> My little undertale > by Storm Rival > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > What had happened to the man who speaks in hands? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Entry number: Seventeen Dark Darker Yet darker, The darkness keeps growing Shadows cutting deeper. Photon readings negative This next experiment seems Very Very Interesting What do you two think? That was my last log entry, before the unthinkable had happened... I'd been erased from their timeline forever and shattered across time and space. I don't have a clue on what had happened to my two sons Sans and Papyrus, however, all I know is that the shadows are letting up I can see light at the end of this tunnel. but what will my fate be? I haven't died have I? I still breathe and continue to exist through time and space. Even in the underground there are but hidden fragments of me. There are only three monsters who remember me, and only one child through which I can relay my message of lost hope. All I can do now is wait and see where this newfound light will take me. I must have determination, even though we monsters don't have a whole lot to begin with. For this shall be a new beginning for me, the man who speaks in hands, Wing Ding Gaster. The light is too bright, I must shield them In order to keep from going blind. I have for the longest time been engulfed an consumed by darkness. I feel warm, something I haven't felt in the longest time. The core is so cold, especially when my existence hung in the balance, but how was I pulled from there and why do I feel so heavy? I look at my body, the sun barraging me with this overwhelming warmness, the brightness making me cringe whenever I open my eyes. Perhaps I must wait for night fall to see where I am, if indeed I am still alive. This is already such a perplexing world. I hear voices, so wherever I am, I must be alive and able to communicate to whomever I wish. "Hello? is anyone there?" I say. "AAH! what is he saying!" I hear a child's voice say in a southern accent. "Wait!" I yelled, However that still made her scream in more terror. This must be a side effect of the core. Being erased from existence its self must mean, I speak a different Language, that or I'm nowhere near my underground home; or possibly both because I'm feeling warm ground and grass rather than the cold hard ground of the underground, even still in Hotland, I know that it was dark and dank. I wonder what king Asgore has done with my lab. I don't even know how long I was gone because this all seems like an eternity, which is feasibly impossible. My lab isn't though what's most important... Ever since that accident, I've missed my sons. I've heard murmurs from timelines of either them being killed by someone named Chara, who should have died the same day as Asriel, the prince, who I was tasked to save. Yet I hear that another human has done the complete opposite. Rather than drive the underground extinct she has befriended those who'd rather have nothing to do with her than gain their own liberation and revolution. Frisk I'd heard her name as being, the one to bring back... That should be impossible, nothing except my experiment should have saved the prince, and together they bridged the gap between monsters and humans. I must get back to the underground somehow, some way, perhaps by writing I can commune with whatever lives here. I know my writing is terrible and I know that this condition may make it worse, all I can hope for is that somebody would heed me and aid in my return home. Night approaches, as it gets darker I find that i'm finally able to see. I have found that I am a... Well what Am I? I have four apendages as it seems, flesh, fur, and the ends of my hands should have fingers or finger bones, but rather I find that I have hooves, flatfooted hooves. I must find out where I am, and how to walk. After a good fifteen minutes of figuring out how to walk, I find that instead of being the skeleton that I should be I'm a thing that's on the surface rather than underground. We monsters have been trapped for so long that we've even forgotten the earth's normal biology and adapted to live solely upon what we've been given. Wind blows and I finally find how harsh a night can be for the unprepared. I finally see where I'm at. Dense trees cover the canopy of a forest, the moon shines above it seems unusal as to how large it is, however looking at the small light that shines gives me a headache. I find that there is nothing in this forest, the only thing I do see is a castle over in the distance. Its old and worn, it also seems as though a battle had taken place there, a mighty hefty battle at that, as the ceiling had been ripped away and age definatly shown upon it. Had someone possessed the machine I'd made Asriel's husk for battle? No, its impossible. It takes an incredible amount of determination to power, and an incredible amount of souls. I continue the other direction for another place to stay. While I do enjoy history, I don't want to pay homage to what looks like a horrible loss in this place, especially if the inhabitants remark the place in such scorn to never restore it. Eventually I come across a hut in the forest, I hear random sayings in a language I don't know. I knock on the door to be friendly and as I do, something comes and greets me at the door. "A pony, or a zeebra do I see?" I heard from the zebra. I tried to speak "I am neither I am a monster from Asgore's underground kingdom." "and such a horrible tone you screech." I stop talking and try to sign asking for paper. "Now, what does it seem? You wish some parchment to write your horrible scream?" I nod keeping my mouth shut. The zebra hands me a pen and