> Confession > by Gloria Beezus Rose > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Secrets > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was another peaceful day in PonyVille. Like usual, one alicorn mare sat inside her castle, alone reading. She had a purple coat and a navy blue mane with magenta and purple stripes through it. She was taller than most ponies, and her cutie mark was really special, her talent with magic. the mare slow lifted her head, to think about the spell she just read. Her name was Twilight Sparkle Princess of Friendship, a mouthful, right. She sighed, her friends knew something was up with her, and for once she didn't know how to fix it. Flutter shy one of her friends caught her rambling about how she should rule Equestria, which she should. Maybe a nice flight would help cheer her up? She got up and walked over to a window, and gave a powerful boost with her hind legs and she was of. The wind under her feathers felt wonderful, when was the last time she'd done this? She did not remember she felt like she was free no long could Twilight feel the strain, stress and pain of the weights that were her life. Maybe she could just fly away to someplace else, start over. No that was not an option that was a very bad way of saying "I fooled you all I'm evil." She was evil. Nothing else to it. Well, being that there's no definition of true evil. She was evil, just power hungry, like Sunset Shimer. Celestia was foolish, how could you not notice? Hopefully, Celestia didn't hear, yet. She knew Fluttershy hade told her other friends. She based that off of how they acted around her after the incident. It wasn't fair, she should have just as much power and control as Princess luna, and Celestia did. If not more. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw what seemed to be a blur of rainbows going by at full speed. Rainbow Dash, well that's who she thought it was. She acted as is she wasn't there. The blue pegasus, with a rainbow, mane, was her friend, well she had lots of friends hense the name Princes of Friendship. She hoped the rainbow mare wouldn't talk to her, so she picked up her speed so that Rainbow, would be far away from her. The thought just came over her where was she going? Where did she want to be? Once these thoughts came over her, she looked up to Canterlot. She trusted Celestia, but why shoulds she? Maybe she could get something out of it? She set her course for Canterlot, and she would be there soon. Once she arrived at the beautiful mountain capital, she landed right in front of the gates and hesitated right before she entered. Was this really the right choose? Of course, it was she told herself. She entered and headed straight for the throne room, which is where Celestia would be right now. She hesitated once again before she enter, but she knew this was the right choose? Righ? She entered. Celestia was sitting on her throne reading documents, and signing laws. "Celestia?" Twilight said and the alicorn princess immediately got off her throne and greeted her friend. Which Twilight pulled away, quickly looking away from her teacher. "I have a confession to make." "Yes Twilight," Celestia said look at her student with concern whatever it was, she would need to listen. Her concern grew as there was an awkward silence. "Well, I if only this could be easy," her heart was now racing with nervousness. "For about a month now I was going away from everything you taught me about friendship. I even hated you for the past week. But as I, though, what was the use of this? Was I going to kill you and take the throne for myself, no I would just grow in hatred and eventually turn into something like Nightmare Moon. I could not do that to you. I could not do that to myself. I came here to confess, and get this off my chest," Celestia had a concerned look on her face, but it then grew to smile, and soon after that Celestia gave Twilight a hug. "You do not know how much this means to me, to think that you started to resent me and then turned away from that. It's a lesson I could have never taught, I have a confession as well lately I've been worrying and fretting over out next enemy, even to the point of not trusting you to be able to take care of it." "I was so nervous about confessing to you, I thought that I would be banished to the moon!" Twilight said breathing a sigh of relief at her forgiving mentor, well she wasn't her mentor anymore. They were equals. "I'm glad that I confess I mean you would have found out sooner or later." "You're right I would have and then I'd be devastated. To lose you it would be like loosing my sister all over again. I don't think I could survive it a second time, but luna is back now and she would have helped me get through it," Celestia said smiling at her faithful student, she couldn't have asked for a better one. Twilight was like a daughter to her. "Well I have lots of work to get done, it was nice talking to you, Twilight. A good way to break of the stress of work." "You're right I should head back and talk to my friends about what I'd learned, and then I could give you a friendship report on it," she said turning around to and then using her magic to open the doors of the throne room. "It'll be fun especially since they are the ones he noticed my 'of behaviour' well see you later Princess," she said waving a hoof goodbye to her friend Celestia. "And Twilight, call me Celestia or Tia," C~elestia said as she sat down on her throne and smiled back at Twilight who was already her way out the door, and did not hear. She could not have a better friend.
