Relaxation
It was a Friday afternoon and Adagio's fingers tightened around the glass cup in her hand drinking orange juice in her hand, enjoying her peaceful sanctuary which was under her towel. It was the annual Canterlot High Spring Break that was being hosted by and for the students who attended the school.
"*Sigh* finally a week of relaxation" Adagio said happily leaning back in her chair as she tilted her beach hat down, covering her face to protect her skin against harmful UV rays coming from the sun high in the sky. She was relaxing until a certain blue haired figure walked up behind the chair and stared at Adagio upside down.
"Adagio!" Sonata waved with her left hand while munching a hard shell taco with her right hand, Adagio raised an eyebrow.
"Where did you get that?" Adagio asked.
"I won it at a bulls-eye game against snips, he had no reward to give me so he gave me this taco, isn't that the coolest thing!" Sonata said eating the meaty treat, consumed by her taste buds.
"Of course..." Adagio said, rolling her eyes due to Sonata's fascination with tacos, she didn't even know that Sonata was good at bulls-eye.
"Where's Aria, I haven't seen her since she left the hotel room?" Adagio asking another question to Sonata.
"She's playing a game of Volleyball against Rainbow Dash." Sonata shrugged, finishing her taco. "Can I hang out with you?" Sonata said as she sat on the ground, Adagio groaned and buried her face in her hat.
"Why don't you go play with Pinkie Pie in the sand over there or something?" Adagio suggested politely, gritting her teeth because of her presence, Sonata stared at the pink haired girl not too far from where they were at.
"Sure! I think she needs a friend to be with, and I think I'm that friend!" Sonata said pridefully as she stood up and ran over to Pinkie Pie"
"Thank god she's gone..." Adagio sighed, continuing to look at the sky that was colored with a light blue feature, followed by a few sprinkled clouds and seagulls soaring above, the Canterlot High students were having a great time. Photo Finish was taking a picture of Bulk Biceps, who has Sweet Leaf and Rose Heart on his biceps as they were showing a carefree expression while Photo Finish was taking pictures of them having a good time, Adagio smiled slowly, continuing to drink her orange juice.

"BEST TWO OUT OF THREE!" Aria screamed at Rainbow Dash, who had a cocky smile on her face, the two were playing a not-so-friendly game of volleyball. Also, having developed a fierce rivalry over the past few months proving who is the most athletic.
"Hmmm no." Rainbow dash said, picking up the ball.
"Why not, you scared you might lose to me!" Aria said taunting the rainbow haired girl, Rainbow Dash frowned.
"You're the one to talk, you lost the last two games, you just want to play me again so you won't feel weak!" Rainbow Dash said, Aria rolled her eyes, Aria sighed and covered her face with her hand.
"But what are you going to do now?" Aria said scratching her head.
"I'm going to help Scootaloo swim, she asked me before we came to the beach today."
"Oh okay". Aria said shrugging, knowing that the two had a sisterly bond, Rainbow walked toward Aria and raised her hand.
"Good game Aria" Dash said politely, Aria hesitated, but shook her hand, she knew she had to be a good sport.
"Yeah, good game..." Aria said smiling. Dash left and Aria stood all alone on the volleyball beach court.
"Now what I'm I going to do..." Aria thought to herself while stroking some sand in her hand.

Sonata Dusk and Pinkie Pie were making sand castles, the two seem to get along with each other during the whole year. When it's usually sitting with one another in lunch or helping each other with homework, they always had the perfect chemistry of being outgoing, loving parties, and always smiling.
"What are you making Pinkie?"
"Hmmm, I don't know..." The pink haired girl said, fiddling with some sand in her hand, "What are you making?".
"A Taco Castle, it's going to be the best castle in the world!" Sonata proudly said while making her masterpiece, Pinkie Pie just giggled at her friend, she just has this fascination for tacos that no one can explain clearly, Sonata stood up ran to the ocean with her bucket, she scooped up some water and brought it back to where she and Pinkie were.
"Why do you need water?" The pink haired girl asked.
"So I can make the sand stick with each other." Sonata said smiling while rubbing the cold water on the hot structure to make it stick like glue.
"HOW COME I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT?" Pinkie thought while making her castle, they continued building their castles for a few minutes until a red creature crawled near Sonata without her knowing and did the unbelievable.
"OUCH, what the heck!" Sonata groaned, she turned around and saw a red crab that pinched her bikini bottom.
"Ewww, gross!" Sonata said disgusted, "Who knows where those claws have been?". Pinkie just looked and screamed so loud that the entire beach resort can hear them.
"Don't worry friend, i'll save you!" Pinkie grabbed the crab and without hesitation, threw it as far as she could into the ocean as possible, Sonata was relived.
