> The Man & The Siren > by Oldtakufanboy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Meet Jack/The Girl In The Alleyway > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well, my shift is over; I’ll see you on Monday, Blake." I said as I grabbed out my umbrella and walked towards the back exit of the market. "See ya, Jack." replied Blake as he waved to me for a good bye; I returned his farewell on my way out, ensuring to clock out in the process. Blake and I work together at the local market during the school week and he's been a friend of mine since middle school. He is a fan of anime; though while I’m not a big anime person myself, I do have a couple of anime collectibles at my apartment. My parents passed away when I was 10 but even though I didn't technically have parents after that, I was however raised by my parents' friends; they were nice enough people. For as much as they gave me all the love they wanted, I still couldn't forget about my real family. When I turned 18, I told my foster parents that I'd like to move out and live on my own. They were surprised at first, but then they agreed to this. They gave me the best of luck, got me in contact with an apartment manager, and promised to stay in touch with me no matter what if I did the same. It was nerve-wracking at first to move away from my parents, but I got used to it. I’ve since got a job that adequately pays bills even if I do live alone at my apartment, so I pay for food, electricity, wireless internet, basically the essentials to a young adult primarily by myself; save for a few loans from friends and family when my shifts won’t cover everything. As for my life at high school, I always see people talking about whatever, or just chit chatting with their girlfriends. I never really thought about dating anyone, really. I always thought that love was just a thing in fairy tales. At least that was what I thought till these three girls showed up at the school from out of nowhere. If I am correct, their names are Adagio, Aria, and Sonata. Sonata seems to have been the first girl I ever had a crush on; I mean I really wanted to go up to her and ask her out, but I didn't have the guts to do it. She and her sisters made such amazing music, even if, for some unknown reason, made me want to punch someone in the jaw. I was starting to think these girls were putting everyone in the school under some sort of spell, but I didn't believe in magic and all; so I let it go. As much as I wanted to talk to Sonata, it all changed during the battle of the bands. The Rainbooms defeated them with, -imagine my surprise to find out that it was magic- their own magic. When the crowd booed them off stage, they ran away and were never seen again. The girl that I really wanted to talk to, but didn't have the guts to walk up to, had disappeared from my life. I’d been in a bit of a depression since then, up until Blake offered to watch anime with me while I recovered. Surprisingly enough, watching a couple of Blake-recommended titles actually worked. My depression disappeared and I was happy again; even if my mood had improved, I still thought about Sonata and wondered where she could be, what she was up to. Wherever she is, I hope she's doing fine. As I unhooked and opened my umbrella, I stared up at the dark and rainy skies. It was just past seven in the evening and the rain has been coming down since three but honestly, I’m glad that we’re getting rain. We’ve seriously needed the hydration ever since we had that drought. “Right then; walk home in the rain, what could possibly go wrong?” I mumbled to myself as I lifted my umbrella over my head before I began my journey home to my residence. I was still a few blocks from the apartment building as I listened to 'Singing in the Rain' on my iPhone 6 without any headphones -there's no one else out and about to hear me sing, anyway. I liked old music. When my parents were still alive, they introduced me to classic rock and other music from their younger years. I'm not a big fan of today's music, but every once in a while, though not very often, there's a good one. As I passed down an alleyway, I could just faintly hear the distinct sound of sniffling. I backtracked towards the alleyway and paused my music, making the sniffling more audible than before. The first thing I noticed was that the sniffling sounded feminine. Is it a homeless person or a woman that had been molested? Should I call the authorities? My curiosity began to overwhelm me as I walked into the dark alleyway, searching for the origins. Given that it was night and the only light that was on was the nearest streetlight, I couldn't see much. "Hello?" I called out, as I got deeper into the potentially foreboding alleyway. No reply save for the sniffling that continued. I slowly crept into the narrow passage as I began to find myself thinking, is this is some sort of trick? And that the woman might attack me, much like the witch from Left 4 Dead. Wrapping my arm around my umbrella to keep it from escaping me, I reached into my pocket and turned my iPhone screen on and activated the flashlight. Swinging the beam back and forth, I began to search the area in depth until the bright light revealed a female body in tattered clothes covering her face from the sudden light. She let out a yelp from the sight of it, which in turn made me jump and backpedal a couple of steps. Examining the girl more intently while we caught our emotions; I noticed she had blue skin, wore a stained yet tattered purple sweatshirt and long pants with holes on the knees. Raising my gaze upwards, I couldn't get the details on her hair or face but I was beginning to wonder if this girl was my Sonata. I simply had to ask. "Uhm, excuse me? Are you Sonata Dusk?" I asked as I moved the light away from her face. The girl slowly removed her hands from her face to reveal her features, soaked in either rain or tears; I couldn’t be sure given the circumstances. She had purple teary eyes as she looked towards me with a cocked eyebrow. "Yes…how do you know my name?" she inquired, rubbing the water out of her eyes. My God…it really is Sonata! I must admit, I was close to doing a little happy dance. "I knew you from Canterlot High." I replied, calming myself down again. She looked towards the ground with gloom on her face. A tear rolled down her cheek and fell to the soaked concrete beneath us. "Oh…then you must hate me; everyone else does." she said as she covered her face once more and began to sob anew. I walked up to her and held the umbrella over the distraught girl. She paused her sobbing and looked up towards me curiously. "No…I don't hate you. I just happened to be heading home to my apartment, up until I heard your crying. Sonata, you must be soaked to the bone out here; let me help you." I offered with a hand outstretched as I looked into Sonata's eyes and saw a frightened girl, lost and alone. Speaking of alone, where are the other two? Isn’t Sonata usually with her sisters, Adagio and Aria? They couldn't have forgotten about Sonata; that's just cruel. As much as I wanted to ask her about that, I pushed that aside and returned to helping Sonata. "I don't trust you…you're just gonna beat me up for what my sisters and I did, trying to taking over the world." she said as she looked dejectedly away from me, her arms protectively or defiantly over her chest. "I can see how she might think that, but let’s just focus on her situation right now." I thought. "Sonata, I would never do that. Please, I am asking you to come along with me; I can provide you food and shelter. Trust me." I explained as I turned off the light on my iPhone before returning it to my pocket to hold out my hand once again. Even though I couldn't see her face anymore, I guess she was considering my offer to come with me or not. After a minute had passed, her hand appeared and carefully took ahold of my own. "Good choice; up you get." I said as I helped her up from where she lied. "Come on, let's get you safe. I’ll get you some warm blankets and a nice bowl of soup." I announced gently as she and I left the alleyway hand-in-hand under the cover of my umbrella. As we walked down towards the apartment building, I looked back at Sonata and noticed she was looking quite calm, but nervous. I smiled at her as she looked up at me. "Don't worry; I won't do anything bad to you. You can trust me." I gave her another warm smile. She gave me a small smile in return before she looked away from me. I looked ahead as we were getting closer to our destination. Upon reaching our destination, I closed up my umbrella once we got inside and together Sonata and I walked up the stairs towards the third floor. We took a left and saw the number 308 on my door. "Here we are." I announced calmly as I reached into my right pocket and retrieved my keys. I unlocked the door and opened it for Sonata to enter first. She slowly shuffled in as I followed in after her and turned on the light switch, revealing my humble abode. She looked around and was beginning to look more relaxed than before; I guess she was starting to get used to being helped. "Go ahead, Sonata. Make yourself comfortable." I said as I locked the door and walked up to her to put my hand on her left shoulder. Sonata turned and gave me a teary smile and hugged me tightly as she wrapped her arms around me. "Thank you." she cried as she placed her head on my chest. I didn't know what to do in reply, but I felt like hugging her back would be the best course of action. "Your welcome," I replied as I hugged her tightly. We remained in the position for about ten seconds, till I broke the hug now having soaked my own clothing. "So…you hungry?" I asked as she stared up at me, wiping away her tears. Our answer came from Sonata’s stomach as it let out a rather rumbling groan, making the girl look away from me, blushing. "Yes. Can I have that soup that you offered before?" she asked as she gave me the puppy-dog eyes. "Damn, she's so cute." I thought as my face began to flush red in response. "Absolutely.” I recovered, “Take your shoes off here and wait in the living room while I go get it ready." I instructed as I pointed towards the aforementioned living room. She gave me a smile as she took off her soggy shoes and walked over to the couch where I coincidently had left a blanket. She grabbed ahold of my TV remote and pressed the on button once she was adequately wrapped up. She had been flipping around through the channels and for some reason stopped on the news channel. Why out of all of the channels would she choose that one? I always thought girls would watch Teen Moms on MTV or the channel that I like to call, 'Men are terrible and will hurt you because this is Lifetime'. I’m talking about the Lifetime channel here. I continue to stare at her with curiosity; I have so many questions to ask about why she was in the alleyway alone, where are her sisters, and what has she been doing the past three weeks since the battle of the bands? Turning back to my own work I figured I'll ask her after she finishes up eating; she must be starving if she's been out there in the wet and cold weather freezing to death. I never imagined her coming to my place like this; I always imagined it after we go to prom or something. "Well, whatever. I promised her soup, so I shall provide her with soup." I thought as I looked around the pantry for any remaining cans of instant soup. > "Welcome home, Sonata" > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Sonata, soup's ready whenever you're ready." I announced as I placed the bowl of soup on the table. Sonata grabbed ahold of the remote and shut off the TV before she stood up the blanket falling off of her body as headed towards the table. I pulled out the chair for her and received a kind smile in return as she sat down before the steaming bowl of soup. She stared into it as a bit of drool came out of the corner of her mouth and I couldn't help but chuckle over the sight of the hunger on her face. Sonata looked up at me with a cocked eyebrow. "What's so funny?" she asked. "You look so funny when you’re hungry; there's a little of drool at the corner of your mouth." I explained, tentatively pointing to the corner of her mouth. Sonata blushed and hurriedly wiped the saliva from the corner of her mouth in response. "You didn't see anything." declared Sonata as she glared at me with a flushed face. "See what? Regardless, please enjoy the soup; you need to eat something." I almost ordered of her as I sat down near to her and rested my head on my right hand. Sonata took hold of the spoon and slowly dipped into the soup before sipping it once she’d blew on it to cool it off. Her eyes lit up from the flavor and she began to suck it down as though it would be her last meal. Watching her eat like that was enough proof to me that she hasn't had a decent meal in quite some time. Once she finished gulping down the last bit of soup, she placed her spoon into the empty bowl and gave out a sigh of satisfaction. "Thank you for the soup; it was delicious." she announced before she gave out a loud belch and patted her stomach. "I guess you were pretty hungry. Would you like more?" I asked. "Yes please," replied Sonata as she gave me a smile that made me blush. I gave a courteous nod before standing with her empty bowl in hand and returned to the kitchen counter, the small pot empty. As I went through the pantry, I found my mind wandering back to why Sonata was alone in an alleyway and why her sisters had left her. I had to get her to answer my questions. "Um…Sonata?" I asked, my head remaining in the pantry. "Yes?" she replied. "I was wondering…why were you in the alleyway crying? Where are your sisters? Did they forget about you?" I turned back to the girl as Sonata looked towards the ground. "Adagio…Aria…they left me." My eyes lit up with surprise. "What? Why?" I said as I closed the pantry door and walked up to the chair that I previously sat on. "They…hate me…they say that I am an irritating little sister…we had an argument and they left me." the distraught girl explained as tears began to form in her eyes. "How mean. Some sisters they are." I grumbled bitterly. "They…they left me out in the world...alone; I don't know how to live on my own in this world! Why would my sisters do that to me?" demanded Sonata as she covered her face with her hands and began to sob. "Poor thing. How horrible that Adagio and Aria would do such a thing to their own flesh and blood." I thought. I got up from my seat and placed my hand on her furthest shoulder, making her look back up at me through blurry eyes. "You poor girl. Don't you worry; as long as you're in my care, I will never leave you alone. Never." I announced as I leaned down and gave Sonata a hug. "You're such a kind person…thank you." said Sonata as she sniffled and wrapped her arms tightly around me in reply. "You are very welcome." I said as I hugged her tightly. As I inhaled through my nostrils, I noticed a horrid stink; as if someone had just come out of the sewers. I'm taking a gander that it's Sonata. "Ok, that's enough hugging for now, you need a shower. You smell bad." I said blatantly as Sonata looked at me with surprise. She took a whiff of her jacket and almost gagged from the smell. I noticed her face going a bit green for a second there. "Ugghhh…you're right. Do you mind if I use you’re shower?" Sonata requested as she got up from her seat, wiping away the tears from her face. "Not at all, follow me." I replied as Sonata and I walked towards the hall where I could point to the left where the bathroom door was. "Here you go, this is the bathroom. I'll go get you some clean clothing to wear in the meantime. I hope you don’t mind that they’re my clothes, we’ll go and acquire some clothing for you tomorrow." I said as I opened the bathroom door for Sonata. "Ok. I guess I can deal with that for a while. Oh, I also need new underwear, if you don’t mind." said Sonata as she took off her jacket. "Please, you can keep that to yourself. It makes me uncomfortable." I said as I looked away with a flushed face. I looked back at Sonata who was giving me a funny-looking grin. "You are gonna have to come with me around the lingerie area as well, you know; you’ve got the munnies. I don't." Sonata teased as she nudged me on the shoulder. "Just get in the shower and get yourself cleaned." I requested as I pushed her into the bathroom and shut the door behind her as my face became a lovely shade of crimson. I stood there against the bathroom door, as my face began to sweat with nervousness. "Calm down. Calm down. I hope I don't get any women staring at me, wondering why I'm in some lingerie store. They might say things like, 'that guy's a creep' or 'what a perv. Looking through women's clothing? Disgusting.' I don't want to take that risk. Perhaps also, we can also go to Hot Topic to see if there's any jackets she likes over there. Every once in a while I find something interesting in there." I thought as I walked into my room across from the bathroom. All around my room were posters, a couple of anime