Fleetfoot has one mission: to help break a certain big blue pegasus out of his shell of shyness.

Fleetfoot has always wanted to know Calm Wind better, the only problem is the big stallion is incredibly shy and nervous around mares (seemingly more so around her specifically). Her past attempts to get his attention were mostly goofy or suggestive, so this time she decides to take a more direct and gentle approach. To her surprise... it works quite well.

It was a cold afternoon in the Wonderbolt compound. My teal hooves reached for a scarf that hung on my night stand. The scarf was a vibrant blue. It reminded me of a rather large pony. His coat a light blue. His eyes brighter than sky blue. His mane a warm maroon brown, three shades, each lighter than the other. I tightened the scarf around my neck. A small smile crept onto my face. My white mane standing up. I pushed it down with a hoof and it sprang back up again.

"Hehehe," I giggled. Bouncing out of my dorm room."Nighty!" I called out to an alicorn who was similar color with a dark teal mane and eyes the same color as the stallion I’m so fond of. "Have you seen Calm anywhere?" I asked and she looked at me.

"Calm caught a cold, he's in bed. At least I think he is," she replied. Continuing her way to Rivet’s office.

Rivet, a tiny yellow stallion with a brown mane walked out. As much as I wanted to tackle the stallion with hugs, I held in my urge to. Continuing my way to Calm's room.
I knocked on his door.

"Come in," a low voice said and I poked my head in. As soon as I poked my head in I could tell that his body tensed up. He was wearing a pair of glasses and had some pencils on what seemed to be his desk.

"Nighty told me you caught a cold," I announced which he nodded shyly, turning his attention back to the giant book in front of him. "Whatcha doin?" I asked and tried to look over his shoulder. He took his glasses off.

"W-hen I’m not flying, I write..." he explained as I looked at the shelf to the left, walking up to it.

"Are these all hoof-written?" I questioned which he nodded.

"Mm hmm," he mumbled shyly, using his mane to hide his eyes.

“Hey I think that’s cool! I could never write anything good, even if I tried,” I giggled out. Calm got up from his bed and went to the shelf, scanning his hoof written books he pulled one out.

“You’ll like this one,” he stated. I held the book in my hooves, looking back at the shelf. Spotting a pink book a white tail on it.

“What’s that one,” I asked pointing to the pink book. His face turned a little pink.

“I’d rather not have you look at that...it’s still in progress,” he stated. I looked down, A bit guilty.

“Sorry i asked,” I managed to whisper.

“I-it-s ok...you didn’t know,” he stammered taking the book on his desk, closing it and propping it up on the shelf. In total there were 10 books. Two green, one purple, one pink, and the remaining are unique shades of blue with the last book being a light maroon. The color of his mane. When I looked back at him he was adjusting the pillows and blankets to his comfort. I decided to speak.

“Do you mind if I stay longer?” I questioned which he nodded. I blushed and closed the door, climbing on the end of the bed. He shifted, a little uncomfortable. “Also…..thank you for saving me back there almost three months ago,” I shyly thanked with a blush.

My white mane started to fall out of place, strands of it falling in front of my eyes, soon all of it fell down. Looking at him I quickly pecked his cheek and he lit up like a stop light. He immediately hid his face in his pillow.

“Calm?” My voice quivered and his ears perked up. “Uhm… I’m a little… cold,” I blushed and he pulled his big wing over me. I turned pink, deciding to rest my head into his surprisingly fuzzy, fluffy, warm fur. “Y-you're so…...warm,” I managed to stutter. His fur brushed against my face. I started to feel...tired. Feeling my eyes closing I looked at the clock. Have I really been here for two hours? I tried to keep my eyes open but I failed, watching the light and blue fur disappear from existence. I heard him move, feeling a warm shiver down my spine as I felt his warm gaze. Feeling his hooves move, I heard a puf as the pillow was laid down to my left and heard a quiet sigh.

Some time later my eyes opened. It was dark and my eyes fixed on Calm who’s head was laying on the pillow which he’d moved. I gazed upon a small alicorn. Nighty, who I came across earlier, was sleeping in the embrace of his hooves, a blanket of sky blue covering her as well as his fur, and her tiny hooves. A large gentle smile plastered on his face, I held in a d’aw at the sight. Watching them move a little.

