Just an Average Guy

When Discord betrays the elements of harmony for a second time--this time releasing all of their major villains--there is only one hero who can stop them.

Discord was thought to have finally come to the side of harmony and light, but it turns out to be quite the opposite. He betrayed the land of Equestria--a land which has forgiven him twice--for a second time. He has now released all of Equestria's greatest foes against his most formidable adversaries, the Elements of Harmony.

The land was flooded with smoke, and great fires that ravage all in its path. The treacherous Chrysalis aims to control the land and oppress the ponies into nothing but mindless servants for her hungry children, while brutes like Tirek aim to gain as much power as possible. In the mean time Discord just sits back and watches with a gleeful, menacing, and malicious smile.

Luckily for Equestria, they just got a new hero.

Large clouds of smoke hung in the air, clouding the sunlight from casting onto the land below. The smell of sulfur stung into the noses of everypony, and fire raged all around. Screams of terror reverberated through the air, and the cries of children added to the dreariness of the situation. Ponyville was in utter chaos, and the cause of it was non-other than Discord himself.

"How could you!" Shouted a wounded Fluttershy, her voice cracking from not being used to such a high tone of voice.

Discord merely gawked putting a lion paw to his chest. "How could I, how could I? My dear Fluttershy, do you have any idea how hard it was to act friendly all this time?" With a snap of his eagle claw, a makeshift stage with crude representations of Fluttershy and her friends appeared. Discord took the look of a stereotypical director sitting on a chair with his name on the back. "Let me give you a dramatic reenactment of what I had to put up with."

The makeshift characters on stage started going through the events of what had happened since Discord was reformed, except making them seem like complete bumbling fools. The makeshift Discord however looked just like the real deal, probably because Discord just made a carbon copy of himself just to make himself look better. The Discord revealed to Fluttershy that he just faked his reformation in order to get closer to his enemies and take them out easier. His whole act fooling everyone including the princesses. It also revealed that when he betrayed them the first time it was meant to be serious, it was his mistake in trusting Tirek that lead to his downfall. He had to silver tongue his way back to being accepted by his so called friends.

Tears welled up in Fluttershy's eyes, and she sputtered out. "I-I thought... I though-"

"Thought what? Thought that we were friends? Heavens me no, that was just an act. Fun while it lasted though." With another snap of his claw, the stage disappeared, and with it his garbs. "Now then miss Fluttershy." Another snap from Discord, and from out of thin air a dimensional rip in space-time appeared. Discord levitated Fluttershy just in front of it before saying. "Ta ta, it's been fun knowing you." With that he threw her into the rip, and she let out a deafening scream of sorrow and despair as she was swallowed up in the icy clutches of the void.

As the rift vanished, Discord turned back to the burning village of Ponyville before saying aloud. "Now where was I." He stroked his beard, before a light bulb appeared above his head. "Oh yeah!" He snapped his claws, and a throne appeared behind him. In his clutches was a bowl of popcorn, and a refreshing soft drink. "I was busy enjoying this lovely, lovely day."

A tear in the fabric of space appeared just above one of the streets of City Z, and from it a buttered colored pegasus pony popped out into existence. She landed with a audible, "Hmmp." On the hard asphalt below. Her mane frazzled, and her left wing twisted. It took a moment for her to regain her bearings, slowly standing up from her daze with tear stained cheeks that were a painful rosy red.

"Huuh." Fluttershy gasped in shock, surrounding her were large buildings that seemed to cut into the sky. There was also a lack of trees and wild life, everything giving off a dreary aura of grey and emptiness. "Whe-where am I." She said shivering in fear, lacking the power to take any step forward to explore her environment. Everything was just so menacing, she had never seen anything quite like this. The closest she could relate to was Canterlot, but even that was dwarfed by the sheer scale of the structures before her.

Her mind wondered back to her friends, how they were in great danger fighting the changelings and the re-released Tirek. She wished that she could have done more to help them, she loved them and all she could do was cower in fear. How could she do such a thing, she thought of herself as a selfish coward who only dragged her friends down.

"No..." Fluttershy said in a low tone to herself. "I am not a selfish, friend burdening, fool." She raised her head up high, and with new found vigor said aloud. "I must find a way back to them, I have to help my friends anyway I can."

She took her first step forward, one by one she started to trot down the street into the foreign land she dropped into. She was scared, sure, but she had the drive and determination to do what was right. Even if it meant that she was going to have to trek into the unknown, where anything could jump out and attack her.

As she made her way further, and further into the depths of the city, she found random spontaneous lights flashing on top of tall poles. She was unsure of there meaning, but shrugged it off and proceeded onto the middle of intersection. Unaware of her, the light red meant for all beings to stop in their tracks, and wait for their turn to go.

