The Strongest Dragon King
It was just a beautiful day for Equestria, such a wonderful and peaceful place throughout the cosmos. Though it wasn't a very nice day for me anyway. Why was it not a good day? Well, other than Equestria about to be invaded, I was about to eat my bucket of gems back at Twilight's castle. I was informed by Celestia, or Tia (as I like to call her), that she and Luna sensed another being coming fast into a deserted land near Appaloosa.
I, of course, asked if the Elements (Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie) could handle it. They shook their heads and told me that I had to take care of it. In case you're wondering, yes, I have the power to defeat enemies if the Elements of Harmony and Princesses couldn't take care of it. It was very tedious to ask Twilight if I could have the day off, not because Tia asked for me, but for me to waste my pass to visit Rarity.
So here I was, waiting for this being to crash down into this deserted place. I was sunbathing on a flat rock, absorbing heat from the sun while sucking on my last gem for this trip. On the positive side, I was getting really warm from Tia's sun, it was quite relaxing.
Suddenly, I hear a large explosion from the sky. My mini sunbathing vacation came to a halt as I crunched my last gem and got up. The giant thing cluster was huge and when it impacted the ground, sand turned into shards of crystalline glass. I couldn't help but shield my eyes as remnants of the glass was blown in every direction, struggling to keep my balance from the ground shaking beneath my feet. I stared through the cloud of dust, waiting patiently for this 'being' to come out so I could quickly return home and spend time with Rarity.
"Ah~" The being says, "I can sense all sorts of energy around me..." It rises from the ground to stand up. This creature is standing on his two feet, he has four arms, the second set of shoulders underneath his first set of armpits. I can sense that he is a bit weak, but had the power to crush this world and move on to the next.
I clear my throat and I get his attention. He turns around to reveal four eyes and sharp teeth that can rip through any kind of skin. "Huh?" He says and leans down to my eye level, "What are you supposed to be?"
I smirk, "First off, get some breath mints, second, I'm a King just for fun."
He stands there for a second and laughs like it is some sort of joke, "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of!!"
I cross my arms and tap my foot on the ground. "Seriously? Looks can be deceiving and you’re just the typical invasion type who wants nothing but destruction."
His laughing ceases and he stares at me while his skin is literally bubbling. 'I made him angry? Huh... Parenting issues I guess.' I think, as he screams, "Enough of this foolishness! I'm Edgar!! Destroyer of worlds!! I've destroyed over a thousand worlds with my strength alone and jumped from the clumps of the planets that I've destroyed!! And you think that you're going to destroy me?!" His body grows twice its size as his shadow covers the ground around me, "I'm going to destroy you, you so called KING!!!"
He throws all four punches and I can see how slow he became just from growth. Without even blinking, I jump onto his arm, sprint along it, towards his shoulders, and stop. Before he even gets a look at me, I throw a punch at him. It becomes mush, his entire head, skull and all, purple and green globs of flesh. His body tenses, as it senses it doesn’t have a head anymore, before going limp. As it falls to its knees, I take a deep breath and use my red dragon breath to incinerate the body. All the purple blood and green flesh turn's into ash.
I fall to the ground and land on the heated ashes, "All evidence is all gone." I glance around the huge circle, of which was once the crater, and shrug my shoulders, "I guess he was big enough that even his ashes cover the entire crater."
I glance up at the sun to see that it is mid-day. I sigh and use my speed to get back to Ponyville. I pass by the train tracks, to get into the Everfree forest, and when I am near Zecora's hut I start to walk normally again.
"Whew." I wipe my forehead, "Good, Zecora’s not home again. Let's keep it that way until tomorrow."
I walk, at my normal pace, towards Ponyville and I noticed that the animals of the Everfree are avoiding me. It is a normal thing for me because they know who is at the top of the food chain. Me. Once I get out of the forest, I hear the animals and their noises go back to normal. I quickly make my way towards Rarity's Carousel Boutique and I notice there is a note on the door.
Dear customer(s),
Due to some extreme measures, I have to attend business matters for the Boutique I have in Canterlot. I will return once it has been solved. I apologize for any inconvenience.