I gazed at something in the corner of my eye. A card was laying on his night stand ‘get well brother’ it said on the cover. I felt my heart tug at how cute the card was. I decided to lay back down into his soft fur. I soon was taken over by sleep.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the morning I could feel his warm gently breath near me. I shifted a little. My muzzle touched the tip of his big hoof which i felt something soft. My eyes opened. It was a plushie… of me. And he was hugging it. I blushed a bright pink. My immediate thought was to hug him, but I leaned in and kissed his cheek. His eyes shot open and he lit up like a stop light. He noticed that I saw the plushie and turned more red. Before he could duck his head under his pillow I hugged him gently, his neck is what I could reach right now. He released a meep but hugged me tightly, nuzzling me.

“I… I had to save you. I didn’t want you and my friend to… die,” he quietly whispered. My heart felt as if it had been stabbed as I felt something wet drop onto my shoulder. “I..I-”

I cut him off and kissed him. His face turned once again bright as a stop light...but he seemed to have melted in. The kiss was light and gentle. But passionate. Full of affection. I felt a cold burst of air from the far left. I opened one of my eyes. Calm was too caught up in the moment to hear the door or feel the cold air.

“Fle-” It was spitfire. Calm’s eyes burst open and stared at spitfire. His ears, tips of wings, and his whole face turned a bright gleaming red as he stared with wide embarrassed eyes. He zipped under the pillow and groaned loudly. I was blushing a bit more myself. too embarrassed to say anything. spitfire closed the door and left. I didn’t know i was holding my breath so I let out a sigh and turned to calm.

“Is she gone now?” Calm whimpered.

“Yes calm she’s gone,” I replied. He lifted his head out of the grasp of his pillow and looked at me blushy and sad. “I’m here now,” I gestured and climbed onto his neck, my wings draping down his shoulders as I let them, I decided to put my mouth on his ear. “Num,” I giggled and I heard a meep and his neck tensed up. I smirked and ‘nummed’ his ears more.

“Hey! no fair!” Calm replied and used his feathers to tickle the back of my wings which I yelped in surprise. Turning bright pink. I started to giggle.

“Hahaha, stop it, nohaha! Calm!” I shouted out which he chuckled to himself as I fell off his neck. I relaxed when he stopped and held a hoof to his big nose. “Boop,” I said with a giggle and he stared blankly. He looked down and kissed me on the nose.

“Boop,” he said back with a chuckle. My eyes stared into his vibrant deep blue irises. Reminding me of how...relaxed he almost always is. A deep red blush has formed on his face as he stared back. “You're…” He paused. “Cute” he managed to say. My hooves lifted up to my face as I held in a squeak. Now it was my turn to hide behind my white mane.

“Eep!” I stuttered with a high squeaky pitch. His soft fur brushed against me. All of a sudden a low growl came from below. “What was that?” I asked calm and he blushed.

“My stomach,” Calm replied and blushed more pink.

“Hmm….” I said thinking of somewhere that has pretty good salads. “If only I knew a good place to eat,” I said and stretched my wings and back. My eyes drifted to him which he walked into his small living room, I did as well. Looking up at another shelf i found a cookbook “I never knew you cooked,” I claimed and took down the book. Coming across soups. “Sit,” I said. He sniffed.

“Dang it...the dayhoof is wearing off,” he said and stuck his tongue out. He sat on the couch and sneezed. “I actually was never the cooker. I just bought the book to give me ideas of food in my writing,” he honestly replied before his stomach gave off another low growl.

“Geez what do you have in there? A dragon?” I giggled and took out some potatoes, herbs, and cream. I cut the potatoes and herbs up. Pouring the already made cream into the bowl. Stirring it up and putting it in the mare o’ wave, heating it up for a minute. After it was done I stirred it and used a spoon to mash up a bit of the chunks. Giving it to calm.

“Thank you,” he said as his mouth watered. Sticking his nose in he licked the potato-y soup. Letting his tastebuds refresh. He stuck his nose in again. “Mm!” he exclaimed. Slurping up the soup till it was gone. When he lifted his nose up he had a moustache of cream. I giggled and he licked the potato-y goodness off his muzzle. A smile plastered on his face as he stuck his tongue out. “Can I have more?” Calm eagerly asked and I nodded.

