Solution to the Problem
Spike was just sorting out Twilight's shelves in her bedroom on his normal day in Ponyville as one of his daily chores. As usual, he was finished with them in a jippy. He put his broom away, and went to fetch himself some apple juice. After he was done, he called out "Twi, i'm finished." Then he heard trotting coming from the hallway of the new castle
"Thanks, Spike. I appreciate it." said Twilight Sparkle.
"No problem. Anything for you as your number one assistant. is there any other work I can help you with, Twilight?"
"Hmmmm, no thanks, Spike." Said Twilight. "Why don't you go have fun around Pomyville?"
"You sure?"
"Hm-mmm"
"Okay. I suppose I can just relax and enjoy myself." Spike said. "I'll be back in a little, Twi."
"Okay Spike. See you in a little while." Twilight called back to him before he exited the crystal castle. Meanwhile, Twilight was looking on proudly at him through the door. "i am so lucky to have a little brother like you, Spike." she thought to herself.
He walked in the beautiful and peaceful town of Ponyville, and looked for anything fun to do, but no luck for a moment.
Nevertheless, he kept trying to look for anything fun and enticing to do to pass his time on his day off. As he kept walking, he saw Pipsqueak the brown and white colt with his daddy: "Braveheart." Looking at one another. He knew it would be a little rude, but he decided to just listen on what they had to say to one another, anyway.
"Wow, thank you deciding to join me on the father son picnic tomorrow." Pip said to him with happiness and excitement.
"For you Pip. I am always there for you." Braveheart replied boldly to him.
Spike really enjoyed this heartwarming sit of a father and son bonding really closely together. But, he noticed something..... Sad about it. He started to slowly feel some feeling of melancholy. He nodded his head rapidly, and went back to find something to do on his day off. He looked around and decided to go play a y type of game with Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle for a little while, then he thought that if maybe anypony else would like some assistance, even though it's his day off
It was nighttime and Spike was tucking himself in bed for a good night sleep. Now he was wondering if there was something missing. He had no idea why he would wonder a thought like that, it just came to his guts.
He didn't let that get in the way however, and just decided to go to sleep for the night. "Oh come on, Spike." He said to himself. "Twilight and my friends are my family."
He yawned and slept off on his own little dreamland. In his dream, he noticed two large figures with him. Two larges dragons, a green male and a purple female with him, by his side. Could it be? Could it actually be Spike's parental figures?
"Mom? D-dad?" Spike said in disbelief, about to tear up with pure happiness and joy for reuniting with his family.
"Spike. I never thought we would actually see you again." Said the male.
"We missed you ever so much, darling." Said the smaller female.
"It... It is you." Spike said, realizing that is IS them in the flesh. He gave them a great big hug, and the parents hugged him back with open arms on return. "I can't believe it."
"Neither can us, Spike. Neither can us." Said the father in a bold voice.
"You would not believe how long we were searching for you." Said the mother in a beautiful like how princess Celestia sounds like.
Now something was very wrong. Spike saw them slowly fading away, into oblivion. No Spike turned from happy and overjoyed, into pure horror and severe confusion. "What? What's happening?" He exclaimed with his hands on his cheek
"Remember, we will always be with you, son. Always." Said the father, who started to sound like a ghost or a spirit. Then, they were both gone.
"Mommy? Daddy?! Please don't leave me!" Said Spike
But it was no use, his parents just slowly disappeared into nothingness. Then he awoke with a fright, rapidly looking around to and fro. He hyper entailed and just realized it was just a dream, A really low down dream for him to have in his life. He begin to tear up and began to sob quietly on despair, and decided not to sleep at all.
The Next Morning
Twilight awoke with a cute yawn, and got out of her bed. She went out of her room, and decided to check on Spike to see how he slept.
"Spike?" Twilight called. "Spike, it's time to get up."
When she opened the door to her assistants room, she noticed him completely under the covers. What she heard was the sound of soft..... Sobbing. Now she was growing concerned for him, and was worried that something may be troubling him. She slowly lifted the covers from Spike so that she can see him
"Spike?" She said softly to him "what's wrong?"
The baby dragon stopped his sobbing for a brief moment, and looked at Twilight, his lips were quivering and a few spots of water from his tears. "Nothing Twilight." He whimpered. "I'm fine." Then he slowly covered himself with his bed sheets again, and continued sobbing quietly.
"Come on, Spike. Tell me. What's the matter?" Twilight pulled the covers off of him again, but this time, a little more faster than she did the first time. She slowly sat on the be, next to Spike, hovering her wing over him for some comfort. "Did you have a bad dream?"
