> Their most faithful student > by Wendy A Crescent > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter zero: Prologue > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Love is not a thing you get a lot, But love the girl you have got. She is always there to care for you, The thing we have is oh so true” - Autumn Delight   "No... No... NO!" the bookish Alicorn bemoaned as she tossed book after book behind herself, a scowl crossing her delicate features. She heaved a sigh of annoyance, her hands slowly running through her dark purple hair, as she used her red-ish pink magical aura to lift up the book she had just finished searching through her eyes closed as she laid herself onto the desk with a long drawn out sigh of resignation. She tossed the last of the books over her shoulder earning a small draconic squeal from behind her as the enormous stack of books collapsed on top of her number one assistant. "Nothing..." she muttered to herself. “There is NOTHING, Spike.” She said, without even noticing the small dragon was buried under a bookcase worth of books.   “Twilight, help me!” Spike protested as his claw grasped from under the landslide of books, desperately seeking for a way to pull him to safety. He let out a small squeak as the princess of friendship used her magic to pull him from below the pile of books, setting the young dragon onto the desk, gently.   “Sorry Spike, I’m a little distracted” she excused herself as she looked him over for injuries, even though she knew his scales would have protected him from any real harm that a mountain of books could cause for a pony.   “So what’s on your mind, Twilight?" He asked, his large eyes looking into her violet eyes surrounded by dark circles from the lack of sleep. “Have you actually taken the time to sleep?”   “Of course I haven’t, how could I sleep?” she blurted out in mild annoyance, her wings stretching outwards as she leapt off the chair with a mighty flap. This caused her to stumble on the landing, as she was still not used to being airborne” I have gone through every single book in Ponyville Spike. And I can't find anything about being a princess."   Blushing slightly as she observed the pile of books that she had created, biting her bottom lip softly to suppress a groan. Her hands softly patted the pleated skirt that hung low to her ankles, and pushed her glasses slightly up on her nose. “Well... I should clean this up.” she said with a small nod to her own words not really talking to anyone in particular. Her horn illuminated in a soft purple-pink glow as the princess weaved the spell in her mind allowing the aura to envelop the books, levitating them to their rightful place in the book shelves in record time.   “Remind me again, why do we still have a re-shelving day when you can do that?” Spike asked in his rather typical, playfully sarcastic voice. He eyed the books being placed at a pace that he and Twilight could never manage when doing the same thing by hand and claw.   Arching her eyebrow she glanced to Spike as her magic slowly died down, with a small smile on her rosy lips “Because it’s fun and relaxing of course!” she said, earning a small groan from the little Dragon. "Spike take a letter for me" she was about to say, though the sentence was interrupted by a small young dragon belching out a rather large puff of green flames, from which a sealed scroll materialized into existence landing on Twilight’s desk a moment after.   The young drake smirked just a little as he took the sealed letter from the desk and cut open the wax seal and unrolled the letter "Seems like Princess Celestia beat you to it." He said, grinning slightly as he started to recite the letter's content.     My dearest Twilight,   It has been some time and I hope you are settling in well with your altered from, I know getting used to the changes can be a difficult, and even hard for you getting used to having wings and an increased magical aptitude.   Not to mention getting used to the idea of being a princess of Equestria. I am sure you have been worrying about what is expected of you from now on? I would not be surprised if you have been combing through all books in Equestria for information on the subject.   My sister and I would like to invite you to come to Canterlot this upcoming weekend. So we may discuss this and your future role in the political stage. Not to mention it has been over two months since your coronation and the summer Sun festival is drawing closer, it would be lovely to see you again.   Love, Celestia   "How did she know I was...?” Twilight trailed off and blushed slightly as she looked to spike questioningly, her cheeks turning a rather cute shade of crimson as she realized just how informal the letter sounded to her, as if she and the solar goddess where... equals. Her hands clasped over her heart as she checked her pulse, she opened her eyes wide at that thought. She was stricken with nervousness although she was quickly snapped out of her freak out moment by the snapping of a claw.   "Equestria to Twilight, wake up Twilight." The smaller drake said, giving her his signature deadpan look. "You're predictable like that, is how she knew. Shall I take a letter in response?" He said, looking at her with quill and parchment already in his claws; a small smile adorned the young drake as he watched his older sister.   "W- Yes, take a letter Spike." She nodded gently, sitting down crossing her legs as she does so starting to recite a letter in return, a bit more formal than Celestia’s letter had been by habit mainly or perhaps by sheer nervousness at the thought of being seen as an equal by Princess Celestia.   Spike scribbled furiously as he followed along with what Twilight was reciting, not having any trouble with his penning, though at times looking up at her with an arched eyebrow “You’re going to reply that formally to her? You realize that being a princess makes you equals right?” he offered though was silenced by what could only be described as a death glare from his elder sister.   Dear Princess Celestia and Luna,   It has indeed been a while princess, much to my personal regret though getting used to my wings is coming along slowly, I have been training with Rainbow Dash though I am embarrassed to admit that little Scootaloo is still a better flier than me at this point in time.   Even though there has been more than one embarrassing situation. I have indeed as you had guessed been trying to read up on what being a princess means but alas to no avail there seems to be no books about the subject out there! Which is something that should be corrected, even if I have to personally author such a work?   But that is not why I am writing you, I would like to accept your offer, and will be coming to Canterlot this weekend. It would indeed be lovely to see you and Princess Luna once more. I must admit I have missed the both of you, especially your lessons Princess.   Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle   Twilight nodded her satisfaction as her number one assistant signed it with her name; she stretched herself with a small yawn. Her wings spreading to their full span as she slumped back into the chair, listening to Spike reciting the letter back to her before rolling it up and sealing it.   Spike took a deep breath and engulfed the parchment with a torrent of emerald dragon’s fire, its ashes blowing out of the window on the winds of draconic magic. “Sent, what now Twilight?”   "Good, I am going to rest Spike. You're in charge for the day" She informed her little brother as she kissed the drake on his cheek tenderly. Her free hand softly patted him over his head, before slowly trotting up the stairs to her bedroom. "No parties while I am sleeping." She said, jokingly.   ***   Princess Celestia let out a small content sigh as she allowed herself to fall back in her desk chair, her eyes half lidded as she held the steaming cup of tea close to her chest. She was taking in the rich herbal scent of her beverage as well as its warmth. It was early in the morning she had just raised her Sun and finally sent her and Luna’s letter to Twilight. Slowly she eyed the sleeping form of her younger sister, nestled in between the pillows on her bed, coaxing a small chuckle of the Solar Princess. The dark blue haired princess of the night had been so excited when she found out Celestia planned to invite her faithful student over for lessons in being a princess. Luna had practically been bouncing like a young filly that was offered candy for the first time in weeks. The elder Alicorn stood up, levitating her full cup of tea in her brilliant white magical aura, hands slowly straightening the simple gold trimmed cream coloured gown. As she passes the mirror she took a moment to admire herself, flashing a little smile as she examined her outfit for the day, she had chosen something more traditional for a princess of Equestria, although many of the her nobles could see it as being risqué as it showed off a generous amount of flesh. Princess Celestia was not vain in anyway, but she was a little proud of how the thin white dress hugged her hourglass figure, bringing attention to her curves. It had a modestly cut V-neck showing off a tasteful amount of cleavage, but not excessively so. As always her outfit was finished by her golden crown and the Sun medallion she wore as her badge of office. She was pulled from admiring the handiwork of her personal tailor though as a puff of green smoke entered through the open window, materialising in a letter on the surface of her ancient oaken desk. She allowed herself a fond smile as she took it in one hand, using one of her long ivory white nails top break the wax seal that held twilight’s cutie mark. Reading the letter with a fond smile, she glanced to her sister whispering softly “I am sure Lulu will like it that you are coming in two days.” Slowly she rolled up the letter and levitated it besides her sister with a small chuckle she put down her cup on the trolley that the maid had left with her breakfast and then slipped out of her room silently to allow Luna her sleep. Nodding at the guards that stood watch at her door, the Princess offered them a radiant and truthfully joyous smile. "Good morning, Moonshadow and Starsong," she greeted the two, causing them both to start a little at the cheery tone in contrast to her usual graceful and soft spoken way of addressing them. “Good morning, your majesty” The platinum blond and silver haired Unicorn guard said with a small smile of her own. While the strawberry blond haired Pegasus mare remained silent. They both followed Princess Celestia, staying one step to her side and two steps behind her as they had been taught at the royal guard academy. "Did you receive good news princess?" Starsong, the platinum blond and silver haired mare asked, daringly as they walked through the mostly empty halls, the only sound present on the serene morning being the soft clattering of their armour, and the tapping of Celestia’s heels on the floor. “Yes indeed, very good news in fact!” She replied with a warm fondness in her voice, glancing over at Starsong with a motherly smile set on her lips, “My faithful student is coming to visit this weekend.” Starsong nodded gently with a small smile “That is good to hear princess, she has been missed by many I must admit, Shall I make arrangements for her old tower to be made ready?” she offered helpfully, and smiled brightly as Celestia nodded her consent. Starsong gently pushed open the doors to the throne room with her magic and allowed the Princess to walk in, as she and Moonshadow stood followed her and flanked her throne on either side. Taking a deep breath Celestia approached the already waiting assembly of dignitaries, and nobles that came to appeal to her day court. “Good morning my little ponies.” Celestia said in her signature gentle motherly way, holding up a hand to prevent them from bowing to her. > Chapter one: The Arrival > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Heavenly waltz of the sky, inspires the ones who see. All the hearts beat as one in harmony. Faithfully, side by side, the blood that bonds us deep May we live and love in Unity.” - Autumn Delight: Harmony. CHAPTER ONE The Arrival The week had passed with stunning speed; it had been a calm and gentle summer week with no earth shattering disasters, no long lost deities returning from their imprisonment, all was normal for once. That is to say normal relative to the standards of Ponyville where every other day a particularly well liked pink and puffy haired girl hosted notoriously wild parties for the most insignificant of things; or where three seemingly innocent little girls caused chaos that would make Discord weep in pride, in their quest to earn their cutie marks. It was a perfect summer's day, clear blue skies the birds chirping their delicate summer song giving the village a serene and delightful atmosphere. Dawn has just passed and Celestia's sun radiated gentle warmth making the promise of a perfect though hot summer day. The village was already bustling with activity, as every pony prepared for the day to come, fillies already crowded the streets playing their games promising a calm and perfect day. A nervous yet happy grin crested Twilight's lips as she stood just outside of the tree library that was her home, her left hand softly gripping a small violet bag she had slung over her left shoulder. She took a moment to inspect her own reflection in one of the library's windows, her hair was neatly tied back in a ponytail and a pair of slim glasses rested on her nose. Her feathery lilac wings were settled in a resting position on her back, she gently patted down the simple navy blue top and the matching long pleated skirt that reached to her ankles, leaving just enough exposed to show off her simple black boots making her the clean image of a proper and diligent student, pleased, she gave a nod of approval at her own appearance. Turning around she could already see the golden glimmer of a chariot far off in the distance. She had wanted to protest against being picked up with chariot, but had thought that such might seem like a rude gesture towards Princess Celestia. As the chariot approached being pulled by two white coated Pegasus guards, it was hard for Twilight to contain her excitement as her lilac wings were urging to flutter and flex. It would be a bold lie to say that Twilight Sparkle was not looking forwards to studying not just under Celestia, but under both elder Alicorns. What would the lessons of being a Princess consist of? Would I be required to hold court... could I even do that? What if I messed it up? I could start a war! She thought to herself, the newly minted Princess lost herself in the endless ocean of what if scenarios. The next wilder scenario out doing the previous as they entered her mind leaving her stood there in front of the library lost in the proverbial sea that was her mind. That is to say until she was snapped back to reality by a soft gentle but firm proud voice, breaking her away from the cyclical thought pattern that threatened to spiral out of control. "Princess Sparkle?" The sergeant asked in a slightly careful tone, a worried look in his eyes as he stood before the Princess with him were three other royal guards they bowed before her as they finally caught her attention. How long was I lost in thought? I... should break that habit. She thought to herself, her cheeks growing a little hot as she noticed the four guards bowing and remaining lowered. "P-please, there is no need to bow!" she squeaked out in what sounded like panic still not used to anyone treating her like royalty. Twilight slowly approached the chariot, bowing her head in thanks to one of the guards that offered Twilight his hand to aid with climbing up. Her lips still set in that nervous but happy smile as she settled herself comfortably on the pillows placing down her bag in the small rack. The Princess took in a sharp breath as she felt the chariot leaving the ground at a startling speed, being unused to travelling by royal chariot she grasped for the soft velvet cushions allowing herself to be carried towards Canterlot. She slowly allowed herself to relax against the velvety pillows of the chariot that carried her high above the landscape. Flying was still new to her even though she was able to fly using her own wings now, but it still left Twilight awestruck being this high up in the air. Staring at the castle that loomed in the distance Twilight noted how deceptively close it looked while in fact it was a good two hour flight. It'll be good to see Princess Celestia and Luna once more. It has been far too long since I have seen them. she thought to herself, closing her eyes to enjoy the wind blowing through her dark blue hair, allowing it to caress her pale skin and sweep past her glasses. "This is going to be the best weeke- No... Not that, this is going to be an interesting weekend." She said softly, correcting herself, noting at how calling something the best thing ever was still tarnished after the Grand Galloping Gala. Twilight lay back onto the pillows in her chariot, letting out a small wishful sigh as took in the sight of the land passing by far below her. That is until her eyes fell on a particular rainbow maned Pegasus reclined on a cloud, panting slightly out of breath. "Dash, is that you?" Twilight called out. "What, Twilight?" Dash questioned leaping off the cloud flying herself closer to Twilight with her signature, cocky grin. "So where are you off to then?" Dash tilted her head just a little. "Canterlot? You know Princess Celestia and Luna asked me over? I told you this three times Dash..." Twilight sighed. "Oh right! Sorry I'd totally forgotten about that..." she said rubbing the back of her head with an awkward smile. Dash opened her mouth to say something, though she found herself distracted by a streak of fire moving through the sky in the air. Approaching them at a rather alarming pace to be more accurate. "What the..." she managed to say, her eyes going wide with as realisation dawned on her, there was only one Pegasus she knew that could move at that kind of speeds. Her suspicions were confirmed as the pony in question drew closer, allowing them to make out her signature blue aviator jacket and goggles. Her orange medium length orange hair pulled back from the resistance. "Is that..." Twilight started, her gaze moving towards dash. "S-Spitfire..." Dash replied, trying to suppress the squeal that she could just feel forming. As she drew closer she finally slowed down, though unable to stop herself from showing off just a little with a free fall to get on the same height with Dash and the Princess. "Princess, Dash." She nodded in greeting, her smile wasn't as cocky as one would expect from the Wonderbolts Commander. "Hello Commander," Twilight said, offering her a pillow on the chariot. "Oh, no thank you Princess. I’m in a hurry. Dash Blaze and Fleetfoot had an accident, you're one of the reserves that has been picked to replace them." She said her voice was like honey, yet within her tone ran a vein of steel giving her a confident and strong presence. "Report to Sergeant Soarin in the barracks on the double." Rainbow dash saluted her "yes ma'am." She said looking at Twilight with a small smile "I'll catch you later in Canterlot then?" Twilight only nodded, gently motioning for her to go. "Yes Rainbow, you will." *** There was a collective exasperated sigh from the guards that lined the walls in the room, although if anyone noticed they gave no outward appearance of that. The Canterlot castle throne room was a rather humble place, the walls white marble and the pillars had a spiralling pattern with golden paint. At both sides of the golden throne hung three banners the left one; from the viewer’s perspective would be Celestia's coat of arms, the cutie mark known by all of Equestria and beyond. To the right hung a banner of midnight blue, dominated by the cutie mark of the nocturnal Princess. The third and last banner that hung central behind, and slightly above the throne was the flag of Equestria it's self. From the entrance to the throne ran a plush red carpet, covering the rather simple white stone floors, the windows were the awe inspiring, and breath-taking stained glass windows, showing the history of Equestria, up to the Ascension of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Currently a blond Unicorn with a white suit was giving a presentation to the Princess, using a fancy laser pointer to indicate things on the charts. The pointer was fancy in that it projected a solid beam rather than created a simple dot as most did. "And so you see Princess Celestia, it would be both a profitable venture for the crown and a definite increase in Morale for the common folk." The blond maned unicorn said, a laser pointer in the grip of his pale blue magical aura, indicating various pie charts that were meant to illustrate the profit that could be made and to anyone who has not studied mathematics it would indeed look like a good venture. Although anypony who had their math degree could see it was all smoke and mirrors meant to confuse less intellectual ponies. He offered the Solar Deity a hopeful smile as his presentation came to an end almost an hour after it had begun. "What do you think, your highness?" Blueblood finished tucking the laser pointer behind his ear with a cocky grin, patting down the white suit he wore, as if he just finished some intensive labour. The Princess sat upon her throne, the perfect image of gentle motherly love and sweet caring kindness; although saying her exterior composure wasn't forced would be a gross exaggeration, if not an outright lie. Internally Celestia was seething at the preposterous thing her nephew was proposing to her, not to even start about the insult to every pony's intellect that were the charts.  So now he wants the funds to build a giant statue of himself... that could function as an apartment complex. She thought to herself, letting forth a small sigh before speaking "I will take it into consideration, Lord Blueblood. Thank you." She gave him a gentle, and what looked to be earnest smile. For wasting an hour of my life, she thought to herself. The pompous noble bowed deeply, and sent a particularly annoyed look at his assistant that had the servant scrambling to carry the charts out of the room. Blueblood took his leave soon after in a rather timely manner, clearly finding it not fitting for someone of his status to waste more time than needed, though he burst into a full sprint as he drew near to the door as if able to feel the Princess' scorching glare threatening to burn holes into his new suit. As he burst into the hallway there was the tell-tale sound of armour clattering on the ground. Celestia's weary eyes fell onto Starsong with a perhaps slightly pleading look to them, taking a slowly breath she whispered, "Please, my little pony tell me that my buffoon of a cousin was the last for today?" Unable to hide the slight tone of desperation that seeped into her voice, though not really trying to hide it away from the Sergeant of her personal guard. "Fortunately he was, Princess. If you would be so kind, may I speak freely?" Starsong looked at the Princess holding the day's schedule pressed to her chest, standing at attention besides the golden throne, her eyes meeting Celestia's, taking her small nod as permission. "Why do you entertain, or even tolerate his foolish ideas? Would it not be more productive to have someone inspect his ideas beforehand?" The solar goddess took a moment before finally replying with a small grin on her slightly pink painted lips, she flexed her wings as she stood up with a small chuckle before finally offering her reply "Perhaps it would, my little pony, but what would be the fun in that? It is much more enjoyable to watch him run off." Celestia walked down the steps of her throne slowly, her heels making very soft dainty taps on the plush carpet as she approached the smaller side door that exited the throne room. "And... I couldn't put anyone else through his nonsense. That would be far too cruel." The blond guardswoman nodded ever so slightly as she followed her Princess, clipboard under her arm, hand casually resting on the gilded pommel of her short sword. She walked one step to the Princess' left and two steps behind her while she pondered her Princess' words over in her mind. "I see your Majesty, and I can understand that choice. With his attitude we would need a new attendant every week... Regardless of 'prince' Blueblood the rest of your afternoon is clear," She said, with a gentle nod to her own words, unable to help but smile as she watched her Princess' smile grow. "Good, or rather excellent Starsong; please ensure that I am not disturbed by anypony," she said with a tender smile glancing at the first sergeant with her signature, genuine motherly smile "it would mean the world to me; I wish to spend as much time with Twilight as possible today." Walking at a brisk pace towards the castle's observatory. Celestia carried her eternal gentle loving smile on her lips constantly as she walked with Starsong in tow. "If you wish Starsong, You may go take the afternoon off." "Are you sure Pr-" she asked carefully. "Please, just Celestia when in private, you have earned that right more than once in the past years my dear." Celestia interrupted her personal guard, though she carried a small coy smile as she glanced over her shoulder. Using her magic she gently pulled the woman ahead just a little so they walked side by side. "Pri... Celestia, please not while in public, think of the rumours!" she protested, although it was quite weakly as she glanced around for a moment before finally meeting the solar goddess' with a shy smile of her own "Fine, you win." She whispered in a slightly pouty tone of voice. Celestia chuckled ever so gently as she allowed the tip of her wing to brush past the blond haired woman's cheek, although rather convincingly making it appear as an accident. With a small wink at her "I know you dislike not being joined at the hip under the guise of protocol but... well I have some personal business with my dear sister." The Princess offered Starsong a loving motherly smile while softly patting her on the back. Walking ahead without her guard Celestia looked over her shoulder "take an afternoon off Starsong, if any mare in my personal house guard has earned it is you." She said disappearing around the corner on her way to the observatory leaving the blond mare alone. "Oh, and I will be seeing you later, right?" she said, her head poking from around the corner winking at the blond guard. *** The observatory had most ponies confused at first, considering that Canterlot castle would be, and infarct is the worst place for a traditional observatory. This one however was special, created in honour of the return of Princess Luna, commissioned by her sister as in part a welcome home present, and an apology present. The tower had been built ages ago in preparation for Luna's return, though the observatory at the top was a more recent renovation that had been completed a year after Luna's return. The dome at the top did not house a telescope, nor did it have windows of any kind. Instead it was enchanted to emulate the night sky on the inside, allowing those few privileged enough to enter it the