"Whats that noise?" Fluttershy asked as her ear twitched from the sound of what sounded like an engine on a train, except more condensed. She turned to her left were the noise was coming from. "Eeeep!" She squealed; a large metal vehicle of some kind was racing down the street heading right towards her. Her legs instinctively clenched up, along with her right wing. She was frozen with fear, much in the same way that a deer would be in the same situation.

She shut her eyes closed, and internally shouted. Please Celestia help! She shivered in distress for what felt like eternity, but nothing seemed to happen. It was as if time was at a stand-still. Why am I not squashed yet? That thing should have ran me over by now...

Hesitantly, she opened up one eye noticing that she was not in the same location as before. She was now on the sidewalk, away from what surely should have killed her. Opening up both her eyes, she looked around and noticed a strange looking creature standing before her. It was fur-less, and wearing the most ridiculous garbs. It was wearing a yellow uniform with red gloves and boots, along with that it was wearing a white cape blowing in the wind.

Looking down upon her, the creature said plainly. "Never seen anything quite like you before... Well in any case you should pay more attentions to your surroundings." The strange creature turned around and started to walk away, slowly leaving behind the pegasus he just saved.

"Wait!" shouted Fluttershy, trying to get the attention of her savior.

"Oh." The creature turned around looking back at the pegasus again, this time saying. "So you can talk?" He began walking back to her, falling to a knee to be on her level. "What are you, some kind of talking horse?"

finding it more easy to speak, she replied. "Well... kinda, I'm a pegasus pony." Shuffling her hooves, she continued. "What are you exactly, I never seen anything like you before?"

"Well." He started. "I'm just a guy who is a hero as a hobby, but I suppose you were wondering what my race is. I'm a human, duh, were not exactly rare." He just continued to give her plain look after that.

Fluttershy on the other hand was thrilled with vigor, she had just found someone who could help her get back to her friends. On top of that he was a hero, someone who can help with the cause to save Equestria from its most nefarious foes. With eyes sparkling she said to him. "A hero! oh, that's great. I needed to find someone like you to help me get back to my friends." The man just gave a questioning look in response. Fluttershy began to explain to herself. " You see my name is Fluttershy, and I come from a land called Equestria. It is a land of great prosperity and harmony, but as of late one of are allies... and close friend has betrayed us. It turns out the Draconequus name Discord was never on our side, and all he wanted was to cause chaos and havoc among Equestria. Playing us for fools, and making the ones who cared for him very upset."

Fluttershy rubbed her left arm. while the man gave a irritated look, it looked like he was really annoyed with the actions of the one named Discord. Fluttershy continued with a few tears starting to form in her eyes. "He released all of Equestia's greatest foes, beings of immense evil and power. They seek to take over our home, turn us into mindless slaves, and make us shadows of our former selves. Plea-"

Suddenly the man put a finger to her lips, silencing her rant. "That's enough! Can you shorten it to twenty words or less." The man grinded his teeth with annoyance, hating it when people give their whole life stories when they could just skip to the point.

Fluttershy quivered, and fell to her hunches. Hiding her face behind a curtain of her pink hair. "Basically." She muttered in a low tone. "I need to get back to my friends, and Equestia needs all the help it can get."

The man stood up high, returning back to his basic visage. "Ok." Fluttershy stood back up, yelping a bit at the pain in her left wing as it bumped against a pole next to her. "Where is this Equestria you spoke of, I've never heard of it before?" The man crossed his arms in thought, looking around the area to get an idea of where Equestria was.

Fluttershy answered him. "Well, the fiend Discord sent me her through some sort of portal... It was like space had been ripped." She clopped her hooves together, realizing that it may be impossible to return to her home.

"Oh, then why didn't you say so." The man spoke up, in the mean time Fluttershy internal face-hoofed. "We'll just have to make another hole back to your home, simple as that."

Fluttershy merely felt uncertain, how simple could making a portal be? It sounded like something Twilight would explain in a very complicated way, so how could they possible make such a thing?

"Just stand back Fluttershy." The so called hero put a hand to his side, signalling her to stay back. Getting into a fighting stance, the man put his right fist to his side and shouted. "Dimensional punch!" With that he launched his fist faster than the eye could see straight in front of him. Lightning forming around his fist has it connected with the air in front of him, large winds destroying the buildings that laid before him. Fluttershy's jaw dropped, and she soon dove for cover behind a trash bin. Hesitantly, she took a look from behind the bin and was left in total awe.

What was the result of the mans crazy act was a similar portal that the likes of Discord created to send her here. "Bu... how... h-how did you do that?" She was barely able to spit out as she was left frozen in place looking at the spectacle in front of her.

