Beautiful ocean waves crashed over the frigid, yellow sand with a spray of salty ocean water exploding into the air like a firework. Today there are no clouds in the blue sky and the air is fresh. Besides the wonderful weather, the sea is clean and the waves are calm.

Sitting on a folding beach chair, you stretch your limbs and tuck your hands behind your head. All you have with you is your towel, your bag, which contains your clothes and a umbrella beside you. Sighing, you peer up at the sun for a moment and lean against the chair.

It's been only one day since the start of the summer vacations and you wanted to start with a bang. Summer vacation means no school and no homework. A time of rest, relaxation, vacation and absolute fun. In other words, the best time of anyone's life.

You glance at the deep, blue sea and a good idea came across your mind. A nice swim in the ocean would be the perfect thing for this summer afternoon.

You got up from your folding chair, and with a confident smirk, you sprint towards the sea until you stop at the shoreline. The short waves of the water pulsed in and out, running around your ankles and feet. You lay back in the water, letting your limbs do the thinking.

'This is life,' you thought with a pleasant smile.

Letting out a sigh, you decide to take all of your worries away by stretching out your arms and releasing all bodily tension. You put your face down and started to swim, breathing on every stroke as heavy beats of your breath echoes back through the water.

You're very good at swimming and that's a very noticable trait. In fact, you're part of the Canterlot High swimming team which had won many competitions in the past. Despite this, you rather think that your best friend, a girl who is also the captain of every sports team in Canterlot High, is a better swimmer than you. Every time you look at her, she takes your breath away. Oh, how you have this big crush on her. You always wondered if you will ever have a chance with her.

But as you delighted in your joyful ocean experience, the waves around you became much larger and wilder than before. Before you could react, a vicious wave hit you, knocking you down into the blue ocean.

You managed to get you head to the surface for a moment. You gasp, filling your lungs with air. But then, a wave much bigger than the others, hit you viciously, knocking you to the depths of the ocean and dragging the air from your lungs.

You tried to reach the surface, kicking hard as you could and not wanting to die like this. Unfortunately, this was a forlorn hope due for the waves getting more wilder, preventing you to reach the surface. You tried to scream for help, but all you got was water.

Your mind went blank... Your heart began to give up its fight. Starving of oxygen, you begin to lose consciousness.

Your eyelids become heavier and heavier and your eyesight became blurry. The last thing you see is a silhouette of someone swimming towards you, then everything around you slowly faded to black...

You slowly open your eyes to see nothing but a complete blur of light. As your eyes come into focus, the first thing you see is the sun on the cloudless blue canvas. Suddenly, you cough up water and feel a stinging pain in your lungs.

"Hey, are you okay?" a female raspy voice asks in concern.

You lift you head up to turn at the source of the voice.

Your eyes widen.

Sitting by your side, there was a cyan teenage girl with a gym bag beside her. She had vibrant rainbow hair and magenta eyes. She was wearing a blue bandeau bikini top with grey lining, rainbow wristbands on each arm, a white leg band wrapped around her left leg and blue hipster bottoms with the same colors as the top.

She was noneother than Rainbow Dash, the sport star of Canterlot High. But also, your crush.

Back on your first day in Canterlot High, you've meet Rainbow under... Let's say it was complicated. You were on your way towards Canterlot High when out of nowhere a soccer ball slammed right on your face. The responsible of the accident was Rainbow Dash, but she apologized for the accident and in the end, you two became close friends.

Ever since that day, you've had a crush on her, but you still don't have the courage to confess your feeling to her.

And now, she was sitting close to you with a look of concern. You can't take your eyes off her as a deep blush appears on your face. You started to feel butterflies flap wildly in you stomach, but those thoughts drifted away when you cough up again.

"Whoa! Are you alright?" Rainbow asks you once again.

You reply with a simple nod. "I-I'm fine. Thank you."

Rainbow sighed in relief and she offers her hand to you to help you to get back on you feet. You blush upon making contact with her hand as she pulls you up from the sand.

"I should be more careful with the waves if I were you," Rainbow says, placing her hand on your shoulder. "Who knows what would happened if I weren't here to save you."

"Again, thanks," you say with a small smile.

"No problemo," Rainbow gives you her signature cocky smirk. But suddenly, her eyes widen like saucers. "Oh my gosh! Your feet!"

A look of confusion etches across your face until you look at your feet where she is pointing with her finger. Your eyes widen when you notice a red liquid forming on your feet. You just stepped right on sharp piece of beach glass of the size of a knife.

"Quick, to my chair!" Rainbow said before grabbing your hand. "Lift your leg to not get any sand on the wound!"