clearest view of the heavenly bodies that was possible without visiting them The room itself was dark, pitch black actually, save for the tiny bit of illumination created by the stars, although it was barely enough to actually see where one was going. The floor, walls and dome shaped roof were all black as a result of the stargazing spell, created long ago by a great unicorn Conjurer. On the surfaces of the walls and domed ceiling were the constellations. The celestial patterns tracing across all of the surfaces, reflecting the night sky with impossible accuracy. Papers lay scattered across the floor, along with large open tomes and several large pillows. In the middle of it all stood a short woman, midnight blue haired woman, dressed in rather simple clothing a thin loose fitting black top that fell just over her shoulders, revealing the razor cut, navy blue tank top she wore below it, she wore a pair of baggy shorts that fell to just below her thighs. Magenta white striped socks finished her look off. Her small delicate hands were raised on high as she moved and manipulated the newly formed stars, creating indicate patterns forming what looked to be new constellations. The pale girl smiled brightly as she adoringly eyes the shape of her current little project; it was something she had been working on for a long time now in her mind. To say Luna was not overjoyed at being finally able to implement the new constellation would be a bold lie, the Princess illuminated her horn in the azure glow of her magic as she made the shape a permanent addition to the night sky, the winds of magic blowing through the room scattering the notes and flipping pages in the scattered books, illuminating strands of her hair as they blew in every which way on the whims of the magical winds. Princess Luna hummed softly to herself; a happy smile crested her purple tinted lips. She'd taken the time to wake herself up after taking an afternoon nap. She was not used to being up during the day, as she was almost completely nocturnal. The nap has ensured she'd be well rested for this rather taxing spell, allowing the powerful magic to slowly ebb away, leaving her in the room to admire the shapes that were the elements of harmony's cutie marks, small and subtle just the way she liked it. Luna grinned broadly, a flawless victory for the Princess of the Night, she thought to herself. Her body was surrounded by a dark deep blue aura, the remnant power of her spell radiating from her in a gentle graceful manner, unlike the force and scorching heat of her sisters Solar magic. Moonlight magic was cool and gentle like the wind upon a warm summer's night. As the radiance finally faded it left behind an out of breath Alicorn Princess, who slumped down onto one of the pillows in the room with a gentle `oomph` as the sudden impact her rump made with the soft material knocked some of the wind out of her. She sat there admiring her own work with the most fond of smiles. "It is perfect" she said, to no one in particular. The Lunar Princess allowed herself to curl up on the pillows, her eyes drifting closed as she lay there, breathing heavily in magical exhaustion. A small nap wouldn't hurt... she thought, excusing her for taking another nap so soon. She allowed herself to drift away to sleep, a peaceful smile creeping onto her lips as she lay there on the pillow. Slowly Luna left her physical body behind in the waking world to recharge its magical energies. While her continuousness drifted away to her plane of existence, or rather the realm of dreams as most would likely call it. The plane itself was simple a dark space of nothingness except for a small pool of illuminating waters. She sat down, conjuring up a large blue pillow to recline on, which she rather eagerly did with an almost childlike giggle. Luna had been coming here ever since she was a little filly, after her Father had taught her the art of Dream Walking, only she could access this place now though she'd spent time on this plane to amuse herself without the limitations of the material world. Unlike Equestria, her plane was connected to all dreams, and worked similarly to them she only needed to will something into existence. Along with the pillow a pot of ink and some blank sheets of paper appeared in front of Luna. On the piece of paper she found the lesson plan that she had been drafting in her mind for the Princess of friendship. She had decided against keeping a physical copy of her lesson plan after Celestia's detailed and colourful recounting of how she had caught Twilight Sparkle red handed in attempting to get ahead of her schedule by stealing the lesson plan. Luna had to admit it surprised her greatly that Twilight of all ponies would do such a thing. Her eyes slowly moved over the written words as she sighed gently she is Twilight even ready for all this... I mean she is a gifted and studious woman but... having her hold court so early sister? Is that truly such a good plan Luna thought to herself, worry written on her face. Then again, it might be adorable to see her panicking, oh yes that'd be delightful watching her squirm and try her best as her cheeks turn that lovely rosy hue... Luna thought, feeling the heat building on her cheeks as she looked around instinctively to make sure she was alone. Luna giggled as she imagined the bookish Princess in a multitude of awkward situations, Twilight desperately trying to control her wings in the moment of panic. Luna's cheeks burned slightly as her thoughts took a rather different and unexpected turn, she could feel the heat bailing between her legs. She firmly shook her head to drive those alluring thoughts away, though the attempt was in vain as moments later she could see it before her, Twilight sitting on the throne looking at her with those deep expressive eyes over the rim of her glasses; causing Luna's heart to flutter as she felt small before the young Alicorn. Luna whined softly as she noticed her wings were fluttering of their own accord, in a struggle to stand rigid, and return to a resting position.  Luna's eyes closed as she heard the sound of two oak double doors being opened and closed, with a small sigh she returned to her resting body, her eyes opened slowly as she looked into the direction of the door. Seeing her sister's pale skinned from, dressed in her rather elegant white robes. "Very impressive Lulu, I knew you were working on a gift for the elements of Harmony for a long time now but this is absolutely breath-taking." Celestia smiled gently as she approached her sister, arching her eyebrow for a moment "Were you... sleeping?" "We were most certainly not Tia!" she snapped defensively. Celestia smiled at her little sister and bridged the gap between them with a mighty flap of her wings, assaulting the Princess of the night in a sisterly tackle hug, making sure they both landed on the pillows. "There is no shame in having to rest oneself after a spell as such Lulu." She giggled softly ruffling the smaller Princess' hair. Luna let out a small sigh as she poked her finger against her sister's nose, offering her a small sheepish smile as she lay besides Celestia. "She's going to be arriving soon." Luna mumbled, "I can't wait." "Do you mean you can't wait to hold her in your arms?" Celestia said, offering Luna a teasing wink. "Sister, hast thou been reading our diary again!?" Luna demanded, though her words kept a playfully edge to them, which did little to hide the faintest hint of actual offence at the idea. "Lulu, I did not read your diary, I swear by mother's grace I did not. You were mumbling her name in your meditative state. Quite amorously I might add, sister dearest. It's not hard putting one and one together from there on." Celestia said, running her hand through her silky mane, offering Luna a loving sisterly smile, watching as a blush slowly started creeping along Luna's pale cheeks. Luna let out a small little sigh as she looked up at her elder sister, a small smile playing on the solar Princess' lips. A sigh of resignation passing her lips upon realising she could not hide it from her elder sister any longer, or perhaps it was a sigh of relief at the fact she did not have to go through the effort anymore "Very well, we- that is to say I, have strong feelings for her yes." She admitted with a small out. "But do not say or do anything, I wish to handle this my way." Luna looked down at her feet in embarrassment. "Ever since the first nightmare night after my return if I am to be completely honest about it all." Celestia offered her a fond smile as she gently pulled her close to herself, eyes narrowing just a little as soft white wings wrapped around her; just as she used to all those years ago when Luna was still a child. "I am so happy for you Sister, that you have found someone you have feelings for I was getting worried to be quite honest." "T-thank you Tia" Luna said, nuzzling herself against Celestia's form arms wrapped around her shoulders in the tight sisterly embrace. The embrace was short lived though as one of Luna's night guards entered the room, bowing down to one knee besides the two Princesses. "Mistress Luna, Your Radiance, Twilight Sparkle's arrival to the palace is imminent." He said in a stoic tone, his eyes cast down not daring to look up at the Princesses. "Thank you Stormreaver. You may leave us." Luna replied a small smile on her lips as she slowly drew back from Celestia's embrace, giving her big sister a small nod. "Come we should get ready to greet Twilight, And I still need to change I feel this might be a bit too casual to trot around the castle in." She chuckled lightly at her own comment, though a genuine concern audible in her soft voice. "Not to mention... what would she think of me dressed as this!?" "Yes... and to be honest, I doubt she would mind your outfit Lulu, though I should change too, we cannot welcome our student looking like this I will meet you there." Celestia said with a gentle smile as she slowly stood up, taking Luna's hand to help her stand with a gentle pull. Casting a last glance at the stars she smirked at her little sister. "Are you going to reveal this tonight?" she asked with a wink. "Perhaps, we shall see if the mood is right." She nodded gently, turning away to dash for her room coaxing a giggle from Celestia. *** The sun had reached its zenith signalling midday in the land of Equestria, its gentle warmth flooding the streets of Canterlot showering its inhabitants in gentle loving warmth. As her chariot landed on the small landing pad that protruded from the castle's southernmost tower.  Twilight could already make out the shapes of Luna and Celestia awaiting her arrival, the former was jumping up and down waving in excitement which coaxed a small giggle from the Princess of Friendship. Celestia offered a gentle motherly smile as she carried herself in a more mature and dignified manner than her younger sibling was, though it took her some effort to bite back the chuckle as she watched Luna's antics from the corner of her eye. A small sigh escaped the Solar Alicorns lips as Luna was displaying enough glee for the both of them. In truth Celestia felt about the same amount of happiness to see her former pupil once more. The chariot began its descent rather slowly, and at first Twilight was already shifting towards the side, though as it landed upon the stone platform Twilight grabbed on for dear life as their landing was quite a bit bumpier than she had anticipated. She slowly started to climb out of the chariot her bag sling over her shoulder. Luna in her excitement charged at Twilight barely allowing her a moment to set a foot on the grey stone surface of the before enveloping the youngest of the four Princesses in a tight embrace "Twilight! Goodness I have missed thee so much." Luna exclaimed in her excitement. "I have missed you too Princess." Twilight replied a little surprised by the sudden embrace, but melting into it with a fond smile, her arms gently folding around the small of Luna's back in a friendly embrace. Her eyes moved to her mentor and surrogate mother with a fond smile as she slowly tried to draw away from Luna's embrace. "Twilight Sparkle!  It hath been far too long since we hast seen one another! I desire to know, hast thou hadst a pleasant journey?" The Lunar Princess asked, her eyes glowing with joy at seeing her friend again. Twilight arched her eyebrow a notch as she looked down at the lunar Princess who walked besides her as she approached Celestia for a briefer embrace, smiling warmly at her former mentor. Twilight noted to herself that Luna and Celestia were both wearing a very similar dress, though Luna's was shades of blue and silver while Celestia's was shades of alabaster and gold. The garments were rather simple airy dresses with a side-slit showing off the Princesses legs as they walked, the top ended in a halter neck leaving their shoulders exposed offering a modest amount of skin, though not a scandalous amount of it. The sleeves of the dresses were held in place by a rather simple spell that was woven into the enchanted cloth. The outfit was finished off by incorporating the Sister's royal regalia. They both looked ever as regal as Twilight had remembered, though as she took in their outfits, Luna's in particular a thought crossed her mind which caused her to blush faintly She... looks so beautiful. It took a moment to notice that she'd been gawking at them both and brought herself back to reality with a shake of her head. "Y-yes Luna, the Trip over was lovely!” She replied with a small smile on her lips. Celestia offered one of her radiant motherly smiles to Twilight, embracing both her and Luna as she nuzzled her cheek fondly; much like a mother would to a daughter she had not seen in months. "Twilight, it is good to see you again, my faithful student." She nodded ever so gently after taking a step backwards. "Come Twilight, you must be hungry after your flight. I've had the staff prepare tea and some sandwiches for us to enjoy as we talk." Celestia said with a sweet smile as she turned on her heels to head back inside. "That sounds Lovely Princess." Twilight said as she followed Celestia with Luna to her left who was smiling quite eagerly, a small rumble of her stomach apparent to the younger Alicorn; apparently Twilight wasn't the only one that was hungry right now. "Please Twilight, Just Celestia is fine" Celestia said, glancing over her shoulder at Twilight with a gentle smile. "I must admit, I was so eager to see you both that I forgot breakfast this morning..." Twilight blushed faintly as she looked down at her feet, speaking with a slightly embarrassed smile on her lips. The statement earned her a small tsk from the Princess that walked besides her, Luna didn't make a comment though the look in her eyes told Twilight all she needed to know. It was the kind of look that conveyed the message `you should take care of yourself better young lady`, the kind of look her mother had given her many a time after a night's worth of studying without sleep. They walked through the maze like castle in relative silence, although occasionally Luna would ask a question, about what Twilight had been doing the past few months or how one her friends were doing and Twilight would answer the question in perhaps her typical amount detail and enthusiasm for the Princess of friendship that is. It was quite a walk through the castle, and along the way they encountered various members of the staff or guard who would either bow or salute them, to Celestia's eternal annoyance, not that anyone but Twilight of Luna could notice said annoyance, one needed to know what to look for in the Solar Princess to view past her usual facade. Finally though they arrived at the smaller of the dining rooms, the private one Luna and Celestia used, when not having to entertain guest that weren't as close as Twilight. Pushing open the large double doors the Celestia revealed a room Twilight was unfamiliar with; it was tastefully decorated with a small oaken table in the centre with six pillows placed around it. In the back was an unlit fireplace, the walls were decorated with scrolls of poetry and there were even some plants placed around the room. The room was lit by the sunlight flooding in through the large stained glass window, by the position of the window the room would likely always be lit by the sun or the moon. The table housed an ancient looking tea set, along with a plate filled with various kinds of sandwiches for them to enjoy. "Welcome to our private meeting room, Twilight. This is a part of the castle not many get to see." Celestia said, taking off her high heels before entering the room to take a seat on one of the large fluffy pillows. The studious Alicorn flexed her wings a little before she followed Celestia's example, taking off her shoes before entering to sit across from her mentor, smiling warmly, her eyes scanning the room in particular the poetry that hung from the wall. "It is, tranquil here Prince- Celestia" she said quickly correcting herself this time. This... is going to be difficult you get used to, she thought to herself, pulling her legs to one side sitting on her pillow in a relaxed position. "May I ask who wrote the poetry?" She nodded towards the scrolls on the wall with a gentle smile, a curious glint in her amethyst eyes. Luna chuckled softly, trying to hold herself back taking a seat beside Twilight, subtly pushing her pillow a little closer before speaking up, "You're sitting across from the bard in question, Twilight Sparkle." The comment coaxed a blush from the solar Princess who gave an awkward smile in response to Luna's words. "She was quite the poet in her youth!" Luna added, grinning over at her sister a mischievous glint in her eyes. The Lunar Princess leaned in close to Twilight and started to whisper softly "She's sensitive about it... poor thing thinks she's not skilled at it." The whisper was just audible enough for Celestia to overhear it causing her to blush even deepen even further. "Lulu! Stop that, it is not appropriate." Celestia objected to her sister's teasing antics, her eyes narrowed into what was supposed to be an intimidating glare, though All the response that she got was a set of giggles by her student and Sister, Luna fell back onto the soft pillow, unable to form any sentences at all she mumbled about Celestia's look being priceless though other than that there was not much being said that made any semblance of sense. In the middle of it sat Twilight, a stunned look on her face at the informality the two Alicorn sisters displayed towards one another in that moment; realisation dawned upon Twilight that the two Alicorns weren't untouchable goddesses as the general public made them out to be. They are plain, normal sisters she thought to herself, a large smile forming her lips looking between the two. Twilight had to admit it wasn't unwelcome at all; it made her feel quite humbled and special that she was allowed to see Luna and Celestia be actual sisters with their own sibling banter going on. It made her feel closer to the two of them. The thought of being this close to them caused her to chuckle gently, her cheeks flushing ever so slightly as she managed to retain her balance unlike the Princess of the Night, although it did not last long as she noticed the two Princesses looking at her entirely baffled by her response to their actions. "S-sorry P- Celestia, Luna I was not laughing at you... it is just adorable to watch you both behave like actual sisters." This time it was the Luna and Celestia's turn to laugh, realising just how silly and childish they must have looked to Twilight. The three Princesses shared the laughter this time, all formalities seemingly having been left at the door. "The credit can't all be handed to me though; some of the poetry here was done by Lulu here." Celestia admitted with a small wink at her Sister. "And some of it was done by my Bard as a gift." "You have a bard?" Twilight asked arching her eyebrow for a moment, surprised she had not heard about this pony before. "Oh yes, a recent addition to the staff, a charming girl I have to admit and very talented." Celestia said nodding ever so gently, thinking back to the competition she had hosted a week or two back now. Luna nodded gently "Indeed Twilight you should meet her later, She earned her position as royal bard by being the best in a competition Sister dearest set up." Luna explained. A few hours of casual talking passed, as the sun travelled through the sky, showing the end of the day drawing ever closer with each passing minute. The three Princesses had many laughs and giggles as they discussed their personal lives for the past few months. Eventually though Celestia spoke up with a gentle ring to her voice. "Pleasantries aside though, Twilight there is something I want to give you. Something a Princess should not be without even in the safety of peaceful Equestria." Celestia smiled warmly as she conjured up a package in her hands it was wrapped in a matte black paper and it was cylindrical in shape. Twilight tried to take the present into her telekinetic grip, but her amethyst aura seemed to rebound off of the package causing her to not pick it up, although as she did so she knocked the over one of the empty fine earthen tea cups to her great shock. She sighed in relief witnessing Luna catch it just before it was about to roll off the table and hit the ground "W-what is it Princess?" she asked, shaken by her magic misfiring. Luna chuckled softly nudging Twilight in her side, earning herself a cute little yelp from the girl. "Take it with thy hands and open it Twilight, thee will be shocked, I have no doubt." The Lunar Princess said, nodding at Twilight encouragingly. Twilight did as she was told, taking the package in her hands, she started ripping away the wrapping paper. The first thing she saw was an amethyst inlaid in gold, then a deep almost black purple shaft of wood with a constellation pattern on its entire length. She gasped loudly as the last piece of paper tore away to reveal the simple six pointed magic star that represented her cutie mark. Inspecting the object she took it in one hand, "Celestia is this... a magic focus?" She asked softly, her emotions quite mixed as she held the object in her hand, allowing it to attune to her magical resonance by allowing a small bit of her magenta magical aura to seep into the focus. "It... this much have cost a small fortune Princess..." she whispered softly. "It's not any focus, Twilight," Celestia stated as she noticed her student's ponderous look. "It's shaft was... created by Starswirl the bearded himself during his prime; he had meant it to be for my daughter..." she started looking at the youngest Princess for a moment before continuing with a glimmer of pride in her voice, "You're the closest thing I have as a Daughter Twilight and I want you to have it."  "C-Celestia, it... it is too much I... I couldn't" Twilight stammered in disbelief as she looked up at the Princess of the sun, before fading out of existence only to reappear besides Celestia throwing herself at the solar Deity, pulling her in a thought embrace. "I... have not words Celestia, thank you this... this means allot..." Celestia curled her lips into a loving smile as she gently embraced the girl she saw as her daughter close to herself, very gently kissing her on the crown of her head. "It is my pleasure Twilight." "It has taken one year and four months to create the focusing crystals alone. That includes the enhancements that have been put upon it to. As to why, well it is Traditions my dear Twilight. Our mother had one and so do we each have one... although ours are shaped like bladed weapons, as it was a different time" Luna said, smiling warmly at Twilight. "Yes, and we did not want to deprive you of a new form of magic that is associated with a focus, a thing only Alicorns are able to wield, although I think you could have as well when you were still a Unicorn." Celestia said with a gentle smile slowly pulling away from her surrogate daughter. Allowing Twilight to teleport back to her pillow. "Add to that that was a guilty pleasure for Starswirl." Luna chimed in to the conversation, once more nudging Twilight's sides to earn just another cute squeak from the mesmerised Princess of Friendship, resisting the urges to play her fellow Princess like an instrument by tickling her. "He was rather well known for it in his time, although historians seemed to have not done his prowess justice, my dear Twilight." Twilight's eyes went wide as she leaned in a little closer to Luna. Her look left no doubt that she was buying the story hook, line and sinker, not seeming to care if it was truth or a fabrication of the Night Princess. "Teach me! Please please please!" She eagerly pleaded, her free hand grabbing one of the Lunar Deities, coaxing a chuckle from Celestia's side of the table. "Yes, really my faithful student. He was on par with me; he gave Luna a thorough spanking in her day! Although she needed to learn some humility" She said, giving a slow nod as she recited the fact about her little sister in a rather carefree manner, ignoring the foul look she was receiving from her younger sibling. "He did not!" Luna protested with a look of mock offence in her eyes. "Lulu, you know I meant no offence by my statement. It was a jest and you know there is no need to... get angry but he did beat you..." Celestia said, trying to explain herself. Celestia's words though fell on deaf ears as her younger sister stood up and walked out of the room with a frustrated huff saying "Sister we demand a duel with thee! This offence wilt not go unpunished! I will see you in the courtyard tomorrow morning, Sister." Before slamming the doors behind herself. Twilight on the other hand flinched back opening and closing her mouth repeatedly though not uttering a word to stop the two sisters, stunned to silence by the sudden talk of duelling. Celestia sighed, looking to a still stunned Twilight, whose eyes had widened to the diameter of the small tea cup saucers that stood on the table. "Twilight... I am sorry for Luna's behaviour she can be a little temperamental when it comes to this." "I know Pri- Celestia. Luna has a strong sense of honour." The smaller Alicorn said with a sweet smile at her mentor, "I am sure she will be back to normal after cooling down... right? Celestia shook her head and stood up with a surprisingly serene smile on her lips for a woman who was challenged to a duel by her younger sibling. "No Twilight, this is a thing that must happen for her to calm down, worry not though we have never harmed one another." "But..." "No buts my dear, now come it is getting late, and I need to lower the sun plus we could both use some rest." "A-alright Celestia, if you are sure." Twilight nodded, standing up to follow Celestia out of the room, she looked at Celestia unable to help but worry for her mentor’s safety. <<<< To be continued. >>>> > Intermission: Royal Cuddles > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Love is not blind; it's beauty is blinding, just like the spectacle of the rising sun!” - Autumn Delight INTERMISSION ONE Royal Snuggles A small sigh passed Celestia's lips as she walked through the hallway on her way towards the balcony where she and her sister would exchange the day for the night. The Hallway was empty for the most part save for