the towers of Saddle Arabia ponies were screaming and yelling as they ran through alleyways and streets. An orange unicorn quickly walked through the streets using his green magic to create an umbrella of magic.
All around him were fillies of different ages letting out whimpers and small screams, "Come on fillies I'll get you somewhere safe." He was wearing a manila fly mask with green goggles over the eye holes. "I can't believe he is having me wear this."
A small purple filly looked up and asked, "Who is making you wear that mask."
The stallion smiled, "His name is the doctor and I would imagine he will be here soon." Suddenly a large group of ponies came running from behind a corner, they all ran to the station and thanked them for protecting their children as the quickly returned to behind the corner he used his magic to pull off the goggles and the mask. He pulled the goggles over his red hair and around his neck then sighed, "Better get going." As he trotted through the abandoned streets he found himself lost. "Umm where was that cellar," he looked around then he looked up. "I should probably get to higher ground to figure out how to get through this maze of a city. He quickly entered a tower and climbed up the large spiral staircase. "Dang I should have just used my magic and flew up here, whatever." The top of the tower was high above the city, he quickly pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and began taking notes of how to get through the city.
He thought he heard someone screaming so he looked down over the edge to see where the source of screaming was coming from, "Tick Tock."
He thought "Ha now I'm hearing things, I could have swo.."
His mouth clamped shut as he turned around and saw a massive blimp heading straight for him "Stop the blimp," he heard coming from the blimp. He closed his eyes tightly and he started focusing all of his magic trying to stop it.
He opened one eye just in time to see the blimp make a sharp turn, causing the side of the blimp to be closer to him now, "I guess this is my sign to jump on." He now used his magic the boost himself onto the deck "Doctor!?" He made another quick turn causing them to dodge the tower Tick Tock was just standing on.
"Help us," Tick Tock turned to the front seeing four unicorns trying their hardest to stop the blimp. He lit up his horn and began to help.
The Doctor's face turned from being confident to being nervous as numbers began running through his head, "Umm abandon blimp."
The Captian looked up with a pale face,"Are you sure?" The Doctor looked down with a frown a nodded. The Captian got up and shouted abandon the blimp!"
The unicorns ran back up to the Doctor, "What are your plans to get us and the earth ponies off.
The Doctor smiled and looked at Tick Tock "Do you still have the key." He smiled back as pulled a key out of a small hole in his goggles, he walked to the middle of the deck and held it up with his magic. Suddenly wind started blowing accompanied by a loud gong and chimes. From within the wind came a blue box that faded into existence.
"Everybody in." Tick Tock shouted as he ran inside.
Soon ponies began to group around it, "we can't all fit in there," one of them said.
Seconds later the doors opened again "Are you coming or not," soon all of the ponies were sucked in by something from inside. Tick Tock ran back out and shouted, "Tell the pegasi to let go."
The Doctor smiled, "Derpy tell them to let go, we have the tardis back." Tick tock smiled as the name came out of the Doctor's mouth. The Doctor ran into the tardis soon followed by Tick Tock. Within seconds, the same sounds returned as the blue box disappeared. Derpy let go of the blimp along with the other ponies.
Kauter smiled as he saw the blimp heading straight for a large building "That was.." Kauter's eyes shrunk into small pin points.
Kauter flew back towards the blimp "Where are you going," Derpy shouted after Kauter. Kauter got on deck and took hold of his sword that was implanted in the deck. He was about to fly away when he both saw and heard a filly crying at the end of the deck. Realising the distance between the building and the blimp, Kauter pushed off the deck ,helping him gain more speed, and flew towards Dinky. He threw his sword into the deck, grabbed Dinky while still holding onto the sword and used the momentum to swing them towards the stairs. When they were just above the stairs he stuck the sword into the deck again flinging themselves down the stairs. Derpy looked in horror as the blimp smashed into the top of the building. Holding Dinky in his left arm and grabbing onto a pole behind the stairs with his other Kauter looked down into the chasm below them.
"Ok kid how well can you fly with your magic."
Dinky looked up at with him and frowned, "I can't, I can barely use my magic."
Kauter focused on the whole on the deck that led down about a hundred feet onto a large open floor. "I'm not going to hold on very well here in just a minute."
Dinky turned her head away from the ground and asked why.
"My sword stabbed me and I'm possibly going to bleed out." Kauter let go of the bar sending them both towards the hole in the deck. He hooked his talons into the deck while at the same time almost dropping Dinky. "Oh yeah kid my head is swimming now."
Dinky frowned as she looked at the ground and frowned, "I'm sorry that we are going to die because of me."
Kauter let out a small pained laugh "Were not going to die because of me, you're going to live and I will die because of myself." Dinky looked up in confusion when his sword came flying out of nowhere. He grabbed it a stuck it deeply into the deck, "Hold on now dinky." He lifted Dinky up and made sure she was hanging onto the sword before he let go. He frowned as he fell listening and the sounds of the wind as death greeted him.
"Where's Dinky," Derpy shouted at the top of her lungs as she passed through the crowd of ponies that were now inside of the tardis. Derpy found her way to the console and pressed a button that popped out a microphone.
The Doctor walked up to Derpy with a frown," Dinky isn't here and the last place she was seen was on the blimp."
Derpy's face went pale as she slowly dropped to the ground, "Is this your pain," she mumbled to herself. While on the ground the Doctor wrapped a forearm around her head and pulled her close to his chest. Derpy suddenly jumped up and over the rails, "Acheron!"
Derpy found Acheron talking with Amethyst and Carrot Top around a cicular blue table in a room away from the control room, "Oh I've had so many adventures with my family in this time machine I can't even count them all, oh speak of the devil hey mom." Carrot Top and Acheron turned around to see Derpy quickly approaching the table.
Seeing Derpy looking towards her Acheron spoke up saying, "What's wrong?"
Upon arrival at the table, Derpy turned around and kicked Acheron out of her chair and onto the ground," You froze Dinky to the deck of the blimp and nopony has been able to find her, you best be praying to Luna and Celestia that I find her alive and well." "Doctor," Derpy shouted as she ran back the control room.
He turned his head as he heard Derpy shouting it, "Where do we need to go."
"We need to go back, Dinky might be alive still," The Doctor nodded and started pulling levers along with Derpy, "Everypony hold on!" The Tardis started shaking as the Doctor and Derpy held onto the counsel.
The Doctor's face suddenly went serious, "Derpy get ready to catch somepony," Derpy nodded and pulled a lever that opened the tardis doors and another that made them glow blue. The tardis rang and wooshed in its normal way, within seconds of arrival a griffon flew through the doors and was floating in air unconsciously.
Derpy quickly noted that blood was quickly coming out from underneath one of his arms," Doctor he's bleeding."
Acheron rushed into the room and started using magic on him "I can slow down the bleeding and start to heal him but it won't be enough."
The Doctor looked up and said, "I can help with that." With blue magic surrounding the griffon, the Doctor closed his eyes and focused. When he opened his eyes they had turned a shining gold, golden streams flowed out from his eyes and onto Kauter. The Doctor sat back down and passed out.
Acheron smiled, "He's going to be alright."
From outside of the doors came a loud shout "Mommy I can't hold on much longer." Derpy ran to the doors and looked out to see Dinky holding onto something high above the tardis. Derpy poked her head out of the tardis and noticed they were parked sideways on a wall.
"Mommy's coming to get you," Derpy flew up as fast as she could and held onto Dinky. Derpy pulled but Dinky wouldn't budge, "You can let go mommy has you,"
Dinky shook her head "No we have to take the sword with us."
Derpy shook her head as she rolled her eyes "Fine." Derpy flew down to the tardis, placed her inside of it, and came back up to grab the sword.
"Where am I," Kauter faintly said as his eyes tried to flicker open.
"Your back home and I imagine you will be alright now if you need us again just holler." Kauter closed his eyes again as the chorus of sounds faded into the distance.
"There you are, I told you not to leave until I said you could but you did anyway." Kauter opened his eyes fully to see a griffon standing above him. The griffon helped him up and put his arm over his shoulder "What happened to you, you very warm and to have a scar under your feathers?"
"Let's get to the meeting and I will tell you all about it." Kauter released himself from the griffon that was holding him up and walked into a massive room that had a stump of a tree in the middle of it. Kauter walked over to it and jumped on top of in until a large gear sounded, He hopped off of the stump and back over to the other griffon." The stump opened just enough to let one of them in at a time, Kauter walked over to it and backed his way down a ladder inside. At the bottom was a small hallway that led to a door. Kauter knocked on it four times which was when they were let in. Inside was a massive golden room and a large table with a golden cloth covering it. Griffons sat around the table on all sides except for two spots at the end.
"Welcome, home King Kauter. Kauter walked around the table looking straight ahead until he found himself in his seat.
"Ok, then griffons I have a lot to tell you." "Within the past 24 hours I have almost been killed twice, and within those hours, I have been knocked out two times." "Like our scouts have said there is another Sun war coming if we can't stop it, and this looks like a very terrible war probably the worst we have ever seen." Within the room, every griffon was gasping and murmuring between themselves and the news. I have drained my power creating the storm that brought me closer to my plan but it failed me, but we have bigger problems than that." Kauter put on his most serious face as he looked at his subjects, "The prophecy has come true." "The machine that can travel through time has now come upon us wich means this next Sun war will be last war, for better or for worse." "We have to make a choice now that will affect all of Equestria, will we go to war or save ourselves from the chaos of the wars like have done few times in the past."
A griffon stood up from out in the crowd "We have ran many times and I thirst for war again, we have been here for thousands of years and I am ready to fight again."
Kauter looked at him with a stern expression "We didn't make that machine so you could kill yourself in every life you get, and I am really sorry you have to live with it as I do." "War changes ponies and griffons alike, we lose everything we love as it degrades into dust." The griffon looked down for a second before he took his seat. Kauter stood up from his chair and shouted "Doctor!"
The griffons looked concerned for a second "Do you need a Doctor, are you alright?"
Kauter smiled a tiny bit, "No I need the Doctor."
