Ringing in the New Year
It was a couple of days and the Hearths Warming holiday is over...and Equestria is preparing for another kind of holiday: New Year's! They cannot wait to see what next year holds for the ponies.
"Now remember, Ben: I want Nyx in bed once the midnight ball hits." Twilight instructs Ben as she prepares herself to head on out. The Princess of Friendship wants to get to the New Year's party in Manehattan and she doesn't wish to be late.
"No prob, Twiley. You and Rarity have a good time, okay?" Ben ask his fillyfriend with a smile. He is staying behind to watch the kingdom while keeping an eye on Nyx and the two Dragons.
"We will. Love ya."
The two kisses before Twilight heads on out with Rarity waiting for herself. As soon as the princess reaches her friend, the two head on to get to the next train to Manehattan.
"Oh, it's wonderful to be heading back to Manehattan again." Rarity said, purring as she recalls the last time that she herself and Applejack been to Manehatan. "Shame Ben cannot come."
"Well, he would've but we need someone to watch the kingdom." Twilight said to Rarity with a smile. After all, just because she is the Princess of Friendship, doesn't mean she should keep her own kingdom unruled.
"Well, that is true my good friend. And it would be fabulous to see that big ball dropped in the center of Manehattan!"
"Hello Everyone!" Then popping in between Twilight & Rarity having a conversation was Pinkie Pie.
"Oh, hi Pinkie, how was your time with your family & the Apples?" Twilight smiled off in seeing who was here now.
"Great! You would not believe it!" Pinkie Pie smiled off to say this in response.
"Well darling, I'm sure you can tell us all about it later." Rarity stated to say while getting themselves ready.
"Why, where you off to?" Pinkie asked off in being intrigue of what was going on.
"Why to Manehattan of course!" Rarity stated to say the simple response.
"Rarity says there's a special New Year's bash going on and..." Twilight stated to explain of what is occurring.
"WHAT! A New Year's Bash Party! Oh-oh, can I come along, please?" Pinkie Pie asked off in getting all excited now.
"Well I suppose there's no harm, really? After all, going to a bash with friends is the whole point." Rarity stated off in thinking that was the whole point of going to a bash, to hang with friends.
"Then I guess you’re coming along with us Pinkie, do you wanna..." Twilight was about to say something when....
"I'm already packed!" Pinkie Pie appeared with her suitcases & stuff ready.
"Okay then....that was fast." Twilight slowly stated in seeing how fast their friend works.
"You kidding me, party bashes are what I live to enjoy! Let’s go!" Pinkie Pie cheered off to say this in wanting them to get going here.

