Esther was sitting in the nook that was behind her tall bed which rested against the eastern wall of her room. She was bored; she had run out of things to draw hours ago and her pollies and ponies were just boring now. She had finished her schoolwork early today and was dreaming about what it would be like to go to a real school.

"I bet it's just wonderful to be surrounded by people all day! It has to be better than being alone all day..."

If you hadn't guessed, Esther was homeschooled. She hated it. Sure, she could finish up her school in a few weeks if she wanted but she didn't feel like it. School was her one company throuout the days and she was very bored on Saturdays and Sundays.

She looked at her little table she had made with a box and a lap desk. After some consideration, she placed an old blanket over it. Big woop, she decorated her small table. She could go brush her teeth... Again. Braces were no fun thing to try and brush. Her dentist wasnt to happy that she didn't know how to properly brush her braces.

She sighed, picked up the book she had finished reading, and started to get out of her nook. This was not an easy task. She struggled for a moment. God, she hated being bigger, in every size, than her mom and sisters. She used a little more force to try and get out but slipped. Her head heading straight for a metal chair, she braced herself for the pain... It never came. She opened one eye and could not believe her eyes. She fainted.

~*~

It was dark... At least, she thought it was dark. It definitely wasn't quiet. Two voices, very familiar to her, were having a conversation/argument.

"What do we do with her?!"

"Calm down, I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for this."

"What explanation? She randomly fell from the sky?"

Esther had enough. She tried, it took a while, but she finally managed to open her eyes.

"What the..." Esther said with much confusion in her voice.

"Ah, you have woken up."

"P-p-princess Celestia?!" Esther nearly screamed.

"Yes," Celestia replied, "and you are?..."

"Huh?"

"Surely a pegasus of your nature has a name."

Pegasus?... What?... No way. "May I see a mirror?"

"Of course." Celestia said before handing me a small mirror. What I saw made me gasp. There, staring back at me, was a navy blue pegasus with a wavy, but a bit more curly, lavender mane.

"This isn't possible..." I whispered to myself.

"Would you be so kind as to tell me your name?" Celestia asked as I saw Luna walk over and stand next to her.

"My name?" I asked, "its...its.... Silver Wind."

"It is quite fitting," Luna said with a grin, "I like it. However, sister, Twilight Sparkle has arrived. We must tell her of his return and of the empire!"

Empire?" I asked, "as in... The Crystal Empire?"

"How do you know of it?" Luna asked my with concern in her voice.

"I just...do."

"How much do you know?" Luna asked me with a raised brow.

"Not much... I know that you and Celestia defeated king Sombra, but not before he placed a curse on the land, causing it to disappear until now."

"Sister," Luna said as she turned towards Celestia, "we should send her with your student! We could send Silver with them and say she is my apprentice."

"It does sound like a good idea..." Celestia hesitated, "so be it. But let us hurry to my courtroom! My student is waiting!"

~*~

"I'm so glad you got to come with us!" Rarity said as she combed out her mane. They were on the train headed for the Crystal Empire, "be a dear and pass me my scarf?"

"Which one?" Silver asked as she looked at the pile of suitcases.

"The pink one," she said as she put her brush away before accepting the scarf, "thank you!"

"So, Silver," Rainbow said with a yawn, "you wanna race around for a while later?"

"I- uh- that is," I stammered, before letting out a reluctant sigh, "I don't k ow how to fly."

"Is tat why you don't have a cutie mark?" Rainbow asked before getting slapped by Apple Jack.

"Don't be rude!"

"Geez! Sorry! I was only asking- what is that?..." Rainbow asked as she pointed toward a dreary area.

"That's our stop," I said matter-of-factly, "Shining Armour will be coming to meet us."

"Why is my brother here?" Twilight asked with a puzzled look.

"He and cadence are positioned there."

"Oh..."

After a few minutes, we were off of the train. Soon after that, Shining Armor appeared before leading everyone towards the empire.

"So what exactly is the problem?" Twilight asked after a pause in our so called conversation.