You lift your leg as you were told while Rainbow brought you over to her folding chair and sat you down. You weren't afraid of blood, but the true issue was if the cut was deep. She ran over her bag and pulled out a first aid kit, then she returned and knelt down in front of you. Rainbow furrowed her eyebrows as she examined the cut.

"It is bad?" you ask in worry.

Rainbow glances at you and shook her head. "I think it's not that bad, but I still need to clean the wound."

The rainbow gal pulled out a towel and a bottle of water from her bag, then she poured the water on the towel and began to clean the wound. You wince in pain as she cleans the wound. After cleaning the wound, Rainbow began to apply steady direct pressure to stop the bleeding and she wrapps a bandage around your feet afterwards.

"For now, that should do it," Rainbow Dash says, wiping the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand.

"Umm, how I'm going to walk without getting it infected?" you look at your bandaged foot and then at Rainbow.

"First off," she pulled out a plain white T shirt and put it on before looking back at you. "Where are your stuff?"

You reply by pointing at your stuff which were twenty meters away from you and Rainbow. Without second thoughts, the prismatic athlete ran towards your stuff. A few minutes later, she came back with your bag, your folding chair, your umbrella and your towel.

"Don't worry, I can put your stuff in the trunk of my car. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of space," Rainbow gives you a friendly smile as she slung her gym bag over her shoulder.

"A-Alright," you can't help but blush at seeing that smile of hers.

She put your stuff in your bag before handing it to you. You sling your bag over your shoulder, feeling it a bit heavy.

Rainbow turns around to face her back towards you and pats her back. "Okay, jump on my back. I'll carry you."

"What?" you inquire, chuckling at what she just said. "I... I'm not sure."

"Come on. I bet you're not that heavy," Rainbow says with chuckle. "Besides, your feet is wounded. Let me help you."

If there's something that describes Rainbow Dash is Loyalty. She wasn't that type of person to give up so easily, especially on someone who needs her help. Friend or not friend.

You sigh, giving her a blushing smile. Very carefully, you jump on her back and she hooks her arms under your legs. Even with your bag on your shoulder, she doesn't have any trouble with carrying you.

'Wow. She must put many hours on the gym to stay strong. No doubt why everyone calls her the Queen of Sports,' you thought in awe, noticing how easily she lifted you.

A few minutes later, you and Rainbow arrived at her car which was parked on the parking lot of the beach. She opens the door of the passenger seat for you to enter and you hopped off her back, buckling up inside. Rainbow then put your stuff and her gym bag in the trunk and headed to the driver seat. Rainbow Dash turned on the engine, pressing the accelerator pedal and drove out of the beach into the street.

"Hey," you began, looking at her.

"No need to thank me," Rainbow cuts you off with a smile. "I simply couldn't leave you drown on the sea."

"I insist, Dash. I need to repay you for saving my life," you give her a thankful smile.

This caused her to let out a kind hearted chuckle that made you blush. "Alright then, what do you have in mind? I'm free today."

You hum in thought, putting your hand to your chin. "We could order a pizza in my house."

"Meh, I don't see why not. My treat," Rainbow replies with a smile.

"No, Rainbow. My treat," you offer, feeling butterflies in your stomach. "I need to reward you for saving my life."

Rainbow says nothing, looking at you for a moment. Just then, a smile forms on her face forms and she just shrugs.

"You know, you're just like Rarity," Rainbow says with another chuckle.

You didn't say anything. Instead, you give her a friendly smile.

One half hour later, you and Rainbow arrived at your house. Rainbow carried you on her back once again to the main door of your place so you could not hurt your injured foot. Upon opening the door, with you handing Rainbow your key, both of you enter to the living room of your abode and she carries you to the sofa.

"How does it feel?" Rainbow asks while putting her hands around your foot.

"Hurts a little. At first it didn’t hurt when I stepped on the glass," you remark as she unwrapped the bandage.

Once she unwrapped your foot, Rainbow took a good look at your wound. "Well, it’s not bleeding anymore. It looks like the cut wasn't that deep."

"Still, thanks, Rainbow," you say with a relieved smile.

"No problem," Rainbow says, giving you a thumbs up. "I'd be a jerk if I didn't helped you."

You give her one last smile before picking up the fliers for a pizza from the table to order a delivery.

You reach out your hand to pick up the telephone from the stand beside the sofa to dial the number. After making your order, the person on the other line tells you that it will take about half of an hour to be made and delivered to you.

"Hey..." Rainbow calls you.

"Yeah?" you say as you turn to look at her.

"Aren't you going to put something on?" she asks, pointing at your torso.

You look at your body, noticing that you wore nothing but your swimwear trunks with your toned torso exposed. That fact made you blush slightly and chuckle nervously.

"Hehehe, I think I should go for a T shirt," you say before you rise to your feet.

"Alright, dude. But I must say, I think you look kinda hot," Rainbow chuckles as she looks at your fit torso.