a few of her guards patrolling their respective areas. Shaking her head a little she ascended the stairs up to the western balcony. To her surprise Luna was nowhere to be found, causing a pang of guilt within the Princess' chest, did I... go too far? She thought to herself, eyes downcast as she glanced towards her sun already hanging low in the sky. Reaching out with her magic she allowed it to connect with the bright Celestial object feeling its warmth flowing through her from as she slowly guided it into fully setting. Watching as the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon, and watching her sister's moon slowly rise was a guilty pleasure of hers, a moment of the day that she loved watching with her sister. It felt hollow and bitter though as she stood there alone, with only her worries to keep her company. Celestia was startled for a moment as she felt an arm comfortingly wrap around her waist, her head snapping to her right to chastise the one daring such a bold move, though as her eyes beheld her beloved Starsong, the irritation of being touched so suddenly, so intimately melted away. Her magenta eyes met the Ice blue eyes of her personal guard; slowly filling her with a gentle warmth even as her thin robes pressed against the metal of her lover's armour. Starsong stood there, her embrace tightening slightly in a moment of shock as she noticed the look of irritation in her Princess' eyes, hiding behind her blond and platinum hair. She smiled adoringly up at the ruler of Equestria, her heart fluttering in her chest as she noticed the adoration in Celestia's eyes. "S-sorry Princess, you looked so... forlorn standing there" she whispered softly, using her magic to close the oak doors behind herself, standing on her tiptoes stealing a gentle kiss before Celestia had the time to respond. Slowly the Princess of the day, shifted and wrapped her arms around the small of Starsong's back, a sweet adoring smile creased her lips as she leaned down to slowly envelop the smaller unicorn in a tender kiss, their lips brushing together all too short for either of their liking; Starsong standing on the tips of her toes to follow the Princess as she drew back from the rather chaste kiss. The soft feeling at her exposed arms made her gasp a little as she was enveloped by not only her Princess' arms but also her wings making the young guards woman melt into the embrace with perhaps a slightly goofy smile on her lips, simply seeming content to stare into Celestia's eyes as they stood there bathed in the light of Luna's moon. The embrace lasted a while, time passing slowly in silence, nothing needed to be said Celestia thought, her eyes locked with those deep, expressive icy blue pools. She shifted her weight a little and sat down on the edge, Starsong allowing herself to be moved, or didn't seem to even realise that Celestia had moved them. The gentle romantic embrace was short lived though as they sat on the edge, neither woman registering the slight chill in the evening hair; relishing in the closeness with each other. Starsong looked away from the stars, her eyes focused on Celestia once more as she whispered gently "I love you, my angel." She leaned in to softly kiss Celestia on the lips her hand softly running along Celestia's lower back, grasping at her suddenly as the doors were slammed open. "Prince-" the guard started, though fell silent instantly the moment his eyes beheld one of his own wrapped in the white angelic wings of their Princess, lips inches away from one another. "P-private!? What are..." he started, though his words were cut off as he saw the burning glare radiating from the Princess. "Sergeant, what is the first lesson you were taught about closed doors." Celestia questioned, holding the blond woman in her embrace, a soothing hand playing through her hair; Starsong hid her face, nuzzled into Celestia's neck as the Princess glared at the Sergeant. "T-to knock, your highness..." he said, his voice trembling as her attempted to remain composed under her burning glare.” M-my apologies... I did not mean to offend you." He said softly, his eyes still locked on Starsong with shock. Celestia let out a long drawn out sigh as she stood up, helping Starsong do the same, holding her hand with a firm squeeze. "It's not like we could have kept it hidden forever Starsong," she said with a gently loving tone. "Sergeant not a word to anyone about this I wish to announce this on our own terms, not that of the nobility" she said her expression softening a little as the smaller unicorn woman wrapped her arm around the Princess. "O-of course your majesty," he said "P-Princess Luna wished you to know... she would not be joining for your evening tea." He quickly added as he bowed deeply. "Very well, dismissed" she waved a hand at him dismissively, holding the trembling Starsong close to herself. "Shh... don't be scared it's going to be alright my love," Celestia whispered reassuringly, placing a tender kiss on the woman's nose "I swear this to you, my little star." Starsong nodded gently, seeming to calm down just a little from her lover's reassurance, though she still clung to her tightly seeking the closeness of her from. "C-Celestia Could we go inside?" she asked in a soft and timid tone of voice, her lips softly caressing along the taller woman's collarbone. Celestia chuckled and nodded, her arm wrapped around the small of Starsong's back, sweeping the girl off her feet with a small little grin "hold on" Celestia Cooed softly, taking a breath as she flapped her wings leaping into the air with her lover clinging to her, giggling softly. *** Starsong let out a loud squeak as her lover leapt into the air with her, holding on for dear life, her arms around the Princess' neck her eyes closed for the first few moments. As she slowly opened her eyes she saw Celestia's smiling face, helping away her worries away. "Y-you scared me..." she pouted playfully. Celestia chuckled gently as she made a sudden dive, allowing the two of them to free fall for a couple of seconds before finally, with a snap of her wings sending the two of them upwards towards her tower in the castle; nuzzling and assailing the much younger woman with affectionate little kisses. "Celestia!" she scolded, grabbing onto the other woman much firmer as they dropped, whimpering in fear, playing just into her lover's hands. Her cheeks turning a shade of scarlet as she was affectionately assailed with nuzzle and kiss. "M-mean..." she protested. With a few more acrobatic manoeuvres to tease Starsong Celestia allowed her to land on the balcony with a soft little giggle, gently placing her most beloved treasure down in front of herself; facing away from the tower so they could take in the few of her country. Wings wrapping around Starsong as she leaned back against Celestia with a small content sigh, neither speaking as they took in the sight. "I... wish I had wings" she softly whispered, looking up at Celestia, nuzzling her neck softly placing a soft kiss on the exposed skin. "There are spells for that my dear, if you want" she said with a soft giggle, gasping softly as she felt the guardswoman pushing her lover into the room with a sweet chuckle; she silenced Celestia's whisper with a rather rough kiss, using the Princess' necklace to pull her in close. It wasn't long before Celestia found herself on her back, laying on the luxurious silk of her bed, her eyes wide in shock at Starsong's rather brazen actions, watching as she used her magic to undo her breastplate while climbing onto the bed to straddle Celestia's lap; although it was a little awkward as she needed to hike up her pristine white robes. She grinned down at Celestia, leaning in to allow their lips to meet in a deep passionate kiss. Celestia still in shock, took a moment to melt into the kiss, her hands trying to grasp the guardswoman, though they found themselves trapped in a restraint spell when did she... she thought to herself, eyes slowly closing as the kiss became more heated their tongues wrestling for dominance, Celestia blushed furiously as she found herself enjoying her sudden probe position. Starsong looked into Celestia's eyes as she pinned her tongue down, and took it between her pearly white teeth giggling softly in enjoyment of the moment. She observed her Princess cackling softly on the tongue before slowly drawing back again with a wink. "Y-you're cute when you blush Celestia, S-sorry just wished to surprise you." She said allowing the magic to dissipate freeing the Princess' arms. "Please don't apologise, I, like surprises like that Starsong." "R-really?" "Yes, now come here." Celestia said, gently pulling her Unicorn lover onto the bed wrapping a wing around the woman's body, her lips softly running along her ear, the tip of her tongue softly teasing Starsong's sensitive earlobes as she breathed out slowly, "Let me, help you out of those robes." Starsong blushed furiously as she felt Celestia's hands working the buttons of her robes, making a popping noise with each of the buttons she undid; she slowly shifted off the bed to her lover's feet, slowly pushing up the robes with a small giddy giggle, her eyes half closed as she took in the sight of Starsong's delicate almost pale marble like pale skin. "So beautiful," Celestia cooed under her breath, flashing a grin as she revealed the woman's simple, pink panties. Starsong protested with a whimper and whine a she was being undressed, Celestia's words causing her to blush deeper than she had ever thought possible, considering for a moment if it was possible to die of embarrassment as your lover undressed you. Though she didn't resist Celestia, there was a part of her that truly loved the Princess' methodical way of doing things. "Ooh a matching bra? Those seems new" she whispered in a soft, more sultry voice as she was now sitting over Starsong, having pushed the robes to her shoulders, letting out a low, breathy moan into her ear. "O-ooh Celestia nooo" She coyly protested, her eyes closed and entire firm writhed on the sheets in embarrassment, trying to cover her panties and bra with her hands. She realised her robes had finished, and were nearly handing from a nearby chair. Celestia smiled as her magic enveloped the dress she wore, teleport the clothing off, and allowing them to fall onto the ground, her lips curling into a playful grin as she pounced the young woman; her hands grasping the girl's wrists pinning her down without magic. Leaning down she softly kissed the girl with a small cute little growl, biting Starsong's neck softly. Starsong whined softly as she struggled against her Princess, eyes half lidded as she bit back a moan. "C-Celestia p-please" She whined softly, looking up pleadingly at her lover icy blue eyes filled with a definite need. Celestia giggles as she looked at her lover with a coy little smirk, "Please what?" she asked playfully keeping most of her body away from Starsong for the moment, giving the girl a good view of her orange lingerie. "P-please come cuddle me, my goddess" she asked, pleadingly. "N'aww, how could I ever refuse?" Celestia giggled as she slowly allowed Starsong's hands to slip away, her eyes closed for a moment as she gently pulled the girl to herself, sighing contently as she feels the guards woman's back pressing against front, murmuring softly as she feels her lover's heat spreading through her, a hand softly caressing along Starsong's belly. "I love you Celestia" "I love you too, my angel" She whispered, a white feathery wing wrapping around the smaller woman, wrapped in Celestia's embrace. > Chapter two: The Duel > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “True love is dancing to a song only heard in the heart.” - Autumn Delight CHAPTER TWO The Duel Of all the places in Canterlot castle, the most unknown to Twilight was the arena on the royal guard training grounds, the large round put that was used in the days of old for physical combat tournaments. The stands were filled, half with Royal Guards, and half with the higher Nobility of Canterlot. There was a murmur from the crowd most of the guards seemed to be discussing something quite passionately, and coin seemed to be passing from guards to a lieutenant. Twilight's eyes slowly moved towards the lunar Princess standing in the middle of the arena, a slight scowl crossing her features as she watched the entrance to the arena, her foot tapping on the hard ground impatiently. The Princess of the Night stood dressed in a simple light outfit that reminded Twilight of gym shorts and a simple top, even though the fabric itself was clearly enchanted. Luna shifted and rested her hands on the two small curved blades, ones that twilight in all honesty had never seen the likes of before. Shaped almost like the crescent moon cutie mark the Princess had, the outfit itself showed a daring amount of skin, and twilight could clearly hear the noble woman present discussing that. Twilight got Startled by a hand being placed on her shoulder, though a gentle voice reassured her, "Twily, are you nervous?" Shining Armour asked his sister, softly squeezing her shoulder reassuringly. She nodded, looking at him for a moment before wrapping him in a sisterly hug, "I... I'm fine BBBFF, just worried about them." She said, softly sighing as she glanced over to Luna once more. "I know Twily; this isn't the first time though" "Not? But... why?" "Well... they enjoy it, I think at least." He said, though looked about as worried as Twilight "I should get down there sis, will you be alright?” "I will be fine Shining." She nodded slowly. "Worried I might humiliate my sister, Captain?" Luna said, glancing over her shoulder as she watched Shining Armour approaching her. She smirked gently at him "Worry not we won't harm each other." "That is more what I am worried about Princess, Celestia and yourself can handle a loss even in public though I rather not see either of you hurt." He said, giving a slight nod in response to Luna. He approached her placing a hand on the smaller woman's shoulder. "You're both capable with a blade, though... I do not know how Twilight will handle seeing you both like this." "It's actually for her; my sister was only teasing me. Though it was a good opportunity to show Twilight the spell we are going to teach her." She nodded, placing her own hand on to his. He ran a hand through his messy blue hair, pushing it out of his face with a little sigh "She's worried." "She needs to learn this is a part of her being a Princess." She smiled a little "And she learns best by example." In the distance she could already see Celestia, dressed in a similar outfit to her personal guard, a simple white robe, with a silvered breastplate on top of the pure white robes. A long sword at her hip as she approached with a distinct pride in her step, Starsong at her side looking at the Princess with a mixture of worry and embarrassment written on her face, she was whispering to her Princess who calmed her with a simple smile. Starsong's expression shifted to a neutral one, even after making eye contact with the sergeant from the last night, her back straight left hand behind her back, and right hand resting on the pommel of her blade. "Princess it's not too late to back out..." she whispered softly, looking shocked as if not having meant to even say that aloud. Celestia didn't reply as she approached her sister, bowing slightly upon entering the Arena, leaving Starsong standing by the entrance. "Sister thee decided to show up!? Art thou ready?" She called out in what else, but her royal shouting voice, sticking to tradition perhaps a little too much. Celestia returned Luna's shout with one of her own something that was definitely out of character for her "Yes, sister dearest. I am ready." Looking at Twilight, Celestia frowned a little, her hand not touching her blade yet, "My faithful student whatever happens do not interfere alright?" Twilight nodded gently as she looked at Celestia and Luna for a long moment, and then to her brother as she heard him call out to everyone gathered. "Gathered mares and gentlecolts." Shining Armour started wrapping an arm around his little sister Twilight, "we've gathered here for a very rare occurrence, a duel between Princess Luna, and her elder sister Princess Celestia; Princess Luna has challenged her sister for her title as superior blade master." He let that sink into the crowd for a moment before continuing "The rules are simple, protective magic will envelop their blades to avoid any real wounds and spells will be dampened in a similar manner. Blows to the head not allowed and neither is flight, anything else goes." "Big brother?" "Yes Twily?" "Is this... normal?" "It doesn't happen often, though mostly they do this in the barracks, in private, with just me and the officers to keep an eye on them." Shining Armour said smiling lovingly at his little sister, ruffling her hair a little with his right hand. "Both of them will be entirely fine my dear sister." "T-thank you," She whispered and leaned against his side, eyes locked on Celestia and Luna. "Begin!" the former captain of the guard announced to Luna and Celestia. Luna drew her blades in a swift, fluid motion staring at her elder sister as a small little grin creeps on her dark painted lips, eyes narrowed in concentration as her blade was enveloped in a cerulean aura. The sharp gleam of the metal vanishing as they became visibly blunt as if it were but practice swords; both her hands wrapped around the hilt of each individual weapon as she took her ready stance. Celestia how ever did not draw her blade, at all. Its scabbard was enveloped in a similar aura signalling it was also affected by the same spell; she raised a hand and motioned at her sibling in a taunting manner passing up the initiative to the lunar Princess. Luna looked apprehensive for a moment, though the chance for getting a free hit in overpowered her more rational senses. Swiftly she charged at her fellow Princess, right handed blade shifting in her grip as she made an overhead slash at her sister's chest area, going for what would normally be a killing blow. Her other blade turned in her grasp, readying to parry the inevitable counter attack. Luna's blade cut through thin air, catching the lunar Princess by surprise, Celestia was nowhere to be seen. At least not in front of Luna, she rematerialised right behind her sister, blade in hand to deliver a stinging slap against Luna's rear with the flat of her blade. The smack of the spank could be heard by all attendants. "Did, losing to Starswirl teach you nothing, sister?" She teased, leaping back out of reach of Luna's blades. Even with not being allowed to fly, she was still allowed to increase her jump distance with her wings. Luna growled in response, spinning and slashing at thin air once more, following her attack up with a leap forwards to Celestia. With blinding speed and accuracy she slapped her blade across her sister's flank, leaving quite the bruise for later. She did her best to recover though it was too late, Celestia had already taken a swing the blade almost striking Luna's throat, were it not that Celestia's blow was parried by a quick reaction from her polar opposite, letting the weapon bounce off harmlessly past her. The lighting quick parry drew a cheer from the amassed crowd. It was clear some seemed to favour the Princess of the Night; breathing steadily she leaped back from her elder sister she started circling the calm and composed Solar deity, stalking around her like a predator looking for a lapse in concentration from her prey. She's too calm. She is planning something. Luna thought to herself. Celestia stood still, that is to say she stood as still as a warrior being circled by her opponent, following the other woman with all her senses, listening for a change in her steps as she was behind her. Registering every little noise created by the rustling of her sister's garments. Her blade already back into its scabbard, her hands at her side fingers moving in what the casual observer would think was nervous twitching; but the casual observer would be dead wrong in their assessment, and clearly lacked any knowledge of the subtleties of silent casting. Princess Twilight Sparkle, was however not a casual observer when it came to magic. Her eyes went wide as she recognised the movements Celestia was making with her fingers, mouthing the words that were meant to accompany the preparation of the spell. "Brother... is she?" Twilight started to ask, but was cut off by her brother's hand covering her mouth, giving her only a nod as response. After a moment, he leaned in to whisper to her, "Yes, though Luna has not noticed of it. She is distracted." Twilight was about to answer, but was interrupted by a loud shout of exertion as Luna set in for another attack. The Lunar Princess charged, aiming her protected blades at her sister's back, her eyes filled with a fierce fury, though her lips were oddly enough curled into a loving smile. The Princess of the Night seemed to be having fun "Igins" Celestia said softly, a force of magic erupting from her form, the air around her burned with the fury of a Sun, bathing everyone in a radiant light warm light. It felt like the embrace of a mother's gentle, warmth, but most of all it felt like safety. Turning, Celestia snap-drew her blade once more while Luna was still dazed by the blast of pure energy. Raising her blade to a low guard, the Solar Princess darted in low while her younger sister staggered on her feet. Luna gasped for breath, not having been prepared in the slightest for such a concussive force to smack into her body, the wind knocked out of her, it had almost taken her balance away at the same time. Staggered and stunned, the lunar Princess managed to remain standing as she tried to catch her breath. She brought both her blades up in defence of herself but not a second later she felt Celestia's blade hit her in the chest in a diagonal slash from shoulder to hip. Shocked by the blow, she was unable to do anything as the Solar Princess's blade came up with a clean flourish, tip pressed lightly to her throat. "Dost thou yield, sister?" "Nay! We doth not yield" Luna protested, knocking Celestia's blade away with her own and took up a more aggressive stance, wings flared and her eyes locked to her sister's. "Have at ye!" She cried, charging forwards once more, one blade to her side, the other aiming a slash at her Sister's wrist. Celestia let out a small sigh as she braced herself, bringing her blade up to parry her sister, only to realise that her sister's charge had been a feint. "Mico" the Lunar Princess said aloud, vanishing from sight for her sister and the crowd, appearing two steps further forwards bypassing her sister's parry stance, and appearing behind her. Lunar magic clashed with solar magic, penetrating through and shattering the magical barrier that that surrounded her sister. She pounced onto Celestia's back and pressed the magically charged blade to her sister's throat making a cutting motion at her sister's delicate skin. That blow, unlike Celestia's, would have been a guaranteed kill, if not for the magic that surrounding the blades. Luna skipped back, wing fluttering, leaving a large red line, on the flawless pale skin of her sister's throat. Celestia dropped to her knees eyes wide as she realised she'd been beaten, her playing around with Luna has left her open. She dropped her blade, looking over at a shocked Starsong. "The winner is Princess Luna of Equestria." Shining Armour announced with a proud tone to his voice, smirking at Twilight a little "Luna did well, Celestia is stronger with magic than her although less talented with the blade." He explained with a gentle smile nudging Twilight towards the Princesses who were embracing each other tightly. Twilight leapt down into the arena, still shocked as she approached both Princesses, Luna helping her sister up, though Celestia still seemed shocked as she stood up leaning on Starsong's shoulder. "I hope you learnt from this Twilight, I expect you to explain how the spells that we used works." She smirked at the smaller Princess, whom eagerly nodded in response, but now for my reward!" "Yes Princess Luna, wait what rewar..." she started, though was cut off rather abruptly as Luna stood on the tips of her toes, pressing her lips against those of Twilight. Twilight didn't make move when Luna kissed her in her excitement. Luna kissed her full on the lips, arms and wings slipping around the newly minted Princess. The kiss was deep and passionate, Luna's tongue caressing along Twilight's lips a little before she pulled away slowly. "What!?’Tis tradition!" The Lunar Princess huffed at the stunned crowd. Tossing back her head she casually walked off with a satisfied smile on her lips, leaving behind a confused crowd, stunned sister, and a deeply blushing Twilight Sparkle whose wings flared up with an audible pomf.  The new Princess trembled on her feet, as if having a massive internal freak out about what had just transpired, but she did a good job not having it aloud. A cocky sway to her hips, Luna whistled a merry tune as she strode into the castle, a massive grin straining against her lips. Perhaps too quick, though well worth it. She thought. *** Hours had passed since Luna had bested her sister for the first time in over a thousand years, it was growing late in the afternoon now, and after a late lunch shared with the two sisters in a somewhat awkward atmosphere after Luna had so publicly kissed Twilight. Luna had set her on tech track of some reading material for her upcoming lessons. As such Twilight found herself in front of the expansive Royal library, its large oak doors with golden trimming stood between her and the vast collection of knowledge that had been gathered over the centuries. Taking a few deep breaths to catch her breath she pushed the doors open with her magic allowing herself to be hit by the scent of dust and old parchment. Most people would be off put by it, though not Twilight Sparkle, to her  it was a soothing and welcoming scent that made her feel safe and comfortable, the only thing that made her feel more comfortable was being with Princess Celestia, and Luna. Princess Luna, Twilight blushed deeply as her mind raced back to what happened only moments after the duel. The feeling of her body against the other Princess held in a tight strangling embrace.  