collectibles, 80's themed stuff, and a stack of DVDs. I walked over to the closet and opened it to see what would be fitting for Sonata. I flipped through the shirts and could see a lot of rock band shirts like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and other bands that my original parents let me listened to. I then found a Led Zeppelin shirt that seemed fitting for Sonata to wear. "This should be fine. What do I have for bottoms that’s clean she can wear?” I wondered out loud as I turned to my right to face my dresser. I sat waiting on my bed for another three minutes or so playing on my phone for Sonata to finish up, wearing my own PJs that I’d changed into once I’d put together a clean outfit for the girl across the hall. I then noticed that the sound of rushing water from the bathroom has stopped, leading me to surmise that Sonata had finished her shower. "Looks like she's done." I thought as I hear the bathroom door creaking open a ways. "Um...mister...uh..." began Sonata, not knowing my name. "It's Jack. Jack Backlash." I said to her. "Well, Jack...would you mind if I wear your shower robe till you pick out PJs for me to wear for the night?" asked Sonata. "Sure. Why not, even though I already have your PJs picked out." "And one more thing, is there a toothbrush I can use?" she inquired, sticking her head out the door. I got up from my bed and headed towards the bathroom as Sonata sucked her head back into the backroom again. Before I entered the bathroom or even open the door all the way, I gave it a couple of knocks to be safe in case if she was still naked. "Come in." said Sonata in a sing-song voice. I opened the door and saw Sonata standing in the middle of the bathroom wearing my black shower robe smiling at me. I noticed that the room was a bit steamy. I totally forgot to tell her if she was going to take a hot shower to put on the air conditioning. I stood there looking away from Sonata with a blush across my face. "What's wrong, Jack? Can't look at me wearing a robe? You naughty boy. Do you want a little peek?" said Sonata as she began to tease me by pulling up a little of the lower part of the shower robe. "Don't do that, please." I said as I turned around with sweat coming down my face. "Hehehehe. Just kidding, Jackie. Anyway, could you show me a toothbrush I can use?" asked Sonata in a giggly tone. I turned towards the cabinets on my right and looked inside. I did have a toothbrush that I was gonna use a few weeks later, what with the bristles on my toothbrush starting to look gangly; but because of Sonata being here, I might as well give it to her. "Here you go." I said as I handed over the toothbrush to her, avoiding eye contact. "Thank you." said Sonata as she walked over to the sink beginning to brush her teeth. "I’ll go fetch the clothes I’m lending you for the night. I'll lend you pants and another shirt for tomorrow." I said as I walked over to my room to collect the items then back into the bathroom to hand them over to her. "Thank you yet again." she said after rinsing her mouth. "I'll leave you in here to change." I said as I handed over the clothes and walked out of the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. I turned on the TV and began going through my recording to watch the latest episode of Parasyte; I have to thank Blake for introducing me to this anime. It really reminds me of my most favorite alien flick, John Carpenter’s The Thing. Right as I pressed play, I heard Sonata open the bathroom door and before closing it again behind her. She walked into the living room wearing the PJs I gave her. "These are really quite comfy." she announced as she twirled around twice in a happily manner, her loose hair flinging stray water about in the process. "Hehe. Glad you like them, at least you’re comfortable." I chuckled. "Would...you mind if I sit next to you?" asked Sonata as she rubbed the back of her head. "Sure," I said as I patted the empty spot on the couch. Sonata sat down beside me a few inches away with a flushed face. She then looked towards the TV and was a bit surprised to what I was watching. "Ewwwww. What is this show?" asked Sonata as she looked over to me with a disgusted face. "It's called Parasyte. My friend Blake recommended me this show. I really like it." "Who's the hand? It looks...kinda cute." said Sonata as she formed a little smile on her face. "It's Migi. Migi is an alien that took over Shinichi's right arm." I explained. "Gross! Do you have the first episode on here?" "You want to watch it from the beginning? For real?" I asked with surprise. "For realsies." she replied as she gave me a nod. "Ok," I said as I paused the episode and switched to the first episode. As I pressed play, I turned my head towards Sonata who’d grabbed hold of a couch pillow and hugged it tightly. "I hope this doesn't give her nightmares." I thought with a gulp as the episode started playing. As the episode ended, I turned my head towards Sonata, who sat next to me with shock in her face. Her face reminded me of the OMG cat. I couldn't help, but giggle. "What's so funny?" asked Sonata. "Your face a second ago. You reminded me of the OMG cat on Youtube." I said as I stopped my giggling. "I was...surprised to how good this show is. Can we watch another?" she asked as she gave me the puppy-dog look. "As you wish." I said as I changed it to the next episode. As the commercials came on after the first half of the episode, I fast forward through them till I get to the second half. "Um...Jack. Could you pause the show for a sec? I wanted to ask you about something." said Sonata as I paused to the beginning of the second half of the second episode. "What's up?" I asked as I turned my head towards her. "How old are you?" she asked. "I'm eighteen. Why ask?" I said giving her a cocked eyebrow. "Oh, well...I noticed that your folks aren't here. Do you live alone?" "You are correct. I moved into this apartment seven months ago. My foster parents aren't that far away. I do meet them every once in a while." "Oh...so you were adopted?" "Indeed. They took me in after my real parents passed away. I was ten years old." I said looking away from her. "My gosh...so young." said Sonata as she covered her mouth out of surprise. "I still miss them very much...if they were still alive today, I’m sure they’d be very proud of me." I explained as I fought to hold back a stray tear. I lost the fight. I covered my face and silently wept next to her. How embarrassing. I then felt Sonata resting her head on my shoulder as she pats my back. I turned over to her and began to notice that her arms are wrapping around me in a warm embrace. "It's ok to cry. You lost your family; my family left me without saying goodbye. I feel your pain." said Sonata as she hugged me tighter. I couldn't help, but hug her back as I wrapped my arms around her. She continued hugging me, while softly patting my back. "Thank you, Sonata." I said as I broke the hug and wiped the remaining tears off my face. "Your welcome, Jackie." said Sonata while giving me a soft smile. I smiled back, then turned towards the clock above the TV. It was 10:30 PM. Man, does time fly by so quickly. "Boy oh boy, is it late." I said as I gave out a stretch of my arms. Sonata turned her head towards the clock and then back at me. "You're right. I'm getting sleepy." said Sonata as she yawned. "Since you are here I'll let you sleep on my bed, It's far better than sleeping on the couch." "Are you sure you want me to take your bed?" "I don't mind. Like I said earlier, 'make yourself comfortable'." "Well, ok." said Sonata as she stood up from the couch. "You know where my room is, right?" "I saw it. I know where it is." "Well, goodnight Sonata." I said as I stood up and gave her a hug. "Goodnight, Jackie." said Sonata as she hugged me back. We broke hugs and went our separate ways for the night. As Sonata closed the door, I walked into the hallway and shut off the light. I came back into the living room and entered into the kitchen to turn off the lights before I returned to the living room and turned off the lamp; my entire apartment went dark save for a sliver of light coming from the sliding doors to the outside patio. I usually like to go out there to read or to look around Canterlot. I shoulder rolled onto the couch and as I tried to fall asleep, I let myself listen to the pitter-patter of the rain coming down outside. "Welcome home, Sonata." I mumbled to myself quietly as I shut my eyes and gradually fell to sleep. > The Mall > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I woke up from the sun's rays beaming down onto my sleepy face. "Ughh…morning already?" I said as I gave out a stretch. I got up from the couch and headed over to the kitchen where I start making my breakfast. As I sat back onto the couch with my cereal bowl in hand, I grabbed the remote with my other hand and turned on the TV. "Good morning, folks, our top story is about a tragic accident involving a mother who was killed from sliding on the slippery road. It is said from witnesses that-" I switched it over to HBO, just because I can't stand those tragic stories. On HBO, they were playing Labyrinth; a great movie that came out from the 80s. "Who doesn't love this film." I said to myself as the opening credits finished while I began eating my cereal As fifteen minutes passed, I then heard my bedroom door creaking. Sonata must be awake. As Sonata came into the living room, she gave out a big yawn while stretching out her arms. "Good mornin', Jackie." she said groggily. "Good morning. Did you sleep well?" I asked. "I slept like a rock. Your bed was really comfy." she said as she rubbed her eyes. "Good to know." I said while giving her a smile. Sonata then walked over to me and sat down on my right watching the movie. She seemed confused, but I could tell that she liked the film judging by the way she never took her eyes off the screen. She then turned her head towards me with astonishment in her eyes. "What is this film? It looks really good," she said in a not-so groggily voice, but with the voice of astonishment. "It's called Labyrinth. It's about a girl that goes into this fantasy world to rescue her younger brother from the goblin king, Jared. If she doesn't make it in time, her little brother will turn into a goblin." I explained to her as her eyes lit up with amusement. "Ohhhhhh, this sounds like a good film," she said as she turned her head back towards the TV. "I never knew she would be into this film. I always thought girls would like watching newer stuff. Man, I really don't understand women." I thought to myself as I continued watching the film with her. The movie has ended and Sonata clapped her hands as if she was a little toddler that saw magic for the first time. "I can tell that you really liked it." I said to her as she finished her clapping. "I totally did. That was a good film," she said with a huge smile on her face. "Also, would you later tonight wanna wa-" I was cutoff when I heard the sound of grumbling coming from Sonata's stomach. "Hehe. I'm getting hungry," she said as she patted her stomach. "Would you like to get me you some breakfast?" I asked. "Sure, Jackie." "You stay here and I'll be right back with a bowl of cereal." I said to her as I got up from the couch with my empty breakfast bowl and headed into the kitchen to prepare Sonata's breakfast. I came back to the living room with a new bowl of rice crispies and handed it over to Sonata, along with a spoon. "Thank you, Jackie." she said as she gave me a cute smile. "Y-your welcome," I said as I sat down with a blush upon my face. Sonata slowly ate her cereal, while I flipped through the channels to find another movie to watch, only to find nothing good was on. "Might as well get ready." I thought as I stood up from the couch. "Where are you going?" asked Sonata as she gulped down her last bite. "I'm gonna take a shower. After my shower, I will take some clothes out for you to wear for the time being today and then it will be you who gets in the shower." I explained. "No prob. I'll stay in the living room while you get yourself cleaned." she replied as she got up from the couch and placed her bowl into the sink. "Okie dokie." I said as I went to my room to grab some clothes. As I got my clothes, I headed into the shower and got started cleaning myself up. As I got out, I headed back into my room to grab ahold of some clothes Sonata could wear for the day. I pulled out for her a long-sleeved ACDC shirt, black jeans, socks and an Aqua Teen Hunger Force jacket (It's winter and it's freakin' cold out there). After picking out her clothes, I walked back into the living room and handed over Sonata the clothing. "Here are the clothes you'll be wearing for the time being." I said as I sat down right beside her. "Thank you. You're so sweet." she said while giving me a smile that would make me blush. "Your w-welcome." I said as I looked away from her. "Ok, I'll be back in a bit." she said as she hopped over to the bathroom. "I think today will be fun…I hope." I thought to myself as I sat down on the couch with a little of nervousness,"I hope I'm not called a 'perv' when I go into the lingerie store with Sonata." Ten minutes have passed and Sonata came out into the living room holding up the pants with both of her hands. "Um, Jackie. Do you have a belt?" she asked. "I do," I said as I got up from the couch and walked over to my bedroom. As I grabbed a belt, I then grabbed ahold of my wallet, which was inside one of my drawers, including my iPhone and keys. I came back into the living room as I handed over the belt to Sonata, who snatched it from my hands and quickly tightened the belt around her waist. "Much better," said Sonata as she gave herself a twirl. "Good. Now let's head out to the mall." I said as I grabbed ahold of my now dried ACDC Jacket and walked over to the door to unlock it. "Ladies first," I said as I held the door open for her. "How gentlemanly of you." said as she passed by me standing in the middle of hall waiting for me. "Alrighty, the lights are off and now to lock the door." I said as I locked the door shut. "It's very nice of you to do this for me. You're a sweet guy." said Sonata from behind. "Thanks Sonata. I'll always be nice to you." I said as I ruffled her hair. Sonata gave me a smile as I retracted my hand. "All right. Let's go." I said as we both walked towards the elevator. As we made it to the parking garage, I pressed the button on my keys to figure out where my car was. It' been a while since I used my car. The last time I used it was two months ago when there was a sale going on at Rasputins. "There it is," I said as I pointed to the car with the taillights glow. As Sonata and I sat in, I started the engine and plugged my iPhone into the car to listen to my tunes. "Here Sonata, you can be my DJ and play some music." I said as I handed over my iPhone to her. "Really? Are you sure?" she asked. "Of course. In fact, you are my very first DJ. When my parents were still alive, they always asked me to play a song from the iPod. I always picked their favorites. Now, you, Sonata, will be my very first DJ." I said as Sonata's face began to flush. "It's…it's an honor." said Sonata as she turned on my iPhone and went to my music and flipped through it," Oh, this one!" she said as she played the song. My eyes lit up with surprise. "Sonata, you have a really good taste in music." I said as I began to drive out of the parking garage and heading over towards the mall. "We're here," I announced as I parked the car. Sonata and I unbuckled our seat belts and got out of the car, with my key in in my hand; I pressed the button on my keys and locked the car. "Ok, Sonata, let's go and get you some clothes." I said as I looked over to Sonata who was looking away from me while twirling her hair with her index finger. "Um…Jackie. Could I ask you something?" she asked. "Sure," I replied. Sonata's face went a little red as she looked up at me; I wonder what's up. "Could we…um…hold hands…if that's good with you." she said as her face got as red as a cherry. I walked up to her and slowly reached out for her left hand. The moment I softly grabbed ahold of her hand, she made a tiny little yelp. "You ok?" I asked. "N-no. I'm fine. Let's get going." she said as she dragged me towards the front doors of the mall. As we got in, Sonata let go of my hand and looked around the mall with awe. It was as if she's never been in a mall before. "Is this your first time at the mall?" I asked as Sonata, who was looking in through the window of a store," Sonata?" I asked again getting her attention. "Yes. I've never been here. Not even when I was with my sisters. This place is huge." said Sonata as she stretched out her arms, giving everyone their attention towards us. "Um, Sonata. Could you please calm down? People are staring." I whispered quietly as I walked over to her. "Sorry," she whispered back with a little blush. I turned back towards everyone, who went back to his or her business around the mall. "Come on, Sonata. Let's go the…" I gulped over what I was about to say," lingerie store." "Whazz a matta? Embarrassed to go into a lingerie store with me? Too bad. So sad. You have to-" I stopped her mid-sentence as I immediately grabbed ahold of her hand and marched over to wherever the hell the lingerie store is. "Come on, let's just get this part of my day over with." I said as I looked around the mall for a lingerie store. 