After a near death experience, and having her life changed, Vinyl has to deal with the fact she is now a Vampony. Broken and torn, Vinyl goes on a journey seeking vengence. Will she be able to stop the rouges before it's too late?
After a night of doing DJ work at a club in Canterlot, Vinyl almost gotten murdered and has a near death experience after being stabbed in the remains of the library in Ponyville, but learns her life was saved by a mysterious pony.
Upon waking up in the hospital and learning her eyes are sensitive to the sun for some unkown reason, she learns her life has now different, REALLY diffrent, but soon she learns why, which causes her life to completely turn around, and worse, change. Realizing she is now a vampony, Vinyl must cope with her new self and hopes she doesn't hurt anyone innocent.
Broken and torn apart, Vinyl promises vengence on the one that tried to have her murdered. However, upon learning why she was targeted to be killed, and it's connected to the great Vampony leader that was murdered, and a enemy that was responsible for trying to have her killed, it's up to Vinyl to end what the leader couldn't. WIll Vinyl be able end the rouges, or would Vinyl become a rouge herself from her vengeful bloodthirst.

Through the land of Equestria, folk tales have been told from generation to generation. Every new folk tale become, tales during each millennium. While there believers of the superstitions within the tales that make them believe they are real, some don't belive calling em nothing, but fairy tails told to the younger of each new generation. However, one tale, still lives on, and is rumored to be real.
While there are three pony tribes, Earth, who roam the land providing crops, Pegasi, who help with the weather, and Unicorns, whom use their magic, there are also Alicorns, who rule the land with peace. Unknowingly, there is a fifth race known to existed sometime around for a couple centuries, they call em, Vamponies.
Through believers they state that Vamponies have been given immortality when a pony becomes one. While Luna was imprisoned, a war, was kept secret. all of Equestria never knew of the war, except for one, Princess Celestia.
While the war was out of public attention and unable to be put in papers, the war reached it's Climax and those who were responsible for the war were executed and stripped from immortality. Fearing the public wouldn't like to hear the existance of the spieces of ponies, Celestia cleverly signed a peace treaty with the leader of the Vamponies secretly without media attention, and allowed them to roam and live in Equestria, but with a vow not to break the treaty.
However, it all changed when a group of rouges were made. While trying to keep the peace treaty in balence, Celestia created a team of individuals to take action if anything occured. However, the leader on the other hand, Wave Sonar, kept the peace treaty intact with his trusty weapon, The Silver Sword of Light. Little did Celestia known that the unthinkable happened, Wave Sonar was killed by another Vampony.
Years, Centeries, and a Millennium went by, and peace was seemingly going on for the Mortals. However, the Vamponies have been trying to stop the rouges. Unkowingly, to the Vamponies trying to keep the treaty intact, one mortal seemingly turns out to be the Legendary Vampony, and our story begins with a new Vampony, and a stallion, who has ruined her life.
Present day
In the midst of the night, the town of Canterlot was sound asleep. through the past few months, so many events happened that cause Equestria to discover something that was left sacred to royalty. Through those months, the events caused a mysterious race to be shown to the public eye, one that was only said to exist in the urban legends.
In Canterlot Prison, a Pony was looking at another in their cell. One that commited such sinister, that all of Equestria was almost put in danger. Looking at this pony made the other feel satisfied. As she turned around, she began to walk away from the cell while keeping her Sword in her sheath on her, with a face that looked pleased and looked like she did something she felt was right, but a sense of fear.
When she left the prison, she begin to walk with another pony who looked worried, such worry that it was like the other did something wrong, as they walked, the other, who appeared to have Fangs look up at the sky with her eyes feeling regret over her actions. All she could think of, is what her decsion was. A decision that might of been hard for her.
"I...I can't believe this. These past months, for a while now I question how I got involve in this mess. All these events, ponies trying to kill me, and even a long secret thats been hidden in my family. All leading to one thing being a connection? This is one thing I will NEVER forget. All the years of being a DJ and having a ton of fans, never thought that one month many months ago, would be one month that change my life forever and who I am today."
Few Months ago, A Nightly attack
The night in Equestria is the calmest times during days. Amongst the night, while some ponies slept during quietness of the night, Ponies sometimes go out for night strolls, while others have night shift jobs. Knowing the night, they are well known to be dangerous at times, while sometimes, mysterious ponies sometime roam the night.
In Canterlots finest club, many come to drink, have fun, and even, meet the finest Dj, Vinyl DJ-Pon3 Scratch. Today, Vinyl was Djing for the club, however, it was no oridnary Djing, it was a surpise that nopony saw coming, a DJ Duet. Dispite the devotion that ponies have for Vinyl, Octavia gotten a chance to do a DJ Duet with Vinyl. Loud Cheers were heard, the Duet was very amazing, even with the Chello, to the partiers and people who are listening to Vinyl and Octavia preform, it became the best Night ever. "We love you Vinyl!" everypony shouted.
"Everyone loves DJ-Pon3, YEAH!"
While the party was happening, a suspicous figure in a cloak was outside. However, one thing was not right, this pony had fangs, and red eyes. From what was seen, it was staring at Vinyl, with a menacing, and vicious stare. Judging my what it looked like, it wasn't good. The figure then got out a Crystal and touched it, and it started to protray another stallion, whom bared a Dark Red coat and and a black and red mane. "Master, I found the target." He said sinisterly.
"Excellent Sand Storm, however, wait till she is somwhere no witnesses can see her die. Are we clear?"
Sand looked at him with a sinister smirk. "Yes master, I will call you when the deed is done."
With his next task assigned, Sand put the Crystal back in his robe and watched. As he watched the party already has finished. Ponies were walking out and going to their homes as he hid. Not only that, but as usual at some clube parties, one of em usually comes out wobbling an trying to remain on their hooves who would look like they're intoxicated, however, this time, that didn't happen. Lastly, Vinyl and Octavia came walking out and began to head to the train back to ponyville; Sand began to follow. "You know, that was an amazing Duet we did." Vinyl complimented.
"Ugh, Vinyl, you know how I feel about doing these things."
Vinyl rolled her eyes. "Come on Tavi, you know it was fun."
"What did I tell you about calling me that in public?"
This made Vinyl Blush embarrassingly. "Oh, heh, sorry."
