Chapter 1
Authors note: This is a pony representation of ocarina of time with more action and more complex fighting then the games itself. i do not encourage trying to do anything in the story.
Especially if you happen to be a young filly


“Jay.. Jay the fairy, Come hither, It is time, for the filly without a fairy to begin her journey. Go now Jay, Bring this filly here, as quick as possible”

A deep red fairy with a black pair of wings, shot through the forest at speeds that outsiders might never thought possible, knowing the exact location of this young filly, he speeds towards her hut, slightly higher than the rest, this gave the young filly lots of privacy from the bully Gilda, who always teases her for not having a fairy. Being the only Kokiri in the forest that could use her wings(she could only slow her falls. which helps, but not as much as actually flying), She has a lot of privacy from Gilda. Griffon or not, Gilda can not use her wings, she is not strong enough to lift herself from the ground. And since the Kokiri do not age, Gilda will probably never fly.

The red fairy burst through the open window, almost dislodging the curtains from their place.
“Hey! You! Get up already!”
“EEEP!” Fluttershy squeals as she falls out of bed in surprise
Fluttershy peeks up over the bed to meet eyes with the red fairy that had just interrupted her slumber. 
She quickly covers herself with her sheets
“O.K... Anyway, the Great Apple Tree requested your presence urgently” he said, still recoiling from the rather awkward entrance. 
“Oh my! The Great Apple Tree wants to see ME!?” she stood up all the way to meet eyes with the fairy. 
“That is what I said wasn’t it?” The fairy’s tone conveying his lack of desire to be here. 
“Y-yes, of course it was” she brought her eyes back down to her hooves, thinking she had offended the fairy in some way.
“What is your name anyways? The Great Apple Tree never told me your name.”
“Umm. My name is Fluttershy” she mumbles her words, obviously shy to this new fairy.
“I’m sorry I didn't quite catch that, what was it?” The fairy put on a fake grin, however unconvincing it is. 
“my name is Fluttershy” She is still mumbling her words, but this time the fairy heard her properly.

“Alright Fluttershy, let’s go to the Great Apple Tree!”
“C-could you... Umm...” Fluttershy blushes under her covers while motioning towards the door
“what? Oh! Yes, yes of course!” The red fairy darts out the door as quick as he came in.
Fluttershy emerges from her house moments later wearing a green tunic (with holes for her wings),a conical hood over the top of her hair with holes for the ears, a leather belt with pouch full of seeds and four brown boots on her hooves, and a shy smile on her face. She Floats down to the ground and heads towards the section of the forest where the Great Apple Tree resides.

All of a sudden, WHOOSH!
“NOT SO FAST Fairy-less Fluttershy!” Gilda said in a mocking tone.
“You don't even have a sword or a shield, why do you think you’re good enough to see the Great Apple Tree?”
“Oh it’s ok I don't have to come past ill just walk away...”  Fluttershy slowly trots away with her head hung.
DINGDINGDINGDING
Fluttershy stops in surprise as Jay makes alarming noises
“Hey Fluttershy. You can’t just let that bully push you around! Stand up for yourself!”
“Oh i couldn't possibly do that. I don't like raising my voice...”  Fluttershy softly said to Jay, as if he is a small animal. 
“Well then we need to find a sword and a shield! The Great Apple Tree summoned you and it sounded very important. We should go look for a sword and shield so Gilda will let us pass.”
“Umm.. Ok.. if it’s alright with everyone else, I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience.”
Jay just rolls his eyes.

“Hey Fluttershy, check out this over here!” Jay floats around a hole in the wall, roughly just larger then the filly herself. She looks around the hole and hesitates. Suddenly a smooth wave came over her and she felt calmer then before. She knelt down and crawls through the hole, on the other side is a boulder rolling around, but strangely, she didn't feel any sort of fear like she did before. Her eyes narrow and concentrate on the boulder’s rolling, she then ran straight past the deadly rock.

Fluttershy’s heart stopped pounding violently; in front of her is a chest almost twice her size.
Her brain told her not to open it, in fear of what is inside. But her heart told her different, what could possibly be in the chest that it couldn't get out itself? It’s not even locked. She bucks the wooden chest; it swings open and releases a blinding light. She reaches in with her hooves and pulls out a sword, that’s exactly what she needs!
She fiddles around with it, and it fits almost perfectly into the cleft of her hoof (the indent) and swings it around with her hoof, it feels wrong, having a weapon in her hand, but in another sense.. It feels right, like she was born to do this.
She searches around in the chest a little more and found a hilt for the sword, which she places onto her front left shoulder blade to easily reach it.
Fluttershy sheathes her weapon, evades the rock and escapes the hole.

Fluttershy decides to practise with the weapon on some tall grass, and while cutting the grass, she found some rupees that someone must have accidentally dropped in there. She picks them up and stuffs them in her wallet. Knowing the store has deku shields in stock, she decides that saving up enough rupees would be the best option.

A few minutes of exploring for rupees later, and they reach the store with around 53 rupees. Fluttershy wanders into the store and emerges a few minutes later with a brand new deku shield, then places it on her back, because that's usually her most vulnerable place. After her purchase she returns home to grab her pair of saddlebags that were in her storage.