Suddenly wind started blowing as a chorus of sounds took over the room, one griffon got up and shouted "Whats going on?'' A light flashed from the middle of the table and a blue box appeared. Kauter jumped up onto the table and knocked on it four times, after a few seconds he knocked again.
Kauter gave a confused look and opened the door enough to poke his head through the door, "Doctor are you in here?" Inside the Doctor was laying on the ground with his family surrounding him while Carrot Top, Tick Tock, and Acheron were standing off to the side. Kauter rushed inside "What's wrong with him?" As Kauter entered the group the Doctor looked worn down and tired, "Doctor what's wrong."
The Doctor looked up at him and imeadely perked up, "Oh it's nothing what did you need?"
"Can you all follow me," Kauter said as he started walking back towards the doors of the tardis. Once they were outside they were greeted with all kinds of expressions. "Doctor this is my meeting room and we have a decision to make."
The griffon's jaw that stood up earlier dropped as the Doctor came outside of the tardis, "You meant this Doctor."
The Doctor gave a confused look "Do I know you because I never forget a face." Kauter shot the griffon a look that told him to stay quiet.
"Umm no but I've heard stories."
Kauter felt relieved with that out of the way, "Now then Doctor you have made a prophy come true and we need to know how to go about it."
"Ok then tell me what is this prophy." Kauter started walking back and forth between the wall and the table, "The final sun war is about to take place if you really do want to fight Celestia."
The Doctor looked at Derpy then back at Kauter, "In all of my time in Equestria I have never heard of a sun war."
Kauter blew out some air in a very small laugh "Nopony has except the griffons, we have been trying to protect Equestria since Celestia came into reign."
Derpy rose a hoof into the air, "So there were rulers before the princesses?"
Kauter laughed louder this time "Ponies know nothing compared to us, how about I tell you the complete rule over Equestria.
The First ruler of Equestria was Tirek but not as everypony knew him. He was weaker back then and he didn't have his power. He was a great ruler but as all great things must end so did he. He was pushed to his death by the ponies who were protecting him when traveling along a cliff side. The ponies were Chancellor Puddinghead, Princess Platinum, and Commander Hurricane. They soon fought each other to the death before either one of them could take his place. Soon after their death the crystal empire was built in honor of its first alicorn, Queen Crystals. A very powerful Unicorn was put into the spot of the king until the alicorn grew up. As she grew up the king kept a close watch on her. As she grew they started to become more and more attached to each other. They became best friends but old age would eventually catch up with him. When she realised this she had just turned 15. She began learning a spell that could change a ponies age back so that they were younger. Without hesitation the unicorn king let her cast the spell on him, Unfortunately, the spell came with a cost. She gave her heart to the empire and it turned to crystal. Over the next few days, she became weaker and weaker until the whole empire feared that she would die. They all gathered around the crystal heart and began to give their love to the dying princess. Suddenly the heart sprang to life and so did the princess. Every year they gathered and gave their love to the princess so that she could live. The king and the queen ruled all of Equestria and the Crystal Empire.
Derpy quickly raised a hoof to say that she need a break. "So you're saying that Crystal Heart isn't to protect the empire but to keep the princess alive." Kauter coughed a tiny bit "Let me finish the story how bout' you, but before I go on I need you to forget all of the stories you have heard about villains and all of the stories you have heard about evil." The king was happy with the queen but he wanted something more. One day he finally got the courage to ask her hoof in marriage, of course, she said yes. When they got married the king changed his name to Sombra, King Sombra. They lived happily for about 80 years until the power in the Empire wasn't great enough to keep both Queen Crystals and King Sombra alive. All of the ponies gathered at the castle in the middle of the empire and began to give their love but it wasn't enough. The queen and the king stayed up for days in the library trying to find a way to keep each other alive. Both of them found a way but each would most likely kill themselves. King Sombra found a spell that would give him a great amount of power, enough to save the empire and his queen. Queen Crystals found a spell that would rot her body but would let her feed off of pure love and not just a crystal transmitter. They both tried their spells at the same time which destroyed the empire. Queen Crystals spell was too great and it backfired on half of the ponies in the empire. King Sombra's spell gave him to much power and he couldn't control it, it slowly took over him and made him evil. Queen Crystals saw what was coming so she gave him immortal powers so that eventually he would see his wrong. Crystals was forgotten and King Sombra lived on. Luna tried to stop him and that is when he banished the empire. Crystals name changed over time and it was remembered as Chrysalis. Derpy rose her hoof again "If Sombra was granted immortal powers how come he died when he attacked the Crystal Heart?" Kauter sighed "Even though we have been around a long time doesn't mean we know all of the facts."
After the fall of the Crystal Empire, the Dragons took over. The Dragons lived in the south and there were two leaders in their rule over Equestria. The first Dragon to rule was the great red dragon. He was a very...shy leader for a dragon, but during his rule, he made the Dragon's Book of Law's. And the first rule was after 100 years of being a ruler the dragon leader must allow other dragons to compete for the spot. From out latest information, he was seen in Ponyville quite recently.
The second ruler was the great green dragon was the next ruler. He was a very selfish dragon which made him one of the biggest dragons in all of Equestria. He collected a large amount of gold and jewels during his reign when his time was up he took it all with him to a cave in the Everfree forest. Then the dragons broke away from being rulers of Equestria.
The third ruler was Gorgon of the dark. He was the second most powerful dragon know to this day. He spread fear wherever he went. One of his tactics was pulling a massive black cloud with him where ever he went so he could camouflage. His eyes were a bright purple and his scales were black as night. His most evil power is that he could turn anything he saw into stone. His reign was cut short when he saw a "Impersenator" when he looked into a pond so he turned it to stone. He was stupid enough that he himself to stone.
The fourth ruler was Steven Magnet. He was a fierce ruler until he found a beautiful rock. He attached it to a stone scepter and called it the bloodstone scepter. He was heartbroken when he had to give it up.
The next ruler was the great green dragon. He wasn't very special he ruled justly until Dragonlord torch, then Dragonlord ember.
The First griffon king was Grofer. He brought Equestria together by using the idol of Forious. We only ruled for 200 years until king Guto. That was when the idol was stolen by Arabatsby. Kauter was now looking at the ground with a frown. Imeadetly after Discord found Equestria and you know the story about him.
Dinky walked out from underneath her mom "All the stories we know are wrong but Discord's is wrong?"
"Discord was always chaotic and so much was known about him that we didn't even keep track out selves, but I imagine the only reason Celestia came to Equestria was because she wanted to overthrow Discord."
Dinky spoke up again, "But wait Discord and luna were both imprisoned 1,000 years ago and you say there have been a lot of sun wars, but it takes thousands of years for something to be lost in history."
Kauter thought in his mind for a second of how to explain how it worked, "Umm it's very confusing but let's just say Discord resets time for ponies so they forget about the wars but its more like they can't remember it, but they also are different ponies.. its.. a whats a good way to explain it."
Suddenly the Doctor shouted, "It's wibibly wobbly timey wimey, ahh it's been forever since I said that."
"Kauter smiled "Exactly." By the time Discord was turned to stone Luna noticed that Celestia would often stare at him as a lover would. As days, past luna got more suspicious. Luna made her way to a library in a nearby town and began to look for powerful items and that is when she came across an item crafted by a powerful wizard that lived up in the mountains. Luna decided to make the trip but it was full of traps made by the wizard to stop intruders. Luna tried and failed, but she tried again more prepared than the last time. As she found herself at the top of the mountain she was greeted by the wizard. The wizard's name was Starswirl the Bearded. Starswirl knew that she was there for the alicorn amulet. Also knowing that she was the princess he handed it over, but he warned her and made her promise that when it got out of control that she hide it away in the deepest parts of a secret place. When she got back home she showed her sister, when she put it on nothing happened. Luna let her sister try it on but nothing happened. Luna obeyed Star swirl and decided that if it was going to go out of control she should hide it anyway. She buried it deep in the Everfree forest where no pony could find it. Celestia wanted to make it work so she went into the forest and got it again. She assembled a machine that could duplicate it and change it. When it came out it had separated into a blue and red amulet, and Acheron we believe that you now own the blue amulet, am I correct. Acheron nodded. Anyway, Celestia put the blue amulet back where she found the original. Celestia gave the amulet to a storekeeper who promised to keep it safe until she needed it. When Luna finally acted out against her sister and accused her of being evil Celestia sent her own sister Luna to the moon.
Just as Kauter finished his story a griffon came running into the room, "Kauter its the Queen Crystals, she's awake."
Kauter nodded, "Ok every griffon ready up we are going to war, prepare to meet the queen."
The Doctor ran over to the tardis, "Come on let's get outside," the Doctor ran into the tardis followed by a large group of ponies. The tardis took off as the familiar sounds left the room. Kauter ran over to a wall and pulled a torch down. On both sides of the table popped open empty archways meanwhile the table starts to move into the ground. Kauter ran into an archway closest to him and through a rock tunnel, at the end, it opens into a massive dome-like room full of stalls rooms and griffons.
Kauter heard a shout from behind, "What do you want me to tell the troops," The same griffon that stood up was running towards him.
"Hailstone um I need you to tell them to activate the empty nest protocol." He nodded and ran back to the direction he came from. Kauter ran to a room that was labeled "The King" Kauter ran inside and put on new mask. The mask was golen with designs all over it while there three holes in it, two for his eyes and one for his mouth and beak. He pulled on two golden gauntlets that fit his talons perfectly. The gauntlets were gold as well. They came to even sharper points then his own talons. He pulled a large black cape over his neck and ran out.
Once he was outside he saw rows upon rows of griffons in similar armor that he had except theirs were silver. The Doctor stood on a far end of a row near the front. As Kauter arrived Derpy ran out of the tardis with flaming armor on. Derpy was followed by Dinky who was dragging his sword in her mouth.
Kauter rushed to her, "Are you going to be fighting with us today," he said in a scarstic voice.
Dinky set the sword down and frowned "No i'm to young to fight,"
Kauter laughed and picked us his sword, "Ok then maybe next time." Kauter now looked twords the Doctor, "I can see the war in your eyes better now, but what is your war?"
The Doctor looked at Kauter with a cocky smile "If you saw my war you would be running for the hills."