The man turned to her and said. "Simple, I just punched with enough force to open up a portal between worlds." He gave her a deadpanned expression.

Fluttershy was still slacked jawed, but felt foolish as she realized she forgot to ask something so simple. "What... What's your name sir?" She slowly started walking up to him, closer to the same void she traveled through to get here.

The man pointed at himself. "Me? My names Saitama." He then pointed towards the portal. "But we need to get moving, this opening won't stay this way forever: It will collapse soon."

Fluttershy nodded her head slowly. "Right." She and Saitama made their way into the portal, traveling across the boundary that connected the two worlds. The opening soon collapsing as they entered, leaving the area they left back to the way it was. Except for a few broken buildings that collapsed in on themselves as the portal vanished.

Another rip in the fabric of time and space appeared in the world of Equestria, hovering just above the outskirts of Ponyville. Popping out was the same being who created the rift, and the one who brought him to this world. Saitama landed on his feet, while the pegasus stumbled, plopping on her face as she landed.

She audibly let out "Umph." In pain from the impact.

Looking around, Saitama tried to get an idea of where he would soon be doing battle. He was next to a cottage, with a forest behind him. In the distance he could see towering flames engulfing a town: the town of Ponyville. "So this is the place?" He asked.

Getting up from her landing, Fluttershy got her bearings and answered him. "Y-yeah... It's truly awful, how could anypony do such a thing?" Her face was downcast in pain from witnessing again her burning home.

"No point in asking that question, evil usually never has a proper reason..." Replied Saitama, a more serious tone than he usually spoke.

A buzzing noise started to envelop the ears of Saitama and Fluttershy. Wondering where the noise was coming from, the two looked to the sky's. What they saw was a squad of Changeling drones making their way towards them. As they approached, Saitama tilted his head and said. "You guys sure have big bugs." The changelings insectoid form striking out to him.

Fluttershy froze up, hiding behind Saitama as the changelings landed on the ground before them. They bared their fangs, hissing with malice at the beings that they found outside of town. "T-those are changelings... they h-helped cause this along with their queen." Fluttershy meekly let out behind Saitama.

"Oh." He responded looking at the hissing, mouth foaming, and teeth grinding changelings.

One of the changelings mustered up the will to attack the hairless being that stared at him. Opening his mouth to bite down on his victims neck. When he reached his target, he snapped his mouth shut on what was to be a fatal blow, but for some reason nothing laid between his lips. Instead the area where the strange being was was empty. Not a trace of him or the pony that was behind him.

"You stay here." Said Saitama off to the side, setting Fluttershy down next to a couple of bushes to hide behind. She nodded her head slowly, and went behind the bushes, popping her head up above them slightly to look at what was about to transpire.

Turning back around to the changelings, Saitama got in a fighting stance. The changeling from before--furious from being embarrassed by missing his mark in front of his allies--lunged at Saitama for a second time. Faster than the eye could see, the changeling suddenly exploaded into a million tiny pieces. His entrails and bits of his body scattering across the area, coating one of Fluttershy's cheeks with green blood. Her jaw fell for the second time that day, and it was revealed that in place of where the changeling was was the right fist of Saitama, smoke flowing off of it.

"I hate bugs..." The caped hero said lowly.

The other four changelings blue eyes shrunk in horror as they witnessed their brother in arms explode right in front of them. They never seen anything quite like this before, and it frightened them, but they were also enraged by the fact that they just lost on of their siblings to this strange being. Looking at each other, they nodded their heads before all simultaneously lashing out at their enemy.

Saitama just maneuvered around each one of their attacks with ease, a bored expression on his face. They kept on trying to assault him, if they missed they would just turn back around to lunge at him again. To no avail, though, he just kept moving around them as if they were moving in slow motion, not a single fang or hoof was laid on him.

In another flash, the changelings started to explode. Their guts joining their previously defeated companion, Leaving a green, mushy mess around the area. Only one changeling survived the onslaught that just took place, he jumped off to the side away from his foe. Jaw wavering, and face giving the textbook definition of shocked. His knees began to quiver as the man who just punched his group of fellow changelings to pieces turned to look straight at him. A glow in his eyes.

The man started to walk towards him slowly, and the changeling just gulped, to afraid to move a single muscle. Closer and closer approached the man, intent on finishing his fight. Somehow mustering the courage to move, the changeling turned around and took to the skies. The only thing on his mind being. I have to tell the queen!

As he flew away off to the distance back to the town of Ponyville, Fluttershy walked out of the bushes and spoke in awe and a little semblance of disdain. "T-t-that was... how are y-you? You could have beat them without... killing them." She looked at the guts and green gush of changeling insides around her. Appalled by the sight, she felt her insides welling up in her throat approaching her mouth. Her face turned green, and she turned back around to the bush a puked out all that was inside her stomach.