My eye twitches when I read the short note. This free pass is now wasted. Rarity is now at Canterlot and it's getting close to the end of the day. I clench my claw and take a deep breath before shouting, at the top of my lungs, "NOOOOOOOOooooo!"
I get out of my bed to look around. It was very early and I feel very groggy. I stretch my body until they give a satisfying pop. I lurch forward and I burp out a letter via my dragon fire. I open the scroll and read the contents.
Spike,
The Diamond Dogs have somehow revived their ancestor they call the Diamond King. They're locat-
BOOOMMM!
I leap out of my bed and walk to the window, to see hundreds of Diamond Dogs lining up to attack Twilight's Castle. 'Great... Even on my birthday, I still have to save Equestria.' I think. I open the window and leap out of it to land on my feet. I sigh, "Glad you guys didn't wake me up when you got here." I glowered at them, "I would get really grumpy."
"We, the Diamond Dogs, demand our land back of which you ponies stole from us!" A raspy voice says.
"We're going to destroy this Castle, then go to Canterlot to dethrone the Princesses!!" Another says, causing all of the dogs to cheered.
I chuckle as I point at my chest, "You're going to have to go through me, first."
I jump up and punch one of the dogs to the ground; he doesn’t respond when the dust settles. I look at them all and smirk, "Who's next?"
"Damn it!" One of them exclaims while several of them came to punch me.
I dodge as I punch one in the gut to then get punched in the back of the head. I fly into the crystal wall of the castle. I breathe in some red fire and burn ten of them to ashes. A huge brute of a dog comes forth and lifts me up by my head. We are face to face. I kick his snout and he throws me into the nearest building. It crumbles to the ground when I crashed. Some lit candles fall over. They teasingly lick the mahogany surface until it burns to a crisp around me.
"Who was that Dragon?" One of the Diamond Dogs asks.
I get up and I walk through the flames. "I'm..." All of the dogs look to me in surprise, "...the Dragon King, just for fun, and Equestria is under my protection!"
"Enough of this foolishness!" Another dog shouts, sending several of them attack me.
One of them punches me in the air, another grabs me to throw my body into the crowd of dogs. I land with feet on two heads and smash them with my claws. It is then that the same brute punches me in the side of the face. 'What is this feeling?' I think. I fly towards another dog and he throws another punch to my face. I dodge and kick his gut. He then whacked the back of my head. 'The wild throbbing of my heart?' I ponder, as I open my eyes and burn twenty Diamond Dogs to the ground.
Another dog punches the other side of my face. 'That's it!! The exhilaration of a real fight!' I think as I smile. I punch three dogs into the air and run towards the group to circle around them. The wind of my speed creates a tornado. All of the Diamond Dogs fall into the tornado and I walk into it. The wind isn’t that heavy for me to begin with. So I get myself into position. With one fist angled in the opposite direction that they flew, I punch the remaining dogs.
I climbed up the pile of dogs mixed in with their own allies ashes as I was panting from this entire fight. 'I... I am panting from exhaustion!' I thought. I am actually getting exhausted from this fighting! It is something I haven't felt in a long time. The ground shakes underneath me and I hear a familiar scream.
"SPIIIKKKEE!!" It is Rarity! She is in the clutches of a huge Diamond Dog that has the features of a wolf.
The Diamond Dog, who has diamond-like fur, is even bigger than the others. He stares at me with his glowing blue eyes, while he standing on his child subjects. My heart throbs for the exciting villainous voice that is going to come out of his mouth. Though, at the same time, my worries are pointed to Rarity. She appears to have fainted, which was good because I don’t want her to see me like this.
"So," The huge dog says, "you're the one who's been taking care of my children."
I grit my teeth, "Yeah, they're all pathetic if you ask me."
His eyes squint, "I, The Diamond King, will defeat you and take this mare to be my wife, then claim Equestria as my own."
I jump into the air and shout, "Not a chance in Tartarus!"
"Spike! It's time to get up!!" Twilight's voice causes me to jump and shatter my crystal nightstand with a fist .
I immediately use my slithering tongue to pick up the pieces and proceed to munch off it. Luckily, Twilight isn’t in my room, but she is outside my bedroom door.
"What was that?" She asks.