Kauter laughed "Maybe someday I will, also if you want to follow the group in your box i'd like Derpy to fly with me for a while." Kauter walked to the front of the griffons. "Ok then griffons do triangle war formation and we will fly." The griffons atarted moving into different places and one specific griffon was put in the front. Gilda looked at Kauter in astonishment. Kauter looked her straight in the eyes "Is there a problem Gilda."
She blushed under her feathers and her mask, "Um no sir." Kauter turned around "That's right, ok every griffon lets move out."
Kauter started to run towards the edge of the cliff as the other griffons imeadetly started to follow him, once at the edge Kauter took a large leap into the open air as his wings spread open. The Doctor ran inside to a group of ponies ready to fly, the Doctor smiled as they all began to pull different levers. Kauter started flying straight down as sounds of rocks shifting followed him. Behind the group following him came another group of griffons in armor but on their backs were different types of equipment. As Derpy slowly followed the group Kauter backed his was up to her, "Derpy I want to know, are you really ready to go to war with all of Equestria?"
Derpy gave a confused look, "What do you mean all of Equestria?"
Kauter chuckled, "So you think that we are going to fight Celestia who everypony worship and not expect rebellions against us."
Dery looked down at the ground now "Well I guess I thought once we told them the truth they would listen to us."Kauter started flying faster to get to the front of the griffons while Derpy tried her best to catch up to him.
Once they were at the front he shouted out "Doctor!"
Kauter waited and nothing came but before he was about to shout again a voice came from inside of his head, "Kauter don't worry it's me the Doctor I have you linked to the tardis so I can talk to you."
Kauter shook his head in disbelief and shouted: "Doctor get out of my head!"
The Doctor shook his head from inside the tardis, "Sorry, no can do if I fly too close I could hit one of your griffons, and by the way you don't need to shout to talk to me."
Kauter just shook his head in disappointment, "Anyway Doctor, can you follow us through one of those storms that we were hit by in the blimp."
From inside the tardis, the Doctor's eyes grew, "I knew you did it, and yes." Kauter turned around to Derpy and shouted, "Fall back I'm going to have the Doctor pick you up." Hearing a cue the Doctor few back behind the massive group of griffons and pulled Derpy inside the tardis. Once Derpy was inside the Doctor noticed Derpy looking at the ground with a frown.
The Doctor walked over to her and wrapped a forehoof around her neck and pulled her in for a quick hug, "What's wrong love, what's bothering you?"
Derpy looked up at him still frowning, "If we go to war Kauter told me that all of Equestria will be involved and that would also means that a lot of ponies could die."
The Doctor pulled Derpy in for another hug, "I know you're worried but it is to save a lot of ponies in the future, and if we don't go to war, nothing will happen and the cycle will repeat."
Derpy started to nuzzle the Doctors shoulder, "Thank you, I really appreciate it."
Carrot Top walked over to Derpy, "I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with you since the last crazy thing happened and I want to talk about it."
Derpy smiled, "Oh course anything what do you want to talk about." Carrot Top motioned with her head towards Acheron who was looking straight at her. Derpy nodded as Carrot Top took the lead. Acheron led them both into a room similar to the one with the table. Derpy looked at Carrot Top then Acheron, "What's up," she slowly said as she continually exchanged glances.
Acheron looked at the ground as Carrot Top placed a hoof around her neck, "Derpy I am so sorry for all the trouble I've caused in your life, I didn't mean to stick Dinky to the deck it was an accident."
Derpy smiled and wrapped her hooves around her neck as well, "It's ok and I shouldn't have reacted the way I did."
Suddenly the tardis began to shake again, from outside of the room Derpy heard the Doctor shout "Hold on!" Minutes passed until the tardis stopped shaking. Derpy ran out of the room and to the front doors when she opened them she was greeted by a desolate gray wasteland made of black rocks and green goo.
Derpy flew outside and up to Kauter, when she got there she noticed that he wasn't feeling too good, "Are you alright?" Kauter, who's head was shaking, managed to ask if he could stay in the tardis. Before he entered he told Hailstone to take command. Derpy stayed outside with Hailstone, "So how do you really know the Doctor I saw it in your eyes."
Hailstone kept looking forward as he flew, "I'm not allowed to say."
Derpy frowned and gave him her biggest puppy eyes, "Sorry Ms. Hooves that won't work on me if you haven't forgotten I'm a griffon a not nice species." Derpy looked down and saw a runway with a whole bunch of ponies standing next to it, Hailstone moved his arm up and down while pointing to the runway. All of the griffons started to follow him down and so did the Doctor. Once on the ground the griffons sat down and everypony except Kauter came out of the tardis.
The Doctor looked around, "Well this isn't too amazing but it will do, so what are we doing here anyway?"
Hailstone stood up and walked over to the Doctor, "No griffon knows only Kauter does and he is unable to do anything right now, so we will have to wait till it passes."
The Doctor noticed that none of the ponies had talked at all, the Doctor walked over to one of them and asked, "Who are we meeting and when will they be here?"
The yellow mare thought for a minute until the Doctor asked the question again, "She will be here momentarily," the pony replied. The Doctor shouted for everypony and griffon to be quiet.
The only sound that could be heard was the faint sound of buzzing, "Hailstone opened his eyes, "It's a trap, get into protective formations" he shouted. Suddenly the griffons pushed the Doctor and Derpy into the middle of the circle while the griffons with the different gear stood on a second outer circle. The Doctor squinted as he saw a massive wave of bug like ponies coming over the horizon. The ponies on the side of the runway began to flash green which revealed the bug like ponies. The yellow pony that the Doctor talked to walked forward and flashed the green color except this pony resembled an alicorn on a larger level than the smaller ones.
"I can sense that you love something very dearly that is contained it that box, give it to me and I will spare your lives."
All the griffons laugh simultaneously while Hailstone appeared from the group, "Your crazy if you think we are willingly going to give him over."
The Bug pony smiled, "Oh it's a living thing that's worth more than I expected."
Hailstone hopped back into the circle when the Doctor hopped out, "Hello creatures what can we call your race?"
The bug pony became confused by his question, "We are the changelings, and who are you to be so bold to come out of your circle and talk to me straight on."
The Doctor smiled, "I am the Doctor and I will give you one chance to leave us alone, next time out meet won't be very nice."
The changeling recoiled in disbelief, "You want to be killed right on the spot don't you."
He laughed "No no but you will only have one chance to do it, so do you want it now or later?"
The changeling smiled, "Now." Suddenly she disappeared. All the griffons began to murmur but stayed still. The Doctor pushed his way into the outer circle facing out.
A griffon behind him raised his talons and was about to hit the Doctor when a shout came from the tardis "STOP!" Kuter held his sword above his the changeling griffon's head, blade facing the circle, "Let's negotiate." As soon as the griffon looked him in the eyes she froze and lost her disguise. All the griffons turned inward and pointed their weapons at her, she used her magic to create a dome that cleared a path to Kauter. She slowly walked up to him as her magic stopped the continuous bombardment of weapons against her.
Kauter held the sword between her neck and his face. She smiled as tears ran down her face, "After all this you survived for me."
Kauter pressed the sword lightly against her neck, "Queen Crystals I am not here to give you my men's love, I'm here to inform you of another sun war."
The queen instantly backed up, "How do you know me I thought everypony forgot except you, well not you but the other you."
Kauter shook his head in confusion, "We have been watching all over Equestria ever since tirek was in reign."
The Queen squinted, "So you remember me through history?"
Kauter looked down at his sword, "I have lived since then but it's like time is missing or something, most likely an effect of a sun war." The griffons had reformed into a line while the changelings returned into rows. The Doctor and Derpy now stood next to the tardis while Kauter and Crystals were talking.
"So you don't remember anything besides your sword?"
Kauter shook his head, "I just woke up with this sword and I have always had it."
Crystals looked at Kauter and into his eyes, "You don't remember me?"
Kauter shook his head again, "You keep acting like I would know you but I don't."
Crystals frowned, "Ok anyway tell me about this war."
Derpy suddenly fell into the tardis as she looked up at Carrot Top, "Sorry."
Derpy got up and brushed herself off, "Do you still need me, sorry I ran out earlier. Carrot Top gave a simple nod. As they returned back into the room Acheron had built a sculpture from ice. Derpy coughed as they walked into the room. Acheron started to blush considering it was a sculpture of Carrot Top and Derpy. It a flash of light it was gone. "So what do you need to talk about this time," Derpy said with a smile.
Acheron's face went serious, "It's my mom, she is alive again somehow and I can feel her."
Derpy frowned, "The tardis made a connection with you and it will often give small powers to gifted people like you, you could easily be feeling her from a distant time."
Acheron shook her head," No that's not it I can feel her she is alive and I think she is doing well, but I don't know where she is."
Derpy shook her head and smiled, "So if she is alive what is the problem."
Carrot Top and Acheron shared a glance and then looked back at Derpy, "I was stuck in Acheron city before luna was sent to the moon, my mom should be dead."
As the Doctor waved goodbye to the three griffons, one being Kauter and the other two being guards, He noticed Crystals with a frown on her face. Kauter saluted, "Doctor can you pick me up in about 30 seconds from now when you're done with whatever you're doing?" The Doctor nodded as he hopped into the tardis, the sounds of the tardis left and no sooner than thirty seconds later reappeared. When no pony came out he went in. Once inside his jaw dropped. The tardis was on fire in various place while the control panel was smoking and steaming. As he walked further into the main room he noticed beams that were around the control panel had fallen over.
A guard poked his head through the door and asked, "Do you need any assistance."
Kauter quickly flew to the door and made sure that the guard didn't see the destruction, "Yeah I'm fine just stay out there." Kauter walked over to the control panel, "Oh Doctor what have you left me with," he said quietly to himself as he softly stroked it.
Kauter began to pull levers and pressing buttons until a holographic image of the Doctor appeared, "You must have found the tardis is disrepair and me not with it, you are worried and want to help me." The tardis sprung to life as the doors locked which was followed by the guards demanding to be let in. As the tardis left he could hear Crystals screaming for him to come back. As the tardis vanished from existence and soon landed again Kauter began to feel guilty. Kauter unsheathed his sword and walked towards the door, but before he opened the door he realised that if the Doctor really is in trouble then his enemy must be very powerful. Kauter walked back to the control panel and went back to the wasteland.