"Well its-" Shinning Armor said before he whipped his head around, "that!" We all turned to look to see a massive grey cloud making its way toward us. "RUN!" Shinning yelled, "I'll hold him off!" The other stated running, and I'll admit I did too. But I soon realized that I wasn't going to be of much help at the Empire. So I doubled back just in time to see the cloud envelope Shining.

"Shining!" I nearly screamed as I raced to get there. Bad move. Soon, the cloud coveted me too. What was going to happen to me? Was something going to happen to my wings like how something happened to Shining horn? Wait... What's that smell?...

Everything went dark.

Her body was stiff. She couldn't move anything. Panic started rushing through her as she tried to move again.

"Don't try to move, you will only hurt yourself." a random figure said somewhere behind her and to the right

She didn't care what he said. She tried again, but as he warned, her left hoof pulled something. If she couldn't move, she would try opening her eyes. It took a little work but she finnaly managed to open her eyes only to have herself close them at the light that blinded her. She heard a few clicking noises.

"See if that's any better." the figure said again.

She took a deep breath, opened her eyes, and immediately closed them.

"Oh come now," Sombra said with a chuckle, "I don't look that bad."

It managed to make her giggle and she opened her eyes. She finally got up, after several failed attempts.

"You have beautiful eyes." he said in a whisper.

"And flattery will get you no where." I said with a grin.

"What if I was just speaking truth?" he said with a smirk.

"Then I'd believe you were tried to do something with me," a blurted out, "that's what happens in all the stories. He kidnaps a mare, keeps her hostage for a while, he falls in love, something happens to her, he lets her go, he disguises himself, goes and hangs out with her, he reveals himself, they fall in love, yadda, yadda, yadda."

"Interesting."

"Whatever."

"Hungry?"

"What?"

"Are you hungry?"

"A little." I said hesitantly.

"Then follow me," he said as he opened a door.

We walked through sever hallways, passing many doors along the way. After a bit of silence he finnaly opened a door.

"After you."

"Um, thanks."

She stepped in the room and was in awe. Sure it was a dining room, but it was made in a library.

"Oh my gosh..."

"Is something wrong?" he asked with a worried look in his eyes.

"No..." Silver gasped, "this is awesome!" she started looking at the tittles, "hold up, you have comics- WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?!"

He chuckled. "Want to read some later?"

"Yes please!" I said with the biggest smile on my face.

"What are you in the mood for, food wise that is."

"Well... Do you like pizza?"

"What in the Crystal Empire is pizza?" He asked with a skeptical look on his face.

"It's only the best food ever!" She said with a gleam in her eyes. He had a weird grin on his face. "What?"

"Hm?" He quickly shook his head, "nothing. Now, how about that 'pizza.'"

They were laughing the night away, for reading comic book after comic book. But soon, the clock struck elleven.

"I guess we should go to bed," Silver said with a sigh, noticing the grin Sombra had.hold on, she knew that grin! That's the "Disney look!" "Why are you looking at me like that."

"Well," he signed, "for starters, I'mthe reason that you're in Equestria. I was looking for a... Companion... I found you and just oobservedfor a while." He chuckled as a blush started forming on her face, "i ended up falling in love with a girl who called me her favorite villain."

Silver quickly turned her head to hide her blush, but when she turned back to face him, their muzzles were mere centimeters from each other. He smirked before closing the space between them, Silver's eyes flung open. She slapped him. Hard.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" she yelled in fury, "you're nothing but a...a monster!" She got up and ran out.

Well that was stupid..." Sombra said as he rolled his eyes.

~*~

It had been weeks since that "incident" and silver had never left her room. She had read every book in there, used all of the spare paper lying around, and was completely bored. She was hesitant to open the box Sombra had given to her a few days ago. She was so bored she was ready to do anything so she opened the box.

"My... My tablet...." She said in awe. How had he gotten it?! She didn't care. She just hurriedly turned it on, put in the earphones, and turned her favorite songs on full blast. Loving the freedom her music seemed to bring her, she started singing along. It wasn't long before the songs got old. She took out the headphones and was startled when-

"Come on Silver!" Twilight said as she burst through the door, "let's get out of here!"

