> Chapter 1: The Unexpected "Visit"

"Uhm hello is this thing on? Tap Tap Oh! Ok there it is. Hello creatures from the outer world (Or in this case readers), I am Screecher the lovable hero from which you all may recognize along side with my sidekick Zap. Unfortunately, Zap won't be here to start off the story because he's have some issues so I'll be his replacement so sit back, pull out a popcorn, and relax because this is going to be a long one. E-Ehem, where to start? Oh yes! Just after we defeated that crazy loon Ashtrail drowning him in a pool filled with dark magic we found so old stupid door and that key to it. Once we unlocked it, the door slowly opened and guess what we found? Come on guess guess...  A frinking giant scrap metal and a some soft of giant old ring with weird writing around it! Yeah, quite a "great" reward for two brave hero WHO save the our homeland from some insane drake like pony! Anyway, a month has passed since then. Why a month? Hey, heroes deserve breaks right? Also sigh... A week ago Life Saver died of an illness and Zap was very devastated since then. A week later we decided to try out the two prehistoric junk we found. So that's where our story begins.."

Outside uncles' hut

It was another warm clear sky afternoon in South Village as the two heroes Zap and Screecher were sitting beside the strange metal object while Tinker observed it figuring how the machine would work and her father studied the huge ring searching through his books trying to figure what it could be. Zap on the other hoof was still depressed after the lost of Life Saver. He stared at the grass as he lets out a sigh, Screecher looked over sighed as well before gently patting his back.

"Hey come on cheer up now Zap. I understand how devastating it is for you to loose somepony that you cared and loved."

He said, Zap only lets out another sigh in response. Tinker flew over to them as the two turned their attention towards her.

"Well guys from what my calculation, its pretty much a ordinary transport but with only two buttons. Its a bit odd to find this lock up behind that door.. And why we were fascinated by it."

She explained before letting out a sigh then shrugged. Her father walked over towards the three before scratching the back of his skull.

"I've tried looking through my books about ancient artifacts and relics. Its indeed an artifact but I can't seem to find what it is really in any of my books. Its probably not best to see what or how it works."

He said.

"Well maybe I don't know but maybe this transport might be able to interact with that. I mean what purpose would it be locked up as well?"

She said.

"W-Well maybe, but I can't take any risk. Nopony EVER touches that transport, understand?"

Tinker sighed nodding in response. Screecher rolled his eyes.

"Yeah whatever Papa Smurf. We'll just let it sit here and collect dust."

He said before snickering as the uncle rolled his eyes to his "jokes".

"And speaking of dust, you should be cleaning up my hut! And don't forget the corners!"

The uncle said as he tossed a broom and a dustpan to Screecher, he grumbled before stomping inside the hut.

"Tinker, just continue on that little project of yours."

He said, Tinkers lets out a sigh nodding before flew over to her workshop. He then looked at Zap frowned faintly.

"And Zap.. I know how hard it is to loose somepony you love, especially Life Saver and... Your mother. What make it worst  is they both died of a deadly illness."

Zap lets out another sigh but sounding  more deep and depressed as his uncle shook his head.

"B-But what I'm trying to say is, even after one tragic incident somehow, somewhere, you'll find love again. Maybe not today, not tomorrow, not next week, nor this mouth but soon. You'll find love again just don't give up hope my boy, ok?"

His uncle said, Zap slowly raised his head facing him before slowly nod. His uncle grown a faint smile as he gently patted his back.

"Good good, now I have go pick up a few things for that hut. I need you to watch over the hut while I'm gone, do you think you can do that?"

Zap expression changed from depression to default before slowly nodding in response. His uncle smiled gave him one last pat on the back before trotting down towards the village.  Once his uncle was out of sight Zap turned his attention towards the transport scratched his chin thinking for a moment.

Meanwhile inside the hut

Screecher himself was sweeping, dusting, washing, etc through the conversation between Zap and his uncle. He was continuously grumbling to himself and complained about his "slave labor". In case if you don't get before both their adventure began in their time at the age of possibly nine or ten Screecher accidentally broke something VERY valuable belonging to Zap uncle. So in order to play him back, he has to do a certain amount of years worth of works. Tinker was working with a pair of brown boots with some wiring  around it. Screecher lets out a groan dropping his broom and dust pan, Tinker rolled her eyes looked at Screecher watching him pout.

"Seriously Screecher? You been doing this for almost half a decade and you're still pouting about this is "Slave Labor" Even though this is what my father thought that can repay the damage you made."

She said, Screecher stomped his paws a few times before staring at her with a furious expression.

"And all for what?! Because I broke his STUPID EGG COLLECTION?!"

He yelled while hopping in mid air.

"They were priceless eggs and are VERY rare and expensive. You either had to agree to it or he'll tell on your parents which I guess they'll punish you so badly enough to make agree to this from the start."

She explained, Screecher rolled his eyes in response taking few steps towards her.

"Whatever. So whatcha working on nuts n' bolts?"

Tinker rolled her eyes.

"Y'know that insult isn't even comical, if you really trying to be a comedian in that rate then you'll end up getting tomatoes thrown towards your face.  But to answer your question, as you can see I'm working on a--"

She was cut off by a huge flash of light that leaded towards the massive ring. The two quickly trotting outside as they stared at it as it had formed vortex in the center. Tinker turned her attention slowly towards the transport as her eyes widen seeing that Zap was sitting down inside. He turned his head towards the smaller red button beside the other but larger button. Zap raised his hoof leaning it toward the button as his cousin dashed towards screaming out his name attempting to get his attention to stop him but it was too late. Zap has his attention turned towards her but he had already pressed it. Tinker stop at a short distant from the transport before shouting.

"Zap quickly get off before it takes off!!"

Zap quickly stood up but was too late to react quickly. As the transport was launched towards the vortex in a blink of an eye Zap was already gone. Just right after he went through, the vortex vanished. The portal itself slowly break apart as its remains fell into the ocean. Tinker eyes  went complete widen as tears slowly formed before covering her eyes sobbing. Screecher stood beside her before falling to his knees.

"ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!"

Canterlot High

June 15th, 2:30PM. It was another lovely summer afternoon for Canterlot High. The breeze of the wind was just nice and cooling, the temperature slightly hot making a perfect day to go to the beach because it was the end of the school year for the students, teacher and staffs. Just at soon as the bell rang all the students out the exit like it was black friday minus the few shoppers being trampled to death. Once the ever student charged out, Sunset Shimmer came out last behind the group thinking to herself trying to remember what she may have forgotten. 

"Now what could I be forgetting?... Oh yes!"

She she quickly dashed back inside the school heading towards her locker. She opens her door letting out a sigh in relief as she pulled out her journal. She walked back outside but only stop after the step off the last steps noticing something strange happening to the mirror as it slowly surged. She slowly take a few steps before stopping as the mirror surged rapidly forming a portal. Her eyes began to widen slowly back away.

"Please don't tell me that could be what I think it is?!"

The portal continuously surged then slowly glowed brighter and brighter every second until a strange figure was launched out having to smash through the glass doors before causing a loud thud inside. Sunset blinked for a bit shook her head before she ran back inside to investigate to see if her hunch was right that it could be another evil being from Equestria that hungered for the magic that was brought from Twilight a some time ago. She creep towards what is now a large crater on the wall. The dust slowly cleared up and what she saw what not what she had expected. It wasn't some humanoid creature that would seem menacing or maybe that may look so friendly but it can cause allot of mayhem then what it looks (Its a true fact) but instead from what she saw was just an unconscious teenage boy was wearing a blue leather tunic and wore soft blue fabric pants. He had bandages wrap around both arms and palms but he had no socks or shoes. But in his left had was a metal hollow bar, Sunset crotch down observing him for a bit then noticed he was wearing a sapphire carved into a lightning bolt attached to a string around his neck. She picked the gemstone up a bit getting closer look at it when suddenly a faint groaning could be heard closely by her but then noticed the body was twitching. She slowly turned her head towards his head as it shook side to side, raising his left are dropping the bar to rub his forehead. Sunset lets out a faint gasp held on to the gemstone as she quickly stood back up as the string snapped off easily since it was quite old. The lightly red toned male slowly tried to stand up but collapsed. Sunset blinked for a moment putting his necklace in her jacket pocket just as soon he tried to stand up again she quickly wrap around his arm helping him up. He was able to stand up but his legs were wobbling a bit but still stable none or less as he placed his hand over his left eye groaning still. Sunset stared at him with a concern expression still wondering if he may or may not be whom or what she though of him as. She lets out a faint sigh dropping the assumption for now.

"U-Uhm sir are you... O-Okay?"

She said quietly, the male teenager groans slowly fade as his uncovered eye began to open. He rolled his eye around observing his surroundings  before his eye widens uncovering the other growing a shocked and scared expression.

"S-Sir?.."

She asked again, he instantly froze slowly turning his head towards her staring directly at her eyes for one second before he immediately freaked out collapsed again landing his rear letting out a groan. Sunset Immediately help him out again this time making sure he stood still as he dusted himself off but stop to stare at his palms as his eyes widen again and slowly lowered his jaws as he was about to let off a scream.

"N-Now now sir. There's not need to pan--"

"WHUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!"

"P-Panic..."

His screams echoed through the whole school as he was panting heavily and loudly. Sunset looked around left and right attempting to calm him down.

"Sir sir! Just relax now there no need to pan--"

"HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF FUCK!!??!"

"W-Whoa whoa whoa! Theirs no need for that type of language! Now just calm down first!"