Fluttershy returns to Gilda, still guarding the entrance to the grotto where the Great Apple Tree resides.
“Stop right there, Fairy-less Fluttershy” she kept the same mocking tone as she had earlier in the day.
“I’m not letting you through until you get a sword and shield”
Anger came over Fluttershy, it’s like something she never felt before. Her eyes glowing white, her voice becoming large and boomed throughout the forest.
“GILDA! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!” She shouts, yet still keeping her own repertoire of words. She pulls her sword from its sheath and her shield from her back. She stands on two legs, everyone around her gasping in surprise as she places the cold steel of the sword against Gilda’s neck, and spoke once more
“IF YOU DO NOT MOVE, I WILL MOVE YOU MYSELF!”
Gilda, not used to being threatened, hesitates. Fluttershy makes several quick slashes with her sword, and in one last swift motion, All of Gilda’s white feathers and brown fur fall off.
Fluttershy calms down and returns to her normal self, her pupils return, her weapon sheathed. A smile once again across her face,
“Now if you don't mind Gilda, I think I’d like to see the Great Apple Tree now.” she said with a cheer.
Gilda, embarrassed that she is now naked in front of everyone, sprints back to her home in a quick bolt of energy.

Fluttershy finally came to the Great Apple Tree. It took her a lot of the day, and cost Gilda her pride (Fluttershy wouldn't admit it, but she enjoyed every minute of it) She had never been to the Great Apple Tree before, but something about it seems familiar, she just couldn't put her hoof on it..

“Fluttershy, I welcome ye.. Jay, thank you for escorting her here.”

“Umm. Excuse me Mr. Great Apple Tree sir. is there a reason you called me here? Because it seemed quite urgent and I’d hate to waste your time..”

“It is of no waste of time Fluttershy, an evil witch cast this curse upon me. It is up to you, to break this curse, I am counting on you. And Jay, Accompany Fluttershy in her quest, and do not fail.”

And in one slow but steady motion, the Great Apple Tree’s mouth opens like a door.
Fluttershy and Jay enter the tree, and what they saw is a great surprise to both of them.
The inside of the Great Apple Tree is all dark and gloomy, with spiderwebs everywhere.
Everything seems... Dead...
Fluttershy found some vines to climb, but she has hooves, not hands. After looking around the ground floor, she found two metal implements sticking out from some small bushes.
One end is bent, with a hook on the bend. Giving her a makeshift claw.
The other is rounded with a screw, so it could be attached to something.
The idea hit Fluttershy like a deku nut. She tightens the metal objects around her knees until the hooks were firmly attached on both sides.
She then places her hoof against the vines and pulls down, the claw hooked perfectly into the vines.
She then proceeded to almost ‘walk’ up the wall. Once she reaches the top, she realises how far she had climbed, and almost fell off. Had it not been for her wings to keep her stable, she would have fallen off.

She unhooks the claws and places them in her saddlebags. After a few feet, Fluttershy comes across a door, inside is a floating platform, and a chest on the other side. She jumps onto the platform and across to the chest. Hearing a rumbling behind her, she turns to see the platform collapse behind her.
Realising the predicament that she’s in, she decides to open the chest. Revealing a slingshot.
“What could i possibly do with a slingshot?” Fluttershy asks to herself. Suddenly, Jay comes out from underneath her hat and hovers over to a ladder, hidden by cobwebs.
”Over here you moron”
“I’m not a moron” 
Fluttershy aims her new-found slingshot and fires at the ladder, resulting in a perfect hit.
The ladder drops down like a sack of nails.
Fluttershy puts the hooks back on and clambers up the rungs.
Once outside of the room she was previously in, she sees a big wall with lots of notches in the side, like she has to climb it. But it has skulltulas on it, something she would rather avoid.
She then remembers she is holding a slingshot, she pulls out a few seeds from her pouch and fires them at the skulltulas, she cringes as she hears them cry out, then hit the floor.
She prefers to think of herself as a pacifist, but now, when something so important needs her help, she couldn't just stand around and do nothing. She has to help the Great Apple Tree, no matter how many spiders she had to kill.

She reaches the top of the tower and peers town into the abyss below. The only thing she can see is a small circle with spider web in it. Maybe if she tried to rip it from a height?
And she jumps.
using her filly Pegasus wings she is able to gain a little bit more speed than usual, it isn't much, but it does let her pierce the thick web that was covering the hole.
She lands in a puddle of water, then crawls to the closest piece of dry land she can find.
When she dries off, Fluttershy, using her wings as a small boost, hops onto a slightly higher ledge, which seems to have a longer way around(Cheating of course. But shes a pony, so she can do it.)

She grabs a deku stick and lifts it up to one of the flames, and once more burnt through a thick web covering a hole in the floor. She then jumps down.

Landing once more in water, she wades to the edge, only to be greeted by 3 deku scrubs shooting at her.
Before, she had talked to a deku scrub which had mention the numbers “2-3-1” should be used to beat his brothers(after a small ‘talk’ with the scrub).
Fluttershy pulls out her shield and aims it at the middle scrub, upon contact with it’s own shot, it turns blue and froze. This repeats itself on the second one, but not the third one, which opens the door for Fluttershy. Then all three deku scrubs return to their former underground positions on the floor.

Fluttershy walks through the ominous looking door, only to find it slam shut with no exit behind her. She hears a strange scuttling coming from the roof, Fluttershy looks up, and screams inside.
There, on the ceiling, is a huge insect creature with a large eyeball, it swivels in its socket (making Fluttershy cringe) and then drops to the floor.


