"Pinkie Pie... time to to wake up sleepy head." Pinkie Pie opened her eyes to the sound of Discord's voice to find that she was not in her room. The place reminded her of the time she spend time with her friends in a hotel room in Manehattan when they helped Rarity. The only things that she didn't recognize was the the big boxes lined up in the middle of the room.

As she looked around, she came face to face with a creature that looked like the humans that Twilight told her about after coming back from the magic mirror. It was wearing a simple white shirt and jeans with an expression that made her think of her older sister. She smiled and looked over herself only to see that she was still a pony. Pinkie groaned disappointingly. She had been hoping to find out what it felt like to have hands and feet.

"Such a unusual creature you are." the male human mused snapping her back to cheerily self and with a flash was nose to nose with him.

"Oh hello my name is Pinkie Pie! Nice to meet you! Oh wow, you have funny hair! Can I call you Spikey?" Pinkie cheered without stopping to take a breath.

"L."

L? Is that your name? That's boring! Spikey is more fun to say and it fits you!" Pinkie admitted still keeping her smile when she noticed the sweets on table. "Ohhh... you like sweets too? Do you like Cupcakes?"

"Ah yes, but..." L started when Pinkie jumped with a over dramatic gasp.

"Does that mean you like parties? The party mare of all of Ponyville is here to help! Oh! I better start..."

"I'm afraid that with the Kira investigation going on.. such a event would be meaningless." L interrupted with the same indifferent tone.

"Wait! An investigation?! Are you a detective?!" Pinkie gasped then out nowhere put a deerstalker cap on her head and a smoke pipe that blew out bubbles. "I'll have you know that I solved a case once with my bestest friend in the whole wide world..."

L listened to the mare's recounting the events that happened on the Friendship Express was to zany to his liking. However, the one things he noticed that what she was saying reminded him of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. However, it doesn't change the fact that it felt more like a kid friendly version of the novel.

"I'm afraid that this case is far different then the one you solved, Ms. Pie." L begin getting Pinkie's full attention. "We are dealing with someone who can can kill anyone without being at the scene of the crime. Most of the public decided to award this individual the title of Kira and view this person as their savior. But with the death of the FBI agents I feel that savior isn't the right word to describe Kira."

Pinkie's reaction to this information caught L off guard as he watched the pony's mane deflating like a balloon. He noticed that her color scheme darken and her expression went from happy-go-lucky to depressed.

"W-why would they do that?" Pinkie cried with any hint of her bubbly personality gone from her voice.

L sighed and looked at Pinkie, "Because Kira believes that he or she are bringing justice to the world by targeting criminals even if they have done minor crimes. Recent events I have deduced that Kira is willing to kill innocent people that try to stop him from this crusade. I plan to stop this murderer with the help of others that chosen to risk their lives as well."

The moment he finished he noticed the pink pony's mane return to it's messy and poofy state before running to the kitchen leaving the detective alone. Without saying a word L sat in the chair he was sitting on before this weird creature came into his life. He waited for Yagami and his men to appear to confirm if this is really happening to him.