Her lips pressed to those of the other Luna's soft purple painted lips the tingling sensation she felt crawl up her spine in that moment. Twilight's mind spiralled downhill from there as her thoughts conjured up an image of Luna in her mind; pressed against Twilight firmly, wings wrapped firmly around the small of her back as they shared a deep passionate kiss her hands pawing at Luna's shoulders, breathing growing heavier. And as she came back to reality the Twilight was reminded sensation of overwhelming loneliness after the kiss had been broken, it almost enough to bring her to tears as she thought back on it. It took a moment for everything to register properly though when it did she blinked for a moment she didn't know how long she had been standing in the doorway, but considering everyone in the Library was staring at her uncomfortably while knelt down she guessed it was for too long. "P-please rise... there is no need to bow to me" she mumbled softly, to everyone's visible relief. Entering the Library she closed the large oaken doors behind herself as everyone went back to their books or duties. She was approached by a frail looking old lady, who had her wings folded behind herself. Smiling at her Twilight bowed her head as she had done many times as a little girl. "Twilight Sparkle, it has been too long." She started as in formal as ever, laying a hand on the Princess' shoulder with a small grin. "A Princess now and you did not even visit me to let me see" she smirked playfully, taking her hand back folding it around one of the books she held to her chest. She spoke in a happy and kind voice though any form of offence was feigned for the sake of teasing. "I am sorry, I have been meaning to visit though with all that has been going on I have had little time." She said with genuine regret in her voice. It was no secret that Twilight liked the older woman as if she was family. The elderly unicorn had been much a mentor to her as Celestia had been. "I'm here for a reason though I need to find an old book. Something Luna wrote." "Princess Luna? Those are very old, ancient even. But yes we still have her collection" the woman said, leading Twilight to her desk, she walked quickly though he high heeled shoes seemed to almost make no sound as they made contact with the marble floor. "They are kept in the night wing of the Library, although I should caution you, Twilight. Some of those books contain dangerous spells that is why we do not allow anyone in that wing." She nodded gently offering Twilight a large brass key. Twilight accepted the key with a nod, offering the woman a confident smile. "I remember trying to sneak in there as a little girl. Celestia banned me from the Library for a week after that." She chuckled softly with a nostalgic smile. "You had to bring me the books I needed to do my studies..." "As if I could forget, you were so distraught at not being allowed to enter, though as I remember Celestia cut your sentence short." The librarian smirked teasingly. "She said something about sulking and stealing her diary to have something to read?" Twilight blushed deeply as she looked at the floor. "Yes... not my proudest moment." She admitted freely. "I should go though I need to know the entire book I need before Luna's night court." She bowed her head respectfully to her fellow librarian. Earning a light motherly pat on the head before hurrying off to the night-wing of the Library a broad grin plastered on her lips feeling like a kid in an all you can eat candy store. The doors to the nightwing were more ornate than the main library doors, moon motifs carved meticulously into a deep ebony wood, a portrait of Princess Luna reclining on a crescent moon was visible in the centre of the doors. She blushed seeing that the lunar Princess was only wearing a short frilly dress. She could not help but imagine Luna in such an outfit these days. Twilight unlocked the door, the key making a loud clang as it turned the massive locks and breaking the ancient seals with a soft rip. Pushing open the doors she smiled in satisfaction peering into the dark more Gothic section of the Library. Its walls were created from deep black obsidian. High above there were glass in lead windows depicting Luna Celestia and an Alicorn she had never seen before. The ceiling had large arches that supported the roof and each entranceway into small alcoves. The expansive wing was lit by magic ever burning candles each had a blue cold flame to avoid setting fire to the one of a kind irreplaceable tomes. She took in a deep breath stepping into the breath taking wing of her library; it was like something she had never seen before, outside of the old castle of the two sisters in the Everfree forest. She inspected the window panes closely realising that there was an enchanted glow-globe behind than rather than natural sunlight. Inspecting the third Princess she realised she had no idea who she was; never even having heard of there being another Alicorn as old as Celestia or Luna. She was a tall, graceful woman with a powerful presence even in the windowpane, her hair was a deep crimson red and she wore a radiant winning smile. Twilight was both in awe and intimidated by the woman she could only surmise was the Mother of Luna and Celestia, considering she held both of them in her arms. In the centre of the expansive wing there was a stone book stand much like there was in the main hall, a place where one could use magic to retrieve a book that was needed without having to comb through all of the thousands of volumes by hand. She approached it with a fond smile, looking around she notices that the wing had four main paths all leading up to the stand. She placed her hands on its surface concentrating on the book that Luna had recommended for her to read. Magic surrounded the stand, her amethyst aura it's power caused the medallion around her neck to vibrate, as it felt the powerful indexing spell that was being cast names of volumes flashed through her mind too fast for her to properly note them all though some stuck due to their odd nature. The great book of sex magic, Training thine consort and more such lewd sounding books that the Princess of friendship did not even want to consider, though they seemed to stick in her mind enough for them to appear right in front of her along with the book that she was actually looking for. She let out a low groan and rolled her eyes as she took the books that had appeared before her to a little Alcove to the side in between two of the paths that were lined with the books. She let out a loud sigh of exasperation. "Silly spell..." she mumbled placing the stack of lewd books aside. She eyed the massive and ancient tome pondering for a moment `It is massive, I won't be able to finish that before night court starts... perhaps I could use that new spell I recovered.` she thought to herself, tapping her lips idly with her right hand leaning on her elbow. She stood up, taking in a deep breath, exhaling slowly as amethyst magic starts to envelop her small delicate hands. She felt a surge of adrenalin rushing through her system, the thrill of using a new spell filling her with a blissful sensation. All the books levitated off the stand, rising up in the grip of lilac tendrils shapes that almost looked like letters slowly being transferred from the books to the head of the element of magic. The young Alicorn was filled with the sensational rush as knowledge flowing into her very being, though it was stored away to be slowly absorbed over time in her subconscious. Time seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, before twilight had noticed hours and a multitude of different books that she didn't remember picking up had passed. She fell to the carpeted floor with a gentle thumb panting heavily from fatigue; she had not considered just how much of her magical reserve it would drain to use that single spell.  Her eyes closed for a moment as she tried to catch her breath allowing her reserves to replenish a little drawing upon the innate magic around herself. A few minutes passed as Twilight sat there on the floor her breathing slowly levelling out to a more normal rate, her eyes opened to discover that all the books she had used a few seconds, or was it minutes? She could not be sure which it was any more having lost her sense of time due to the bombardment of knowledge that was now being absorbed into her brain. Time seemed to pass at a fluctuating rate for the young Alicorn. `Time... odd it only seems like...` she paused and reconsidered the word time, taking a moment drawing a blank at what was so special about time. To say it hit Twilight like a train was a definite understatement, if asked she would say that the thought had hit her like a freight train loaded with heavy metals, heading towards Canterlot at a speed of a hundred and twenty kilometres an hour. "I'm going to be late!" she shouted aloud leaping up to her feet and making a mad dash towards the Lunar wing doors almost forgetting to lock them and return the key in her haste. Her mental checklist prevented her from actually forgetting either of those things. In the hallway though she noticed the sun hanging low in the sky, she realised that her internal clock had been off by about an hour, losing track of time was foreign to her. She felt a little weak after the experience though managed to remain upright and set into a leisurely pace towards the throne room. Patting down her robes she took a calming breath trying to shake off her almost break down `I was almost tar- no not that word... Late, I almost thought I was late. ` She corrected herself, breathing out a sigh while motioning her arm forwards like Cadance had taught her a while back. Reaching into the pocket of her robes she smiled warmly, taking out a small leather bound notebook that looked to be quite some years old. She flipped it open with a loving smile, humming a loving melodious and warm tune to herself reading the ancient poetry that she had found in the Ponyville library. She walked a lot slower through the labyrinthine hallways of the palace her face buried in the book, navigating the hallways by memory. The guards she encountered stepped aside for her clearing a path for the, to them still new Princess, they shook their heads and mumbled something about Twilight being too much like the Lunar Princess at times. *** To the casual observer of Twilight Sparkle, it may appear that she was just aimlessly wandering the corridors of the Castle with her face buried in a book. They would be sorely mistaken for the Princess of Friendship did nothing aimlessly or without reason. No her path was carefully planned and calculated in her mind. She took the optimal route through the Labyrinthine interior of the palace to arrive at the throne room at exactly the right time while having the optimal chance to read whatever she had in her hands. Although reading was not on her mind right now, she was reading although she still hadn't passed the fifth page of the book she held in her hands; her mind was a veritable maelstrom of thoughts and theories about what had happened that early afternoon. Why... did Luna kiss me? I know she said it was tradition but... she thought with an audible sigh isn't that what lovers do? Does this mean she is interested in me... or was she just... oh Celestia what do I do I can't face her! Twilight blushed slightly as her thoughts had come back to that or rather to her, a small bashful smile crept onto her lips thinking back to the kiss she had been pulled into I... have to admit it was nice... "Something troubling you, Friend?" a soft gentle though slightly aggravating voice said, at least aggravating to those who actually knew to whom the voice belonged. It pulled Twilight from her thought's instantly; the voice seemed to be coming from thin air as there was nothing in the corridor. Twilight let out a deep annoyed sigh, her eyes scanning the hallway, slowly and carefully, for the owner of the highly frustrating voice. Her eyebrow twitched a little in mild frustration at being unable to find him. That is until there was a whistle from her chest. Looking down she saw the last person she would want to see sitting on the edge of her book, almost as small as a fly stood the Draconequus known as Discord looked up at her sympathetically. "Discord, I am in no mood for your games right now. If you want to play go see Fluttershy." She said with more than a little annoyance in her tone, she winced a little as she noticed the knife-like edge to her own words regretting them the moment she spoke "S-sorry... I should not let my annoyance get the better of me." She apologised with a small frown. "It is fine Twilight, and I just got back from dear Fluttershy. We had our weekly tea together; but for once Twilight I am not after games, tell me what is troubling you?" he said with what sounded like genuine concern for the youngest of the Princesses. Twilight let another sigh escape, sitting on the window frame, looking outside into the small internal garden. She told him everything, the kiss and her subsequent worries and inability to even stop thinking about Luna, how every thought she had ended in thinking about her. She was fighting back tears of frustration and confusion as she told the Draconequus about her worries and inability to process these feelings. "I see," Discord started with a small smile, he had grown to his full height again, sitting beside Twilight, a clawed hand softly brushing her hair as she leaned in for comfort. I... have to admit I was not expecting her to seek comfort in me... he thought to himself before continuing "Well, miss Sparkle I think I have reached a diagnosis." The Lord of Chaos had changed his appearance to that of the typical psychiatrist, in a fancy suit. Twilight blinked for a moment as she looked up at him, clearly not amused, though before she could speak her shushed her with a serious glance. "I am being serious Sparkle, so please don't give me that same 'we art not amused!' look Celestia does" He said with a small chuckle "My diagnosis for you my friend, is that you have a severe case of the crush for a certain nocturnal Princess." He nodded slowly, seeming to agree with his own assessment of the situation. "You should consider asking her out." "But... I hardly know Luna that personally! How cou..." she sighed deeply as she looked up at him. "I don't even know anything about courting, or love for that matter" Letting out a sigh he conjured up a small book entitled 'Romance for Dummies' placing it in her lap. "You can read that, talk to your sister in law... or do what I did and just follow your heart." He said softly ruffling her hair softly before using magic to style it as if nothing had touched her hair, even within the tear stains from her pale skin. "Thank you Discord... That did in fact help me a little" she spoke in a gentle appreciative voice offering the Draconequus a radiant and friendly smile. "Wait you have a special someone?" Twilight blinked rapidly looking up at him in mild shock. "I think had is a better way of saying it, we separated after well... my taking over Equestria and things, not my proudest moment." He said with a gentle smile "Fond memories none the less Twilight, I should introduce you to my daughter Eris though." "But regardless you have somewhere to be, she is waiting for you" He said giving her a playful shove into the throne room before she could form a reply. She nodded and pressed the book to her chest with a small smile on her lips "Thank you again, and... it'd be a pleasure meeting your daughter Discord." He smiled and waved at her, "No need to thank me Sparkle" he said just before she rounded a corner. "Well... that was the last sight I was expecting, Discord." Celestia's voice said surprisingly gently as she approached him, Starsong not far behind. "She needed it... now Tia, about your problem." *** Luna let out a small sigh as she allowed herself to meld into the evening shadows, her eyes locking on the woman she had picked as her prey, the element of magic Twilight Sparkle. With a devilish grin on her dark purple lips she allowed herself to reform behind the Princess of friendship, her eyes closed for a moment as she casually stalked after her playing with her prey, slipping into the shadows every time Twilight turned around. Twilight shivered a little feeling as though she was being watched, even though no royal guards were in this particular hallway. She shook her head firmly as she looked back into the book Discord had given her. It's just your imagination, you're being paranoid again because you're reading something embarrassing she mentally excused the feeling away. Eventually after a good ten minutes of stalking the younger Alicorn she pounced, leaning in close to whisper playfully into the poor unfortunate Twilight's ear. "Thy art my every reason and my every desire and every dream, Twilight Sparkle." Her hands slipped around the other woman's waist as her lips lightly caressed the lobe of Twilight's ear a sweet purr escaping the Lunar Princess' mouth, as her soft lips caressed along the shell of Twilight's ear. Twilight Sparkle froze in her place, wings unfurling with an audible pomf. Her breath catching in her throat as her cheeks burned brightly with as a deep scarlet blush washed over her healthy glowing cheeks. She jerked not a moment later on pure instinct, magic flaring from her horn and her books sent flying across the hallway as the levitation spell backfired from the pure and utter shock of being ambushed with whispers of sweet nothings. A shiver ran up her spine as she remained in Luna's embrace for a while before eventually leaping away from the woman, opening her mouth to protest, though looking at the Lunar Princess made her breath catch in her throat once more rendering her unable to reprimand the woman, her amethyst eyes locked with the other Princess' deep and expressive azure orbs. Luna looked deeply into Twilight's eyes, unable to hide the longing and adoration that radiated from her own, blushing as she realised just what she had said. It didn't register before it had left her lips entirely she meant to say something more along the lines of gotcha or some such she couldn't really recall what exactly she was going to say to tease the Princess of Friendship. Shock ran through Luna's system, having just told Twilight how she felt had not been the plan, she hadn't meant to throw that on the poor girl, why did I... T-this wasn't what I... she thought she could even Hardly form a coherent thought inside of her own mind. Her lips moved in an attempt to speak a desperate effort to say something to break the awkward silence. The awkwardness was so thick in the air around them Luna was sure it could be cut with a knife, her attempts to break it though did not go entirely as planned, and the awkwardness of her predicament was choking her into a mixture of stuttering and pauses. "We... that is to say... erm... I am... Sorry!" she blurted out and vanished with the tell-tale flash of a deportation spell, leaving a stunned and confused Twilight behind. "Luna wait!" Twilight called out, though too late, she'd broken out of her own reverie too late; she blinked a moment in confusion of what had just happened. The young Princess remaining behind in the empty hallway of the palace, her wings standing at their full attention still not having lowered after the initial shock of Luna's sweet loving voice whispering into her ear, "Stupid..." she mumbled to herself hanging her head in a dejected manner, allowing a sad sigh to pass her lips, continuing to walk through the hallways on her predetermined route to the throne room Calm down, everything will be alright. I will find a way to fix things with her. She tried to reassure herself mentally, though it wouldn't have fooled the most simple minded of people. Sighing she levitated the books back to herself. *** Celestia allowed a small relaxed sigh to pass her lips, she reclined on a large pillow in front of the hearth in her personal study her knees pulled up to her chest. She levitated a cup of herbal tea in her radiant golden musical aura; taking a deep breath enjoying the scent with a small giggle as she caught the pronounced scent of Jasmine Starsong... you know just what I need after a long day... she thought to herself taking the smallest of sips. In the background there was the soft gentle melody of her favourite classical music was playing, though not many of the people of this generation would recognise the music, it was ancient. Celestia was sure she owned the only remaining copies save for perhaps the music academy. Humming ever so lightly along with the slow piece of antiquated music, somepony had to keep the works of ancient masters alive she mused to herself.  She sunk back into the pillow allowing everything that was around her to slip away into the void of nothingness focusing her mind wholly on the soft scent of her tea and the gentle romantic melody of the music. "Only thing to make it better is if Starsong was here..." she sighed softly as she thought of her beloved Unicorn, whom was with her family for the night. All was silent in the neatly cleaned, circular study of the solar Princess, save for the soft classical music emanating from the small stereo sat upon her writing desk amidst a few burning candles. The solar deity was a rather old-fashioned woman preferring to keep her room lit by candles rather than magical glow globes. The last few rays of light filled the room with a brassy orange glow as the sun made room for the moon in their shared sky. Her room was not as big as most would think she kept her quarters rather humble in comparison to her little sister. She had wall to wall cream coloured carpet, with a large sun set into it shaped like her cutie-mark.  Near the window she had a large circular bed, the south and west walls were one large window, with two doors leading to a large balcony. Although the peace would not last as Celestia was startled by an audible and rather loud pop, accompanied by a midnight blue flash as her sister teleported into the room a panicked look in her eyes; her wings standing at attention although not in the happy kind of manner no they were wound up and ready to instantly take flight and flee. "Tia! We have Royally screwed up!" Luna shouted her old resurfacing as she fell back into using the Royal voice aggressively in her state of blind panic. Mother... why? Was it too much to ask to have a day with nothing disturbing my peace? She internally questioned, though she was brought back to reality as she heard the sound of her favourite teacup shattering on the ground. Wiping the tear off her dress with an even deeper sigh as she stood to face Luna, she let out a deep sigh looking at her younger sister with a deadpan expression "Doth the door offend thine delicate sensibilities sister?" she asked, perhaps a bit colder than she had intended, though pulling her little sister close holding her pressed close a hand running through the blue and purple hair. "Tell me... what did you do now?" "Well..." Luna started, talking throwing it all out as Celestia allowed them both to drop into the fluffy pillow. <<<< To be continued >>>> > Chapter three: Nightmare > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Sacrifice is never easy; some struggle with it. For others, it's as simple as 123." - Autumn Delight CHAPTER THREE Nightmare Panic; overwhelming, paralysing panic. That was what the Princess of the Night was currently feeling as she stood before her elder sister, tears welling up in her cerulean eyes as the shock of what she had blurted out in the hallway, without even meaning to, washed over her like a tidal wave. She hates me now, I pushed that onto her and she must think I'm a deviant Luna thought to herself, just before everything became black, and consciousness was taken away from her. Celestia's reaction was quick and instinctual, her radiant golden aura enveloped the smaller princess' form, squeaking out a little cuss under her breath as she leapt forwards wrapping Luna in her arms carrying her over the large fluffy pillow, placing Luna down with a gentle sigh. "Sister... you worry too much." Celestia whispered and shook her head slowly stroking through her younger sibling's ethereal hair. Levitating a blanket over Luna's form Celestia couldn't help but smile as a particularly wicked thought crossed her mind, Lulu... you're such a little filly when it comes to love... Celestia smirked just a little as she sat there, continuing to stroke through her sister's hair like a caring mother would, her gaze shifted to the door as she heard the firm knock. "You may enter" she called out. A night guard opened the door, offering her a small kind smile, well kind once you get over the fact of seeing their fangs. "My princess, Twilight Sparkle is in the court asking for the Mistress of the Night." He informed her, though his eyes went wide seeing Luna lay on the pillow. "I-is she... Is the Mistress alright?" he asked, instantly filled with an incredible amount of concern for his princess. "She is guardsman, please fetch Luna's seneschal, I think he will be able to instruct Twilight in the mannerisms in court." Celestia smiled softly, her magenta eyes shifting to Luna with a tender smile, "Princess Luna has had an exhaustive day please inform Twilight that Luna is with me currently." She sighed softly "Just forget to inform her Luna is currently passed out, Private. She doesn't need more worries on her young mind." "Yes Princess." He saluted and took his leave rather swiftly, by the sound, Celestia guessed he was running down the hallway rather than the normal march her personal guard had. "Oh Luna..." she sighed again softly nuzzling into her sister's hair, a soft sisterly peck landed on the crown of Luna's head. Celestia slowly levitated a piece of parchment towards herself along with the Phoenix feather quill, with a small little sigh she started to compose her letter. Dear Cadance, How are things in the Crystal Empire? It has been quite a while since we last had a correspondence, which I understand things are quite busy there as I recall hearing. But that is unfortunately not why I am writing you currently, this is about Twilight and Luna, it seems that I owe you twenty bits as you were entirely right about them not being able to handle... their own feelings. I would appreciate you making time to visit Canterlot. Preferably before Discord decides to handle this... he has been quite antsy about the subject. Love, Your aunt Celestia. Celestia smiled gently as she read the letter over once more with a small frown, it seemed just a little scatter-brained to her, although with her sister passed out she couldn't quite say that she cared about that fact right now. With a burst of her golden magic the letter was gone, and on its way to Cadance. "There now to wait for her to arrive" she sighed softly. *** Twilight allowed herself to fall into one of the pillows that had been laid out next to Luna's throne, sighing softly as she waited for the princess... the princess. A bright blush crept onto her cheeks as she remembered the words, they were engraved into her memory Thy art my every reason and my every desire and every dream, Twilight Sparkle... Luna... why did you run away. She sighed even deeper as she mulled it over in her thoughts not realising others entered the room with confused looks. Twilight waited patiently, her cheeks flushed as she considered her response for Luna's words. Coming up blank every time, unable to string together a coherent response for those particular words. Opening her eyes she noticed about twenty ponies sitting in front of her, causing her to squeak a little in shock the beginnings of her plan lost in a sea of worry. For a moment the Princess of Friendship was more like a deer staring into the lantern of a cart, but that changed as her eyes fell on a particular figure in the crowd. A tall unicorn woman that made her way to the front; Twilight would recognise that raven hair with scarlet highlights anywhere "Raven, where is Princess Luna?" she asked of the princess' seneschal. "The princess is indisposed right now, an Emergency meeting with her elder sister." She nodded slowly, a devious grin forming on her lips as she motioned Twilight to the seat of the throne. "You will be replacing her on this evening miss Sparkle." The tone of her voice