As they walked, Sand made sure not to spook em or blow is cover. When they reached the train station, Sand went ahead and gone to Ponyville, to prepare for his attack. As Vinyl and Octavia got on the Train, they sat by the window. With the train going, Octavia saw the full moon, normally, she never looked up at the moon when Nightmare Moon was on it, but, the moon reminded her of an old legend. To not be bored, Octavia told Vinyl about a urban legend. The legend states Vamponies roam the night. By day, its hard to tell who is a Vampony since it is believe that they find ways to hide themselves, while in the Midst of Lunas Moon till the rise of Celestias sun, the vamponies come out. In Vinyls mind, she never believed in the Urban Legends, she was a nonbeliever in the superstition.
Minutes past and the Train arrived in Ponyville. When Octavia and Vinyl got off, Vinyl and Octavia decided to go for a midnight. While walking around, Vinyl and Octavia begin to enjoy the quiet night in the town. Within minutes they were walking to what is now named the ruins of Golden Oak. Ever since the library was destroyed due to all records being destroyed, Vinyl somehow couldn't return her History of Dubstep in the Making book.
As they entered, unknowingly, Vinyl heard a third party enter. Turning around Vinyl saw a stallion Unicorn in a cloak with a sinister look. Octavia also turned around. Looking at his face, it seemed like he was a stallion that do bad things to mares in the middle of the night. Looking closely Vinyl saw him drawing a weapon. "W-what are you doing? You know your in public idiot."
All the Stallion did was laugh and looked at Vinyl. "You think there would be witnesses? Shame I don't have one target, but one to silent."
Remembering what to do in this situation, Vinyl began to fight. While fighting the pony, Octavia, who was witnesses this was frozen. However, in a act of surprised, and Octavia trying to find her voice from shock Vinyl was stabbed. "ACCCK" Vinyl yelped in pain, as she fell to the ground.
With Vinyl on the ground, she was breathing heavily. To her she felt like screaming, however, fear had her. She was in pain. At that exact moment, she saw her attacker. As he drew near this drew more fear down Vinyl. The Pony had a set of fangs as teeth and menecing lookin eyes, Vinyl cried, she was in danger. Suddenly, Vinyl screamed. "Octavia, Get Help! OW...."
Thinking fast Octavia nodded and ran towards the direction to the hospital. The attacker however didn't seemed to go after her, but stood with a vicious grin and looked at Vinyl "It's a shame that Equestria will not see their favorite DJ D......" Sand hissed as he gotten inturrupted and pushed by something.
While Vinyl was looking with tears and fear, she saw who came to her rescue, Another pony in a cloak, whom was beating up the other. It was like some kinda thing she sees in comics, however, it was reality, and it was like some kinda super pony. Unfortunately, one thing Vinyl saw, was something she never expected, it bit her attacker. After that, it came to Vinyls side and pulled the weapon out of her. "Stay with me miss." The stranger said.
"Cold....s-so....very C-cold."
Hearing this made the stranger worried. If he didn't do anything, the pony was going to die, by the hands of a dead murderer, which would result in a double murder. This was a serious life or death situation, and....the only option was one that Vinyl would hate. "Miss.....I can give you a second chance, I will be able to make you live if you let me do what I have to do to you. Either that, or it be too late." The Pony explained. "Trust me, I wont hurt you, I'll save your life, is it a Yes or a no?"
Hearing this, the pony lifted Vinyls head to where her neck is shown. As it was quick, his fangs transformed. Wastiing no time, he then bit Vinyls neck. To Vinyl she felt like screaming, but what ever he was doing, was seemingly doing something to her. After a while, Vinyl fell asleep. Wasting no time, the pony put Vinyl on his back, along with making a card appear and put it close to the corpse of the attacker in a spot where it can't be publicly seen for safety. Hearing the medical ponies and another pony coming, the stranger quickly changed back into normal pony form and went to Vinyl and felt her pulse. At that moment, the medical ponies came in. "Sir what is going on?" A Nurse asked.
"I just happened to be passing by and I saw this mare here almost die. I took care of the attacker, don't worry, I am planning on going to Canterlot and alerting Celestia about the attack. Right now this mare needs medical attention, stat."
When seeing the ruin, the Nurse, and the mysterious pony helped put Vinyls unconscious body onto the gurney. Wasting no time they hurried to the hospital, while the pony disappeared in the blackness of the night.
Reborn
Luckily, Vinyl was alive, the good news, the pony did something and saved her life, the bad, she ended up in a four day coma. Octavia was the first to hear that Vinyl is in a coma since she and Vinyl live together. When she saw Vinyl lying in the hospital bed, to her, her body seemed lifeless like. To her, it felt like Vinyl died, and felt like she was about to cry, luckily, the doctor told her she is in a coma.
During the day, Twilight gotten the calling card from the royal guards whom went to investigate what happened at the golden oak, which, turned out to be a calling card that had to be hidden from the public and media at all cost. She sent it to Celestia. Pinkie however, decided to throw a get well and recover party when Vinyl wakes up. As for Vinyls friends, and fans, they sent her gifts to her hospital room where she remained sleeping. To the doctors, they felt worried Vinyl would never get to see the light of day and pass away, but they kept hope that Vinyl wakes up.
Four days have past, and Vinyl was still out. However, late at night, Vinyl woke up. As she was waking up, she heard a voice. "Vinyl......" The voice said.
As Vinyl regained composer, she then saw a face look at her, which seemingly to be a stallion. "What is your name?" He asked
"...Vinyl Scratch"
"What is your race?"
".....Unicorn"
"Who is your friend you live with?"
"Octavia Melody."
Hearing this made the Stallion smile. It was a miricle Vinyl remembered everything. Usually, those who were saved had amnesia, but Vinyl was very lucky, probably the luckiest mare. As the stallion adjust Vinyls bed, Vinyl was looking at him. But, questions were going in her head, what happend and such. "Uggh......W-what happened?" Vinyl groaned
"You were attacked, and I saved you. You have been out for four days. Better take a look, but, try not to panic."
The Stallion left the chair and went and got a miror and bought it to Vinyl. As Vinyl looked in the mirror, she couldn't believe her eyes, or in this case, her new eyes. Her eye color has changed, and she now had Fangs. Seeing this, scared her. What ever happened to her, did something to her. "W-wha...: Vinyl said
"Relax, you said yes to to this, you were begging for a second chance, and, you gotten it. Your a vampony now."
