Bloody Night
It was Nightmare Night and all through Ponyville, ponies were dressed in their finest costumes. However, while they gleefully collected candy thought the night, a mare in a long black robe was sneaking through the streets.
"This place never seems to change." The mare mumbled to herself before taking off her hood, revealing it to be Princess Luna. She smiled as the cold night air swept through her mane. But her smile soon turned into a frown as she remembered her mission. "Stupid bat."
Yesterday, she and her sister were having a meeting with the Manehatten Mayor on trading deals. Before the mayor left however, she gave the sisters each a gift. For Celestia it was a Sun Burnt Spider, but for Luna it was a vampire bat.
The dark blue alicorn didn't mind her gift, but one of the maids accidently forgot to close the cage fully when she finished cleaning out the cage. So now, Princess Luna tracked the little rodent to Ponyville.
"Now, if I was a bat where would I be?" Princess Luna whispered to herself.
Suddenly, her attention was drawn to a choir of screams. Ponies were running past her with wide eyes; some even had a small mark on their body.
"We're all goanna die!"
"I've been bitten!"
"I feel the venom coursing through my veins!"
"Found it." Princess Luna said before taking off into the sky and heading towards the square.

As she slowly descended, the screams were even louder. Luna grimaced before covering her ears, trying her best to muffle the noise. Through her eyes, she scanned her surroundings.
Ponies were hiding under tables, grabbing pitchforks, and slamming into things while running away. Candy, apples, and water littered the ground along with the occasional fainted pony. However, what caught her attention the most was in the sky. Her bat, with long brown fur and black eyes, was circling above a small group of fillies. His little fangs were dripping in red.
"AHHHHH!!" The fillies cried.
Princess Luna trotted towards the fillies, her eyes glued to the vampire bat.
"Princess Luna?"
"She came to rescue us!"
"Can you save my mom before she gets turned into a vampire?"
The princess smiled at the wide eyed group before stomping her hoof and glaring up at the vampire bat. "Get down this instant! You had your fun, but it's time to go."
However, he only gave her a smirk before swooping down towards the fillies. Fangs extended.
"AHHHH!!" They screamed while trying their best to outrun the bat. However, one tripped on her fake monkey tail and face planted on the ground. She let out a groan and slowly tried to get up. Her leg was scratched up and she spit out a tooth.
"Stupid tail." She muttered before twisting her head to get a better glance at how far the monster was. When she saw that he was only a few feet behind, the filly jumped onto her feet and tried her best to canter away.
Princess Luna wasn't far behind. She galloped after the vampire bat, a cardboard box was floating just above her head. The alicorn shouted, trying her best to get the vampire bat's attention.
He slowed his flying and twirled his head around. The bat looked at his owner with raised eyebrows. However, he let out a cry once the cardboard box came into view. Letting out a shout, the flying rodent tried his best to fly away. He only made it a few feet before the box came over his body.
"Gotcha!'" Princess Luna shouted. She quickly closed the lid before returning her attention to the injured filly. "Are you okay young one?"
The filly nodded before walking towards the princess. Her big orange eyes glued to the shaking box. "What are you going to do with it?"
"Take it home, after all it is my pet." Luna explained while placing the box onto her back. "And don't worry, just because he bites you doesn't mean that you'll turn into a vampire."
She nodded her head before cracking a smile. "It was kinda cool seeing your pet flying around. I felt like I was in my favorite horror movie, sorta."
Princess Luna gently patted the filly's head. "I'm glad you enjoyed it young one. I have to go, but I'll make sure that my royal cleaning crew comes to pick things up."
"Like when all those monsters attacked?"
"Yes, like when all those monsters attacked."
The filly giggled before stepping away from the alicorn, allowing Luna the room to teleport. Princess Luna gave a quick wave before enveloping her body with magic. Soon, only the filly remained in the town square.

"Well I hope you're happy." Luna grumbled while placing a dead mouse inside her pet's cage. "How am I expose to explain the ruckus you caused tomorrow?"
She slumped into her bed and let out a sigh. "Why couldn't I get something easy to take care of? Heck, I'd be just as happy if that major gave me a rock."
The vampire bat slipped through his cage and glided over to Luna. He nuzzled her chest before looking into her eyes. Princess Luna couldn't help but smile as she carefully stroked his head.
"Maybe you aren't so bad." She whispered.
Then the vampire bat used his fangs to make a small cut in her chest.
"WHY YOU LITTLE!" Luna wrapped the vampire bat in her magic before opening the windows and throwing him outside. Then she quickly closed them and pulled the curtains over.
"Stupid bat."