5 minutes later... "Here it is," I said as I looked at the logo of the store as my body trembled,"God, I feel like a pervert if I enter this place." I thought to myself. "Victoria's Secret, huh? Why of all places here? It looks…risqué. Did you bring me here so that I can wear something sexy for you?" she teased me as she nudged me on the shoulder. "Let's just get in," I said with a blush on my face as I dragged Sonata into the store with me. As we entered, I notice that no women were giving me any looks at all…huh. I reached over to my left and grabbed ahold of a bag. "Well come on, Jackie. Let's browse around," said Sonata as she dragged me forward. For ten minutes we've been looking around the store and I've been feeling embarrassed the whole time. Five minutes ago, Sonata and I were around the panty area and I noticed two women looking at us. I then notice them whispered to one another, which I could guess they are saying something like, "Why's that guy here?" or "Ew, what a creep." I gave out a sigh. "I wanna get the hell out of this store," I thought as I waited near the dressing room area. "Done! I've tried them on. They fit perfectly. The bras too." said Sonata as she got out of the dressing room. "Good for you. Let's get out of here," I said as I grabbed ahold of both the bag with her undergarments and her hand. As we got to the line, I was getting quite a bit of stares from the women in front of Sonata and I. "What's wrong?" asked Sonata. "It seems that I'm becoming the eye candy of this place." I said as I kept my eyes in front of me without looking Sonata in the eye. "I guess you can't handle the pressure being here, huh?" said Sonata as se nudged me on my right shoulder. "Absolutely," I said quietly to myself. As we made it the cashier, she was giving us a rather confused look as she checked through the bag. "That'll be $40.91," said the cashier. I took out my wallet and handed her the money, including the change. "I'm sorry, sir, but may I ask what are you doing here? I've been hearing nothing, but rumors of a man and his girlfriend going around the store for about fifteen minutes." said the cashier as she cashed in the money and handed over the bag. "Ok, let me make myself perfectly clear to you and every woman in this store," I said as I turned around towards all of the women in line who were wondering from the start why I'm here," I'm not a pervert. I'm just here with my friend to get her some undergarments just because she's homeless and her sisters left her alone on the streets. I'm a nice guy willing to provide her food, shelter, and everything else for her to live." The women, the cashier and Sonata looked at me with surprise; Sonata came up to me and hugged my right arm and rested her hand on my shoulder with a tear coming down her left eye. I couldn't help, but pat her head. I turned back towards the cashier who looked as if she was about to cry. "Now you know, ciao." I said as me and Sonata walked out of the store. Sonata's arm has been wrapped around my right arm ever since we got out of Victoria's Secret. "Ok, now that we're done with that store, how about we go to Hot Topic. There are clothes over there that I know you'll love to see. It's been a while since the last time I went there. I wonder if there's anything new." I said as she and I walked down the escalator to our destination. As I looked over to Sonata, she had a bit of a flushed face, which was starting to remind me of that manga image my friend Blake showed me two weeks ago. "I wonder why she's blushing like that? I bet it must be because of what I said back over at Victoria's Secret. Well whatever, at least we're at our destination." I thought to myself as Sonata and I got off of the escalator. 2 minutes later... "Here we are," I announced as Sonata and I stood in front of Hot Topic. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go in," said Sonata as she gripped onto my hand and dragged me into the store. Inside the store, we looked around and saw quite some new things in stock; they had new buttons, new anime stuff, etc. "Welcome," said the cashier a feet away from us. "Let's go look at the pants," I said as Sonata and I headed over to the girl section of the store. "Oh! How about this?" said Sonata as she reached over to a pair of jeans that were dark blue. "Sure, remember that this shopping is all about you" I reminded her as I grabbed ahold of the pair of pants she wanted. "Oh ok, then I would also like this skirt as well," she said as she reached over to the anime stuff an found a Sailor Moon skirt. "Now, we need to get you some socks, shirts, and a jacket." I said as she and I walked down towards the socks. "Is their anything here that catches your interest?" I asked, as Sonata observed the socks, wondering which pair of socks would be good. "How about these?" she said as she took out a pair of Jack Skellington socks. "As you wish," I said as she hugged the socks with glee. "Now the shirts," I said as she and I walked over to the shirts. "See anything you like?" I asked. Sonata turned her head towards me and shook her head. "Nope. These shirts look too girly. How about those over there?" she said as she pointed over towards the rock band shirts, which were hanging at the area for men clothing. "You wanna wear a guy shirt? You sure about that?" "Hey, you said that this shopping is all about me right?" she said giving me a cute pouty look. "You're right, I did say that. Come on, let's see what they got." I said as we together walked over to the shirts. As we got there, there were so many good band shirts that I wondered which shirt or shirts caught her attention. "Oh, I like this one. It's one of my favorite bands that I listened to when I was back with my sisters," said Sonata as she grabbed ahold of a Gorillaz T-shirt with Noodle on the cover with Japanese words that meant 'DARE'. "I never knew she was into Gorillaz. I grew up with that band." I thought to myself. "Good choice, Sonata. I like your taste in music. I should let you know that I grew up listening to the Gorillaz. My favorite song by them is Feel Good Inc." Sonata's face lit up and she gave out an adorable squee. "That's also my favorite song by them." she said. Just then, speaking of Feel Good inc, the song began to play around the store. "OMG, the song is playing," said Sonata, as she got all giddy. I couldn't help, but let out a chuckle. "What a coincidence," I said to her. "I know," she said as she calmed herself down. "Anyway, back to clothes shopping. Find another shirt." I said. "Okie Dokie," she said as she looked around at the shirt designs. "This one looks cool. It's from that band called Led Zeppelin," said Sonata as she reached down to find the design of the shirt she saw. As she found it, she held it in front of me and it turned out to be the image from The Hermit. "Cool choice, Sonata. Now let's find a long sleeved shirt." "Sure," she said as she skipped over towards the anime section. I cocked an eyebrow. "Why would you want to go be around this area?" I asked. "I noticed this Orange long-sleeved shirt the moment we walked in and I was curious to know what it was." said Sonata as she grabbed the shirt and showed it to me, revealing that it was a Dragon Ball Z themed long-sleeved shirt. "You sure you want that? That seems like something a guy would wear." I said. "Of course I do. I remember seeing the Battle of The Gods movie down at the theater last year way before me and my sisters split up and came to your school." "Oh man, if Blake heard that, he'd instantly wanna be friends with her." I thought to myself. "Now all I need is to find a hoodie or a jacket." said Sonata as she walked over towards the hoodies and jackets. She scrolled through them till she stopped and held up a Metallica themed hoodie. "I'd like this one," she said as she turned over towards me, pointing at the hoodie. "Sold," I said as she hung the hoodie around her arm, along with the socks, pants, skirt and shirts. "Let us go to the cashier then." I said as I grabbed ahold of Sonata's free hand, along with my free hand. "Next please," said the Goth-looking cashier as Sonata placed the clothing on top of the counter. "Here you go," said Sonata after placing everything on the counter. "Find everything good?" asked the cashier. "We sure did," replied Sonata. "Okie dokie, that'll be $230.41" said the cashier. "Here you go," I said as I handed the cashier my debit card. "Will that be credit or debit?" "Debit, please." The cashier scanned my card and handed it back to me. "Here you go. Would you like a bag with that?" asked the cashier as she handed me the receipt. "Sure," I replied as the cashier placed the clothes inside the bag and handed it to me," Thank you." "Your welcome. Have a good day." "You too," said Sonata as she and I headed out the door. As we walked back towards the entrance, I heard a loud growl, which I could take a guess it's Sonata's stomach. "You hungry?" I asked as she and I stopped in our tracks. "Yep. We haven't even had lunch yet. What time is it?" asked Sonata. "Here, take this bag." I said as I handed over the Victoria's Secret bag. Sonata took the bag as I used my right hand to reach down into my right pocket for my iPhone. As I turned it on, it says 1:21 PM. "It's 1:21. Yeah, let's find a place to eat." I said as I put my iPhone back into my pocket. "How about there," said Sonata as she pointed over towards Taco Bell with little of drool coming down the corner of her mouth. "Sure, let's go get something to eat. I'm getting a bit hungry too." I said as she and I headed over towards Taco Bell. Inside Taco Bell, there weren't that many people. Odd, usually when I pass by, it's crowded. "What would you like?" I asked. "I'll have a…shredded chicken soft taco and a small coke, please." said Sonata as she pointed towards the menu. "All right. I'll go order and pay while you find us a place for us to sit. Here, take this as well." I said as I handed over the Hot Topic bag over to her. "Okie dokie, I'll be waiting for you." she said as she grabbed ahold of the bag with her other free arm and skipped over towards an empty two seat table. "Hello, welcome to Taco Bell, may I take your oder?" asked the friendly cashier with a smile upon her face. "Yes, please. My friend would like a shredded chicken soft taco and I'll have a cheesy potato burrito, along with two small drinks, please." "Ok, that'll be $7.56." said the cashier as I reached into my wallet and handed her eight dollars. "Here you go, forty-four cents is your change. We'll call you two up when it's ready." said the cashier as she handed me over the change and two small cups after I put away my wallet and put the change in my pocket. "Thank you," I replied as I grabbed ahold of the two small cups and walked over to the soda machine and poured cocoa cola in both cups. I placed a top and a straw in both the cups and walked over towards Sonata who was sitting down with a smile upon her face with the two bags on her lap. "Here you go. A coke as requested." I said as I handed over the cup to her. "Thank you very much," said Sonata as she grabbed ahold of the drink and took a sip of it. I sat down across from her and took a sip of mine. I couldn't help, but stare at her as she took another sip of her drink. "I can't believe this is happening. I never knew that I would ever be hanging out with Sonata like this. It seems as if we were on a date of sorts." I thought to myself as I felt my cheeks get a tad bit warm. Sonata placed her drink down and cocked an eyebrow at me. "What's wrong? Your cheeks are flushing?" asked Sonata. "It's nothing. I would like to say that I'm having a good day hanging out with you today, even though we haven't done anything fun." I replied. "Same here. It's fun hanging out with you too." said Sonata as she rested her head on her knuckles while taking another sip of her drink. "So, what would you like to do tomorrow? I don't have school till Monday thru Friday and I won't arrive home till 8 PM." I asked Sonata. Sonata raised her head and placed her index finger on her mouth, thinking about what we should do tomorrow. "How about a movie?" she asked. "Sure," I replied. Just then, we heard the speakers of the establishment call our number. "I'll be right back with the food." I said as I got up and headed over towards the counter. "Here you go, sir." said a worker as he handed over the tray with our food. "Thank you," I replied as I grabbed ahold of the tray and walked over towards Sonata. "Here we go. Dig in." I said as I handed over Sonata's shredded chicken soft taco. "Thank you," she said as she unwrapped her taco and took a bite out of it, which made her purr. "I guess you really like it." I said after taking a bite of my burrito. "I really do. Jackie, you are the best." she said with a face that reminds me of that screen cap that Blake showed me from an anime called Sekirei. "So cute," I thought to myself as I gave Sonata a smile," Anything for you, Sonata." I said, which made Sonata blush a little. "Aw, you're making me blush." said Sonata after taking a bite of her taco," Instead of being all 'lovey-dovey', how about we finish our lunch." "Sure," I said after taking a sip of my drink. "That was delicious," said Sonata as she threw away her wrapper. "Very," I said as I did the same as the both of us left the joint with both bags of clothing in my hands. 5 minutes later... "Um…Jackie?" said Sonata as she walked by my side with a little blush appearing on her face. "Yes?" I asked. "Can we do something like this again?" I couldn't help, but smile at her. "Sure. I wouldn't mind coming back here with you." I replied. Sonata gave me a smile as she hugged my right arm. "For realsies?" she asked. "For realsies," I replied. She hugged my right arm tighter as we made our way through the entrance doors. "I have to admit that today was a good day, even though all we did is look around for clothes." I thought to myself. I then began to feel my heart beating quicker than ever…. Strange. "Why is my heart beating so qui-" I was cutoff from my thought as Sonata pointed towards the car, which was twenty feet ahead. "There's where we parked. Good thing I remembered because of the Metallica sticker placed on the cars back window." she said as she retracted her arm. "Damn, she's cute," I thought as we stopped at the back of the car. "Ok, could you hold onto the bags, please." I said as I handed over the two bags. "Sure," she said as she grabbed ahold of the bags. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my keys. I pressed down onto one of the buttons and the back door automatically flipped open. "Ok, you can put them in," I said as Sonata placed both the bags into the car. I pressed onto the same button on my keys as the back door automatically closes. "All right, let's go home." I said as she gave me a nod. We both walked over to the front of the car as I pressed another button on my keys to unlock the doors. We hopped in and placed over our seat belts. I placed the keys into the ignition as the car began to come to life. I looked over to the clock, which said 1:51 PM. "What do you want to do when we get home?" asked Sonata, getting my attention. "I guess we can find something to watch on TV till the new episode of Parasyte comes on tonight." I said. "Oh, that show? How about we watch where we left off. I believe we're at the third episode." said Sonata as her face lit up with glee. "Sure. We can do that." I said as I gave her a smile, while going in reverse. We drove out of the parking lot, as I used my right hand to reach into my pocket and handed over my iPhone over to Sonata. "You know what to do," I said as she took my iPhone out of my free hand and connected it to the car's stereo. She flipped around through my songs and finally clicked on it. She played the song On Melancholy Hill. "Oh, this is a good choice. This one is my 3rd favorite by the Gorillaz." I said as I made a turn," Why play this?" I asked. "W-well… I just think it's a beautiful song. That's all," she said as she stared out the window as we drove past Sugarcube corner. "Not as beautiful as…well… never mind." I blushed. We had a somewhat awkward moment as the car became silent with the exception of the music. 