Turning to look at the sicken pegasus, Saitama said. "Sorry... I can't hold back that much strength, it's just impossible for me. Man I wish I could find just one person who I could have a serious fight with." A memory of a fight he had with a powerful alien came to his mind. At least boros took more than just one punch.

After finishing puking out her stomachs contents, Fluttershy turned to speak to her companion. "It's just... It's just a bit of a sad way to deal with the problem. We have already shed enough blood over this pointless dispute." She laid her head low and a single solitary tear fell down her left cheek.

Saitama felt an actual emotion of sorrow in what has felt like a long time. He didn't like to see the little pegasus pony look so sad, he was going to make that face happy again. "Fluttershy?" He asked, trying to get her attention.

"Yes." She replied, wondering what he was going to say.

He knelt down to her level to make himself look more genuine. "I know it may not be the most ideal way to deal with these evil villains, but it's the only way to make things right. I promise that I'll try to hold back as much as possible, but I can't promise that more are not going to fall at my hand." He patted her on the head. "I'll get rid of these evildoers so that you and your friends can go back to having a normal life again. That is what heroes do after all, right?"

Fluttershy raised her head to look at him, his small smile setting her back at ease. She knew that if he was going to save her friends and their home he was going to have to spill a bit of blood. Standing up she said to him with a a small smile of her own. "I understand... Thanks by the way, all of Equestria really appreciates what your doing for us."

Getting off his right knee and standing up again, he turned around and said to his pegasus friend. "Well, we better get going. Those fires aren't gonna put out themselves."

As he began to walk Fluttershy replied with. "Right." She then began to walk with him down that road to Ponyville, there they would meet the nefarious beings who are causing this atrocious affair.

"Y-you won't get away with this, Chrysalis!" Yelled Twilight as she battled the changeling queen. Their beams of magical energy clashing against each other, neither one giving the other leverage: they were at a snail mate.

"I'll admit." Chrysalis started to speak, a bead of sweat dropping down her forehead. "You certainty have improved since the last time we met." She grunted as Twilight's magical beam started to slowly overpower her own. "But you still have a lot to learn, little one." With the strength only the queen of the changelings could muster, her magical attack grew in size overpowering Twilight's.

"No..." Was all Twilight was able to say before she was completely engulfed in Chrysalis's attack. Her form disappearing in the flash of magical light.

As a explosion of magical energy erupted from where her foe was, Chrysalis covered her eyes in order to protect them from being blinded. As the explosion faded, Chrysalis uncovered her eyes to gaze upon her hard work. All that she could see was a large cloud of built up dust from the magical burst of energy from a moment ago. "Seems I may have over did it little." Slowly the dust cloud started to disperse, leaving a sight that she has been waiting to see for a long time. The alicorn that ruined her plans of taking over Equestria was gone, completely disintegrated by her magical prowess. "Though, that's not necessarily a bad thing." She smiled maliciously, and gave a maniacal laugh in victory over her enemies defeat. Feeling very accomplished in the feat.

"Not so fast, Chrysalis." Came the very familiar voice of a princess that should have died in the explosion a moment ago.

Turning around to look off not to far into distance, Chrysalis eyes dilated and she let out a snort in irritation. There stood Twilight surrounded by a recently established magical shield. The flames of her towns destruction billowing shortly behind her. "Need you forget that I can teleport away from your attacks."

Chrysalis growled in anger, baring her fangs at Twilight. "Curse you, you insufferable foal!"

As They shined their horns to let out another barrage of attacks willing to strike one another down at a moments notice, the sound of buzzing changeling wings vibrated in their ears. In just a few moments later one of Chrysalis's changeling drones landed next to her, bowing and paying his respects before saying in a panicked voice. "My queen, I bring terrible news."

This aggravated the queen even more, she was already annoyed enough with Twilight being alive, but now one of her drones dares interrupt her duel for ill news. "Speak quickly my child."

She gave him a glare that sent shivers down his spine, prompting him to phrase what he was about to say wisely. "There has been an incident just outside of town. A strange being has appeared along with that yellow pegasus: he killed all of my squad with ease. It was like he wasn't even trying, my queen I bring this warning for you not to underestimate him. He may look odd, but he is immensely powerful. I barely escaped with my life."

Chrysalis raised her brow in question, who could stop a whole squad of soldiers in such a way that it prompted one of her ever steadfast children to retreat. "Powerful you say? Certainty there is no one in Equestria besides the elements of harmony and the princesses that show power that can rival me. That is if you just count the ones who would appose me, Discord and Tirek are of another matter."