The word Vampony hit Vinyl. To her, it felt like she just did something. As Vinyl turned she saw an IV, this made her panic. To prevent her from having to be Sedated, the Stallion walked up to her and calm her. "Don't scream, you don't want to get in trouble and end up being Sedated. Everything is fine" He assured.
As Vinyl was trying to figure out what was going on, it felt like some kinda a dream, a really bad dream. She closed her eyes and kept thinking to herself that its just a bad dream, a really bad dream. However, she was thrown off guard when the Stallion revealed he can read her mind. With Vinyl calming down, Vinyl looked at the Stallion who saved her. To her, he came out of the clear blue and rescued her. "T-Thank you.......what is your name?" Vinyl asked polietly.
"My name, is Val-Dun."
With that out of the way, Val then told Vinyl about the Vamponies. In the story, it is said that Vamponies were once a threat to Equestria, till the end of the war in 1617, a war that remained secret from the public eye, except for the war ponies and Vamponies. After the war, Val, and Princess Celestia signed a secret peace treaty to allow the Vamponies to roam freely, with a promise to no cause a violation to the peace treaty TIll the present, the peace treaty has been going on, and no violation happened. After concluding everything, Vinyl understood that being a Vampony would allow her to live. "So. Vinyl, there is some things you should know, one, your immortal. You won't be able to die unless you have been stabbed in the heart with something Silver or decapitated. Next, you have to feed on blood, luckily, I have gave you blood while you were in a coma, so, when your released, you need to suck blood. Most importantly, you need to sheild your eyes AT, ALL, COSTS, during the day," Val informed.
"So, is there anything else?"
"Yes, garlic, if you eat Garlic, you might die, but you have to get your stomach pumped, it does work after all."
As Val finished, he heard hoofsteps. Judging that it was the doctors, Val knew he had to get out. Since they are secret to the public. Quickly reacting, Val did something to vinyl so she can remain normal for the night. Just then, he pulled a crystal out, and put it in Vinyls saddle bag. "Vinyl, in case you want to talk to me, use this crystal, it will give you the ability to call me anytime. Anyway, I must get going." Val said as he disappeared.
At that moment, the doctor came in, and saw Vinyl was awake. The good news, Vinyl is getting released tonight. As the doctor did his final check up, he proceeded to go and fill papers out. Octavia then came in with a wheelchair and the doctors helped Vinyl on to it and put her saddle bags on her lap. With the paperwork all filled out, Vinyl and Octavia move out into the night and headed straight for home. Unkowingly to Vinyl, she had to keep her Vampony self a secret from Octavia. Fearing that it might ruin their friendship, she promised herself to not tell her, however, unkowingly to her, the day she would tell Octavia, is drawing near.
A memo to the ruler of the sun and all of Equestria, Dear Princess Celestia Today I write to you about your request about the mysterious attacks on the livings in Cities all of cross of Celestia. I like to inform you that this isn't all doing. Our team investigated areas where attacks were most common at, even where a loyal member died. The battle between what seemed to be doing of a rouge Vampony, The warning seen in the Vampony calling card. It seems that who ever is doing this seems to be at risk of costing the Treaty to be broken. More and More inocent ponies are being saved by what seems to be rouge ponies doings, ponies turning dark, and of course, the most recent attack on ....."her" in Ponyville late at night. Although we don't know who is responsible for these attacks, and the attacks seem to be happening alot, it is our duty, to make sure that the safety of everypony in Equestria is protected from these rouges, and show that we aren't a threat. Our highest priority is to protect the living from the rouge Vamponies by every means nessasary at all costs. All I ask is for help to find who is behind this mess.
From the leader of the Vamponies Val-Dun
3 days earlier
It was morning now, and Guards were in Ponyville, walking to the Golden Oak where Vinyl was stabbed and nearly killed. While the towns folk journalist were attempting to get into the crime scene to take pictures, the Canterlot Royal Guard lieutenant was making em leave so they don't get arrested for interrupting a crime scene. To Ponyville, this was the first investigation that was forbidden for the Public to see. To the town, it felt like they were hiding something.
at the Golden Oak ruins, Three guards, and a forensic were there walking to the scene. While walking, they were surprised that, out of all places, the crime took place in the most unexpected and strangest places to occur, a ruined building which used to be a Library. In their opinion, this seemed to be one of the most unusual spots for crimes to occur, even attempted murder. By then they approched the crime scene and saw some blood by the ruined bookshelf, and a what seems to be dead pony. "Forensic, check the blood. See who it belongs to" The guard ordered
"Yes Sir."
While the Forensic went to check the blood, the two guards went to examine the body. During examining, they found two things on his person beneath his cloak; A emblem, and a Crystal. Closely investigating, they saw that, by where his heart is, he was stabbed in the heart. When they felt his pulse, they noted that it was two late, he was already dead. Just as the other guard backed away after examining the body, he saw, near the body, there was a card with a Symbol on it. Quickly, he picked it up and began examining.
Just as soon he got to the back, he saw writing, and began reading, he gasped in shock. "Sir, I think I have found something." He exclaimed
The othe guard came to his side and looked. "What did you find Private........Oh, my, gosh....."
When they saw what was written on it, they knew right away what the card was. It was the card of the Fangalobolo; or as Celestia calls them, the Vampony calling card. During training, every guard is told and inform about the card. What the card stands for is to alert Royalty it was their doing. Furthermore, the guards all have to follow one rule; which is that they are required to have the card bought to a member of royalty and bought to Celestia. In additionally they can't let the public know.
At that moment, the Forensic came up to them and inform em the blood belong to Vinyl Scratch. The Private then went and got two other guards and they approched the head of the investigation awaiting orders. "You both, have the body sent to the lab for examining, and have it prepared for the Morgue afterwards. Private, deliver the Calling Card to Twilight to be sent to Celestia fast. I will have the mayor have the ruins close down to the public for safety" he instructed.
The three then gave a salute and went their way. As the leader and the Foresanic wrapped up their investigation, they headed out of the Ruins of the library and had the library closed down for a while and had a guard remain their till clean up was finished. However, one question remain to them. What was the attackers goal? Or better yet, what happened? All they could hope for, is for something in the evidence and lab result to explain everything. For now, they had to have Celestia look at the Crystal.