One train ride and boat ride later and the trio of friends had reached Manehattan. And just in time too, the city is getting ready for the biggest bash that this city has ever seen in the city of Equestria!
"Apple Cider, machines, games!" Pinkie exclaims as she looks around, almost feeling like passing out.
"It's like an all year party for you, right darling?" Rarity ask Pinkie with a smile.
"Yepper! So, Twilight, while me & AJ were gone, did you & Ben...kiss under the mistletoe?"
Twilight blushes as she answers her excited friend, "Why, yes, we did. And this time, there weren't any disasters unlike that Hearth's Warming Eve two years ago, what with Pegasai being allergic to mistletoes."
"Yes, that was horrible wasn't it?" Rarity ask with a giggle, hearing all about that incident.
"Donation for needy ponies." A stallion in a season’s getup spoke out in having a basket set for ponies to give donations.
"Why yes good sir, here you go." Rarity smiled off to say in giving some gems she had & coins to be generous.
"Thank you, Rarity." The stallion spoke off the mare's name.
"Wait, how do you know..." Rarity yelps as did her friends, how did this pony knows one of them?
Then the stallion removed a fake beard from his outfit & it was revealed to actually be...Johnny Brock, The Rockstar Pony!
"Hugh! JOHNNY BRO...guph...." Pinkie Pie was almost about to yell if the guy didn't cover her mouth.
"Easy, you want all of Manehattan to know?" Johnny Brock asked this while removing his hoof from the pony; no need to announce his presence for a whole media to arrive.
"What are you doing here?" Twilight raised an eyebrow in why a super rock star was out here, dressing like someone asking for donations for the holiday.
"Helping donations for needy causes, I'm doing it for a friend of mine in the music bizz." Johnny Brock smiled off to say this honest statement of what he's doing this for; for a friend of his. "We performed a Hearths Warming Eve song together to bring up the spirit." He issued this off that he & another did a song together to lighten up the spirits for the holiday.
"Really, who was it?" Twilight asked off in being intrigue who perform with the popular rock star pony.
"Was it Sapphire Shores?" Rarity asked off in having this pony on the mind.
"Does the name....Countess Coloratura ring any bells?" Johnny Brock smiled off to simply say this towards the group.
"HUUUGH! You mean....the biggest pony pop star in all of Equestria?" Pinkie Pie gasped off in having heard that Johnny Brock performed a song with someone as famous as...the Countess! "I can't believe it, your known as the biggest pony rock star in all of Equestria & you two PERFORMED together?" She issued off in not believing it, Johnny Brock & Countess Coloratura performed together.
"It was for a good cause, our publicity really helped sell out of concert while half of it went for a special subject the Countess wanted to do for the holiday." Johnny Brock smiled off to simply say this about what they were doing, what they did with the earnings from the concert that one of them has special plans for.
"Wow; that really is something, I almost wish we were there." Twilight smiled off in thinking they should have been there to see such a concert.
"Oh! Can we time travel to see it, PLEASE?" Pinkie Pie begged out in hoping they can do that, go back in time to see the show.
"Pinkie, we been over this, the answer is no, time travel is too risky to do that would change out the course of what happens next." Twilight lectures her friend from having explained the reason they can't do time travel.
"Oh...." Pinkie pouts over having been rejected of such a thing.
"Cheer up, there will be other times. Enjoy the holiday, my friends..." Johnny Brock smiled off to simply say this to cheer those up.
"We most certainly will." Rarity smiled off to happily say this in having heard this comment.
"Have a Happy Hearths Warming Eve!" Twilight stated this off to the pony to have a good holiday.
As the trio were going off with the pink pony taking the rear, one of Johnny Brock's Musical Spirit Ponies came, a mare that seem to sing a melody of the holiday but in truth was talking to the stallion in having notice what went on while the discussion brought an interesting setting.
"What's that, are you sure about that Melody?" Johnny asked this off to say while the Musical Spirit Pony Melody let of a song note in speaking of what she says is true. "Hmmm..." The guy hums to himself to think, then sees Pinkie Pie while her friends turn around a corner. "Pinkie Pie?" He calls out to approach the mare in question.
"Yes?" Pinkie Pie turn to Johnny Brock, does he need something?
"How would you like it to get the chance to request the Countess to perform in Ponyville?" Johnny Brock smiled in saying this in what he was offering the mare to get a certain countess to perform in her town.
"Hugh! Are you for real?" Pinkie Pie gasped in shock, was this really happening.
"Consider it, a gift from one musician to another. I can give you the info of where to find her & try to negotiate her arrival." Johnny Brock stated this out in having decided to let the pink pony know where he can find the Countess & try to get her to perform in Ponyville.
"You bet!" Pinkie Pie cheered forth in being ready & willing to do this. "I won't rest until I can get her to come to my town & perform a special event!" She stated this in wanting to do whatever she can to get the Countess to perform in her town, boy the others will be so surprise when they learn what she's doing to help out.
"Well, if you run out of options to convince her manager of letting her Diva perform, just say this...Johnny Brock sent you to invite the Countess to partake in the area where the new princess lives that you are her council member." Johnny Brock smiled slyly in giving the pink pony a helpful motion in how to convince the Countess' Manager to let the Diva go & perform in Ponyville, after all...it's hard to object a super rock star like himself about areas where he perform can be a good publicity stunt for others.
"Really? Think that will work?" Pinkie Pie asked off in thinking if that was the key to getting the Countess to come if she runs out of options.
"It will..." Johnny Brock nods his head in being crystal clear & assuring that the pink pony will succeed without fail.
Pinkie Pie smiled for joy as she was hopping along to rejoin the others. The Musical Spirit Pony called Melody floats near Johnny Brock in sounding very happy over this.
"This gift maybe coming late, but if what you felt was true, then Countess Coloratura will shine even brighter when going to a place...where friendship is magic & that is the magic where music can touch us all." Johnny Brock talked to his Musical Spirit Pony friend Melody over giving this late gift to Countess Coloratura, in having a good feeling that something 'special' will happen to make the mare in question...shine brighter in her music career.
Now the scene fades as the Rockstar Pony continues to get back into his season holiday getup to earn more donations to help the needy.

It is now nighttime in Manehattan as the ball is ready to drop. Everypony cheers on wildly as they drink apple cider, play games and sing together. The mayor, the new one after Ronson was exposed and defeated, was excited for the Princess of Friendship to be here with her friends that he insisted that they be the ones pushing the button this year.
"All right, you ponies ready?" Twilight ask her friends with a smirk.
"Wait! Before we begin..." Pinkie exclaims as she grabs a mike. "COME ON PONIES! WANNA HEAR ME SING?!"
"Yeah!" The crowd cheers out wildly.
"Hit it, band! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!"
The band begins to perform as Pinkie sings much to her friends' amusement. The crowd cheers and dance to the song.
Pinkie: My name is Pinkie Pie (Hello!)

Once the song is over, everyone applauds. Soon the last minute to midnight approaches. Twilight smiles as she spoke, "It's time!"
The three mares hit the button, causing the ball to drop. Everyone cheers wildly, which gets better when Pinkie took out her party cannons and fire all over the place like mad. Her friends laughs in glee!
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2...1!!!" Everyone cheers on wildly as the ball counts down.
Soon the ball lands...and a flash is heard. The New Year is here! Ponies cheer, laugh and dance, doing some stuff. A brand new year is here for Equestria!
Twilight smiles as she, Rarity and Pinkie hugs each other. What a great way to begin the New Year!

"Boy, did I have a lot of fun tonight!" Pinkie exclaims happily as the trio got on the next boat ride, preparing to head back to Ponyville after a great New Year's bash.
"Pinkie Pie, I don't know what other pony would do what you just did." Twilight said, impressed with what her friend has done at the New Year's bash this year.
"Indeed, why...I was even stump you could even do it." Rarity said, stumped by how Pinkie did what she does.
"You mean them endless rounds of Apple Cider of who can last the longest without passing out? Eh, easy...." Pinkie remarks, shrugging as what she was nothing.
"And what about when you round that mechanical Dragon?"
"That was kinda fun, but I rode on things much harder...."
"From real Dragons, yeah, I'll bet." Twilight said with a smile, knowing what her friend has ridden before is nothing compared to this.
"Thanks for letting me come along Twilight, Rarity, you’re the best friends a pony can have." Pinkie said as she hugs Twilight and Rarity, the mare is happy that her friends allowed her to come along!
"Us too darling." Rarity said as she, Twilight and Pinkie hugs their friend gently.
"Wouldn't have it any other way." Twilight said with a smile, giving Pinkie a warm hug.
This was one New Year's bash that the mare will never forget!