He panted heavily before his pants slowly calmed as takes on deep breath and exhale as he looked back at her.

"A-Alright, I'm calm now.."

"Great, now who are you? Did you came from the mirror back in Equestria and why are you here?"

He stared at her completely lost and confused towards her second question.

"E-Equestria what? Is that some type RPG video game or something?"

She lets out a faint sigh.

"I'll take that as you're not from Equestria. But how did you get here even and why?"

The young teenage male lets out a sigh clearing his throat before speaking.

"From some ancient portal that we've found lock up behind some old door. It came with the transport, which was destroyed during the travel through some.. Place I don't know what its called I don't know, not a stallion or whatever I am now that knows science."

He said before letting out a groan, Sunset raised an eyebrow still a bit confused.

"R-Right.. But who are you? And where do you come from even?"

"O-Oh right! Well, my name is.."

"ZAP STORMWING!!!"

A shout was heard coming from outside as they turned towards seeing four strange figure. Three were equally eight feet tall black scales were visible on their arms and face as well as their small dagger like teeth with red slit eyes all were wearing dark blue colored armor and carrying rifles. The other figure was wearing the armor like the three but wasn't reptile-like and was only equally the same height as Zap. He did had teeth showing but were more like fangs, his ears were not humans or primates but resemble much like a batponies ears as well as his slit dark blue eyes.  Once they stopped at a two feet distant from the two before the three giant reptilian humanoid aimed their rifles towards them. Both their eyes thinned, Sunset slowly raised her hands up faintly now seeing that the threat she thought was already here. Zap stood behind her stared at them with a glare as the batpony like humanoid lets out a chuckle walking towards it.

"Trying to be the hero now, ey Zap? Now then we're only here for YOU but then the flame haired girl would do as a bonus. After all, theirs plenty of cells to go around from we're taking you two."

He laughed, Zap frowned letting out a faint huff in response before going into thought.

"So, we can do this the easy way or the hard way! I much prefer to do the easy way, rather then wasting two bodies making a mess all over the place."

The batpony humanoid pulled out a small tranquilizer gun aim towards Zap forehead growing a smirk.

"Now are you going to come without resistance? Or do we have force you to?"

Sunsets' heart was beating faster when she saw the guns as she gulped faintly.

"O-Ok uhm.. T-There must be a misunderstanding h-here officers?.."

She stuttered, as he turned his attention towards her letting out a chuckle.

"Officers huh? Hmph,  even if we were these "officers" then we would be asking, is everything alright? Hmm, how about we start off with you."

He aimed his  tranquilizer towards her instead wrapping his pointer finger firmly around the trigger. Sunset quickly closed her eyes tightly preparing for the worst. But she didn't hear the gun fire but heard loud yelps, screams, and thuds. She slowly opened one eye and she saw was the three giant armor figures were lying down unconscious and the dark batpony humanoid was knocked across five feet away from them. She now opens her other eye looked around the unconscious and bruised "men" before she stared at Zap as he was panting gently.

"T-Thank you Z-Zap Stormwing?.."

He turned around rolling his eyes before he looked back at her.

"Just call me Zap and Recently, its what I do."

"Right, he said they were after you. Why were they?"

She asked before Zap lets out a sigh.

"To be honest, I'm not for sure who they are and why. But the symbols on their chest plates they look.. Familiar to me.."

She blinked stared towards one of them noticing there was a dark blue star in the center.

"They almost look like.. T-Twilights'  cutiemark.."

"Who?.."

He stared at her in confusion.

"O-Oh, just a friend of mine!"

"Hmm, well the symbol you see belong to some evil "spirit" that ponies where I came from tell as a spooky campfire story. I believe it was called..."

"The Dark Queen!"

Both their eyebrows raised up faintly quickly turned towards as they saw a ten foot large figure with black scales, with a tail a dragon like head standing out side walking towards them carrying s rifle.

"Pleasure in meeting you  at last Zap or should I say, Subject number 209!"

He raised his rifle aim towards Zap chest quickly fired a mechanical dark. Once is made impact it began sending painful shocks as it screamed in pain before he collapsed, his body was still twitching from the shock as Sunset lets out a gasp back a few steps staring down at his unconscious body. The drake like figure walked inside letting out a laugh picking him up by his feet hanging him up side down.

"Hmph, have to everything myself. Soldiers! One your feet!"

He shouted, the three guards groaned before immediately stood back up.

"Yes sir Baron Dark Dragon sir!"

All three said, the batpony humanoid groaned rubbing his forehead as Dark Dragon stared down with a pissed off expression.

"Commander Shadow Wing! You had one job. ONE. JOB."

Shadow Wing grunted standing back up, picking is tranquilizer up.

"Yes Baron Dark Dragon, but what about her?"

He pointed at Sunset as Dark Dragon stared letting out a huff.

"Leave her, it is him we're after!"

He pulled out a small controller with only one button, as he pushed a portal behind Shadow Wing was formed.

"Lets head back to the ship, and begin the "project" once the machine is complete."

All except Shadow Wing walked through the portal as he stared at Sunset with a snicker.

"Y'know what they say. What happens in Canterlot High, stays in Canterlot high~."

He chuckled before entering the portal as it vanished. Sunset placed her hand where her heart is, beating fast after experiencing a terrifying event even though she had experience two tragic events, but seeing humanoids with actual weapons and threatening to take you away as their prisoners or worst shot you down on gun point, this was indeed the worst she had faced so far. She pulled out the necklace that he wore, stared at it. She lets out a sigh in sorrow getting concern and worried for Zap wondering what they planned to do to them their project Dark Dragon mention before they departed. She formed a sad expression closing her eyes stippling the necklace back in her pocket ran outside head straight to her house.
 

 

 






 
> Chapter 2: The Rise of Dark Lightning Zap

Two Years Later: In Baron Dark Dragons' Flying Fortress
It is now March 11th, 3:00AM. For over the past two years Zap imprison by Baron Dark Dragon in his flying fortress along with several hundred soldier that were capture during a war. For over those years Dark Dragon have conducting "experiments" on Zap by injecting him with amounts of Dark Magic and today was going to be Zap very last injection but each time preformed the same experiment, it results to no change. Both Dark Dragon and Shadow Wing had Zaps' arms and legs strapped against a table before they pumped in electrical streams of dark magic into him causing him to scream in pain and agony for the past three hours since midnight. After those hours the injection was complete as the machine spoke out the results.

"Dark Magic injection is complete. Subject #209  bio reading normal and unchanged."

Dark Dragon let out a grunt in frustration.

"Still nothing, over the past years still the same results! I was told that he might be different!"

He snarled, Shadow Wing scratched his chin impressed that over the years he managed to be still alive from the amounts of injections.

"It's a surprise he still alive after all your experiments Baron, I'm afraid "Project: Dark Lightning Warrior" has failed."

Dark Dragon lets out a groan grabbed Zap by the hair glared at him.

"You should AT LEAST be dead with all the dark magic I've pumped into you!" 

"What now Dark Dragon? Without a new weapon how can we manage to take out both our foes?"

Dark Dragon let out a deep growl.

"I will not go another year serving for that ROYAL BRAT!! Move forward with the final plan! And finish off this worthless flesh tonight."

He exclaimed  Shadow Wing nodded in response before he left the room.

"As you wish. I'll be back Later, Zap."

He glared at him before following Dark Dragon out the room. Once the door was closed, it was nothing pure silence but beeping sounds coming from the contraption but just pure silence... But only for a few seconds. Zap began to twitch rapidly groaning louder and louder, his body began surge but instead the surge were black instead of blue. His nails on his fingers and toes began to grown longer forming into claws. His skin slowly turned grey, his now flatten hair turned black as well. His sclera were slowly turned black, his iris  turned red. His groans slowly avert to growls as multiple streams of black surges were bolted every where, having to destroy  the contraption and every machines in the room leaving nothing but sparks and piles of scrap metal. The metal cuffs that were strapped to his arms and legs were easily torn off due to his brute strength. Meanwhile outside the lab their were two reptilian guards standing behind the entrance that surprisingly didn't notice or heard any sounds coming from the lab as they were just chatting

"Sooo, did you hear the recent dark mutant attack that happened at the Waterworks?"

"Oh yeah, took out some of the worthless rebels."

"Yeah. So going to see the big ra--"

The guard let out a shriek as the the other eyes thinned. The guard had a fist punch through between his small and large intestines. Once the fist pulled away,the guard collapsed as a pool of blood slowly began to form. The other guard stared at the corpse in shock as the door forcefully torn off landing on top of the corpse, the guard quickly aimed his rifle once Zap was in clear sight. His body was shaking faintly as he pulled out a walkie talkie  turning it on, Zap stared at him with a deep chuckle before sniffled.

"Do I smell fear? Or did someone just soiled themselves?"

He snickered with an evil smirk, the guard spoke into his walkie talkie but stuttered.

"C-Code r-red! S-Subject #209 h-has escaped the lab! I-It repeat! CODE Re--"

Zap held on to his skull, gripping tightly before snickering.

"Have a.. Shock-tacular day!"

"T-That was horrible!"

The guard muffled loudly.

"Well do not care!"

Zap emitted dark electrical surges towards the guards' skull and body. His  slowly melted before Zap forcefully kicked his body while held on to his skull causing to rip his skull and spinal cords out as blood began gushing out. Zap easily crushed his skull picking the guards' rifle.

"Well I guess he won't be needing this laser rifle."