Same Time Ancient Castle of Hoofenburg
In the Badlands of Equestria, where no pony resides, a castle stood. However, the exterior of the castle showed that it was not one that belong to royalty. The structures looked like it was around for nine hundred years and was different the normal. Even, it had weird statues that lead to the enterence. To this day, No Equestrian knows that the castle exists, or who resides there. Through time, it remained Abandoned.
In a room beneath the castle, was a room, which was a chamber. Within the room, a unicorn was seen sitting in the room in achair looking impaitent, and even looking like he was going to loose it. Every now and then he looked at the clock, and looked at the door; Altering between the two. This went on for a while, and on the last time, he pulled out a Crystal and tapped it. "Sandstorm, what the hay is going on? Did you kill Vinyl Scratch?" He barked.
No reply was heard.
"Sandstorm, this ain't time for games! Do you copy?!"
No Reply.
After three to four times, he gave up, Sandstorm was not responding. Right when he was about to put the Crystal away, someone was contacting him. He then got the crystal and tapped it. When he answer, he saw a stallion with a gray coat, and a Silver and black mane. Upon seeing who it is, it was one of his fellow comrades, It was Moonshot, one of the strongest Vamponies of his organization. "What is it MoonShot? I am busy trying to contact Sandstorm to see if he killed Vinyl Scratch or not like he was ordered to." He growled
"Sorry Lord Ravij, but.......about Sandstorm.....he's.......he's dead."
"What!? How!?"
"Val killed him and saved your target."
Hearing the name Val made Ravij's Skin crawl. Hearing that Val and his Vamponies were being heroic and saving ponies made him furious. To Ravij, Vamponies were ment to be evil, not heroic and saviors. Although the "Peace Treaty" was inacted secretly, Ravij saw it as what he calls "An excuse". However, Val killing Sandstorm and saving Vinyls life meant only one thing, Vinyl is now a Vampony. "UGH.... Moonshot.....let's just leave this be." Ravij ordered.
"But sir, Vinyl is alive and a vampony."
"Leave, it, be. We can't risk them interfearing with us."
"Yes sir."
With that over, Ravij put his crystal away. After that, Ravij then went his way out of the chamber and walked. Just at that moment, he approched a room and entered. in the room, was a list of Vampony targets that needed to be eliminated. The news about Vinyl becoming a Vampony was a serious matter that Ravij added her portait to the Vampony hit list and then left to go rest. For right now, he decided to spare Vinyl, for now, and see if she can last long as a Vampony.
----Present Day----
With Vinyl out of the hospital, everypony felt happy that she was still alive and well. Although Vinyl had a scar where she was stabbed and had to wear gauze incase the wound opened, it was healing well. However, when Vinyl saw the sunlight from her and Octavia's window, her eyes acted really sensitve. To her, she felt like what ever happened last night in her hospital room was a hallucination, but it was real. So during the days she decided to wear her DJ glasses when she goes outside.
While she had to get used to being a Vampony, one thing in particular bothered her, Octavia. Between them, besides their great friendship and them living with one another in their house, they often shared secrets they had. But, this was one thing that she had to make a secret and not tell. In Vinyls point of view, she thinks that if she told Octavia she became a Vampony and it wasn't a oridnary miracle, Octavia would think Vinyl became delusional after being stabbed. Long story short, Vinyl vowed to hide it from home till she was ready to reveal it
During the morning when Vinyl was home, Pinkie was planning to start the party for Vinyl since she got out of the hospital, however, Octavia asked Pinkie in a friendly matter to postponed the party for tomorrow so Vinyls wound can heal a little. Despite the fact Pinkie loved throwing parties, she knew this was serious, so she decided to go through postponing the party.
Now, at Octavia and Vinyls home, Vinyl was home alone while Octavia did some buisness for three hours. Despite being bored with boredom, Vinyl sent a letter to her boss who is in charge of her DJing that she be taking a small hiatus to heal. For some time, Vinyl played Dj music so she can relieve her boredom, and it was really helping. Uknowingly, while playing, when she played beats, she felt stronger like if the beats were giving her strength. Even she was pretending she was in front of a crowd DJing and her biggest fancolts and Fanmares were cheering.
Not knowing to Vinyl, her fun was distracted, a glow came from her saddle bag. Suspicion hit Vinyl, and she decided to investigated, and found a crystal in her saddle bag. Realizing this, Vinyl now knows yesterday wasn't a dream, but was real. Without thinking, Vinyl touched the Crystal and it glew, and a face was inside the Crystal. It was the pony she met yesterday, it was Val. "Hello Vinyl, are you alright?" Val asked nicely.
"I am okay." But, looks like yesterday wasn't a dream."
"Happens to newcomers who become Vamponies, anyway Vinyl, are you alone? I need to talk to you."
Vinyl then looked at the clock and saw that Octavia has been gone for two hours, and Octavia is going to be back in one hour. Vinyl then took the crystal to her room and closed the door and shut the blinds and hopped on her bed. "Yes, what is it?" Vinyl asked.
"Well, since your a Vampony, I need to run you through details. First of all, since you are new, I will have to tell you that you have to go hunting each night and suck blood. However, you can't do that on innocent when they are awake, however there is another important thing to this. What I mean, is that we only attack on wicked who are awake and suck their blood. For example, if a pony is about to get attacked by attackers, you have to attack the attackers, suck their blood, and excort the pony to safety, but you have to erase their memory."
"Let me guess, so knowledge of us don't get out due to the Vamponies being secret?"
"Precisely. It so we don't get exposed however, there is one thing, they can keep their memory as long as they vow to not tell anypony, but it has to be somepony that can be trusted, not a media pony. Next is your powers. Based off your talent of Djing, you will be able to use any ability that relates to that, like a sonar, or a wail. But, do not use screech in public, due to our enemy known as the Silver Swords. One signal of a screech and we can't go hunting for a day till they return to their HQ."
"Roger, but......can I ask something? A-am I able to reveal m-my Vampony thing to.....my best friend Octavia?"
Upon hearing this, Val began to think, usually, it ain't safe to reveal for Vamponies, or himself to reveal there form to others, however, his wife, who lives with him and the other Vamponies knew, while thinking, Vinyl became worried that she might be screwed and have to hide it forever. "Vinyl.....you can, however, I suggest wait for a perfect time to reveal it, you don't want to scare her." Val assured. "Besides, she is your best friend, I'm sure she can hide it and keep it secret for your sake. Anyway, Vinyl, make sure tonight you go out and hunt, BUT ONLY attack threats that are attempting to hurt a innocent soul, understand?"