The changeling looked pale in the face, well, as pale as black chitin can get. "T-trust me my queen, I wouldn't have come to you so quickly if it was just another trivial creature or pony. This... thing, this thing is something else. I've never seen anything like it in my life." He looked downcast, trying to hide his miserable state from his mother, his queen.

Chrysalis frowned, she had a lot on her plate as it was, Twilight and the elements of harmony causing her to push the edge of mental sanity. But now, now one of her subjects is telling her of another being that needs to be taken with caution. She was the queen of the changelings, who else would appose her, she was one of the most feared beings in all of Equestria. You would have to be a complete imbecile to even consider an open confrontation with her. "We'll just have to see about this... creature you speak of. I'm sure that it is nothing of real concern, now begone! I have to return to a certain purple pest of mine."

The drone saluted her and took to the skies, joining in another squad to hunt down the towns citizens for a food supply. Chrysalis will have them as nothing more than cattle. Chrysalis turned to face Twilight again, but was taken back by the sudden appearance of a bipedal, yellow clothed, cape wearing being. His head shining from its pure lack of fur of any kind. "W-what?" She questioned her eyes, not believing in what she saw. She had no idea where it came from so suddenly, and silently for that matter.

Fluttershy's twisted wing was being melded together by a spell cast by her close friend Twilight, putting it back to its proper form. "Thanks so much, Twilight." She gave her a sincere smile of appreciation

Twilight gave her a nod and a smile in return, happy to assist her anytime she may need her help. "It's no problem at all, anything for a friend." She then turned to look at the pegasus's companion, the ever underwhelming hero of city z. Well, underwhelming in the looks department that is, certainty not from the hero standpoint. "But who is your friend her, Fluttershy. I've never seen anything quite like it..."

"Oh." Saitama turned to look at the purple alicorn that stood beside him, looking down to look her in the eyes. He then pointed to himself. "Me, well I'm just a guy who serves as a hero for a hobby." He then turned to look at the changeling queen that stood a small distance away. "I'm to assume that is one of the villains?"

Hero for a hobby, what type of guy is this? Twilight thought to herself as she looked over the mans stature. To say she was skeptical would be an understatement. "Yeah." She nodded. "Her name is Chrysalis, and she is the queen of the changelings, the insect creatures who are currently hunting down innocent ponies in order to feed on their love."

Fluttershy moved next to her friend Twilight, and began to whisper to her off to the side. "I know he may not look it, but Saitama here defeated a whole squad of changelings without even trying. If there is anyone who I think can help save Equestria, it would be him."

Twilight was a bit shocked at learning of Saitama's prowess in battle, she was also not expecting to here Fluttershy speak so highly of him. She looked down for a second in thought, debating whether her friend was right in her judgement. After a moment she came to the realization that if this was coming from such a close friend, what right did she have to deny his worth? "If this is what you truly feel, Fluttershy, then I trust your judgement."

"Hey. Insect lady!" Saitama called for the queen of the changelings who was still questioning her very sanity over the absurdity of seeing such a interesting creature. It was especially hard to accept that this was the one her child spoke of: he was right in saying that his looks were not all there to put it lightly.

The queens demeanor faltered for a moment, shocked at being addressed in such a way. "Insect lady?" She spoke to herself, taking in his words. Her looks then became that of hatred, loathing the being who spoke of her in such a deplorable manner. "You dare speak to the queen of the changelings in such a disrespectful manner? Know your place, knave."

Saitama just stood there, puzzled over her temperamental outburst. He scratched his head before speaking again. "So I heard you and your fellow insects feed off of love. How is that even possible, love is not a tangible source last time I checked?" He then scratched his chin, thinking of a way that it was possible to feed off of others love.

A vein appeared on the forehead of Chrysalis, she was at her limit and wasn't going to take another second of this nonsense. "Quit calling me insect! Me and my children are changelings, and we are much more dignified and intelligent than mere insects."

Saitama just smiled as a snarky reply came to him, he then decided to share it with the his current enemy. "If you were intelligent, you wouldn't be so ridiculous as to think you could actually feed off of love." This answered the feeding off love question to Saitama, and also explained why the queen was so skinny. She must have been without proper food for years.

The queens blood boiled to the point that her entire face was crimson red, and that steam was now flowing out of her ears. "That's It!" Her horn then began to glow a sickly green. "I've had enough of your insolence!" She aimed her horn at her opponent, and fired a beam of green energy right at him. The beam disrupted the air around it as it traveled, launching dirt and whatever was in its path into the air. The beam then struck Saitama right in the face, he didn't even bother to move.