"Thank you Pinkie Pie, that crab was really pervy for some reason..." Sonata said giggling.
"Your welcome buddy, I can't stand crabs." Pinkie Pie said to the blue haired girl, they were making their holes to place their castles when a shy girl walked gingerly towards them.
"Have you guys seen him?"
"Seen who?" Sonata and Pinkie both said in unison.
"Hermi, he's a crab that I just found, I was going to take care of him during our vacation here" Fluttershy said quietly, Sonata and Pinkie just looked at each other, giving the "Let's lie look...".
"Oh, we don't know, he probably crawled up somewhere." Pinkie said, shrugging, pouring sand on her almost made castle.
"Y-yeah, what she said." Sonata said, chuckling nervously, Fluttershy sighed.
"Oh well... I better look for him someplace else, thank you." The light haired girl said, leaving the two of them.
"Pinkie, you're so evil!" Sonata said laughing while she threw some sand on her.
"Heh-heh, yeah..." Pinkie said, twiddling her thumbs.

It was the afternoon and the sun was quickly going down. Adagio was still sitting on her sunbathing chair, not doing anything since she arrived with Aria and Sonata, no one could really blame her, she deserves a lot of rest after a hard second trimester, being the only one in the Dazzlings who was working and making class presentations while Aria and Sonata just watched her, Adagio was relaxing peacefully until she felt soft fingers touch her back, Adagio turned around saw that it was Sunset Shimmer, one of her favorite best friend in the Rainbooms Band.
"Heey Adagio, mind if I sit in this chair?" Sunset said in a cheery mood.
"Yeah, I always love being close to you..." Adagio said grinning, Sunset's face turned red as she sat on the beach chair, she turned to Adagio to ask her a question.
"So... Whatcha doing?" Sunset said, twirling her red yellow hair.
"I'm just sunbathing..." Adagio said.
"All day?!" Sunset asked.
"Yep, pretty much." Adagio said while holding a lotion bottle, rubbing the oil on her stomach, Sunset just sighed.
"Come on Adagio, your seriously not going to just lay here all week, come on lets have some fun..." Sunset pulling Adagio's arm playfully, Adagio truthful side really wanted to spend time with Sunset in this beautiful spring resort, but her other just wanted to be lazy and sun bathe.
"I don't know..." Adagio pondered biting her lip.
"Please..." Sunset pleaded still tugging her arm, Adagio sighed and nodded slowly.
"All right fine, five minutes, just five minutes okay!" The Dazzling said groaning, but in her heart she squealed like a little girl.
"Yes!" Sunset grabbed Adagio's arm as they went to the beach ocean, Adagio tugged back.
"I'm not going in there, its probably to cold." Adagio whined, Sunset looked at her and then began to giggle.
"Come Adagio, are you scared or something." Sunset taunted.
"No... Its just that I don't want to get frost bite or something bad like that." Adagio said nervously rubbing her neck.
"Adagio, the waters fine, I went in there earlier, just follow my lead." Sunset assured, still holding onto her hand, they both went in set foot inside the beautiful clear water, Adagio felt a chill in her spine.
"S-sunset, the w-waters t-t-too cold..." Adagio said chattering her teeth.
"Yeah, and the sun is hot. Perfect balance." Sunset replied back, Adagio sighed. She didn't get time to complain any more, because Sunset's pulling her in, and goodness is the water cold, the cool breeze being a factor, Sunset could see the goosebumps forming on Adagio's legs as they went farther and farther away from the resort.
Sunset giggled at the look of pure consternation coming from Adagio's face.
"You do know you have an advantage over me in body heat, and do you see me complaining?"
Adagio groans in defeat, sloshing closer to her. "If you get eaten by a baby shark I'm not saving you with my powers" Adagio pouting while her red gem flashed.
"Fine... I never asked you to save me anyways." Sunset said, splashing water on Adagio's face.
After spending a good three hours an hour in the ocean looking at cute fishes and just swimming with each other, playing arcade games, and painting each other's nails. They decided to get out of the water so their skin won't become prune, Sunset grabbed her towel that was laying on her chair and began to dry herself.
"There, are you happy now!" Adagio said as she crossed her arms."
"You know you had fun with me..." Sunset laughed poking her cheeks, Adagio cheeks scorched with embarrassment as Sunset touched her and a corresponding shade of crimson discolored her otherwise flawless complexion.
"So what are we going to do next, might as well enjoy myself in this place" Adagio said softly.
"Well, let's go to my room, the sun is about to go down. We can play a little game there..." Sunset said, smiling, Adagio grinned and followed her, they arrived at the her room, Sunset closed and locked the door.
"So, what game do you have in mind?" Adagio question.
"Truth or dare..." Sunset said, smirking, the Dazzling gave her a glare.