puts a piece of paper on the table. "Write, good colt, for I know that your voice provides such a jolt." I tried my hooves at writing however the quill I was handed broke. I was heartbroken that my only attempt to write was hindered upon this new body I now have as my own. "Now now, do not morn, for you have your own horn." What was this riddle supposed to mean? I had no clue but as she'd mentioned I'd felt it. A horn on a horse? I'd only heard of it once but I don't remember what it was called. It was all just a figment of some human's imagination, however now I find that it wasn't that much of a fairy tale now as I myself have become this thing. "What am I?" I try to speak, however as I did I saw for myself the repercussions of it. There were glasses strewn about this humble hut of the zebra's and as I'd spoken all of the glasses that hung from various parts of the room had shattered. "Aye no!" the zebra said to me. "I'm afraid you must go!" I'd blown my only chance. She shoved me out, and I heard that unknown language again, it'd seemed angry and displeased with what had happened. I continued walking about the forest, however I'd found nothing to help me. I grabbed a stick off the ground and placed it in my mouth and started chewing because I was incredibly hungry. I didn't know what else to eat, I'd usually have nuts as I was working late on science projects, however this small body getting up to the nuts in high branches is a feat in and of its self. Upon finishing that branch, which had a horrible bark taste to it, I'd found a clearing to the forest and in my sight I found a town. Feeling the chill of night I'd wanted to stay inside, however I knew that as soon as I had knocked that I'd be turned down because of my inability to speak properly. Sighing I headed to what seemed to be a park and I miserably sat and laid on a park bench. This was perhaps the worst feeling I'd had since... Since the barrier had been put up keeping us monsters trapped forever. ----- "Hey, this guy just took our park bench." was the first thing I'd heard upon waking up. I'd opened my eyes and for once in the longest time imaginable I finally saw summer. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, flowers already blooming. It was a fine day, a day that I can now see for the first time. I find that I am laying across the same park bench from last night, and I also see two mares next to me. A white mare with magenta and pink mane, and what appeared to be a picture of unwrapped sweets on her flank. The other was a mint green color. "So what, Lyra," the white mare had said to her friend "So?" she asked somewhat seriously. "This is the best bench in the whole park where I can practice my human imitations." "Alright," The white mare said to her friend. "Sir, would you mind moving?" I opened my mouth, however concerning last night, I decided against it and simply shook my head no, and quickly got off the bench. "Thank you," I'd heard from them. I simply nodded my head and went over to a shady tree. Time passed slowly that day and I was trying my best to write a simple 'hello in the grass with my hoofed form. Things didn't go too well, as with every letter I'd tried writing, my hooves and mouth, whichever I was writing with at the time, had simply drawn its own symbol. I didn't know what any of those symbols were, however, I knew the message I was trying to get across. "Hey," I'd heard a voice say. It was that white mare from before. "I noticed you were trying to write something here, and I thought I could translate for you." I tried to whisper to her "How?" however, that had ended up as a yell. Her friend trotted over and said "What do you think you're doing to my special friend?" The two of them had talked it out for a bit, and then the white mare said, "Sorry about that, Lyra's a little protective of me." I simply nodded and kept going with my scribes in the dirt. Her friend Lyra had also come to join. "The name's Bonbon," The white mare said to me. I stopped trying to write and moved to a different patch and began to write the first initial of my name, W They'd guessed most all of the letters of the alphabet before coming across the letter that was my first initial. I continued and little by little Bonbon began to see how I wrote, however Lyra was still not getting it. I stopped scribing my name after they'd gotten it down, and moved onto another message for the both of them. "I was subject to an experiment gone wrong, now, I am trapped here someone help me get back home." Bonbon translated. both of them were astonished at my message. "I had no Idea, Gaster." Lyra simply said to me. "Where is your home?" Bonbon continued. I dug my hoof into the ground digging a hole, then pointed to it. "Underground?" they asked quizzically. "There aren't many ponies that live under Equestria." Bonbon replied, and the way she had reminded me of the way I kept secrets to someone I hold dear. I nodded, then wrote my home, or rather the prison of all monsters on a sheet of paper. "Mt. Ebbot?" they both said. "I think I know another pony who would be able to help you." Lyra said growing tired of writing and charades, I simply raised both my front hooves in a questioningly way. "Twilight Sparkle," Bonbon said "She works at the library over in Ponyville. Its a giant oak tree and you really can't miss it." I immediately darted over to the library, eager to learn about this place that was inhabited by ponies, eager to find a way to fix this whole mess, and eager to get back to my home. No matter how bleak it is, its still my home, and no matter what I must stay determined. > the Elements of harmony? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I as soon as I'd reached the Library, I knocked cordially at the door. soon after I had, I find that a purple lizard like creature had opened the door. how could he possibly be standing up? "Can I help you?" he asked. I simply motioned with my hooves a book motion, which was harder than it seemed. "Ah, come on in," he said to me "This is a Library after all." I did so. Looking around at the books, I noticed that the library here was far more extensive than the one underground, That and they were all out of syntonization with the dewey decimal system. I continued about the Library to find any nonfiction book, however, the shelves I went to had fiction, and what seemed to be adventure novel, Daring do... Quite interesting, perhaps I'll take it back underground with me when I find a way home. I continue looking and still haven't found a single book pertaining to history. I did however find books about magic, and the powers a unicorn body possesses, I also saw books on earth ponies and Pegasai as they were respectively called. Hm, unicorns, Pegasus and earth, magic soul and detirmination. perhaps this was my way home. I now realize something I've neglected to do since I've gotten here, I need to see what the core had done to my body. I was looking where I was, I was seeing how different the world is here, I was also seeing the differences between everybody, or as the ponies here like to say, everypony, however I neglected to see myself. to be treated as an outcast, yet also be somewhat accepted may mean that I'm a pony, that I figured out only the first few hours here. however, I don't know what I am aside from that. I look for the purple lizard, which, now that I think about it, he could possibly be a dragon, and find him in what appears to be the kitchen snacking on some hay. "wazzup?" he asks me, "are you finding what you're looking for?" I shake my head no. "Well, speak up I don't know what to get you unless you say it." we're at an impasse, I can't speak, yet, as he can't deliver what I want unless I do speak. I then try to sign with my hoof for a piece of paper. "Oh, you want something to write with?" he asks I nod "Alright, I'll get it, Twilight has lots of paper, makes sense for the amount of checklists she makes." I scoff not knowing anything about this 'Twilight' filly, but I have a feeling I'll soon meet her. The dragon goes up stairs, and gets what I'd requested. instead of writing I draw, knowing that the symbols will once again appear if I do write the language I now know. "A Toilet?" The dragons asks me. "I noded. He pointed me to the bathroom. I hurry there in the hopes of seeing what I've become. I look around for a mirror and see one on the opposite side of the toilet. Looking into it, I finally see myself, and what the core had done to my body. I am a unicorn, I adhere to magic, I see a gash going from my left eye going to my horn. I tilt my head downward, and see that the gash leaves a small circle around the horn. I frown in disappointment at how much of an injury I'd sustained. I now see my left side, there is another gash going down from my eye to my jaw. I now wished that I'd never fallen into my creation. I head out of the bathroom with a sad yet, serious look. I go back to the table with the dragon and I begin to write. symbols are my alphabet now and what I'd written him didn't make any sense to him. I began to write out my kiosk to figure out my language, when a purple mare came through the door. Spike, I'm home!" she called. "I'm in the kitchen!" Spike replied. She saw me, I was in wondering what had happened to her. she was both a unicorn and a pegasus, I have no clue what that is called, however she does look, majestic "Hello sir," she says to me. I simply wave my hoof in response. "what can I do for you?" I give her the paper I was writing and took the paper out of 'Spike's' claws, and gave it to Twilight. She was perplexed by the symbols as well as her younger dragon, however, she tried to figure out what she could. "Is this paper your alphabet?" I nod. Then she asks, "why can't you speak?" "I can't speak otherwise this happens." I say knowing what a horrible racket I'd cause this town just for a simple answer. her mane was bent out of its straight down shape, spike's pupils were dilated, and I could see on his that face there was fear. Twilight stuck to figuring out the puzzle shortly after she'd heard what my speech dose. after about five minutes of her wracking her brain she finally says, "'I need some history of this place, as I am a visiter from far away. I wish not to cause any alarm and will leave as soon as the information is provided.'" I nod as that is what I wrote. "Alright, as far as history, you'll need this," Twilight brought a book down with her magic that book titled 'Mare in the moon.' I'd heard humans talk about the night sky and the 'man in the moon wondering if this were similar and how it was. "This," another book was brought down with telepathy called 'the elements of harmony' and finally, she said "I'm pretty sure you don't know magic right?" I nod and as I did, another book titled 'magic 101' floated down to me. Suppose I am to use this horn on my head for something. I begin with the grade school textbook trying to master my magic, however, as things went I couldn't preform any spell except for the basic levitation. Perhaps that's why I chose to stick with science and was appointed Royal scientist by Asgore himself. I could mostly rely on machine rather than magic anyway. I take another book, and I begin to read it this was the mare in the moon, and the reason the castle I'd seen last night was abandoned and wrecked. At least now I knew that I wouldn't offend anybody or rather anypony if I'd gone in there. The