Electrical surges formed around the  laser rifle, it surged faster and faster before began morphing altering the power source it required  to fire, changing some of the dark blue metal plates into dark purple with even black lightning bolts painting all over, Zap blinked staring at his "new" gun.

"Hmm, this a new yet strange. But I love it!"

The alarm went off through out the entire fortress, the speakers shout out "Alert! Prisoner escaping! All troops find and kill the escape fugitive!". Zap scratched he head groaning.

"Well  better find away out quickly! Mind as well take this rifle in case."

He dashed off down the hallway making few turns along the way, he then reach a large room filled with hundreds of cells with a few "prisoners" inside each cell. He looked around for a bit as his ears twitched hearing multiple footsteps, dozens of reptilian guards all can running towards him stopping at ten feet away from him aiming their rifles as well, one of them yelled.

"Subject #209 you are under arrest! Drop your weapon and get on your knees with your hands on your head!"

Zap snickered.

"You want me to drop my weapon? Fine."

He tossed his rifles a couple feet away as he smirked. One of the guards pulled out a pistol aimed towards his head walked towards him, one he gotten to a very close distant Zap grabbed the arm where he held the pistol forcefully rip right off as large amount of blood poor out as the guard screamed in pain. Zap grabbed the gun firing a bullet towards the screaming guards head as the body collapsed. Every guard gasped as one of them shouted "Fire!" before they all did but just like storm troopers.. They're the worst shooters. Zap let out a yawned raised his gun shooting at each and every guard before theirs nothing but a giant puddle of blood and corpses lying down. Zap walked over the corpses tossing the pistol away. Time consistently passed he had been walking down hallway by hallway  slashing and tearing apart any guards that cross his path. He stood in front of a wall staring  at the map trying to figure where to go. He scratched his chin observing the map of every hallway, rooms, and elevators. He then placed his pointer claw on one of the elevators.

"This one seems to lead to the deck of the ship. Luckily it just right around the corner... How fortunate." 

He proceeded, once he reached the elevator it was already active as the door slowly opened revealing three batpony humanoid guards as they were chatting before stopped and stared at him, Zap snickered deeply.

"Mind if I squeeze right in?"

He walked in nudging them through turning around.

"Let see going up!"

He pressed a button as the door closed back on loud screaming, flesh being torn apart, and blood spattering began before went back to silence. The elevator reached to the deck of the fortress once it opened Zap walk out whistling deeply, the walls covered in blood and bits of organ, the guards were now just a pile of flesh. Zap stared at the cloudy night sky before looking around the deck walking towards the edge staring down only to seen more clouds letting out one deep whistle.

"That looks like to be quite a long jump."

"FREEZE!!"

He raised an eyebrow letting a deep groan turning around seeing multiple guards surrounding him aiming their rifles as Shadow Wing walked towards Zap pointing his pistol towards his head with a chuckle.

"Well then it seems the project did indeed succeed after all! Now dark one, your senseless slaughter is over! Now, any last words?"

He firmly wrapped his finger around the trigger as Zap formed a smirk letting out a snicker.

"Yes, before I go could you tell your mother that she left her panties in my cell!"

His body slowly tilted backward, Shadow Wing lets out a growl pulling the trigger but the bullet already missed as Zap fell off the edge.

Sunset Shimmers' house

It was now Saturday morning 8:00AM, Sunset was beginning to wake after she had another bad dream over her concerns to what might have happened to Zap. There are thing you have to let go over time, but thought she been having over the same thing time are time made it difficult stop thinking about it. It didn't stop her from getting passing grades for her classes but only happens at some point of time whenever she looks at the necklace she had when the last she first met him. She yawned rubbing her eyes letting out a groan before she placed her hand over her forehead jumping out of bed and head towards the bathroom to brush her teeth, hair, shower etc. After awhile she then gets herself dressed walking downstairs to the kitchen but then heard a sudden knocking on her front door. She walk towards slowly turning the knob before opening only to see it was the mailman holding a small package around his left arm, he gave her a faint smile had a faint scared expression. He pulled out a clipboard reading through the names who had ordered a package.

"I-Is this the home resident of S-Sunset Shimmer?"

He said with a faint stuttered as she stared at him confused to what might have spook him.

"Yes, you're at the right address... Is there something wrong?"

"J-Just sign your s-signature here."

He lend her the clipboard and pen his hand was shaking. She slowly grabbed them writing down her signature.

"Are you sure you're ok? You seem to saw something that gotten you like you saw a dead body or something."

"W-Well t-tell that t-to him!"

The mailman pointed towards a blue haired male in a prison uniform that was lying down on her lawn as he took the clipboard and pen ran back into his truck driving off. Her eyes widen as the sight of seeing a dead body just lying there for hours. She slowly walk towards it to check to see if he maybe alive but after carefully studying the body getting a small flashback from two years ago. She placed the side of her head on top of his chest and surprisingly she was able to hear a faint heart beat. She lets out a faint gasp stood back before carefully carried the unconscious lightly red skin male inside lying him on the couch quickly closing the door. She turned and stared at him in shock and disbelief assuming to herself that this isn't whom she think it is but having the same skin tone, same colored hair but in different style had her said other wise. She kept pacing  back and forward for a good few minutes as the male let out a groan Sunset immediately stop to stare at him as he leaned forward a bit rubbing his forehead slowly opening his blue eyes looking around in confusion.

"H-Huh? H-How did I...?"

He paused after turning his head towards Sunset before sitting straight up.

"W-Wait. Have I m-met you before? You look.. F-Familiar somehow, I can't remember well after being imprison for nearly two years."

"Imprison? Two years...?"

She took a moment to think to analyze the detail before going to assume this escape prisoner, could in fact be Zap.

"Could you.. Explain to me every about what you're saying about being imprison?"

"S-Sure, if you can get me a glass of water first. My throat is a bit dry."

She nodded before heading to the kitchen and back with the glass of water. She lend him the glass as he chugged every ounce of it before coughing and clearing his throat taking a deep breath and exhaling.

"Ah that feels so much better."

He lets out a relax sigh before stretching letting out a few groans. Sunset sat down beside him with her hands on top of her lap.

"So could you tell me from beginning to end?"

He looked at her scratched his scalp before rubbing his chin.

"Well ok I'll just summarize it because it is a long story."

He cleared his throat once more.

"Basically I came out of a portal and crashed through some building. Out of no where these guards walked towards me and this flame hair and kinda cute girl--"

He went silent stared dead at her noticing the style of her hair before slowly pointing at her.

"A-Are you that same..?"

He blinked shaking his head before getting another look at her.

"Holy shit you are!"

She groaned before she smack her palm against her face.

"One, watch your language! Two, please continue your story so I can get a clear sense of mind to what is going on."

"O-Oh right! Well you know the beginning but for over two years They have been experimenting me with some sort of dark magic. Trying to turn me into this super weapon of some sort. And all of a sudden, I just blacked out like I can't remember what else happened or what I did to even be free. But the last thing I remembered from what their baron said was he ordered to move forward with a final plan. That is all I have miss."

Sunset let out a sigh now truly knowing her hunch about great evil invading Canterlot high was true.

"Great, another evil threatening our school... Again."

"So this isn't the first time your school been invaded by dark creatures?"

"Allot of crazy stuff has happened in Canterlot high in such short amount of time... Unfortunately." 

He lets out a sigh, Zap only stared not even for sure what to say but gently patted her back as she looked back at him.

"Listen uhm... The beginning was kinda shitty--Err I mean crappy so how about we start all over, starting with knowing each others names."

She faintly smiled at him before raising her head back up.

"O-Ok well for start my name is Sunset Shimmer."

"Ah, that's a nice and fitting name!"

She smiled at him.

"Thank you and what is yours?"

"Oh right! The name is Zap Stormwing but just Call me Zap."

She nodded as the two shake hands, Sunset let out a snicker.

"Also, did you say I was cute?"

"...Eh.."

Zap quickly raised his arms up sniffed his armpit before cringing.

"Ooo uhm is your shower upstairs? Yeah it probably is I'll be down in a moment!"

He quickly ran upstairs to the bathroom, Sunset rolled her eyes with a smile before going into thought about his story.

"Experimenting with dark magic? Final plan? I've got a bad feeling about this..."

She sighed, a sound of running water could be heard coming from upstairs as well as whistling. She turned her head towards the stairs.

"Huh, better head to town to find him something  to wear. And tell the others about this afterwards."

She got up walking outside as she closed and locked her door before heading down town to the nearest clothing shop.



> Chapter 3: A Huge Day For Zap

2 Days later:Sunset Shimmer's house.

It is now March 13th, 7:40AM Sunset stood outside of her house. She looked quite impatient since Zap was still inside for about twenty minutes  getting dress still and having issues getting dress in his new form... still. She had her arms crossed tapping her feet against the sidewalk as she pulled out her phone to see what time is before she let out a groan. After two minutes have passed Zap had finally came outside wearing a white shirt, a dark blue pilot coat with a lightning badge stitched on both side of his arms, he worn blue jeans as well, last he worn a pair of brown boots. He almost looked like he was getting ready for winter, Sunset started to glare at him letting out a groan before the two walked beside each other as she smacked his head gently.

"O-Ooww! What did I do?"

Zap faintly whined.

"We were suppose to leave by 7:20. What were you even doing that took so long?"

"I was still getting dressed and brushed my hair and teeth as well."

"By the time I've head to the door I asked you if you're doing getting ready... It's been twenty minutes since I've asked you that."