35 minutes later… Jack's Apartment "Ok, go put those clothes away and- Oh shoot!" I said as I placed my hands on my face. "What's wrong?" asked Sonata as she set the bag of clothing onto the kitchen counter. "I forgot to get you some PJs!" I said as I sat down on the couch," Shit! I'm such an idiot! I totally forgot to-" I was cutoff as Sonata ruffled with my hair. "Don't freak out. I wouldn't mind wearing some of your night clothing till you get enough money. I can wait." said Sonata as she retracted her hand from my head while giving me a smile. "O-oh, well then, ok." I said as I began to feel calmer. "How about we continue from where we left off on Parasyte? I want to know what happens next till the next episode is on later tonight." she said as she sat down on my left. "Ok. Also, what would you like for dinner tonight?" I asked. "How about I make you dinner tonight?" asked Sonata. "You can cook?" "I can. For realsies. Before I met you when I was still living with my sisters, I know how to make beef stroganoff, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a few more other things." "Wow, I didn't know that." "Because you have been so kind to me, I want to make it up to you by making you dinner." she said as she patted my back. "Well, ok ok then. Cooking is on you tonight." I said. Sonata jumped onto me and hugged me tightly. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I promise that I won't disappoint you." she said as she broke the hug. "You welcome…Sonie." I said as I grabbed ahold of the remote and turned on the latest episode of Parasyte. > I Like You Just The Way You Are > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Come and get it, Jackie," said Sonata in a sing-like tone. I paused the latest episode and walked over to the dining table where there was a plate of steaming beef stroganoff, along with a glass of mango juice. I sat down and placed a napkin on my lap. Sonata took a seat on my left and watched me, while resting her head on her hands. "Dig in. You'll love it," she said as she gave me a cute smile. I grabbed my fork and twirled it into my food. I got a small fork-full and took a bite of it. Wow, this is good; better than I expected. "This is really good, Sonata." I said. "Glad you like it," she said as I continued eating. "That was good, Sonie," I said as I placed my fork into my now empty plate. "Oh, so you're callin' me 'Sonie' now?" asked Sonata as she took the plate and glass off the table and began washing them. "Why not? You call me 'Jackie', so why can't I give you a nickname?" I asked as I got up from my seat. Sonata finished cleaning the plate and puts it away in the dishwasher. "You're right… If I gave you a nickname, then you can too." she said as she hugged my left arm, "Wanna go back to the latest episode of Parasyte?" she asks as we together walked over to the living room. We sat down and continued the episode. "Um… Jackie?" asked Sonata who had a blush on her face. "Yes, Sonie?" "W-would you mind… if I can snuggle next to you? I'm getting a bit cold." she said as I notice her fingers fidgeting. "Sure, Sonie," I said as she scooched over to me and rested her head on my shoulder. "Wow… now she wants to snuggle next to me? I bet soon, she wants a kiss from me. It's so hard to believe that this is reality. It's as if she infected me (pun intended)." I thought to myself as I wrapped my left arm around her. The episode ends and both Sonata and I gave out a sigh. "Looks like we're gonna have to wait till Saturday," said the both of us. We looked at each other and then gave out a lot of laughter. "I didn't see that coming," I said as I finished my laugh. "Same here," said Sonata," Also, could you get me some PJs to wear? I'm gonna hit the hay in a bit," said Sonata as she gave out a yawn. "Sure, Sonie. I'll be right back. I also need to put on some PJs as well," I said as I walked down the hallway towards my room. I came back wearing PJ bottoms that were Led Zeppelin themed. For her, I picked out a Daft Punk themed PJ bottoms. "All right, I picked out your PJs and are waiting for you till you are ready for bed." I said as I sat down beside her. "Okie dokie. I'm still awake to watch an episode of something else. What's on TV now?" asked Sonata. "Well, we can watch an episode of Family Guy if you want." "Sure. I love Family Guy. My favorite episode is the multiverse episode." she said as she let out a cute squee. "Oh my God… that's also my favorite." I said with surprise. "Do you have it recorded?" she asks. "Sure. Let's watch it." I said as I looked around the episodes of recorded Family Guy episodes and played our favorite episode. 7:55 AM "Ughhh, I soon need to get myself some curtains in the living room," I said to myself as I blocked the sunlight from my eyes. I got up and gave out a stretch. I groggily walked over to the kitchen and made myself breakfast. I sat down on the dining table and turned on my laptop to listen to some morning music. I took a bite out of my buttered toast as my laptop turned on. Once it was on, I looked around Fandango to see what was playing; on there were some pretty violent, which I'm not sure if Sonata would like them and some that seemed like documentaries. However there was one that I would like to see that looks really cute; it was The Good Dinosaur. "Perfect," I thought to myself as I began to buy the two ticket for me and Sonata to see at 11:12. After printing out the tickets, I placed them on the counter and sat back down in the dining room, playing the song from my iTunes called, 'Baby I love your way' by Peter Frampton. "I listen to such great music and many people out there are listening to Justin Bieber and shit. Megatron is absolutely right about this generation." I thought to myself as I continued eating the rest of my buttered toast. Thirty minutes have passed and I just warmed up a cup of coffee for Sonata and I. I drank a little of mine, while Sonata's mug sits on the counter waiting. As I played the song In Your eyes, I heard my bedroom door opening and coming out was Sonata with scruffy hair. "Good morning, Sonie." I said as I paused my music. "Good morning, Jackie," said Sonata after yawning," What song were you just about to listen to?" she asked. I got up from my seat and handed Sonata her mug of coffee. "Thank you Jackie," she said as she took a sip of her coffee. "Care to sit down?" I asked as I pulled back the chair that was close to where I sat. "Sure," said Sonata as she sat down. "The song I was listening to is called In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel; It's a good song." I said as I sat down on my seat. "Do have any mermaid-like music?" asked Sonata out of the blue. "What? Mermaid music? Like a siren? You know, my friend Blake did send me an MP3 called 'Siren Song' from an anime called Tsubasa Crhonicles. Why ask that?" "Jackie… could you not hate me if I tell you this story?" asked Sonata. "I would never hate you, Sonie. Tell me," I replied. "Let me tell you that in this world my sisters and I are human, but in another world where we were was banished from, we were known as a sirens. My sisters and I would go around taking away negative energy; making our voices sound better and better. We thought Equestria was in our grasp, till Starswirl showed up and banished us here. We did the same thing before; trying to take over this world to make people adore us. Do you remember when my sisters and I arrived at the school?" "Yes," "And I guess you remember feeling angry? Wellll…" "Well that explains why I felt angry back then. And that stuff with you flying and all that light from the battle of the bands was actually really magic?" "…Yes," said Sonata as she looked onto the table. "Sonata… We all make mistakes and we all have to take in the consequences of our actions. Plus, I don't care if you are creature from another world; I like you just the way you are." I said as I gave her a soft smile. She looked at me as her eyes began to tear up; she gave me a smile and stood up from her chair. She gave me a hug as more tears came down her face. "Jackie… you are the sweetest guy I will ever know." said Sonata as she gave out a few sniffles. "I'll always be by your side," I said as I hugged back. We stayed in a hugging position for about fifteen seconds till we broke the hug. "Also, Sonata," "Yes?" "I got us two tickets to see The Good Dinosaur." "Oh goody," said Sonata as she got all giddy. "Good to see you happy again. How about you take a shower first?" I said as I turned off my laptop. "Ok," said Sonata as she skipped into my room and grabbed out her clothing. "No matter what happens; I want her to be happy," I thought to myself as I walked over to the kitchen cleaning out my mug. As I started the engine, I connected my iPhone with the car and handed it over to Sonata. "You know what to do, Sonie," I said as Sonata grabbed the iPhone from my hands and scrolling though my music. She then paused and tapped the song. As soon as the song came on, she played the song Sledgehammer. "Sonie, you always find a song that I always want to hear," I said as I gave her a smile. She smiled back as I drove out the parking garage and headed on out to the theater. As we arrived to the theater, Sonata and I got ourselves a Coke to share, a thing of popcorn, and a pack of mini sweet tarts. "Come on, Jackie! The move is about to start!" said Sonata as she walked ahead of me with glee. She helped me push the door open and together; we found a perfect spot for us to sit. "I love these seats, Sonie," I said as we sat down and placed our stuff to the side. Sonata looked around the theater room and then she looked back at me. "I guess no one is coming?" said Sonata with a cocked eyebrow. "Maybe a few. This movie has been out for the past two weeks, so I doubt there'll be many people coming." "Oh…" The lights began to die down and our movie began. As the movie ended, Sonata and I came out of the theaters with tears rolling down our eyes. "Jackie… why did you choose that movie? I have never had this much feels," said Sonata as she gave out a couple of sniffles. "I knew it would. It's Disney," I said as I wiped the tears from the corners of my eyes. "Let's go home and play something funny, please?" asked Sonata as we arrived at the car. "Sure. I know a funny one. How about To-… Sonie?" I was cutoff as Sonata looked away from me," Sonie? What is it?" I asked. "…Nothing. I thought I saw some people I knew, but they weren't…" said Sonata with a little of a concern. "Well whatever it was, it's gone," I said as I got in and closed my door. "Here's an idea. Wanna listen to more Peter Gabriel?" I asked. "Sure," agreed Sonata as she got in. I played the song Big Time (Classic). As we got back at the apartment, we watched Tommy Boy, which was good enough to make us stop thinking about the movie we saw earlier today. "OMG, Jackie; that was hilarious," said Sonata after laughing at the ending. "I'm glad you did. I remember seeing this film when… when my parents were still alive." I said as I looked at the ground. Sonata snuggled close to me and patted my back. "Thanks, Sonie. You're the best," I said as I gave her a hug. "Your welcome," said Sonata as we stopped patting my back. "Also… I'm going back to school tomorrow and I know this would sound weird but… would you mind coming with me to Canterlot high on Friday? There's going to be this dance and I-" I was cutoff as Sonata shook her head. "No… I can't go back there," said Sonata as she looked away from me. "I knew you were going to say that, but I have an idea." "And that is?" said Sonata, giving me a cocked eyebrow. "I'll take you to a beauty salon on Friday before the dance starts. They can change your style; they can help out with your skin, nails, etc. Plus, there are two women over there, I knew since I was a munchkin from Munchkinland and they are really nice. Another thing is that I get my check on Wednesday, which means more money. What do you think? Yes or no?" Sonata sat beside me pondering for fifteen seconds till she had her answer. "As long as I won't get recognized around the school, then yes. I will go to the dance with you," said Sonata giving me a faint smile. "Sonie, trust me. You'll love the dances the school has," I said as I patted her back. "If you like it, then I will as well," said Sonata as she gave me a hug. "Little does she know that I have a very special surprise for her as well. I know she'll love me for it," I thought to myself as I hugged her back. > Guy Talk/Gettng a Dress > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5:32 AM I get up early in the morning on school days; I wake up, eat breakfast, take a shower, watch a little of TV and walk over to school (which is a mile and a half away to walk to; I don't mind taking a walk over to the school. Plus, it's good exercise). After getting cleaned up, I sat down on the couch and went to the news channel; I wanted to know what the weather's like today. After hearing that the weather is gonna be cloudy, I quietly snuck into my room and took out a random jacket. After getting my jacket, I looked down at Sonata who was still asleep; I gave out a soft smile and quietly snuck out of my room. "She's so cute when she is sleeping," I thought to myself as I slowly shut my bedroom door. I sat don in the living room and looked over at the clock; it's 6:10. "I'm gonna leave here in fifteen minutes. I might as well play an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force," I said as I got my remote and looked around my recordings. As I looked around, I found my favorite episode: Ezekiel. "Oh my God, this is one of my favorite episodes," I said to myself as I played the episode. As I was halfway done, I heard my bedroom door opening and Sonata came out rubbing her eyes. "Good morning, Sonie," I said as I gave her a smile. "Morning Jackie. Why are you up so early?' she asked as she gave out a stretch. "I have school today, which means I'll be leaving here around 6:25 or 6:30 in the morning and," I clarified," Plus I also have work on weekdays, which means that I won't be here till seven." "That sucks," said Sonata as she sat down beside me on the couch," What am I supposed to do while your away?" "I have an idea," I said as I took out my apartment key from my pocket, "Here, take my apartment key and go around town while I'm away," I said as I placed the keys in the palm of her hand. "Your Apartment key? Why give them to me?" "So you can go around the neighborhood and explore, instead of hanging around the apartment all day. Also, I'll give you some money while you're out there. There are some places close to here that have food and there's even an arcade." I walked over to my counter and grabbed my wallet and pulled out sixty dollars. "Here, take it," I said as I handed her the money. "Thanks, Jackie. I'll go out there and explore," said Sonata as she gripped onto the money. "That's the spirit," I said as I patted her back and looked at the clock. 6:27; I gotta go. "All right, Sonie. I'm going to school and then I'm heading for work. Have fun while you're out there. Also, don't talk to strangers, use that money wisely, don't lose that key and have a great day," I said as I stood up and grabbed ahold of my backpack, iPhone, etc. "Thanks, Jackie. You too," said Sonata as she gave me a smile. I smiled back at her before I opened the door and left the apartment. I pulled out my iPhone and earplugs and began listening to is this love. "If I didn't allow her to borrow my apartment key, then she'll act like David from that scene from American Werewolf in London where hangs around Alex's house all day. 12:20 PM Lunchtime I walked into the cafeteria and looked around for Blake. As I did, I then noticed him waving his hand in the air trying to get my attention. I walked over and sat beside him while he was watching the opening of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. "Hey Blake, how's your weekend," I asked. "Nothing really. I went out a couple of times through Canterlot Park. It's a very pretty place to go, especially when the sun is setting," said Blake as he paused his episode," How was yours?" "I met the girl of my dreams and she is now living with me at my apartment," I said with dreamy eyes. Blake stood there with surprise in his eyes. "My BFF has finally met the girl of his dreams? In just two day? Congrats, Jack," said Blake as he grabbed ahold of my right hand and shook it. "Indeed I found her," I replied as Blake let go of my hand. "So who is it? Is it Sonata?" he asked with interest as he turned off his iPhone and puts it away in his pocket. "It is Sonata. I found her in an alleyway and decided to take care of her. We went out, we bought clothes, we eat together, we went to the theater yesterday to see The Good Dinosaur, and now she's exploring around the area close to my apartment." "Will she be ok?" "Of course she will. I know she will," I said as I took a bite out of my PB&J. "You're finally with the woman you love. I wonder if you two will have a tragic romance like from The Little Mermaid or perhaps a love story like in Chobits," said Blake as suddenly sparkles appeared around him right out of nowhere. "Hearing you saying that first part with the whole 'Little Mermaid' thing, reminds me of that Mero character from one of your manga," I said as I shooed away the sparkles. "Or perhaps she may be a sweetheart till you find out she's a Ghou-" I raised my hand up at him. "Ok, that's enough. Calm down," I said as I slowly retracted my hand. "Sorry, I can't help it. Even the smallest things in life can remind you of