I decided to post a late night fanfic about Ponies. So I did.

In this story a new threat has risen from beyond Equestria. Celestia must take cautious actions to protect her beloved village of Ponyville.

The fires raged across the city, buildings on fire, smoke rising up towards the dark blue sky and past the bright, radiant and beautiful moon. From a distance you could tell this fire was not on accident, it was obvious, instead it was a message to the Princess of Equestria. The alicorn paced the balcony as she ordered everypony, as well as anypony who had means of transport to stay away from the city. Most of the royal guards as well as the Wonderbolts themselfs had insisted on saving the ponies in the buildings or to put out the fires. She had shaken her head and told them that there were no ponies in the buildings, the fires were pony made. “W-why would they burn their own city?! It makes no sense!” The captain said confused and angry.

Celestia looked over at the city in the distance, over the tree tops of the Everfree forest, and sighed. “Guard the perimeters of Ponyville, protect the Elements of Harmony. Arrest everypony who tries to enter the city, Canterlot is in danger.” Celestia slowly trotted towards the royal bed chambers as the Captain nodded and started rounding up his guards. She had stopped in the hallway, looking at portraits of her greatest subjects including the most famous as well as strongest unicorn that she knew, Twilight Sparkle. The Princess was hoping the message wouldn’t be as devastating as it was. A couple tears dropped to the cold marble floor, the light above making a reflection in the small puddle, Celestia looked at herself. She quickly turned her head. “I could have prevented this…how I failed my loyal subject…” she started tearing up again. She wiped her eyes and got into her bed.

Hours had passed since she had woken up, the Princess brushed her mane as she quickly trotted towards the stairs. She floated down, not touching one of the many steps, and smiled. She got to the bottom and slowed her pace. She trotted towards the doors when two guards opened them. She smiled and thanked them. Celestia took a deep breath of fresh air and smiled. “It’s a wonderful day” She looked out towards the city of Canter lot, and then took off towards the sky. She flew up towards the clouds, there were two guards flying behind her. She flew through the soft clouds then looked down, she was directly above Ponyville now. She put her wings close to her sides and let gravity works its magic. The two guards looked startled and tried to catch her. The princess smiled, feeling the wind across her chest and through her mane. She opened her wings and floated softly towards the biggest tree in Ponyville, which happened to be the Library. Celestia heard a few gasps of astonishment from the few ponies who were awake and moving about this early in the long day to come, she smiled and took a soft step in the cold dirt. The two guards sighed and landed behind her, they quickly took the emotionless face they were known for, and followed her.

The Princes trotted up towards the tree and knocked on the wooden door. Celestia knocked again, not getting a response from inside, and waited. She heard a worried voice behind the door and smiled. The door opened as Twilight smiled. Her mane ruffled as she had lines under her eyes. The princess took interest but quickly forgot as purple unicorn spoke. “Princess!” she said surprised and worried. “W-what are you doing here? Not to be rude or anything but shouldn’t you be uh…”

“I am the Princess after all, Twilight, I can do what I please.” She smiled as trotted into the house as her guards stayed at the door. Twilight closed the door and took a seat in the living room with the Princess.

“I would offer some coffee or tea but I…uh…ran out.” Twilight said a bit sad.

“No need Twilight, I have not come for the tea or the coffee, I have come to speak to you.” The princess looked at the unicorn with a worried look, but a soothing smile. “What do you know of the recent news surrounding Equestria?”

Twilight moved in her seat. “I’ve heard that some of the cities citizens in Equestria are burning buildings and causing havoc. Some are even overthrowing the mayor of the city.” She said a bit worried. “What do you think could have caused this?”

Celestia sighed in relief. “I don’t know, but I’m going to find out. Twilight, don’t leave this town. It’s under strict order to arrest any pony who tries to enter both Canterlot and Ponyville. I have reason to believe that we will be soon under attack.” Twilight looked shocked at hearing the news.

“What of Applejack? And Zecora?” She asked quickly as the Princess stood up.

“The Apple family will be moved to Ponyville for the time being, I have sent ponies to protect the zebra and her hut. I am leaving these two guards here to watch over you. I have also sent guards to each of your friends to protect them as well. I do not know what is coming, but what I do know is that it will be fierce. Your guards will explain the rest.” The Princess smiled towards the unicorn. “Do not worry.” The door opened as Celestia trotted out, leaving the guards behind.

Twilight Sparkle was relieved to know the princess will take care of the situation, but was shocked to find that the problem required that her and her friends have guards as well as the entire town be locked from the outside world.

((I don't even think I will continue with this story...I mean, maybe if I get enough encouragement I might continue, but that's highly unlikely. Besides, who wants to read this horrible story?