"Look it doesn't matter, I'm finally ready and we can head on to Canterlot  High is it?.."

She nod in response to his question.

"Yes, but we have to get you enrolled first. And I'm sure you'll like it allot more then your previous school."

Zap let out a sigh.

"I was never went to a public or any private school even. I was always home schooled by my uncle for nearly the rest of my life."

"Oh.. Guess you had a a great life not having to deal with allot of high school conflict?"

"Well it is better then my previous life style.."

He lets out  another sigh before gently facepalming.

"Hmm?"

She then stared at  him.

"You're saying you had a bad one?"

"More like making like bad for other ponies! Sigh Now, I was never even proud for what I've done in the past.."

"I guess that makes two of us then but lemme guess village trouble maker?"

Zap nodded, rolling his eyes before looking back at her.

"Hmm lemme guess, the school bully?"

"You guest it. Oh, I've forgotten to ask you something!"

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Where are you from and how did you get here?"

"Oh, you asked those questions two years back and I left them unanswered."

She nodded Zap first cleared his throat.

"Well its called Kryo.. Similar to Equestria but environments and animals would never look friendly to you. Their was even a war that raged on for centuries. But the part of Kryo from where I was born, is called the Lightning region."

"A war? Wow, seems like you guys must had quite a hand full."

"Oh we did. Especially Screecher and I when we're eavesdropping on an evil meeting from Graveyard Cove."

"S-Screecher? Screecher Loudmouth?"

His eyes began to thin when she pronounced his first and last name.

"You know him?!"

"Yes, he attended to our school a mouth since you came to this world. He was very obnoxious and rude most often."

"That's certainly the Screecher I knew. Wonder if he got sucked into that portal as well."

"Portal?"

"Oh yes I forget to tell you that part! You see we found this transport and a portal behind some ancient door."

"What happened to the transport?"

"During the travel it was destroyed. The only thing that was left of it, was that metal handlebar."

Sunset scratched her scalp before going into thought while she rubbed her chin.

"Its been such pure hell for those years of being locked up. Can't wait to finally get kinda a break of all of that stuff."

"Be careful what you say, if stay on their good side then I can agree."

"Well it's certainly won't be easy since I don't know how the systems works at your school. So for now you're my guidance in surviving this jungle."

"I don't understand the metaphor from what you said but glad I suppose I can give you a tour of the place once your enrolled."

Zap nodded looking at her again slowly formed a smirk. She stared back at him again faintly cringed.

"Uh, why are you staring at me like that?..."

He quickly grabbed her rubbing his knuckle against her scalp. She groaned, trying to push her out of his grip before Zap loosen his grip just enough to set her free but causing  her to fall backwards having her land on her rear against a lawn as Zap began laughing. She started to glare at him rolling her eyes getting back on her feet.

"Very "funny" Zap.."

She shoved him gently backwards continued walking, Zap rolled his eyes with a smile before following her.

Canterlot High.

After a twenty five minutes of walking and messing around with each other they've finally reach Canterlot High. Every student was beginning to head inside the facility going to their lockers to pull out their materials, chatting to one another while heading down to their classes. Zap gave Sunset one last gentle shove, she shoved him back before the two stopped beside the statue. Zap placed his hands on his waist observing the school while thinking for a moment. All of a sudden a loud high pitch was heard from a close distant shouting Sunset by her full name. The two looked towards where the shouting came as it was Pinkie Pie heading towards them along with the rest of the gang. Zap crossed both his arms rolling his eyes at Sunset with a snicker.

"Lemme guess, girlfriends?~"

"You guest it!"

They all began to group hug Sunset while she hugged them back giggling to each other. After a moment they all began to turned their attention towards Zap when he was staring above the sky zoned out to noticed them. Sunset blinked  before she slip out gave him a gentle nudge getting his attention as she cleared her throat before Pinkie Pie asked them a question that would make it allot more awkward between the two.

"Hey Shimmer, is he like your boyfriend or something?"

Both their eyes thinned look at each other before taking a few steps back away from each other. Zap began whistling awkwardly while scratching his scalp, Sunset facepalmed gently shaking her head in response.

"No Pinkie, we are NOT what you think we are."

She let out a groan as Pinkie smiled awkwardly letting out a chuckle, Applejack rolled her eyes before she stood beside Pinkie.

"What Pinkie here is TRYING to say, who's this fella here?"

Zap shook his head walking towards the two raising his right hand at him offering a handshake.

"The name's Zap Stormwing, but just call me Zap."

Applejack smiled at him shaking his hand causing him to slightly cringe due to her strength.

"Howdy! I'm Applejack."

She let go, Zap began rubbing his hand softly.

"A-And you must be, P-Pinkie?..."

Pinkie Pie grabbed his right hand shaking his arm rapidly up and down causing him to shout out "Ow" multiple times.

"Hi I'm Pinkamena Diane Pie! But just call me Pinkie Pie!"

She let go of his hand, Zap began to groan loudly held his right arm.

"J-Jesus C-Christ could you give this hand a b-break?.."

"Oh sorry!"

He groaned while massaged his hand before cracking his knuckles. Rainbow Dash slowly approached him as the two looked at with one of their eyebrows raised.

"Hmm, lemme guess the competitive one?"

"Psh, close. But NO."

She began to show off how awesome, better, athletic etc. she was, Zap only rolled in response as the two fist bumped each other.

"What you say, Miss. Showoff."

She rolls her eyes while she lets out a huff. Zap rubbed his chin  observing the group.

"Hmm and whom may the rest be?"

He then asked.

"Rarity."

"Twilight Sparkle."

"..."

Zap looked towards the shy pink haired teenage girl.

"And yours?.."

She spoke in a very soft quiet voice but was difficult to even understand what she said. Zap cringed, raising an eyebrow.

"I-I'm sorry, what did you say?..."

"F-Fluttershy..."

She spoke a bit louder but still faintly heard to understand. Zap only tilted his head side way still a bit stump to what she's saying still before shaking his head.

"N-Nevermind. Well it has been nice getting to know you girls but I need to got see your principal to have me enrolled to attend and hopefully resume chatting to you all! So which way is it to the principal's office Sunset?"

"Just down the hall on the left then make a right turn and you should be able see her office on the left side."

"Thank you!"

He then rushed his way towards the entrance before he made impact against the glass door that was so crystal clear you wouldn't tell if there was a door. Sunset facepalmed, slowly shaking her head while she let out a sigh.

"This is going one long day isn't it?"

She spoke in her thoughts. Zap groaned, rubs his face gently as he stared at the faintly unpolished glass door gave it open poke before he shouts.

"Uh Sunset, how do I open this?"

"Pull the handle bar!"

She groaned, Zap looked down at the handle bar firmly grips before pulling the door open. He chuckled and smiled awkwardly, slowly enters the facility. He stood in the center between the two hallways, slowly turning himself at 360 degrees to observe his surroundings in awe. He turned towards the hallway on his left, as soon he took a step a loud yell was heard from behind him shouting his name. The voice began to sound familiar to him as his eyes widens.

"Screecher?!"

He slowly turn around but just right after he was then slapped across his face harshly as he lets out a yelp then faces the sky blue teen whom is half the size as Zap but with some feathers in his hair? The face of the boy seemed similar to the dwarf griffin back in Kryo, the sky blue male started glaring at Zap while he was rubbing his cheek gently faintly groaning.

"What the hell where you thinking going through that portal?! You had us all worried sick!!"

The feathered teen yelled at him, Zap eyes began to thinned.

"S-Screecher?! B-But how did you g-get here?"

"I'll tell you that later. But where have you been?! I've been looking for you for two years!"

Before Zap could ever reply back a loud howl was heard coming from outside. The two turned their heads towards the glass door, something charged right through shattering the glass in its path. Screecher rushed behind Zap as the two faced a flame haired human like monsters with light-orange skin, claws on each fingers, dark orange colored slit eyes, and with teeth showing from its upper jaw. It snarled at Zap, slowly crawled towards the two as they backed away a few steps keeping distant from it. Screecher carefully observed the flame headed beast before he lets out a gasp.

"Zap that's Inferno! He's one of our own."

"Is he normally like this?!"

"No, he's actually the exact opposite kinda. I don't know how he turned into THAT."

Inferno growled at them as he swung his arm towards Zap but only missed by a couple inches, but crawled two feet away from the two.

"Uhh Screecher, what is he doing?"

Screecher shrugged, Inferno curled himself into a ball and started spinning around rapidly as flames began to form creating a ball of fire.

"Zap I think we need to get out a range!"

Inferno somersault towards them, they eventually got out of range but Inferno managed to damage Zap's coat sleeve and burn most of his exposed skin before made impact to the wall. Zap lets out a scream as he fell backward. He grabbed his arm groaning loudly to his burning flesh and skin infection as tears rolled down his cheeks. Inferno formed out from his ball lands back on his feet, slowly crawled towards Zap while snarling. Zap slowly stood back up blood began to drip down from his fingers as he stared at Inferno, furiously before his body began to surging. Screecher took a few steps back from him getting scared and worried to what's happening to Zap.

"..Zap..?"

Zap let out a loud roar before he changed into his dark form. Many of the students began to let out screams while a few female students fainted, Sunset and her friends have stared at him in horror seeing that the nice guy they recently met had a dark side. Screecher rushed towards them to keep safe distant, Inferno then roared at Zap as he returned with a deep growl clenching his fist tightly as it began surging rapidly formed an bright purple aura.

"I'm getting REAL tired of this shit!"