Spike was following her with his claws folded tight.

Oh crap....

silver knew what was coming.

It had been weeks since Spike had saved the Empire. Lives went back to normal. Twilight and her friends solved problem after problem after problem. Silver, however, was never able to do anything with them.

Silver normally spent her days teaching herself how to fly or getting used to using her hooves. It took a lot of ppractice but she managed to get the hang of it. She would earn money, mostly by helping Applejack on the farm, to but sketch pads, pencils, and colored pencils so she could get back into drawing. She mainly drew sights on the Apple Farm.

On one such a day, she had set up an easel with paper and pencils to draw ponyville with a small bit of the apple orchards in it.

"Storybook endings... Fairytales coming true..."

She had gotten in the habit of singing while she drew.

"Deep down inside... We all wana make it too..."

Winging helped her focus on her drawing, causing her to get much better. Cheerily even asked if she would teach the foals art in exchange for her art supplies and her own apartment. She had been living on Sweet Apple Acres since she came.

"Back way from the start... It's out favorite part of the story..."

She set her pencils down.

"Let's just admit we all wana make it too!... Ever ever after!"

She starts doing a little jig.

"If we just don't get it our own way! Ever ever after! It may only be a wish away... Ever ever ever after!"

Her song had finished as quickly as it started.

"Keep singing like that and you'll have things going for you!" Apple Jack said as she carted some apples behind her in a wagon, "Ah wouldn't be surprised if ponies started asking you to sing at parties or something. Maybe even ask you to be in the Ponytones!"

Silver hid a blush, "no, I'm not that good. Besides, I like drawing much better."

"Such a talent shouldn't be wasted." A grey stallion with deep red hair said.

"And you are?" Silver asked hesitantly.

"Somber. Somber Tale," he said as he shook her hoof, "if you wanted, I could set you up with a big producer."

"This guy works with a friend off mine" Apple Jack said before she started heading back for Sweet Apple Acres, "trust me. He's good."

"I'll think about it," Silver said as she packed up her stuff, "but for now I have some ponies waiting for me."

"Very well," Somber said as he headed for ponyville, "let me knowby the end of the week.tthat'swhen iI head back for Canterlot."

"Very well," Silent said as she watched him go. Once he was gone, "that's totallySombra." She deadpanned."

"Ya think?" Apple Jack said as she unhooked herself from her cart.

~*~

"Sombra is in town?"Rainbow asked.

" he's in descise..." Silver said while rolling her eyes, "just like in most of the fanfics, new hoping to swoop in when I need help, get me to fall for him, and he can be 'happy.'"

"Sounds horrible, darling," Rarity said as she added a pinch of baby blue mascara, "remind me what a fanfic is."

"Its a story written by a fan of something. The fan takes the characters and turns them into a random story of their choosing," I hid a blush, "they, also, can involve...well... Porn like stories."

"Oh my goodness!" Fluttershy said as her face turned red, "you haven't written any of those... Have you?"

"Nah," I said as everyone sighed, "I wrote normal once shipping Discord and Twilight. Apple Jack and Soarin, rarity and Fancy Pants, Sweetie and Rumble. Yada yada yada." She laughed at the expressions on her friends faces. "Anyways, Twilight, can I borrow some books about Equestrian history?"

Her ears perked up, "sure! Come over sometime and I'll hook you up!"

"Great, thanks."

"Hold up!" Rainbow said, banging a hoof on the table, "you're just gonna let the fact that Sombra is here slide?!"

"It's not like I have a choice," Silver said with a cookie in hoof, "all the fanfics claim he's not gonna stop. Can we change the subject?"

"Sure!" Twilight butted in, "Silver, you wouldn't happen to want to sing at the gala, would you?"

"Really?" Silver gasped, "it would be an honor!"

"Darling," Rarity said as she poured herself some tea, "whatever would you sing? You don't really know the equestrian singing styles..."

Silver cleared her throat.

