Episode 13: Origins of Cyber
''You ain't goin' anywhere C!''
''You just wait! I'll escape you ponies!''
The Cybers and the Mane 6 chase after C and two Changelings, who hurries into an icy cave.
Going deeper into the cave, they notice several marks onto the walls.
And these walls look way too familiar for what could be Equestrian Standards.
As they reach the deepest part of the cave, the three siblings, the filly and the mares are shocked to see what's in there.
Two weeks before the events of the cave, Jay paces through his basement as Rick, Gary and Cyan Flower enter the basement.
''What's up?'' Gary asks.
''It's C. The radar has located him near Manehattan.''
They gather around Jay's Map, which is like a radar.
''See? That red dot is C. Campin' out in the mountains near Baltimare.''
Rick raises his hoof.
''Doesn't the lay-out of the map look just like the United States?''
They look at the map.
Rick, shoving his hoof over the Map, says: ''It kinda does. You know, he's near something we had once our base.''
Gary nods.
''Let's go pay him a visit!''
Cyan isn't sure about what her father and uncles discuss.
''Shouldn't we ask Princess Twilight if she agrees to do this?''
''Yeah and ask if she comes with us.'' Gary says.
''Now that ye mention, maybe she could come along. As long as it ain't Friendship talk comin' up.''
His brothers leave the basement as Jay says to Cyan: ''Derps cannot go. She isn't capable of fighting.''
Cyan nods.
Jay packs his bags together with Cyan.
Seeing his daughter trembling, he asks: ''You okay? You sure you wanna go with us?''
''I'm fine dad. I'm just, so, nervous.''
Jay sits next to his daughter and lays his hoof on her shoulder.
''Hey, it's okay to be scared. I was too on my first mission.''
''Y-you were?''
''I recall it like it was yesterday.
It was just after Gary and I found out our adoptive parents passed away. We went on a journey through the Texan Wastelands, and discovered that the world had more secrets than mankind knew. It was later that I overcame my fear for the unknown
and saved my brother. But that's all history.''
''That's our Family History?''
''And that Gary, Rick and I are the kids of Zeus, but that goes way further into the Family History. You may be called Hooves, but you are also part of the Legend Family. Never forget who you are and lose yourself in your fears.'' and he kisses his daughter on her head.
They carry their bags downstairs where Derpy is crying.
Worried, Cyan asks: ''What wrong mom? We'll be fine.''
Still crying, her mom says: ''I know. But the thought of losing both of you. It's just so painful.''
Jay comforts his marefriend.
''We'll be fine Derps.'' He says while hugging her. ''You know us. We defeat anythin' that gets in the way of our goal, or harm our friends and family.''
Through the tears, a smile appears.
''Okay.'' She says through the tears and smile. ''You just better come back!''
''I promise.'' He kisses her once again.
After picking up Rick from Canterlot, the Girls from their usual whereabouts and Gary, the Cybers are waiting with some other ponies as they wait for the train.
Multiple green flashes come from the place they are heading.
Cyan, who is scared, sks: ''Are we gonna be okay dad?''
Jay, dreamly staring in front of him, comforts her. ''It's just a lightning storm. Nothin' to be afraid of, honey.''
Jay puts a headset on Cyan's ears and says: ''Listen to some music, while we're ridin' towards our destination. Don't worry 'bout fallin' asleep, we'll wake you up.''
Cyan gets shaken in her sleep, while hearing: ''Wake up Cyan!''
Cyan opens her eyes and sees the face of her father, comforting her.
Jay smiles and says: ''The train crashed. Luckily the girls are okay, mainly thanks to Rick''
Looking around and seeing wreckage of their train, Cyan asks: ''What happened to our train, and to the other passengers.''
''The train got hit by that strange lightning and then crashed. I don't know what happened to the other passengers, but I fear the worst for 'em.''
Cyan makes a squeel out of fear.
''Nah, they're fine. Gary has taken them to Dodge City. It's juts waitin' for him to return.''
Jay looks around and says: ''It could've been worse. But we have to move on. Baltimare is just 47 miles away.''
After helping the girls on their feet, with the atmost thanks from Rarity, they move on.
While walking North-East, Jay says: ''I think that the lightning that struck us wasn't regular lightning. Somethin' tells me C was behind it.''
''How could you be that sure?'' Rick asks.