Twilight only had time to cast a protection spell over her and Fluttershy, guarding them from the shock wave of Chrysalis's attack. Clouds of dust obscuring their vision, blocking them from seeing the fate of Saitama. As the effects of the energy blast wore away, Twilight released her spell and Fluttershy called to her friend. "Saitama!" She ran from the side of Twilight, desperate to find a sign of Saitama still being okay. She used her wings to protect her eyes from the dust that cluttered the air around her.

"Let that be a warning to all who oppose me, the queen of the changelings!" Boasted Chrysalis as she admired her handy-work. The dust started to disperse, reveling bit by bit the area of the energy beams blast. A arm started to become visible in the cloud of dust, then another, and then a torso. Chrysalis eyes dilated into pinpricks as Saitama was reveled from the behind the veil of dirt particles. "H-how... I put everything I had into that blast?"

Fluttershy stood next to the man, a smile spread across her face. "Thank goodness you're alright, Saitama." She was filled with joy to see that he didn't even have a scratch on him, even after taking a full powered energy blast to the face from Chrysalis.

"It's not like she's that strong or anything." Saitama still had the bored expression from before, not a care in the world for his opponent. She already showed that she was too weak to be a worthy match.

Not strong? Who is this guy? Twilight's mind was in overdrive, trying to figure out a good explanation as to why the man before her was able to take Chrysalis's attack without so much as a single mark of damage.

Chrysalis was thinking something along the same lines, perplexed and frightened at how resilient the man before her was. She has never come across such a being, anyone with half a brain would have tried to dodge her attack or defend against it with one of their own. But this guy was different. he didn't even bother to do anything, he just shrugged it off like child's play. What am I going to do? Chrysalis mentally asked herself, no longer confident that she could take on this man by herself. "That's it!" Chrysalis said aloud as an idea came to her head.

"Oh, have you decided to come and fight me head on or are you just gonna stand there with your mouth open all day?" Asked Saitama waiting for his foe to finally try another attack.

It was then that Chrysalis mouth formed a smirk, she knew what she was going to do to combat this new threat to her rule. "In a manner of speaking." She replied, her horn glowing.

After a bit of watching her with her horn aglow, Saitama grew impatient. "Your horn is glowing... that's not exactly combating me head on." He scratched the side of his face in confusion. As Saitama stood there stupefied by the current events, he began to hear the sound of buzzing bug wings. The same sound that the changelings from earlier produced when they were in flight. He looked to the sky only to spot more of the creatures he had fought before, this time they were in much greater numbers. In every direction all he could see in the sky was changeling upon changeling, there must have been at least a couple hundred flying towards him and his new partners.

"The manner of speaking being that I will fight you, along with all of my children!" Chrysalis let out a malicious, maniacal laugh. She was now confident that she was going to squash this new pest like a bug, ironically. There was no way he could take her on, along with her entire changeling army.

"H-H-How... how are we supposed to win now?" Twilight said distraught and frozen in place in fear. She had no idea how just the three of them are supposed to take on an entire army. Especially an army that can shapeshift, use magic, and fly. Anyway you look at it they were, they had the complete advantage in this fight.

Fluttershy just cowered in fear, having no other idea what to do. Her heart was racing so fast she could hear it.

Chrysalis took on a fighting stance and shouted to her army. "Attack my children! Show them why no one should ever mock the changeling race!" With that the changelings began to sky bomb towards the three heroes, picking up speed the closer and closer they got. Some of them bared their fangs, others licked their lips in anticipation. All of them, though, had the intent to kill their targets.

Twilight charged up her horn, casting a barrier around Fluttershy and preparing enough energy to put at least a tiny dent in Chrysalis's forces. "If I can't at least defeat a small portion of these monsters, than what kind of a princess of Equestria am I?" She bore a look of complete concentration and seriousness. She was not about to go down without a fight and let her country down.

Saitama turned to her for a moment, a smile beaming across his face. "That's the spirit!" He then turned back around to face the army which was just about to reach him.

Twilight on the other hand was a bit startled by his sudden change of demeanor, so far he never showed any sign of emotion. Besides from sudden spikes of snarky-ness and confusion. She didn't let her questioning mind get in the way though, she did have more pressing matters at the moment after all. After shaking her head to clear her mind, she shot a volley of magical energy beams at the changelings diving at her. Dozens of the insectoid creatures were incinerated from the power behind the beams of energy which collided with them. They didn't have much of a moment to react being that the energy beams traveled faster than they could react at the distance they were located.

Behind her, Saitama got into his fighting stance. Preparing himself for an attack that would eliminate a good chunk of the changeling army. His fists began to move faster than the eye could see, and he said aloud for all to hear. "Consecutive normal punches." The aftermath of the onslaught of supersonic punches from Saitama was changeling guts and body parts being flung around all the surrounding area. It covered the sides of buildings, and coated the ground around the attack a gooey green. At least a fifty to seventy five changelings perished instantly under the might of the Saitama's powerful blows.