a certain anime, which is true," said Blake as he calmed himself down and took out his half eaten ham sandwich out. "She's a really nice girl. She even knows some of my music as well. She knows ACDC, Led Zeppelin, etc. She's definitely my type of girl." "She does," agreed Blake as he took a bite out of his sandwich. Blake and I were quiet for about three minutes as we finished our lunch. "Since you found a girl, are you going to the dance on Friday? I think it would be a spectacle to see you two there. I'll go there just to enjoy it and possibly find a girl of my own," said Blake as he threw away his plastic bag into the garbage, which was right next to him. "I sure am. First thing's first, she needs a dress and she wants to go to a beauty salon before the dance," I said as I threw away my plastic bag as well," Luckily, I know where to go to a beauty salon, but do you know anyone that can help me find a dress?" "I sure do," "You do?" "She's been around the school since freshman year. Her name is Rarity and she's sitting right over there with her friends," said Blake as he pointed out towards seven girls chatting with one another. "What about her?" "I hear that she has a boutique around Canterlot city and is willing to help anybody with a problem your facing," said Blake as he retracted his hand. "Really? I if she's willing to help, then I go up to her now before the bell rings," I said as I got up from the table seat. "That's the spirit," said Blake as I walked over to the seven girls. As I walked up to them, I was a bit nervous. I wondered if what Blake said was true. "U-um, excuse me?" I said as the girls gave me their attention. "Which one of you is Rarity?" I asked. "That would be me, darling," said the girl with stylish purple hair," May I help you?" "I was wondering if you have any dresses for this girl that I know, that can wear for the dance this Friday?" Rarity began to giggle as I stood at the edge of the table with a confused look upon my face. "What's so funny? Did I say something wrong?" Rarity got up from her seat and stood beside me. "Darling, no guy has come to me from this school asking me if I can give them a dress for a dance, but yes, I will help you with your problem." "When should I meet you? I have work after school and I'll be free by seven." "Come with me before the bell rings," said Rarity as she and I headed out the cafeteria and into her locker. "So darling, which kind of dress does your girl want? Tropical-like? Colorful? Aquatic? Or-" "Aquatic sounds excellent; She loves the sea," I said, cutting off Rarity. "Oh! then I know exactly which one she'll love," said Rarity as she pulled out a box and hands it over to me. "Is it in here?" I asked. "It's in there, darling. If I were you, I would say that you should see it on Friday when the time comes for the dance." said Rarity as she gave me a wink. "Thank you so much, Rarity," I said as a big smile came upon my face. Just then, the bell rang. Lunch was over and everybody was heading to his or her next period class. "Hope you like it, mister… um?" said Rarity, not knowing my name. "It's Jack," I said. "Well Jack, I hope this girl that you want to give it to loves it. See you at the dance," said Rarity as she walked away towards class. "No time for standing here, I have to go to class," I said to myself as I walked down the hall," Now I wonder if I can ask my boss if I can skip work on Friday." > Four Days Later.../ The Dance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Four days have passed and today is the day of the dance. After leaving school, I walked over to where I worked and asked my boss if I can have this one day off. She says it's ok, which was good to hear; my boss was a very nice lady. After that, I walked home with a smile upon my face. "Sonie, I'm home," I said as I entered the apartment. "Welcome back, Jackie," said Sonata as she waved at me. "What have you been doing while I was gone?" "I've been watching some of your movies. Most of them I never heard of before like The Dark Crystal, John Carpenter's The Thing and this really sexualish old animated film called Heavy Metal," said Sonata as she held up the DVD cases. "Heavy Metal is an awesome movie. I remember when I was young, my parents told me about it and said that I can watch it when I'm older." "Oh," said Sonata as she placed the DVD cases near the TV," Also, have you made an appointment for me?" "No prob, I called them yesterday after we had dinner." "When is it?" "They like to see you at 4:24." "Well what are we waiting for? It's 4:01! Let's go!" said Sonata as she got up from the couch and put on her shoes. "All right then," I said as she and I left the apartment together. "Here we are," I said as I pointed to the logo of the store. "Aloe and Lotus' beauty spa…huh…" said Sonata as she observed the logo. "Let's go in," I said as I opened the door for her. We both entered and looked around the waiting room. The walls on the left, right, and in front had the color of light blue with a large lotus flower on each of them. There were five chairs on both the left and right of us, along with a desk in the middle that had a rose. At the counter was a woman with a bored expression upon her face as she red through some sort of magazine. "Excuse me, appointment for Sonata Dusk," I said as Sonata and I walked up to the lady. "Sonata Dusk," said the lady as she flipped through her notes that were beside her," Ah, yes. They'll be with you in five minutes." "Okie dokie then," I said as Sonata and I sat down on one of the chairs and waited. "So you've been here before?" asked Sonata. "I told you before, I knew these ladies since I was little. The two ladies here also knew my real parents before the accident. You could say that these ladies were friends of my parents." "Whoa," said Sonata with astonishment. "I must warn you that they might treat me like a little kid. They've been acting like that since the day I first came here," I said as I scratched the back of my head. "Why? Are they that kind to you?" asked Sonata when suddenly the door to the spa room opened and three women left with smiles upon their faces. "Ok, Sonata Dusk?" said Lotus as she came out of the spa room. Lotus then turned to our direction and she gave me a shocked face. "Jackie! Is that you?!" said Lotus as she rushed over to me and gave me a hug. "Long time no see, Miss Blossom," I said as I hugged her back. "What are you doing here?! It's been so long and look how you've grown." "I'm here with Sonata for an appointment," I said as she looked over to Sonata. "Nice to meet you, Sonata. My name is Lotus and you are such a cutie," said Lotus as she shakes hands with Sonata. "Nice to see you too," said Sonata, giving Miss Blossom a smile. "Hey, sister! Remember that little boy, Jackie?! He's here with a girl!" shouted Miss Blossom to her sister. "REALLY?! OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!!" shouted Aloe from the spa room. We then heard running footsteps and out from the spa room was Aloe with a big smile on her face as she looked over at me. "Jackie!" said Aloe as she ran up to me and gave me a tight hug. "So good to see you Aloe," I said as I hugged her back. "And I can see that you finally have got yourself a girl," said Aloe as she broke the hug and turned her head towards Sonata. "Nice to meet you, Aloe," said Sonata as she waved her hand at her. "Awwww, Jackie! She's such a cutie," said Aloe as she took a few steps towards Sonata," nice to see you, Sonata. I knew your friend Jack since he was a little tike." "He told me about you two," said Sonata as she giggled. "Jackie, she's so cute!" said both the sisters as they gave me big grins. "Hehehe… thanks," I said as I chuckled awkwardly. "So… you ready, Sonata?" asked Aloe. "I sure am," said Sonata as she got up from her seat and followed Aloe and Miss Blossom. "Wait! Sonie!" I said, stopping the three ladies in their tracks," I just want to tell you that I'll go out while you're here. Want anything to snack on before the dance?" Both Aloe and Miss Blossom gasp as they rushed towards me with a spark in their eyes. "Awwww, you're taking her to a dance?" said both the sisters. "Uh… yeah. Why do you think I brought her here?" "Don't you worry, Jackie. We'll make her look fabulous that the boys at your school will be jealous of you," said the girls as they stood up straight and saluted. "Thanks, sisters," I said as I gave them a smile and walked out of the place. "I wonder if Sonie will like this chewy sweet tarts?" I said as I walked down the sidewalk towards the convenience store, which was half a mile away. I walked back to the spa 30 minutes later with a bag of things for mostly Sonie and a bag of chewy sweet tarts. "I wonder if Sonie is ready? I also walked over to another store and got her a pair of high heels," I thought to myself as I walked into the waiting room of the spa and sat down on the same chair that I sat on earlier. A minute later, Aloe opened the door and saw me with the bag of things. "She's ready, Jackie," said Aloe as she moved to the side. From the spa room came out Sonata with a grin on her face. She looked prettier than before. Her eyes shined like stars, her hair looks healthier than ever, and her hands looked as if she was born from a rich man. "How do I look, Jack?" said Sonata as she gave me a twirl. "Y-you look… like a Goddess," I said with my mouth gaping wide open. Sonata and the sisters began to giggle as they walked over to me. "Well, that your answer, Sonata," said Aloe. "Thank you very much, Aloe and Miss Blossom." I said as I stood up with the bag of things in hand. "Your welcome," said both Aloe and Miss Blossom. "How much?" I said as I gave the bag over to Sonata and reached into my pocket for my wallet. "We'll give you this one for free, Jackie," said Miss Blossom. I took my hand out of my pocket and gave them a smile. "Aww, you ladies are always so sweet to me." "Anything for the happy couple," said Aloe. Sonata and I blushed as we looked over to each other. "WE'RE NOT A COUPLE!" shouted Sonata and I. "Sorry," said both Aloe and Miss Blossom as they giggled. "All right, we gotta go. The dance will begin at six." I said as I grabbed ahold of Sonata's hand. "Good luck," said both Aloe and Miss Blossom, as they waved us good bye. We made it back to the apartment and sat down on the couch for a bit to kill some time. As an hour and a half passed, I stood up from the couch and walked over to my room to give Sonata that dress that Rarity made. "Here Sonie, I want you to go into my room and change into this," I said as I handed over the box to her. "Okie dokie," said Sonata as she skipped over to my room and shut the door. I sat on the couch for about fifteen minutes till I heard my bedroom door creak opening. As Sonata came into the living room, she wore a really beautiful and pretty blue dress without any shoes or socks on. Her face began to blush as she looked over to me. "How… do you like it?" asked Sonata. "You look… adorable," I said as my face began to feel warm," However, there's one more thing missing." I walked over to the counter and took out the high heels for Sonata to wear. "Sit down, here. I'm gonna put these high heels on you," I said s Sonata walked over to the chair and sat down. I placed them on her feet and allowed her to walk around the apartment for a bit to get use to wearing high heels. "You're ready, but first, I need to get ready myself," I said as I walked over to my room and shut the door. 40 minutes later... We stood right in front of the school as Sonata took in a gulp. "Don't worry, Sonie. I'm right by your side," I said as I patted her back," While you're around the school, your name will be 'Teresa'." "That's a pretty name, but what about my appearance?" "Hmmmm… here," I said as I took off Sonata's scrunchie," Does this look good?" I asked, as I took out my iPhone and took a pic of her to see what she looked like. "Wow… I look like a different person," she said as she straightened out a little more of her hair. "You do," I said in agreement," Come on, let's go in." I grabbed ahold of her hand and the both of us headed in the school. As we made it to the dance, everybody was either dancing to the music, drinking punch, talking to friends, the usual things you would normally see around a dance in a school. "Jack!" said Blake as he rushed over to me. "Hey, Blake! How's the dance for you?" I asked. "It's going great, buddy. Everyone's having a good time," said Blake. Blake then turned towards Sonata and gave out a little gasp of surprise. "Are you… S-" Blake was cutoff by Sonata's hushing. "Oh… sorry," said Blake, as he rubbed the back of his head. "Blake, we need to keep quiet about her name; While we're around the school, call her 'Teresa'." I whispered to him. "Oh, gottcha,"said Blake as he gave me a wink and walked over to Sonata," Nice to meet you, Teresa." "Nice to meet you too, Blake," said Sonata, as she and Blake shook hands. "So… are you two gonna dance at some point?" asked Blake. "We will. We're just waiting for the music choice to get soothing," I said as I walked over to Blake and whispered into his ear," Also, I have a surprise for Sonata if the DJ doesn't mind." "Why don't you ask her, man? She's over there," said Blake as he pointed over to the DJ. "Thanks man," I said with a thumbs up and walked over to Sonata," Teresa, could you hang out with Blake for a bit as I go talk to that DJ over there?" "Sure. See you in a bit," she said with a smile as she began to walk over to Blake. I walked through the dance floor and was finally close to the DJ. "Hey there," I said to the DJ, as she gave me the thumbs up," I was wondering, do you do karaoke request?" She nodded. "Oh, good, 'cause I want to sing to this girl that I like," I said to her as she gave me the gesture for me to whisper to her. I told her the song and she gave me both a large mile and a nod. I walked up to the stage as the music died down and everyone had his or her eyes on me. "Hello, Canterlot high! How's the dance treating you?!" I shouted to the crowd as everyone screamed with glee," Good. Well, sorry if the music died down for your fun, but there's a girl out in the crowd that I want to sing to. She means a lot to me and I want her to hear this!" The girls of the crowd clasped their hands and awed. "Teresa, this song is for you! Hit it!" I said to the DJ as she began to play the song: As the song ended everyone clapped and as I looked over to Sonata, she looked as if she was about to let all of her feels out. "I like to thank the DJ for allowing me to do this, special applause for her," I said as I pointed to the DJ. Everyone applaud as I left the stage and had a bunch of people telling me that I did a good job singing or that I have a good voice. As I was a two feet away from Sonata, I heard a voice call out to me. I turned around and it was none other than Rarity waving her hand at me to get her attention. "Jack, darling! That was spectacular!" said Rarity as she patted my shoulder," Darling, who is this Teresa girl? I would like to meet her." I pointed over to Sonata who had a nervous look upon her face. "Oh! So this is Teresa?" said Rarity as she walked over to Sonata. As Rarity inspected Sonata, she gave her a suspicious look. "Darling, she looks… familiar." said Rarity, as she tapped her left foot while eyeing at Sonata. Sonata shook her head. "Well, whatever, she's such a cutie, darling," said Rairty as she shook her hand," Nice to meet you, I'm Rarity and your friend Jack, got you that dress from me." Sonata gave her an awkward smile and elided to go along with it. After shaking hands, Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna came up to the stage and grabbed ahold of their microphones. "Hello Canterlot High, tonight's performance by Jack was amazing! Around of applause for him again," said Principal Celestia as everyone turned towards me and clapped. "Now we advise everyone to find a partner and prepare to dance. We are going to have a vote tonight for who is best the dance couple," said Luna as everyone murmured to one another in agreement. "Teresa, wanna be my dance partner?" I asked, as I held out my hand for her. "I sure will, Jackie," said Sonata as she grabbed ahold of my hand and together, we both walked over to the dance floor. "Has everyone found a dance partner?" asked Celestia. Everyone replied with a yes or they held up their hands. "Good, let the contest begin," said Luna, as she pointed to the DJ. The DJ gave her a thumbs up and began playing a slow song: Everyone grabbed their partner hand-in-hand and began to slowly dance. I looked over to Sonata who had a nervous look upon her face. "What's wrong?" I asked her, as she let go of my hand and began to blush. "Um… it's just that… well… I don't know how to dance," said Sonata as she looked away from me. "Don't worry, Teresa. I'll help you," I said as I held out my hand for her. She reached out to me as I grabbed ahold of her left hand and brought her close to me. I grabbed ahold of her back. "Don't worry, I got you," I said as Sonata's face looked ever so redder. "O-ok," she said as I gave her a twirl. "See, your doing fine," I said, giving her a smile. We continued to dance as the song continued. As we danced, I notice at the cover of my eye that everyone on the room was looking at us as they continued with their dance. "Seems like we're gonna win," I thought to myself as I continued dancing with Sonata. 