Vinyl then told him that she understands, and with that, their call ended. Vinyl then hid the crystal in her drawer where she keeps her belongings. Upon going down stairs she saw Octavia, who surprisingly is home early. To her, after Vinyls hospital release, Vinyl became her main priority, not because she is her Best Friend, but she wanted to help Vinyl get over being stabbed. Octavia set down a pizza on the table and Vinyl sat there, looking at it. "Vinyl, look, I know you are down over being stabbed, but you have to be happy your alive." Octavia assured.
Vinyl looked at her. "How can I? I mean, I fear my life is now changed. But, its a miracle I am alive, but what am I going to do Tavi? I was almost killed by a murderer!"
Hearing this, Octavia felt terrible. Thinking ahead, she pulled Vinyl into a hug. But, out of no where, she backed up and started shivering. Vinyls body was kinda cold not like Yakyakistan and the Crystal Empire. Her first thought was Vinyl was ill, or just cold. Feeling Vinyls cold body sent a shiver down her spine. "Brrrr, Vinyl are you okay? You're cold." Octavia remarked.
"I am, I....don't know why I am cold, I have no idea. But don't worry, I'm not sick or anything."
"You sure? I can make you Celery soup if you want."
Vinyl then gave Octavia a friendly little nuzzle and looked at her. "Like I said, I am okay Tavi, besides I am okay with pizza."
With that out of the way, the two friends began to dine. While they ate, Vinyl had to figure a way on how to sneak out without Octavia knowing. The reason was simple, feeding on blood so she can avoid death. Knowing Octavia, she despised ponies sneaking out. While Vinyl at she began to think of a way to sneak out. Her first idea was through a window, but that was the oldest trick in the book, then was the door, but Octavia would know right away. However, one option was available. As much she hated this, she had to do it. "Tavi, ummmm are you okay with me going for a night walk?" Vinyl nervously asked
"Why? Don't you remember you were stabbed?"
"I know, I know, I just.....wanna walk around at night, you know, get my mind off of being stabbed and near death."
"you absolutely sure?"
"I'm sure."
With that said, the two then begin to put their dishes in the sink. While Octavia started to load the dishwasher, Vinyl went into the other room to think. On her mind was when she should tell Octavia. She thought of telling her after her walk, but that would be too soon. Next was the fact to tell her in a note, but that be dumb since she think it would be a prank. However, she then made her decsion, she would give it time so she can break it to her. After she made her decsion, Vinyl then got on the couch and lied down. She decided to rest so she can go for her walk. Unkowingly, one thing for sure, that Vinyls walk was only a lie for Octavia. And Vinyl doesn't want her to know what her to know why she is going out.
Vinyl's first hunt
The day went well for Vinyl. Although she had to stay in the house to recover, she somehow felt fine, as if she never gotten stabbed for feel any pain. To Octavia she began to think this was abnormal. As all ponies know, Ponies don't heal at a quick speed. At first she thought of going to the doctors to see why this is happening, but she is afraid of them saying she is hallucinating or them saying she was dreaming.
As the sun went down, and Lunas moon was in the sky, Vinyl now knew it was safe to go outside without worry of needing to wear her goggles at night. However, while looking at Vinyls body to see if the scar is there, turns out the scar was gone. After medicine was put on the area just incase Octavia got suspicous, Vinyl walked to the door and looked at Octavia. "I be back in a bit Tavi. I'm just going for a walk." Vinyl informed
"Just be careful, don't want my best friend to get hurt again."
Hearing this made Vinyl chuckle. With that, Vinyl went outside. As she got outside, she began to walk through town. Today, she was going to go suck blood. However, she didn't want to do it on someone innocent. Sucking blood from the innocent would make her feel bad. As she walked through the quiet and peaceful streets of Ponyville, she saw only few ponies walking before they went indoors. Some of em were ponies who work during the night. However, one pony was walking, it was a pegasus, a pegasus who Vinyl known who used to cause trouble with Pinkie by pulling pranks and the fastest pegasus in town. It was Rainbow Dash.
It was highly unusual that Rainbow went walking a night. Usually, she flies around the air and such. Even she sometimes is called on Night Shifts with the Night weather team. While looking at the town, Vinyl began to wait. She was waiting for something to show up. As she was waiting, she saw two ponies following Rainbow Dash. As they followed, she saw Rainbow look and freak out since they had the looks that they were going to do something. Both Rainbow and Vinyl knew who these ponies were; They were Gangbangers. "AH, get away from me!" she shrieked as she started running.
"Come back here!"
While Rainbow was being chased by the two ponies, Vinyl decided to secretly follow within shadows. As she followed she began to feel like a pony working for a secret agency. While giving pursuit, Rainbow turned into an Allyway, which was a REALLY terrible decision. All of Equestria knows that if you are given chase, never go into an allyway because that be one way to be cornered, even for a pegasus who can be stopped by Unicorn magic or Earth ponies grabbing em. Realizing the situation, Vinyl followed them, however, this time, she decided to go to the roofs and continue her pursuit.
As she followed she came to a stop where Rainbow is now cornered by the two ponies. As they drew closer, Rainbow looked terrified, terrified then Fluttershy going to a Zoo. When the two were approch, they began to walk up to her in a creepy way, even to the point where they do mean harm. Right before they were going to Strike, Vinyl fired two shot blasts at both attackers, who then looked up and saw Vinyl, however, he was now scared as a filly in a haunted house when they saw Vinyl had red aura by her eyes, and red eye Irises. "W-what in the..D-do you see this?" The one attacker asked his accomplice which was looking at him.
"What? What was it? A Ghost?" he replied as they saw Vinyl hop down. This time, he was surprised
"I guess you say something like that." Vinyl growled
Realizing they are in trouble, they decided to do one thing, fight Vinyl for interfearing. The earth attacker charged and Hit Vinyl in the chest with their hoof, however, as it hit Vinyl, and he looked, he saw Vinyl, who didn't flinch, or feeling pain, more then that, anything. Fastly, Vinyl lifted her front hoof and punched the pony who was sent Flying and hitting a wall, resulting in him being knocked out. Next, the Unicorn attacker was firing spells at Vinyl who took em like they were nothing. Drawing close Vinyl knocked out the second attacker, and suddenly, she began to bite his neck and sucking on it for 7 seconds. She did the same for the other attacker, resulting, in em to black out in fright.
