It had not been long since the Elements of Harmony had defeated Nightmare Moon. Luna had finally returned to the luxury of Canterlot and her castle.

Luna was exploring the castle and stumbled upon her sisters suite. There was a locked chest near her bedside that even her magic couldn’t break. As she continued to investigate, she heard footsteps from the staircase down the right of the hallway. Luna walked casually out into the hallway and noticed a servant mare coming over the top of the stairs. This mare confronted Luna, holding a scroll in her mouth and put it on the floor.

“Celestia asks if you could come to dinner, Luna.” the young mare said.

“I’ll be right down..” Luna replied softly. The servant went the opposite way Luna did down the staircase. Luna entered the mess hall, to where a fabulous feast had been laid in her honor. She took a seat opposite of Celestia, and gazed at what was in front of her; Salads, pastas, and even royal deserts, all to her liking. She sighed softly and began eating some salad slowly. Celestia walked over and nuzzled Luna softly and let out a small smile.

“Is something the matter?” She asked, watching Luna eat.

“Just.. I havn’t sat down at this table for ages.. Brings back some memories.” Luna said softly. Celestia levitated over a scroll in front of Luna, opening it up. Luna reading it softly to herself. After a moment, Luna looked up at Celestia with questioning eyes.

“Who is this, ‘Twilight Sparkle’?” Luna asked. Celestia’s eyes lighted up as she heard the students name. She took back the scroll out of Luna’s reach, and put it away.

“Twilight Sparkle? She’s my star pupil and ‘Faithful Student’ to me. She was one of the Main Six that freed you from your ‘Nightmare’ state. She is one of the six Elements of Harmony. The Element of Magic!” Celestia exclaimed, seeming that she could rant about her for hours!

“C-Could I meet my saviors? I had only caught a glimpse of them.. Tell me more about Twilight, your student.” Luna said softly. Celestia levitated her chest over and opened it. It was filled with tons and tons of letters from Twilight. Luna ran over and read them, in awe of this great character. But then, she felt something. Something make her heart feel, odd. Luna shook it off and ran off into her room with the scrolls, loving every word that was written on the paper. She felt warmth, and love entice her heart as she grew breathless with every word she read. Was this love she was feeling, or is it only the beginning of something even bigger. Running down the stairs to Celestia, with bags following behind with her magic. Celestia looked at her like she had gone insane, but she let out a smile and walked over to her.

“Luna, you can go visit them tomorrow. I’ll let them know in advance.” She said.

“Okay Celestia.. Thank you. I’ll head off to bed for the night.” Luna said, her adrenaline had gone away from the rush from her room. As she tried to lay in her bed, she kept tossing from side to side. Suddenly, it hit her. She was anti-social and very shy when in those situations. She didn’t talk to most anyone for the past thousand years on the moon. Leaving her, with no social skills. Pointless, she gave up all hope of even talking to anypony else. She got up and walked over to her mirror to look at her sad self, and noticed her reflection.

“I could practice talking to myself..” she thought. Letting off a small smile, she bowed her head at the mirror, and began talking to it.

After three hours of determination, she felt confidence in herself. Tucking back into bed, late in the night, starting to drift into her dreamless state of mind. Awaking several hours later to a chirping bell, signaling break-fest was being served. Luna approached the mirror and smiled, showing herself confidence. She took her time down the stiars to the mess hall. As she entered, Luna drank some orange juice as she approached her sister. Putting the glass down, and stood over Celestia, waiting for her to say something.

“Yes sister?” She said, eating flapjacks from her plate. Luna nuzzled her and threw a hug around her.

“Thank you for letting me go to Ponyvile, sister!” Luna exclaimed. Celestia patted her sister on the head.

“No problem. Whatever makes you happy my dear sister.” Celestia said, finishing her flapjacks. Luna walked back to her room, levitating a apple behind, before eating it up the staircase. She grabbed her bags and put on her crown, for her royal appearance today. A louder bell rung, alerting Luna to make her way to the pegasi carriage. Eager with anticipation, she walked as fast as she could to her ride. She noted two male pegasi.

“Having a good day, Princess?” one asked.

“Yes. A very good day. To Ponyvile please!” Luna said with a smile. The two pegasus’ nodded at each other and started to fly to Ponyvile.