"She spins and she sways, to whatever some place,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sitting here feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders!
It's been a long day and there's still work to do.
She's pulling at me saying dad I need you,
There's a ball at the castle, and I've been invited, and I need o practice my dancing!
Oh please... Daddy please!

So I will dance with Cinderella!
While she is here in my arms...
Cause I know, something the prince never knew!
Oh oh oh ohhh!I will dance with Cinderella!
I don't want to miss even one song...
Cause all to soon, the clock will strike midnight....
And she'll... Be.... Gone..."

"That..." Rarity said, at a loss for words, "that was magnificent!"

"Then its set!" Twilight exclaimed, "Silver can sing some of the songs from where she's from!"

~*~

Silver was backstage, she was nervous. In just a few moments she was supposed to go sing and she had forgotten every song she had planned to sing. Now was not the time to panic! Now was the time to wing it!

"And now! I present to you our singer, Silver Wind!"

Silver gulped, this was it. Had tried to think of a song offofthe top of her head... The stars did look lovely through that window- wait... Stars! Silver walked on stage, knowing exactly what song she was going to sing.

"Close your tired eyes, relaxing them,
Count from one to ten, and open them.
All those heavy thoughts, will try and weight you down, but not this time...

Way up in the air, you're finally free and you can stay up there, right next to me.
All this gravity, will try and weight you down, but not this time..

When the sun goes down and the lights burn out then its time for you to shine!
Brighter than a shooting star!
So shine no matter where you are, tonight!"

They liked her. They actually liked her singing! She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. Her moment lasted for, like I said, a moment. She stepped off the stage when Luna motioned her to come towards her.

"What's wrong?" Silver asked in concern.

"Another pony has randomly appeared," Luna said with worry in her voice, "we would appreciate it if you would come with us."

"Yes," Silver said immediately, "lead the way!"

~*~

Luna lead Silver down some stairs. It was a long way towards wherrever it was she was taking her. When they finally reached the room, Celestia was already getting ready to close the door.

"Tia?" Luna asked, "is he alright?"

"He started freaking out, I had to put him to sleep."

"May I go in?" Silver hesitantly asked.

"I guess." Celestia said as she opened the door.

Silver peered inside. The stallion, who was sleeping, seemed to be her age. He was a dark blue with brown hair. Silver moved the hair of his mane, he was a unicorn. Silver couldn't put her hoof on it, but he seemed familiar. The mane especially. He started to stir.

"Where am I?..."

"At the castle," Silver replied. His eyes sprung open.

"What the?!"

Silver's ears folded back, she stumbled backwards some. That voice... His eyes...

"Silver?" Luna said as she walked in, "is everything all right?"

"Y-yea!" Silver quickly said, "please, excuse him... Um... Steel sword has never been to the palace!"

"Steel sword?" He asked.

"You know him?" Luna said in shock.

"Yes, I believe I do.

" very well... I'll leave you both be." Luna said before she left.

"I hate to disappoint you, but my name isn't-!!!"

Silver hugged him tight. "I never though I'd see anyone I new ever again!"

"Uh..."

"I know your name isn't steel sword," silver said as she broke the hug, "the same as my name isn't Silver..."

"What?"

"My name is Esther..."

"WHAT?!"

"yea..."

"Wow... How did you even get here? How did we get here?!"

"Kent, I don't know!" Silver snapped, "but... I have a theory..."

Silver practically stomped to her room, Blade struggling to keep up.

"Wait up!" He called, "I'm not used to hooves yet!"

Silver opened the door to her room and walked to a mirror. With frustration in her voice, she said, "I knew you were stupid but I didn't think you would go this low!!"

"Es- Silver," Blade asked softly, "who are you talking to?"

"Answer me!!" Silver shouted.

"You really take the fun out of everything," Sombra deadpanned, "you know that?"

"Why did you bring him here?!" Silver yelled.

"You looked lonely," Sombra said while rolling his eyes, "now I take my goodbye."

Silver gritted her teeth. Oh how she hated him.

"Miss silver?," a guard asked through the door, "the princesses are worried about you."

"Thank you lutenant Gamer," she called back, "let them know I'll be down soon."