send a sense of undiluted panic into Twilight's system, her eyes went wide, her mouth moved but she couldn't make a coherent sound... that is until she whispered "I... I can't! I've never held court before... you can't just throw me to the wolves!" Raven smiled almost evilly as she motioned to the throne once more, "The best way to learn is practice. Trust me I have taken the easier cases and dismissed the more sensitive ones." She assured Twilight, though her grin still held the same teasing, playful nature she was used to from Luna's night guard. "V-very well." Twilight stood up and took Luna's throne crossing her legs under the simple lilac magi robes. Sitting down with a nervous smile on her lips, taking a deep breath she let it out, glancing to Luna's... no her Seneschal. "Call the first petitioner, please Raven." She said, putting on false display of confidence; something she had picked up from Celestia for the first time she'd ever addressed the council of magi, presenting her Thesis on the magic of friendship. Her facade seemed to ease those gathered in the throne room; a small smile crossed her lips as her thoughts slowly played through her mind. This is the same as standing before the Arch-Mage, it is no big deal. Or so she told herself. "Calling forth, Honeycomb and autumn wind." Raven announced with her stern voice, glancing at Twilight just a little impressed with her change in outward attitude. Twilight offered a gentle smile as she looked at the two with a gentle nod as they bowed, signalling they may rise with a hand gesture. "Please rise, how... we be of service?" she asked, trying to emulate Luna's formal way of speaking. A ghost of a blush appeared on her cheeks as she caught the stifled giggle from Raven. "W-well, your Majesty," the honey haired woman started with a nervous look in her eyes, glancing to the man besides her with a Small frown. "My husband, or rather my soon ex-husband here and I cannot agree on what is best for our daughter, she is only a few months old..." she paused a moment wiping tears from her eyes staring, no... glaring at her husband. Inwardly Twilight noted that this was probably going to be a long evening, along with the fact that Raven had clearly lied about sending the tougher cases home. She took a long moment to reply "Please Ma'am tell me your side of the story, and then you will do so sir; but please keep it civil." After three exhausting hours Twilight fell back into the throne with a loud exasperated sigh, Raven had already left as court had ended, though Twilight sat there; recovering from having to take over Luna's responsibilities. Twilight wasn't angry though she was more worried of how to even approach Luna. She stood up walking down the dais, her eyes moving along the darker corners of the walls she could sense a chaotic presence in the room. "Discord I know you're there." She said flatly. "Oh my apologies Princess, I was enjoying the show." He snickered softly leaning on his cane after walking from the shadows. "You did marvellous for your first time Sparkle; She's in Celestia's room if you want to see her." He winked, just before producing a still image of the passed out Luna with his magic. "W-what happened to her!?" "Oh relax, she just passed out from stress... she is absolutely fine." He assured her with, scarily enough a tone of sincerity in his voice. "She does however-" was all he said before he vanished in a golden aura, leaving a muttered curse of 'damn you TIA!' to echo through the throne room. Twilight stood there dumbfounded by the sudden disappearance of Discord, though she shook her head and started walking out of the courtroom; sparing the throne she'd sat upon a last glance, she couldn't help but feel just a little proud of being able to handle some of the things her mentor did every day. She yawned softly, glancing to the clock tower with a small frown it's not that late... but I feel like it's midnight already... I'll just go for a quick nap she thought to herself with a small smile on her lips. After that I can go see Luna... better give her some room. She nodded gently, taking a deep breath, allowing the magenta magic to envelop herself, sending her to the one closest attuned arcane beacon, her old room. After Twilight had teleported to her old room she smiled an exhausted smile, and flopped down onto her bed without even taking off her robes or anything just allowing the blankets to wrap around her with very minimal effort on her part, she instantly allowed sleep to take her away to the realm of dreams. *** Twilight found herself in the dark of night standing before the old ruined castle of the two sisters; she was shocked to see it had been entirely restored to its former glory. Although it seemed off, its walls were all obsidian, the Lunar flag hung from the highest tower making it impossible to properly make it out, however she recognised Luna's signature crescent moon. Entering the castle however, made Twilight shiver, the artwork she had seen of the luxurious hallways did not match what it looked like, at all like what Twilight was seeing, none of Celestia's heraldry was anywhere to be found; neither was any living being for that matter she found herself all alone in this twisted version of the castle, her eyes fell onto a large grandfather clock, which showed that it was midnight or so she thought until her eyes fell onto a sun, signifying that it was in fact afternoon. Midday? How is that possible, it's pitch black out there... she thought to her with a small frown, continuing up the steps taking slow deep breaths. Wondering what felt like aimlessly through the labyrinthine hallways, until she found herself in front of the large oak wooden doors that led to the throne room. Looking at the door Twilight felt a pang of fear running through her, a bad feeling telling her to not open the door. Against her instincts though the Princess of Friendship used her magic to push open the doors to the throne room, encountering significant resistance from the door itself. Putting more of her magical energy into it she slammed them open; it was her dream she has the power here not the environment. What was revealed though surprised her greatly, standing with her back to the door was a tall woman, her hair was a mixture of blues and purples, Twilight could see countless constellations weaved through the hair; dark blue wings rested below a royal purple cloak. "L-Luna is that you?" she asked with hesitation, the woman was too tall to be Luna it couldn't have been her; not to mention Luna respected her privacy and would not enter her dreams unannounced like this. Her heart felt like it stopped as she woman cast a glance over her shoulder, piercing blue azure eyes stared at her, with the distinct cold look of unrefined hatred in them. She didn't speak while turning around to reveal the impractical plate armour, a dark almost black Shade of blue with silver trimming, the woman, that was definitely not Luna had her midsection on display as well as a significant amount of thigh and cleavage; making the armour look more about looks rather than function. Twilight's eyes went wide though as she saw Luna's cutie mark on the woman's toned belly. That... is not Luna... that is... Fear gripped Twilight as her mind connected the dots, having seen this woman once before a while ago, during her first summer sun celebration in Ponyville. "Nightmare... Moon..." she managed to mutter before being cut off by a bolt of dark purple magic aimed for her last position, teleporting just a meter backwards helped avoid the spell, which left a small crater in its impact location. "Do not ever dare compare me to that miserable creature... Luna is dead." She spat her old name with pure hatred as she pointed the enchanted blade at Twilight. Panic attempted to take hold of the young Alicorns mind, though she quickly pushed it aside she'd faced her before, and this was her dream after all she could take on her own nightmare. Taking a deep breath Twilight started weaving a spell in her mind, eyes locked onto the nightmare version of Luna. "I can handle a figment of my own nightmares..." she said, with a Small grin framing on her lips. Twilight had in the past had similar nightmares before; just after Luna's return in fact and it had been somewhat similar. "Oh, you think this is a dream little one!?" She laughed, her smile shifting into a particularly wicked grin that filled Twilight with a deep measure of concern. A worried look crossed her face as Nightmare Moon lunges towards her with a mighty flap of her large strong wings; she was upon Twilight in seconds barely allowing her enough time to finish the shielding spell as the blade impacted with the intricate defensive spell matrix. It didn't help against the might of the impact though, her shield shattered, as the momentum launched the surprised princess against the nearest wall, knocking the air out of Twilight Sparkle with a loud groan of pain. Leaping onto her feet she flexed her wings making sure neither was broken, she winced though as she felt some pain shoot through her breast as if she'd bruised a rib. P-pain... I'm feeling pain you're not S... it's not a dream this is real she leaped away from the magical follow up by speeding into the air, the wall she had been thrown against was turned to dust by the five magical bolts. Flapping her wings as quick as she can, Twilight made a dash for one of the windows, though realisation dawned on her that the woman she was facing was likely a much better flier. It was confirmed the moment she blinked and Nightmare Moon was in front of her, slashing at Twilight with a clawed gauntlet, she managed to avoid the claw striking her in the gut, but it left a rather nasty scratch along her side, along with ripping out a chunk of the primaries of her left wing. She found herself falling to the ground, screaming in pain as she made a mighty flap with her wings to slow her decent just enough to avoid injury, a hand shooting to her side as she felt the warm sensation of blood dripping along the side of her robes. A moment passed where Nightmare Moon grins showing off her fangs, as if she was a predator playing with her prey. Twilight took the chance weaving another spell, whimpering as her wounds were painfully sealed firstaid spells were never her strong point. Panting lightly she folded her wings, ignoring her ruined left wing for now. Holding out her right hand she focused her magic, summoning the arcane focus she had been gifted by the Princesses, for a moment her magic faltered, though it appeared after a short moment. Luna... I need you... badly... this is still a dream, but it's not mine... she called out for the princess of the dreams, using all her strength to summon her. The mighty flap of wings brought her back to the moment, looking up as she saw the Nightmare approaching her at a high speed, it took a moment for her to respond, though instead of a shielding spells she instinctively cast a spell, without thinking of even recalling the specifics of it. Her horn lit up in a mixture of magenta and solar golden, as she allowed the raw blast of solar magic to hurl towards Nightmare Moon. Grinning like an insane woman, she didn't even try to dodge it taking the full brunt of Twilight's magical assault, not that it mattered to her. Though the sound of shattering glass alarmed her as she took the last bit of the spell to her face and chest screaming as her pale milky skin was burned by the terrible heat. The pain was terrible and she did not manage to strike with her blade, instead she crashed on top of Twilight Sparkle, before rolling away in a practised motion. Twilight on the other hand did not stand up, she groaned loudly as she lay on the ground of the throne room, her gasping for air. Having a full grown woman fall on top of her like that, hadn't just knocked the wind out of her body she was certain by the pain in her back and chest that she'd broken multiple ribs, along with both her wings. "Done already, truly what a shame I was starting to enjoy my little prey." She purred with a slightly disappointed tone to her words. "Well then, time to snuff out the one thing that makes my jailer happy." Twilight craned her neck to watch Nightmare Moon approach her, her vision was blurred, although she wasn't sure if it was from the pain or from tears. The only thing Twilight Sparkle was sure of currently, even as her mind Screamed and begged for her to stand up was... she was going to die at the hands of Nightmare Moon. I... I can't die, not now she thought her fingers grasping for the arcane focus desperately so, she could feel the warm tears rolling down her cheeks as the realisation dawned on her dyeing here meant her death in the real world. She screamed as a new hot lance of pain show through her body, a plate sabaton, stomped onto her hand, filling the room with the sickening snap and crunch of her fingers breaking. She let out a choked cry "Luna! HELP ME!" seeing the blade already above Nightmare Moon's head, a sick grin of glee on her lips. Twilight closed her eyes as she saw the blade come down, resigning herself to what was about to befall her. *** Luna shot up, her eyes wide as she grabbed Celestia by the dress shouting at her elder sister, without even making a coherent sentence, "Twilight, Trouble, her room, teleport NOW" Was all she said before vanishing in a chaotic mess of her own blue aura, shattering one of Celestia's cups. Luna fell, onto the floor of Twilight's room, instantly leaping up and looking around as a sickening scent caught her attention, the sickening scent of something coppery in the air. Her eyes went wide as there came only one word to her mind... blood, and lots of it. She let out a choked sob as she ran to the bed, the white linen sheets had taken on a deep scarlet colour, Twilight's wings lay in an impossibly awkward position clearly broken, her right hand's fingers bent in similarly unhealthy angles. Luna upon inspecting her closer noticed the wound on her side had been cauterised by magic, looking at her face Twilight was clearly crying, and gasping for air. "No... TWILIGHT wake up!" She screamed, though she didn't wake up, instead she heard her whisper, faintly and distantly 'Luna... help... me'. A second later Celestia popped into the room with a frown, though said frown quickly disappeared once she caught the scent of blood much like Luna did. Rushing to her sister's side she saw the state her student was in, before she could speak though she heard Luna whisper "Get the castle Physician... I'm going to help her..." Without even waiting for the reply Luna touched her horn to Twilight's invading the poor Alicorns dream, encountering an unnatural amount of resistance. Celestia with curt nod left the room and soared through the night air off to fetch the Physician like she'd been asked, or rather ordered to by her younger sibling. Luna opened her eyes standing in the throne room, the old throne room. Her eyes fell onto the twisted nightmare that she had become, a deep seated feeling of horror filled her chest as she dashed forwards, unsheathing her blades and ducking under the falling Broadsword, allowing a magical shield matrix to from between her blades, allowing the blade to rebound off the shield throwing Nightmare Moon away from herself due to the reflective nature of the spell. "YOU" they both shouted, in unison. "Good, you can watch as I destroy everything you love." Nightmare Moon chimed, almost happy at having Luna there to watch her, taking a stance with her blade she grinned wickedly, like a madwoman slowly licking her lips. Luna didn't reply as she stood up, casting a glance over to Twilight, a strong wind picked up and all the torches in the room were extinguished by the strong, chilling wind. Luna faded away, allowing the darkness to envelop her body, hiding her from sight, her breathing slowing masked by the winds that had picked up. "Hiding like a coward!? This is MY realm. You can't control it." She screamed, though unable to find Luna she made a dash for Twilight Sparkle once more. Though as she got halfway there she felt a sudden shift in the ambient magic, not a second later her body was being pelted by falling stars, each of them leaving cuts as if small razor blades were shot at her. Luna allowed herself a smirk, she was still hidden and had moves again, watching Nightmare Moon charge her previous location she allowed the second spell to fire, a beam of cold moonlight struck down from above, with the force of a ton of hammers falling on Nightmare Moon. Adding more burns that already adorned her skin. She wasn't prepared for the follow up though. A grin flashed across her lips, and with a flap of her wings she charged Luna, striking her with the full force of her blade, sparing her from using the cutting edge, instead allowing it's shadow magic to burst forth and propel Luna across the room, up against one of the marble columns, laughing in enjoyment as the smaller Alicorn appeared the moment she hit the floor. "Still weak, Weaker still without your big sister here." She said coolly. Her hand raised as three orbs of dark magic appeared around the clawed hand, with a simple motion they rained down on Luna each sending the princess sliding across the floor with a scream of pain. "You forget yourself Princess. You are the realm of nightmares, you hold no power here." She licked her lips, her eyes glowing with glee, as if taking a perverse, almost sexual pleasure in tormenting her former host. Luna stood up, shakily, left arm hanging limply at her side, cuts and bruises adorned her body along with nasty looking magical burns. Nightmare Moon shifted her blade as she lifted up Twilight Sparkle, her clawed hand punching the youngest princess in the gut, electing a pained wail from the young girl snapping her back to reality. Luna felt her heart break at hearing Twilight scream, and without any hesitation she rushed forwards. Recognising the shift in Nightmare Moon's stance as she prepared to strike the killing blow on Twilight. Time seemed to slow down as Luna pushed Twilight from the nightmare's magical grip remaining caught inside of the aura herself, her side facing nightmare moon, unlike Twilight who was facing her head on. Luna's eyes went wide the moment she felt the blade connect, not with her collar or even her shoulders. Luna screamed in agony as she felt the blade cut through the base of her wings, she didn't even register hitting the floor. "LUNA! NO!" Twilight screamed at the top of her lungs as she watched in terror, seeing her friend's wings fall to the floor, tears welled up in her eyes as she realised she'd have died if Luna has not shoved her away... But she couldn't help but feel sorrow and guilt wrack her mind, she lost her wings... for me... She gasped, desperately trying to breathe through the pain, her eyes falling on the nightmare creature approaching her beloved Twilight once more. Raising the blade to strike. "T-Twilight... No..." she croaked. With magic gathering in her horn Luna, uttered the spell, allowing it to shoot at the woman. But she could only helplessly watch as it was absorbed by the woman's armour. It was then that a flash caught her eyes, her vision unable to focus as Nightmare Moon brought the blade down at Twilight, her eyes closed as she heard the blade crash with the stone she tried to scream, but no sound came as Luna devolved into a sobbing mess. *** He needed to be quick, the moment he had managed to pierce the veil that was covering Twilight's dream was when he saw it, Luna on the floor, and casting the weakest spell he had ever seen the Diarch of the Night cast. He shot forwards with a mighty flap of his mismatched wings swiftly bringing his cane in an upwards arch, slapping the Nightmare's blade off course, making it impact the ground just a millimetre away from Twilight's horn. Discord's eyes locked with Nightmare Moon's as he snarled, causing the woman to stare back in shock at the Draconequus with an impossible blast of Chaos magic that defied the Nightmare Realm's physics send Nightmare Moon crashing into the furthest wall. "I'm sorry Sparkle... “Discord whispered, drawing the blade from his cane with an almost saddened sigh, "I wish I could have pierced through her magic sooner... I hope you can someday forgive me for being late." He said in a sombre tone, dashing forwards to meet the woman's broadsword with his thin blade. The blade but all Rights should have been shattered by the broadsword, but it held firm. "Discord, you are supposed to be a statue. Furthermore you should have no power IN MY REALM" she screamed in disgust at seeing the Draconequus. Giving her blade a powerful thrust to shove the Lord of Chaos away. "Ooh... Lulu you forget, Chaos doesn't play by the rules." His voice was flat, even and emotionless. Gone was the playful trickster, the man that had once been a genius gone mad with his vast amount of knowledge. In his stead stood... She was not sure what stood before her but certainly not the Discord that she remembered was turned to stone. She spat on the floor, and with a cry of anger swiped her claw at him, unleashing a wave of shadow magic. She rushed forwards to follow it up with a slash of her blade. To her own horror the wave was redirected to one of the windows, a moment and the flash of green and black crackling steel later she felt a hot lance of pain shoot through her body. Discord has suddenly appeared behind her, and his blade was coated in black blood, her black blood she realised. Then she notices a certain weight missing in her right arm, looking down she couldn't just see her blade on the floor but her hand lay besides it chopped off at the wrist. She gasped, and not a moment later she felt an arm wrap around her throat, the skeletal fingers ripping into her throat. "N-not... not li-" she could not finish her sentence, as the hand ripped her throat open with a brutal amount of strength. He made her death quick though as the sword pierces through her armour, bone and heart as if it did not even exist. "No one harms my... friends." He growled, as the light left her eyes, making the last thing for her to see. The seething hatred in the Lord of Chaos' eyes. The nightmare realm vanished leaving them standing in the void of nothingness, dropping his blade Discord approached Luna, softly stroking through her hair as she sent the princess back to the waking world. Approaching Twilight he smiled at the shocked Princess. "It... it is going to be alright Twilight, I promise." He said with a small smile, kissing her on the top of her head, allowing a powerful magic to run through her body, closing her still bleeding wounds before sending her off to the waking world as well. Then, and only then did he allow himself to leave that place. Appearing besides a distraught Celestia, an arm wrapping around her, blood still coating his expensive greatcoat. "They will be fine Tia, I... I handled it..." he said pulling the aurora haired Princess into a thigh comforting embrace. He watched as Luna and Twilight both were Rushed off to the hospital wing. "I swear Tia; I... will do anything to make it right." *** Twilight finally woke up, her eyes shifting to peer across the simple white room; it was Dark, though she recognised it as the recovery room of the Princess's personal medical wing. She let out a groan as she tried to sit up but her body didn't obey, it took a moment before she saw... him. Discord placed a hand on her shoulder pushing Twilight back into the soft silken sheets, "Don't move Twilight." He said softly, locking eyes with her offering a small smile. She instantly noticed the dark rings around his eyes, and the raw red streaks on his skin. "D-Discord... what happened? I-it was a dream... why does everything hurt..." she croaked, her voice startled her a little, it sounded as if she hadn't used it in days "W-what's with m-" she was silenced by a gloved finger pressing onto her lips, looking up at the Lord of Chaos, panic starting to flood her system. "You... have been unconscious for a week Twilight... Luna still hasn't regained consciousness." He said softly, though not moving his finger, casting a glance over at Celestia who was sleeping in one of the beds, the bed besides Luna to be exact "Not too loud, she's been awake for days on end... And to answer... what happened in the dream... physically happened to you both." "Luna's w-wings..." was the first thing she said as the finger moved, tears welling up in her eyes once more as the scene replayed in her mind, the blade cutting through the bones, severing Luna's wings from her body. She couldn't process it for a moment, and then rolled herself away from Discord, over the edge if the bed with a loud whine as she caught herself with her broken hand. "Sparkle are you mad!?" Discord hissed for a moment, though watched as she limped over to Luna's bed, half crawling onto her with a choked sob. Cupping Luna's cheek she whispered "I-it's my fault... her wings are gone... and it's my fault." She spoke softly, hardly allowing anyone to hear her, breaking into unrestrained crying she buried her face into Luna's neck, her own wings wrapping around Luna's form. "Twilight... It's not your fault... if anyone has to take blame let it be me... for... not being able to help sooner." He said laying a comforting hand on her shoulder "Be happy though Sparkle, you're both alive..." She shivered, looking at Luna for a long moment, her breathing irregular, and frantic; running a hand through Luna's hair ever so gently. "I..." she started, glancing back at Discord, "D-do my friends... know?" He gave her a confirming nod, glancing back at the door for a moment "They are in the next room. Still asleep I think, together with your brother and Cadance." Sighing softly, he ruffled Twilight's hair; his look led her to believe there was more bad news, though she put on a gentle smile. "She's going to be alright. Now come on back to your bed Sparkle... before the doctor shouts at me again." She gave a reluctant nod, pausing a moment as she looked down at Luna for a long moment. She leaned in and in a sudden move of brazenness she softly pressed her lips on Luna's, allowing it to be a chaste little peck. Her horn caressing along Luna's "I... love you too Luna, please wake up soon..." she whispered under her breath. She walked slowly back to her bed, climbing into it with a little help from Discord. "Try to sleep a little more Sparkle, I promise when you wake up... It will be alright." He nodded, and before she could even reply she fell into a dreamless sleep once more, the moment his finger booped her on the nose. He pushed the door open glancing at the two night guards, "No one enters, except for well... you know the drill already." He sighed softly. Walking across the hall, and into the room where seven girls lay curled up in a sea of pillows. His eyes though, fell on a certain blue haired guy; his eyes were like steel as he sternly stared at him. "Captain." He greeted Twilight's elder brother with a polite nod. "Discord." Shining returned, with more than a little worry in his voice. "She... woke up just now..." he said, conjuring up two glasses both filled with an amber liquid, offering one to the blue haired former captain of the guard. "I... sent her back off to a dreamless sleep, her things Luna is her fault... I... didn't have the heart to tell her the implications." Shining sighed deeply, taking