After that, Vinyl used her magic and errased the Attackers memories of what happened. She then went to Rainbow who was shocked. "Are you alright? Did they....you know, hurt you?" Vinyl asked concernly.
Rainbow looked at Vinyl with shock. In her mind this seemed inpony, no pony could do that. While Rainbow was recovering from what happened, she walked with Vinyl out of the allyway. Luckily no witnesses saw what happened. As they walked to a safe distance, Rainbow looked at Vinyl. "Thank you for saving me, I couldn't fly away because that freaked me out, this never happened before." Rainbow said with a shiver.
"No Problem, but.....I have to erase your memory."
"W-wait, please don't, what if I kept what happened a secret?"
hearing Rainbow say this, Vinyl then began to think. First off, Rainbow is friends with Princess Twilight, so Rainbow knows best not to spill the beans. Then there is Pinkie, which Vinyl feared would do her usual random thing and say something totally random, which was a big worry since Pinkie is very random. However, the biggest and hugest concern, was one country pony that always seems to hate ponies who aren't truthful, that is Applejack. From knowing this, Vinyl knows that Applejack might try to make Rainbow spill the beans, although she is honest, Applejack might not approve of a Vampony and go all protective. Clearing her mind, she looked at Rainbow. "Rainbow.....you may keep your memory, You....can tell your five friends about it, but.....just be careful, I am not sure Applejack may like this." Vinyl said.
After this, Rainbow then got off the ground, thanked Vinyl, and headed home. Heading into the house, she made sure to be quiet and headed to her room. Although she wanted to tell Octavia she is home, she had to remain secretive. Due to her eye aura, she decided to keep it secret and didn't want Octavia to freak out. Entering her room, she sat on her bed, and letted Val know about her hunt. Feeling tired, Vinyl went in her bed and decided to go to sleep. Tomorrow, was going to be a new day, but she had to be sure to not bump into anything to blow her cover or have her eyes exposed. And she hopes, that someday, Octavia would accept her for being a Vampony, when she finds out.
Meanwhile Vampony base
In the midst of a forest that covers sunlight, a big city stands hidden in the dark. While most cities are in sunlight, this city was a secret city. In the city, ponies with red eye irises walked around. All of the residents in this city are Vamponies. Through the town, Vamponies were walking around, chatting, and even training their abilities. Not only that, but Vamponies were heading to a building.
Inside the Building, Vamponies were sitting in a meeting room. From what they heard, it was yet again another rouge Vampony attack and only the tough Vamponies had to attend. While they chatted, the leader, Val-Dun, walked in and sat in his chair, thus beginning checking to see everyone is there. As it ended, the meeting began. "I can tell you all know why I summoned all of you." Val said.
"Rouge Vampony attack days ago. Ugh, seriously, what the heck is going on? It's like we're on the edge of the end of the treaty!" One Vampony exclaimed.
"Calm down Blade. Anyway, an attack happened at 11pm few days ago in Ponyville."
Hearing the name, Ponyville, they all knew that Ponyville was a town where one vampony used to live. Not only that, but it was the exact town where Princess Twilight Sparkle lives. Not only that, but Vampony attacks were not common in that town. However, as Val talked about the attack, it was concluded the attack was not random, but a premeditated attack. Judging by what came to Vals attention, it seemed like the attacker was instructed to kill the target by another Vampony. "W....who is the victim.....or in this case, the new Vampony?" Dust Cloud asked.
"Her name is Vinyl Scratch. She is a DJ and a resident of Ponyville. From infomation given, her attacker followed her from Canterlot Night Club, to Ponyville. The attack happened at the ruins of Golden Oak."
When the name was mentioned, the room went dead silent at the name Vinyl Scratch. From the looks of it, they were shocked. "Val.....you don't think....that Vinyl is...."
"There is no evidence that can prove she is related to him. But, this is dire. When we have time, We will need to go to Ponyville, and meet with Vinyl and run her through some stuff. As for now, all of you need to stand your ground in the areas you live, just so if the one that tried to do this shows themself. The meeting has ended, when you return home, keep your eyes out for any resembling attacks."
With the meeting adjoured, everyone left the room. As they all left, one Vampony was outside, a yellow mare, with the same irises, and a cider mug with a apple cutie mark on her flank. She heard her name and walked in. When she sat down, she looked at Val. Judging by the look, it was a look of concern. Even, due to because the town was where she lived until she met Val. "Seems like somepony is leading the rouge, but a strong force." she said.
"I know Zap, but I....don't want you to go there Remember? You said you wanted to remain hidden?"
"Look, the only reason I am in hiding and joined the Vamponies is because my daughters and son think I am dead after that rouge killed my husband and almost killed me."
Hearing this made Val remember that day. While Zap and her husband were walking on a bridge, a pony cut the bridge causing them to fall. Although the husband died, Zap was near death, but Val saved her life and Zap decided to join the Vamponies and remain in hiding. Although it was risky, but it was what Zap wanted. "I understand, but this is for your kids protection. Someday you might be reunited with em." Val assured.
Zap then looked down in sadness. "Oh Jackie.....please forgive your mother.....I hope Applebloom is okay."
"Relax Zap....maybe someday, you will reunite with em."
After a while talking to Val, Zap went her way and headed to her home. On the other hoof, Val then proceeded to write a letter to Celestia about having a private location set up in Ponyville so Val, and other Vamponies can help Vinyl with a run through of anything Vampony related. Although this was serious, Val had to make sure Vinyl knows everything of being a Vampony. His only hope, is for Vinyl to not go rouge.
Three days have past since Vinyl saved Rainbow during that one night. While Vinyl was adjusting to her Vampony self and her Vampony abilities, she had to figure out her own schedule everyday. Her reasons is so she can have time to go hunting and do her Vampony duties at night so she can come home and get sleep. Simultaneously, Octavia saw Vinyls daily schedule she made for herself, and thought it was a prank or some kind of joke. Originally, she was going to shred it, but didn't, just to avoid Vinyl complaining. Even, she noticed VInyl was begining to act weird. She saw Vinyl was avoiding some foods. Another was Vinyl always had her shades closed in her bedroom, and every time she opened them, Vinyl acted like she was in serious pain and shielded her eyes.