final book had given me my sense of what I needed to do. The elements of harmony; these were six powerful stones each said to correspond to some sort of feeling, excluding the last one Magic. I'd seen in the book before that they'd imprisoned or 'banished' the 'Mare' to the moon, with just a simple clause. I began to get curious and I saw parchment and a quill to write what I'd needed to be deciphered by Twilight. I used the basic knowledge I'd obtained by reading and used levitation to aid my writing, however I still wrote in those strange symbols. Twilight though, a bit used to the key by now, had translated what I had to say just like that. "You want to see the elements of harmony?" she asked. I nodded. Twilight went up to her room. I'd heard a little racket as she possibly got her element from its hiding place as I can only guess. she then brought it down, and let me see it. The golden curves were elegant, more elegant than the king's crown. The magenta stone inside rung with the essence it possessed. I was merely seeing it, yet I felt drawn to it as though perhaps my problems could be solved by this. I began to reach my hoof out to touch it, however, Twilight recoiled when I did so. "What are you doing?" she asked me. I'd taken the quill and parchment and wrote 'I merely wish to inspect the craftsmanship.' "It was made by magic, and-" Twilight was hesitant. she looked at me, then back at her crown. whatever had possessed her to be overprotective of this element I had no clue. after a short minute she said "One touch, then it goes back where it came from." I nodded, and reached my hoof out to the crown. As I did, I felt unimaginable pain, the one pain I remember feeling when I fell into the darkness... ----- As I relent the pain, I find that I'm in a house. However, who's house? I look around and I find two white ponies sitting together, their appearence is quite reminiscent of the king and prince from where I had come from. I keep looking around the house and find another white pony, she has wings and a horn much like Twilight, however, she reminds me of the queen. If they're here, then I must be somewhere close enough to them to get a message out. I levitate a quill and parchment over to me and begin writing in my strange symbols and leave a key at the bottom of the note. I sign my name which is the only possibly legible thing on it and I leave the house. However as I did, I notice a small brown filly she tugged me and wanted me to stay, however I knew the pain I had experienced to be true to my return back to the core. I simply shook my head and finally said "no," to the filly. it let go and let me leave as soon as I'd come. ---- My ears are ringing, my throat is sore and I hear frantic yelling about me as the ring subsides. "Oh my goodness he..." was the last thing I heard. I didn't care I wanted to know the truth and so I spoke. "Oh my goodness he what..." I said. "So you can speak, whoever you are." Twilight said. "First off I want to know your name. Second, explain to me what just happened." I look around and found nothing but small tufts of white hair on the ground. I levitate them close to me, and find that they are indeed my own tufts of hair. The other thing I see on the ground is a scorch mark. What had happened indeed blew my mind. > Power of one. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After seeing the evidence that I had been mysteriously vaporized, I had no choice in the matter but to tell this fine mare what is going on. "Twilight I presume." I say in a serious tone. "Yes that's my name, now what's yours?" "I am Wing Ding Gaster," I said for the first time since I'd fallen into my creation. "And I have no clue as to what happened with me spontaneously vaporizing like I just did. Though the only thing I can tell is that this has fixed my speech to where I can say whatever I please rather than being confined to the wretched screaming that so afflicted me earlier." "Well Mr. Wing Ding," she said. "Please call me Dr. Gaster, or just Gaster." "Gaster," she immediately corrected. "If what I read from you is true you're not from around here, am I right Gaster? "That is indeed the case. I, or rather we monsters, have all been forced for many decades to make our abode the inescapable Mount Ebbot. I assume that I am either in a timeline that has no such record of this event, or that I have been so completely erased from my timeline that this may actually be some sort of purgatory." "What event are you referring to?" Twilight asked. "A long time ago a war broke out between us monsters and humans, The humans in winning the war banished us monsters a life of subterranean living, which we monsters have been loathing ever since." "There hasn't been any such record of a war like that." Twilight said. "However I can tell you that there's somepony from your place that has paid a visit here while you were 'vaporized' away." "Who?" I ask hurriedly. "She was an alicorn much like me, she said her name was Toriel, I think." The queen! She's here! I think. "You must give me her address." I say. Twilight quickly levitated a quill and parchment to her and wrote down the address tearing the paper so that I can carry it with me. "Thank you, for your kind hospitality and generosity. I said to Twilight and Spike Rushing out the door to hopefully say a good greeting to my fair queen. it had been years, since both Sans and Papyrus were both little bones, That I'd seen the queen of all monsters. ----- As soon as I get to the address I knock cordially at the door. "who's there?" "A doctor." I reply "A doctor who?" "exactly! Allon-sey!" I hear laughter from the other side of the door. I am quite glad that the queen remembers my gift