As Luna and her carriage came over a huge hill, she saw the small town of Ponyvile. But looking very festive, with balloons and a bunch of ponies awaiting for her arrival. It had been at least a few months since a princess has visted this town.

The carriage landed and a swarm of ponies went around it, looking at Luna. Shocked from all the attention that she didn’t expect, a pink pony was jumping over the crowd to her. A mess of ponies popped out in front and took pictures of her for the newspaper. The pink pony approached Luna, eager to talk to her.

“Princess! You made it safe! Welcome to Ponyvile. Your probably wondering why there’s such a big crowd. You’ve never visted us before, and you seem to never come into public, often, so, we’re throwing a Welcome to Ponyvile party for you! Oh, and I’m Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter!” the pony said, hardly breathing at all during the little speech.

“Thank you Pinkie Pie. I’d just like to get settled in more before I actually attend this party.” Luna said, walking off the carriage, directing her attention to her gaurds. “Alright, thank you for the trip. You can go now.”

“Are you sure you don’t need us here?” the left pegasus asked, raising a brow.

“Yes. I’ll be fine of my own, if I need you, I’ll send a letter” Luna said in response. The two pegasi flew off and the crowd of ponies seemed to have scattered off to enjoy their party at Sugercube Corner. Luna sighed and she looked around at her surroundings and down at her bags.

“Is something wrong princess? Did you not like the welcoming?” Pinkie Pie said with a frown.

“Nothing’s wrong. Just not used to the royalty surroundings of Canterlot. I should probably find a place to stay.. Did you set up anywhere or must I seek it out myself?” Luna said.

“I don’t know you silly pony. I thought you knew what you were doing while you were down here. You best talk to Twilight Sparkle. She stays at the library, and you can’t miss her, she’s purple! Kind of like you, but not really, if that makes sense!” Pinkie said.

“Where is the library located at?” Luna asked, looked at multiple roads.

“That road right there, right over.... THERE!” Pinkie pointed a hoof down the western road. “It should be a giant tree, you can’t miss it. Well, I got to go bake some goods for a sale later. See ya!” and she darted off. Luna started to walk down the appointed road that she had said, trailing her bag behind her with her magic. After a few minutes of walking, she saw a giant tree, marked ‘Library.’ Knocking on the door, it opened up to a small purple dragon.

“P-Princess Luna? Is it really you? Please come in!” he said, dragging her in. Taking in the surroundings, looking at the detail, she saw so many books around her.
Luna heard loud trotting from outside, coming closer to the door. She turned around to see who the next unexpected guest would be today. The door opened slowly to revel a purple pony, with saddle bags on her back.

“Princess Luna! Glad you made it, I’ve heard so much from Celestia!” the purple pony said, bowing.

“Rise, no need to bow or call me princess. You can just call me Luna, and you are?” Luna asked.

“Well, I’m Twilight Sparkle,” she said, and pointed at the dragon, “and that’s Spike, my assistant. Nice to have you here, you can unpack upstairs. I made a spare bed up there for you.”

This, was what Luna wanted. To meet Twilight Sparkle, but didn’t count on meeting a dragon. But, it was getting late, and Luna wanted to get some rest from the crazy day she had just had. After unpacking and settling into bed, Twilight came to join her.

“If you need anything, just ask Luna. I’ll see ya in the morning” Twilight whispered before getting into her own bed. Luna didn’t expect to get this much respect, even from Twilight. But Luna didn’t want to question and bother her, so she got settled and turned off her lamp, falling to a deep sleep.

Part 1: Chapter 3

Twilight was up at the dawn of daylight, eager to spend the day with Luna. She went over to Luna to look at her sleeping. Tempted to shake her awake, Twilight held herself back and went down stairs for a cook book. Levitating a few choices over, she opened the first book to break-fast. Then realizing, they didn’t have any supplies to cook with. She didn’t want to disappoint Luna that she couldn’t rely on her, she put on her saddlebags and rushed out the door.

A few hours later, Spike woke up and began mumbling to himself. Looking at Twilight’s bed, she was gone. He went down stairs to look for a list of things to do, but didn’t find anything. Scratching his head, he went outside to look for Twilight, leaving Luna alone.