Kauter walked to the doors once again and pushed them outwards, "Ok fine let's go" Crystals smiled and they rushed in. Kauter, once at the control panel, turned around to see all the changelings inside the tardis, "Ok hold on." The tardis took off and began to shake. Once it landed again Kauter rushed to the door. As he opened it he was surrounded by a luscious, damp, green jungle. Kauter walked out in awe, "This place is amazing." Kauter laughed a little as he stepped onto the dead leaves beneath him, "Crystals make sure not to lose your changelings in here."
From behind Crystals laughed, "No no I'm just going to leave them in the box thing." The guards stepped outside of the tardis and shut the door, then they immediately came to Kauter's side. As Kauter held his sword out cutting through incoming vines, he felt the feeling from earlier. His head began to swim again, but he turned around and shook his head. Suddenly Crystals disappeared, "Chrissy, where did that come from?" Kauter closed his eyes and fell back but he felt his guards catch him roughly and pulled him back up as his head was hanging back limply. As they pulled him up his head fell forward onto his chest. He blinked and he was strapped into a chair. As he tried to lift his arms up he realised he wasn't in the jungle anymore but on a flat rock surface. He suddenly jolted his head up and looked around. The rock was submerged in a large ocean in the middle of nowhere. The sky was grey and full of clouds creating a gloomy atmosphere.
The ocean stretched out for miles with no sign of anything except the rock and chair he was strapped to, "Where am I he mumbled to himself."
A voice from out of the sky surprised him when it spoke, "Kauter I never needed this, why did you come back for me?''
Kauter shook his head again, "Who are you, where am I?"The voice did not respond. Kauter looked down at each of his arms then out in front of him where Crystals was standing. "Chrissy, where are?" She said nothing but began to walk towards him. She walked around to his back and began to pull both him and the chair along the rock. Kauter looked behind the chair to see the ocean lashing out at the rocks beneath them, "Chrissy, you're not planning on dropping me in there are you?" She just smiled as kicked the chair towards to edge. Kauter screamed a loud, "No" as he fell. When Crystals looked over the edge she saw Kauter flying up towards her. Kauter cut off the route from the edge, where Crystals was standing, to the rest of the rock.
Crystals fell onto the ground, "I'm sorry," she cried as tears ran down her face and onto the rock. Kauter was filled with anger, more than he had ever been filled with. Kauter unsheathed his sword and pulled his arm up. As he brought his sword down he stopped inches away from her neck.
He fell down and hugged her around the neck, "No I'm sorry my.." Kauter stopped mid sentence and tears filled his open eyes. His blank stare went out past the ocean. He looked down and Crystals who was also crying, "I didn't know all this time, I'm so stupid."
Crystals looked up at him, "What do you mean," she asked.
Kauter noticed the wind began to swirl around him, "Don't worry I know your not real but I will find you again." Kauter took one last look at Crystals and closed his eyes tightly, "I'm sorry," when he opened them she was gone.
Kauter felt the feathers on his head start to twitch when he reached up and placed the talons on the feathers they all began to fall off into his talons. He face has revealed naked but it began to turn black like his feathers were. Kauter looked down at his arms as they began to shake and twitch uncontrollably. He watched in horror as his talons cracked spasticity and retreated into his arm. While the same thing was happening on his other arm. His arms began to become fatter and rounder as they changed from the yellowish gold to gray while the lines on his arms began to fade. He looked at his wings as they were pulled into his body just like his talons. Kauter's anger rose again as his wings were taken from him. As the sky got darker Kauter's eyes began to glow, as the purple in his eyes began to stand out from the other colors. He looked down at his beak he saw it turn black as well as his face. It grew outwards into a snout. He shook his head once again hoping it would disappear. Then his eyes went wide, "No I'm becoming a pony, I can't please let me wake up from this nightmare. His lion tail had changed black and into a horse's tail. He looked down and his arms that are now forearms, they were covered in his armor still but it was silver and not his golden preference. He brought his hoof up to his head and accidently came into contact with a horn on his head. He face went straight, "Great I'm a unicorn." The wind from before became stronger and faster. Kauter started to lose hi balance when the wind picked him up. He screamed loudly as a tornado picked up a dark cloud that now was the tornado which shot out purple lightning. He opened and knew the feeling of what he was experiencing, "Yes I'm going to wake up now," he shouted
As his eyes opened he woke up but not as he expected. When he opened them he was in a small room with upturned tables and machines on the ground. Zebra bodies were scattered throughout the room as well as broken vases. Kauter looked down at his arms and felt relieved when he was a griffon again. He walked to a door that was directly in front of him.
But just as he was about to turn the nob he heard voices down the hall speaking in a different and one saying, "What in the hay was that noise." Kauter pulled the door open towards him a crack a ran behind one of the overturned tables. A few seconds later he heard ponies rush into the room and stop. Kauter held a piece of glass off to the side of the table, giving him enough of a view to see the zebra's jaws dropped and eyes wide. He heard the English speaking zebra coming from out in the hall. It was Kauter's turn for his jaw to drop, coming in the door was the Doctor. A zebra started talking to the Doctor.
The Doctor turned his head and looked at the zebra, "What do you mean the door was open when you got here, did Kauter escape. The zebra replied with a nod. They all ran out of the room leaving Kauter alone. Kauter stood up and started going through different cabinets, "I can't pull my sword to me, it might kill somepony or draw attention back to me," he thought to himself. From behind him, he heard a voice saying something, when he turned around there was a zebra staring at him up against the wall with wide eyes. Kauter quickly threw the piece of glass that he was holding at the zebra. The piece of glass penetrated the wall right above the zebra cutting the top hair of its head. The zebra said something again right before it passed out. As the zebra hit the floor the hair from on top of the piece of glass started to fall onto it.
Kauter paced around the room wondering about what he should do. Kauter walked over to the overturned table a picked up a machine that was laying sideways on the ground. He moved it to the side and pulled the table back up. Once it was, Kauter placed the machine on the table. He started wondering around the room again collecting parts and other small machines. While tinkering Kauter could only imagine why the Doctor was with the zebras, the ponies who were experimenting on him. Kauter slid the table with the machines over to the door and started working . He got two small metal rods and pierced them through the wall and to the other side above the door. He connected them to a wire that led to a machine. Then he connected another wire to the machine that led to another machine that held a stick and a metal arrowhead. Kauter found some duct tape and taped up the zebras that were unconscious. When Kauter heard a voice from out in the hall he jumped behind the second machine.
"Kauter I know that you are in there and I know what you have, just let me explain myself, the Doctor said from the other side of the door.
Kauter shouted back, "You know what I have set up, so you will want to tell me before you try to come in.
The Doctor talked calmly to Kauter, "Kauter I cannot tell you but I need you to trust me."
Kauter walked over to the door, "How do you expect me to trust you after you did this."
The Doctor leaned his head against the door, "Kauter one word and I need you to trust me."
Kauter breathed out a small laugh, "Ok try me." The Doctor spoke softly enough for only Kauter to hear. As soon as the word left his mouth Kauter reached his talon over to the table and pushed the machine off the table. Kauter slowly opened the door and walked down with tears forming in his eyes. He was welcomed by a hall full of the ponies he had become acquainted with in the last few days. Kauter looked at the Doctor with a more serious face, "You were in trouble, but you weren't."
The Doctor set a hoof on his shoulders, "We had the zebras make us a potion that would let you enter a world made from your own life and something went wrong, but we weren't here to see what happened."
Kauter turned to the Doctor than to Derpy, "Ok then fearless leaders where are we going next." Before anypony could answer a thought came to hiss mind, "Where are my guards, and the other soldiers,"
The Doctor frowned, "Like we told you the zebras made a potion, the last time you were awake was when we saved you from the fall in Saddle Arabia.
Kauter's eyes went pin sized, "I never told you the story, we never got ambushed?!"
The Doctor looked up, "Well actually we were able to see into your would while you were telling the story but the zebras insisted that we got you into a strap chair, we didn't see anything after that.
Kauter thought for a second, "Wait you didn't see when we got ambushed by...," Kauter stopped himself. Kauter started walking towards the familiar blue box, "Never mind let's get going." After a while of waiting and talking Kauter found himself sitting alone in the tardis.
Kauter looked towards the door when in opened and a gray filly ran in. "Mr. Kauter, how are you feeling," Dinky asked as she jumped up onto a chair next to him.
Kauter looked down at her, "Hey kid I'm not sure I'm feeling good enough to talk maybe later ok?" Dinky looked down at the white chair with a frown, she hopped down and started and walking towards the door. As soon as she reached the door Kauter hit his head with his talons, "Fine you can come talk with me." In a blink of an eye, Dinky was back sitting in the same chair next to Kauter.
Kauter smiled down at Dinky, "Is the reason you wanted to talk to me because your dad is busy?"
Dinky frowned, "And everypony else."
Kauter reached a talon around Dinky and onto her shoulder, "I know what your feeling and I know how to solve it." Kauter walked over to the main counsel in the middle of the room and began working with some of the nobs.
Dinky stood up on the chair, "Daddy doesn't like it when other ponies touch the control panel that don't know how to use it."
Kauter kept talking while working, "Don't worry I know how to use it and I'm just trying to find something.. well make something." Dinky sat back down and turned her head crookedly in confusion. Kauter pulled a monitor over to himself and began turning through the different screens, "Ah here we come on Dinky." Dinky stood up and jumped onto the ground with a soft thud. Kauter led her through different hallways until they came to a room full of games and machines the were emitting light and different noises.
After about ten minutes of playing Kauter took Dinky back to the control room with ponies just starting to fill the room. Dinky looked up at Kauter just before she hugged his front legs, "Thank you Mr. Kauter."
Kauter entered the room with Dinky, "So Doctor where are we going now?"
The Doctor smiled, "We are going to the Temple of Talon to hopefully recruit an evil creature against Celestia.