When Vinyl went outside in daylight for the first time, she felt happier, even though she had to wear her shades during daylight. To her, it felt like she was in a prison when she was in her and Octavias home during recovery. When she walked around town, the whole town felt glad that Vinyl fully recovered over what they were told was a attempted murder attack. Surprisingly, some of Vinyls fans were happy that she was still alive. The day went perfect for Vinyl, from walking outside, and even having a descent meal. She felt alive.
Now, Vinyl was seen at the towns park, listening to her music from her headphones. Happily, Vinyl felt at peace, even since she doesn't have to worry about Octavia tapping her to get her to remove the headphones to get her attention. As Vinyl was listening to the music, surprisingly enough, yet again, she felt stronger. In Vinyls mind, it was suspicous, but yet, unexplainable. She began to wonder if it was due to her Vampony powers and such. Even, she began to think that Vampony abilities would relate to a ponies talent. Unkowingly, it always made her feel strange whenever a new ability develops.
At that moment, a group of ponies walked up to Vinyl. Instantaniously, Vinyl saw these ponies. However, she saw that these ponies were wearing Shades and a cloak with a symbol on it. Strangely enough, Vinyl recognized one of them. It was the pony she saw in the hospital, and in the crystal she was given. Immediatly, she knew who it was, it was Val-Dun, the Vampony leader. Turning off her headphones and lowering it to her neck, she looked at them. "Oh, hello Val. What's up? Wait.....w-why are you here?" Vinyl asked in surprised.
"Everything is good Vinyl. However, today, you're going to meet my top ponies. However....we have to go somewhere where it's safe. Twilight is letting us talk in the palace, since Celestia informed her all about us. We....are secret to the mortals so it's best we talk in secret."
Not wasting time, Vinyl got up and walked with them. While she followed, she made sure Octavia wasn't around. What she didn't want is her friend freaking out over her being with some ponies in cloaks thinking she joined a sick cult. While walking through town, she noticed ponies weren't looking, seemingly they didn't even bother about the suspicous group of ponies walking around. Thankfuly, Pinkie was all caught up in sugarcube corner, she didn't want her getting in the way.
Within minutes, they reached Twilights palace. Turns out today is going to be Vinyls first day in the palace for a serious matter. Approching the door and being polite, Val knocked on the door, and quickly Twilight answered the door. Looking left and right, she singled them in. Among entering the throne room, Twilight immediately closed the doors behind them, and casted a sound proof spell on the doors.
Wasting no time Val-Dun took down his hood along with several others. "Vinyl, I like you to meet my top Ponies, Blade, Storm Fleet, Star Strike, Wind Gust, Nighshade, and Zap Cider." Val said introductory like.
"Um, Hi, so....uh, why are they here.
At that moment, Twilight then sat down and looked at Vinyl. After hearing everything from Celestia about the Vamponies, the Rouges and the Vampony war and Celestia not knowing Vinyl is the victim, Twilight agreed to tell her. "Vinyl, do you remember who tried to kill you at the remains of Golden Oak?" Twilight asked.
Hearing this question, Vinyl then rubbed the back of her head. Unfortunately, she couldn't remember the ponies face who attacked her since she was very afraid. Although, Vinyl only remembered the ponies coat color and gender. "N...no, I don't. I don't remember the ponies name, but.... I do know that it was a stallion, that had a dark orange coat, and...wore a cloak. W...why are you asking?"
Zap, whom was quiet, then looked at Vinyl. To Everypony, this was one thing Vinyl wouldn't like to here. "Because it turns out that the attack was premeditated. Even worse, it turns out that your attacker, which was identified as Sandstorm, was ordered to kill you. Sadly, the results didn't show who ordered when they did a brain scan, seemed like his memory of who told him to do it was being blocked off."
Blade then added in. "But worse is, is that you were almost killed by a Vampony."
To break the confusion for Vinyl, Val then explain about the two types of Vamponies that are existing. Choosing where to begin, Val explained about the rouges. In detail, he describe the rouges a notorius type. From glimps of what Vinyl heard, the Rouges were so serious they were responsible for many deaths and near deaths to mortals, and other Vamponies. Moreover, the rouges leader, who has been anonymous to them for so many years has been on their list of targets to be nuteralize to prevent the peace treaty from break. Next, he explained the good Vamponies. After explaining, Vinyl then looked at Val. "So...there is a high chance the pony who tried to have another kill me is a rouge?" Vinyl asked
Twilight then nodded. "According to Val-Dun, yes. You were almost victim of a Contract Killing by a Vampony. Judging by the situation, Celestia, or Val don't have enough evidence to figure out who ordered the hit."
Storm, who had been listening saw Vinyl look down. Storm walked up to Vinyl and looked at her, "Hey don't be like that Vinyl. Since we are Val-Duns best Vamponies, we will track whoever tried to kill you. Right now, me and Nightshade are in charge of the investigation going on. Since your a member of our team now, you have our word. We will find who tried to have you killed."
While everyone had finished talking. Vinyl still felt like this was way to quick, but slowly understanding the situation. While everyone talked, Vinyl then realized one of the names, Zap Cider. To her, it seemed like a Apple Family related name. Vinyl looked at Zap with curiosity. She was more curious why some pony with a Apple styled name is in a group associated with the nighttime. Normally, a family like that would be all pitch forks and torches over knowledge of a Vampony. "Hey, um, Zap.....are you related to....um Applejack? Just curious." Vinyl asked nervously
Hearing this, Zap could only sigh. "Since you asked.... Yes, I am.....Applejacks mother. P-please don't tell Applejack."
Upon hearing this, Twilight looked like she was about to faint, a presumed dead pony in her castle? To her, it felt like it was a dream. " Woahwoahwoahwoah b-but h-how? The records of you have been marked "REDACTED" like if it was secret or hiding something. H-how is this even possible."
Although Zap was going to explain, Val-Dun stepped in. "To explain why Zap's files say Redacted and aren't allowed to be viewed by the general republic, is because years ago, Zap was involved in a attempted murder."
"Attempted murder" Vinyl asked tilting her head. "You mean like how I was almost killed?"