Queen Gohma
Parasitic Armoured Arachnid


Fluttershy stares at Queen Gohma as she scuttles around the room, and watches as it climbs onto the roof and begins to lay her eggs.
In one quick swoop, she instinctively pulls out her slingshot and shoots Queen Gohma straight in the eyeball.
There is a huge crash as Queen Gohma falls to the floor.
Stunned, her eye turns a flashy green and swivels around erratically.
Fluttershy takes advantage of this and runs towards her, using her sword as a pole vault, she spins in the air and stabs Queen Gohma hard enough for her screams to be heard for miles around, had they not been inside a giant tree.
Queen Gohma takes a few swipes at her enemy, with Fluttershy dodging and blocking every hit she tries to land. Fluttershy throws several deku nuts at Queen Gohma, stunning her for a few seconds, allowing Fluttershy to mutilate the only weak point on the arachnid. Minutes pass, with Queen Gohma revealing her only weak-spot even less then before. Eventually, she falls on the ground, unable to move any more, Fluttery trots up to deliver the coupe’ de’ grace to the opponent..

Blue light fills the room, a crystal heart replacing the dead queen, spinning in place.
Fluttershy collects the heart and steps into a blue circle of light that appeared nearby.
Fluttershy is picked up by the blue light in a crystal, and lowered just outside of the Great Apple Tree.

“Fluttershy, although you were successful in ridding this curse, i was doomed before you started..”
“So.. Did I um.. Do that for nothing?”  Anger starting to raise in her tone
“The witch who cursed me, she wanted... This... The object worth so much that she placed a horrid curse upon me.”
Green light starts glowing in front of Fluttershy, as an emerald gem in the shape of an apple with gold around the sides forms in front of her.
“This.. Jewel...  Gather.. The... Other... Two....  Meet.... Princess... Twilight...”
“But Great Apple Tree! You cant be... Can you?” A red fairy asks
“Protect... Fluttershy.... Jay..... I... Entreat..... Ye.........”

The ground around them turns grey as the Great Apple Tree dies.

Chapter 2, Lon Lon Ranch


In the last chapter, Fluttershy has been asked by the Great Apple Tree to rid of the curse that an evil witch cast on him.  She succeeds, but too late, The Great Apple tree is now dead, and Fluttershy is now in possession of one of the three spiritual stones

Fluttershy just sat on the ground. After all her hard work, the Great Deku Tree died anyway? And what would happen now? The Great Apple Tree protected the forest from monsters, and nopony was armed for combat, except for Fluttershy.

“Hey, Fluttershy, Lets go. There isn't anything here for us anymore.” Jay said, sadness on his face.
“Ok.. Lets go...” Fluttershy places the gem in her saddlebags and exits the grove

“Not so fast, No Fairy Fluttershy.” Gilda intrudes upon her exit, still furless but wearing clothes.
“What did you do to the Great Apple Tree? Is he.. Dead? You’ll pay for this!” Gilda threatens, stomping off to her house, not wanting their last argument to happen once more.
“Pfft, she doesn't know anything. Come on Fluttershy, Lets get out of these woods before there’s an angry mob after us.”

As they walk through the exit to Kokiri village(which is large hollow log), Fluttershy feels a presence near her, Turning around, she finds it was her secret crush, Big Macintosh.
“Oh.. so your leaving then?” with a solemn look at Fluttershy.
“I guess I have to, but I can come back if you really want me to...”
“Please, take this.” Big Mac hands Fluttershy a wooden ocarina.
“its been passed down through family for generations. Such a shame the colt carrying it was attacked by skullkids.” Said Big Mac, with a small chuckle.
“I’m not sure what use it could have, because you need fingers to play it, but I’d like you to have it. To remember me by. And if you do figure out how to play it, play this song on it. To remind you of ‘us’.”
Big Mac starts humming a tune(which will be referred to as ‘Big Macs song’ from now on).
Fluttershy starts humming along too, until Jay whispers in her ear
“Hey Fluttershy, if you could blow into the mouthpiece, and I cover the holes, I bet we could play the ocarina just as if we had fingers!”
Fluttershy nods and holds the ocarina up to her mouth, blowing in tune to Big Macs humming.
Big Mac gives Fluttershy a large smile and stops humming. “Now we can talk whenever you play that song.”
“Umm.. Big Mac?”
“What is it Fluttershy?”
“dont ever forget me.. please.”
“Eeyup.” And with a wink, Big Mac walks back into Kokiri village.
After exiting the Kokiri forest, Fluttershy is greeted by an owl.
“Oh hello mr. owl, how are you today”
“Who.”
“You.”
“Who.”
“Ok then. ill just be on my way.”
Yet, after taking another few steps, she is greeted by a second owl, larger then the other and more intimidating.
“Hello young filly. Beyond Lon Lon ranch is the castle of Equestria, You should be there to meet the princess Twilight, Take care on your journey.” The owl flies off with not another word.
Suddenly Jay bursts out from sleeping under Fluttershy’s hat. 
“Hey, what did I miss? And who was that guy anyway? Well. You heard what he said, lets get going!” and immediately darts under Fluttershy’s hat. 
“Sometimes I swear he just wants to be heard” Fluttershy thinks to herself.

Fluttershy enters a close-by LonLon ranch, and is immediately greeted by the ranch hand Ingo
“Oh great ANOTHER visitor *eyeroll*. I bet you’ll make a mess and i’ll be ordered to clean it up. By Celestia i hate working at this ranch..” Apparently is having a bad day.
Fluttershy trots past Ingo and onto the field. In the middle is a handsome young colt, singing a tune.
“Howdy, you are one beautiful young filly. My names Braeburn. I’m the son of the Ranches owner.” The cheery young colt gave a huge grin at Fluttershy, she blushes.
“Hi.. My name’s Fluttershy..  Umm.. Braeburn?”

“What’d you like to know Missy?”

“why are there full grown ponies eating the grass off the ground, and where are their cutie marks?” Fluttershy had never seen a horse before.