Just after leaving, she woke up, looking around at the barely sunlight room. Getting out of bed and exploring the place herself, seeing if she could find some information on Twilight. Searching left and right, to and fro, not finding a single clue to give more of a vision of who is Twilight Sparkle. What’s her personality, her likes, dislikes, etc. Luna figured she would have to get it out of her, herself. Clueless as what to do, she put on her crown that was on her nightstand next to the bed and trotted outside to explore town. Looking at a sign at a intersection, she saw, ‘The Carousel Boutique,’ and the sign pointed north. She didn’t hesitate much before trotting down the road to see a giant, fancy building. Luna walked over and knocked on the door, waiting for a response. After a few minutes of waiting, she started to walk away and the door flung open with a glamorous white unicorn. Cutie mark, of three diamonds. Without even looking, she started to speak.

“I’m so-so-so-so-so sorry for the hold up! I have to make dead lines in this... Princess? The Princess Luna?!”

“It’s quite alright.. Who are you? You look.. nice.” Luna complimented the new white mare.

“Ah, Twilight hasn’t introduced you to everyone yet hasn’t she? Well, I’m Rarity, owner of the Carousel Boutique, and one of your saviors: The Element of Generosity!” Rarity said, “So why are you here? Do you need a dress or anything? I can make you one free of charge.”

“Maybe later, I don’t want to intrude on your business,“ Luna replied, “and do you know where Twilight is? I would like to talk with her.”

“No. Maybe you should find Rainbow Dash, she should be up in the clouds. She loves to fly. She can help you spot her out.” Rarity responded. Spike was running down the road towards Luna, holding a scroll in his hand.

“L-Luna.. This letter’s from your sister. You should read it” Spike said, handing her the scroll. Luna opened in with her magic, reading the following: ‘Luna, I would like you home by the end of the day. Thanks. Celly’. Outraged, she stomped around and looked at Spike.

“Take a letter Spike. Dear sister, I will be staying in Ponyvile for as long as I feel. For once, I can talk to some people, other than you. Signed, Princess Luna.” she said, watching Spike write it down and send it off. After a few minutes of silence, no response came. Celestia was most likely outraged at this time, but Luna didn’t care. She stepped back and flew into the sky, to search of Twilight. Flying across the skies of Ponyvile, she spotted her purple mare. She gracefully flew down until breaching the ground before Twilight.

“Oh, Luna.. You frightened me for a second. Sorry that you had to search for me, I was just trying to make you some break-fest.” Twilight said.

“It’s fine. Just woke up with no one there, she I took a stroll around all morning, making me more hungry than before. Maybe we could just go somewhere for a early lunch?” Luna asked.

“Sure, where should we meet?” Twilight said, eagerness in her eyes, notable by anypony. Luna smiled and pointed down the street at a restaurant at the corner, with a out-door eating patio.

“There. What time?” Luna asked.

“In a half hour. I’ll be there!” Twilight said before dashing off. Luna blushing, mumbled under her breath

“And a date it shall be..”

Galloping back to the house, she was rushing to make it on time. bumping into the door, rushing past Spike who was busy tidying up the library.

“W-What’s the rush Twilight?” Spike asked, moving misplaced books to their proper locations.

“Going to meet Luna for lunch!” She replied excietedly. Putting down her saddle bags and brushing her mane, getting in order. While straightening out her hair, Spike leaned on the wall next to her, with a suspicious look.

“Slow down Twilight. All this adrenaline is not good for your health. Why would Luna sit down with you, and only you?”

“I don’t know.. But it doesn’t matter, it’s lunch with one of the princess’!”
Spike chuckled and smiled at Twilight.

“Just.. Are you feeling well?”

“Yeah. It’s just lunch Spike. What more could it be.”

“Just lunch?”

“What are you implying? You think.. Oh my..” Twilight blushed. Spike’s smile turned more into a grin, and walked around, looking at her.

“A date. How splendid. Growing up a little. But, should it be mares with colts?”

“W-Why not? It seems like the other way around doesn’t make a difference at all. And why are you being so nosy? No offence but your just a kid.”

“Eh.. Just common sense Twi. I’ve been researching a little myself you know.” Spike replied, ignoring the insult.

“J-Just don’t tell anypony else, please?”

“It’s fine Twilight. I promise.” Spike said, putting a crescent moon hair pin on Twilight’s hair. Looking more presentable now, she took a deep breath and trotted out the door. Spike closed the door behind her and brought a book over to the table.

“Pony Relationships.” He said out-loud, beginning to read.

After Twilight left, Luna wanted to learn some more information before the ‘date’ occurred. She walked over to Sweet Apple Acres, and tripped over a small, yellow foal.