I clear my throat as I wipe my face, "Nothing, just my bowl of gems were scattered across the floor."
"Oh..." Twilight say, "Can I come in?"
I sweep the remaining pieces of the nightstand under my bed, "Sure."
Twilight uses her magic to open the door and trots in. I notice that she has bags under her eyes. "Tough night?" I ask.
She shakes her head, "A letter was sent by Owlicious, from Celestia, to inform us that there was going to be a mini Diamond Dog invasion, with their so-called Diamond King." She yawns, "We defeated them with our Rainbow power because he was under the influence of Dark Magic."
I drop my head in disappointment, 'Well at least they could handle it... Wait. The Diamond King existed?' I thought as I sigh internally.
Twilight notices, "What's up?"
'Crap...' I think as I quickly smile, "Uh... Yesterday, Rarity was in Canterlot for some business. So I kind of missed her when I left the castle yesterday."
"Where did you go then?" She wonders.
"Just relaxed at the park, near the edge of the Everfree. Of course, not too close." I answer.
She smiles, "Well, as long as you had a relaxing time. Oh, and by the way," Twilight scoops me into a hug me with her hooves, "Happy Birthday, Spike."
"Twilight?" I ask.
"Yes?"
I want to tell her that I was the reincarnation of The Dragon King, but I decide against it - better to just let Celestia reveal it to my friends. Besides, it's not like they can believe me anyway.
I sigh, "When are we going to have the birthday party? I would like to invite Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Shining and Big Mac."
I hear a light snoring from my shoulder. I give a small chuckle. I slowly pick her up, set her on my bed, pull the covers over her and make my way towards the kitchen, for breakfast.
Pancakes and one large ruby it all I need for this morning. I grab Twilight's checklist and decide to get started on them. One of them is to clean the entire castle and the rest are all about my party. So I check the first few about cleaning the bathrooms, royal entrance, living area, dining room, and the map room. I smirk as I sprint towards the closet full of cleaning supplies and get to work.
Ten minutes later, the castle is literally sparkling. There is no dust, mud or grime on any surface. I feel very generous for today as I fix Twilight some pancakes and some eggs on toast for her. With a glass of milk, I put them on a tray to carry back to my room. As I enter the room, the alluring smell of breakfast awakens Twilight. She has her mane all sticking up at one side to which I smile at.
"Morning sleepy head." I chuckle.
"Spike..." She frowns, "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have slept, especially on you birthday."
I shrug my shoulders, "It's fine. You had a successful mission last night and you deserve it."
She smiles at that and levitates the tray to give me another hug, "Thank's Spike, you are indeed my number one assistant and you'll always be."
Pinkie Pie comes with the decorations to set up the party. After about thirty minutes of setting up, everypony that I know is at to the party. Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Discord, Luna, and Celestia.
I come into the room, which is the dining area. Celestia is there munching on a cupcake. I cross my arms and smirk. 'Tia?' I ask in her mind, 'Weren't you on a diet?'
She gulps and gives a cheeky smile. 'Today's an exception.' She responds in my mind. We've been able to do this ever since I was hatched from my egg. I learned how to talk with telepathy and was able to talk when I was the age of two. Luna, Tia and I only communicate through telepathy when my friends and Twilight aren't around. The two of us chuckle because we both know that it was just a friendly jest.
All joking aside, I lower my arms and wonder, "You sure that they'll accept me as a... Well you know."
Tia wipes her mouth with a napkin, "I'm sure of it. If they were able to accept Twilight as a Princess, then they will accept you for who you are."
"Thanks," I smile as she winks at me. 'Get ready for my announcement.' She says, in my head.
The two of us head to the group of ponies and a draconequus that are chatting in the living area. Celestia levitates a small glass of wine and clinks it with a spoon.
"My little pony's," She says and everypony gives their attention to us, "I have a special announcement."
Discord crosses his arms, "It's not going to be one of those speeches?" He snaps his fingers to reveal a scroll that unravels itself and continuously rolls out of the room and suddenly back into the room, at his feet. "The speech you said last time went around Ponyville, twice."
She shakes her head, "No, it's something about the birthday drake."
"What's the announcement have to do with Spikey Wikey?" Rarity asks.