“Why, young Missy, these are the finest breed of Horses, Although they look similar to us ponies, they are almost completely different! For one, They have little thought on most things, and as you notice, they haven't a cutie mark! They're also all earth horses, no pegasi or unicorns here!” Braeburn says in a cheery voice, as if he was a crazed pony keeping other ponies as prisoners.

“Well I’ll be, is that an ocarina? I haven’t seen one of those in quite a while! In fact, the last pony I saw with one sold us a batch of very fine horses from the east! He also taught me quite a nice song to call on one too.” Braeburn starts whistling the tune Fluttershy heard him singing earlier, Within a few moments, one horse with a chestnut body and white mane. The horse gave an appreciative Whinny and attempted to nuzzle Braeburn.

“Easy girl. Fluttershy, meet Epona. Shes the fastest foal I’ve seen on the ranch since I was born!

“Ooh, her coat is beautiful.. But why do you raise horses instead of letting them roam free?”
“So ponies can ride them, you silly filly! Apart from pegasi, horses are by far the quickest way to get around Equestria!”

Fluttershy goes to pet Epona, but the horse shys away from the young filly.
“Well shoot, seems that Epona here is afraid of you! Tell you what. I like you,” Braeburn gives a suggestive wink to Fluttershy, To which she blushes.
“Ill teach you this here song, In case you ever need it in the future!”
Understanding his notion, Fluttershy retrieves her ocarina from her saddlebags, gives Jay a small prod to wake him up, and places the mouthpiece on her lips.
Lyrical music wafts through the air, waking up the ranch owner.
After they finish their tune, Epona trots up and nuzzles Fluttershy.

“Well I’ll be! Looks like Epona has changed her mind completely about you! How about you stop by some time and we can hang out some more? Id love to now but i have chores to do.”

“I’d love to Braeburn, but I really must be going now, i have to... Visit town for a while”

“Alrighty! Hey, Me and paps have to go deliver some crates of milk to the castle, maybe well meet up sometime!” Braeburn gives Fluttershy a playful shove and walks off.
As Fluttershy wanders to the exit of the ranch, She is immediately intercepted by the ranch owner, Mr. GoldenDelicious.

“Howdy young lass, I heard that you and Braeburn are gettin’ along mighty fine!”

“well, yes but how did you-”

“Tha’ there young colt only plays that there song to people he trusts, I’d have to say, he must trust you an awful lot to teach you that song without even knowing each other.” GoldenDelicious said, scratching his chin with the edge of his hoof.

“Tha’ names GoldenDelicious, but my friends just call me Golden. Say, you look like a hard working young filly, How about you do me a favour. Collect all the cucoos that broke loose, bring them back here and I’ll give you somethin’ special.” Golden gives her a playful noogie and walks back into the house.
Fluttershy did as requested, she isn't really somepony who would say no. And she really does want to find out what that “something special” is.
Minutes pass, and Fluttershy places the last of the cucoos into the pen built by GoldenDelicious.
Fluttershy trips and her hat falls off, spilling a sleeping Jay onto the ground

“AARGH! What in the- Oh. its just you Fluttershy, are we still at the ranch? how long do we plan on staying anyway?” Jay continues on in his usual rushed tone.

“I’m just doing this one thing before we go.. if that's alright with you i mean, i wouldn't want to be a bother..”

“Uhh.. No, it’s fine. Continue. You know, you’re kinda cute without your hat.”
Fluttershy picked up the hat and trapped Jay like a butterfly, Blushing furiously she placed the hat back onto her head

“Seems like you’re all done here Missy, Now here’s that special gift i promised!” GoldenDelicious proceeds to pull out a cold bottle of milk from behind his mane.

“This special milk is Lon Lon ranches specialty. It’ll reinvigorate you when you drink it, And you know what? Ya’ can even keep tha’ there bottle. Courtesy of Braeburn” Giving Fluttershy a suggestive wink when he says “Braeburn”

“Why does everyone keep winking at me today. I’m very confused.”

Fluttershy Exits the ranch and looks at the castle in the distance. Her destiny awaits, but yet something was wrong, it seemed too quiet.”

Legend of Twilight, Ocarina of Friendship, Chapter 3: The castle



Fluttershy walks away from the ranch, placing the bottle of milk on one of the small straps on the sides of her saddlebags. Trotting towards town, she could see the guards getting ready to raise the gates for the night, due to the zombie ponies that wander around during the night.
She races towards the gate, getting on just before the guards raise it, Apparently they didn't see her.

Wandering into town, Fluttershy stops by a nearby inn to stay the night, the inn keeper gives her a stare, most likely due to her attire, But accepts the few rupees she has and shows Fluttershy to her room. It seemed alright, considering this is the first time she has slept outside the Kokiri forest.
The night sky was pretty, she had never seen the sky so clearly, as Kokiri Village was covered in tree branches and leaves. Now she regrets wasting all those years, barely even bothering to look up.

After a good nights rest, Fluttershy leaves the inn and trots towards the castle. Along the way, she meets a familiar face.

"Howdy Fluttershy!" A very cheery Braeburn shouts at the top of his voice, almost oblivious to the fact hes in town early in the morning.

"Fancy seein' you here! Say, have you seen my paps? GoldenDelicious?" He was out at tha' there castle deliverin' a cartload of milk!  'Tis not like the colt to keep his own flesh 'n' blood waitin' out in these here streets!"

"Well no but i was just-"

"Say you headin' up to the castle? Mind lookin for Paps while your up there?"

"Its no problem at all i mean-"

"well i gotta go, see yall later!" Braeburn trots off like they never even had the conversation.