Inferno roared again attempting to pounce him. Zap quickly smashed his fist against Inferno face launching him back and landed on his back harshly, electrocuting him painfully but surprisingly wasn't enough to kill him as he began shrieking in excruciating pain before a dark purple crystal shard popped out from his neck. He then went unconscious slowly deformed from a fiery beast into a flame color haired teen Zap however didn't change back at, Screecher slowly took a few steps towards him.

"Z-Zap?..."

He stuttered, Zap immediately turned his head towards him breathing heavily while growled at him. He turned slowly walked towards him now as Screecher heart began to race taking a few steps back again.

"Ehh Zap, buddy? It's me. Your old pal Screecher, remember?"

He collapsed now in a helpless position, Zap stood over and stared down at him snarling. He aimed his talons towards Screecher before he quickly covered his head. As soon Zap attempt to jab his talon he was at a mid stop as his breathing slowly faded took a few steps back before he collapsed. He finally changed back to his normal self getting very dazed. Screecher and the other quickly gathered around him as Zap rolled his eyes towards all of them spoke out with a soft and weak voice.

"I-I'm sorry..."

His voice slowly faded away as his eyes rolled up to the back of his skull before closing going unconscious. Screecher began to shake him a bit as tears slowly rolled down.

"Z-Zap?! ZAAAAAAP!!!"

???

Zap's could now heard crackling sound of fire around him but no light shin through his eyelids though as deep feminine voice was heard, echoing his name.

"Zap... Zap... Zap, you boy... WAKE UP!"

He gasped loudly doing so, as his eyes were widen quickly looked around seeing the room was pitch black with six pillars each with a torch. A whistle was heard as his turns his head towards seeing a grey skin female wearing a cloak held a scythe in her right hand. She stared at him with a frown letting out a huff.

"Its about time you woke up you lazy basterd. My name is Stella the grim reaper."

Zap stared at her in confusion slowly getting up.

"Ehh, aren't you uhm... Too fleshy to be a grim reaper? I mean, aren't they suppose to be all bones?"

"Oh how many have you met before me, bud? Haven't anyone told you not ALL grim reapers have to be skeletons?!"

She sassed.

"Right I guess... Wait! Grim reaper? Am I dead?!"

He panicked, Stella facepalmed groaning.

"NO you're not you idiot! Well not yet actually..."

"W-What you mean?!"

"Ugh listen! The good news is, you're not dead you just been put into a coma from which you'll wake up soon."

Zap let out a sigh.

"Bad news?..."

"You are slowly dying BUT there's still a away to save yourself. But it will not be easy."

"So what is it?"

Stella cleared her throat once more as she pulled out a scroll from under her cloak.

"This was written by the creator itself, for me to read to you apparently."

She groaned, reading out loud.

"The only way to save yourself from the darkness that is slowly devouring your heart and soul is to find a light crystal. One shard will balance the darkness blah blah blah the old shit you must find!"

She tossed the scroll away, Zap scratched his scalp.

"So where can I find it?

"Hey don't look at me, I'm not your helper! But I will help you out with this, it seems you now having issues controlling your powers right?"

He slowly nodded.

"But wait, where am I?"

"You're in the underworld of course! Or in this dimension, Hell. But don't be expecting to leave anytime soon."

"Uh, why?"

Stella snickered.

"Because after you changed back you now gotten quite a coma so since its now March 13th soooo, you'll be due in two months."

Zap eye began to widen again.

"TWO MONTHS?!"

"Which gives us a perfect amount of time for training now lets go!"

She grabbed his arm pulling him along with as they headed towards another room.

"H-Hey WAIT!"   








> Holiday Special: Screechers' Revenge?
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Neighborhood. Not a creature was sleeping, not even a mouse. The reason is because of the noises coming from both Zaps' and Screechers' place as they were hosting a Christmas party and practically all of the students have chose to attend. Including some well known faces such as Sunset, The Rainbooms (If that what the human mane 6 are referred to as after Rainbow Rocks) ans so many more had shown up. Most of them were chatting to each other, making jokes as well while a certain "magician" was again trying to show off her "tricks" but hilariously ended with fizzle. The girls and Zap were gathered around Screecher as he was beginning to tell his little story of his "heroism" through the Stormy Swamp against the Primals.

"So there I was... Twenty of the ferocious Primals you have ever seen! Blood dripping from their dagger like fangs, teeth sharper then razors. All twenty of them surrounded us, but did I back down? No! I used my cunning speed and instinct and attack. POW! BAM! BANG! BOOM! And when the dust clear there were was nothing but their piles of ashes."

He then took a sip on his plastic cup filled with eggnog, the girls only chuckled in disbelief Sunset and Zap rolled their eyes while shaking their heads. Zap began to chuckle before taking a sip of his eggnog but instead he a bit of alcoholic beverage mixed into his cup.

"Y'know... You and Dash have one thing in common, you both like to show off allot."

"Hey!"

Dash and Screecher both shouted with a frown. Zap snickered to their reaction.

"Except for one SMALL detail. You attend to sometimes alter the stories, making it sound like YOU did all that awesome stuff. Which is actually, then other way around. And I happened to a have story of my own to share to you guys. Matter in fact to share with ALL of you!"

Everyone turn their heads towards him as he lets out a chuckle.

"For those who find my obnoxious best pal Screecher, you're going to love this story. For start Screecher, remember back at home when we journey through that jungle where we always get lost and we found that temple?" 

"Yea? Why?-- You better no tell them!"

Zap snickered.

"We were wondering through the jungle near by are village. We discovered this temple and for the past hour we had gotten lost. Just right when started to bitch at me saying its my fault a vine came from another room leading towards a giant venues fly trap monster as it wrapped its vine around his small hind paws and dragged him away. But lemme get to the point, before we came to this world which is like two week since then this was the day I discovered the meaning to his name. One of the thing that I like about Screecher is hearing his signature scream whenever he is scared as shit."

Screecher growled at him.

"Don' you dare Zap!!"

"We were visiting a "friends" house which I think is name is Peter is it? Yeah, Peter! Slightly big fellow but a huge fan of this Kaiju genre. We stopped by his place, and we saw he has a pot plant with a venues fly trap. By the ancients, as soon as Peter shown us his fly trap his scream was equivalent to a shriek of a banshee! It didn't kill us of course, but our were hurting badly when we heard his scream. After he was done, I'm not joking Peters' lower jaw dropped all the way down to the floor and as for me, I was having a hard to laugh my ass off at either Peters' jaw dropped or the how Screechers' scream sounding like a damn prison siren."

The majority of the students began to laugh, Screecher growls at him while he glared. For a bit a light bud appeared above his head, an evil smirk began to form as he lets out a fake chuckles.

"The story is quite "funny" isn't it, old pal? Think you got last laugh huh? We'll see who gets it. We'll see..."

He hops off the couch, started to laugh evilly as he walked away from the crowd. Zap only shrugs, chugging down his eggnog.

Meanwhile, Screecher was in the basement rubbishing through some boxes filled with Christmas props. Eventually he pulled out a red string attached to a mistletoe as he resumed his evil laugh.

"So you think you got me, ey Zap? But little did you know I know every little secret from your personal journal and soon... We'll see who has the last laugh."

He walks up the stairs slowly stuck his head out, checking to see if the coast is clear before walking out. He also carried a duct tape and a small ladder as he stood between the dining room and the party room. He places the ladder down before climbing up, he then rips a small piece of the tape. Before he could even tape the string to the ceiling he felt something gently poking his waist, as he turned his head towards who is trying to get his attention. He was now staring directly towards Ditzy Doo but was difficult to tell if she was even staring back at him. She gave him a warm smile, waving as well. Screecher lets out a gasp, quickly covers the mistletoe hoping she didn't notice it.

"What are you doing?"

Ditzy asked, Screecher lets out a sigh in relief.

"Er, just uh... Setting up a decoration I forgot to put up, yes!"

"Oooh, it's a very small decoration Screecher."

"It isn't completed I need to get the rest out from the basement!"

"Oh ok, mind if I help out?"

Not a second later Screechers' eyes immediately widens just right after she had ask if he could her assistance.

"NO! I mean uh I got this! Don't you worry a thing. Now, why don't you go on and enjoy yourself?"

"Okay, bye Screecher!"

She waved one last time before heading back to the party room, Screecher rolled his eyes as he rip off a thin strip of the duct tape before placing it over the string near the mistletoe. He hops off the ladder before sliding it to a corner, heading back to the party room with a snicker.

Few minutes has passed, finally both Zap and Sunset were heading towards the mistletoe while chatting. They stop just right under the mistletoe but was never noticed yet.

"Wow I have to admit Zap, you and Screecher threw quite a Christmas party. But was is necessary to purchase alcoholic beverages?"

"Ah don't worry about that! We only poured in a small amount of rum into each cups, won't be strong enough to make the wasted."

Zap replied with a faint chuckle.

"Oh! By the way, nice sweater. Looks very um festive and uh... Y-You don't look too bad in a ugly sweater."

"Heh, thanks I guess... Hmm, how come you're not wearing something festive for the holiday instead of the pilot jacket?"

Zap snickered before responding.

"Oh please! If I was wearing an ugly sweater, I would look like a total dork."

"Oh? So you're now implying that I'm am a "total dork" because I'm wearing a ugly sweater?"

She crossed her arms, slowly raised and eyebrow at him with a smirk.

"What?! Oh no! No! No! I was implying it to myself because I would totally look like one anyway."