“Only if you’ll let me look at that pink book” I noted in return. Smiling innocently as he turned pink.

“Uhm…” he mumbled trying to hide his face in the couch. I sighed.

“If it's that private I guess it can slide,” I sighed and Calm seemed relieved. “I really need to hide that book,” Calm said and pulled me into the embrace of his hooves. “You're...so SMALL!” He squeaked and put his muzzle in my mane.

“Mm,” I muttered. His muzzle near my ears which he started to num them.

“Hey, you up for the gym?” I asked and he shook his head.

“Snuggles first,” he replied

“Okay fine, we’ll go later.” With that I snuggled him. So much that we actually fell asleep. The warmth of each other's grasp tugging at our hearts throughout the rest of the day.

To be continued...soon…

I shifted my body a bit across the couch. Feeling her warm presence leaning against me. My blue eyes opened scanning across my blue fur. Shifting my head to move my maroon brown mane out of my eyes, my face becoming full of warmth. She was laying right next to me. Her white mane in front of her other eye. Sleeping soundly into the side of my shoulder. Fleetfoot.

She’s so peaceful, gentle. I’d never really expect that from all of the behavior I've witnessed. She’s usually so bubbly, flirty and outgoing. How can she….oh right. I mentally noted as surprise came to thought. The mare my friend Swift Justice kept drooling over from time to time. I think he still does to make Shine jealous.

I let out a pleasured sigh and carefully moved her into the grasp of my hooves. I froze as she shifted. Her teal coat…so vibrant. Her hooves moved and wrapped around my big hoof. As much as I wanted to stay, I have to stretch myself out. I started to carefully move her hooves off of my hoof.

Feeling bad that I had to leave I put a note on the table next to her. I walked to my room and opened the small door. The door belonged to my very very close friend, night scribbler. She’s like a little sister to me. So I decided to check up on what was going on.

“Nighty?” I questioned, Poking my head in. She was sleeping...next to her coltfriend. Who was a little too close for my comfort. Well I'm going to have a chat with her later, I mentally noted. I closed her door. Thankfully Fleet was still asleep. I quietly opened the front door and closed it. Feeling guilt tug at my heart, I made my way to the gym in the wonderbolt compound. I froze as I ran into Playbitz. A close friend of mine who was recently married a few weeks ago.

“Hey where have ya’ll been?” he asked quizzingly, moving his black mane out of his eyes. But he hit realization. “Oh, haha, so she finally broke ya shell didn't she?”

My face flushed in a bright red color. I couldn't lie. PB new me all too well. I nodded.

“Yes she did,” I sighed and blushed a bit. My wings a little open. “As much as I wanted to stay I have been lacking on my physical schedule.” I replied to PB who nodded.

“ Ya sure have. Come on. Rivet has been….well...panicking.” I winced. When rivet panics he passes out, turns fluffy, and his wings go stiff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I reached his office Rivet was laying splat on the floor, fluffed up and passed out. I touched his wing and tried to fold it down, which it sprang back up again. Lifting him up, I placed him in his room, laying him in his bed and pulling the covers over him.

Seeing something in the corner of my eye, I looked to my left and there was an illustration of all of my friends. The mural covered the whole left wall of rivets workshop. I was in the middle, my wings spread out, covering the rest.

There was Play Bits, the stallion I talked to earlier, who has a peach coat. His flight feathers black. Yellow eyes and two scars on his muzzle. Shine Struck, an undersized mare with a pink coat. Her mane made up of two shades of blue and yellow. Shine’s wings turn a lighter pink as they went to the tips. Swift, A dark blue stallion with a black mane. He is half bat pony. Making his yellow eyes brighter than the rest of them. Then there was Rivet. A little taller than Shine. His coat was a dull yellow. His mane a cinnamon brown. His wings turned a little darker at the tips.

Lastly, me, Calm Wind. I am a dark shade of powder blue with aqua eyes. I am rather oversized. Three times the size of Swift who is a regular sized stallion, mane is a dull color of maroon. My Feathers turn a dark blue.

The mural was so well done, my eyes just couldn't stop staring at it’s beauty. All the colors mixed so perfectly.