“I’m sorry Princess, are you looking for someone?” She asked, looking up at the towering Luna above.

“Yes.. The one called, Applejack. Is she here?” Luna replied, looking around. A loud whacking sound came from a bunch of trees, catching her attention. Walking into the tree bunch for a moment before coming into a clearing, where Applejack was bucking trees. Not noticing the her appearance, irritated her.

“Applejack?” Luna said sharply, with a glare. Applejack stopped bucking and bowed immediately.

“A thousand pardons Princess Luna. I have to make deadlines you know, but I’m ahead of schedule. Can I help you?” Applejack replied kindly.

“How much do you know about Twilight Sparkle? I have a da-..” cutting off mid sentence. Applejack blinked blankly, then took off her hat.

“I beg your pardon?”

“We’re having lunch in a bit, I need some information on her. I have nothing to talk about with her.” Luna replied, holding back her blush she wanted to let out.

“What is there to know? She’s a kind, caring pony. Also obsessed with magic and the princesses, like you.”

“Hmm.. Thank you Applejack. You helped me out in a time of need.” Luna said, helping moving all the apples off the trees into the basket with her magic.

“Mighty kind of you Princess. Hope to see you again soon!” Applejack said, waving her hat good bye. Luna, happy as a bee, walked to the center of Ponyvile, and looked at the clock tower.

‘Almost noon.. Best get going to meet Twilight’ Luna thought. Picking up her pace, she reached the restaurant, and walked to the empty table on the patio. Sitting down, a young waiter mare walked over to greet her.

“Hello Princess. May I take your order? Or must you need a few minutes to look at our menu.”

“A few minutes, thank you.” she replied. The waiter bowed and walked inside. Luna’s heart warmed, but breaking out a little. Twilight walked behind and around Luna, to sit across from her.

“Hello Twilight.. Welcome.”

“Thank you, Princess.. Did you order?”

“It’s Luna.. Just Luna. And no, I did not order, here she comes now.” The waiter approached both of them, bringing some cups of water.

“Some water to tie you guys over. Are you ready to order?” She asked.

“The usual.” Twilight replied. Luna smiled at her, and gave the waiter her menus back.

“Two croissants, and a glass of orange juice.” She told the waiter with a smile. As she walked off, Luna looked over a Twilight, noticing the hair pin she had on. Twilight looked back and forth around here, with questioning eyes.

“W-What is it? Is it something behind me?”

“It’s nothing. Just like the hair pin that you put on.” Luna said smiling. Twilight looked up at her crescent moon hair pin and blushed.

“I didn’t know.. Spike did this..”

“It’s cute. It compliments me in what I do best. Raise the moon and the beautiful night.”

The waiter brought Luna her meal and looked over at Twilight.

“Your meal will be finished in a few moments, thank you for the wait.” she said before walking back to the kitchen.

“What did you order?” Luna asked, nibbling on her food.

“A hay and grass sandwich. The usual for me, I come here often.” Twilight said, holding back a question she didn’t know if she should ask or not. Luna noticed that she was holding back something, from the look of her eyes.

“Something bothering you Twilight? You can ask anything. This is a open table.”

“Would this be considered a ‘date” Luna?” Twilight said, blushing slightly. Luna didn’t know what to say back.. So she would be up front about it.

“I would consider it to be so. I came here to meet you any way. So why not? Your a likeable mare.” she replied with a friendly face, before blushing in front of her. Twilight fell to the floor after that answer, making Luna laugh. Twilight got back up, and started laughing with her, feeling more relieved to get her feelings out to Luna. Same with Luna. The waiter brought Twilight’s food, and Luna got up and crossed over to Twilight, then kissed her on the cheek, sending the other guest around them to go into a shock. Twilight blushed and kissed her back, knowing that there was no turning back from this relationship.

Celestia was angry lately, from Luna’s “behavior” down in Ponyvile. Replying rudely to her letter, causing commotion at a public place, and trying to steal her ‘Faithful Student’. Her last reason wasn’t really true, in a way. Luna is only ‘dating’ her so far, not apply her as a student, but it was another reason to get mad at her. But, Celestia’s soft side hit her, making her forgive her sister. She brought over a quill and a scroll with her magic, and began to write:

“Dear Luna,

I hope you’ve been having a fun time down there. Stay as long as you want with Twilight, I do accept both of you together, it is quite cute. Hope you vist sometime! Your sister, Celly.”