"Tsh, you already are a dork anyway Zap so why does it matter?"

She rolled her eyes with a smile, Zap frowned rolling his as well.

"Oh shut up, egghead!"

"Walking bug zapper!"

"..."

Zap smirked, quickly took on his left boot rubbing his sock against the rug rapidly as he quickly gave her hand a gentle poke. She yelped quietly, Zap laughed.

"Bug zapper, hmm? I think "Sunset Zapper" is a better fit."

He poked her ear gently, shocking her again.

"O-Ow! Ugh, would you please stop it's getting annoying!"

She groaned, Zap slips his boot back on with a snicker.

"Oh yea? Or else wha--.."

His eyes slowly widens as soon as he noticed the mistletoe. She stared at him confused before looking up, her eyes widens as well as he cheeks turned blood red. Zap rolled his eyes around the room and fortunately and unfortunately only the girls and Screecher were staring while everyone else chatting, dancing, mind their own business. He rolled his eyes towards Screecher, seeing him snicker with an evil smirk on his face and Zaps' thoughts would be "You son of a bitch!". He then looks back at Sunset as the two were now staring directly at each other,  He pulled out his phone to stare at his screen.

"Oh uh would you look at the time I got pick up something!"

He immediately dashed outside in a blink of an eye, everyone stops what their doing to towards her now. Screecher is now laughing his ass off from  Zaps' "reaction" as the girls frowned at him. Sunset stares at Screech, enraged and humiliated. She lets out a growl before stomping towards him as his laughter was at a halt.

"Why you little feather headed piece of...!"

"Oh yeah?! What are you going to do about it?!"

She then punched him dead in his right eye before she gave him another punch to his stomach causing him to yelp and groan loudly. She grabbed Screech by his shirt collar, dragging him towards the front door as she tossed him out into a pile of snow in the yard. He pops his head out as his chin was covered in snow. He shouted at her before she slams the door while grumbling to herself, AppleJack walks towards her gently placing her hand on Sunsets' shoulder.

"Er, was that really necessary to throw him out, Shimmer?"

Sunset let out a deep sigh, as she facepalm. 

"I-I feel so... humiliated after that stupid stunt Screecher pulled! This is just..."

A sudden high pitch shriek in agony coming towards the front door. Everyone quickly turn their heads towards the sound, the door was then barged open. Zap walks inside looking mad as hell holding a medium sized box while dragging Screecher inside as he had a black eye, a bruised cheek, and missing a tooth. Zap stared down at Screecher, glaring.

"Now humiliating me just to get back at, is fine. BUT doing so with the cause of having one of our friends even though they have nothing to do with this, is UN... FUCKING... ACCEPTABLE."

He sighed, calming down just bit before he looks at the crowd.

"I apologize folks but party's over! Screecher and I think we should get some rest after all that drama."

Everyone went "Aw!" in response, heading out the door one by one each. Zap gently grabbed Sunset by her shoulders before she could step one foot out the door as he gave her the box.

She smiled, giving him a gentle hug. Zap lets out a faint sigh, hugging her back as he let out a yawn.

"O-Ok ok. Think it's time for us to hit the hay, tomorrow we have allot of cleaning to do. Cya another time and I hope you'll love the gift!"

She nodded, resumed heading out the door as Zap  closed it before carrying Screecher on his shoulders climbing upstairs.

"Better have a good attitude tomorrow, Screech."

Sunset Shimmers' house: Bedroom

Sunset sat down in bed, placing the box on her lap. She grabbed a pencil from her desk, cutting through the tape and unboxing. She pulled out a jewelry case from it, slipping the lid off. Her eyes grew wide as she slowly pulled out a small golden ruby amulet. She shook her head in disbelief before gazing at the ruby.

"W-What?! How on earth can Zap even afford something like this?!"

December 25th, back at Zap and Screecher

The two young males were beginning to clean up the living room, Screecher grumbling to himself loudly while picking up empty plastic cups and wrappers.

"Zap, why in the ancients did you have to spend our life saving on some cheap ass jewelry anyway?"

Zap rolled his eyes in response to Screechers' comment.

"Screech, before having to buy that amulet with a grant I had to make sure the gold and gem was real. Plus, it wasn't "our" life savings it was a year worth of savings from my job (which they don't pay me much). But it was indeed worth every single penny it cost."

"Wasted it some pissy bitch!"

Screecher grumbled before Zap slammed a rolling pin against his head, blacking him out instantly. Zap shook his head slowly while Screecher only let out groans.

"Ugh, Screecher don't you even learn from your lesson?"

> Chapter 4: Waking Up, Zap Joins The Renegades 
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Hospital:May 14th, 3:30PM

Zaps' eye lids slowly began to open, his visions too blurry for him to see as he let out a soft groan. He turns his head left and right, soon as he turned only to see three figures, two were sitting down one was reading while the other was writing. The other one was pacing back n' forth closely by his sickbed. His vision began to slowly clear up, two figures that he could easily recognize was Screecher as he was nibbling on his own finger nails with a intensely worried expression. The other was Sunset Shimmer, she was writing something down in her journal with a  Social Study book beside her. The one beside her was new and looked a bit more older than the two. It was a male with a pail toned skin with  black colored hair, and red eyes making him seem to look more like a vampire, a vampire who wore an ugly sweater while reading through a newspaper articles. Zap weakly raised his left arm placing his hand over his forehead, letting out a gentle groan.

"S-Screecher?... S-Sunset...?"

He said in a gentle voice, the three immediately turn their heads towards him as Screecher and Sunset eyes grew wide. Tears began to roll down Screechers' cheek at the sight of seeing Zap alive.

"ZAP!!!"

Screecher shouted, quickly wraps his arms around Zap hugging him tightly. Zap only chuckles softly, patting Screechers' back gently.

"H-Hey buddy... boy did I had a strange dream... I was in hell and some feminine like Grimm reaper took me off to help control my dark powers... but she only said and did stuff that only pissed me off... not much help at all."

Zap gently groaned, rubbing her forehead. He slowly sits up while letting out groans, Screecher let go of him before wiping his tears off his cheeks. Sunset closes her journal and book stood up, takes a few steps close to Zaps' sickbed.

"You feeling ok, Zap? Screecher and I were worried about you after Inferno attacked you."

"Yeah, what gotten in to you? You turned all dark and gruesome right after Inferno gave your arm fourth degree burn."

Zap looks at his right arm, seeing it wrapped in bandages as he sighed.

"I see but I don't what gotten into me back then... Sigh But I sure hope there won't anymore crazy events happening again."

"Unfortunately Lightning Warrior, that wish is unlikely going to come by now..." 

They all turn their attention towards the male as he folded his newspaper before standing up. He adjusted his glasses, taking a few steps closer to Zaps' sickbed before clearing his throat.

"It is an honer to meet the son of a famous elite warrior, Ace Stormwing. But I'm afraid this "crazy events" is only just the beginning for what truly lies ahead for you."

"Ok, who are you? And what the hell do you mean by "is only just the beginning"?

Zap asked.

"My name is Cobra, prince of Kryo. And to get one thing out of the way our scout Inferno Blaze, didn't intentionally assaulted you. He had a dark crystal lodged into his neck and it made him go berserk. But if you want to know, he's alright but I'm very curious, how in the ancients did end up with such dark power in the first place?"

"It's hard to remember how, so much has happened, and been out cold for quite awhile. I can't even remember when and where, sir."

"I think I can help you remember, Zap."

Sunset replied,  they turn heads towards her as Cobra raised an eyebrow.

"Well from what I can remember from your story Zap, you said about being imprison by a baron named Dark Dragon..."

"Wait! Baron Dark Dragon?!"

Cobra interrupted her as she nods in reply.

"You know who he is?"

Screecher asked.

"Of course, he was once our first lieutenant during the war against the Primals. But he betrayed us and now served  a evil alicorn called The Dark Queen."

"What do you know about this Dark Queen? All I've heard about it was in some spooky campfire stories."

Zap asked, crossing his arms.

"What you heard from those stories were true. She's shadow pony who captures any living organism and preforms this type mutation methods called "Dark Mutation", turning any living thing into savage blood thirsty dark mutants. And now, our foes have found this world, The Dark Queen hidden somewhere in the city waiting until its' midnight when the full moon is out."

"And what will happened next...?"

Sunset asked, Cobra took off his glasses cleaning his lends before placing them on.

"When that happens, her powers will grow and everyone in this world fates will be sealed." 

Zap sighed, as he facepalm.

"On the first day waking up from a coma, what do I hear first? More trouble, great!"

He groaned.

"Fine, what do you want me to do? Because I'll be dealing with allot of things trying to kill me so, why complain?"

Cobra let out a snicker slowly forms a faint smirk.

"That's the spirit, Zap! Once you get all dressed and ready, meet me at the junkyard. Then, we'll be discussing certain tasks you should do for your first day. See you there, Stormwing."

Cobra turns away and heads down the hallway towards the exit of the Hospital.

"...Do any of you guys know where my clothes are?"

Zap asked, Screecher grabs his cloths stacked from a small counter beside his sickbed placing them on his lap.

"I'll be near the exit whenever you're done dressing up, Zap."

Screecher heads out the exit while gawking at a few young nurses along the way. Zap let out a sigh before slipping on his new gloves.

"So, how Screech been doing so far?"

He asked.

"He's actually been less obnoxious over the past two months since you were in the hospital. He's been very worried since the doctors confirmed you were in a coma."

Sunset replied, Zap began to snicker.