Kauter looked at his confused, "What villain are you talking about and you think they will help us." The Doctor pushed a button on the console that made a picture of Ahuizotl appear on a screen. Kauters's eyes went pin prick sized when he saw the familiar image of a monster.
Kauter let out a nervous sarcastic laugh, "This is a great idea, in fact, the best idea you have had."
The Doctor looked at his confused, "What was that sarcastic comment for?"
Kauter walked up to him with a confident grin, "We do not want him on our side, he might help us at first but once the battle's won and we are few in numbers he will stab us in the back."
Derpy stood next to Kauter, "No no the Doctor is the most convincing pony on our planet."
Kauter looked at Derpy then to the Doctor, "That may be so but he won't need to be convinced so it's useless."
The Doctor pressed a button and the TARDIS began to shake, "Ok how about we go ask him if he is available and if he is we can consider him as an ally."
Kauter put his talons behind his head, "I don't know if we should even let him know that we are fighting."
The TARDIS suddenly came to a stop in its shaking. The Doctor started walking towards the door while motioning a hoof for them to follow. Kauter turned his head as he saw many ponies pass him, "Doctor I am telling you now, do not involve yourself with him," he almost shouted.
The Doctor turned around with an almost angry face, "Kauter you can stay in here but to win this war we need as many allies as possible, come on Derpy."
Kauter looked at the ground with sorrow and anger and then he realized something, "Derpy wait, you are leading this war not the Doctor." "You can't let him decide what you should do, what do you want to do?"
Derpy was suddenly faced with a very hard decision, "Um I have never been good at choosing between things and you're putting me in that position so I think I should stay with the choice I already made, but if you could I don't want Dinky coming with us."
An instant voice of disagreement came from Dinky, "Mom!" Derpy held up a hoof and shook her head with closed eyes. Dinky looked down and frowned, "Ok mom." Dinky slowly walked over to Kauter and stood at his side while looking down. As soon as the door shut Kauter ran to the other side of the control panel and looked at the screen. He pulled a keyboard over to him and started typing. Dinky walked up to him, "What are you doing."
Kauter looked down for a split second as he continued to type, "I'm doing my research, I don't trust this place and I don't trust Ahuizotl." "Also don't try to convince me that your dad is right because he wants to put the lives of his friends in danger every time he leaves the TARDIS." Kauter stopped completely as he realized what he just said. He bent down and sat next to Dinky who was hit by that sentence like a fast moving cart. Kauter put a talon on Dinky's shoulder, "Look Dinky I'm sorry I said those things about your dad, I just get worried for him."
Dinky looked up at him with a sniffle, "Why are you worried about him you just met him?"
Kauter laughed as he wiped a tear of laughter from one of his eyes, "Oh Dinky I have known him for longer than even he has known, even before you or Amethyst was born."
Derpy sat at the back at the group catching up with Tick Tock while the Doctor led the way through the damp dark green forest, "So how was your mission in Saddle Arabia?"
Tick Tock combed his hair back with his magic while he chuckled, "Don't even get me started, Ok this is what happened."
As Tick tock was about to talk about his mission the Doctor interrupted him by saying, "We are here." The Doctor was the first one to step into the clearing of a large open area completely covered by sand. Of course, the one thing that stood out from the sand was a massive pyramid that was slowly being buried by the sand build up. The sand came to an end at the forest's end. As the Doctor tilted his head back and forth.
Derpy got confused and asked, "What are you doing."
The Doctor kept doing what he was doing as he tilted his eyes to look at Derpy while still trying to look at the pyramid, "The pyramid and sand are surrounded by the forest and yet the forest doesn't grow any further and the sand doesn't go into the forest." The Doctor turned around and looked at Derpy, "It's nothing I'm probably just overanalyzing this place." Derpy gave the Doctor a small kiss on the cheek as he turned around and walked onto the sand. Acheron smiled and almost laughed as Amethyst looked away from the kiss down at the ground.
Tick Tock frowned a tiny bit then cheered up, Acheron quickly found herself walking beside Tick Tock. "You like the mare don't you."
Carrot Top wrapped a hoof around Acheron's neck, "That is none of your business."
Tick Tock stopped Carrot Top, "No it's fine, and yes I do admire her from afar."
Acheron nudged him in the side, "Well you should tell her because if you don't she could leave and never come back, then she would never know that you liked her."
Tick Tock blushed, "I couldn't do that I mean she is already married and then traveling with her would make it super awkward."
Acheron chuckled, "Ok suit yourself." Soon after that comment, Acheron was hit on the back of her head by Carrot Top's hoof. The Doctor looked up at the sun which soon covered by him placing his hoof in the air trying to block out the sunlight. Derpy motioned his hoof away and spread out her wings creating shade for the Doctor's eyes. The Doctor smiled and Derpy sending the message of thanks. The golden sand shifted underneath their hooves as they slowly approached the massive gold brick pyramid.
Acheron stared up at the building in awe, "This place is huge how did ponies build this."
Amethyst spoke up saying, "Actually I was learning about this and it says that before luna and Celestia ruled Ahuizotl forced ponies to build this and as soon as it was done he disappeared for ten years, nopony knows why he left."
Carrot Top who was walking next to Acheron asked, "At what point did Luna and Celestia imprison you."
Acheron thought for a second until she made a weird face, "I don't know when they trapped me actually." The Doctor stopped at the base of the pyramid as he stroked the entry.
The Doctor turned around with a soft smile, "Are you ready,"
"Are you alright Dinky," Kauter said softly. Dinky looked up at him and nodded as a smile returned to her face. Kauter got back up and smiled, "Oh I just have to press one button and we will get our results."
Dinky looked up at him with a confused face, "Results for what."
"Get up onto my back and we can figure out together," Kauter said as he bent down for Dinky. As soon as she was on Kauter slowly raised himself back up. He reached over the keyboard and pressed "Enter." The screen flashed white as words and pictures began to fill it, "So let's see what is here. Before Ahuizotl left he placed a curse on the temple that turned any pony who dared to enter to stone after a short while." "The curse would not let them leave the temple and even worse it made sure that if they were gazed upon they would never move." Kauter lets a small chuckle, "Wow this is starting to sound really familiar to.." Kauter's looked down as Dinky hopped off, "Oh no what have they gotten themselves into."
Derpy stared in awe as they all entered the massive temple, "Wow Doctor this place is like the Tardis its bigger on the inside." The Doctor chuckled as he pulled an unlit torch out of a holder on the wall.
The torch suddenly burst into flames, "There you go dad," Amethyst said from next to Acheron. Derpy smiled warmly back at Amethyst. The walls of the golden temple were dimly lit and the high ceilings were completely black.
Derpy tilted her head and looked ahead into the darkness, "Does it feel like the walls and ceilings are closer together?" Tick Tock squinted into the darkness, "Yeah it kind of does."
The Doctor chimed in, "it must be some kind of mirage from the heat."
Acheron cleared her throat centering the attention on herself, "Umm, there is a problem."
Derpy looked back in confusion, "What is it?"
"It's not....hot."
The Doctor swung his head around in a split second, "We've only been walking for at least 20 minutes and I completely missed something already."
Derpy stopped him with her wing, "What is it now."
"Ahuizotl disappearing, the mirage, the walls seeming smaller, and I didn't see through it." The Doctor turned and whispered in Derpy's ear and continued to walk through the group whispering in their ears. The Doctors original smile had now turned into a nervous grin. "Ok, now!" In a split second The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver having it face forward, Acheron made a large and thick ice bubble around the group, Amethyst, and Tick tock lit up the bubble, Derpy grabbed small welding goggles out of her bag that the Doctor had packed in and put them on allowing her to see through the near blinding light. Derpy quickly placed the goggles over every-ponies eyes.
Carrot Top had missed the message and was now laying on the ground covering her eyes. Derpy helped Carrot Top up and placed the goggles over her eyes.
The Doctor talked semi-loud still facing the same direction, "Acheron I need you to open a doorway sized hole for me in the ice." Acheron did as she was told which was quickly followed by The Doctor thanking her and asking every-pony, "Are you ready to meet our hosts?" With a flick of the sonic screwdriver, the mirage cleared leaving a crystal clear view of an army state ponies surrounding the bubble. "Oh look at you beautiful things, I guessing your not the regular weeping angels I use to know. In fact, you are ponies and you are chained to this location but I still sense that you still do what you do."
"How did you let them get in here, you know we have too much at stake." A massive paw slammed down onto the ground in front of the bubble. "I don't have time for you to be here right now." Suddenly there was a loud crack from the bubble.
"Doctor," Derpy shouted, "What are we going to do?"
The Doctor quickly scanned his surrounding and went into a slowed state of mind, "Oh what have I gotten myself into, and how are we going to get out of it. Ok let's cross off our surroundings, all magic is going into creating light to stop the angels, Carrot Top is just along for the ride I don't know that she can do anything. Derpy wouldn't be able to hold the weight of Ahuizotl and I don't know if her armor gives her extra strength or if it just heals her and makes fire. Oh, good thought make a note of that.
I could try and talk our way out of this that usually works.
What about Derpy's bag we could hide in there but who says they won't throw it in lava or do something else to destroy it. Make a second note, ok what about our first note.
Yes, ok, Derpy could fly up lighting up the room allowing us to focus magic on other things. So how many part plans do we have so far. Three, lets check the flaws.
Derpy can only fly so long and after we have magic what would we do with it, we could teleport away, we could make another wall, we could freeze time...scratch that, we could make more light, a lot but not enough.
The second way I could try to talk but from his tone of voice, he doesn't want to listen. There is only a 29.89% chance that he'll listen and we'll probably have been killed or placed somewhere else in time by the time I finish talking to him, oh make a note.
Last we could put everyone in the bag, he could trap us in there and we wouldn't be able to teleport out, he could also destroy the bag taking us with it.
The greatest chance of succeeding is plan number one. Wait the angels move faster than light and so the second the light goes out we'll be sitting ducks. I can create some extra light with my sonic but they'll probably shut that down too.
We have little to no chance for escape. Lets just put on a confident smile and pretend like I have a good idea."