Celestia walked over to the balcony which overlooked Ponyvile. Sending off the letter, she also looked at the sky, to see the night overcast above her.

“Quite a beauty you’ve created sister..” she said to herself. Sighing that it was her time to retire for the day. Making her way back to the room, she walked by Luna’s dark room. Peering in, no one was there. She picked up a picture of her by the bed side, and looked at it. It brought a tear to her eye, before setting it down. She retreated from the room before she could emotionally break down. Laying down in bed, she sighed and closed her eyes to a dreamless sleep.

Twilight and Luna had been spending a few days together now. Growing closer together, Luna seemed to want to never return to Canterlot, but to just raise the night down in Ponyvile, giving any and all ponies in the town a chance to see her powerful magic in action. All of the Mane 6 and Luna were in Twilight’s house for a important notice to all of them. Luna walked up in front of where the group was sitting. She coughed loudly to draw every ponies attention. Luna looked at Twilight for assurance that she could tell everyone, and took a deep breath.

“Twilight and I, are dating. I hope everyone is fine with this, ‘odd relationship’, but, we are happy together!” The whole crowd gasped and freaked out, and started to chat to each other, drawing attention to Twilight and Luna. Everyone gathering around them, they tried to answer all the questions they could for a few hours. After the commotion dying down, Twilight brought Luna into a embracing hug, soon to be group hugged by the rest of the ponies there. A while later, the party ended, everyone said their good-byes, and parted ways for the night, except for Twilight and Luna that is. The room was clean, thanks to all the ponies keeping in tidy, Twilight closed and locked the door and laid down on the couch.

“Glad your friends accepted us.” Luna said with a happy face. Twilight opoened one eye to looked at her.

“Oh ya, Luna.. Can I tell you something?”

“Of course Twilight.. Please enlighten me.”

“I love you..”

Luna’s blushed until her face became a crimson red.. She went over and laid down next to Twilight. Luna overslept as always, to not go out during the day time, but Twilight was up bright and early. She picked herself up off the ground, and looked over at the couch, to see Luna hogging it all. She had pushed her off! She was annoyed, but she couldn’t get mad over something as simple as that. Pulling over some saddle bags, she trotted off to Suger cube Corner, to grab the both of them some breakfest. As she walked in, Pinkie Pie threw her into a hug, which she quickly escaped from.

“Heh.. Hello Pinkie. The usual for two, please.” Twilight said nervously. Pinkie punched some button at the register to ring her up her total.

“No need to be nervous Twilight! We all accept you, oh, and your total will be twenty bits.” Pinkie said, comforting Twilight. She levitated the money onto the counter and trotted out the door.

“Have a good day Pinkie!”

“You too!”

Twilight returned home to see Luna waking up slowly to her arrival. Setting the box down at the table next to her, she trotted over to greet her partner with a kiss on the nose. Luna smiled and flapped her wings a little, noticing the box Twilight had brought in., peaking her curiosity.

“What’s with the box dear?” Luna asked. Twilight levitated the box over, and opened it, revealing some muffins.

“Muffins, I didn’t know which one you liked, so I just got blue berry. Is that fine?”

“Yes, that is very fine.. And very kind of you. Thank you.” Luna said, standing up from the couch. She stretched her legs and levitated over her muffin to nibble upon. Twilight looked up from her muffin, with a question on her mind.

“Why do you always nibble and sip, instead of eat and drink?” she asked, hoping not to anger her partner. Luna sighed and smiled, looking at Twilight.

“Well, Canterlot changes you. How yo act, eat, and such. Is that a problem?”

“No, I was only curious.” Twilight said, nuzzling Luna affectionately. She smiled at her shorter purple pony, and continued to nibble upon her muffin. Twilight moved closer to Luna, starting to cuddle with her. Luna rested her head on top of her, and wrapped her wing around. The both of them had a quiet break fest, and talked only with their emotions and actions. Nuzzling, cuddling, kissing, whatever came to their minds, they did, without words or questions. The afternoon was on the rise, and Luna stood up from the couch to face Twilight.

“C-Can we get me a dress? Just something that speaks for me. I just want to look nice.” Luna said. Twilight didn’t think for even a moment before saying,

"Sure. I'll go to Rarity's right away!"