to her, I wouldn't want to dwell on what would have happened had she not. I was lucky enough to find that likeable science fiction dvd at the dump before falling into the core. The door opens, and I see the familiar face of my queen though it seems as though something was missing I couldn't quite place it. "How've you been Doctor Gaster?" she asks me as we go to the table. "I have had more less a bad time in the core and now I have no clue where in the universe, rather multiverse, I am. "It hasn't bothered me too much." Toriel said strangely very collected and calm." "But your highness don't you have a kingdom to rule alongside As-" "Don't speak his name to me good sir." Toriel said striking an angry look I've never seen from her. "If you don't mind me asking then, what has the king done your majesty?" First she looked through me her anger slowly dropped to tears as she remembered something traumatic. "Its because of him," she said. "Its because of him that renounced my crown and lived alone in the ruins. waiting for a day that would hopefully bring peace in a more merciful way than what he sought." The plan to gather six human souls; if I remembered right. the last thing I remember hearing before giving up hope was that Chara Dreemur had poisoned herself with buttercups. We'd gotten those six though, how was it that the barrier didn't break? "He wanted seven souls so that he could wage war against the humans that imprisoned us. I was at my breaking point when he had five and Chara had done it for the sake of the monsters, at that point it was only the vows that had kept us together, then he said he wanted one more." Toriel cried. "He should have shown them all mercy!!" I was silent at this. Knowing that I'd created the soul capture devices for the King's conquest, I now feel my sins crawling on my back. I had first told the king that human souls could persist after death yet their bodies would perish without them, he took sympathy at that and decided that he wouldn't kill them rather he would let his guard do it. he was innocent except for making a dastardly plan. King 'fluffybuns' ,as that old turtle put it, was the best player of chess. Though not the best at naming things, he was still cunning. Toriel was in tears when she said "The seventh human fell into the underground not too long ago G. I couldn't stop their pure Determination of getting home. I fear that everything in the underground is in a simple state of limbo right now, bent to the will of this human child." I was in shock, The anomaly! The thing I told sans about before falling in. it is this child. "I refused to go on and refused to let them back. The fate of the underground is their choice now G." The matter of time in the anomaly's hands. surely this could end quite horribly for the very fabric of reality...perhaps that is it, the fabric of reality is shifting causing me not to exist in one and to yet appear in another. to be scattered across space time only question now is, when does this timeline end so that I can get back to my own. Suddenly from out of nowhere, There was a knock at the door. a slow three hit knock. Toriel went to the door, as O the guest stayed seated at the table. I hear a familiar voice at the door. "Is there a Mr. G. here this evening ma'am?" Toriel invited the guest in. As she came closer to the table I recognized her instantly, Bon-Bon. She came up close to me nearly muzzle to muzzle and said; "The elements are the key to escape G. the anomaly is the power of one and you the power of zero." she backed up a little before saying "the element of truth bears the true nature of what the anomaly wants. The element of Loyalty the false hope of freedom. the rest are augmented versions of your timeline." There was a dimmer of light in her eyes as fatigue shown. "one touch of any element will send you to where you will be able to either fix or destroy your timeline. only you have the choice to fix or anhilate your timeline, for you are the power of zero, the power of the Res..." her eyes closed completely. Toriel in shock at what had just happened brought some water from the kitchen sink over to Bon-Bon. she slowly lifted her head then asked "Where the buck am I and who the hay are you two?" she got a better look at my face sitting up completely. "Oh its you you screeching weirdo." she said to me. "Well, somehow someway that got fixed." I replied. "Huh, well you got a good voice." Bon-Bon said. "Though trust me when I say, you can't handle the truth." she said walking out. before shutting the door she said "I'm a secret agent of Equestria and I will figure you out Mystery pony." > The truth of the matter... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The anomaly! The whole reason I'm here, the whole reason I dropped myself to the core. To stop them, to stop their Genocide; or so I'd thought. This ended up deleting me from my own existence, but perhaps I can have a chance at my own revival. The one thing I've wanted since the darkness ever swallowed me whole. "Gaster?" Toriel asked. "Yes Queen Dreemur?" "Don't call me that." she said. "It brings back too many," she paused as a tear dropped from her eye; "memories." "Alright then, Lady Toriel, for what is it that you called me?" "Please don't be so formal, I am after all an ex queen," she said. "When did this happen?" "About when Asgore decided to kill any human that fell underground." My only thought drifted to the first thoughts of Determination I'd lightly experimented on. My thoughts then jumped to the soul canisters I'd created; should a monster ever get six human souls the results would be catastrophic. "I'm sorry Miss Toriel, when did this happen?" She thought for a bit then said, "Around