The Doctor came back to real time, "Derpy you are going to have to fly up and make as much fire as you can so that we can free up the magic to teleport us out of here! Unicorns you heard me get ready to teleport us out of here. Acheron keep the bubble up as long as you can!Everypony get as close together as we can get, as soon as the light goes out they'll try and kill us so be quick. Ready, Set, Go!"
Acheron opened up a small hole allowing Derpy to fly out before Ahuizotol could slam it again. Derpy's armor immediately burst into flames as she flew in circles around Ahuizotl's head dodging and weaving to avoid being hit down or caught by his hand and paws.
Acheron shouted loudly noticing the cracks forming in the bubble, "Doctor, they're breaking in do you want me to save up energy or hold up the bubble."
The Doctor looked back at her, "Both? Move closer together and we'll see then."
They all moved closer together standing in a pony circle in the middle of the bubble....When a sound of chimes and wooshing filled the air.
The Doctor frowned, "No Kauter please no. No!," he shouted as the TARDIS materialized around them."
Kauter stood at the control panel and said mocking the Doctor, "We need as many allies as possible."
The Doctor turned around with tears and anger in his eyes. Kauter walked out from behind the console.
The Doctor charged Kauter, "Derpy is still out there and you just got her killed."
The Doctor went to punch Kauter which was quickly countered by Kauter dodging and pinning the Doctor up against one of the pillars in the TARDIS, "No Doctor, you got her killed. I told you not to go in there!
Kauter let The Doctor fall to the ground as he took his talons away, "I'm going to try my best to save her and fix your mistakes. Anyone who wants to try and do that is welcome to follow me, otherwise stay here."
Acheron shifted her eyes from the fallen Doctor to Kauter, "Ok let's go."
Amethyst nodded which was followed by Carrot Top and Tick Tock. The group of ponies quickly made their way to the door when there was a loud roar, "If you want to keep this Pegasus's wings on her pathetic little body I demand that you come out and face me!"
The group of ponies continued out of the TARDIS and stood at the base of the huge creature holding Derpy up by her wings.
Amethyst quickly charged Ahuizotl as she shouted, "Let go of my mom!"
She was quickly was hit back to the group by one of his massive paws, "Idiotic pony do you know who I am! I am the great and powerful, thee one and only Ahuizotl and I will not fall to you stupid ponies." Ahuizotl spotted the one griffon in the group, "Ah King Kauter how do I stand in your presence?"
Kauter looked at Ahuizotl sourly as he flew up and hovered, "Cut your games, you don't know what power you are playing with."
"Oh what the stone ponies, I do in fact know their potential power."
"Exactly, why do you think that their allegiance is with you."
"I created them."
"After all this time and with how much power they have you think that they would just stay by your side. Why do they follow you."
"Why don't you tell me, your highness."
"Because we are on the edge of another sun war. They realize this and this that the only way they can survive is through you and your temple."
Ahuizotl looked astonished, "A Sun war but how so soon I-I just barely escaped the last one with my life.
"Well Derpy here, the pegasus you're holding, awoke Acheron. This brought to light new evidence of Celestia's true form. In fact, she was the one who attacked her in her castle and is now wanted."
"It seems to be that way, should we try and wake her up?"
"She isn't sleeping just FYI, she's coming to and listening to us. She's probably searching for her sword so that she can surprise us and ask some questions."
Derpy leaped to her feet and reached for her sword as she pulled it in front of her. She realized that she had grabbed a snake instead. She gasped and dropped it, as it hit the ground it returned to the metal sword that she knew.
"You see I can be very useful at times even if it seems a little bit..... chaotic."
Derpy finally got a chance to look around, she was in a massive stone colleseum and was surrounded on all sides by a multitude of species: Dragons, Manticores, Griffons, Hydras, and then she turned to face a massive throne area which was seated by one or two of each species.
"Well then Ditzy Doo, Derpy Hooves, we formally welcome you to Ordo ad Chao. I'm sure you have plenty of questions and I assure you they will be answered but first I will say that what you have been doing is stupid. The only reason that you aren't dead is that of our ruling. We have been watching your every move since you entered the tombs of Acheron. You have shown great power, great strength, and even greater stupidity."
"Now you hold on a minute and tell me where my family is, where my friends are, and where the exit is."
"Your friends, your family are in the crowd, one of them being up here. Kauter king of the griffons. Your family and friends can leave whenever they want but it would not be beneficial for your life."
Derpy heard a yell from the crowd, "Mom!"
Derpy turned and faced where the sound had come from and there was her family sitting along their friends. Derpy smiled and looked forward as she frowned. "So tell me what I need to know."
There came a laugh and a feeling of what seemed like waking up from a dream. "Well you passed my test but for our safety, we couldn't let you see our true forms. You might feel like you're seeing things for the first time and it is just that."
Derpy looked around again, nothing had changed but when she looked back towards the throne she saw something different.
"I am Discord, Spirit of Chaos, I rule over Ordo ad Chao. We are a united group of many species in a fight that has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years, The Sun War."
Derpy frowned, "I still don't know anything about how it works."
"It is still a mystery to most. We are not here to talk about the past, we are here to talk about the future. I'm sure your husband has told you all about the multiverse theory, am I correct?"
"Well, he has certainly tried on multiple occasions."
"Hmm, let me simplify it for you. Let's say that you are drinking some hot cholate and you burn your tung. In a parallel world, a world almost exactly like our own, their Derpy waited a couple more minutes and didn't but her tung at all. Another world Derpy doesn't have and hot cholate and there are infinite amounts of these phenomenon. When Princess Luna became nightmare moon it created a sort of check point in a video game. If you die you restart there. Celestia has harnassed that moment in time creating a check point so that she can restart from that day forward. She has seen thousands of multiverse occur because she found it reasonable to go back."
"If she has the power to do that how come we are here right now, wouldn't she know about this place. Also, how do we know this, if she resets our lives over and over again we wouldn't be able to tell right?"
Discord smiled, "We don't know how it is possible but Kauter here has lived through all the Sun Wars. I can sense that you will ask why Celestia hasn't reset the timeline even after you attacked her and released Acheron. Well we have two very good guesses: one being that this life that she has right now is perfect for her in every way, number two being that she can't cast the spell to reverse time with the elements of harmony being bound to Twilight Sparkle and her friends."
"You said that this timeline is perfect for her, what do you mean?"
"A prophecy was made by Star Swirls the Bearded that Celestia would be defeated by the holders of the elements of Harmony. In this timeline, the elements of harmony are controlled by her pupil and her friends. Thus leaving them not a threat to her anymore. The elements don't listen to her solely anymore, they have new hosts. If Celestia uses them to try and cast that spell again the tree would most likely realize that it is being attacked and shut down its power until it is restored by the souls of the elements of harmony. Magic, Honesty, Laughter, Loyalty, Kindness. and Generosity."
"Are you planning on stopping her?"
Kauter got off of his seat and walked forward, "As of now no, we are waiting for the right moment. When we are strongest and when she is weakest. I have been, no, we have been planning this for thousands of years. While Celestia was taking advantage of the multiverse so were we. We know who we need, how we are going to attack her, we have been planning for everything to go wrong, everything to go right and we can tell when the perfect time is."
"So what are we waiting for?"
Discord frowned, "This is the first ever Sun War in which Celestia has allowed the elements of harmony to be fully harnessed to another. In other timelines, she has controlled at least one of them at all times. We don't know how she would react if we attacked them, also we need to know every possibility before we attack or else she could counter us. She might also be able to get a hold of the elements of harmony and reset the timeline, from there she will see us out and shut down Ordo ad Chao before Kauter finds us and restores our memories."
"So you're saying that Kauter has been getting you all together every time Celestia resets the timeline."
Kauter gave a confused look, "Well yes, why does it matter?"
"It's just that it has been so long, how have you kept the faith that you can actually defeat her through all these years?"
Kauter frowned, "I don't have to know or have faith that we can someday defeat her because all that matters at the end of the day, the end of the year, the end of a decade is that we, Ordo ad Chao, are one step closer to defeating her."
Derpy sat down shaking at the look Kauter gave her. His purple feather outlines seemed to be moving, his red eyes were puncturing her soul as they grew ever brighter. The green in his eyes had been white now but it didn't help that the contrast of his black feathers made them stand out so well. She could have sworn that she saw two razor sharp teeth underneath that bronze beak plating.
Discord put on a straight face, "Well it appears that she is following the same path as the old her."
Derpy looked up, still shaking, "What did you just say."
"As painful as it is to say you did the same pair of acts in the last timeline. There were no elements of harmony back then obviously. Everything happened to this point and further. Let's just say that you gain an ability to see things that are hidden, it must have explained how you passed the test so quickly." Discord looked towards Kauter then back at Derpy, "Go ahead.......grab her."
The Doctor leaped over the stone railing only to be grabbed by a massive paw. He was held up by Ahuizotl. Everypony else was already running towards Derpy. Amethyst switched sights between Acheron who was on her right and Tic Toc who was on her left. Amethyst saw a green flash of light and when she looked back at Acheron she was grabbed by Queen Chrysalis who took off flying with her. Tic Toc watched as Amethyst was carried off. Carrot Top, Amethyst, and Tic Toc were running side by side and were almost to Derpy when in almost slow motion Kauter slid in front of them leaving three small black balls in their path. Kauter grabbed Derpy and threw her back towards the thrones while Discord teleported Kauter to catch Derpy. Derpy looked back at her friends who were now submerged in black smoke.
Kauter reached behind his head and spun his katana out of its sheath placing it in front of Derpy's throat. Kauter stared waiting for the smoke to clear. In a split second, a carrot came shooting out of the smoke, nailing Kauter dead center of his head knocking him out. Derpy grabbed the blade in her teeth and shook her head sideways causing the handle to be placed in her mouth. She pushed Kauter off and flew at Discord. Meanwhile Tic Toc and Amethyst came driving out of the smoke on a steam engine cart. While Carrot Top stood on another cart being towed while shooting carrots towards the Ahuizotl.
With a snap of two talons, all movement stopped. Discord teleported over to the cart pulling all three ponies out of it and teleporting back over to the thrones. He snapped and they were tied up, he snapped again and any shot carrots were set on a small snack cart. He snapped one last time and movement continued. The cart, being un manned, kept driving till it hit a wall.