And that she did. Luna was going to take a trip to Canterlot to plan something with her sister.

Luna’s flight wasn’t very long, she got there faster than expected. She approached the door and the guards on duty opened it without saying a word. Celestia was watching the horizon as Luna walked over to look also.

“Hello sister.” Luna said, causing her sister to hug her instantly from the sound of her voice.

“Oh Luna! Welcome back to the castle, but if I may ask, why are you here?”

“I’d like to plan something, something special.”

“Of course, what did you have in mind?” Celestia responded, levitating a empty book and quill over to their presence. Luna blushed slightly at what she was going to request.

“Well, first.. A big party for all the ponies in Ponyvile.. This weekend if that could be arranged. Just a nice get together and stuff.”

“Okay.. Anything else?”

“Well.. I’m going to propose to Twilight.. At this party.. So we need a wedding..”

Celestia’s jaw dropped at the sound of her students name. She walked out the room for a moment, stressing Luna out. Celestia came back levitating a beautiful crown, for newly married couples would wear. Well, the girls of course. But Luna’s eyes sparkled at the sight of it. Her partner would get to wear that beautiful, expensive piece of attire for the wedding.

“This is for Twilight. I have a special one for you too, but that will be revealed then, not now.”

Luna hugged her sister in joy, squeezing her. Celestia hugged back and stepped away, levitating a calender and showing the date her wedding will be. In exactly one month.

“You will get Twilight’s crown when the party comes this weekend.” Celestia said, putting it away.

“Alright.. Well, I best get back to Twilight, I don’t want to be away from her for too long.”

Celestia waved good-bye and Luna flew back to Ponyvile, taking a gander at the view. She landed at the library and it was almost night. Magic glowed from her horn and the moon raised a full. She turned to see her work and knocked on the library’s door. No response.

‘She must still be at Rarity’s. I’ll go check on her.’ Luna said to herself, galloping across town.

Twilight was watching Rarity’s progress, going slowly, for her to not make a mistake. Bringing her any goods she requested to complete the dress Luna wanted. A knock came from the door, and Twilight went and attended to it, as Rarity continued. She opened the door with her magic to see Luna’s mane flowing to the left of her.

“Luna? What are you doing here? I thought you were out on the town.”

“The sun’s setting and I rose the moon, and it’s dark out, and no one was at the library.”

“Sorry.. Here.” Twilight gave Luna the keys, “Go home and I will meet you there in a few hours.”

Luna kissed Twilight on the nose and trotted off. She closed the door and turned around to see the completed dress. Jaw dropped, she looked around it at it’s beauty. The night skies color, the purple stitching's, and a crescent moon pendant that connects the dress around her neck. It was perfect.

“Rarity.. Did you do this is that short of time?”

“Why of course dear! The princess needs it as soon as possible! And I have an order to fill soon, so I had to get this project done first.”

“Keep it here until the party, alright?”

“Okay. Will do.”

“See ya!” Twilight trotted out and went back to the Rarity. The moon was high in the sky, and it made Twilight smile every time she looked at it, to think of Luna. Getting to the library, Luna had let herself in, and was in bed. Closing the door behind her, creating a squeak, made Luna open one eye. Twilight entered and Luna arose to let her snuggle in.

“What a dear you are Luna..” Twilight said, cuddling her and laying down. They both drifted off into a long sleep.

Finally, after much anticipation, I got this chapter done after my first week back to school. Sorry about the wait everybody, but I had a sickness all week, holding me back from writing at my own desk, pretty bad to say the least, but I got it done to continue the saga of this amazing fan fiction in my opinion.

~The day before the party~

Luna was a absolute train wreck, preparing for when she was going to propose. Twilight seemed to notice her partners behavior and personality lately, making her worry. She wrapped her hoof around her, looking into her eyes.

“Are you okay Luna? I’m a tad bit worried.”

Luna shuffled away a little, trying to not break.

“It’s just.. The anticipation of this party.. I heard it’s going to be really good, making me worry. I got to socialize a bunch.”

Twilight raised a brow and stepped back. Curious why she said it, she continued to pressure her further.

“You came and just blatantly started talking to me and my friends, how are you still shy?”

“Just.. I was held back a lot when I was a filly, Celestia never wanted me to go to the Grand Galloping Gala, and this party is similar to that. I was the one who planned this party with her.”