23 Minutes Later... "All right, the votes are in," said Celestia as everybody whooped. "And this years dance queen and queen are… Jack and Teresa! Around of applause please!" said Luna, as Sonata and I stood on the dance floor looking like the OMG cat. Everyone clapped for us as we made our way to the stage to get our crowns. "Wow! I never expected us to be dance king and queen; Thank you all for voting on us," I said, as I grabbed ahold of the microphone," I also like to thank Rarity for giving this dress for Teresa." Everyone looked over towards Rarity and clapped for her. "You all made my night absolutely perfect. My girlfriends and I will like to thank you all yet again," I said, Sonata and I made our way down the stage and into the crowd. Sonata and I made our way out of the school and headed towards my vehicle when suddenly my friend Blake, along with Fluttershy, stopped us. "Hey Jack! Hey Teresa," shouted Blake, trying to get our attention," tonight was the best dance I ever had in my life. Also, I met this girl. Her name is Fluttershy and she and I have the same taste in anime." "Hi," said Fluttershy as she waved at us. "Hi Fluttershy. I've seen you around school. We have the same math class," I said as I shook her hand. "Oh yeah, I do remember you. Nice to meet you in person. I also have to say that you two make a very sweet couple," said Fluttershy as sparkles appeared around her. "…Ok," said Sonata and I. "Well, we'll leave you two alone. Fluttershy and I are gonna hang out a little longer. See you around," said Blake, as he and FLuttershy waved us goodbye. "See ya," I said, as I waved back at them. "You too, Teresa," said Blake, giving Sonata a thumbs up. Sonata waved back at him and the both of us got in the car. "Wow… tonight was a blast, Jack. Also, when did you learn to dance like that?" asked Sonata, as she placed her seatbelt on. "Well… let's just say that I watch some romance movies. Hehehe," I laughed awkwardly, as I placed the key into the ignition. "Like what?" asked Sonata, as she placed her hands on her lap. "Dirty Dancing." "Dirty Dancing? Never heard of it," said Sonata, as she gave me a cocked eyebrow. "You haven't, eh? Well, when we get home, I'm gonna make you some pasta and the both of us are gonna watch it. I bet you'll love it. Also, would you mind going through my phone and play I've had the time of my life?" Sonata cracked a smile, as I handed her my phone. She grabbed it and scrolled through my music till she found it. "Is this it?" asked Sonata, as the song began. I cracked a smile, as I drove out of the parking lot. "That's it, Sonie." > Unexpected Visiters > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7:59 PM Jack's Apartment Sonata and I were sitting on the couch with our PJs on, as the film came to an end; the credits rolled, as I pressed the eject button from the remote. "How did you like it, Sonie?" I asked, as I took out the DVD and pressed the eject button for the disc thingamajig to close. "It was a cute film. You sure have a weird, but interesting taste in films, Jack," said Sonie, as she gave me a smile. I smiled back, as I walked back into my room to put the disc away. I came back into the living room and switched from DVD to regular TV. "I have to admit Sonie, I never imagined us being prom king and queen. It was a shocker for the both of us," I said, as I gave out a chuckle. "True that," said Sonie, as she giggled. After our laugh, we went quiet, as the TV was the only noise in the portent. "Um… Sonie?" "Yes?" "I… I just want to tell you that the time with you, has been mind blowing. You are clearly the best girl I've ever met." She looked at me with a blush upon her face. "Aww, Jackie. I've been holding it in as well, but I also wanted to tell you the same thing about you being the best guy I've ever met." I blushed, as I scratched the back of my head. "Sonie… I want to ask you something… do you want… to stay with me… Cause, your all I need to make my life perfect." Sonie's face went ever redder, as she scotched up to me. "Jackie… you mean it?" "Yes… I do mean it, Sonie. I… I love you." Sonata's eyes began to go watery, as she placed her face onto my chest and bursts out tears. I held up her head and used my thumbs to wipe away her tears. "Sonie… all I want is for you to feel happy. I'll do everything I can to make it happen," I said, as I gave her a small smile. Sonie sniffled and gave me as well a short smile. My heart began to pound a lot when I was bringing her face close to mine. She began to pucker her lips, as I did the same when suddenly there was a knock on the door. Sonie and I immediately stopped our first kiss and turned our heads towards the door. "Stay here, I'll check it out," I said, as I got up and walked to the door. At the door, I peeked through the peephole and was surprised to who it was; it was Adagio and Aria standing in front of my door waiting for me to open it. I pulled my head back and looked back at Sonata. "It's… it's your sisters," I said, as Sonata stood up with a shocked face. "Why? Why are they here? What do they want?" said Sonata, as she ran towards my room to hide herself from her sisters. "I guess she doesn't want to see them after what her sisters had did to her," I thought, as I looked again through the peephole. Adagio and Aria had impatient looks, as Adagio knocked on the door again. I grabbed the door handle and opened the door to reveal myself. "Um… can I help you?" "Yes, we are here for our sister," said Adagio. "Is she here now?" asked Aria. I stood there with an irritated look upon my face and tapped my foot. "You have some nerve coming here to find her after what you did to her. Some sisters you are. What sister leaves their sister all alone in the city?" I said, with a little of anger in my voice. Aria quickly grabbed my collar and pulled me down to her eye level. "Listen buddy, why don't you just-" "ARIA!" shouted Adagio, making Aria stop her rant. Aria looked back at me with an angry look and let go of my collar. "Look, we did not come here to fight; we came here to find her and apologize for what we did to her. Please, let us see her," said Adagio with a little of desperation in her voice. "If you come in, you and your sister need to promise me that you two won't cause any problems for Sonata, ok?" I asked. "I understand," replied Adagio. "Ok then," I said, as I opened up the door all the way for them, "come on in." The two sisters walked in and took a look around the place. The too, just like Sonata, have some sort of interest of my apartment. "So this is where Sonata has been for the past while?" asked Aria, as she sat down on the couch. "Indeed" "Have you been taking care of her? We got jobs, but we don't have an apartment anymore because we didn't have enough rent money. For a while, me and Aria have been sheltering ourselves in an abandoned house that's not far from here," asked Adagio. "Of course I've been taking care of her. I've been giving her food, a bed to sleep on, clothes, and lo- I mean all the fun she could ever have," I said, as the sisters gave me a surprised look. "Wow… you really have been taking care of our sister," said Aria. "I have to say you're nice guy than we thought," said Adagio. "That's very kind of you," I said with a smile. Just then, we heard a growl. Aria placed her right hand on her stomach and rubbed it. "Would it kill you if you can give me a snack?" asked Aria. "No prob, what would you like? I have cereal, bread, pop tarts, leftover beef stroganoff, and yogurt. Anything of these things sound good?" "Can I have a pop tart?" "Sure," I said, as I got up and went into the kitchen. I went through the pantry and found that I had two flavors. "Would you like chocolate or strawberry?" "Strawberry," replied Aria. "Would you also mind to get me chocolate?" asked Adagio. "No prob," I said, as I grabbed out one of each. I closed the door and came back to the give the sisters their pop tarts. "Here you go, you two," I said, as they snatched the bags out of my hand and immediately ripped open the bags and guzzled them down. I stood there with a surprised look on my face; it was as if these girls haven't eaten anything in two days. "Um… have you two been eating?" "No, we haven't," said Aria with her mouth full, "we haven't eaten anything all day today." "She's right," joined in Adagio, "we have been around Canterlot all day looking for you two- I mean, looking for her." "Have you two been spying on us? I remembered when Sonata and I left the movie theater; she was looking at something with concern. Am I right? Were you two there before we left?" Adagio gulped and gives out a sigh. "Yes… we saw you two leaving the theaters and have been looking for you for a while," said Adagio. "I thought so," I said, as I snapped my fingers. "Can we see our sister now? I'm losing my patience," said Aria, as she crumpled her empty bag. "Aria! Don't be rude," snapped Adagio. "Whatever," said Aria, as she rolled her eyes. "Hey Sonie!" I said, trying to get Sonata's attention. "Sonie?" said both Aria and Adagio. "It's a nickname I gave her," I explained, "Sonie! Come out here! Your sisters want to apologize!" Just then, my bedroom door opened and Sonata came out through the hallway. She looked at her sisters with an angry look and crossed her arms. "Sonata, me and Aria are here to apologize. We are very sorry for what we did to you," said Adagio with tears in her eyes, "Please, find it in your heart to forgive us." Adagio let out tears, as Aria looked at Sonata. "Sonata… we really, really mean it. Please, forgive us," said Aria, as tears began to flow down her face. Sonata began to sniffle and ran up to her sisters in a loving embrace. The three of them gave each other tight hugs. "Yes! Yes, I forgive you two. Please don't do that ever again!" cried out Sonata, as she and her sisters continued their sobbing. "I should give them some time to themselves," I thought, as I walked into my room till their crying ended. "Sir! Come back, please," pleaded Adagio, trying to get my attention. "Yes?" I said, as I walked back into the living room. "Thank you… for caring for our sister. You are a nice guy," said Adagio, giving me a teary smile. "You really are a cool guy," joined in Aria, as she wiped her face. "You are very welcome," I said, as I walked up to the three sisters and gave them a group hug. 9:13 PM "Dinner's ready," I announced, as the three girls came up to dining table and sat down. "What's for dinner?" asked Aria. "Cooked shrimp," I said, as I placed a dish of shrimp to each of them one by one. "Oh, yummy," said the three of them with a little of drool coming down the corner of their mouths. "Dig in everybody," I said, as we together began to eat. "This is pretty damn good," said Aria, as she gulped down the first shrimp, "You are a really good cook." "He sure is," agreed Sonata, "How's yours Adagio?" "Not bad. Reminds me of Equestria's shrimp." I smiled and continued eating. Aria began to stretch her arms, as Adagio and Sonata did the same. "I'm gettin' tired," said Aria, as she rubbed her temples. "Same here, Aria," agreed Adagio, as she as well began to yawn. "Me three… but wait… where are you two gonna sleep?" said Sonata, as she and her sisters looked at me. "Well, actually, I have a guest bedroom. Do you two mind sleeping together?" "We don't mind at all," said Adagio. "Sure, I guess," said Aria. "Wait! You had a guest bedroom? I always wondered what was behind that other door." "Hehehe, yes I do. I usually save that whenever my parents decide to stay the night over. Come I'll show you to your room," I said, as the three sisters followed me. We went do to the end of the hallway and stood in front of the door. "Here you two go. I hope you don't mind the posters I have in their," I said, as I opened the door. We walked in and saw a nice mattress that was the perfect size for both Adagio and Aria to sleep on. Aria looked at one of the posters; the one she was looking at was the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie For Theaters one. Adagio and Sonata were looking at The Princess Bride one. "Badass poster, mister… um…" said Aria, not knowing my name. "It's Jack. Jack Backlash." "Well, cool poster, Jack." said Aria, giving me a smile. "I really like this poster, Jack. Have you seen this one? I haven't," said Adagio. "Same," said both Aria and Sonata. "I sure have. In fact, I have it on DVD." Adagio and Sonata rushed over to me with smiles on their faces. "Can we see it tomorrow?" said the both of them. I looked over to Aria, who had a 'not interested' look on her face and then I looked back at them. "Sure, if Aria doesn't mind." "She doesn't mind, riiiight?" said Adagio and Sonata, as they both blinked rapidly at Aria. "Pfft, whatever," said Aria, as she crossed her arms. "Then it's settled," said Adagio. "Okie dokie, time for bed," I said, as I clapped my hands. "You're right, Jack. We sisters need our beauty sleep. Also, do you mind if Aria and I go back to the abandoned house to grab our stuff? We didn't bring an extra pair of clothing, so we'll be wearing the same things tomorrow till we can go get our clothes." asked Adagio. "I have no problem with that," I said with a smile. "Thanks," said Adagio, giving me a small smile, "Well, good night, Jack." "Night," said Aria. "Good night you two," said Sonata and I, before we closed the door. "Jack… Thank you for allowing them to stay here. You're a very nice guy," said Sonata, as she gave me a hug. "Your welcome," I said, as I hugged her back. We then broke the hug and looked at each other in the eye. I then placed my hand on her cheeks and our faces came closer, as our lips began to touch one another. "Thanks… for that… kiss," said Sonata with a blushed face. "Um… sure…" I said. We stood there quietly and had a somewhat awkward moment. "Well… good night, Jackie… I love you." she said, as she walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek. "I love you too, Sonie," I replied, as I did the same. She then disappeared behind my bedroom door and turned off the lights. I walked out of the hallway and turned off the lights, grabbed ahold of a blanket and rested myself on the couch. The only light in the living room was the moons light coming down from the sliding windows that leads to the patio. "What a night," I said to myself, as I snuggled into the couch. Just then, I heard a door creak open. I leaned up and heard footsteps coming from the hallway. As the footsteps got closer and closer, from what I could tell from the moons light, it was a tired Adagio. Unlike when we met, she was wearing a yellow shirt and wearing pink panties. I immediately looked away. "Adagio, what are you doing? Put your clothes back on," I said, trying to shoo her away. "I'm too tired to do that," said a sleepy Adagio, "I came here to thank you again for taking care of my sister. You are a sweet guy." She then walks up to me and gives me a tight hug. "Without you… Sonata would've been dead because of us and we would've regretted what we did," said Adagio, as I began to feel tears coming down on my shoulder. "Your welcome, Adagio… Your welcome," I said, as I hugged her back. We then broke the hug and gave each other tired smiles. "Well… see you in the morning, Jack." said Adagio, as she walked back into the hallway. "Good night," I replied, before she closed the guest room door. "Your welcome, Adagio." I said before falling asleep. > Clothes Shopping Again?!?! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I gave out a good stretch, as I looked towards the sliding glass windows, where the sunshine was coming from. I stood up and groggily walked over to my Mac and went through my music; I played the song Let's Have Another Cup of Coffee, which I heard from an episode of Family Guy. "Makes sense to play in the morning," I said to myself, as I walked over to the coffee maker. As I grabbed ahold of a red mug, I then had a second thought. "You know what, I'm gonna make the girls some coffee," I said, as I took out three extra mugs. I looked at the clock, as I sipped my coffee. "Eight AM? Damn, I woke up early," I thought, as I flipped through the TV channels. As I flipped through the channels, something caught my eye. My eyes lit up, as I noticed in five minutes, the 1970s animated Lord of The Rings was about to start. "Wow, I gotta watch that," I said, as I clicked onto the channel and waited for the credits of the previous movie to end. Just then, I heard two doors opening from the hallway, out came Sonata, Adagio and Aria with sleepy faces. I looked over to Adagio and was glad that she's wearing pants, unlike last night when she came to see me wearing nothing but a shirt and underwear. "Good morning, girls," I said, as I stood up. "Morning, Jackie," said Sonata with a yawn. "Good morning, Jack," said Adagio. "Mornin'" said a grumpy-sounding Aria. "Would you ladies like some coffee? I have them right on the counter. Sorry if they feel cold; I woke up very early this morning," I said, as I pointed to the counter. "Thanks Jackie, you're so sweet," said Sonata, as she and her sisters got to the counter and grabbed ahold of their mugs. "Thanks, Jack. You made my morning," said Adagio, before sipping her coffee. "Thanks, I guess," said Aria, as she got ahold of her mug. "What are you watching?" asked Sonata, as she sat down beside me on the left. "The animated Lord of The Rings is about to come on." "Lord of The Rings? I hear that's a good book and movie trilogy. We three haven't seen or read any of them." said Adagio, as she stood beside the couch. "It is," I said in agreement, "And there's also The Hobbit, which is also a movie trilogy and a novel." "You three are such nerds," said Aria, as she placed her empty mug on the counter. "What crawled up your butt?" said Sonata. "Never mind, I'll watch it," said Aria, as she stood beside Adagio, staring at the TV. "Would you two like it if I sat on the floor and you two sit on the couch? I don't think this couch can withstand four people," I said, as I stood up. "Really? Are you sure you want to sit on the ground?" asked Adagio. "I don't mind." "Such a nice guy you are," said Adagio, as she patted my back and sat down on the couch. "Thanks," said Aria, as she sat down beside Adagio to the right. "Oh look," said Adagio, as she pointed to the empty spot close to Sonata, "looks like there is room for you." "Oh good," I said, as I sat down beside Sonata, "You comfortable, Sonie?" "I am," she said, as she leaned her head onto my shoulder. "You are so-" I was cutoff by Adagio's shushing. "The movie's starting," said Adagio. "Sorry." "Seems ok," said Adagio, as the movie continued. "Meh, for me," said Aria with a bored look on her face. "How about you Sonie?" "It's alright," said Sonie. "I think at some point tomorrow, we should watch Peter Jackson's The Hobbit first before we go to The Lord of The Rings trilogy." "Why The Hobbit first?" asked Adagio. "Because it takes place before The Lord of The Rings." "Oh, thanks you for clarifying that," said Adagio. I looked back towards the movie with a smile on my face. "I think I'm gonna have a great time with these girls," I thought to myself. "That was… ok, I guess," said Adagio, as the credits began to roll. "I'm with her on that," said Aria. "It could've been better," said Sonata. "Perhaps we should've watched the movie trilogy instead," I said. "Yeah," said the three girls. Adagio looked towards the clock and was surprised at the time. "Oh my God, we should get ourselves cleaned before going to the abandoned house to get our things," said Adagio, as she rushed towards the guest room, "I totally forgot!" "Oh shoot, she's right," I said, as I looked over to Sonata and then Aria, "would you girls get yourselves cleaned before we leave?" "I'll go after Adagio," said Aria. "Then me," said Sonata. "I'll go last then," I said, as Sonata began to giggle. "It's already 11:23 AM? Time flies by," I said to myself, as I grabbed ahold of my things and walked towards the door where the girls are waiting. "You three ready?" "We're ready," said the three. "Let's roll," I said, as I unlocked the door and held the door open for the girls. "Such a gentleman you are," said Adagio. "He is, isn't he?" said Sonata. "A gentleman indeed," said Aria sarcastically. I locked the door and the four of us headed downstairs. "Here we are," I said, as the girls and I stood a few feet away in front of my car. "I like it," said Adagio. "Then why don't you ladies hop in?" I said, as I opened a door for them. The girls got in and buckled up; I sat in the front and started the engine. "Sonie, you know what to do," I said, as I handed my now connect phone to Sonata. "You girls are gonna love his music," said Sonata, as she and her sisters looked through my music. "I have to admit Jack, you have a great taste in music. These songs are old, but still popular," complimented Adagio. "It's unlike me to say this, but you really do have good music on your phone," said Aria. As I began to pull out of the parking garage, Sonata picked a good one: "Good choice, Sonie. You must have heard this from Heavy Metal," I said, as I made a right turn. "Yes indeed," said Sonata cheerfully. "Anyway, Adagio, could you tell me where this house is?" "Sure, keep going forward ten blocks, then take a left and you'll see it," said Adagio, as she pointed forward. I have to admit, it was a nice ride, when out of nowhere, Aria began to sing the lyrics: "Won't you take a rideriderideride on heavy metal~" After Aria sang to it, we all sang along with her: "It's the only way to travel down that road~. Satisfiedfiedfiedfiedfied on heavy metal~. Baby won't you ride, ride until it explodes~." "This is it," said Adagio, as she, her sisters and I were looking at the old abandoned house. We walked towards the door and opened it. Inside were a bunch of cobwebs, dust, and anything to make this place look old. "I feel as if I entered a horror movie," I thought, as Adagio and Aria went up the stairs. "You and Sonata wait there. We'll be right back," said Adagio before making a right turn towards one of the rooms. "I can't believe they lived here. I feel bad for them," I said before Sonata began to pat my back. "At least they're with us. You'll take good care of them, like you did with me," said Sonata. I smiled, as I ruffled with Sonata's hair. "Of course I will, Sonie. For you," I said, making Sonata blush. "Here they are, let's go," said Aria, as she and Adagio came down the stairs. We got out of the house and walked back to the car. "It's a good thing that these bags weren't touched," said Adagio. "Totally," agreed Aria. "Oh no," said Adagio, as she looked through her bag, "Looks like we need more clothes. These look disgusting." The hairs on my head lit up. "Oh God, don't tell me," I thought with worry. "Yeah, these clothes are starting to look as if I was attacked by some sort of creep," agreed Aria. "Shit! Are they going to ask me to-" "Jack, would you mind if we go to the mall to get some clothes? We need them." There was only one word in my mind: "Are you ok with going to the mall today?" asked Sonata. "S-sure," I said, "God, just kill me now!!!" "Also, can we get something to eat? We haven't ate anything this morning," said Aria. "Sure," I said, as I started the engine and we drove towards the Canterlot mall. "Ok, let's get this over with," I said, as the girls and I got out of the car. "What's wrong, Jackie?" asked Sonata, as she walked up beside me. "I think he's embarrassed to be with us in a women's clothing store," said Aria with a snicker. "Is that true, Jack? You embarrassed to go into a women's clothing store?" asked Adagio, as she, her sisters and I walked towards the mall. "Yes," I said with a flushed face, "I feel like a pervert." "But you were brave enough to do go into that lingerie store for me," said Sonata, "I think you can handle it one more time." Adagio and Aria stopped and gave me a surprised look. "You went into a lingerie store with her?" said both Aria and Adagio. "...yes," I said silently. Adagio and Aria immediately burst out with laughter. "My day just got better," said Aria with tears of laughter coming out of her eyes. "My sides hurt," said Adagio, as she placed her hands on her sides. "Oh, shut up!" I said out of embarrassment and continued walking forward, along with Sonata by my side. The two sisters stopped their laughter and followed us. The four of us went through the sliding doors and entered the mall. Adagio and Aria were really impressed that they reminded me of when I took Sonata to the mall. I gave out a chuckle, as the girls looked back at me with a cocked eyebrows. "What's so funny?" said Aria. "You two remind me when I took Sonata to mall. She did the exact same thing you two did." "Oh..." "So where is this lingerie store you'll be taking us?" asked Adagio, as she came up to me. "Follow me," I said the three girls followed behind me. "Oh! Jackie, we should also go to Hot Topic for PJs as well. For me and for them," said Sonata, as she came up to me. "Thanks for reminding me, Sonie," I said, as I ruffled her hair. "So this is the place you took her?" asked Adagio, as she looked up at the Victoria's Secret logo. "Yes," I grumbly said. "Let's just go in and do this already," said Aria, as she walked into the store. "You ready, Jackie?" asked Sonata, as she wrapped her arms around my arm. "I'll live," I said, as she, Adagio and I entered into the store. "Jeez, what's taking those two so long to put lingerie on?" I thought to myself, as Sonata and I sat in front of the dressing room. "We're almost done, Jack," said Adagio from within the dressing room. "Well hurry up! I don't like being in this store," I said frustratingly. "Just suck it up!" said Aria. As Sonata and I stood in front of the dressing room a little longer, I notice that there were women looking at us. I can hear them whispering things like: "Isn't that the guy who came here with that blue ponytail girl?" "It is, and now he has two more girls with him." "I think this guy is trying to make some sort of harem." I was more embarrassed than ever before, but I had to stay and pay for the clothing. "Don't worry, Jackie," said Sonata, as she placed her hand on my arm, "we'll leave soon." "We better," I thought, as I looked back towards the waiting room. Just then, Aria and Adagio came out and looked at me with evil grins. "What's wrong, Jack? Embarrassed?" said Adagio teasingly. "You got that right," I said out of frustration. "Well, we're done. If that makes you any better," said Aria, as she placed her and Adagio's clothing into a shopping bag. "Let's go," I said, as the girls and I walked over to the cashier. Aria placed the shopping bag on the counter, as the cashier gave me a rather awkward look. "What are you looking' at?" I said out of irritation, as I gave the cashier a angry glare. "Oh nothing, Sir," said the cashier, as she frantically took out the clothing and scanned them. "Jack, what's up? You seem… angry," said Sonata, as she placed a hand on my shoulder. From her tout, all of my frustration just disappeared. I looked at her and gave her a soft smile. "Sorry… I'm just a little frustrated to be here," I said, as I ruffled her hair. "That'll be $150.56" said the cashier. I took out my wallet and gave her my card. "Will that be debit or credit?" "Debit, please," I said, as the recipe prints out. "Have a good day, you four," said the cashier with a sheepish smile. "We will," said the three sisters with cutsey smiles upon their faces. I took the bag and we headed out the entrance. As we stood in front of the entrance, I gave out a loud sigh. "Thank God, it's over," I said out loud. "You must have really hated it in there?" said Adagio. "I really do hate going in there," I replied. "You're such a drama queen," said Aria, as she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, Jackie. At least we can go to Hot Topic," said Sonata, as she looked at me with twinkles in her eyes. I cracked a smile and chuckled. "At least I can survive going in there." "Excuse me, Jack, would you mind telling me and Aria here what this Hot Topic place is like?" asked Adagio. "It's this place that has cool pins, shirts, hoodies, collectables, and other stuff," said Sonata before I could answer. "Really?" said Aria with a cocked eyebrow, "Sounds interesting." "It peeks my interest as well," said Adagio, agreeing with Aria. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's head there," I said. "Lead the way, Jack," said Sonata with a smile. "Here we are," I said, as I pointed towards the inside of the store. "This place looks pretty awesome," said Aria, as she took a step into the store. We all followed and the girls immediately walked towards the girl section. Aria was skimming through the pants, Adagio was looking at the tops, Sonata was looking through the PJs. "Hey Jackie, what do you think of these?" asked Sonata, as she held up two PJ bottoms. The one on her right grip was Studio Ghibli themed with the cat from Kiki's Delivery Service and in her left grip was Steven Universe themed. "I'll buy those for you," I said, as Sonata gave me a cute smile like that dinosaur from that anime film that Blake showed me. "We found something we like too," said Adagio, as she and Aria came up to me with clothing in their hands. Adagio was holding a top with a skull in the middle and Aria was holding onto some blue jeans. "So I guess you girls are done with shopping?" I asked. "Yep," said the three. "Then let's go pay," I said, as the girls and I walked over to the cashier. Surprisingly, the cashier was the same Goth-looking cashier that me and Sonata met. "Hey there- oh wow," said the goth cashier with surprise, "Aren't you a player." My face flushed, as I scratched the back of my head. "It's not what it looks like," I said. "Where are you finding these girls?" "I…um… they're my friends. You already met Sonata, the blue haired girl. Poofy head here is Adagio and pigtails here is Aria." "Hello girls," said the cashier. "Hey," said the girls. "I bet you're havin' fun with these three, huh?" said the cashier, making me and the girls blush. "I already told you it's nothing like that," I said, as I flail my arms back and forth. "Just kidding, hand me the clothes," giggled the cashier. I handed the clothes and the cashier began scanning them. "That'll be $85.78." I took out my wallet and gave it to the cashier. "Debit or credit?" "Debit please." She swiped it and handed my card back to me, as the receipt prints out. "Here you go, have a good day with your friends," said the cashier with a smile, as she gave me my receipt. "Thanks, have a good day," I said, as the girls and I left the store. "Well… that was awkward," said Adagio. "Indeed," said Sonata, Aria, and I. Just then, there were multiple growls. The girls placed their hands on their stomachs and giggled. "Looks like we should find a place to eat," said Adagio. "Taco Bell!" said Sonata with a jump. "I can go with that, agreed Aria. "I can eat whatever," said Adagio. "Okie dokie, Taco Bell it is," I said with a smile. "Mm, this is delicious," I said after swallowing my bite of my burrito, "How is your lunch, girls?" "It's great," said Adagio before taking another bite into her taco. "It pretty good," said Aria. "I love it! Thank you, Jack," said Sonata, as she hugged my right arm. "Your welcome," I replied with a blush. Adagio and Aria giggled, as I looked at them. "What's so funny?" I asked, as Sonata let go of my arm and blushed. "Nothing," said the two and they continued eating. "…ok…" I said, as I did the same. "Thanks for the grub, Jack. I'm stuffed," said Aria. "You're welcome, girls," I said, as I held onto the bags, "Let's call it a day. I'm tired of caring these close for you girls. Also, we should come here next time for PJs for both Adagio and Aria." "Oh, poop. We forgot about that. We won't mind wearing the PJs we have, even though they are pretty dirty," said Adagio. "If they're dirty, I'll wash them. I have a washing machine." "Thanks, Jack. Let's cleaned them when we get home." "I'll also play The Princess Bride for you girls, while I cook dinner later." "Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that. Let's do that later," said Adagio, as the four of us walked out of the mall. "What a day," I thought to myself. > Chit Chat > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "How many times is this guy gonna say 'inconceivable'?" asks Sonata. "I don't mind it," said Adagio, "I find it funny when he says it." "I as well," agreed Aria. "Here you go, girls," I said, as I handed them their dinner of pasta. "Thanks, Jackie," said Sonata, as she and the girls grabbed ahold of the plates from within my arms. "Thank you, Jack," said Adagio, as she began to twirl her pasta. "Thanks, I guess," said Aria, as she began to twirl her pasta, as well. I sat down with the girls and ate along with them, while watching more of Princess Bride. "This is delicious," said Adagio, "you're quite a cook." "Thanks, Adagio." "He's awesome, isn't he?" said Sonata, as she brought another forkful of pasta. "He really is," said Aria, "he's… a nice guy." "Thanks Aria," I said giving her a smile. Aria looked away from me with a blush. "Whatever," said Aria, as she took another bite of her pasta. I smiled at Sonata and we then looked back to the film. 9:21 PM Sonata gave out a stretch, as the film came to an end. "I'm getting sleepy," said Sonata. "Here," I said, as I stood up and grabbed ahold of her plate, "I'll put these away." "Can you get ours?" ask Aria, as she and Adagio held their plates to me. "Sure," I said with a smile, as I stacked their plates over Sonata's and mines. "Thank you, Jack," said the girls, as I headed into the kitchen. "Your welcome." I placed the dishes into the dishwasher and pressed the start button. As I came back into the living room, the girls