Carrot Top yelled out, "Hello, where is everypony." She waited in silence hoping that she would hear something. She stomped a hoof and started galloping through trees and bushes. After a few minutes of running, she heard a sound and stopped. She got down a slid under a bush still breathing hard, and she listened for it again.
"Are you sure you saw her land over here, we can't tell the chief that we lost her." Carrot Top could see two buffalo standing, scanning the area for any sight of their prize. Carrot Top's ear twitched as she heard a quiet rustling behind her, when she looked back, she could see Derpy's golden eyes peering out at her through the bushes. Suddenly the bush moved and out came a small Buffalo holding a short spear.
Carrot Top got up to run but was held down by the two Buffalo," Nice distraction little one, your father is going to be very pleased.
Carrot Top struggled underneath their weight, "Let me go, I need to find my friend!"
The small Buffalo smiled, "You mean the gray one right, derpy lookin eyes. Yeah, we got her too." The two Buffalo pulled her up and slipped a rope around her neck. They also placed a cloth over her eyes making her unaware of where she was being led. After an unknown amount of time, she began hearing voices and the crackling of a fire in the distance. As the sound got louder Carrot Top got more and more worried. Carrot Top was about to take a step when the rope went taught for a split second causing Carrot Top to back up quickly. The voices were now surrounding her speaking a different language. Suddenly she was blinded by both the dark and the light.
Carrot Top squinted and rubbed her eyes trying to make sense of what was going on. In front of her was a massive fire and from the inside of it came a voice yelling in that same language, that was until it talked to Carrot Top and the Buffalo guarding her, "Bring her to my resting place."Carrot Top looked across the fire now to a buffalo a bit larger than both of her guards. One of the Buffalo nudged her in the direction of the giant buffalo.
The buffalo that was leading suddenly stopped, turned around and gestured inside of the teepee.When the two guards left, Carrot Top looked back in confusion. Keeping a confused face, she entered the tent. Carrot Top gasped at what she saw. Inside was Derpy's head on a wooden plaque sitting on display on the far side of the table. Carrot Top sad down hard as she stared.
Suddenly the expressions on Derpy's face changed from her blank stare into a wide smile as she got up and unhooked a latch at the base of the plaque opening it in two pieces. Carrot Top's look of sadness suddenly turned into an expression of pure rage, ''How dare you scare me like that!"
Derpy waved a hoof as she laughed, "Carrot Top please, I didn't even know you were here yet."
Carrot Top returned to a state of confusion, "You knew I was coming."
Derpy gestured to the buffalo who was now standing half way in the teepee due to Carrot Top sitting in the way, "Well I told the chief here that I had lost my friends and that they must be near by. I described everypony and I guess they only found you."
Carrot Top quickly moved out of the way and made her way to Derpy's side of the table, "If you knew that I was friendly how come those other two Buffalo more accurately captured me then kindly bringing me back."
The Chief rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry about that when my son over heard that I was sending two of my soldiers to go look for some ponies I think he assumed that we were capturing them. My soldiers must have played a long with it."
"Why do you call those two buffalo your soldiers?"
"Well most of our kin are soldiers, there are great threats in this world, and unfortunately many seek our land to start their campaign."
"Don't you all have names."
"Yes, but every name is sacred and saying them in front of others who are not in our tribe....well we don't do it. I know ponies enjoy being able to call each other by name so you may call me Chief.''
"Well, thank you Chief for bringing me back to Derpy," Carrot Top then switched to Derpy, ''So has nopony else been found, also how did we get all the way over here from the land of the zebra's to all the way down near Appaloosa?"
Chief's face suddenly went stern, "You say that you traveled a great distance without remembering the events, you also say some of your friends are missing. I know a circumstance of which something like this would occur."
Derpy looked at Carrot Top and then to Chief, "What happened."
"That's the problem; It is an organization called Ordo and Chao. If you are here and your friends are not," Chief went silent and continued his thought, "It doesn't make sense. You couldn't have escaped; they would let you. They must have let you escape, but for what reason?" Chief turned back to Derpy and Carrot Top, "Did either of you have a crystal or gem of some sort with you?"
Carrot Top shook her head and looked at Derpy. Derpy reached into her bag and pulled out a snout sized crystal. All eight sides were smooth as glass, even its top and bottom looked perfectly cut. It seemed like a stain glass window that you might see in a cathedral, it's black tint furthered the look.
Chief smiled as he took it from her hooves, "Finally we have one," Chief looked from the crystal over to Derpy, "You don't know much we've needed this. For this, I guess I won't have to kill you after all."
Derpy reached for her sword, but before she could reach it, it was shot away by a bolt of green magic. Derpy turned back to see Chief smiling as green specks of glowing dust surrounded his body.
Carrot Top turned to Derpy as she got up, "We need to get out of here!
Derpy made the second reach for her sword which was successful which she then threw at the wall of the tent. Derpy then turned back to grab her bag, that was when she saw the changeling queen. Derpy turned and ran out the of the tent behind Carrot Top. Carrot Top was a few meters in front of Derpy as she grabbed her sword. Derpy took to the sky as Carrot Top kept running. Derpy looked back toward the teepee in time to see it burst into a green flame, "Carrot Top, keep moving!" Derpy stopped and flew straight down, at the last second she curved sideways in a large half circle. Derpy held her sword out as it lit up in flames causing the grass to take fire. Derpy then landed softly, taking a defensive stance as she waited in anticipation for something to come flying out of the green fire.
Derpy waited for a couple of seconds before breaking her stance. Derpy looked behind and to the sides waiting for an attack, but nothing came. Derpy looked to the sky, but nothing. Derpy started thinking for a second before she sat down.
Carrot Top, from the other side of the fire, shouted, "Where are they?"
A sudden realization came to Derpy causing her to fly into the air. She climbed as fast as she could and then dropped her physics defying bag. She quickly made an arc upsidedown pointing her straight at the ground. Her armor then burst to life as she cannoned toward the ground, she then copied her previous moved and created a ring of fire around the bag. Derpy kept going faster and faster creating a tornado of fire. Carrot Top watched in amazing as the tornado held it's shaped.
Suddenly a bolt of green magic came from within the fire hurtling Derpy towards the forest they were running towards earlier. Carrot Top looked back at the fire to see multiple black creatures crawling out of the fire. Behind them came a much larger on carrying Derpy's bag in its mouth. Carrot Top backed up as she shook in fear, "You're the changelings, I've heard stories of you. What do you want from us?"
The large changeling smiled, "I am queen chrysalis, queen of the changelings, a former member of Ordo ad Chao. I needed this," She held up the crystal that Derpy pulled out earlier, "I need you two for my plan to be fufiled."
"What is that."
"I learned my lesson the last time I gave away my plan pre-action."
Carrot Top looked in the direction that Derpy was thrown, "So what does that mean for us?"
Derpy groaned as she babbled, "Wah, what happened?"Derpy opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. She was lying near a small river that had been frozen over. The grass that she was laying on was wet and frost covered. The trees were few, scattered, black and burnt. The air had a dense fog over it, turning the air a solid gray. Derpy shivered as she sat up. She turned around as her tail flicked something cold. Sitting beside her, disassembled, in 6 pieces was her sword.
The pommel looked ready to serve and to secure the grip; it glowed a light purple in anticipation.
The grip had been turned to stone; it had multiple scratches and holes making it seem like it wasn't complete.
The crossguard was glowing a mysterious deep blue and had numerous dents on the metal.
The scabbard was well worn and had seen many years of action; it emitted a black mist that mixed into the already gray fog making it appear to be the source.
The rain guard was steady and had an experienced brown tone that made it clear of its significant importance. Lastly, The edge, the blade, and point of the sword were glowing a magnificent silver. It had a golden glow over it and was reverently preparing for battle. This was the blades first time seeing war, but it seemed prepared.
Derpy didn't know why but a stream of tears had begun to flow from her eyes, "What does this mean?"
Derpy woke up to the sound of buzzing and the feeling of flying. She opened her eyes and saw her own reflection mirrored back at her in a green and slimy wall. Derpy looked up from her curled position to see five changelings carrying her, and the cocoon she was being held in, just above treetop level. She looked over her shoulder to see Carrot Top in the same position, unconscious.
Suddenly the changelings made a quick and curved vertical descent. Within a minute they were all on the ground within the dark forest. Derpy tried to make out the small black movements that were occurring outside the cocoon but was unsuccessful. Soon enough the cacoon was opened.
Derpy fell out and looked up to the five changelings standing in a row, all holding spears and saluting. Derpy got up shakily, "What is this for?"
Chrysalis came out from behind the cacoon Derpy was in, "Well I need your help, but I didn't necessarily get to ask before."
"I guess I don't have much of choice now do I."
"No, not exactly."
"I need you to navigate for me."
"What do you mean?"
Chrysalis walked over to some bushes and motioned for Derpy to follow. Derpy, still suspicious, walked over and peered through a large bush.
On the other side was the old town that they had found when following that map. Derpy turned to Chrysalis, "Why did you bring me here."
Chrysalis smiled, "You are one of few ponies that have ever left Tartarus."
Derpy looked in concern, "What do you mean Tartarus?"
Chrysalis's smile widened, "You didn't know that you were in Tartarus?"
"We didn't die."
"No, but you did teleport. There aren't a lot of portals that go to the underworld. One day a portal opened here, this was the town that led to the city of Acheron. Once ponies had an easy access portal to Tartarus, they were quick to inhabit it. Acheron in mythology is known as the river that you cross when you die. The city was fittingly named, "Acheron: A city of the underworld."
"What happened to everything then, why was everypony dead there?"
"We don't have time to have a history lesson."
"So what do you expect me to do."
"First we will make our way to the portal and take down anything that stands in our way, once inside we will have to get past those...spiders. Then you will lead us to the citadel of Acheron; we can find what we need after that."
"And what if I decide not to help you."
"Well for starters we can kill both you and Carrot Top."
Derpy shot Chrysalis a hateful glance, "You can't kill any of the skeletons."