Twilight smiled and hugged her partner, and walked off. Luna sighed and went out the door to go see her dress. Teleporting to Rarity’s, she walked right in without question to see her dress. Rarity tried to hide it but Luna lifted the covers with her magic.

“Princess! You are not supposed to see it yet! This is for tomorrow!” Rarity shouted, pulling the covers back over.

“I-I’m sorry Rarity.. I was anxious to see it..” Luna said with a frown. Rarity was wrecked at how she had just acted toward the princess.

“No no no.. I should be sorry for yelling at you, punish me if you wish.” She replied, clenching her eyes shut to what horror Luna could cause. She did not want to punish the young mare, instead, thank her.

“Tis’ fine Rarity. You had the right too, but I got to see my dress, and that was enough. Thank you.” Luna said, Rarity opening one eye just enough to see that she was not in trouble. Luna trotted out and Rarity let out a sigh of relief.

‘What was I thinking.. Making poor Rarity stress out like that..’ Luna thought to herself.

The party was approaching Luna like a brick wall, and it taunted her in the back of her mind. Could she bring herself to propose? Will Twilight become a secondary ruler of Canterlot because of this? She never put enough thought into it, making her worry about what Celestia might do if something doesn’t go accordingly to her expectations. These bad thoughts were pushed out of Luna’s mind and she carried on in life, to go check on preparations. Taking off from the ground, a circle of dust way left on the ground. All the ponies looked skyward to see the beautiful princess fly through the air. She looked down and looked at the whole town being decorated by everypony, but mainly Pinkie Pie, as she was put in charge to put this party together by Celestia herself. Seeing as everything was okay, Luna went around the city to check upon everything for a few hours. Seeing as everything was in order as usual, she went back to Twilight’s to talk with her for a while. Entering the library, Twilight was in a pile of books. It was a funny sight to see Twilight under so many books, but to Luna, is was cute. She levitated some books away to see Twilight’s face, making her look up.

“Hello Twilight. I suppose you are ready for the big party tomorrow?” Luna said, sitting the books down next to her.

“Why of course Luna! It’s going to be fun, and I’ll get to spend more time with you.” Twilight said, with a smile. Luna winked at her, and went to bed, to rest for the day ahead.

~The day of the party~

Luna awakened and rushed out the door to Rarity’s for her dress. She slowed down her pace, not to draw any attention before the big ‘moment’ later. Knocking on the door lightly, Rarity soon opened to let the princess in. She levitated the dress over and put it on Luna, securing any straps that might come unloose during the day. Getting settled into her dress, she twirled around admiring it.

“Tis a beauty Rarity.. I’ll make sure your paid handsomely for this.” Luna said with a smile. Rarity’s mind went blank for a moment before flashing back into reality.

“No need to pay me for it. My gift t-”

“I insist Rarity!” Luna interrupted Rarity, “This is the most magnificent dress I’ve ever seen. Your work is appreciated, and I would like to pay you.. About two thousand bits. That should do!”

Rarity’s jaw hit the floor at the generous amount Luna was giving for her work. Luna left with her dress on and went to the library to meet with Twilight before the party. Tracking across town, all the ponies were waving and saying hello as she flew on by. After about several minutes, she made it to the library and calmed herself down. She entered in and Twilight was busy as a bee getting ready for the party. Luna put a hoof on Twilight’s shoulder, making her turn around to see her face, sighing in relief.

“Luna.. I must be an absolute wreck, what are you doing here, shouldn’t you be in town?”

“I came to check on you before it began.. Just to make sure you are ready.”

“R-Ready? For what?”

Luna grinned as she was not going to spoil the moment later, only to hide it for the time being..

The party had started, all the ponies in Ponyvile were in the town square having a fun time, socializing, and doing whatever their hearts desired. Luna was talking to the Cutie Mark Crusaders: Sweetie Belle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo.

“We havn’t gotten our cutie marks yet. that makes us stand out!” Scootaloo exclaimed. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle whispering behind her.

“Well, I’ll tell you, I was a stand out too. I’m an alicorn, or a pegasis and unicorn combined. I was also kept secret and anti-social due to me being protected to carry the king and queens legacy as Celestia and I came to power.”

“But didn’t you come back just recently from being banished to the moon by your own sister, your own flesh and blood?” Sweetie Belle spoke out. Luna was ticked at what the young filly had said, but it was true. She had developed a hate for her sister, but she couldn’t stay mad forever, but she had just came back about a week or two ago, and adjusted right into society.