"Yeah, he can be a bit annoying and almost unbearable at some point, but he's a real cool guy once you get to know or if you could." 

"You're not kidding about him being unbearable sometime, I'm quite amaze you were able to."

Zap faintly chuckle before rubbing the back of his neck.

"I get that allot back home... Sigh if I had just listen to my uncle wish, none of this would have happened."

He lowers his head, facing the stack of his cloths on his lap letting out another sigh.

"Hey listen..."

Sunset places her hand on his shoulder as Zap slowly turns his head towards her, stared directly at her eyes.

"Don't be so down now, Zap. You know what they say, every tragic moment has a silver lining."

She said with a warm smile, Zap turn his head away.

"You could... Say it like that."

He faintly blushed at the thought of one of the silver linings he came across.

"Oh! I almost forgotten, I meant to give you this before we left for School."

"Hmm? What is it?"

She reaches for he backpack digging through before pulling out his Lightning sapphire necklace, this time had a new and more stronger string. She placed it on top of his cloth, Zap slowly picked up gazing upon it with eyes widen.

"M-My necklace..."

"Back when you came to this world, I accidentally ripped you necklace off as soon as you gain conscious."

She scratched the back of her neck letting out a gentle sigh. Zap looked back at her once more before he gave her a quick hug as Sunset blushed from his unexpected hug.

"Thank you so much for that accident! You have no idea how much this necklace means to me." 

"E-Eheh, no problem I guess. And I can see how so, is it something to help you remember someone you cared?"

Zap went silent after her question looking back down with a quiet sigh.

"My father..."

Her smile immediately turned into a frown after she hear him mention his dad and assumed something bad might have happened to him.

"Oh... I'm very sorry to hear that."

Zap lets out one last sigh.

"It's fine, just give me some time alone right now... I'll meet you guys at the exit."

She nods gently pets his shoulder before exiting. Zap continued to stare at his necklace while in thought about his father.

"Father... If only I could meet you in pony, rather than just knowing who you are and your reputation... Sigh The dream..."

He adverts his thoughts to the "dream" he had, remembering the last thing he remembered before he woke up.

"I honestly hope all of that was just a dream but... I seem so real... Hmm.."

The Underworld: 10 Minutes Before Waking Up

"Congratulations! After months of trial and error you have finally completed your training."

Stella giggled as she smiled widely with her arms crossed behind her back.

"What training? All you was continuously annoy the crap out of me to piss me off!"

Zap shouted enraged, Stella only rolls her eyes tisking at him.

"Your dark powers are summon when you're in intense rage, this training is only to help control your anger as well as these powers. The ruler of the underworld hate to have countless souls lined up in a single day."

Zap collapsed on the ground, letting out a grunt in frustration. The female Grimm reaper groaned.

"Look, you're going to be facing stuff that'll piss you off ALLOT worse then how I did, so stop your complaining! Look would it make you feel better if I told you that you don't have look for some mythical light crystal shards?"

Zap immediately froze for a minute before he sat up as the two made eye contact to each other now.

"..You're kidding, right?..."

Stella shook her head with a smile.

"Nope! I actually read the wrong scroll message ever since you arrived."

She chuckled awkwardly, pulling out a scroll from under cloak unwinding it before clearing her throat.

"Mmm, this is in a very long description so I'll just sum it up short. You just need to find and absorb the magic from the Lightning orb, one of the five Power Orbs."

"E-Ehh, Power Orbs? Aren't those relics myths?"

"Ugh, you ask way too many questions. Just ask Cobra about those when you see him!"

She rolled up the scroll, slipping it back into her cloak.

"B-But how do I even absorb magic from an---"

A shimmer of light had shinned down upon Zap before he could even continue, he stared up in confusion. Not a moment later he was levitated up higher and higher at a slow pace. Soon as he notice he began freaking out.

"W-Wah?! Hey, what the hell?! What is happening?!"

Zap started to squirm around rapidly hoping it would result in freedom but atlas it was an utter failure. Stella waved at him with a snicker.

"This is your ticket out of here. Farewell, possibly may or may not see you again!"

"W-Wait what---"

He was pulled up immediately towards the source of the light before vanishing.

The Junkyard

The three were standing in front of the entrance of the Junkyard, it was quite noisy and faint chatting was also heard behind the wall. Zap took a few steps before knocking on the door three times. Not too soon a voice was heard, it had a deep western accent and sounded rather more of a male then feminine.

"Who's there?"

Said the unknown male, Screecher stood beside Zap as he cleared his throat.

"The motherfucking Griffin!"

Screecher shouted, the male grunt in response before opening the door revealing what he looks. The male had wore a plain white T-shirt, blue jeans, brown leather boots, and wore a brown hat over his head. His skin color was dark brown, his eyes colors were like emerald green and he had blond hair. He seem to be rather taller then Zap, he was holding what it looks like a crossbreed of a rifle and a shotgun in his right hand. He had his attention towards Zap with a faintly astonished expression on his face, having to come face to face with a Lightning Warrior for the very first time.

"Well golly, it's such an honer to finally meet a son of a legend himself."

The male said, as he tip his hat at him.

"Wait, what does he mean by "son of a legend"?"

Sunset asked, Zap had crossed his arms before closing his eyes.

"I'll explain later about that. We're here to see Cobra, he said he had a "welcoming" job for me?"

"Ah yes, he did mentioned to us about a new addiction to our cause-- But now it's not the time to chat here, get inside quickly!"

The male grabs Zap arms forcefully pulling him inside, doing the same to Sunset and Zap. He peeks his head out for just a quick second before closing the door, Zap and the other grunted as they got back up dusting the dirt off their cloths.

"Ugh, what the hell what that all about? Is this really how you welcome a newcomer?!"

Zap said angrily. 

"I apologize for that, but we were told that we needed to keep a low profile to avoid getting the wrong attention."

"Just show us where Cobra is mister uh..."

"Mohawk and sure thing Zap. And while we're on our way, why not give you two a tour of our base."

Mohawk replied, walking towards the east side of the junkyard as the rest followed his lead. Both Zap and Sunset were looking around their surroundings, seeing people with weapons wondering around chatting to one another. A few or more had notice them walking by, most of them had their attention towards Zap. Some mumbling and a few whispering was heard but was hard for them to hear from the distant they were in. Zap tried not to make eye-contact towards any of them.

"Screecher I forget to asked, how did you or everyone here even got to this world?"

Zap asked curiously, Screecher scratch the back of his neck trying to remember the events that occurred afters Zaps' departure.

"Well, it all happened a month after you went through that portal. A couple royal Pegasus guards showed up at your uncles front door, they were requesting for you and I to head to Cobras' palace, but I told that you were already gone to another world so they took me instead. When we arrived Cobra had this huge crystal cluster in his Study room. He had preformed a spell that said be so advance but hardest to master..."

"Wait, what this advance spell?"

Sunset Asked.

"Its called the Crystal Dimensional Portal spell. Only unicorns in the element of Magic and had study Crystal Magic can try to learn this spell. But it said its practically impossible considering few have died trying to cast the spell. But for those who have learned and mastered it will have to take a huge risk, because when preformed it'll take quite the amount of magic within them and will cause a very nasty headache."

Mohawk replied.

"Hey! Can't YOU see I was trying to tell a story here?! Hmph! As I was saying, he cast the spell on the crystal opening the portal leading to this world. We went through and ended up near a building with some crystal like structure around the evening. But then we came cross their guard dog so we had to scram quickly."

Screecher'd snicker, Mohawk rolled his eyes. 

"IT wasn't an actual dog, but that person sure was friendly as a guard dog. But anyway, we're here."

They all had stop a foot away from a large grey tent in front of them. Mohawk slide the curtains out the way as the three entered. Zap observed his surroundings, seeing mostly shelves filled with books, scrolls, and paperwork lying around the carpet that was placed under the dirt floor. Cobra was writing something down in of his scrolls, but what caught Zaps' attention was another person lying down on a sleeping bag. A female with skin color equivalent to charcoal, her eyes were dark blue as the batter of dark magic back at Graveyard Cove. She had long silky hair matching the same color ad her eyes. Her clothing style made her looked menacing like if she was apart of a aggressive gang. She were a black leather jacket, skirt, and a boot with three silver spikes. She had a two caste one on her right arm, and the other on her left leg. Her eyes were thinned when she first saw Zap walked through the entrance in shock but she avert her eyes away as soon as Zap looked back at her.

Zap stop in front of Cobra desk having his arm crossed. Cobra look up directly at letting a faint sigh.

"See you finally showed up from your trip from the hospital. So, ready to begin your "welcoming" assignment?"

"But first, I need to asked you a few questions..."

Zap replied, Cobra raised his eyebrow at him.

"I need to know, are these so called Power Orbs are really just legend?"

He asked, Cobra raised both his eyebrows before he clears his throat.

"To answer that question, no. They are real. Long ago during the war for Kryo, my mother Queen Liz banished all but the magic orb to another dimension, keeping Ashtrail from using them for something evil."

"Wait Ashtrail? Last time I saw him was after Screech and I defeated back at his fortress."

"Oh... About that, you didn't kill him.."

Zap eyes instantly thinned both his eyebrows raised up with his lower right eyelid twitched same goes for Screecher.

"W-Wait what?!"

Both Zap and Screecher said.

"Look, you didn't because the Ashtrail and his sister you thought you two fought against was just a powerful crystal dummies. Ashtrail killed his family along time ago only sparing his little niece. Beside, the plan that Screecher told sounded very ridiculous."