"H-how?" Was all the Changeling monarch was able to let out as she watched her children get massacred right in front of her.

The changelings that didn't die after the initial attacks were unleashed, landed on the ground around ten feet away from the trio who opposed them. They were left in a state mixture of awe, and fright. On one hand they just witnessed a good portion of their siblings perish into nothing but changeling goop, on the other hand they were left amazed by the fighting capabilities of the strange creature they never met before. They still kept their hateful gaze on the group of heroes, though. They had to find a solution to getting close to them without losing to many of their comrades in the process.

It was the changeling queen who came up with the idea that would let them get into the enemy lines, and hopefully take them out. Chrysalis spoke out to her army of changelings. "My subjects, lets show them what really makes a changeling unique. Show them why we are considered the greatest masters of deception in all of Equestria!" She was regaining her composure from earlier, if she was going to win this battle she needed to keep a level head.

The changelings started to have light green flames engulf their bodies, blocking off all visual signs of them to those who were viewing. When they flames dissipated around them, all that remained was astonishing to Saitama. He saw himself right in front of him, another him. But it wasn't just another him, other changelings transformed into Twilight and Fluttershy. As more and more changelings transformed, Saitama grew more and more confused. "Huh." He muttered out, a perplexed look to him.

Fluttershy raised her head weakly to get a look at what was going on. "N-not again..." She mumbled quietly to herself. She was so scared, she didn't know what she was going to do. She was no fighter, she would just get in the way of Saitama and Twilight. How was she going to be of any use in this situation. If only I was able to help in some way...

"Saitama?" Twilight called for her new friend.

"Yes." He responded, turning around to meet her eye to eye.

"Do you have any ideas on how we're going to get out of this? It was already going to be hard when they were in their normal states, but now that they've shape shifted into us. I have no idea how we're going to do this." She peered into him, hoping for him to somehow have any fraction of an idea. Anything that could work would be monumentally useful at current time.

"Nope." That was all he said to her before turning around to gaze upon the army of him, Twilight, and Fluttershy's.

This struck Twilight with a sudden feeling of grief and hopelessness. "Great..." She said slowly to herself, turning around to look upon those who were probably going to kill her in the next upcoming moments. She may have just found the most oblivious imbecile in the entire universe, there wasn't a care to him. This only made her dread worse, of course he was amazingly strong, but that could be a disadvantage in this situation. No telling who's going to be on the receiving end of those powerful blows.

"Charge!" Yelled the queen of the changelings, her wicked smile returning once more to her face.

The changelings in disguise did as their ruler told them. Charging towards the three heroes head on, having the full intent of this being their last attack. They were going to finish them off her and now. As they approached, Saitama, and Twilight readied themselves. They were going to give it their all against these fiends.

The group of changelings behind Saitama and in front of Twilight were the first to arrive. Swallowing Twilight and Fluttershy into the depths of their ranks. Saitama took notice of this, and was left unguarded for a moment as he turned around to see if his friends were alright. The army that was on Saitama's side took advantage of this, and began to send a barrage of bucks, punches, and bites upon the hero. Showing no mercy, and making every hit count.

Unbeknownst to them, however, Saitama felt none of their blows. It was like a mosquito bite. Saitama used pure force of his will to launch all the Changelings off of him, he was dead set on protecting his friends. As their bodies went flying into every direction, crashing into buildings, carts, and all the other objects in the vicinity. Saitama frantically looked around to see if he could find his friends, but it was to no avail. All he could see was dozens upon dozens of changelings disguised as them, he had no idea who the real ones were. Not even the changelings knew precisely who the real ones were either, as they had skirmishes among themselves trying to find Twilight and Fluttershy.

A bead of sweat went down Saitama's brow. Is this the first time I'm not able to help save someone, is this where I fail as a hero. These were the thoughts rushing through his head, he had no idea how he was going to save his friends from these monsters. He dodged the attacks that the shapeshifted insects launched at him, even the surreal punches of the ones that looked like him. I'm sorry... He evaided another attack, and was to hesitant to hit anyone. Not sure if he would hit one of his friends or not. I wasn't able to help after all, Fluttershy. I wasn't able to save yours and your friends life...

"Saitama!" Came a soft voice from the crowd. "I'm over here, Saitama!" The voice continued to call for him.

Saitama recognized that voice. "Fluttershy, is that you." He was still hesitant, it was most likely a changeling using her voice against him. He made his way through the crowd of assaulting changelings, and came to a halt as he saw a wonderful sight. It was Fluttershy, the real one because this one was still inside the barrier Twilight conjured. "Fluttershy!" Saitama shouted as he ran up to her.