''The way the lightnin' struck us, it wasn't natural. Also, ever seen black lightnin' before?''
Rick shakes his head.
''I have never seen such unnatural lightning before! What could cause this?'' Twilight asks.
Rick says: ''I don't know, but it could be something we had invented way back on Earth.
Jay rises and notices a withered sign, saying: 'Welcome to Richmond!'
Under the text, a red scribble says: 'We have cookies!'
Reading the sign, Jay burst out in laughter. ''Ey guys, remember this prank?''
The siblings nod while laughing out, while the mares are looking at the sign.
''I don't get it.'' Applejack says.
''Teens with immature behaviour. Nothing more.''
After having chased down C and two of his Changeling followers, they finally see what nature had done to their old HQ.
While the aircrafts in storage are still relatively intact, the remainings of the base has had it's time.
The walls are painted with 'Canterlot falls!' and 'Nightmare Moon Rises!'
And mother nature let herself completely go on everything, seeing the roots coming from the walls.
''So this is what ye have been doin' lately, huh? Hidin' out in the only place where we wouldn't look.''
C, breathless from running, says from the other side of the base: ''None of your business! Everything you see, here and above ground, is all your fault!''
''How is it our fault? We only teleported to an alternate world!''
''This alternate world is our world in the distant future! The world looks like this, because you teleported away from it! The balance of that world was inside you and the others! And now there's only one place left where that remains, called the Everfree Forest!
''That ain't true, everywhere is the balance! The balance of Friendship!''
''That Friendship is the new Friendship! Remember your old friends from Earth? They are gone!''
Everyone is speechless
For the first time, Jay releases a tear. ''Our... Our friends? Then their fate was to fade away, and never to return to our world. This world is when our world dissappeared! And we lived here like there wasn't nothin' goin' on!''
''What do we do? Our old friends are gone because of our ignorance.'' Gary asks.
Suddenly Jay turns dark and says, through the tears, with a low voice: ''We alter time, once again.''
Everypony is shocked.
''We have to alter time! For...For our friends.'' Jay cries.
''But that means...'' Rick starts.
''We'll wipe out Equestria!'' Gary shouts.
Cyan, now crying as well, says: ''Don't do it dad! Think of us, and the others! We live here! This is our home!''
Everyone shouts too: ''Don't do it!''
''It has to be done. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice somethin' for somethin' else.''
As Jay steps forward, his daughter tries to stop him, with no success.
Jay reaches out towards a machine with the text 'Reset World' above it.
But then, in a flash, he sees the face of Derpy and all the other ponies fading away in front of him.
Jay pulls his hoof away, in digust of C: ''What are you doing? That can save your friends!''
Jay stands across him and says: ''They can be revived. Here I got my friends, and eventually my entire family will be here too. I am the Element of Creativity, Rick is the Element of Happiness and Gary is the Element of Fairness. We are-''
Jay, Rick and Gary start to glow in a magical aura.
''-the Elements of Family! And we are powered By Laughter...'' Pinkie starts glowing, ''...Generosity...'' Rarity as well, ''...Kindness...'' followed by Fluttershy, ''...Loyalty...'' Rainbow shines the brightest now, ''...Honesty...'' AJ glows in multiple colors, ''...And the most powerfull of all, Magic!'' lastly Twilight glows.
Now, everypony except C and his Changelings are glowing brightly.
The glow releases, sending C and his followers into a portal and out of Equestria.
Having taken some personal stuff from their old base, the group has returned to Ponyville.
When they arrived, they were greeted by Derpy and Princess Luna.
''Why is Princess Luna here?'' Gary asks.
''Well...'' Rick blushes.
Jay cheers and says: ''You've got a marefriend? And you didn't tell us?''
''You know I am sometimes a bit ashamed, right?''
''The more you are our old Rick!''
The three siblings raise their hooves and make a triple Brohoof. ''Legends Forever!''
Jay stares up to the starry sky when Derpy takes a seat next to Jay.
Having noticed her, he wraps a leg around her, while she lays her head onto his shoulder.
''What was it like, seeing your old home like it was?'' Derpy asks.
''It was weird. I couldn't believe we had ever lived there. Everything was torn up by plants. Fluttershy loved it though, all the plants.''
Jay kisses his marefriend.
''But I live here now, and everything that is held there to protect the world isn't necessary anymore, now that we got the Elements of Harmony.''
They both look up as the lean against each other...