"No." Adagio straightly said.
"Plus, there are some things I always wanted to know about you!" Sunset gave her puppy dog eyes, Adagio tried to look anywhere but the redhead. But finally she sighed and nodded. Sunset grinned in triumph, they sat on her bed with their legs crossed.
"Adagio! Truth or dare!?" Sunset smirked.
"Truth." Adagio smugly smiled.
"What was your most embarrassing moment?" Sunset asked, her full attention was on Adagio.
"I, uhh..." Adagio fiddled with her fingers.
"C'mon... I'm waiting." Sunset snapped.
"When I was six, I had a puppy." Adagio said blatantly.
"I named him scabs." She said. Sunset was dying of laughter.
"Shut up! I was six okay?!" Adagio scowled.
"What's the embarrassing part." Sunset question.
"I was at the neighborhood park, taking scabs for a walk. When he suddenly ran away from me. I screamed his name, everyone looked at me, disturbed, I even saw some of them call the police, it was embarrassing." She finished.
Sunset was literally dying of laughter, Adagio glared at her.
"Stop It! okay, it's my turn now, truth or dare?" she said.
"Hmmm, truth." Sunset responded."
"How did it feel to date Flash Sentry?" Adagio question.
"He was okay, but after a few months he didn't provide that spark that I needed, and he was pretty stubborn. Each time we went to the movies. We always argued about which one to see, after all of that, he always got to watch what he wanted, it was never my choice." Sunset sighed, Adagio was speechless, she always liked Sunset more than just a best friend, a girl like Sunset deserved to be treated like a queen.
"Wow, I'm so sorry Sunset" Adagio said, reaching and softly grabbing her hands.
"It's okay, thanks for listening to me, you're a really good friend." Sunset said, smiling, but inside her she wanted something else.
"Friend... Friend... Friend... Is that all I am." Adagio thought to herself.
"Truth or dare!" Sunset said.
"I want to do another truth." Adagio said sternly.
"D-do you have a crush on someone..." Sunset said, twiddling her fingers, looking down at the bed blushing, Adagio gulped to this.
"What am I suppose to say!?" Adagio thought paranoia if she should tell her what she actually thinks or just ignore it all.
"The truth." Adagio's conscience popped up and said.
"What is she going to think of me then?!" Adagio roughly asked back.
"Only one way to find out?" Her conscience answered, hinting at something she should do.
"Adagio? Hello?" Sunset said, waving her hand. "W-who's your crush?" Sunset asked slowly again.
"Sunset... (long sigh)" Adagio said softly, looking into her neon blue eyes while leaning in.
Before Sunset could react Adagio's lips were pressed against hers. Sunset was blushing massively and kissed back.
"I love you..." Adagio worked up the courage to say then slightly flinched at what Sunset would do to her since she kissed and admitted her love for her.
"That's what I wanted to hear..." Sunset said softly while smiling, her arms wrapped around her neck.
"So, um... Where do we go from here..." Adagio asked slowly while rubbing her neck.
"How about secretly dating?" Sunset suggested quietly regretting saying it instantly.
Adagio just leaned and hugged her, both of them falling flat on their back underneath the queen size bed, with the dazzling on top. Adagio slowly approached Sunset's body and kissed her neck, her hands roaming her figure, the redhead pushed her back.
"B-be careful, okay?" Sunset said, looking down, blushing intently, Adagio nodded slowly and slid down to Sunset's bikini bottom, she untied the strings, until their moment was ruined when she heard a knock on the door. They both sprang from the bed.
"Quick hide in the closet!" Sunset commanded, pushing her in, Sunset sat on the bed, repositioning herself and tying the strings, she cleared her throat.
"Come in..." Sunset said, Twilight Sparkle came in the room.
"Jeez, so this is where you've been hiding at, I've been looking everywhere for you" Twilight groaned.
"Oh, um, sorry?" Sunset said, chuckling nervously, Twilight just shook her head.
"Just come outside, me and the rest of the girls are preparing for a bonfire." Twilight said.
"I'll be there, just give me some time... You know, freshen up." Twilight said, looking at the closet, Sunset sighed.
"Just hurry up, the bonfire won't be the same without you." Twilight said, walking at of the room, closing the door behind her, Sunset sighed of relief and opened the closet, Adagio quickly hugged her.
"*sigh* that was a close one." Adagio said softly, Sunset returned the embrace and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I have to go now." Sunset said, tears were about to form in her eyes.
"Its okay, we have the rest of the week for ourselves, and I want to spend every moment with you, thanks for loosening me up, besides I think Aria and Sonata are probably looking for me." Adagio said playfully punching her arm, they shared one last passionate kiss until they left the room, happy that they have new feelings for each other.