Fluttershy looks down and sees an egg lying on the ground, lying next to a detailed drawing of Braeburn giving a wink. Blushing, Fluttershy places the egg in her mane, keeping it warm without its mother being present. Making sure noones looking, Fluttershy also places Braeburn's drawing into her bag, with a small giggle.

Walking out of the town square, she comes across a large gate with one guard pony wearing a patterned silver armor.

"sorry kid, nopony is allowed in or out. unless you have.. you know..." The guard holds out his hoof.
Understanding that hes talking about a bribe, she checks her wallet.

"oh. I only have one rupee left. I don't suppose you like milk?" She smiles hopefully at the guard.

"Sorry Ma'am. Lactose intolerant"

"Oh"

Walking away, she notices a strong looking vine scaling the walls of the cliff next to her.
Remembering her time in the Great Apple Tree, she reaches into her bag and attaches the hoof-hooks securely. Once she started scaling the wall, she only then realizes that she is scared of heights. She passes out.

Fluttershy wakes up several hours later, at night, no less. Remembering the predicament she's in, she doesn't look down and keeps scaling the wall. She reaches the top and continues on forward,
She reaches a bridge, which is actually the roof of the gate she was at earlier. On the other side is a guardpony facing the opposite direction. if they caught her, they'd undoubtedly throw her out.
She jumps off the roof, trying to slow her fall using her wings. Once on the ground, she sneaks past a few guards by passing through the garden.
Once she reaches the front gate, no surprise, there are more guardponies.
She throws a rock at one of them it hits him on the forehead and knocks him out cold(silver isn't a good material to make armor out of.)
The other guardpony, freaked out by the situation, rushes off to the other guards for help. Taking this opportunity, Fluttershy rushes past the passed out guard and around the corner, and ends up where the deliveries are delivered.
To no surprise she finds a sleeping GoldenDelicious on the ground.

"Umm. Mr. GoldenDelicious sir, your son is waiting patiently in the town square if you dont mi- oOH!"

Fluttershy is immediately cut off by a cucoo hatching from the egg she kept inside her mane.
The cucoo wanders up to GoldenDelicious and grows very loudly.

"WHAT  THE CELEST- oh its you! Howdy! Yup, just finished deliverin' the last of the milk."

"Golden, your son is waiting in town for you. I don't think he can sleep on the streets anymore"

"What'ya mean? its only been.. 2... days... OH CELESTIA! BRAEBURNS GUNNA KILL ME!" And with that, GoldenDelicious dashes off in a bolt.

Jay comes out from under Fluttershy's hat.

"Hey, where's he off to? Oh well. Cmon we gotta find a way to get into the castle!"
Jay looks around for a few moments before pushing into one of the crates of milk on the ground.

"Don't just stand there, help me!"

Fluttershy did as asked, and after a few seconds of straining and pushing, they finally shove the crate of milk into the moat underneath. She stands on the crate and looks around, trying to understand what the fairy was getting at. Spying a drainage on the other side of the moat, she flaps her minuscule  wings and jumps to the other side. Landing safely, she proceeds to crawl up the drainage area, getting her boots soaked as the water gushes past.

Once she exits the drainage, she is immediately greeted by the backsides of two guardponies.
Eventually the guardponies move along, patrolling more areas of the castle. Fluttershy quickly ran behind a nearby hedge and surveyed the area, looking for guards. They seemed to be moving in a regular pattern. Remembering the time she dodged the boulder, she memorizes the patterns that each guard was moving in and sneakily gets past the large group of guards.

After the last set of guards(who almost caught her), she's at a large stone archway with a garden on the other side. Wandering through, she sees a familiar shape, yet she has never seen anypony outside the forest before. Looking around, she sees that she is in a small hideaway, with where she just came from being the only entrance(which explains the abundance of guards) Fluttershy approaches the figure, which is a lavender unicorn filly, roughly the same age as her, wearing a white and pink dress.

"??  oh!" the purple figure bursts out in surprise, she was looking through a window behind her to notice Fluttershy.

"Hey, green clothes. red fairy... You wouldnt happen to come from the forest with a green stone that looks like an apple?" The figure asks.

Nodding, Fluttershy pulls the Spiritual stone from her saddlebags and shows it to her.

"Wow. I'm on a roll."  The figure clops her hooves together and looks at Fluttershy, confused by the ordeal.

"Oh sorry, my apologies. I'm princess Twilight Sparkle, I've been spying on my dad, hes been doing some careless stuff lately and i wanted to try something!"

"You see, sometimes when I'm dreaming, the dreams come true! and my second last dream had my dad making a deal with that ugly pony over there. She points her hoof towards the figure kneeling in the throne room, the figure had a long sparkling mane, like the night sky.

"I think she's planning something, but I don't know what. So what's your name?" Princess Twilight changes the subject completely, from a dark foreboding topic to something the casual person says to a stranger

"I'm... Fluttershy. Pleasure to meet your um... Majesty.." Fluttershy replies, Putting on a shy smile.

"Please, just call me Twilight, and in case you were wondering, I saw you in a dream, well, not exactly. I was reading up on the history of Equestria, and i kinda... Forgot to sleep for 3 days. So i pretty much passed out. Anyway, i saw in my dream, Equestria covered in eternal night, but suddenly, out from the forest burst a ray of sunlight, the light concentrated into one form, a pony. with a red fairy. As the pony walked around, the forever night suddenly lit up into bright daylight.
I believe, that this pony in question, is you, Fluttershy. You are the only one that can save Equestria from Nightmare Moon and her eternal night."

Twilight turned around to face Fluttershy,

"So will you do it? I'd really appreciate if you helped me with this!"