As he made it to the barrier, he knelt down to greet her. "Saitama, thank goodness it's you." Fluttershy said from within the barrier.

"Fluttershy, are you all right?" Asked the hero, worried for her well being.

"Yeah, I'm just fine. This barrier Twilight summoned around me has kept me safe from the changelings. They haven't been able to break it." Fluttershy gave him a reassuring smile. After a moment she gasped as she remembered why she called for him. "Saitama, I have something important to tell you. It's Chrysalis, you noticed how she is not among her changelings."

Saitama turned around to see the queen of the changelings off the battlefield. He then turned back to his friend, and nodded his head. "Yeah."

"Well, if you go and beat her. I'm sure that her changelings will be to frighted to attack you or us anymore. Their queen is their guiding light, and you need to put out that flame. Go Saitama, I know you can do it." She gave him the most sincere and caring smile he ever saw. It filled him with unparalleled determination.

Saitama smiled back at her, before turning around to stare at where the queen was located. "Chrysalis!" Yelled the man.

The queen was startled for a moment, before looking at where here named came from. Scrunching her name in disgust at the sight, she replied to the man. "What is it you pathetic whelp, don't you see that your friends are probably dead by now. You lost, face the facts. I was the victor in this fight, and you failed."

"Your wrong, Chrysalis." He rebutted.

"How so, I don't see where your coming from." Chrysalis then began to laugh at the heroes situation, happy with how her planned had turned out. He would never dare attack any of the changelings in fear of hurting his friends, he was in checkmate.

Saitama smiled as a comeback came to his head. As the changelings around him and took notice, they began to lunge at him. As they drew near, Saitama prepared a running stance and then took off faster than the eye could see. The ground shook under the force of his take off, leaving a crater where he was. The changelings that where about to attack him launched in all directions, there bodies breaking and distorting from the shock wave he left in his wake.

The queens jaw dropped, and a sweat fell from her brow.

"Your right, you didn't see where I was coming from." A voice came from behind her, a all to familiar voice.

"N-no." Was all she was able to say before Saitama's fist collided with her face. The force behind it was so powerful shock waves went throughout the town of ponyville and beyond. The shock waves were powerful enough to knock the breath out of everyone, but not strong enough to cause real serious harm. Chrysalis at the epicenter of the blow, exploded into an uncountable amount of tiny bits. Her from becoming just a smear on Saitama's glove.

All the changelings before him turned to look at where their queen used to be, they reverted back to their normal forms as the state of the situation hit them. The man who just killed their queen stared down upon them, his eyes glowing and a serious frown upon his face. They started to shake in fear, they knew their time was up and he was the reaper.

"Hey, Changelings!" The man yelled at them. He them pointed a thumb at himself. "My name is Saitama and this land is under my protection, so if you think about harming anyone, then you have to answer to me!"

The changelings didn't want to fight him, after his display of power there was no chance in victory. One by one they began to take flight, and fly off back to where they came. As more went into the sky they all started to leave, all of them on a trip back to the badlands to mourn their fallen queen.

As they left, Saitama let down his serious look and stared down to look at his friends. Twilight looking a bit gruff from her skirmish, but still overall okay. While Fluttershy was unharmed in her barrier. "Saitama!" They both called to him. Twilight finally let down the barrier around Fluttershy.

He jumped down from where he was and walked up to his friends. "I did it." He said to them a small smile upon his face.

Twilight smiled back, and Fluttershy gave a little laugh. "You sure did, and a bit of a show off I might say." Fluttershy said to him.

Twilight turned to Fluttershy and nodded before turning back to ask Saitama a question that has been bugging here. "So, Saitama. How exactly did you get so strong? I've never seen someone so strong before."

"Oh." He said. "Well it's very simple really, I just trained so hard that my hair fell out." He just gave her the smug look you give someone when an answer is obvious. Obviously Twilight didn't think it was.

"Right... training. Still results are results." She was about to ask what type of training, before a moment of realization dawned upon her. "Oh yeah that's right!"

"What's right?" Asked Fluttershy, turning her head in confusion.

"Discord and Tirek are still on the loose, there's no room for celebration yet, we have to go stop them." Twilight frantically replied before taking off to go find the fiends who were destroying her kingdom.

Fluttershy cast her head low as she remembered her last minutes of her time with Discord. Saitama noticed this and asked. "Discord and Tirek, you mentioned them before. So what are they exactly like?"

"You'll see when we meet them, lets just catch up with Twilight for now." Replied Fluttershy as she stood up and began to walk down the path Twilight took. Saitama followed suit, curious as to what he was about to get himself into.