a sip from the glass after accepting it into his magenta magical aura. "I don't think anyone does Discord... Is she... at least recovering well?" "She is, it's only her hand now, but you know how broken bones work." "MH, I'm no stranger to them" He muttered softly "At least she is recovering... we should tell her though Discord." He shook his head a little "Let's leave it to Luna... I think she'll take it better when it comes from her." Discord sighed and slammed his glass back in one go, closing his eyes with a deep sigh. "Discord... When is the last time you slept?" Shining asked with a certain amount of concern for the reformed Lord of Chaos. "I haven't since the incident. I can go without sleep... for a long time." He said, though half-heartedly. Shining Armor nodded gently, opening his mouth for a moment, before thee was the clattering sound of armour hitting the floor, it took both of them all of two seconds to be in the hallway, watching a two toned blond Unicorn woman stand up, glaring at the night guards "Let me in! I want to see Princess Celestia!" she demanded. "Ma'am, we aren't to let anyone disturb here." "Sergeant, with all due respect I-" She paused her rambling as she looked at the gloved hand on her shoulder, gently pushing her towards the door. "Excuse us gentlemen." Discord said, as he led Starsong inside, he flashed a smile at her, motioning to the sleeping Celestia, whispering softly as he closes the door behind them. "Go to her." She lost all pretence of decorum, and rushed to Celestia's side holding her close "T-Tia... I'm... here." She whispered softly holding the Princess pressed close to herself, a kiss softly caressing the woman's cheek. "I-I'm sorry... why didn't you summon me while I was with my Family..." "S-Starsong..." Celestia whispered softly, wrapping her arms around the small guardswoman, a slightly happy smile crept onto her lips. "B-because, I did not want to ruin your time with them... I know how important they are to you." Sighing softly she play slapped Celestia on her cheek, putting on what could only be described as a scolding tone "Listen here Missy, your sister, Nada her student were attacked. You needed me more than my family... and... I wasn't there for my beloved." Celestia didn't reply, she couldn't reply; she knew Starsong was right, she knew she should have sighing softly she pulled her lover tightly into her embrace, wrapping the soft white wings around her lover with a delicate smile on her lips It... is for the best she did not see me like that... Celestia thought to herself. Her lips making a gently contact with the smaller woman's, their horns touching as she held her tightly. *** Twilight let out a soft little groan, waking up to the smiling faces of her six friends. She couldn't help but smile as she noticed her brother and Cadance standing behind them, giggling lightly as she heard Pinkie screaming "SHE'S AWAKE!" Rarity sighed softly "Honestly Pinkie... it is most unload like to shout in a hospital... Twilight, Darling HOW are you feeling?" "Hey guys..." She managed weakly, casting a glance over to the still sleeping Luna. "I'm... fine, the doctor told me I can go..." she nodded gently, gasping as she was scooped up in a tight hug by Cadance. "Twilight..." She only managed to choke. Before she could answer though there was a gentle little cough from their left, Twilight's gaze instantly snapped to Luna, and before she knew it she stood at her side. "L-Luna..." she whispered softly, cupping the Princess' cheek gently watching as her azure eyes opened slowly, Twilight's breath caught as she wrapped her in a tight hug "Goddess above LUNA" she shouted in joy, softly nuzzling her cheek. "T-Twilight... I'm glad you're safe." She said with a gentle smile softly running a hand through the woman's hair. Her eyes went wide though as she noticed the distinct lack of a certain appendage she was sure she moved to wrap around Twilight "N-no..." Was all she whispered softly. Slowly Twilight pulled back, looking into Luna's tear filled eyes. "L-Luna..." she whispered gently, wiping away her tears gently, hearing the door open and close behind her, noticing it was only them now. "I... I'm sorry... if I had been stronger..." she started, but was caught by Luna pressing a finger to her lips. "D-don't you dare say it was your fault miss Sparkle, What happened was my choice." She shivered as she sat up, casting a look over her shoulders were her wings once were "I... what I did Twilight, has implications but I couldn't let you die..." "Princess I," she paused looking her in the eyes, unable to find the words she leaned in and softly allowed their lips to meet as they had the night before, her left hand softly cupping the woman's cheek as she leaned into the kiss allowing it to become deeper and more passionate. The kiss seemed to last an eternity at least to the both of them, but eventually they parted panting for breath "Love you..." Twilight finished her sentence with a deep blush. "You're... n-not angry with me for... saying what I did?" "I'm angry with you for running away straight afterwards..." Twilight countered with a teasing little grin on her lips. "...Not to mention having me take over for you in court." Luna blushed a little as she looked at Twilight, a sheepish smile forming on her lips. "Do you... want to go out when I'm allowed to leave the room?" she asked her with a gentle little smile, arm draped around Twilight's neck. "That sounds Lovely Luna." Twilight smiled, and sealed it with another gentle Kiss. Both of them looked to the door as they heard something, something horrifying "PRINCESS DATING PARTY!" they glanced at one another and allowed a soft little giggle in response to Pinkie's little outburst. "Seems we have a party to prepare for as well." Luna grinned just a little at Twilight. "It seems that way indeed..." Twilight let out a small chuckle, settling on the bed with a gentle smile at Luna, leaning in to cheekily steal another kiss. "Luna... what are the implications of you not having your wings?" Twilight asked, a worried edge to her voice as an arm wrapped around the smaller princess. "It... with them gone..." she sighed deeply, looking into Twilight's eyes for a long moment. "Means I am no longer... immortal..." She said, grasping Twilight with her one good arm and pulling her close and nuzzling into Twilight's neck. "Luna... there must be a way to reverse that, right?" she asked with a bit of desperation in her voice. "Twilight I-" she started though was cut off by the snapping for a claw. "It is, but it won't be easy, Luna, Sparkle." Discord chimed in with a small little smile on his lips "I'll tell you when you’re fit enough, I have been doing research." He smiled gently and motioned for the doctor to pass. "Princess Luna, most of your wounds have been mended, I can say that we don't need to hold you here any longer, but please be careful? Your arm is going to take a while longer even with magic... it's still fragile." He smiled gently at her, though a look of regret was visible in his eyes. <<<< To be Continued >>>> > Chapter four: Better Times > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “A child is the greatest gift That our lives can bestow. It brings the most exquisite joy That we will ever know.” - Autumn Delight CHAPTER FOUR Better Times Almost a day had passed since both Twilight and Luna had been allowed to leave the hospital wing of the Castle, and they were both rather eager to do so. Slipping off to have lunch with Celestia and Twilight's five friends; the afternoon was spent at the small family owned doughnut shop that Twilight frequently visited when she was still a fair bit younger. The afternoon had turned to early evening, and they all found themselves on the train back home to Ponyville. Everyone was already fast asleep in their respective beds, intent on sleeping the long trip away. The moon had already been raised by Celestia, as the doctor had adamantly pointed out strenuous magic would have been bad for the Princess. He was adamant about the younger Alicorn needed to get her well needed rest. Luna however, was restless as she lay on her bed unable to sleep on the loud moving train. She had her eyes glued to a tome or more specifically her eyes had been glued to the same page that she had been staring at for the past four hours. Not even noticing the worried glances Twilight shot her every now and then. Luna sighed softly and shifted her gaze out of the window to her right, allowing her head to fall onto the book with an almost inaudible whimper of frustration and sorrow. Anypony not paying attention would have written it off as the wind slipping in through a small crack, Twilight however recognised the source of it and as Luna's eyes closed she silently stood up. Doing her best not to make a sound paid off as Luna certainly was startled the moment Twilight crawled into her bed, an arm wrapping around Luna's belly, gently comforting her with the soothing caress, silencing Luna with a gentle nuzzle to her cheek. "Talk to me Luna, I... know you want to be left alone right now but I can't stand seeing you like this." Twilight whispered ever so tenderly, her voice overflowing with worry for the older Alicorn. Luna froze, for a moment as she felt the form of Twilight pressing against her back, though slowly allowed herself to melt into the embrace, glancing over her shoulder at the dark purple haired girl with a the ghost of a smile on her lips "I'm just worried Twilight. I-it's nothing to be worried about." She excused, although in a half-hearted manner as she locked eyes with the Princess of Friendship. Turning around Luna wrapped her arms around Twilight, holding her tightly to herself. "Luna... please? I'm worried..." Twilight whispered a slightly desperate tone to her voice as she gently cupped the smaller woman's cheek, gazing deeply into her eyes "You... don't have to do this alone; I am here and not going anywhere." She tried to keep her tone low, though there was a burning desire to help Luna behind her voice that caught Luna off balance; she looked away from Twilight, hiding behind her simple azure hair, its star like qualities hidden to pass as a commoner. "T-Twilight... it's... I don't even know what this means, am I still even a princess? I... feel weaker less of a woman ever since..." she mumbled softly, shivering as she clung to Twilight, still facing away from the girl she had proclaimed her love for "A-and... what... about us? I... how do-" Luna wanted to continue her rambling though she was cut off as a gentle, soft hand cupped her cheek, firmly guiding her to look up at Twilight's smiling face, not soon after she felt the sudden pressure of a pair of soft tender lips pressing against her own; the kiss was chaste, though none the less passionate and heart melting for the smaller woman. "Luna, ‘us’ will take time to discover. And I think I speak for at least everypony in this cart, that you are not any less a woman of Princess without your wings. Discord said he had an idea, and I think we can trust him on that; so let us focus on the good for now? And move to better times... together?" She said softly, her hand tenderly stroking Luna's cheek and wiping away the tears that had silently started flowing, even though Luna was smiling a sweet but fragile kind of smile. Regardless seeing her smile made Twilight's heart flutter with joy. She didn't reply verbally, at least not at first words couldn't come out as Luna choked out a sob each time she actually tried, so instead replied with a tender, though much deeper kiss than Twilight had dared before, shifting closer to her fellow Princess; her eyes closing as they curled up against one another, legs entwined and arms wrapped around each other. Twilight covered them with the blanket as Luna nestled her head into the crook of Twilight's neck whispering softly "I... love you Twilight." Twilight smiled, softly brushing her lips against Luna's earlobe, whispering a sweet and gentle "I love you too, Luna." Curling up a little more she did not allowed sleep to take her for the remaining two hours of the train ride remaining content to watch Luna sleep. Being a night owl staying awake wasn't an issue for Twilight and watching Luna snuggle against her was probably the most adorable thing Twilight had ever seen. Her mind raced as she couldn't help but watch Luna She is... so cute she thought, my sweet little Luna. The two hours passed in a heartbeat, and Twilight was more than a little disappointed that she needed to wake Luna up. She was stirred from her thoughts as she heard a long drawn out gasp from behind her. Casting a glance over the looked at five sets of eyes staring at her, she offered a sheepish smile in return as she gently nudged Luna, softly shaking the Princess awake. "Time to get up Luna, we're here." She whispered in a sweet loving voice, daring a small nip at the ear she was whispering in. "Ugnn... five more minutes, please" she mumbled softly, though gasped as the sheets were pulled away leaving her bare arms exposed to the slightly cold air in the cabin. "Eek! I'm up I'm up!" She muttered giving Twilight a playful shove. "Good, you can curl up in bed soon enough Luna" she smiled with a slight wink. "G-good... I was really comfortable." As the group departed the train finally with their respective baggage they shared a quick hug and a gentle kiss on the cheek before each going their way home. And hearing Pinkie shout something about a party tomorrow evening. Twilight took Luna's hand in her own as she guided the Princess to the library, offering her a radiant smile every now and then. Even though they walked in silence it wasn't the awkward kind of silence. It was the kind of silence that allowed you to fully take in the presence of the person at your side, and slowly they shifted from hand holding to interlocking arms almost without noticing, even though each of them carried a small blush when they did notice it felt so natural to do; not to mention how much they'd fantasized about walking like this. She leaned in just a little closer seeking out Twilight's warmth, it was summer though it was a bit chilly that night; the cold was easily forgotten though as she felt Twilight wrap a wing around her in a gesture of affection, and caring having likely felt Luna's shivers. "T-thank you" she mumbled softly, her cheeks growing just a little more flushed as Twilight leg her down the cobblestone path, towards a large tree. Luna wasn't a stranger to that particular library, though her visit this time seemed entirely different less awkward. Twilight slowly led Luna inside offering her a gentle, loving smile. The moment they were inside the both of them were assaulted by the young spike who flung his arms around their neck "Twi! Luna, you're both alright!" he managed to get out as the three of them fell to the ground with a loud audible thump, though instead of being cross with the young drake Twilight just ruffled him over the head. "We are fine young Spike." Luna said with a tender smile, her eyes focused mostly on Twilight though, reaching down to straighten Twilight's skirt. "Well... fine all things considering." She amended quickly as she leaned in to nuzzle Twilight's cheek. "Yes... Spike we do have to talk in the morning alright? It's well past your bedtime though mister!" she put on the playfully scolding tone as spoke slowly stood, allowing Twilight to be helped up by a kindly smiling Luna. With a quick motion Spike made himself scarce, and soon there was the tell-tale click of a door closing. "We'll tell him in the morning I don't think he'd even register it right now." Twilight whispered, coaxing a small chuckle from Luna. "Speaking of tired though Twilight..." "Yes, let me take you to the guest room Luna" Twilight started walking up the stairs with a gentle smile on her lips. Luna followed after her with a nod, bag slung over her shoulder, she smiled a little as Twilight led her to the room across from her own, a small smile on her lips as she pushed the door open to reveal a lovely guest room, which was pretty well furnished, more like a small apartment. "I... think this will do nicely, thank you Twilight." She smiled, leaning in to gently kiss Twilight on the forehead standing on the tips of her toes. Twilight blushed as she returned the favour, although on Luna's cheek "If there is anything you need Luna then please do ask alright? I am just across from you." She nodded and with a final kiss they parted, Luna closing the door to prepare for bed, it didn't take her more than five minutes though to change into the snuggly thick azure pajamas that matched her hair in tone. Smiling gently Luna smiled as she snuggled under the sheets and allowed sleep to grab her and drag her away to her own personal empire of dreams; she smiled gently as she sank into the fluffy bed. Twilight lay on her bed with a small smile, her horn illuminated as a book levitated above her head. The youngest Princess smiled happily dressed in a rather simple white and purple nightgown that fell to her knees; a magical fire was going in the fireplace, generating heat but not burning. A candle helped illuminate the pages of the novel she was reading, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment nearing the end it had gotten particularly saucy and she couldn't help but imagine herself being the main character of the story. She absentmindedly slipped a hand down towards her belly shuddering just a little as she feels the fingers make contact with the white cotton panties, biting her lip Twilight focused all of her attention on the novel, as her middle finger rubs slowly along the damp spot of her womanhood, coaxing a small gentle moan from the fledgling Princess. Her eyes rolled back for a moment as she brushed softly along her clitoris, teasing herself by keeping a tortuously slow pace as she moved the finger ever upwards to the rim of her panties; and slowly sliding her hand inside she groaned as the digits caressed along her warm aching womanhood, moaning and slightly shuddering in anticipation of digging those slender, nimble fingers inside of her burning, wet core. She gasped as the middle finger found her little love button once more, electing a sweet gentle croon from Twilight as she put a gentle pressure on it, willing herself to remain slow and methodical rather than giving in to the primal urges her body was screaming for her to give in to in that moment; her eyes scanned the pages following every motion as if she were the one being touched. Finally she applied more pressure electing a proper moan from her lips, back arching slightly whispering Luna's name almost in audible. Slowly the fingers snaked down even more, she panted in anticipation as she slowly parted her moist burning lips, her entire body begging for the touch that was imminent, and in a moment of primal lust she thrust both her index and middle fingers inside of her delicate folds, coaxing a loud, pleasured moan. She shuddered as the fingers instinctively started thrusting in and out, her hips bucking in the fast and frenzied pace. Sweet moans and whines escaping her as she arched her back even more quickly drawing close to her peak by introducing a third finger into her hungry pussy. "Aha... L-Luna... H-harder please" She groaned novel long forgotten and discarded onto the floor as she quickly worked her fingers, her pace growing rougher by the moment, that is until reality came crashing back to her by a knock on the door, causing Twilight to groan slightly in frustration and mild panic as she heard Luna's voice. "T-Twilight are you awake?" "Y-yes a moment please let me get decent!" Luna waited for a while, quickly feeling a bit awkward as she'd probably woken Twilight up. She needed her right now though, wiping away a few stray tears she looked up as the door opened, into Twilight's eyes. It didn't take a second for her to be wrapped into a hug, catching the comforting lavender scent of Twilight's hair as she held her tightly. Luna blinked for a moment she'd never really smelled Twilight before but it comforted her. Twilight slowly guided Luna inside with a gentle smile sitting them both on the edge of the bed Oh by Celestia... I hope she can't smell it... like... that spell should mask it... she worried, though those worries were cast aside as she smiled down at Luna "what's the matter dear?" she asked in a caring, but worried voice, gently cupping Luna's chin and bringing her to look up. "I..." Luna started "Had a nightmare..." She whimpered faintly as she grabbed onto Twilight and buried her face in the woman's neck once more. "C-can you... hold me like on the train Twilight?" Twilight giggled a moment and slipped under the sheets on one fluid motion, raising them up with a gentle smile, offering a nod as she watched Luna look on in confusion "Of course you may Luna, my... bed always has room for you." Her tone was gentle and adoring as her magenta aura grasped the stunned Princess and started pulling her close, Luna shifted with a small giggle as she curled up nestling her back against Twilight, allowing herself a gentle smile, eyes closed as she slowly felt the woman she loved curl around her, Twilight was taller, and it made Luna feel safe laying in her warm embrace. *** Morning came, all too soon in Twilight's opinion. Not because she was tired, in fact she'd had a very good night's rest the best in months if she had to be honest. No the reason it was too soon was because she didn't want the warm embrace to end, her right hand gently draped over Luna's side hand caressing her belly, her other arm offered as a pillow for the nocturnal princess, her legs entwined with Luna's at the ankles and finally the wing draped protectively around the Princess that she loved. Twilight couldn't help but smile as she nuzzled into Luna's hair taking in the her natural scent, the kind of subtle scent you'd expect when a thunderstorm was brewing, it was calming to her. Her mind wandered for an hour as she lay there, enjoying the feeling of Luna's back pressed snuggly against her own form, looked at the peaceful Princess's chest rise up and down with each peaceful breath. Oh Celestia... she is so cute... the thought roused her mind and borough a smile to her lips, a fond loving smile. The door opened just as Twilight leaned in, unable to resist pressing her lips against Luna's, though she froze as her eyes met with Spike's large emerald eyes. She jerked away from Luna's face, and pulled the blanket up to hide the rather compromising position her little brother saw her and the Princess in. "Nope... breakfast in bed it is... I'll, make your favourite." He said and walked off closing the door, the reaction caught her by surprise, his calm demeanour was definitely different from what she had been expecting, although she could clearly hear Spike say something along the lines of 'oh... great.. I had to walk in on the mushy girl stuff...’ causes Twilight to bite back a chuckle. She sighed softly as she leaned in once more, her lips tentatively brushing along Luna's, she purred delicately worried for a moment that Luna would wake up. To her surprise though Luna didn't wake up from the shifting and moving, her sleep seemed to be deep, then again... I would likely sleep that deep too if I was the one being held so safely she thought. There was a certain scent in the air, Luna realised; aside from the sweet feminine scent of the woman that was currently holding her, making her feel warm and safe as she lay there. No this scent was a different kind of sweet mouth-watering scent; then it jumped at her it was the sweet scent of delicious pancakes, her eyes snapped open. To her surprise Twilight had shifted and was looking at her with a warm affectionate smile. Even while not fully awake Luna shot up and kissed the woman on the lips the overwhelming feeling of love and adoration filling her up at waking besides the gorgeous Twilight Sparkle. Twilight was surprised; the kiss had seemingly come out of nowhere and was less chaste and more passionate than any of the previous ones. It took her a moment but she melted into the kiss with a small content sigh, her lips softly meeting with Luna's their tongue playfully wrestling with each other as everything else melted away around them; only the other woman existed and before Twilight had realised she pushed Luna into the sheets straddling her lap in the deep passionate kiss. Their cheeks flushed at the implications of the position but neither of them wanted the kiss to ever end that is until there was a slight cough. They hadn't realised the door opened, or that Spike had walked in carrying a large tray, that was home to two plates with impressively stacked pancakes, and a small pot of coffee. His deadpan look made both Princesses blush furiously. And if things weren't awkward enough Twilight in her moment of panic lost controls of her wings with an audible rustle of feathers as they stood almost rigid on her back. "Nope... I'll be with the crusaders... all this mushy stuff is going to be the death of me I swear." "Spike... come here and let us explain..." Twilight said her voice shifted to something a little sterner as she shifted off Luna's lap lying beside the woman. Levitating over the tray she poured the both of them a cup of coffee, looking at spike with that certain look that didn't allow of any argument. Spike eventually climbed on the bed besides Twilight with a sigh of resignation. "I swear... sometimes you're more my mom than my sister..." "Technically I am, considering I hatched you." She said playfully. "Yes mom." He countered with a slightly playful tone. "So... about me and Luna..." she started, gently hugging the young dragon, wrapping a wing around spike with a gentle smile she continued "You see... me and Luna are," she cast a glance at Luna, who nodded with a smile, sipping her black coffee slowly "together now." She finished her other wing wrapping around the princess with a small giggle as she felt Luna melt against her side. "And... That means knocking whenever you enter now, unless you want to see all the mushy stuff." "I... rather not." Spike offered a sheepish smile at the both of them "No offence Princess, but I do not need to see your mouth anywhere near Twilights." Luna couldn't help but giggle as she wrapped one arm behind Twilight and kisses her rather demonstratively. "I understand Spike, but it doesn't mean I am going to hold back my feelings for her... I am a very affectionate woman." He blushed and looked away mumbling something in a different language, which earned him a slap upside the head from Twilight. "Go on, go with the Crusaders... but no getting into trouble! We're taking a day off." She said with a gentle smile. Spike looked at Luna, and grinned "Princess you are welcome here whenever you please... She's not taken a day off since we arrived here!" He said, sprinting for the door, nimbly dodging a pillow that was aimed for him! With Spike gone Twilight and Luna set to start eating their breakfast, still snuggled against each other; and at times using the fork in their magical grip to feed one another instead being all smiles and giggles about it finding a good time in one another's company. Twilight constantly kept an arm and wing around Luna almost as if she was a afraid that letting go would cause this all to fade away and reveal it to be just her dream. "Luna..." she finally whispered softly "I-it might now be... anything fancy but would you like to... share a novel as our first date? If... that is your fancy though..." she said, uncertainly her eyes averted away from Luna as a blush crept onto her cheeks. "Twilight that would be lovely, “Luna whispered with a gentle smile on her lips” but... only if I get to plan out second date." Luna's voice took on a more playful, taunting tone having taken Twilight's words on the train to heart and focusing on the good that they have right now rather than what she'd lost. Her lips brushed along Twilight's ear as she whispered in a low, teasing tone "Romantic candle lit dinner under the stars." Twilight's cheeks lit up as she felt Luna's teeth on her earlobe, the warm breath caressing her skin sent shivers down her spine; she quickly nodded with a mumbled "yes please." After breakfast the two of them realised the time, and each took a quick shower and set to prepare for the party that Pinkie Pie had been talking about the night before, they were both slightly panicked as they had almost forgotten entirely about it while drowning in each other's admittedly pleasant company. But now they had to hurry because Twilight did not want to be... late.  