Her comment made you blush, cheeks burning. You weren't sure if it was praise or not, but this came from your crush. You couldn't help but feel flustered.

A few moments later, you returned to the living room, now wearing a T shirt, and you headed to the kitchen for a glass of water for your unexpected guest, knowing that she might be thirsty.

"Water?" you offer as you hand her the glass of water.

Rainbow gives you smile, taking the glass from your hands and beginning to take a big gulp of the water.

After drinking the entire glass, Rainbow lets out a satisfied sigh. "That felt really great! Thanks, mate."

"You're welcome," you say, sitting next to her.

You and Rainbow sat in silence, waiting for the pizza to be delived. You looked at the girl sitting next to you. You wanted to confess your feeling to her, but you didn't know what to say or what to do with the air between you and her growing heavy with certain fears coming up from the rejection that you didn't want to hear. Maybe...

"Hey, dude, can I ask you something?" however, Rainbow suddenly asks, staring at the ceiling.

Her voice startles you for a moment, but you compose yourself and turn to look at her.

"Of course. I'm all ears," you say with a nod, laying back on the couch.

"Do you like me?"

You drew a sharp breath after hearing Rainbow's question. You stare at her with wide eyes and the only sound you hear is your heart beating. You didn't expected a question like this from someone like Rainbow Dash. Does she know you have crush on her?

"I'm sorry... Uh, what?" you nervously inquire.

Rainbow scoots over you until she is just a meter away from you. "I said, do you like me?"

You began to sweat as your eyes dart back forth. "O-Of course I like you, Rainbow. I wouldn't be friends with you if I didn't like you."

"Not like that, dummy," Rainbow replies before playfully punching you on the shoulder. "I mean... Do you like-like me?"

You try to come up with an answer, but nothing came from your mouth. You try to look away, only to have Rainbow's hand come up to your cheek and softly makes you look back into her magenta eyes.

"Don't try to deny it," Rainbow soflty says, rubbing your check tenderly. "I've seen how you've been acting around me since we meet."

Oh, she knows.

"R-Really?" you stammer, a bigger blush appearing over your cheeks.

She didn't say anything. Instead, and without warning, she replies by planting a big, passionate kiss on your lips. Your crush was kissing you! Your eyes widen, but your expression softens. It almost felt like heaven and you quickly lose yourself. Rainbow Dash wraps her arms around your neck as your arms settle around her waist.

As you and Rainbow enjoyed this new feeling, both of you fall backwards on the sofa. After a minute that seemed like forever, Rainbow Dash pulls her face from yours and both start breathing heavily. She sits up, but remains on top of you.

"What... Was that?" you ask between pants.

Rainbow chuckles and and takes a deep breath.

"I have a crush on you too," she answered with a wink.

"Really?" you ask again, feeling a twinge of joy.

Rainbow nods eagerly with a wide smile. "Yeah! I mean, I never believed in love before I meet you. Of all the guys I meet, you were different. You were kind to me, you cared about me and you stood by my side when I needed it the most. Then I fell in love with you and when you joined the swimming team, I feel like... Like..." she trailed off, but her blush was present on her face.

Rainbow's words left you speechless, but also it left you smiling in happiness.

"Anyways," Rainbow says and she leans to your face and kisses you on the lips again. "I love you."

"I love you too, Rainbow. I promise you, I'm going to be the best boyfriend you ever had," you declared with a gentle smile.

Rainbow smiles at you tenderly, but then that smile turns into her signature smirk. She gripped the bottom of her T Shirt and started to lift it up over head and tossed it to the floor, leaving her clothed only in her bikini.

You feel your face start to grow warm at this sight. "Wow..."

"What's the matter, dude? I'm that darn awesome for you?" Rainbow playfully asks, her smirk never leaving her face.

"Yeah," you breathed, almost not believing what's going on.

Rainbow grabs the bottom of your T Shirt and slowly raised it over your head, leaving your fit torso exposed.

"You know, I really meant it. You look hot with those abs," Rainbow says as she began to twirl her finger on your abdomen.

You chuckle at her compliment. "That did catch me off guard."

Without saying another word, you wrap your arms around Rainbow's neck as she places her hands on your shoulder. You and her lean your heads to each other, her lips inches away from yours before finally-

*ding-dong!*

The doorbell rang, startling both of you. The pizza has arrived.

"Well, this needs to wait," Rainbow says before climbing off you and putting on her T Shirt.

"Yeah," you nod in agreement as you pick up your shirt, then you give her a smile. "A least we have something good to eat."

"Ya betcha!" Rainbow winks at you.

You give your new girlfriend a quick kiss on the forehead, in which she returns the gesture by pecking your lips, before you walk towards the door.

Indeed. Things started out with a bang.
