Starlight sat in a chair inside Twilight's castle, going through all that happened yesterday. She held her head and shook it. Through all the years, she has felt alone, and all because of... of a stupid cutie mark. She has ever since despised cutie marks, and wanted to cease them from existence. Such a world she wanted, and if she had it all right in plans, she could've ruined it. All of Equestria... in ruins... all due to one event. ONE event...

Sunburst's cutie mark... Sunburst... her best friend, and only friend... or was one. She couldn't help but remember Sunburst leaving her, and it wasn't his decision to do so. And ever since he left to go someplace else, she sat there, nopony to be with. She had no friends... all because of that. And because of that, it led to her turning into some equalist... some sort of dictator trying to force all ponies to be equal. And yesterday, she learned that it all led to a downfall.

If it weren't for Twilight's wise words, nothing would go well. And now, she has changed. Reformed into a better her. She apologized to her village she once ruled, and apologized to Twilight and all her friends for what she has done in the past. Everything went better, as now Twilight wants to help Starlight learn what it is to become a true friend, and how to gain some friends. Starlight smiled to herself. "Maybe... maybe this can't go wrong..."

Twilight came into the room, looking at Starlight. She had just woken up. "Morning, Starlight." she said, yawning loudly. "Doing anything good?"

Starlight slowly nodded. "Yeah, but not much." Starlight frowned and sighed.

Twilight trotted up. "Listen, Starlight, I know things haven't gone well for you since yesterday, even with all the apologies and change of heart." she said. "But Starlight, I swear, I'll help make your life better. Make it how you wanted it to be... And I know how to start it off well today."

"How?" she asks, raising a brow. "Haven't we already started with the apology to my village and becoming friends with you and your friends?"

"Well, yeah, if you put it in that way." she said. "BUT, I have some good news for you. I have... someone who'd like to see you." Starlight's ears perked up, and her eyes widened.

"R-Really?" she asked in surprise. "Wh-Who?"

"Come on." Twilight said, jerking her head to the hallway. She trotted out, and Starlight followed, feeling a little... uneasy. Who could possibly want to see her? Matter of fact, who'd LIKE to see her? She already saw about every single pony she screwed in her life and every pony else in Ponyville whom she never saw in her life, so what gives?

Then... a quick pony traced through her mind. One she hasn't seen yet... one she is familiar with... No, it can't be. As Twilight trotted out of her castle, Starlight rushed through the doors. "It can't possibly be! No way!" She was in the broad daylight, only to see two ponies: Twilight and... and... "S-S-Sunburst?"

In front of her was an orange, male unicorn with a white blotch on his nose, and white hooves. But most noticeable, was his cutie mark. An orange circle with sun rays on the bottom right, and sparkles covering around the circle. This vision was most definitely memorable to Starlight, and she put her hoof on her mouth.

She took steps down, getting a closer look at the unicorn who most certainly could be her once best friend, now a stallion. Twilight stood next to him, smiling, while Starlight had tears fill up her eyes, more with each step she took. She couldn't believe who she was seeing. It just really couldn't be... after all these years of separation, ever since she was a filly, it really was him. Sunburst.

"Starlight?" he questions in a high voice. "Is it really you?" He looked at her, and by the looks of it, she's changed. A lot. Her pigtails were no more, she wasn't a small, little filly (of course), and she sounded a little more mature. "Are you really... Starlight Glimmer?"

The two had an awkward moment of silence, both scratching hooves on the ground, not knowing what to say. After all, it was about ten years since they have last met. Sunburst left to Canterlot ever since he had success with using magic, and stayed there ever since with his family. Starlight, his best friend, on the other side...

Starlight looked at Twilight, who was still smiling. She looked back at Sunburst. Finally, she spoke. "Yes. I-I'm Starlight Glimmer. And y-you're Sunburst?"

"Yes." he said, then all of a sudden, a tear jerked from the corner of his eye. "It's really you." He then got a quick and sudden hug from Starlight, surprising him. It was tight and meaningful, and on his shoulder, he felt water wetting it. Starlight let her tears flow, hugging her long-lost friend that was forced to leave her. Her friend that received a cutie mark and made her never have any more friends due to that. And she couldn't be any more happier right now.

"I can't believe i-it's *sniff* really you." she cried in his shoulder. Twilight expected empathy and a joyful reunion, but she didn't expect the out-of-nowhere burst of tears from Starlight. She still kept her smile. Matter of fact, her smile grew wider. After half a minute of Starlight weeping into his shoulder, Sunburst returned the hug and let another tear jerk down his cheek, smiling. Soon, they released the hug.

"I can't believe it's... it's really you! Ten years, Starlight." Sunburst said.

"It has been that long, hasn't it?" said Starlight. Sunburst nodded. Quickly, Starlight turned to Twilight. "How'd you get him?"

"I actually asked Princess Celestia to help find him. Since she has every pony's name in a book, she eventually found him, and I told him that he'd be seeing you again."

Starlight started to tear up again. "You did? Y-You really did this, for me?" Twilight nodded, then receiving a hug from Starlight, which was just as tight as Sunburst's. "Thank you... Thank you..."

"Anything for a friend." said Twilight, returning the hug. Just then, Twilight released. "Come on, why don't the two of you talk? Seems like you have a lot to catch up on."

"You can say that again." said Sunburst.

"Same here." Starlight smiled at Sunburst, and Sunburst smiled back. The two then walked down the hill into Ponyville, where a lot was gonna happen in Starlight's life. And this may have been just the beginning. "So, how was Canterlot when you left?"

And it was just perfect.