Her eyes closed for a moment as she ran a brush through her hair with magic, casting a glance at Luna who was braiding her azure hair weaving a silver cord into the braid. And soon enough they were ready each wearing a simple outfit, Twilight wearing her rather common knee length skirt with the purple socks that reached just above the knees, a simple V-neck sweater vest and blouse with the few top buttons undone as she wanted to appear at least somewhat appealing to Luna. Her hair though was its usual self framing her slender face perfectly. Luna on the other hand wore a simple blue dress reaching to just below the knees, with a pair of dark, midnight blue stockings. She looked quite adorable in contrast to Twilight's sexier student kind of look. With that they were off to the Party with about ten minutes to spare thanks to Twilight being, rather adamant that they hurry and be there before the time rather than be fashionably late as Luna had called it. Reaching Sugarcube Corner they were greeted by the Pink party girl herself, who was grinning broadly at them, the grin was enough to send shivers down Twilight's spine, she... was planning something. Pinkie Pie wore a rather interesting outfit, tight fitting shorts with a matching and equally tight top that didn't leave anything to the imagination, offering the illusion that her bust was about to spill out of the cotton-candy pink top. the shorts did, however,  accentuate her long slender legs and bubbly flank quite a bit; there was a reason everyone in town wanted to ‘befriend’ Pinkie Pie, aside from her good natured personality and funny mannerisms she was... drop dead gorgeous. Luna was pulled from her admiration of the Element of Laughter though as the pink woman was bouncing infer not of her chattering away about how excited she and the family she lived with were to have a one of the Princesses over. Luna's cheeks took on a slightly red tint as she watched the pink woman's chest bounce up and down; shaking her head she put both hands on the woman's shoulders legitimately fearing the large orbs might pop from the top in public. "P-please Pinkie Pie... I'm just one of you... saying Luna will be enough." Pinkie smiled and pulled them both inside, by the looks of thing they were the first to arrive, and Twilight smiled contently and took hold of Luna's hand with a loving smile. They were greeted by mister and misuses Cake, both bakers made an entire scene of it like they did every time Princess Celestia would visit them. With a small sight Luna approached the two, took each by the hand and helped them up offering each a small little frown. "Please, don't bow I would appreciate it if you'd not treat me any different than any of Twilight's other friends." She said in a soft, but stern voice. They both nodded "of course, Princess." They said in tandem, and ensued themselves to the kitchen once more. Luna sighed softly as she looked to Twilight, offering her a little smile "That... went better than nightmare night at least." She nervously chuckled, taking a seat at the table that pinkie was setting cups on, sighing gently as she nestled herself comfortable on the fluffy pillows, motioning Twilight closer with a single finger; Twilight obliged rather eagerly as she sat close to Luna although keeping a slight distance for the sake of public appearances. Luna shot her a playful pout at that, and they shared a little giggle at that, leaning in for a small kiss to the cheek sighing gently as she feels the soft wing wrapping around her form, her head gently resting on Twilight's shoulder. "This... feels so right... Twi." Luna whispered softly so soft in fact Twilight had almost missed the words being spoken to her. Twilight smiled gently cupping her cheek she Led Luna into a sweet little kiss. Both of them froze as they heard a loud whistle, looking over her shoulder Twilight saw all five of her friends staring at them, a furious blush spreading over their cheeks as they quickly took a respectful distance from one another. Luna looked at the table, the pattern of the wood suddenly becoming very interesting to her and she intently stared at it, with brightly burning cheeks. Twilight on the other hand took a deep breath and waved at her friends with a charming smile the group was stunned as if they hadn't seen her this happy in a while. "Well... y'all don't need to stop on our account Twi'." Applejack said as she took a seat with them, a grin cresting the farmer's lips. "Indeed, I do say we aren't foals we can handle some intimacy." Rarity added, taking a seat besides Applejack. "Yeah, if you both want to like... engage in sappy mushy stuff then go ahead." Rainbow Dash said, with her trademark cocky grin cresting her lips. "Oh...My... yes, it was... pretty adorable." Fluttershy whispered, barely audible over the soft hum of the oven in the kitchen, though everyone giggled softly at the comment of the shy Pegasus. "Oh yes very much! Like it was super-duper cute! The way you were both blushing!" Pinkie piped in as she bounced onto the seat besides Fluttershy, placing a tray of warm cupcakes on the table, two for each of those present along with a large pitcher filled to the brim with cool lemonade. The party lasted until early evening with much talking about initially Twilight and Luna in their new found relationship, before slowly shifting to relationships in general. And then eventually devolving into idle gossip of who would be a nice match for whom around town; which Rainbow used to make a jab at both Rarity and Applejack. Soon after though it had shifted to playing board games with one another, the kind of social games that were perfect to embarrass couples, and unfortunately Luna and Twilight repeatedly found themselves on the receiving end of the other five girls' teasing. Things ranged from having to kiss each other to having to dance, although revenge eventually had been theirs as they had gotten Applejack to kiss Rarity, and had Fluttershy do the same to Pinkie. Eventually though before everyone dispersed home Twilight excused herself saying she needed to run a small little errand before she and Luna had their date that night. Leaving the poor Princess of the Night to fend for herself as she was bombarded with question after question from the otters as to what their date would be, and Rarity brazenly asked what their plans would be after the date, to the shock of everypony gathered. Luna quickly managed to slip away though before the questions had managed to get too brazen for her liking, yet Rarity's question had lodged itself in her mind with a vengeance; she could not get it out of her mind no matter what. *** Twilight's cheeks were a little flushed, she'd caught the question Rarity had even dared to ask Royalty, the fashionista had managed to stun everyone and leave them staring with mouth agape, her sheer audacity of asking that wasn't lost on Twilight; it had caused her to think though. She loved Luna she had no doubt of this even now her heart ached to be with the blue haired woman, her entire being urged her to go back and be close to her. But she needed to get a gift for her, something special for tonight, she wanted to get her something sweet though and not overly ornate. Slowing her pace Twilight walked the streets, knowing most of the inhabitants of Ponyville it wouldn't be hard to get something nice at this late hour, though her mind raced at what she wanted to get her, Luna is a Princess... what could I possibly offer her as a gift... the stipend Celestia gives me as her student should be enough but... She sighed as her thoughts spiralled and threatened to go out of control. Twilight took deep breath as she considered for a moment her stipend was enough to get Luna something very nice, and live comfortable for the rest of the month. She sighed deeply, her eyes closed for a moment of silent contemplation, allowing her mind to clear. Then she felt it, the impact with someone that stood about half her height, in surprise Twilight fell backwards onto her rump, looking into the miss matched magenta and red eyes of a rather young girl, on her back Terre was one pure white wing, and an azure wing, from the top of her Head sprouted a single slender white horn, her left hand was nearly manicured while the other was more claw like in its nature. She offered the manicured hand to Twilight with a small smirk, a smirk that was very reminiscent of someone she knew, mischievous intent playing on that smile and in her mismatched eyes. The girl could almost pass for a unicorn, if it wasn't for the wings that is. "Y-you're... Eris..." Twilight managed to say as she accepted the hand and stood up with a small smile on her lips, eyeing the girl up and down who looked a bit less chaotic than her father did. "What are you doing here? Where is your father?" Twilight asked with a measure of worry. "Oh he is still up in Canterlot, I came here to see you actually..." she said, pausing for a moment as her eyes shone with joy rather than the mischievous intent "I heard him and mother talk about you and Lulu, I... couldn't help but... well... you're looking for a gift yes?  Give her this." Eris offered Twilight a small box, her lips curling into a small grin as she watched the Princess of Friendship opening the box, and letting out a sigh of relief as it didn't explode in her face. "I... made it myself." She stated proudly. "It's... beautiful, how did you know..." "Sparkle, a Lady never reveals her secrets." She said with a playful wink, "Just know, that chaos magic can be used for more than just evil." Twilight chuckled so fly and closed the box, slipping the small thing into her pocket "I owe you Eris, this... this means a lot." She whispered softly assaulting the girl with a tight friendly embrace, and a kiss on the forehead. "H-hey no need to thank me... Sparkle. It's the least I could do for one of the women who, saved my father from himself." She smiled quite fondly, gently patting Twilight on the shoulder, flapping her wings to get into the air and then lounging on her back defying the laws of gravity, wings nestled behind her back in a resting position. "Besides... you and Lulu make a cute couple, consider it both a thank you and good luck present." Twilight smiled as she watched the levitating Eris, perking her eyebrow for a moment, before watching her slowly fade away as if she had never even existed leaving the stunned Twilight behind staring off into space unable to find any words as a response. Then a thought crossed her mind who... is her mother? I mean she must be a unicorn... seeing she only had one horn. Twilight thought, but quickly filed that away for later, she had to get to the library to Luna, smiling happily as she walked. Twilight reached the library with a small pant, she didn't even realise that she had started running, she knew she was excited but... her heart was still fluttering as she watched Luna open the door for her, Twilight grinned in such a silly sheepish manner she was sure she looked quite insane. Stepping into her own library she hooked an arm around Luna's waist gently pulling her into a sweet adoring little kiss, her other arm hooking around Luna's neck as she stared lovingly into those deep expressive blue eyes. "I missed you..." she mumbled softly, her cheeks growing just a little flustered at admitting that. Luna chuckled softly kissing Twilight on the nose "I missed you too... if we're being honest." The pause between them was long and each seemed content to just admire the other, before Luna eventually brought Twilight's attention back to reality slipping from her embrace "If... you don't mind I took the liberty of... setting up one of the reading alcoves with... a more suitable atmosphere" Luna said with a shy tone to her voice her eyes wandering to Twilight as if seeking approval from the much younger Alicorn. "Luna whatever you did I am sure it... is... whoa" Twilight tried to say, though she stood there with eyes wide and in stunned silence, she blinked slowly taking in the amount of effort Luna had put into decorating the little reading corner in the library, she swallowed a little and spoke "it... is... perfect." *** The entire corner of the alcove had been decorated with a multitude of candles, some rather plain, red ones but others heart shaped  scented candles, it caused Twilight to swoon just a little, Luna's hand stabilising her as she took in the scene, pillows had been scattered on the around making for a Rather comfortable looking nest, a bottle of wine, a very expensive bottle of wine lay in a bucket of ice with two glasses that stood on the nearby table, and then her eyes fell onto the book. "L-Luna... t-that book" she whispered softly, averting her gaze knowing its reputation for being suggestive. "What about it Twilight? Have you already read it?" "N-no it's just... uhm..." she mumbled quietly the rest unable to make it at all audible in her embarrassment, causing Luna to smirk playfully at Twilight. "What was that? I can't hear you Twilight." "It's s-saucy..." she tried to be polite in her use of words, cheeks flushed brightly. "Is that not part of the fun of reading a romance novel together?" she asked with a playful smirk playing on her lips. "If you wish... I could fetch something along the lines of Harlots in a Hot Night instead?" Luna's voice took a more suggestive edge now. Luna's grin grew as she heard the tell-tale sound of Twilight's wings spreading out in response to the excitement. "N-No! T-this will do!" Twilight stammered her cheeks even brighter now as she was reminded of the book she had been reading the night before, the one she had left on her nightstand in plain sight for Luna to see. "O-ooh Celestia... y-you saw that..." "It's hard to miss..." Luna chuckled softly. Twilight felt as if she was about to melt a hole into the ground her eyes shifted away Luna entirely now. "S-so... Uhm... The Mistress' Fancy... shall we?” she smiled a little as she read the name of the book, her heart beating faster than she was comfortable with right now. She took deep breath and followed Luna into the sea of pillows, lying down beside her snuggling close to Luna as she kissed her cheek tenderly "You're the cheekiest mare alive... Picking such a book for our first read together." She slowly calmed down as she heard Luna chuckle, seeing the faint blush on her cheeks. She eventually managed to get her wings under control as she calmed down, slipping one arm around Luna pulling her into a gentle and close embrace, watching as Luna opened the book with a small smile playing on her lips, leaning her cheek against Twilight's they both started to read, finding that they have a similar pace when it came to reading, Twilight could easily keep up with Luna's perhaps extraordinarily quick reading, any normal person would have been horrified at the speed they both had. The novel was an interesting concept Twilight found out, the book focused on a Princess of ancient times before the formation of equestrian, a Unicorn falling for the brash charms of a Pegasus soldier, during a time when the tribes still warred with one another. The main focuser though was on their relationship, and how they had to keep secret the things that they did. It was a sweet, passionate story about forbidden love; something that Twilight had not been expecting, she'd always heard the book was more pornographic in nature, sure there were sex scenes but they were rather tame in comparison to other things she had read in the past. She was enjoying it though, the enjoyment only amplified by Luna pressed against her side. They spent most of the time like this snuggled up without words spoken just the occasional nuzzle or shared peck on the lips. As the pages turned and the bottle of wine was drained though they slowly felt their attention shift away from the book and more towards each other, Twilight in particular didn't have much resistance to alcohol her cheeks were flushed but not from embarrassment as she kissed Luna gently her eyes locked with the Princess of the night, as she levitated over a second bottle, Luna was initially confused as it looked more like scotch than wine though with a deep amber liquid, pouring the glasses revealed it to be a more wine like apple cider. Another few hours of Reading passed and, the book had shifted more towards darker kind of lovemaking leaving both Princesses blushing furiously, the bottle of apple wine was already half empty. Twilight shifted a little snuggling closer to Luna as they read in explicit detail how the Princess Liara was dominating her bound, pleading lover forcing her to beg to be allowed her sweet release. Both girls shot one another a look, the kind of curious glance that asked I wonder if she'd like that... But no words were spoken they instead blushed bashfully like shy teenagers discussing boys. Twilight cursed herself for a moment as she felt a familiar heat building in her loins from reading the rather intense final chapter her eyes closed firmly as she pushed the mental images away, instead, focusing on Granny Smith. Rather than the sexy woman that lay snuggled against her; it was... only marginally effective, enough to get her thoughts away from pouncing Luna then and there though. Which filled her with relief as that’d be rather inappropriate for a first date... or so she had read? Luna on the other hand was the perfect image of joy and calm, she had clearly enjoyed the experience of reading with Twilight, and leaned in to sweetly kiss her on the lips as the book as levitated back towards the adult section of the library.  A hand slowly ran through Twilight's hair as she pulled her closer. Both tipsy girls let go then and there, Luna with a hand around the small of Twilight's back drew the slightly taller woman on top of herself, not allowing Twilight to ever break the kiss, her fingers ran through Twi’s hair, though she did not grip it. Twilight's mind was a mess at that point she shivered and pressed herself firmly against Luna's body their breasts squished together as she kissed the smaller Princess deeply, one hand on Luna's shoulder while the other hand ran through her hair she kissed deeply, and passionately. The alcohol has crippled her normally logical mind and she worked on pure instinct right now, taking the lead in the kiss she kept Luna gently pressed against the sea of pillows hand subtly gripping her hair as she drew back from the kiss, ensuring Luna couldn't follow her and continue the kiss. "Luna... I have a present for you" Twilight cooed in such a sultry tone she wasn't even sure that she herself was the one who had actually said it, though her magic slowly levitated the box to Luna with a small grin playing onto her lips, the novel fresh in her mind she leaned to whisper, her soft moist tongue lapping at Luna's earlobe "But you have to ask me really nicely" she cautioned her voice a mixture of stern, playfully and... lewd. It made Luna blush furiously, her legs squirming, thighs rubbing together, she was nervous seeing this side of her Twilight, although it was not unpleasant in the least, Luna had to admit she liked this side just as much as she liked the adorkable student she knew. "P-please may I have it?" she asked her voice tiny, as tiny as she felt right now underneath Twilight had her thoroughly pinned, although, the realisation of how similar this was to the book they had read together was not lost on her. "P-pretty please?" "N'aww how could I refuse that request!" Twilight Giggled and lay the present on Luna's chest, slowly allowing her to sit up, though not leaving her lap at all, noticing her skirt was almost entirely pressed up on her thoughts from her position, the black lace panties barely even concealed, although they were still out of sight from Luna at least. "You may open it." She chuckled softly as she watched Luna open the box. Stunned, that was her initial reaction; and then the tears came as she looked up at Twilight, a smile on her lips as the tears of joy ran freely.  She took the necklace from the box, and examined it a lot closer, the moonstone and amethyst necklace was beautiful, both the pure white moonstone, and the Amethyst were set in a silver pendant, showing Luna's cutie mark, with Twilight's cutie mark in the centre, the crescent moon framing the six pointed star perfectly. She threw her arms around Twilight and kissed her deeply, passionately. "T-Twilight! It... It is beautiful!" "Just like the woman who will be wearing it." Twilight said, her words slightly slurred though delivering it with the loving adoring tone as she wrapped Luna in her arms, and wings tightly. Luna blushed at the compliment, and eagerly slipped the necklace around her slender neck smiling warmly, shivering a little as she felt the slightly cold gold caressing her warm skin, her arms once more wrapped around Twilight who was, still straddling her lap but she didn't care all she cared about right now was getting this woman wrapped even closer to herself, and In a  moment of brazenness that shocked even the inebriated Twilight she pulled her closer by the collar of her blouse softly biting her on the neck. Enjoying the small mewls and whines she coaxed from Twilight as she bit her collarbone. "L-Luna! O-oh my..." Twilight whimpered faintly as she managed to draw her sensitive neck away from Luna's lips though remaining snuggled close nestled in the sea of pillows with her; panting softly as she looked at her beloved Princess. "I-I t-take it you enjoyed our date then?" She asked her breathing ragged, though desperately trying to bite back the arousal, even though it was rather likely written on her face by now, after Luna's little assault. She kept her gaze focused on Luna's eyes even as she felt the hands straying along her sides and back gently stroking along her form, the touch was... maddening for Twilight as mentally she was screaming for Luna to make the first move of where to go from here. "Yes, I... I would like to read more often with you Twilight. It was a really nice evening" She whispered softly both her hands shifting in opposite directions, one resting on the Princess of Friendship's lower back while the other rested just below the armpit, she kissed her again. Her own chest pressed against Twilight's, breathing slowly as she shifted a little her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, nervous as she looked up at Twilight. They remained like that for a long while, gently pecking kisses at one another, eventually shifting positions Twilight laying on top of Luna properly, their legs entwined, Twilight's thigh pressed between Luna's and vice versa. The silence stretched on a little longer than was perhaps comfortable for either princess, though Twilight was the first one to make a move, kissing Luna tenderly on the lips, a hand slowly shifting down along her side, cupping and caressing Luna's outer thigh experimentally, the touch light and perhaps a little unsure, though becoming more firmly as she felt Luna shift and softly mewl at the touch. "O-ooh..." Luna tried biting back the little mewl, though it failed rather spectacularly, feeling Twilight's soft hand on her thigh was just too much and Luna couldn't hold back as she slowly shifted her hand lower; from Twilight's lower back to her behind, softly massaging, her touch was cautious, that is until she heard the slightly drunk Twilight let out an unrestrained moan, back arching as she felt Luna caress her behind. Emboldened by the action Luna slowly started hiking up Twilight's skirt. "L-Luna! N-not here!" *** The door slammed open with a loud thud, almost knocking a glass off the night stand. Twilight and Luna stumbled inside both of them were in various stages of undress; locked in a heated and very passionate kisses, the former of the two already missing a couple of buttons from her blouse. Luna had been perhaps a little too eager to undo the studious womens top. She got what she wanted though unrestricted access to Twilight's breasts for her to grope and massage. The Princess of the night was already stripped down to her underwear and stockings. Both Princesses had left a trail of clothing scattered from the reading area to the bedroom door. Luna slowly broke the kiss, flashing Twilight a devilish grin as she pushed the blouse off her lover's shoulders and allowed it to be discarded in the doorway leaving both of them in their underwear, blushing shyly. In a flash of magic Twilight levitated Luna onto the bed, a sultry grin flashed across the Princess of Friendship's visage. She glanced at Luna, hesitating for just a moment; the Princess of the Night looked at her with large pleading eyes. Twilight couldn't handle it, she pounced the smaller woman, lancing herself using her wings and landing softly on the bed; gently pinning Luna below her allowing a playful, taunting growl to pass her lips. Both Princesses wrestled for a moment on the rather small bed, though eventually it was Twilight who ended up in a position of dominance above her lover, a cocky grin on her lips as she bit down on Luna's neck, nibbling lightly at the sensitive skin. "L-Luna... do you... are you sure about this?" she asked in a slightly worried tone of voice. "Y-yes I do, Twilight" Luna whispered, squirming below her Alicorn lover with a small giggle. Her horn lit up with and azure magical aura, enveloping Twilight's bra with her magic; teleporting it away to the side of the bed, or at least that was her intent. The black lacy piece of underwear instead dematerialised from the room entirely and did not re-materialise anywhere in the room. Luna's face contorted with horror for a moment as realisation dawned on her where she had sent the lacy piece of lingerie; all Luna could do was softly mutter 'oops...’ It was soon forgotten though as she felt Twilight kissing down her neck in a slow sensual manner, nipping the skin just hard enough to elect cute mewls of pleasure from Luna. I... d-did not think she'd be this... good She thought to herself, feeling her cheeks heat up realising just how much she had underestimated Twilight Sparkle. Twilight's kisses left a small trail of saliva behind, causing Luna to shiver as she felt the room's slightly chilly air on her moistened skin. Twilight fumbled with the hook to Luna's bra for a moment, though quickly managed to pull the garment off allowing the Princess' lush breasts to spill free. She bit her lip as she looked at the two perfect handfuls, eagerly leaning in to take one nipple between her soft lips, while the other was being tended to by her index finger and thumb; coaxing shuddering moans from Luna as the nocturnal woman's nerves were filled with small shocks of pleasure under the younger Princess' ministrations. A shiver shot up along Luna's spine as she felt Twilight's free hand roaming down her body, slowly methodically caressing along her entire slender form. Her hand was barely even touching Luna's skin, the touch so light it was almost the ghost of a touch. The feeling was strange but oddly pleasant. She groaned out loudly as she felt the mixture of pain and pleasure running through her entire body, it took a moment for her to register that Twilight had actually bitten her nipple in between all the soft sensual touched. "A-Aahn!" Luna gasped as she felt the nipple being rolled between Twilight's teeth, never biting down too hard just enough pressure to make Luna experience the delicate balance between pain and pleasure. Twilight looked up at Luna, locking with her azure eyes, everything melted away in that moment; it was only her, Twilight and the overwhelming sense of pleasure building inside of her body. She gasped as Luna's hands firmly cupped her breasts, both the Princess' thumbs gently rubbing along the nipples electing cute whines of pleasure from Twilight in response. Twilight jerked up as she felt her nipples being teased with the almost cruel soft touch. Luna squealed the moment Twilight jerked up, her nipple had been so cruelly pulled by the taller woman, though it'd be a lie to even claim that the sensation didn't make her week in the knees. She laid there panting and whimpering softly as a primal lust gnawed at her mind, her mind obscured by a haze of lust rendering her unable to think straight. "Oooh did you like that Luna" Twilight cooed softly in a low sultry tone, her right hand snaking down along Luna's flat belly, barely touching the skin in the lightest kind of playful caress "Do you want this?" She asked as her fingers slowly teased at the rim of Luna's satin panties threatening with invasion but never giving her the satisfaction of it. "Y-yes I do," she breathed heavily as her eyes rolled back in her head a shudder of anticipation running through her petite body. She spread her slender legs offering her most intimate parts to Twilight "P-please?" She whimpered pleadingly, unable to hold back the desperate need in her voice. "Please who?" Twilight cooed, her voice was soft and caring thought here was a core of sternness to it, making the younger princess sound almost predatory. "P-please Twilight, I-I need you" Luna whined desperately, gasping loudly as she was rewarded by the hand slipping down her panties, two slender fingers assailing the entrance to Luna's warm moist core, gently rubbing her labia in her typical methodical manner. Driving Luna up the wall with how long it took before penetration even occurred. Twilight leaned closer, biting her ear with a low sultry moan, two fingers slowly pressing into just the tips of her fingers into Luna's moist womanhood. "O-ooh... you're so wet Luna, you must have been wanting this all day" Twilight whispered her tone lewd and suggestive as the fingers slowly sunk into Luna's dripping, aching core, grinning as she heard the sweet shuddering moan she elected from the Princess, she closed her eyes and savoured the moment fingers buried three knuckles deep inside of her lover unmoving, her tongue slowly running along Luna's earlobe which sweet little taunting moans. Twilight's victim started whimpering in pure desperate need, the unmoving fingers even more torturous than the teasing at the rim of her panties, desperately Luna rocked her hips trying to ineffectively pleasure herself against Twilight's delicate fingers; it was enough to drive a woman mad with desire. The aching need deep inside of her to be rutted started to overwhelm any semblance of reason that was left in her lust addled mind. Luna quickly devolved into a whimpering whining mess, desperately begging Twilight "P-please Twilight... rutt me... PLEASE!" Finally she had the Princess where she wanted her, desperately begging for her attention. Twilight grinned down at her and shifted her fingers, almost pulling them out and then thrusting them in again at a gentle pace at first, enjoying Luna's cute squeaking moans each time Twilight buried her fingers deeply into the Princess' aching needy core. The tips of her fingers running carefully along the woman's g-spot every time after she'd managed to find it, playing Luna like an intricate instrument coaxing cute little moans and squeals from her lover in every way that she could, and she loved every moment of it. Luna tensed up, her eyes closed firmly, her entire body writhed with pure pleasure from Twilight's passionate finger work. A shudder ran up her spine each time she felt the magus' fingers ran along the sweet spot deep in her core. She watched Twilight shifting down towards her womanhood; her eyes snapped open wide as she felt her lover’s soft lips wrap around her little pleasure centre, making Luna squeal out in pure bliss as she felt Twilight starting to suckle at the sensitive bundle of nerves. It was then Luna realised just how long it had been since she had properly made love to someone, sure she'd had sex but... Twilight was spoiling her compared to the more primal rutting she’d had in the past years. The sensation was too much to handle for Luna that "AH! T-Twi... g-going to CUM!" She squealed loudly as the climax almost instantly washed over her senses, overwhelming them with pure bliss, more than she'd felt in ages, her love juices gushed forth from her womanhood coating Twilight's hand, and her breasts in a healthy amount of her juices. Luna screamed loud enough to probably wake up anyone in the Library if they hadn't been alone. "W-whoa..." Twilight whispered softly amazed at the Lunar Princess’ powerful climax, her fingers still gently thrusting into Luna's tightening core, allowing her to ride the waves of pleasure for as long as physically possible, she giggled a little as she leaned in to sample the taste of Luna's juices in the moment her beloved started coming down from her orgasm induced high. She noted that her lover tasted sweet, or at least in her mind she did. Looking up she noticed Luna's unfocused eyes, and the silly grin cresting her lips. Before Twilight even registered it she craved more of the sweetness she had tasted, not a moment later she found herself burying her tongue deeply into Luna's warm, moist core lapping at her hungrily. "O-oh, T-Twi! Goddess... D-don't you dare even stop!" Luna gasped the meek order at her lover, hands slowly running through Twilight's hair. Her hips gyrating against the tongue as she allowed long drawn out groans of pleasure to escape her mouth. She felt the muscles in her belly tighten, still sensitive from her previous orgasm she quickly approached her second one. She felt an overwhelming primal need running through her entire body, gripping her Twilight's hair a bit more firmly she started to rock her hips roughly, which to her shock only seemed to spur the Princess of Friendship on to greater heights of passion. Burying her tongue deeper inside of Luna’s core, Twilight pressed her nose against her clitoris in a surprising display of skill. Twilight could feel it. She could feel Luna wouldn't last much longer, the tightening of her velvety inner walls indicated that well enough. She illuminated her horn, and allowed her magenta magical aura surround Luna’s clitoris, allowing small sparks of magic to send what felt like pure pleasure coursing through through Luna's system. It was too much for the Princess of the night to handle. She came then and there, her scream wasn't as loud as the previous, but her body seemed quite overwhelmed by the sensation of pure pleasure rolling through her lithe form. Twilight eagerly accepted her lovers ejaculate, hungrily lapping up every last drop that she could, while the rest dribbled on to the sheets below. Luna shuddered, her entire body slowly relaxing after her second climax, a sheepish grin on her lips as she looked down at Twilight. "I... I guess I... owe you?" she whispered pure bliss laced in her gentle loving voice. Shifting up she pulled Twilight towards the headboard of the bed, laying her lover gently on the pillows. The two women shared a deep passionate kiss, their tongues wrestling with the other’s in an impressive display of lust fueled passion, moaning softly as she caught the sweet taste of her own juices. "T-Twi... I'm going to do something special for you okay?" Twilight nodded gently as she looked at Luna, her lips curling into a loving smile. "A-anything  Luna, as long as it's you." Luna slowly shifted back away from Twilight, offering her a calm gentle smile visibly calming any lingering doubts Twilight had in her eyes. Luna’s cyan eyes focused on Twilight as her horn slowly illuminated the midnight blue aura the magic snaking its way down Luna’s own body in an awe inspiring display of magic. All the magic coalesced around her core, starting to shift and form a rather impressive phallic shape, it wasn't anything lifelike though it was perhaps a little intimidating to Twilight as she shifted uncomfortable a mixture of curiosity, fear and genuine arousal. She bit her lip and stared at what was essentially a magical strap on, her mind wandering and wondering what that would feel like inside of her aching, throbbing core. It took Twilight a moment, and soft comforting smile from her lover but she eventually shifted into a comfortable position; her legs spread and her aching, moist core presented for the nocturnal Princess. Twilight shot Luna a rather shy come hither look B-be gentle please?" She whispered softly, trace amounts of fear hidden behind a layer of arousal. She reached out to bring the other Princess into a rough and passionate kiss, melting as she felt the pressure and warmth of Luna's soft lips on her own. She gasped gently as the surprisingly warm tip of the magical appendage pressed against her moist needy core; a mewl of pleasure escaped her lips as she felt the toy gently rubbing up and down along her drooling slit each rub between her delicate folds ended with its tip pressing down firmly on her clitoris. Luna giggled just a little as she drew back from the kiss, admiring the furiously blushing Twilight Sparkle that lay there trembling with anticipation and need. Grasping at the sheets with both her hands "You... look cute like that, my love" Luna whispered finally allowing the magical toy to slowly sink into Twilight's delicate womanhood coaxing a low lewd squeal of pleasure from the slightly taller woman. Luna softly nibbled at the tender skin of Twilight's neck electing a small mewling moan before coaxing a louder one as she hilted the toy deep inside of her beloved. Luna stayed like that for a moment giving Twilight the chance to get used to the magical toy's size; and allowing the toy to perfectly shape itself to Twilight's tight core. Gently she began to run her horn along Twilight's gazing affectionately in those deep, expressive purple eyes; she didn't say anything there wasn't any need for words. Luna's actions spoke for themselves an ancient intimate Unicorn practice, her deep midnight blue aura mixed with Twilight's magenta aura each seeping into the other's horn as they allowed their very magical essence to intertwine. She moaned loudly as she felt Twilight instinctively reciprocating the intimate unicorn mating ritual, a feeling of pure pleasure washing over them both as their magic became one, linking their minds at the same instant connected in such an intimate manner that no other race could imagine the bond’s significance. It left them both wondering how they had ever lived without being thise close to another being. Twilight let out a deeper more primal moan as she felt their magic coalescing, her thoughts, desires, wishes, hopes, dreams and memories were now Luna's as much as Luna's were now hers; she felt overwhelmed by the pleasure, not only was she experiencing her own core being firmly rutted by her beloved. She also experienced how Luna took her pleasure during the act. Twilight's hips instinctively started rocking against the slightly vibrating shaft. She couldn't restrain the sweet gleeful moans as her beloved started to fuck her in an almost primal  wild manner, each thrust deep and powerful, it made her entire form quiver with undiluted pleasure she hardly registered the certain thoughts she’d never imagined the most recurring was her baring Luna’s child. She wasn’t sure whose thoughts they were though she no longer cared as she screamed in the throes of ecstasy. "Luna! Harder please! O-ooh I'm going to..." she panted heavily for breath, another loud moan interrupted her sentence before screaming louder "cumming! Luna! I-I love you!” She managed to get her sentence out as she felt the powerful climax ripple through her entire body, an overwhelming sense of bliss filled every inch of Twilight. Her back arched and her core gushing a generous amount of juices coating her own and Luna's thighs with her arousal. "Oooh my... T-Twilight are you alright?" Luna asked looking worried for a moment, her arms wrapped around her lover, a hand running softly through Twilight’s hair as she allowed her to come down from her high. "That... looked intense." Luna couldn't help but giggle at the silly smile plastered on Twilight's lips in that moment, leaning in gently she let their lips lock and her arms wrap around the panting woman's form holding her close. The magical toy quickly disappearing into nothingness leaving Twilight feeling empty. Though she could also feel Luna, the bond still active even after their magic had died down. Right… it lasts until dispelled… Twilight reminded herself through the haze of pleasure that lingered in her form. Twilight groaned a little as she cuddled close to Luna, a stray thought crossed her mind, a flash of both women in a wedding gown though she wasn't sure if it was her or Luna's at the moment. She shook her head a little as a small blush crossed both their cheeks, it wasn't hers or Luna's it was theirs now. "I... I am fine, Luna. Sorry I've never... linked before." She whispered in a soft gentle voice, at least she thought she did. Luna smiled gently as she curled up against Twilight, softly trailing small little kisses along the back of the other woman's neck, gently moving to kiss along the throat coaxing a gentle murmur from the still rather starstruck Twilight. She couldn't help but smile while curling up against the woman she loved so much. She giggled softly as she watched Twilight turning to face her, gently nuzzling her cheek before seeking out Luna's lips for a little kiss, more chaste and loving rather than the previous kisses filled with overwhelming passion that they had shared on their way to the bed. Twilight tenderly cupped Luna's cheek, gazing lovingly into her eyes as she whispered "Thank you, Luna." She spoke in a gentle sweet tone of voice. "It was my pleasure Twi. I had fun tonight." The Princess of the Night whispered softly. Slowly Twilight urged the other princess to turn around, gently nudging her onto her side, so she could wrap around Luna in the manner the smaller princess seemed to enjoy ever so much. It didn't take long for her legs to be entwined with Luna's, her wing wrapped around the princess' form. Her right arm acting as an improvised pillow for Luna, their fingers entwined. Luna murmured softly her back pressing against Twilight’s front, melting away in the warm and safe embrace of her lover "T-Twilight, are you... comfortable?" She asked, shivering a little as she felt her lover's lips press against her back of her neck, the warm breath rolling down her skin. "With you, I will always be comfortable." She whispered softly, burying her face into Luna's hair, letting out a gentle coo of pleasure as she took in the gentle and soothing natural scent of her lover’s hair, it was akin to the kind of earthy scent left after a rainstorm. It entirely relaxed her; for once Twilight's mind was entirely on pause as she firmly pressed Luna against herself. Luna giggled ever so softly in response. Her eyes already closed as she mumbled something incoherently, though it came down to something along the lines of "I love you Twi" among a mixture of other words of adoration and sweet nothings. The Princess of the night had a large smile on her lips, relaxing fully against Twilight's form showing that she indeed felt safe in her lover's arms. "I love you too, Luna" Twilight whispered softly, kissing Luna's earlobe. Twilight couldn't help but smile. She nestled herself against Luna with allowing her eyes to close as well, though sleep didn't grab her instantly; at least she didn't allow it to. She desired to bask in the warmth and scent of her lover for as long as she could before sleep takes her. I... never want this to end she thought to herself, snuggling as tightly to Luna as she physically could I feel so much... better, happier being near her. She sighed softly as her eyes slipped closed slowly as sleep set its claws upon her and slowly dragged Twilight away from the waking world to join Luna in the land of dreams. *** Discord brought the simple wooden pipe to his lips and slowly took a pull, taking in a breath's worth of cherry flavoured smoke. Unlike old grey man beside him he didn't smoke tobacco; instead he smoked something of his own making that had no side effects... at least not on him. Releasing the breath her blow out a series of smoke rings, each one smaller than the latter. "It has been too long since I visited you, Master" He said with a fond smile on his lips, casting his read eyes to meet with age worn yellow eyes. "Discord, please my time is soon, stop being so formal." He replied with a small kind smile, a hand resting on Discord's shoulder giving a gentle squeeze. "I know, but old habits die hard don't they, Starswirl?" He chuckled softly, slowly pulling a glass bottle from his simple brown bag, offering it to the old man "And something shouldn't change right, Archmage?" Starswirl cocked his eyebrow as he took the bottle of amber liquid; inspecting its label with a small approving hum, conjuring up two small glasses with ice cubes in them "This must be bad... If you brought the scotch." The elderly wizard looked up at his former apprentice with a small, almost playful grin. "Yes..." He sighed softly; accepting one of the glasses and draining it in one go. "It's about Luna," Discord started taking a deep breath to reinforce his composure "she's been hurt. Well, was hurt she has recovered as much as one can recover from losing one's wings." He didn't look to his former mentor, staring off into the distance, off into the endless fields. There was a long pause; the only thing breaking it was the rustle of the wind in the nearby tree, and the shattering of glass as it fell off the side of the overlook. Discord could feel the hand on his shoulder again as he heard the rustle of robes, "I... That is distressing news young-one." He sighed deeply, "Please tell me you're not thinking about... that." "S-shouldn't I? I owe it to Luna and so do you, Master. It's the only way to get her wings back without... without.. what turned me into… this." He looked at the elderly wizard, his tone somber  "Please Master? I've never asked anything of you... but this I need. If I hadn't been too late this wouldn't have happened." He sighed deeply and stood up, bottle in hand taking a deep swig from it. His eyes closed as the amber liquid burned on the way down his throat, his eyes settling on Discord with a small frown "Fine, but you owe me for this one, Apprentice." He said his voice turning to more of a stern grandfatherly tone, starting to walk away motioning for Discord to follow "Follow along now, and try to keep up with this old man... lest you break time itself...." He cast an accusatory glance at the lord of chaos. Discord shrunk under the stern gaze, his cheeks a flushed a little "Yes, of course, Master". *** Twilight sighed loudly as she returned from the bathroom once more, brushing her teeth as she walked into the kitchen with a scowl on her delicate features. "I swear if I throw up one more time..." she muttered softly, her magic starting to work the coffee maker. She added two slices of toast to the toaster with a small groan even the thought of eating was too much for her right, even when sick I need to eat... she reprimanded herself, for even entertaining the thought of skipping breakfast. "That was what, the fourth time?" She asked herself aloud, spitting the toothpaste into the sink and rinsing her mouth with lukewarm water. In a moment of frustration she threw her brush onto the counter and set to fixing herself with honeyed toast. She needed to eat that much was clear to her; preparing two plates, one for herself and the other for Luna. She cast a glance over her shoulder and smiled as she watched Luna slowly make her way down the stairs into the kitchen, "Good morning my angel" Twilight cooed and pulled Luna into a gentle, chaste little kiss on the lips. "Somepony is happy?" Luna chuckled softly after returning the kiss, taking a seat at the table. "Well not every day you... excuse me." Twilight said quickly cutting herself off, grabbing her toothbrush and darting into the toilet. She left behind a confused looking Luna, that is until she heard the tell-tale sounds of someone losing whatever little was left in her stomach, and then continuing to dry-heave for a good few minutes before returning, brushing her teeth again. "Are you... alright?" Twilight sighed and nodded gently "Yeah... I think that was the last of it." She mumbled dismissively. Breakfast didn't go much different though as Twilight had to quickly run to the bathroom during their hour long chat about what they were going to be doing that day; although they quickly decided not to much that day, making it a simple and relaxed kind of day. "Twilight, are you sure you're alright?" Luna asked, casting a concerned glance to her mate, "That is the fourth time, since I got down here that you've run to the bathroom claiming you are going to be sick... I mean my cooking skills are perhaps dated but they are not that disagreeable right?" Luna asked, pondering the pancakes she's made for breakfast to surprise Twilight that morning; unable to even imagine what might have been wrong with them, she'd followed Spike's instructions to the letter. "I don't know Luna... It might just be me coming down with something." Twilight groaned a little as she sunk into the couch besides her girlfriend, burying her head in the other woman's neck; taking in Luna's scent, after the shower this morning she noticed it had shifted to being more of an earthy scent, after a rainstorm had passed. Twilight relaxed her lover's scent enough to drive away the thoughts of being ill. "It... could also be the stress of our magical union last night?" She whispered, her cheeks growing hotter in response. "I... that could not be Twilight, such is unheard of.” Luna assured her with a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Maybe we should call the local doctor? J-just to be safe?" "If that is what you require for your nerves to be calmed Twilight." Luna chuckles softly running a hand through her lover's hair, "If you want... I know some basically medical magic?" Twilight looked up meeting Luna's azure eyes. She gave her a small nod whispering "That would put my mind at ease, my love." The younger of the two Princesses admitted with a small blush crossing her cheeks. She slowly pulled away from Luna and sat straight in the couch, or as straight as one could with their legs pulled to her side. She closed her eyes as she felt Luna's hand brightening along her silk pyjama clad side. "Don't worry you won't feel a thing" she said softly, in her sweet comforting voice. Luna took a deep breath as she allowed her blue glowing hands to slowly run from the tip of Twilight's horn down her body slowly, inching her way down methodically. The spell was simple it would mentally register with Luna if something felt off, or was damaged; not as precise as a doctor could do it but accurate enough for something simple as making sure your lover had no major issues. Even though the spell was usually used on children, Luna couldn't help but chuckle internally at the thought of seeing Twilight as a child. "I can't see anything wrong Twi..." She whispered gently moving down further, past her lover's breasts and along her stomach down to her... Luna froze, her eyes snapping open as she looked at Twilight. "T-Twilight... what are your symptoms? All of them... no matter how embarrassing my love" she said, her voice more commanding than it was questioning, earning a visibly startled look from Twilight. "Well... it started this morning when I woke up, I needed to pee... really badly." She whispered softly "I felt... like I had run a marathon when I got back upstairs; then again I felt like that the moment I woke up too..." She nodded gently her eyes locked with Luna's the only reason Twilight wasn't having one of her famous freak out moments was the gentle hand on her shoulder and Luna's calming gaze. "Then... When I sat down came the nausea... I ran down again but nothing came of course, when I crawled into bed I noticed..." She trailed off mumbling very softly in embarrassment. "That your breasts were tender?" She asked softly, her eyes narrowing a little, Luna tried to hide her worry for the sake of Twilight, though she couldn't entirely push it aside as she sat down, taking both of Twilight's hands after receiving an affirmative nod. "Twilight? I need you to listen to me, and to not freak out." Luna said softly as she lightly pulled her lover close holding her tightly for what was rather inevitable. "Luna? I... am an adult; I think I can handle it." "Twilight... you're..." She paused looking her lover in the eyes for a moment, reluctant to even say it. "I am what? I'm not dying am I?" "Whoa NO! By mother no... You’re... pregnant." She whispered the last word, a shudder running down her spine as she looked down at her beloved Twilight. The Princess of friendship slipped from the embrace and stood up, looking at Luna for a long moment, trapped in a limbo of emotions each trying to fight her way out first. Initially she watched Twilight tearing up. Though Luna found her hand slapped away the moment she tried to rest it on her shoulder. "W-what do you mean PREGNANT!?" She shouted slipping into a volume that would have made Luna proud, if the circumstances hadn't been so serious. She didn't have much more time to contemplate though as she watched Twilight's eyes roll back after the outburst and go limp. With a quick movement Luna shot forwards and grabbed her beloved, carrying her over to the couch, sighing gently as she softly stroked along Twilight's hair. Glancing over to the Kitchen, starting up the coffee maker without leaving Twilight's side, laying the poor passed out girl's head in her lap she gently strokes through her hair. "This... is going to be a long day." Luna sighed softly. <<<< To be Continued >>>>