"I.... I... i just need to be alone. Please. I just need to... wallow." Spike sobbed and sniffed
Twilight's heart was about to break from the sight of how Spike was feeling. She was highly reluctant too, but she decided to just give him some space as he requested. "Alright." She said. But please. Talk to me when you feel like it."
"Okay." Spike said. He continued his soft sobbing as Twilight got off hi bed and looked at him one last time before she went out of his room. She felt like shedding tears herself, just looking at Spike in anguish like that is jut too heart wrenching for her to bear. She went outside and decided to call her friends to a meeting about this situation.
As she was out in the fresh air. She noticed Fluttershy just walking along the road in the Southeast corner of town. She was just in luck as it saved her the trouble of finding her since Fluttershy was Twilight's first choice of who to look for. She ran up to her in a fast run and called out "Fluttershy! Wait up!"
The cute yellow pegasus looked behind her and noticed one of her best friends. "Oh Twilight, hello." She said kindly.
"Hello." Twilight replied. "Listen, I have a problem."
"What's wrong?"
"It's.... it's about Spike. He.... he's depressed right now, and he is till in his bed."
"What?" Fluttershy said. "Oh my, poor Spike. What should we do about this?"
"Well, first thing's first, we need the others to help us too." Said Twilight. "Yo just saved me the trouble of looking for you. Now we need the others."
"What about Pinkie Pie?" Fluttershy suggested."she lives around the corner, and so does Rarity."
"Right. Let's go." Twilight instructed.

Now Twilight and Fluttershy have the gang all together with them. Now they were heading to the castle to check on Spike. "So, what's wrong with Spike?" asked Rainbow Dash
"I don't know." Twilight said. "I just found him on his bed crying and such. He said he needed to be alone for a while."
"Well I really hope we can do something about little Spikey-whikey." said Rarity. "I hate it when he is like this."
"We all do." said Applejack.
"I really hope that we can help him." said Pinkie Pie.
"I hope so too." said Fluttershy.
They set foot in the castle, and followed Twilight to Spike's bedroom. Hopefully, Twilight is correct that he is still in there on his bed. She slowly opened the bedroom door, creaking, and she was absolutely correct. He didn't move a muscle , and was still sobbing quietly under the covers.
"Spike?" said Twilight, walking over to the bed to check on her number one assistant. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine." Spike replied. "Just fine." however, by the sound of his voice, he was the exact opposite of "fine."
Twilight lifted the covers off of him again so that she can see him. Just as she suspected, he was still sobbing in his bed, tears streaking down the side of his face. "Go away." he said sadly as he pulled the covers over him again so that he wouldn't have to look at Twilight and the others.
"Spike come on, what's the matter?" asked Fluttershy
Spike realized that they won't leave him in peace until they find out the truth. He had no other choice but to tell them what was bothering him so much. He eased his sobbing for a moment, and then he took the covers over him so that she can face them. "Alright, last night I.... I...."
"Yes?" the all said in question
"I had a dream. about.... well..."
"Yes???" they all repeated
"I had a dream, about my parents, and who they are." then he started to quietly break down into tears once again. "there, I said it. You all happy now?" he hid himself under the covers again, wallowing in his misery
"Oh Spike." said Twilight with sympathy. She sat right next to him on his bed, and tried to console him.
"What am I? Where did I come from? Who were my mommy and daddy anyway?" Spike sobbed
"I don't know, Spike." Twilight replied sadly. "I wish i did know, but I don't"
"I know. I know."
then Fluttershy stepped in to help, sitting on the other side of the bed on the opposite side that Twilight was sitting. "Please don't cry, Spike." she said very softly. "We really hate to see you like this."
"Yes, Spikey-poo, we just cannot bear to see you like this." Rarity added
"We are always there for you little buddy. Always." said Rainbow Dash.
"I know guys. I know." said Spike, sitting back up. "I also feel like a.... an outcast."
"Because you're the only dragon that lives in Ponyville, sugarcube?" asked Applejack softly.
Spike gave a sigh of guilt. "Yes." he replied with his head down. "I know you guys are my friends, but.... I really do feel like an outsider to all of you."
"You poor baby." said Fluttershy. She gently pulled him into a hug, showing him how much she cares about him. Spike began sobbing in her. "Shh, it's okay." she said soothingly
"Sorry." Spike said.
"it's okay."
then Rarity joined in on the hug. "I'm here for you, precious."
"So am I." said Rainbow, also joining in.
"Me too." said Pinkie.