the time you first discovered the anomaly, or rather, around the time I lost my sun and adopted kin. "Chara." The word had simply slipped my mouth. "Yes, sometime before Asriel took Chara back to her village, Asgore and I lost Chara to buttercup poisoning." Ah, so that's what transpired after I'd fallen into my own creation. "I must ask, have things been rather bleak as far as your subjects go, or rather just the monster population." I said "Somehow they've all been holding onto hope." Toriel said. "That's a relief, if there's anyway I'd not like to see the underground it is being in a complete anarchy, or worse completely emptied by a fallen human filled with nothing but revenge." "You and I both Gaster." Toriel said. It was late the moon was being heightened in the sky. I remembered my first day here then asked Toriel "I have no place to stay Miss Toriel, would it be alright if-" "It would absolutely be alright G." she replied cutting me off. ----- The next morning came birds were chirping and the sun was brightly shining, something after my time in the void I still have to get used to. Down stairs I smelled cooking, and started to go down the stares to see what was for breakfast. "Ah, good morning Gaster." Toriel said "Good morning M'lady." I replied. "We've got toast and oatmeal for breakfast. To be honest, being turned into a pony has made things taste a bit different if I may say so." This would technically be my first meal so, I wouldn't be able to tell. I took my spoon with my magic and tried a bight of oatmeal. it tasted the same as regular oatmeal to me. Though as soon as I bit into the toast I noticed that there was a bit more flavor to be had in it. this breakfast had rejuvenated me after the few days I was fasting. "I see you really like the toast G. "That indeed I do," I replied. I thought for a moment about what Lyra had said to me the previous night, and with that, I remembered that the anomaly's true purpose would be revealed if I went to the element of honesty, though I don't know who that is or even how far it is from here. "Miss Toriel I must be heading out; I need to find the element of honesty to find a way back for the both of us." "But why G?" Toriel asked somewhat absently. "Well surely you want to stop Asgore from rampaging to the surface when we get back right?" "I suppose you're right, though, I've moved on from the throne." she said. "How can you say that? you're the underground's queen weather or not you're at the throne. surely you must be able to-" "I've decided that the underground can do without me." Toriel said. In all my time with lady Toriel I've never heard such a statement, its as though she's not even herself as if- "You know Gaster you can stay here too; besides this is much better than the underground. I might even apply to be a teacher here its better than being cooped up in the ruins with nothing but snail books to keep me company." I could tell something has happened to Toriel, though what, I have no clue, perhaps me getting back will be far harder than I'd initially thought. though how to get back to my world from a different one is still beyond me. I must get home to see my sons, see the state of the underground see what I've missed all these years after fell into my creation. ----- I head out of the house and find that majority of the ponies I'd found since coming here were already out and ready to start the day. Usually I'd sit down to a nice cup of coffee and get to my lab work, though, I doubt I'd be able to do that today. I head over to the Library, and see if Twilight is there, though as of now it seemed as though she was out with Spike in tow. With no one, Rather no pony to tell me where I must go, I suppose I'll ask around. As I walked about the town, I couldn't help but see three little fillies with out this strange thing that the adult ponies have though I don't know what they're called. I called out to the one in the lead; "Hello there!" I tried though they rushed past me leaving me in the dust. "well, I suppose that was called for. they did have some place to go." I said in a bit of a rough voice under my breath. As I continued onward into town, I saw that there were many vendors to which I could ask about the element of honesty. I saw one in the middle of town, apples in tow and decided to ask her. "Good morning." I say to the orange colored pony. "Why howdy there stranger," she said back. "You lookin' to buy some apples?" "Not really," I'd said. "Rather I'm looking for some information, on some elements of Harmony. Would you know where I could find one?" "Well, uh, I do know that there are six of em' and that there are each tied to somepony that is pretty true to that element they represent, Though if you don't mind me asking why are you looking for them?" "I am a long way from home, and the elements are my only way to get back there." "huh, well tell me where you're from," she said somewhat not believing my story. "I am a monster from beneath Mount Ebott." "Quite frankly I've never even heard of Mount Ebott, so I suppose it is true." she said looking at me with shifty eyes. "And you also said that you're a monster, what kind of monster would you be? "I do believe there isn't even a Mount Ebott in Equestria at all." I replied. "As far as what monster I am, I'm a skeleton scientist, who's only interest is getting home and not to cause trouble to anyone else that I meet. "And how would you know this sugar cube?" she asked at the first part. "Skeleton pony?" "Twilight was the first pony who'd shown me where I truly am in regards that I'm not where I'm supposed to be." I replied "I don't suppose you'd be able to help me return to where I'm from? after all, I promise I won't cause