Fluttershy's ears perked up at the word "help"

"Of course I'd love to help! But umm.. Do i have to avoid all those guards again? It wasn't easy getting past them."

Twilight puts her hoof to her mouth and whistles, Within a few moments, a zebra wearing a purple suit walks up to the pair.

"This is my assistant, Zecora. She will help you out on your quest! Oh, and i have one more thing for you.." The princess turns around for a few moments and turns back floating a piece of paper into Fluttershy's saddlebag using her unicorn magic.

"This is my signature, i have a feeling it will come in handy eventually. Talk to Zecora if you are ready to leave"

Fluttershy nods and turns to Zecora

"Could you please, i mean if it's no trouble, lead me out of the castle?"

"Of course young pony, its no trouble at all. To help with your task, ill take you out by the wall."

The pair wander past numerous guards, some giving Fluttershy strange looks, then resuming their duty. Once they reach the outer wall of the city, Fluttershy thanks Zecora before starting to wander off.

"Halt young pony, do not venture far, i have yet to tell you something to get you on par.
This song i will teach, and only to you, will aid in your journey. Info will help too."

"I played this for Twilight, when she was a filly, to get her to sleep. she acted quite silly."

Zecora puts her hoof to her mouth, and whistles a tune.
(For those who have played ocarina of time, this is the time you learn Zelda's lullaby, if you have not played the game, i reccomend youtubing the tune so you are familiar with what you are hearing, as the storyline relies on music a lot.)

Fluttershy reaches into her saddlebags and pulls out her ocarina, nudging Jay to wake up(why does he need that much sleep anyway?), she raises the ocarina to her lips and begins to play along. Fluttershy does her best to memorize the tune.

After their session is over, Zecora speaks once more.
"Now pony, there is one thing you should know, The Goron village will be the right place to go. Their race is proud, and mighty strong, Housing the next stone, you cannot go wrong. Beware though, young pony, though all not is as it seems, they have problems of their owns, falling apart at the seams. Death mountain is where their race proudly resides, the stone around them, as tough as their hides."

Fluttershy turns and looks at death mountain, when she looks back Zecora is gone.

"Well i guess its time to go."

And with that, they were off.

Legend of Twilight, Ocarina of Friendship. Chapter 4: Death Mountain



Fluttershy heads towards Kakariko village. Not knowing what to expect, having not being outside the forest in her life, she does not know what kind of things she could expect from a place that seems so hostile from the ground.  After entering Kakariko village, she immediently notices a large windmill looming over the back half of the town.
After wandering around the town, and investigating the graveyard, she finds a small coop with a lady with her hooves up to her face in frustration and worry. 

"Oh deary me what will i do, i cant go get them myself because I'm allergic to cucoos.. Little filly! Could you do me a very big favor? I need to get all the cucoos back in the pen. I'll reward you for helping!"

Realising that she had already done this, she just felt the need to ask

"Is the reward a bottle?"

"yes"

"Oh ok then, I guess I can help."

Although it is the same task, Fluttershy finds finding the cucoos in the maze of a town a lot more challenging then on the flat surface of the ranch.
The cucoos are everywhere! behind walls, up ladders, in places she didn't even think they could get.
Once again she returns the cucoos, taking longer then at the ranch because of the maze of buildings.
She thanks the woman, places the bottle in one of the straps on her saddlebags, and walks to the back entrance of the town.

A guard pony stands at the gate, reading the latest issue of "Playcolt". Almost instinctively, without even looking up from the magazine, he responds

"Sorry, Death Mountain is closed, can't help ya, it has been ordered by the king blah blah blah." He sounds like he's said the same thing almost a thousand times.

"Umm, I have a signature from the princess.. Would this let me through? Fluttershy produces the signatured paper from her saddlebags.

"Oh hahahaha this is hilarious!" The guardpony laughs heartily at the paper
"Hey filly, I'll let you through but don't come crying to me if you lose a leg!" Fluttershy's heart sank at this statement

The guardpony pulls open the gate

"Hey filly, that wooden shield wouldn't be much help up there, but hey don't let me stop you. wahahahahah!"

Once Kakariko is out of sight, Fluttershy sees numerous things that look like red spiders, but with only four legs, Several are hopping her way.
Remembering the guards insult, she pulls out her sword and dismembers them, gruesome as it sounds, no blood comes out. She reaches an area with an overhanging rock, and a circle of small stones in the middle, she looks up at the edge of the overhead rock, Spying a strange object, she stands still for a moment, transfixed by its white glare.
She picks up a rock and throws it at the object, it moves for a moment, and starts sliding off.
It barely misses Fluttershys head, she faints for a few hours, wakes up, and faints again.
It was a skeleton.

The skeleton is not like a regular skeleton, it has two legs with feet, not hooves, and hands, and a dome shaped head. But what creeps Fluttershy out even more is that it's wearing an almost identical outfit to her, minus the sword, and only wearing 2 boots.
She notices it had a large metal shield on its back. She takes the shield off and straps it onto her back, it's too large to hold, and the handle is too small to fit her hooves.

After burying the skeleton (she cant just leave somethings remains out in the open can she?), she ventures on inside the mountain, and into Goron Village. What she saw will haunt her for the rest of her life. Gorons, everywhere, all starving and skin and bones. She heard that Gorons ate rocks, so why aren't these gorons eating anything?

