The One and Only chapter

It was a splendid Tuesday Morning.
The snow had fallen over Ponyville.
Many ponies would stay inside and sip hot cocoa while watching their favourite channel.
Pinkie Pie thought this was a waste of time. As long as you wore enough, clothing you could really go out there and enjoy yourself, such as having a BLAST!
Her friends thought the same. They were having the time of their lives, building snowball forts and making snow angels, but for once Pinkie wanted some alone time.
So she headed of to the waterhole.
The water was a light crystal blue, all thickly frozen underneath. There were sparkles now and then showing the reflection of the sunlight onto the ice. The place was quite isolated, many ponies preferred to go on sledge rides nowadays.
Pinkie dropped her skates onto the soft snow, that felt like whipped cream on a jam doughnut. She carefully knotted her laces and made sure to put Gummy the alligator in a warm spot where the sun was shining on.
Pinkie used her hoof to carefully feel the thickness of the ice before gracefully gliding onto frozen water.
"This is life..." She thought as she did a few pirouettes.
Pinkie loved feeling the adeline rush through her body as she quickly skated a few laps.
Pinkie felt herself leap off the ground, performing a spectacular Waltz Jump, a jump that was taken off one hoof doing a half turn in the middle and landing on the other hoof.
Pinkie couldn't stop smiling to herself. Oh the freedom and the wind in her mane! It felt like she didn't have a care in the world.
"No wonder Rainbow Dash loved flying so much." Pinkie thought.
Pinkie then performed a Salchow, a jump where she did several turns in midair. It almost felt like she was flying.
The sunlight made her feel like she was in the spotlight of everything, she felt like every pony was watching her. She could hear her name being called out.
"PINKIE PIE! PINKIE PIE!"
The only time Pinkie would feel this was on the ice. It was a talent none of her friends could do, just like throwing supaspectacular parties.
She did a few Toe Loops and Axels making a lovely pattern form over the solid water.
Pinkie knew she was the best Figure Skater in Ponyville. She was the lead pony during the Winter Wrap up when it came to cutting the clumps of ice.
Twilight always told her that her ability to skate so well was because she had great balance.
Pinkie Pie did another Axel and skated several times around the pattern she had formed.
It was some sort of a pony, with large ears, a small muzzle and long, long legs. She did a Waltz Jump and landed perfectly.
Pinkie heard clapping, but whenever she turned to see whom they were, they disappeared. As if they had a secret identity that nobody knew of. Kinda like Bon Bon.
Pinkie looked over to the spot underneath the tree where Gummy was sitting.
"I love you too Gummy!" She called before doing a pirouette.
Pinkie skated over to the alligator and picked him up, she held his front feet and swung him back and forth as if he was her dancing partner.
"Aren't you a good boy?" She asked him, in which he replied with a *Blink*
"Yes you are, yes you are..."
Gummy just blinked his purple eyes again. He opened his mouth, then closed it again without making a single sound.
Pinkie shrugged, she didn't know what sounds alligators make, but she was sure she could hear him talking to her with very sophisticated words.
"Of Course." She answered after he opened his mouth silently again.
"You can have all the cupcakes you want when we get home."
Gummy blinked.
Pinkie smiled warmly as she did a few laps around the rink (hand in hand with Gummy).
She wondered if the alligator loved the feeling as much as she did. She wondered if he enjoyed figure skating as well.
Pinkie wondered a lot about Gummy in her free time, she wanted to know if he liked to eat cupcakes as much as she did, or what he did when she went on friendship missions with her friends. Did he stay home and just sit there? Did he go on adventures with his friends as well. Sometimes Pinkie really wished that Gummy would talk aloud to her, but she knew that he did in his way.
He talked to her heart.
He gave excellent speeches that helped a lot with whom Pinkie was now.
Pinkie remembered why she loved Gummy more than anyone or anything in the entire universe. Because Gummy was Gummy. He may not be able to talk aloud. He may not be able to fly or help with farming. But Pinkie Pie knew that Gummy was Gummy and Gummy was the Gummy she loved. The Gummy she would watch movies with, the Gummy that went to all her parties. Gummy was her first real friend, and her bestest one. He was the one that would always be there when she was upset or hurt. He would be there when all her pony friends were busy doing there own stuff. He would be there when she was baking, eating, babysitting. He always had the best ideas.
He was Gummy, not any Gummy, her Gummy.
Pinkie Pie for a sudden stopped and gave Gummy the biggest hug she had ever even to any pony.
"What would I do without you, I wouldn't be capable of anything."
She said to Gummy receiving a blink.
"You're the best pet a pony would have."
And with that... the pair skated of into the distance.
And just maybe Pinkie Pie will one day realise that Gummy was the one clapping.
Because Gummy the alligator loved Pinkie Pie the Party Pony just as much.