much of any trouble." "I'm not the type of pony to give another a cold shoulder, so I reckon that after I finish my sales for today I'd show you my element of harmony." "Thank you," I replied. "Though if there's any funny business I'll let my friends know who done it." The day passed on as this mare and I were mid town selling apples. Some bought bushels others just one or passed by. It wasn't until those three little fillies from earlier had come by that something of interest had happened. "Applejack!" I hear the yellow one yell. "What's up apple bloom?" "We need a place to hide." Apple bloom said. "What in tarnation did y'all do this time?" "we kinda," she started. "Broke Cranky's roof," the white one said. "trying to parachute off it." the orange one said. "Ah, geez, you just couldn't take no from Mrs cake now could you?" she sighed. "You know how long it takes Bic Mac to fix roofs doncha?" "yes," they all said in unison. "Now go get Big Mac and take this fine pony to the barn, he has something to do and I'm off in about an hour for a break, I'll getcha what you need during that time ok, Ebott?" that last bit was directed toward me. "Ok, and the name's Gaster," I replied. "Aighty, Aster." was all I heard before the little fillies took me with them. after the introductions, Applejack and I didn't talk all that much due to well the general mistrust, and I don't blame it one bit, had a stranger come through your town and asked for the most valuable thing, you too would be shifty right? The three fillies and I were all walking along when the three of them lifted my coat to notice something I haven't yet at all. "Hey Gaster," the orange one asked. "Yes, what is it young one and I don't know any one of your names except for Applebloom if I recall correctly." "yep that's right, Gaster dude." Applebloom said. "Name's scootaloo," the orange one said. "and what is your cutie mark?" "Cutie mark? what is such a thing?" I asked. The three of them were shocked. "Well, that goes to show that he is really out of this world." the white filly said. "What's your name?" "Oh, Sweetie Belle," she replied. "Alright then, Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, I suppose you three are about to tell me what a 'Cutie mark' is." I said with somewhat of a pause when I'd gotten to the two words they said. "A cutie mark is a fillies' of foal's dream come true." Applebloom said. "Its a representation of your talent," Scootaloo said right after. Sweetie finished, "And it also shows off your personality in some way." "And it shows up on your flank." the three of them said. "Now that's just weird." I said as the three fillies stopped dead in their tracks. "No its not," the three of them said catching up to me. "What's it supposed to mean then?" I ask. "Its somewhat like a rite of passage. Sweetie belle said. "Well, how and when do you ponies get it?" "Well, it all depends." Applebloom said. "On what?" "On what the pony's good at and when they find their special talent." Sweetie belle said "Well, this is quite interesting." I said aloud. "And very annoying." Scootaloo said. "How so?" "Being told by grownups, 'oh don't worry you'll get it some time soon'. Always wondering what it'll be and how you'll get it." "Ah, I see so, its this reward that at some point everypony gets." "Yep." they all said sighing. The city area slowly devolved into rolling hills as I saw that trees slowly came up everywhere. I could tell that this was the place Applejack told me about. "well now that you know about them, how about you tell us what yours means?" "My cutie mark?" I asked staring at them. they simply nodded. I lifted my black lab coat and looked at my cutie mark. It had five symbols from the language of the void, or rather the language I can only assume that I both spoke in and wrote in when I came here. My own memory became fuzzy trying to recall those weird symbols and I found that I couldn't. I then after replied to them, "My cutie mark is a mystery to me, I need to figure it out." to which they all let out a synchronous "aww," in disappointment. As we neared the barn, Apple bloom yelled for someone. "BIG MAC!!!"a few moments and a big red stallion came up to us. "What happened this time?" He asked his voice very deep. "We, uh," Apple bloom started "We broke somepony's roof." Sweetie Belle said. "Who's roof?" he asked. "Cranky's…" "I'll get on it, you three go to your rooms and as for you," he stared at me. "Wait outside the barn." The power and tone in which he'd delivered those words somehow made us all say "Yes sir." ----- Time passed slowly as It was only me and an elderly green pony to pass the time outside the barn. we'd shared stories of family and such, then decided to just wait. It took a couple of hours for Applejack to arrive home, though, when she did she greeted her 'granny' with a hug and open hooves. It reminded me of when I'd come home to see Sans and his little brother; it'd been so long that I forgot Sans' brother's name. "Well uh, Gaster is it?" "Yes, Ma'am," "Let's get done what you need to though, I need to know what's going to happen." We walked through the inside of the rustic barn as it reminded me of Snowdin inn. "Well, Miss Applejack, I don't entirely know what will happen. All I know is is that your element of harmony will suck me into my world for a little bit of time and I reappear somehow, which may or may not have some repercussive effect here." "What sort of 'Repercussive effect are we talkin' about?" she asked me. "I don't know but it'll hopefully be one that I can quickly clean up ma'am. "Well, so long's you're able to do whatcha need, and clean up after it, I'm good with it." "Thank you." I replied. We were there, where Applejack