Chrysalis smiled and started gesturing at multiple changelings as she turned and started walking toward the town. Derpy watched in astonishment as the changelings took out the skeletons without raising any alarm to others. Their silence and quick movements made it look like this was a casual thing. Chrysalis casually strolled through the center of town despite some skeletons that were standing guard. Chrysalis smiled knowing that the skeletons were no match for her changelings. Chrysalis got to the entrance of the cave and started pulling out stone after stone until they shifted downward. Chrysalis frowned as water started appearing, "This complicates things, no matter." In seconds in changelings began moving all of the rocks out including the ones that were getting further and further under water. Soon the water began to drain making excavating the stones easier.
Once the patch was clear, Derpy slowly walked down the stairs as her armor lit up, illuminating her path. As Derpy stepped onto the cave ground, she realized that a small layer of water covered it. Derpy's steps sloshed as she continued forward not bothering to lift her hooves.
Derpy couldn't help but feel homesick at the sight of the cave, the stones and, the soggy webs. Derpy frowned as she saw many spider corpses floating on the layer of water. She focused on the building off in the distance as they continued on. Derpy looked in astonishment as she noticed that it had not taken in any water and that it was still in perfect condition.
Chryaslais smiled, "Thank you Derpy, now all I need is for you to open the first door."
Derpy looked back in confusment, "Why do I need to open it, there is only a rock holding it shut."
Chrysalis shook her head, "Ever since you picked up that armor the kingdom of Acheron has been tuned to you in a way. Only you can open the first door and only I can open the second door."
"Acheron opened the second door, what makes you think that you can open it."
Chrysalis smiled as she pulled a small amulet from underneath her wing, " I don't know how many are in existence but here is the third alicorn amulet that I know of. They are all connected and I can use it to open the door; do your part now."
Derpy frowned as she turned and pushed open the door. Small symbols of fire danced over the doors as they opened. Chrysalis smiled as she stepped into the room, finally, now I can.." She was cut off by a loud thud from the cave behind them, "Changelings, prepare yourself and protect me."
Multiple changelings rushed to Chrysalis's side as more flew back out into the cave. By the time things went silent, Derpy was already in the circle of changelings surrounding Chrysalis. They could hear every drop of water, every breath, every heartbeat. Suddenly there was a sloshing from out in the cave, this did not deter the changelings. Both Chrysalis and Derpy looked on in fear.
Suddenly a disembodied voice came from the darkness of the cave, "You may return to your forms now."
In the blink of an eye, the changelings jumped away from and turned toward chrysalis as green electricity enveloped them. Derpy unsheathed her sword as she went back to back with Chrysalis. Derpy looked where the changelings were and in their place stood the Order of Chaos.
Derpy was thrown against a wall as a sword was placed in front of her neck. A small patch of blood has gathered around the edge of her mouth as she breathed rapidly. Derpy looked up at Kauter with fire in her eyes as she shakily tried to speak, "You didn't have to kill her," Derpy slowly rose from the ground. "You could have locked her up," Derpy shouted as she swung her sword at Kauter. Kauter ducked and in a split second was pressing Derpy up against the wall as he grabbed the sword with his armored talons. "You do not understand war Derpy, this is a tactical win for us. I have lived through every sun war and it is time to end it. This is our last chance and no one can stand in our way!"
Derpy shoved him hard as she walked out of the main hall that she once so long ago flew into. Her sword still in Kauter's talons began to heat up. Almost in slow motion, it fell to the floor. Derpy turned at the sound of her sword hitting the stone, that was when she saw Kauter burst into flames.
"Kauter," Derpy shouted as she ran to aid the now burning griffon. Once again Derpy was caught off guard as she fell face forward onto the ground. She looked back to see a piece of chewed gum that had caught her hoof, she looked farther back to see Discord shaking his head as he blew a bubble. Derpy shook her head and once again returned to Kauter's aid but was stopped by a flash of white.
The smoke coming of his body is so black. His eyes have are always red and sometimes green. It's not a coincidince that his feathers behind his eyes are purple. What happened to those zebras? How has he lived so long? King...Kauter....King...
"Sombra!" Derpy came face to face with a long dead pony.
Derpy stood in shock Should I run, should I fight? Would he kill me either way?
"You have a lot of fears and doubts, we can't win a war unless you are using it correctly."
Derpy sat down, "What, you aren't going to kill me?"
Sombra gave a small chuckle, "We are at least on the same side until Celestia is dead. I have a feeling you have some questions but due to lack of time I will have to do the next best thing." Sombra's body expanded out as he formed a mass of pitch black clouds, "I'm sorry Derpy," he said as he surrounded her.
Derpy woke up in a damp dark room surrounded by the smell of blood. There was a constant whir of machinery with a random hiss of steam every so often. "Hello, is anyone there!" No response came from the machines. Derpy got up slowly and shakily as her eyes adjusted to the dark. Derpy slowly walked through a broken concrete corridor, stone on all sides. The cracks in the stone had leaks of what seemed to be clouds, Derpy knelt down to be positive. "I must be in the clouds but this can't be real concrete can it?" Derpy kept walking until she came to a tall and rusty metal door, the smell becoming stronger. The door looked like it was strong enough to withstand an explosion. Beside it was a large gold plated lever that had small illegible writing carved into it, the strange thing about it was the keyhole. Derpy pulled the lever down hard but found that it wouldn't budge, "Where am I supposed to find a key?" Derpy was about to turn again she felt something, a breeze.
Derpy slowly applied force to the door, it opened surprisingly easily and with almost no noise. Inside was dark as well but was not stone like before. The room has many tall and skinny boxes that made up the windows, most shattered or broken in. Derpy almost didn't notice the pony sitting at the desk on the side of the room adjacent from where she entered. Derpy reached for her sword but it was missing along with her armor. Derpy couched down as if to hide in the open room, "Hello," Derpy whispered. The pony sat still and quiet. Derpy slowly crawled behind the now noticeable buck as she kept quiet. Depy almost threw up as she saw a massive hole that had clearly gone through his body leaving him to die sitting at his desk. The pony almost seemed to be looking at something behind his desk. Derpy came to the other side of him as she looked at the drawer that was just a crack open. She pulled it out to find a piece of paper that had writing on it that seemed to be in fine cursive. She pulled it out and looked back to the front of the dest to see something rushing at her from out of the darkness, that or it was a lamp that was sitting on the desk. Either way Derpy had to take a quick breather. Once Derpy had calmed down, she fiddled around with the switch.
The lamp glowed an ugly shade of yellow that flickered on and off for a few seconds before it solidified. Derpy took the time to look over the buck, making sure to not take into much detail. Blue with, metal wings? How does a pony have metal wings?
"General, wake up."
Derpy sat up slowly, "Stop putting me to sleep."
Carrot Top helped Derpy to her hooves as she looked around. "We need to get moving."
"Hold on, when did you start calling me general."
"No time to talk, we must move," Carrot Top nudged Derpy closer to a wall.
"Carrot, stop, you're going to push me into that..." In an instant, Derpy became one with that wall and walked out the other side.
"We, need to keep moving general."
Derpy looked back at the wall they had just passed through, "Who are you?"
"I'm your daughter," said Dinky.
Derpy started to breathe rapidly, ''Stop, I need to get back."
Amethyst gave Derpy and apologetic look, "I'm sorry but we can't stay here, you can't trust them."
Derpy stood there for a minute watching as different ponies would take the position of whoever was talking. Derpy would blink and they would change: Acheron, The Doctor, Celestia, Luna, Twilight, Discord, Ration. When Derpy next opened her eyes, she stood looking at Sombra as he spoke, "You need to keep moving, I know you can't understand what is going on but you need to keep moving."
Derpy looked into his dark red eyes; they emitted trust and insurance. "Where should I go?" Sombra smiled as he nodded toward a nearby hallway, "Just run, I'll guide you."
Derpy took off running as she heard a loud yell, "Find her!"
Time seemed to slow and quicken as she ran; Corridors flew by while corners slowed to a crawl. Derpy kept moving through the ancient hall as statues and silhouettes danced in her vision. Derpy hit another corner in the slowed time, that was when she saw it. The most disgusting changeling, it was covered in slime and fungus. Derpy could look over each and every feature as she adjusted her course to move around it. She could see one of its five bulging and infested eyes turning to track what it just saw. Derpy waited in anticipation for time to speed up again as she turned forward but it never came.
She blinked and once again Sombra was there, "Derpy, I gave you this sight, now use it."
Derpy turned her head back to see that the changeling had registered what just happened and needed to get moving to catch its prey, Derpy smiled as time sped up again. She ran the golden corridor and turned the corner. Time slowed down as she reached for her sword. She pulled it out of its sheath, watching inch by inch as a flame engulfed the sword. Depry swung the sword back and waited for a certain thing to come into view. She watched as its eyes came into view and began the attack. She could see the fear in its eyes and the sword inched its way toward the changeling. Derpy stopped inches before metal met eye, allowing the flame to continue on into the changeling's face. Time sped up again as the changeling cried out smashing the wall adjacent to Derpy. She looked down the hall at Sombra who was smiling. She turned and continued to run.
She entered a large empty corridor filled with bones and popped balloons. She frowned as she continued to gallop, she spoke to the Sombra who must have been listening, "I remember being here...I can't even recall how long ago. How long have I been out here wandering Equestria in search of some answer to this call? Derpy felt time slow as she approached a tall arch. She could feel something was wrong, she could feel something evil. Derpy continued inch by inch toward the arch waiting for something to round it; That was when she got the feeling to burn. Derpy watched as her armor flamed up, each individual line slowly engulfing the metal. She turned again as she was about to enter the arch. Suddenly a wave of frozen air hit Derpy's lungs as she was swept off of her feet and into the air. Derpy flapped her wings wildly trying to find equilibrium in her current state. Derpy let time slow as she took in her surroundings: She was turning upside down as she was carried but what she now could see as the wendigos. Derpy looked at her armor and realized that the frozen air had extinguished the flame on her armor. She quickly lit the flame again as she let time speed up. Derpy was quickly dropped which sent her flying toward the water. Derpy spread her wings and glided above the water. Derpy suddenly felt a heavy snap in her back as something pushed her underwater. The flame died as Derpy came face to face with the eyes of four wendigos.