“It’s fine. She’s family and that’s all that matters. Now run along fillies.” Luna said, watching the trio go on. She took a sigh to only be startled by a hoof tapping her. Quick to turn around, it was only one of the Royal Guards.

“Celestia wishes to see you Luna. Follow me.”

And she did without question. Her sister must want to ask questions before the big moment later. They went through crowded spaces, tight ally ways until they came to the outskirts of the little town. Celestia was standing next to a case, and that peaked Luna’s curiosity.

“Here’s your proposal crown Luna. I hope she says yes to you dear.” Celestia said, levitating the box over to her. Luna put it in her saddle bags, under her dress, and smiled at her sister. They hugged and Luna went back into town, leaving Celestia to enjoy the rest of the day to herself until Luna did what she had to do. Getting back into town, she saw Twilight and Rarity talking to each other, when Rarity noticed Luna and waved her over to come over and talk.

“Luna darling! You like magnificent! Wouldn’t you say Twilight?”

“You look cute Luna..” Twilight said, blushing heavy. Luna also blushed and kissed her mare friend on the nose.

“Thanks, your such a dear.” Luna responded and kissed Twilight on the nose. both blushing, they gave each other a hug and Rarity noticed the saddle bags under. Luna saw Twilight away and Rarity seized the moment to find out about the bags.

“Oh Luna, what is that you have under the dress?” she pondered.

“Well, uhm.. Just carrying space for whatever, whenever you know? Hahaha..” Luna’s voice quivered after the laugh. Rarity didn’t notice Luna’s horrible attempt to cover it up and just went into the town. Luna sighed and went into town, to get lost in various games, conversations, and shops. Talking, buying, browsing, and all the ponies crowded to town hall, for Luna’s announcement. Mayor Mare walked up on the stage as every pony cheered.

“Welcome every pony! Ponyvile was given the generous opportunity to throw this massive party by the Princesses themselves, and here is Luna with an announcement to tell!” She said, before stepping off to the side as Luna took the podium. Having her magic focused on the crown under her dress, her heart raced and her head was becoming mentally nervous, making her legs shake slightly.

“I would like to t-thank everypony for a fabulous party today, and I would like to leave on one note.. Twilight Sparkle.. May you come up on the stage with me?”

All the ponies were curious as to what was happening, but Twilight pushed and shoved to get up to the stage. Luna looked and her and brought out the crown in a flash, and crouched down.

“Twilight Sparkle, will you marry me?”

...The crowd fell silent, shocked at what had just been said...

“Yes!” Twilight shouted, bringing Luna into a mouth to mouth kiss, making the crowd cheer and shout at the proposal. The chatter grew across the crowd.

It didn’t take long for the news to travel across all of Equestria. Within a few days, both of the sisters had mail stacks coming in by the bucket loads for congratulations, reservations, and even a few hate letters for it being two mares instead of a colt and a mare. As for how the wedding was going to be planned different for it could not have “Best Colt” and other variety's of that sort. There would have to be two sets of mare’s maids. The reservations were filled up in a matter of hours.

Luna was exhausted from writing and reading so many letters in one day, she decided to take a break and spend some time with her new fiancee. Walking down the corridors, she found her mare friend in her bedroom, resting on the bed, as it were already night. Luna hadn’t remembered rising the moon, Celestia must’ve done it for her when she was too busy. Crawling into the bed, the movement woke up Twilight slightly for her to adjust to her partner being next to her, tossing and turning over to cuddle. They pressed their bodies together, feeling the warmth of one another. Twisting and turning, they kissed, nuzzled, and did what their hearts content until they fell asleep for the night..

In the middle of the night, Twilight shifted awake, only to ask a question to Luna.

“Luna..?” she mumbled. Luna’s eyes sharply opened to the voice of her partners voice to respond.

“Yes Twilight?” Luna asked, adjusting to the darkness in the room to see her.

“I can’t believe I’m going to be part of the Rulers of Equestria.. It is such an honor.”

‘...Rulers of Equestria..?’ Luna thought. Twilight wants responsibility like that?! She’s crazy, plus, only an alicorn can rule, due to their features and past lore. It’s like a tradition. Luna didn’t know how to respond, so she would a have to confront Celestia about this the following day..