"S-So he's still alive?.."

They both asked.

"No, when we arrived to this world three years ago, a year later we detected a Primal in the area but at the same time, the signal we detected just vanished. As if... Something killed him already. But whatever it was that did, you two don't have to worry about him anymore."

They both sighed in relief.

"But, wouldn't that mean there's something more powerful then this Ashtrail?"

Sunset asked.

"Well Miss. Shimmer, if so the most likely that would be the Dark Queen. Probably by dumb luck..."

The girl in the caste lets out a huff in response to Cobras' insult. Cobra look over to her.

"Is there something wrong, Bella?..."

The girl slowly turn her head towards them, she let out faint grunts in the process.

"N-Nothing, its just that I wouldn't get too cocky if I was you.."

"Bella? Is that your wife or something?..."

Zap asked, both Screecher and Mohawk facepalm. Bella formed an disgusted expression as Cobra glares at him.

"That's my little sister, Mr. Stormwing."

Zap eyes thinned again as his jaw dropped, pointing at Cobra then Bella and back at Cobra.

Can WE get back to business?"

Cobra asked angrily, Zap slowly nod in response.

"Good! Now for your first mission, I want you and Inferno to go down into the sewers. We detected some Dark Mutant movement down there. We suspect that there must be a nest down there. Go down there, find this nest and destroy before more keep hatching."

"W-Wait Inferno? Are you sure about that? I-I mean not after last time..."

Cobra nod in response.

"I figured this would be the perfect way for you two to let bygones be bygones after that incident in Canterlot High. Just meet up with him at Zeeks' Lab at the west side of the Junkyard."

"A lab? In a JUNKYARD?"

Zap said in disbelief.

"You'll believe it when you see it. Now you two must be going, Mohawk continue your post until further notice."

Mohawk'd nods to his commands, walking out the tent.

"And Miss. Shimmer, mind staying her a bit before you leave? I only want to know everything that you know about Equestria."

"Oh sure thing, I'll be sure to fill you in as much as I can."

Sunset replied.

"And again for you two..."

"Yeah yeah yeah, we must head to the west side of the junkyard. Come on Zap, I'll show you the way."

Screecher interrupted, walking out the tent with Zap following heading down the opposite direction. 

After ten minutes of walking, they spot a familiar figure up ahead. The figure seem to look allot like Inferno Blaze from behind, it was carrying a small cylinder tank behind with a fire hazard warning label. It also was carry two dual flamethrowers connected to the tank but had different color scheme on them, one was dark orange, and the other was green. They walked towards to the figure as Screecher shouted.

"Hey Inferno!"

"Oi?"

Inferno spoke in a Australian accent as he respond to Screecher before turning towards them.

"Hello there, mate---"

Inferno's eye thinned once he made direct contact with Zap.

"O-Oh u-uh hey there Z-Zap! H-How was y-your recov-very?

Inferno shuddered in fear as Zap lets out a sigh.

"Look, before we let bygones be bygones. I need to know, how did you turn into a savage monster back then?"

Zap asked calmly, Inferno lets out a deep sigh.

"Well alrighty then, I dunno how but while I was on my walking to school on the same day, someone in a cloak just stabbed that sliver into my neck! And bloody hell did it hurt badly, I couldn't see who's face it was until it was too late. After all that, I've blacked out. That's all I can remember but I'm really sorry for attacking you."

Inferno sighed once more, Zap rubs his chin gently.

"Hmm, who ever did this will be very sorry to have mess with us!"

"H-Huh? Does this mean...?"

Zap smiled before he nods.

"Mhm, letting bygones be bygones. Besides, we'll teach that person a lesson for harming a friend of mine."

Inferno stared at him in confusion soon as he heard "friend of mine".

"Y-You're befriending me? After all the trouble we had since?"

"Hey, what did I say? It's all in the past. How about we have a fresh start, m-mate?"

He slowly reaches his hand towards.

"GAAAAAY!"

Screecher shouted, the two turn their heads towards him with a frown before Zap slaps him behind his head.

"O-Ow!"

"Mate means friend/buddy you nincompoop!"

Inferno shouted, rolling his eyes as he looked back at Zap.

"Alrighty then, mate."

He shook his hand smiling back at him.

"So, where is Zeeks' Lab?"

Zap asked.

"Simple, just stay still aaaaaand..."

He pulled out a controller with one red button. Once he pressed a panel right underneath them had open, they all fell and side down a pitch black tunnel as they screamed while sliding down. Not too long they slid out the tunnel, Screecher landed first on top of a mattress, then Inferno on top of Screecher, then Zap on top of Inferno. Both Screecher and Inferno groan in pain getting off of each other. Zap observed around the area in awe, seeing the most basic laboratory essentials; machines, chemicals, beakers, parts of animals inside jars, and inventions of all sorts. The three hopped off the mattress, dusting themselves.

"Sooo, where is this Zeek?" 

Zap asked, Inferno points towards a large desk with three computers. Zap heads toward the figure sitting in front of the computer in the middle as he slowly raises his arm and gave him just a gentle pat on it's shoulder. Not too long the figure freaked out for a short moment before having direct eye contact with Zap. Zeek was a young male with a robotic right arm and his left side of his face was metallic. He had slightly long silky red hair on his right side of his head. Surprisingly his left eye was in perfect condition, his eyes colors were violet. His choice of clothing were a bit odd, he work a white lab coat, dark purple buttoned shirt, a poke-a-dot tie, navy blue pants, and black boots. He was panting so heavily with his robotic hand placed on his chest.

"Are you Zeek?"

Zap asked, Zeek took a deep breath before calming down slightly.

"I-I-I-I am, and you must be the new recruit I was informed. E-E-Eh welcome to the Renegades, Zap!"

Zeek said while he shudders. Zap turn his head to Inferno with one of his eyebrow raised as Inferno rolls his eyes.

"Don't worry about this bugger, Zeek is kinda a total brain wreck."

Inferno whispered, Zap shrugged looking at Zeek again.

"So, Cobra said you had something to set me up on my first day or what?"

Zap asked once more with a stern look on his face.

"R-R-Right! Well of course, you can't just go down there unarmed. Here at Renegades our weapons are built to fit our soldier's element they're born as. N-N-Now considering that you're born in the element of Lightning, supplies here are quite plentiful in the recent years. And judging from your bio and your recent usage of w-w-weaponry that Screecher was willing to fill for us, I might have the perfect weapon for you."

"Great, more weapons. So what kind would it be, whip, crossbow, a sword?"

Zap asked with a sarcastic tone despite he wasn't being sarcastic. Zeek let out a chuckle.

"O-O-Oh please, none of those primitive weapons. Over the last two centuries since the G-G-Great Depression, our weaponry has advanced over the years. F-F-For your choice of weapons would be these."

Zeek grabbed two gun like objects from his desk, handing them over to Zap.  The two guns were pistols looking exactly the same, with same blue color scheme, and lightning tattoos all over it. Zap hold one of guns in each of his hands observing them closely before looking back at Zeek.

"These are pistols... No rifles, rail guns, or rocket launchers or something?"

Zeek shook his head in response.

"N-N-No, those are for the higher rank soldiers. And these are not just b-b-beginners pistols, they are called Twin Lightning Bolts. T-T-Trust me, the damages they do will s-s-satisfy you. Now b-b-before you guy head out, y-y-you must be aware of the types of D-D-Dark Mutants that lurk down in the sewers."

Zeek turn to his computers and with one press of a button images appeared on all three of the screens. One the left side had a mutated black rat with dagger like teeth, fang like buckteeth, beating red eyes, and two tusk on each side of its jaws. The middle had a turtle standing on two legs, webbed feet and hand with long thin claws, and several rows of sharp teeth in its mouth. And the last image on the right computer was a giant snake with a spiny sail along its spins, thick scales, and giant fangs at front. Zap observed the images while rubbing his chin, thinking to himself.

"T-T-These are the three mutants we a-a-analyze after our first investigation. You two must down there, locate and destroy the nest or whatever source that's m-m-mutating these poor creatures."

"HEY! These two?! What about me? What am I suppose to do?!"

Screecher shouted, Zeek rolled his eyes.

"S-S-Screecher, you were suspended from any duty but k-k-keeping an eye out for any suspicious in Canterlot High, u-u-until further notice."

Zeek said, Zap looked at Screecher with an eyebrow raised before lets out a sigh and look back at Zeek.

"I'm not gonna bother to asked what he might did wrong. But before we leave, I need to ask you one small request."

Zeek raise his one eyebrow up at Zap, Zap clears his throat.

"I need you to get me enrolled for Canterlot High."

Zap requested, Zeek stroked his chin for a bit.

"So y-y-you want to be assigned to watch out for any strange occurrence at the s-s-school huh? You'll have to speak about that to C-C-Cobra about that. But d-d-don't get your hopes up, not after they know what happens if you get p-p-pissed off."

Zeek replied, Zap let out a sigh, remembering his returning to Canterlot High.

"Yes I know that the school would had raised their suspicions about me since then. But I'm different now and I'm willing to be apart of this assignment."

Zap said, Zeek placed his metallic hand over his forehead as he sighed.

"R-Right, so which way is the exit?"

Zap asked, Zeek pointed towards a ladder near the mattress.

"J-J-Just climb up that, it'll take right up to the surface now get out."

"Right! Let go Inferno."

Inferno nod in response as the two headed towards the ladder. Zap slip his pistols in both his pockets, climbing up as Inferno followed from behind.