I quickly snapped my head to attention across the hall. A pair of glowing eyes caught my attention. It was Nighty. But she looked rather different. Her wings are now...a bit…batty. Her mane and tail the same though. But her horn was missing, and she had...tailfeathers?

“Beautiful...isn’t it?” She spoke and I nodded.

“You did well Nighty.” I whispered and walked over to her. Pulling one of my big hooves over her. I felt her small hooves hug my leg. “Thank you,” I whispered, pulling her up to my chest. She smiled and put her tiny hooves on my chest fur.

“I love you,” she quietly whispered. I think my heart exploded into thousands of shards. Every time she said it it was like no other.

“I love you too,” I replied back, hugging her closer. I leaned my head down and kissed the tip of her nose. She smiled and moved her mane out of her eyes.

“Come on, let’s go, you still need to do that workout,” she said and I started to walk out of the room following close behind her.

As we walked down the hallway and to the gym door, I held the door open for her. I watched her walk in before closing the door behind me. She was heading straight for the two-hundred-fifty pound barbell. I watched her lift the big barbell out of the slot. My jaw hung open. B-but she’s so small!

She laid down on her back, grasping each weight with her wings, easily lifting it up and down. I couldn’t believe my eyes, past two-hundred-fifty is a bit of a challenge for me. I shook my head and headed for some of the equipment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a bit I can feel the sweat dripping off my face and neck as I lifted a one-fifty barbell off my back.

I could see a green earth pony, Rainboom, staring at Nighty who was sweating herself. She was wiping herself off, putting her towel over her neck and heading to the door. She waved a hoof at me and smirked at Rainy who followed behind her, seeming to be hovering in the air by a foot, his eyes full of hearts.

I chuckled and continued my workout. It was fun to do this. Though I froze as a cyan color zipped into the gym. Oh god she can’t see me like this. I took a towel and flew out of the back gym door. Catching my breath I wiped the sweat off. Some of my veins visible on my skin, I sigh and rubbed the towel into my face. The soft yet rough fabric easily took the oils off.

Looking over the edge of the Wonderbolt Compound, there was a waterfall nearby, I could hear it. Though there was a soft laugh, I looked down and Fleet has used the door before me, she was now in the waterfall, her mane covering some of her face. I tried my best to hold back a blush as she spread her wings, they were damp and sparkling with...bubbles?

I hesitated. Should I go down there? Nighty was always getting me to crack my shell.

Why not? I grabbed the towel, putting it around my neck again. I spread my giant blue wings, diving down, I decided to go through the waterfall. I flew as fast as I could go, shooting through the water and went splat face first into the water. I pulled my head out which is now covered in mud. I turned to Fleet, who bursts into a fit of giggles.

“Oh Calm, your so funny!,” she exclaimed and I went with it, I couldn’t be negative. I laughed myself and fell over into the water. Just now I noticed how shallow it was. I stood up and walked into the waterfall, feeling the water rush through my feathers. The mud washed away.

“This feels good actually,” I said to her and let the pressure of the water massage my neck. I sighed in pleasure as the water caught an itch behind my ear. “Oh yes right there,” I addressed to myself. I walked out of the waterfall and into the pond like area, moving deeper, I decided to lift up my feet, my head above the water, using my wings to keep me afloat.

I feel Fleet getting closer, I swim into the lily pads, where there was a willow tree, I got to shore and shook off the water from my fur like a dog. I looked up and the sun was going down, the sky beautiful shades of orange, purple, and indigo. I laid down in the grass, my head against the willow tree. Watching the sky turn a deep navy blue.

My coat started to fluff up. Signaling that it's drying off. Great. Just great. Right when Fleet is here.

“ Whoa...you have a lotta fur...and its...fluffy!” I blushed as she got closer, her face moving around in my fur. ...It felt...nice. I relaxed. My fur fluffing up more. I tried my best not to release a meep. Feeling her sinking into my fur like a rock. I looked down at her, taking her out of my fluff and into my hooves, her back leaning against my chest. She let out a sigh.

I never knew that it felt so nice. Why was I hiding from the feeling? Well derp. I sighed and laid my head down. My gaze feel upon a wild pink rose. It was the color of Fleets eyes. Plucking it from the ground I placed it behind her ear.

“Thank you” she said in return.

“I love you,” I said to her and enveloped her in my fluff and wings.

For all of eternity.