As she wanders the twisting and turning halls of Goron's village, she becomes more aware of the situation of the world around her, Wandering up to what was marked the house of the tribe leader, "Darunia"
Seeing a message on the doormat saying "Only messengers of the royal family may enter.", Fluttershy takes off her cap, jabs Jay and gives him stern look saying "stop sleeping all the time"
As Fluttershy takes the ocarina out from her saddlebags, Jay takes his position operating the holes. After playing Twilight's Lullaby, the pair hear a grunt and the large stone door lift up.
Jay perches himself on Fluttershys shoulder. As the pair enter the room, they're greeted quite rudly by a very unhappy goron.

"WHAT!? When i heard that song I expected a member of the royal family to come, hopefully to help with our food problems! Not some wimpy filly! My people are starving to death! Ive had to hide the spiritual stone, the symbol of our people, from hungry gorons! If someone doesnt help us soon, then well all die!" Apparently this goron was not in a good mood.

"Mr.Goron sir, I might be of some assistance if you'd like..."

"What? You!? Bahaha, You're just a filly, Tell you what, ill give you a go! If you can cheer me up and get rid of the boulder in front of the Dodongo caverns, I'll let you put your own flank on the line! bahaha!"

Fluttershy trots out of the room, and wanders around Goron's village, hoping to find some way of cheering Darunia up. After asking the shop owner, Biggoron(who apparently was working on 'something special'), and several other gorons, she was stumped. There seems to be no way of cheering the guy up.
Suddenly, almost from nowhere, she hears a familiar tune.

As they walk through the exit to Kokiri village(which is large hollow log), Fluttershy feels a presence near her, Turning around, she finds it was her secret crush, Big Macintosh.
“Oh.. so your leaving then?” with a solemn look at Fluttershy.
“I guess I have to, but I can come back if you really want me to...”
“Please, take this.” Big Mac hands Fluttershy a wooden ocarina.

“Umm.. Big Mac?”
“What is it Fluttershy?”
“dont ever forget me.. please.”
“Eeyup.” And with a wink, Big Mac walks back into Kokiri village.]

"Hey! What are you doing? We have no time to dwell in the past! come on! Lets go, SOMEONE around here must know how to cheer that goron up!"

As the two walk away, Fluttershy sees out of the corner of her eyes a small imprint, which seems to be a flank marked in the dirt , one of which can only fit a certain goron.

"I think.. I know how....." Fluttershy flashes a small look of regret before continuing towards Darunia's room.

Fluttershy approaches Darunia with a solemn face. As soon as she pulls out her ocarina, Darunia raises an eyebrow, which only adds to Fluttershy's idea. 
She shakes Jay off her shoulder, and motions him to play. Big Mac's song wafts through the room, 
Darunia stops, stares for a moment, then suddenly breaks into dance.

The dance lasts for a few minutes before he finally stops, with a gigantic grin plastered on his face.

"Ah! I feel so much better! Whats that? You want to help with our problem? Hahah, I see you eyeing the spiritual stone. Tell you what, Take this bracelet, It'll give even a tiny filly like you enough strength to harvest the Bomb flowers! And maybe even give you a little more punch, eh?
If you succeed in ridding Dodongos cavern, our main food source of the cursed dodongos, I'll give you the spiritual stone! As a token of my appreciation."

"Of course, but umm"

"Darunia"

"Darunia sir, If you gorons eat rocks, why don't you just eat regular rocks?" the question still plagued Fluttershy's mind.

"The rocks of Dodongos cavern are delicious, in fact, my people pretty much refuse to eat anything else! Even with their own lives on the line! Gah, if that bloody Nightmare Moon didnt block off the cavern, none of this would be happening!"

"Nightmare moon, sir?"

"Some wicked sorceress, She asked for the spiritual stone and blocked off our food, hoping to siege us in hopes of getting the stone. Luckily we have some kind people like you around!"

Fluttershy gives a nervous laugh and backs away from the room.
Wandering out from the village, she sees a goron standing over a bomb flower.

"Uhh. What are you doing"

"Sheltering this bomb flower from the sun! They usually only grow in dark damp areas so one in a place like this is extremely lucky!"

"could i use it for a sec? I have a couple of rupees if-"

"Of course! For no charge! These plants grow back quickly so its not a problem!"

Fluttershy picks up the bomb flow and throws it infront of the cavern, it explodes, destroying the rock.

She ventures down the mountain and reaches the entrance to the cavern, which is just below where she just was. A Roar can be heard from the cavern.

"Looks like my adventure hasn't even started yet."

From now on i will be writing this in past tense, as it is easier and less confusing to write in. Please do not comment on this as it would be a pain to rewrite the other four chapters 

Legend of Twilight, Ocarina of Friendship. Chapter 5: Dodongo's Bane

Fluttershy stared at the entrance to the cavern. The roar of the wind from its tunnels scared her. Determined to show that she was more then a stupid filly, she ran in without a second thought. What greeted her was nothing more then a stone wall and a few bomb flowers. Strange, for their main food source it sure was small. She slumped against one of the walls. The impact knocked a stone loose, hitting fluttershy on the head. She yelped a little, and rubbed the spot with her hoof, It was a little sore, but it would get better eventually. She looked up at where the rock had been dislodged, and saw a room on the other side. Cursing her stupidity, she plucked a bomb flower and placed it next to the rock-fall, before running to a safe distance. The bomb exploded and rocks flew everywhere. Fluttershy protected her head using the metal shield she obtained earlier.

When she walked to the next room, it was huge, with a massive Dodongo skull in the middle. Daunted, but not stopped, Fluttershy looked around for the next way to go. In the middle of the room was a platform, across a small trench filled with lava with only a few platforms inbetween. In the middle of the platform was a strange yellow statue, with a rotating eye on the top. She didnt want to take chances, but she knew she had to go that way at least once.