stood up and gave out a stretch. "Jackie, we're going to bed," said Sonata, as she stretched out her arms. "We're gettin' tired," said Adagio. "That movie was actually better than I thought though," said Aria, as she scratched her head. "Glad you girls liked it. I hope you have a good nights rest," I said with a smile, as I gave them a group hug. "Good night, Jack," said the girls, as they broke the hug and walked to their rooms. "Good night." After the girls closed their doors, I stretched and headed towards the table and sat down. "I now gotta do my bills," I said to myself, as I began opening letters and doing math. 9:50 PM I sat on the table with the light above me still on and continued doing my bills. "Damn, I used too much money for these girls," I said to myself, as I finished my calculations, "I'll have to stop buying them stuff and start saving." Suddenly, I heard a door open from the hallway, along with the sounds of footsteps. "Who's there?" I asked. "It's me, Adagio," said Adagio, as she got closer to the light. "What's wrong? do you want some water?" I asked. "No, that's not it… do you mind if I talk to you?" "Sure," I said, as I turned off my calculator and pulled away the bills. Adagio sat down beside me and was fidgeting her fingers. "May I ask about something?" asks Adagio. "Tell me. I'm open ears." "Did you and Sonata… love one another?" "Huh? What was that?" Adagio's face went bright red. "Do you and Sonata love each other?" "Oh… well… is that bad?" "No… I'm just curious." I was too nervous to answer her question, but… "Yes… yes I do. I've been in love with her since you girls came to the school," I replied. "Really? You love Sonata?" said Adagio with surprise. "I do." Adagio had a funny grin upon her face. "That's sweet. Aria and I were absolutely right," said Adagio with a giggle. "Have you two been observing us during the mall?" "We have and you two make a cute couple. Since when did you fell for her?" "I fell in love with her since the day you three came to Canterlot High." Adagio quietly squealed and fangirled. "D'awww, tis love I say," said Adagio. "You could say that," I said with a blush. "Since I'm noticing because of your bills, that we can't get anymore clothes?" "You girls made me spend a lot of money. Why do you ask?" "I've been thinking that you and Sonata should go on a date." "A date? Just me and her?" Adagio nods "You two need to go on a date. You have my permission." "Thanks Adagio, but what should I do on this date?" Adagio gave me a funny look and came up to my ear. "Listen to what I have to tell you and she'll. be. yours." My face went red. "T-t-tell me what to do when this date happens," I ask, as Adagio leaned back to her chair. "You have a lot to win to a girls heart," said Adagio with a smile, "Listen carefully." > The Date > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Five weeks have passed and I've been secretly saving up my money for Sonata and I to go on a date. After listening to Adagio's advice five weeks ago, I think I'm ready to do this. As Sonata and Aria stood in the living room watching Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Adagio has been helping me look ready for my date. The time is 1:21 PM. "You sure do look handsome," said Adagio, as she dusted off my right shoulder of my leather jacket, "you look like a less dorky version of that guy from that old TV series we saw four days ago." "Are you talking about the guy that goes 'ayyy'," I said, as I gave her the thumbs up. "Ha! Ha! Yes, that's the guy," said Adagio, as she and I began to laugh from my impression. "His name is the Fonz and the show was Happy Days," I explained. "Oh! Thanks," said Adagio with a smile, "now let me do your hair." She grabs ahold of my brush and starts combing it to the side. "You're gonna make our Sonata a very happy siren," said Adagio, as she continued to comb my hair, "please take care of her." "I promise you, I'll make sure to take very care of her," I replied, as Adagio finished my hair. "You're a sweet guy, Jack. I can trust you," said Adagio with a smile, "now go get Sonata and Aria and bring them to me." "Will do," I said, as I stood up and walked out of my room. I came into the living room and both Aria and Sonata gave me a surprised look. "My, Jack," said Aria, "you sure do look handsome." Sonata got up and came up to me with that same expression and touched my face. "Wow, you're really handsome," said Sonata. "Thanks, Sonie," I said with a blush, "well, Adagio wants you two in my room." "Okay, we'll be back," said Sonata, as she patted my shoulder, "I'm excited for this date." Sonata skips towards my room, as Aria stood up and walks past me to follow Sonata. The door shuts, as I sit down and watch where Aria and Sonata have left off. 10 Minutes Later... "We're coming out, Jack," announced Adagio, as I turned off the TV and stood up straight. I heard footsteps and from the hallway came Sonata. She was absolutely beautiful. She had her scrunch taken off to let all of her hair down, she wore make up on her face, her eyes sparkled like gems, and she wore an Redbone T-shirt along with blue jeans. "What do think of her, Jack?" asked Adagio, as she and Aria came in from behind Sonata. "Sonie… you look… beautiful," I said, as I walked up to her. "Thanks, Jack," said Sonata with a blush. "You ready?" I ask, as I walked up to the counter and grabbed my things. "I sure am," said Sonata with a smile. Sonata comes up to me and holds onto my arm. I look over to Adagio and Aria who were giving me funny grins. "Let's get going, Sonie," I said, as Sonata and I headed out the door. "Have a good date you two lovebirds," said Aria and Adagio before I closed the door. "You buckled in, Sonie?" I ask, as I placed in my seatbelt. "I sure am," said Sonata, as she gave me a smile. "Here, play a song," I said, as I handed her my phone. She grabs my phone and looks around my music. She then pressed the one that was on her shirt. "Perfect choice," I said, as I placed the key in the ignition and backed up, "where would you like to go, Sonie?" "Could you take me to get a milkshake?" "Anything for you, Sonie," I said with a smile, as I drove on out. "Hey! Jackie! You were a good singer during the dance!" said Pinkie, as Sonata and I took our seats. "Thanks, Pinkie," I said with a smile. "It's also good to see you too, Teresa," said Pinkie, as she looked over towards Sonata. "Good to see you too, Pinkie," said Sonata. "So what would you two lovebirds like to have?" "We'll be sharing a shake," I said, as Pinkie writes down our order. "Sure thing, coming right up," said Pinkie, as she walks away. Sonata and I stood there quiet for about fifteen seconds until I had to break the ice. "So… would you like to go to the arcade after this?" "I would love to," said Sonata with such a cute smile. "And possibly tonight…How about a boat ride?" "A boat ride? At night?" said Sonata with a cocked eyebrow. "Don't worry about it being too dark. The full moon will be out tonight and there'll be other people like you and me." "Really? Then yes," said Sonata, as she gave me a tight hug. "Here you go you two," said Pinkie, as she walked over to our table and placed down a milkshake with two straws in for Sonata and I, "enjoy." "Thanks, Pinkie," I said, as Sonata and I immediately broke the hug. "See ya," said Pinkie before moving to another table. The two of us grabbed our straws and placed them into the shake. The both of us reeled our heads down and accidentally bumped heads. "Ow!" said Sonata, as she rubbed the part of her head where we bumped. "Sorry," I said, as I did the same. We had an awkward silent moment, until yet again, I break the ice by saying: "You taste it first." "Okay," said Sonata, as she placed her lips around her straw and sucked in a little of the shake, "Mm, this tastes good." "Glad you like it. May I-" I was cut off, as Sonata sucked in a little more shake in a quicker pace, "Sonie, don't drink too fast." "Why? Is something-ugh!" She places her hands on her forehead, having a total brain freeze. "Brain freeze, is why." "It hurts a bit." "Think warm thoughts; it makes you feel better." There was a moment of silence and Sonata places her hands to the table. "Wow…it worked. Thanks Jackie," she said, as she hugged me. "May we continue having our shake?" "Absolutely," she said, as we got our straws and drank away. "That was a good drink," said Sonata, as we both leave the establishment, "can we come here again soon?" "Of course we can," I said, as I ruffled her hair. "Can we now head for the arcade?" "As you wish, Sonie," I said, as I gave her a kiss on the forehead. The two of us climbed into the car and drove away to the arcade, where as we got there, was not as crowded. I haven't been to this arcade in such a long while that I can't remember where the games I like are. However, it will be fun for Sonata and I. I got us a cup of coins and walked into the gaming room, which was full of teenagers and kids playing the usual, like Pacman, Tetris, Megaman, etc. "Wow is this place amazing!" she said, as she squealed like a child, "can we do that game there?" She pointed towards the game Dance Dance Revolution, which is so old school; I don't know anyone that still has that game now a days. "Sure," I said, as the both of us came to the platform and placed in four coins. "Pick a song," said the machine, as it gave us options. "Oh! Jackie! Pick that one!" said Sonata, as she pointed to one that I never knew was there. "Smoke on The Water by Eddie? That's bizarre, but let's do it," I said, as I chose the song. Sonata and I got in place and got ready. "You know how to do this, right?" I asked. "I totally get it," she said before the music began to play. As the song ended, Sonata and I caught our breath. "You're pretty good, Sonie." "You too. One more?" "Sure," I said, as I pulled up the cup filled with our coins and put four more of them into the machine. We flipped around through the music and were getting bad results. "Meh, these songs look bad," I said, as I continued to flip through. "Oh! Pick that one! The one with the girl with two ponytails!" she squealed, as I moved to the one she saw. "Levan Polka? Hatsune Miku? If only Blake was here," I said to myself, "okay, let's do it." I chased the song and Sonata and I went into our get ready stance. "Ready, Sonie?" "I was born ready." The song comes on, showing Hatsune Miku and all of her glory. "Blake is gonna be jealous," I thought to myself. As the song came to an end, Sonie and I panted more than before. This song was touch than the one before. "Phew! That was tough," I said, as I wiped a bead of sweat away from my forehead. "Totally," she said, as she and I leave the station. "What now?" I asked. "How about Mortal Kombat?" "You sure?" "I'm used to violence. Not to mention that you showed me Parasyte FYI," she said, giving me a nudge at my shoulder. "Alright then," I said, as she and I made it to the game and plopped in two coins for each of us. "Choose you character," said the game, as Sonata and I flipped through the characters. "I'll be this character," she said, as she chased Sheeva. "Then I'll be Liu Kang," I said, as I chased the character. The game gets ready, until our characters were showed on the screen. "Round one: FIGHT!" said the game, as Sonata and I began to fight one another. "Take that!" she said, as she button mashes the buttons, giving me deadly punches. "Luckily, I'm blocking," I said, as I was already in block mode. "You're gonna have to hit me at some point," she said, as she continued kitting my character. "Wait for it," I thought to myself, "now!" I broke her attacks and began giving her deadly blows. She eventually counter attacks me, giving me more punches than I could. "Your finished!" she said, as she gave me the final blow. "Sheeva: wins," said the game, as it got us ready for the second round, "Round two: FIGHT!" I attacked first and I gave it all my might. "You better do something, Sonie," I said, as she then began to counter attack my attacks. "Like that?" she taunts, "I can beat you!" She may have though like that, but in the end, I gave her my uppercut, which makes her character fall. "Liu Kang: wins," said the game. "Top that," I taunted back. "Oh! It.Is.On!" she said, putting on her game face for the final round. "Sure you can," I said. "Final round: FIGHT!" Sonata and I bashed away at the game, until- "BOOYA!" she shouts, knocking my character out cold. "Sheeva: wins," said the game before the game was over. "Top that, Mister," she said, nudging me on my other shoulder. "Okay. Okay. You win. Don't rub it in my face," I said, trying to calm her down. "Next?" she asked. I smiled and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "Let's go get some pizza," I said, as she and I left passed through the games and towards the food court. The day went by so quickly, as Sonata and I continued having our fun through the arcade. We played many games, won many prizes and enjoyed the food. "Man, this was a fun day, Jackie," said Sonie, as she and I left the arcade and looked over to the setting sun in the distance, "Wow…beautiful…it…reminds me of…home…" I let her have a moment, as she stared off out at the beach which was two miles away from where we were. "You ready for that boat ride?" I asked, as I held up our prizes such as, a large teddy bear, a stuff whale, a bag of candy, a robot figurine and two stuffed fishes for Aria and Adagio. "Whenever you are, Jackie," she said with a smile. I smiled back, as the two of us walked towards the parking lot. As the two made it to the lake, it was getting dark and the sun has been down for the past thirty minutes. The stars began to glow, as she and I walked up to the station. "Hello Sir," said the man at the station, "how may I help you?" "We'd like a night stroll on a boat for the night," I asked. "Really? Is it for your girlfriend, lover boy?" he said teasingly. "It is," I said with a chuckle. "Okay then, that'll be thirty dollars," he said, as I handed him the money, "Okay then, sit at that bench over there and we'll get you two ready for your romantic night." Sonata and I sat at the bench, where the stars began to shine over us. "Wow," said Sonie, as she looked around the starry skies, "very pretty." "Oh! Sonie, you see that group of stars?" I said, as I pointed towards the constellation. "Oh! I see it," she says, as she points to what I see. "Do you see the shape that they make?" She squints her eyes to get a good picture of it: "It…looks like a…dragon?" "You are right, Sonie. Those are the stars of Draco. My favorite constellation of all time." The two of us snuggled against one another, until we heard an announcement. "Boat for the two love birds," said the announcement, as Sonata and I got up and headed towards the dock. As we got there, there was a small wooden boat with two paddles, along with a small lamp in the middle. "Hop onboard," I said, as I held onto Sonata's hand, as she gets into the boat. "Thank you, Jackie," she said, as she sat down. "Hang on," I said, as I gripped onto the paddles and began pushing forward, as we became afloat. It was very peaceful around here at night; the only sounds that were out are the sounds of crickets, the lake itself and Sonata humming a soft tune. The only lights were the lamp in the middle of our boat and the full brightness of the moon. "How are you liking this so far, Sonie?" I asked. "It's…Romantic," she said with a blush. "Sonie…Can I ask you something?" "Yes?" "Would you and your sisters…Like to move in with me?" "You mean…We can stay?" "We can all pitch in, you girls can get jobs, help me pay the rent and we can all live like one happy family." "You mean it?" "Absolutely. Sonie, I love you and I want you and your sisters to live in an comfortable home." Sonata crawled over to me, making me stop my paddling. She rushed towards my face and planted her lips upon mine. We were in the position for five seconds, until she reeled her head back. "You are the best human I will ever know, Jack. You are kind and thoughtful to us." "Thanks Sonie." "I love you, Jackie." "I love you too," I said, as we nuzzled our noses together. Suddenly, we broke our love scene from the sound of music playing in the background: "Well…That was unexpected," I said, as she and I chuckled. "Let's enjoy the song," she said, as she sat back down across from me. I continued to paddle along the lake and decided to take a left for a loop back to the docks. As we did, suddenly out of nowhere, glowing lights were spotted along the tall grass near the water. The song became obvious that it wanted us to kiss again; which we did. "This is amazing," she said, as she looked around the lake, "It's magical." "Very." "Jackie?" "Yes?" "Do you think we can do this again?" "Of course, my love," I said, as I continue to paddle forward. "Also, do you think Aria and Adagio might disagree to our decision?" "I doubt it." She smiled and reeled back up to me for another kiss. "May our love never die." "I'm with you all the way," I said, as she sat on my lap and the both of us paddled away along the lake. THE END~