"We're always there for you, sugarcube." said Applejack. Spike was really touched by how much they all cared for him by giving him a group hug, but the pain did not go away. He gave brief smile, but still, he was depressed on the inside.
"I do love you guys, but.... it's not the same." Spike said. "I just wish that.... that.... I can have another dragon living with me in my life. Not in a mean way, I.... I just don't want to feel like an outsider so much."
"We understand, Spike." said Rainbow Dash. "We're sorry that we don't know any kind dragons like you, little buddy."
"It's fine." said Spike. After the mane six broke their hug and got off of him, the baby dragon then got out of bed. "I just need to think." He said.
"Spike wait." Said Twilight, trying to stop him. She however was stopped by Applejack.
"Let him go, Twilight. Let him do what he wants to do." Applejack said
Twilight was highly reluctant. But she sighed and fully complied with her. As Spike left the room, Twilight began to shed a few tears.
"You okay, Twilight?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"I'm fine. I just can't stand to see Spike be all depressed like this." Twilight replied sadly.
"I really wish that we can show him that he is not an outcast to all of us or all of Equestria." Said Rarity.
Then, Twilight began to develop an idea. He eyes started to grow wide. "I think I have an idea." She said.
Then the spirits of her best friends were also lifting. "What's that?" Said Rainbow Dash
The purple Alicorn gestured her hooves to her cronies to huddle up for what she might say, as if she wants it to be a surprise for Spike. She made many whispered to her friends, then they all exclaimed "What?!"
"You want to do..... THAT?" Asked Fluttershy. Becoming very worried and scared by this idea. "But, what if you..... You know."
"Don't worry, Fluttershy. I would never do that to you, or anypony." Said Twilight
"That is still certifiable." Said Rarity
"Yeah, that's just crazy. Crazier than ME even." Pinkie added
"Are you sure you want to do that, Twilight? What would everypony else think about you? What about Celestia, Luna, and Cadence?"
"They'll understand why I will do this." Twilight said. "They might be scared at first, but everypony else will get used go me. I promise you since I am a princess of Friendship after all.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Twi?" Asked Applejack
"I am sure." Twilight replied. "I really want to make Spike happy and see a smile on his face."
Her friends were really reluctant about this, but they decided that if this is what Twilight wants to do, they will accept it, whatever it may be, of course.
"We might not like it, but.... If you REALLY want to do this, I can accept that," said Fluttershy
"So can we." Said Rarity.
Twilight smiled, really happy to have friends like these ones. "Thanks, guys." She said. "But we might as well keep it a surprise for Spike for a little while. So you don't mind if you stalled him for at least.... Ten fifteen to twenty minutes, do you?"
"Don't worry, Twilight. You can count on us!" Pinkie exclaimed with excitement.
"Of course. Will this spell take so e time?" Asked Rarity
"Maybe it will maybe not, but it is highly unpredictable. Rainbow, I will have Owlicious send you a note from me when I am ready."
"Check." Said Rainbow proudly.
"Alright girls, let's help out our friend Spike here." Said Applejack. They all exited the room, while Twilight went up to the library to see what books could help her get whatever she is she might do a little faster.
Meanwhile, the five friends found Spike sitting of his small throne in the large castle conference room upstairs.
"Spike?" Said Fluttershy."
"Yeah, what us it?" Spike said in a sad voice, tapping his small fingers on the side of his throne.
"We all know how you feel, but would you like to come with us to the cafe so that we can get a bite of someone to eat, you haven't had any breakfast this morning." Fluttershy suggested.
"Wellll... Alright. But I don't know what good it will do." Spike said
"Don't worry Spike. Everything will be just fine, darling." Said Rarity. Even Rarity couldn't try to get Spike's spirits back up to how he is supposed to be.
"Yeah. I know." Spike said. He slowly got up from his throne and said "okay let's go."
The five all smiled at him, and walked through the downstairs corridor.
"Wait, what about Twilight?" Spike asked
"She ummmm... She has some reading to do." Said a rainbow with a nervous smile
"As usual." Said Spike in a cynical voice,
"Oh come on, you got us." Said Applejack
"I know. I know." The baby dragon continued to follow them downstairs to the cafe. He did not know how this could possibly cheer him up, but he will see in dew time after a little while.

At the cafe, everypony at the table was eating their breakfast, including Spike. Nevertheless, Spike was still as depressed as before.
"How are you pulling through, Spikey?" Asked Pinkie in a happy voice.
"Oh you know. Just wishing I can see my actual parents." Spike replied in his sad voice. "So no, I am not doing so good."