had her element of harmony it was an orange necklace in the shape of an apple. I saw that it resembled her 'cutie mark' and wondered what the connection was. After a moment in thought, I reached out and touched the element of harmony and as I did so, I heard the horrible silence of the void. The darkness started to shave me slowly to pieces. Though, as I came back to a place I remember, I saw that I was in a golden room. A room that had the delta rune, the judgement hall. The room where someone must go before seeing the King of Monsters. I saw two figures from my vantage point, one looked like a fat skeleton, "Sans." I tried to call to him though my voice couldn't cut through the void I was stuck in. the other a human by the looks of it, A monstrous human by the feel of it. they somewhat resembled Chara, or at least what I remember of her. Though I couldn't intervene, I could hear the entire ordeal. "Its a beautiful day out side," there was a pause as sans looked out to the only window that shown what was outside. "Birds are singing flowers are blooming on days like these kids like you…" the room got a few degrees cooler, as he looked back at this Chara like child. "Should be burning in hell!" he said angrily his eye sockets turning completely black. this was a fear tactic in Skeleton monsters. The room got black and white, one of the ways monsters know that they're in a fight. Gaster Blasters were my patented magic attack, though used so masterfully and so precisely I would say that Sans has outdone himself. "Huh, always wondered why people don't start with their strongest attack first." he'd said. His strongest attack, I thought that must be why everything was so precise, either that or he was practicing while I was in the void.so, that was his strongest I thought; also I chuckled to myself, no wonder he can only deal one damage and a very rare trait among monsters, Karmatic Retribution, with every hit. The human charged for an attack their weapon a knife, a real knife. They were going to stab sans, though he dodged out of the way. While most monsters are stuck in place during a duel I'd managed to teach sans how to dodge attacks and such, though it is very tiring. I doubt that this battle will last all that long, as much as I'd like sans to get this monstrous child out of the underground as soon as possible I know that the way he's fighting he can't go for very long. My next thought went onto King Asgore, he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a monster kid and this little Chara look alike. I looked back onto the battle of the wills, 'Chara' kept up their attack, Sans kept dodging. I chuckled,"The way he keeps dodging, it must make him very tired. his brother must call him 'Lazy bones a lot." I muttered. I went back to my thought on the king, he wouldn't last more than a minute with this 'monster human' which is why sans taking care of this is the best for everybody. The battle lasted a while I'm glad that he'd perfected my techniques for this sort of arena. I could see that the battle was tiring him; even if the signs couldn't be seen at the moment, I could tell. He was starting to sweat when, "hey, buddy, I can see that there's a glimmer of a good person in you, someone who in another timeline could've been a friend? Come on lay down that weapon and well…" sans reached out for a hug. I didn't hear that last part. The human came closer to Sans, then dropped their weapon and chose to spare him. Though now I can see they're learning tactics that monsters wouldn't even use. they were planning to backstab Sans. I could see slowly that the knife was reached for. It slowly came up to his backbone, I couldn't just sit here any longer. "SSSSaaaaaaaannnnnsss!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs for whatever reason I could feel the void somewhat shake in that yelling "they're the anomaly!!" I yelled to him. his eye glowed blue as the knife slowly came to contact his backbone. He brought bones through the floor that stabbed through the human at every angle causing blood to drip out on the golden floor, with that I could tell their soul cracked and burst, something that very rarely happens to human souls. "GEEEEEETTTTTT DUNKED ON!!!" he said stuttering as angrily as possible. He started to cry, "If we were really friends… You won't come back." As I was being pulled back to Equestria, I could hear sans say, "Thanks G, I'll keep better track of all the timelines now." ----- As I got back to Equestria, I could see only destruction the wake of it coming from Applejack's Element of harmony. The blast seemed as though it was a shock wave; was that me shouting through the void? I looked behind me and all I saw was Applejack glaring at me angrily. I looked at her and apologized. "I thought you said it was something you could clean up." she said pointing to a hole in the barn with her hoof. "I didn't know what repercussions my actions would have had. I had to shout through the void to save my son from death. Tell me, would you not do the same to save someone you love?" I asked. This question hit Applejack hard as she recoiled at me asking. She looked down as a few tears fell to the ground and she then said, "Mister, you have no Idea what I would do for Them. I could tell by the way it was said something tragic happened. "I-I'm sorry Ma'am…" She sighed, "ya know, as much as I want to go back an' change the past, I'm actually quite thankful for what the present and future have to offer me." she said somewhat choked up. "My friends, My family, everypony I know even my parents have all given me the strength I need to move forward." I was silent for a couple moments. "for once I know someone who feels the same as I do."