Tia smiles, 'Watch their faces.' She said as Luna chimes into my head, 'Is it time to reveal your true identity?' I nod towards Luna and smile as Tia continued, "To be very blunt, Spike here, has a Royal status that has surpassed my own. He is the reincarnation of Abas, The King of all dragons."
I watch their faces and all jaws drop. I try to hold back my laughter and take a deep breath to settle it into calmness.
I say, "It's true. I've been taking down villainous monsters on my own while you've taken care of the villains that you guys were able to handle."
"I-I just don't believe this..." Twilight trots up to me in worry.
"What's not to believe?" I ask.
"She means," Rainbow says, "We probably need some kind of proof."
"For once, I agree with Rainbow," Applejack speaks up.
I look to Tia and she nods, 'Show them your power, not all of it, just a small portion.'
"Let's head outside, behind the castle." I cross my arms.
Discord walks in front of me and smiles, "Allow me." He snaps his fingers and we are all outside the castle. The nice, cold wind blowing past my scales feels very nice as Tia's sun warms us all.
"Luna," She turns her attention to me, "Could you please get me the heaviest rock from a mountain?"
'It shall be done.' I hear Luna internally. I saw her smirk as her horn teleport a boulder above my head. Everypony, except for Luna and Celestia gasp as I use my one claw to lift the whole thing without a sweat. I sigh as I jump from the ground, with the rock under my claw, and slam it into the lake which causes a five-foot tsunami. Tia gladly uses a shield to prevent anypony from getting wet.
I grab the side of the castle window and watch the water retreat back into the lake. When all of it has settled, I drop down and smirk as they tried to get their composure in check.
"I suppose this changes things for us being friends?" I ask.
Twilight gallops towards me and gives me a big hug, "This changes nothing, Spike. You are still you no matter if you have a royal status or not."
Rarity joins, "You're still my Spikey Wikey."
Everypony but Rainbow comes in for the hug and says, "You're our friend Spike."
"I can't believe I wasn't told about this earlier." Discord huffs.
"Can't really tell someone that has been imprisoned in stone for a long time." Tia comments.
Discord shrugs, "Oh... Well, I guess that's the reason."
The warm hug had to come to a stop when I spoke, "There is one problem, though."
Everypony's embrace loosens and we're listening, "After defeating," I counter with my claws, "an uncountable amount of enemies, I believe that I have become too strong."
"What makes you say that?" Fluttershy asks.
I sigh, "Yesterday, I defeated another enemy that had invaded this world and wanted to take over. One punch and a breath of my dragon flame got rid of him."
Rainbow scoffs, "Yeah right!"
I cross my arms and Applejack says, "Rainbow, what more proof do you need to be convinced? I'm the element of honesty and I'm telling you he's telling the truth."
"Unless~!" Pinkie sings, "She just wants to see more of Spikes brawn." She grabs my muscles and massages them with her hooves which Rarity stops her before I pulled her off.
I sigh, "Alright, I'll show you one more time, then will you believe me?"
She nodded as I look to Tia and give her a smirk. 'I'll need an asteroid from the sun please.'
Tia's horn glows and a huge asteroid comes plummeting towards Twilight's castle. The sun becomes covered like an eclipse. Rainbow cowards behind Applejack, who is looking terrified. Discord is about to say something, but Luna uses her magic to shut his mouth. Twilight and the others look at me as I kneel down to get ready to jump.
The ground cracks as I jump towards the asteroid and threw my punch directly into it. The front turns into rubble and I use my red dragon fire to eliminate the falling debris. The sun lights up everything that was once dark, as I dive back into the lake. I swim casually back to shore and look at everypony's astonished face. Rainbow's face is priceless, seeing her jaw drop while still looking at the sky where the asteroid was.
"Now do you believe me?" I ask as Rainbow starts to twitch.
"Rainbow?" Twilight asks.
She holds her breath and shouts at the top of her lungs, "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!"
Luckily, my ears are able to handle her yelling and the princesses were giggling. Then the whole group, including myself gets to laugh along with them. Today is a good day, saving the world twice, being accepted by my friends for who I really am and I just scared Rainbow Dash into believing me.