"Yes ma'am!"

Silver paced back and forth.

"Why would he be so stupid as to bring you here..." she said before stopping herself, "no offence."

"None taken"

Silver sighed, "Well, we better get heading back down there."

"For what?" Steel Sword said with a confused look on his face.

"You know, the Gala..."

"Oh god why was I brought here now?!" he said as he slumped, "my sisters watch that episode to much!"

Silver hid a giggle. "Come on, 'Steel Sword', let's go."

"Do I have to?" Steel asked with a pleading look in his eyes that said he wanted nothing to do with the gala.

"Yes, you have to," Silver said she headed for the door. She paused. "You know... you're going to need a tux if you're going down there." Steel gulped. Silver went and pushed a button by her bed. a few minutes later, a lavender, unicorn mare came to the room.

"You called?" the mare asked.

"Yes, I did, Twilia," Silver said. Twilia was her mare in waiting, "How soon do you think you could get my friend here a simple tux?"

"Not to long, ma'am!" Twilia said as she rushed to go and find something that might work. It wasn't long before she returned, "I managed to find this one, it's not the best I'm afraid, but it will do!"

Steel took the tux and went to put it on.

"You are dismissed for now, Twilia." Silver said.

"But miss, look! There is a tear in your gown!" Twilia said as she pointed towards the back of the dress, "I'll be right back with another one!"

"Thast's not neccessary!" Silver said but it was no use, Twilia was already out the door and was back before you could say chimmy cherry, chimmy changas.

"Here," Twilia said as she handed Silver a simple black dress, "quickly now! before you're friend is done changing!"

Silver sighed and changed into the dress; Twilia left soon after. She was re-fixing her hair when she heard some hoofsteps.

"Woah..." Steel said from the doorway, "You look... just... wow..."

"Much wow?" Silver teased.

He laughed, "Much, much wow."

"Why it seems you just might be falling for a pony," she teased again, "coming from the one who "hates" the show."

Steel's face turned a deep red, "Just shut up and lead the way..."

~*~

"Who in Equestria is he?!" a mare whispered to her friend, "he is simply the clumbsiest stallion I have ever seen!"

"Why on earth would would Luna's student even be anywhere near him!" the second mare said, "I simply cannot let something like this happen!" she said as she cantered over to the other side of the room. "General Hudson."

"Ah, Clover Leaf, how may I help you?" Hudson said before he took a sip of his drink.

"Who on earth is that stallion with Silver Wind?!" Clover demanded, "and WHY is he even here?! The gala is for sophisticated ponies and sophisticated ponies only. What is a rufian like him doing here?!"

Hudson paused. "Ma'am, I'm afriad I can do anything to help you."

"Then at least tell me who he is!" Clover, again, demanded.

"I'm afraid I can't, ma'am." Hudson said, turning to leave.

"What if I gave you the time of your life?" Clover said flirtatiously, batting her eyes, "would you be able to spare some information then?"

"I- uh- I..." Hudson was at a loss for words. Sure, mares did this all the time, but Clover was much more prettier than any other mare in his book.

"Excuse me," Wind said as she walked over, "But I need to borrow the General for a moment."

"Oh, well, fine." Clover pouted.

"Thanks," Hudson whispered to her as the walked off.

"Anytime."

~*~

"So who exactly is he?" Rainbow said the morning after the gala, "another random pony like you?"

"Rainbow Dash!" Rarity exclaimed, "rude!"

Silver tried to hold in a giggle. "Well, actually, Rainbow is right. Steel is a friend of mine from where I'm from. I still don't know how he got here though..." She looked in his direction. After the gala last night, he was bound and determined to get used to walking on four hooves. She giggled as he fell on his face for the sixth time.

"I know that look on your face, darling," Rarity said with a wink, "was something going on between you two back where you come from?"

Silver's face turned a deep shade of red. "He was kind of my crush..."

"Was?" Fluttershy asked.

"That was when we were humans," silver said as she looked in his direction, "now that we're here... I just don't know..."

Pinkie spoke up.

"I ship it."