"Eenie meenie minie woof." she was deciding which path to take, there were two identical sides to the room, the only exception being a hole in one of the walls.
"catch a skullkid by the hoof, dissapearing in a poof, eenie meenie minie woof"
She was using a rhyme shared around in Kokiri village to make decisions. She had heard it while listening in on others, trying to learn what she could do to fit in with the rest.
She decided on the right path, having a bomb flower was a convenience as well.

She hopped onto the platform in the middle of the lava moat. The statue focused on her, and she heard a high pitched noise, before a blue beam came out of its eye. Startled, Fluttershy stood there until the beam finally got to her hoof. It singed her boot before she finally reacted and got out of the way. She threw a deku nut at the statue, and it instantly snapped its eye shut. Getting a breath of air, Fluttershy calmed down and proceeded to hop across the lava trench once more to the platform she was heading to. Once she got there, She wiped the burnt leather ashes off her boot, and proceeded forward. 

She inspected each of the walls, before stopping at one that was heavily cracked. She plucked a nearby bombflower and set it down next to the cracks. The explosion rocked the walls, almost literally. Being in a cave the explosion was amplified, and a few rocks fell from the ceiling, breaking some parts of the overhead bridges. She peered inside the new cavity. It was fairly dark, but she could see some changing light on the other side. Silently sneaking through the stone hallway(it was easier when wearing boots, as they masked the clop of her hooves) she peered around the corner, to see fully grown dodongos, breathing fire at eachother as a sign of dominance. neither backing down.

Fluttershy drew her sword, and leaped through the air, aided by her itty bitty wings. She struck her sword down on the neck of one of the beasts. It bounded off with a 'CLANG'. Not sure what to do next, she backed away, the dodongo turned around, and took a deep breath, Knowing this wasn't a good sign, Fluttershy leaped behind a rock just in time before a large surge of fire engulfed the space she was just in.
Only now did she realize what the guardpony meant when he said that the wooden shield would be useless.

She heard a lizardic roar and turned the corner. The dodongo that the first one was fighting had clawed the other ones tail, revealing to Fluttershy that armor around the tail was not present. Once the two dodongos were concentrated on eachother again, she snuck up behind the closest one, raised the sword above her head, and jumped onto its tail, piercing its skin with the sword, using it like a handle, she gripped onto it for dear life, as the dodongo spun around in pain. Fluttershy accidently let go, and her hoof landed in the other dodongos eye. It screamed and tried to swipe at Fluttershy as she was trying to remove her hoof. which was now covered in eye goop. Having experienced worse (dont ask), Fluttershy gripped onto the sword in the tail of the still spinning dodongo, using the momentum to pull her out. It worked. She was launched, along with her sword, into a stone wall. It sent a shockwave of pain through her body. Having not experience this sort of pain before, it wasnt easy to tolerate it.

She lifted herself to her feet, and pulled the bottle of milk she had received earlier out of its strap. She uncorked it with her mouth and took a huge gulp, but still leaving a little in the bottle just in case. She corked it and placed it back on the strap. GoldenDelicious was right, the milk reinvigorated her, and took away all the pain.
With a healthy body, and a sharp sword, Fluttershy rushed towards the dodongos, running and jumping to avoid fire and tail. She dove towards one of the dodongos, sliding under its tail with her sword pointing up. It sliced it clear off. The dodongo started to bleed, and eventually died. Its tail started flash, and return to normal, before eventually exploding. Knowing how to defeat them now, She smirked, it was the first time she had ever smiled while under pressure. She ran towards the dodongo, but instead of slicing under it, she jumped onto its back, and held onto one of the spikes on it. She lifted her sword up high and began to hack at the tail, as if it was a piece of meat ready for the chop. It soon came off, and in a similar fashion to the other, it exploded. leaving no trace, apart from the blood and burn marks on the floor.

When she entered the next room, she was slightly annoyed, as there was lava everywhere with small platforms floating on top. And to make matters worse, there were two lizard men with knives, looking at her while bouncing around. They came up to her in turn, Each trying to slice through her to get a feed. Luckily she still had that metal shield, so all their slashes bounced off when she angled it right. They were actually easier then the dodongos, as they had no armor or anything. She quickly finished them off while trying to avoid burning to a crisp.

The next room was virtually empty, aside from a few baby dodongos coming out of the dirt, there wasn't very much action. The next room however, had a large staircase surrounded by bomb flowers. Noticing the fairly obvious way to pass, she plucks a bomb flower not on the staircase and places it in a gap between two bomb flowers.
Once it goes off, the entire staircase crumbles until its just high enough for a pony to climb up. Fluttershy had to use her wings for a small amount of boost, because she was only a filly. 

She reached the top of the staircase, and proceeded to exit the room(smashing a few pots for rupees in the process). In front of her was a large brown chest, similar to ones in the Great Apple Tree. When she bucked it open, she found a stack of bombs and a tough bag made from dodongo hide. Placing the bombs in the bag, and the bag on one of the leather staps on her saddlebags, she proceeded to exit the room, which led her back to the main chamber. She accidently stepped on a switch, which actually made one of the platforms down below raise up and down like an elevator.

In front of her was a sign reading "When the great dodongo sees red, he will show the correct way to go".  Jay woke up when he heard the elevator platform hit the ground with a tremendous 'THUD'. He looked around the room and saw the giant dodongos head, and the sign. He looked at Fluttershys bombbag before finally speaking up.

"I bet you 20 rupees you have to throw bombs into its eyes"

Fluttershy didnt accept the challenge, but instead just did as instructed. Each eye lit up red, and once so, there was a huge rumbling as the giant dodongos mouth opened wide. revealing a trail.