"Come on, Twilight. What is taking so long?" Said Applejack in her head.
Out of nowhere, Owlicious was flying to them with a scroll in his talons. It must be from Twilight, after all, who else has Owlicious as a companion?
The owl hovered over the table and dropped the scroll on it, then flew back to the castle.
The five looked at e letter, and it read "Guys: meet me back at the castle immediately. I have some friendship meeting to discuss with all of you."
"Friendship meeting?" Spike said. "But your cutie marks aren't glowing."
"Well uhhhh, hers is. Yep, this is something she has been summoned alone." Said Rarity.
"What she said." Said Rainbow Dash
"Alright alright. I believe you all." Spike said. "Let's just go home." He got off the seat and followed his friends back to the castle.
"As you wish, Spike." Said Fluttershy,
"So, does she really have to do this alone?" Spike asked
"That's what she said," said Applejack. "But before she would leave, she said she has a present for you to cheer you up."
"Really? Well, whatever it is, I don't think it can help me." Spike said cynically.
"Oh we think differently." Said Fluttershy with a smile. When the finally made it back, they all went into the castle, and noticed that it was a little quiet.
"Hold on, Spike. Twilight wants to see me for a minute. Be back in a sec." Said Rainbow. She swiftly flew up the stairs on the speed of light, then after teen seconds, she flew back down.
"Twilight said she wants you to close your eyes."
"It's a surprise!" Pinkie sung
"A really big surprise," said Fluttershy,
Spike was a little annoyed, but he clamped his eyes shut anyway.
"Good, now just walk with us, Sugarcube." Said Applejack. While his eyes were shut, Spike was riding on Rainbow's back so he wouldn't get hurt.
It really felt like a long time, but when they finally made it upstairs, the door opened as Spike heard his friends, minus Rainbow, gasp with surprise." Now he was starting to get curious
"Okay, Spike. You can open your eyes now." Said Futtershy
As Spike got off of Rainbow's back and opened his eyes, he gasp and look absolutely stunned at what she saw. Twilight Sparkle as a medium sized beautiful female dragon with a slender body, and her scales that have the exact same colors of her mane, including the pink strip as a color on one of them.
She also had two small horns on her head, and her chest had her cutie mark symbol on it.
"Twilight?" Spike said. "Is.... Is that you?" Spike said, absolutely amazed
"Of course Spike. It's still me." Twilight chuckled with a smile
"W.... What is is?" Then he started to smile
"Well, I figured that since you feel like an outsider, I thought that maybe I can help you with that problem." Twilight answered. "So I thinks should be a dragon so that we can be a family more."
Spike felt so touched and very happy., probably at his happiest in a long time since the time Rarity gave him a long kiss. "You.... You did this? For me?"
"Yes Spike. Come here." She opened up her arms and waited for a hug from her brother. She felt the weight of the baby dragon clamping onto her as she heard tears of joy from him
"I... I thank you for doing this Twilight."
"You are very welcome Spike." Twilight replied, shedding one or two tears herself.
The five at the door looked at them, very touched by this warm moment. Fluttershy began to shed a few tears of joy, as did the others, including Rainbow Dash.
"Come on, we might as well leave these two alone in their privacy." Said Rarity wiping a tear.
"Hey girls? Thank you for accepting this." Said Twilight
"You're welcome." The five replied to her. Then they went down the stairs and out of the castle, leaving Spike and Twilight alone in their moment
Twilight broke her hug and gently held Spike in her new dragon hands. She might not be very big like adult dragons, in fact. She is a teenager, she can still hold Spike in her new hands.
"So you really did this for me?" Spike asked once again.
"Of course. We are a family." Twilight replied. "I couldn't stand to see you like this. I also couldn't stand to see you depressed about your parents. So I figured that with another dragon in your life, maybe you can be more happy wi your life."
"Thank you so much, Twilight this is so nice of you. But... What about Celestia, and the others in Ponyville, Canterlot, and all of Equestria?"
"Shhhhh, don't worry. They will be fine. They still like me. Nothing will ever change that, even if I a, a dragon now."
Spike smiled again. "Can you at least still do some magic?" Spike asked
"Of course. I can just use it with my fingers from now on. Besides I didn't really use a spell, I drank from a potion that can make me a dragon for an infinite time, unless I drink a potion that can change me back, but..... I kind of like being a dragon. I did it all for you."
"Wow." Spike said
"I.... I love you, little brother."
"I love you too.... Sis." Then they both hugged again, now looking like true sob,Inge. Both shedding tears of happiness.