"No, unlike yours, Zap was targeted by a rouge due to something in her bloodline heritage. While her husband died, Zap was still alive, but near death. Long story short she allowed herself to become a Vampony, and to prevent a Apple Family riot, she faked her death."
"Yes, but when the cost was clear, I escaped my grave, thankfully with help with Celestia making it so it doesn't look like a grave robbery happened, I went and lived in the Vampony area with Val and others."
With Zap story finished, Vinyl was looking worried. Similar to how Zap was doing it to protect her daughters and son, Vinyl however was now being bothered. This time, it was thinking that Octavia wouldn't want to hear the news. Although she was hiding it from her, she was starting to worry that she will find out eventually.
Letting the worry not distract her, Vinyl, Twilight, and the other Vamponies began talking more. While they talked, Twilight was learning a lot about the Vamponies. Vinyl on the other hoof was surprised at what she was learning. To her, it felt like she was in school learning about urban legends. They talked for an hour more. After they ended the conversation, Val and the others bided Vinyl and Twilight Falwell, and began to head their way.
After they left, Vinyl decided to head out too. Bidding Twilight farewell, she began to leave the palace. Now outside, Vinyl then headed to town. Unkowingly to Vinyl, she didn't realize that later in the evening, something was bound to happen.

It began to turn to the evening hours and Vinyl was sitting in her bedroom looking down. She couldn't believe it, she didn't want to, but this was huge. Originally, Vinyl thought she was killed by somepony who hated her music; But this, this was something more. Not only that, she wasn't a victim of a rouge attack, but Zap was.
While, Vinyl was looking down, she heard a knock. "Vinyl, you okay." Octavia asked with concern.
"L-leave me alone Tavi."
"Vinyl, please, let's talk."
Sighing, Vinyl let Octavia in. When Octavia walked in she saw Vinyl looking down. From the looks, in Octavias opinion, Vinyl was looking like she was heartbroken. When she met Vinyl when they studied music, she was always crazy over DJing. Even that, during a DJ battle, she never lost. But this, wasn't like her. Octavia then got on the bed and sat next to Vinyl. "Vinyl, what's wrong?" Octavia asked.
"Tavi...Remember on the train, you told me about the Vamponies?"
"Yes? W-why?"
Feeling like she needs to tell her. Vinyl kept her sight to the ground instead of looking at Octavia. Part of her wanted to tell Octavia about what happened, while the other was worried she would reject her. "Tavi...I-I don't know. P-part of me wants me to believe that the pony that tried to kill me was one of "em" while part of me thinks I am in a horrible nightmare. I-I-I don't know Tavi."
When hearing this, Octavia could tell that their was afraid, something she never saw before over then when she almost got into a fight with a drunk at one of her gigs. Through the years they known each other, Octavia known Vinyl not to be afraid of anything other then screwing up, but seeing her in this state made her feel worse. "Vinyl, you do remember that your almost killer was pronounced dead due to act of defense by the pony who saved you? Besides, you should be happy your alive, not sad." Octavia assured as she bought Vinyl into a hug, ignoring Vinyls cold body.
"B-but Tavi, y-you don't understand. It was...."
"Vinyl, I think tonight, you should clear you your mind by going on your nightly walks you been doing."
At this point, Vinyl couldn't help but agree, if this bothered her too much, she be unable to sleep. After calming down, Vinyl decided to go and play with her Dubstep set. Little did she know, something at night, was bound to happen.
Secret Between friends
Night came and Octavia decided to go to Ponyville park to practice for her upcoming gig. Vinyl however remain in the house for the correct time. Ever since becoming a Vampony, Vinyl took precaution of not going outside without her goggles at night when ponies are still out. Since she became one, Vinyl began to worry about death and Octavia finding out and treating her like she is an outcast or some kind of dangerous monster that's a disgrace to pony kind.
As more of the town folks went indoors, Vinyl got up; it was now time for her to go out for her nightly hunt. Taking a deep breath, Vinyl walked outside. With the the coast clear, she began to walk around town. Looking to make sure the zone is safe, Vinyl was thinking of either drinking the blood of attackers, or sneaking into a ponies house and sucking their blood. Originally, the "sneaking into others houses" thing wasn't for Vinyl, but she had no choice.
Just when she was going to decide, she heard a familiar scream. "AGH, g-get away from me you ruffians!"
Jumping, Vinyl recognized the voice. It was clear as day; it was Octavia. Thinking fast Vinyl began to follow where it came from. Giving pursuit, Vinyl ran to where it originated. While running, she began to worry if Octavia might change on what she thinks of her, but it was a risk to take. At that moment, she found where the scream came from. Carefully, Vinyl used a stealth tatic, to her it felt like she was a royal guard or a spy.
Going slowly to be unnoticed she heard two ponies talking. "How about you play your Chello for us. We won't hurt you." One of em said in a unsettling way.
"Get away from me you creeps."
"Play it or we do something, that will make you think twice."
"HELP!"
Glancing at the ponies who were near Octavia, right away, Vinyl could tell these two ponies were intoxicated on some alcohol beverage, as if they came from a bar. Not only that, but they were kinda similar to the ones that Vinyl battled when Rainbow Dash was attacked. While Vinyl wanted to save Octavia, she remembered that she is afraid to reveal her self to her. Thoughts were going through her head, and, while she was trying not to do it, to scare Octavia, a thought told her it would be her fault if Octavia wouldn't leave the house if she is assaulted by them.
Getting her mind together, Vinyl decided to take a risk. Her friend is in danger, and if she didn't save her, she would be too terrified to leave the house. Letting out a breath, she began to walk to view to the attackers. While she was approching em, Octavia noticed Vinyl sneaking up on them. What caught her attention was Vinyls eyes, the aura by her eyes, and what seemingly were fangs. When Vinyl approch em, Octavia was hoping for a miracle.
"What do you think you're doing to my friend?!" Vinyl hissed catching their attention causing em to face her. "You mess with her, you mess with me."
"Why don't you go mind your own buisness, better yet...."
In a flash, Vinyl was punched really hard, and Octavia let out a small yelp seeing it. Her friend just got assaulted. Surprisingly, to Octavias eyes, she saw Vinyl still standing, as like, she didn't feel any pain. Witnessing this made Octavia feel like it was a hallucination. Just then as if it was quick, Vinyl swung an uppercut and hit her attacker. Falling back, the other pony didn't know how to react; He was so clueless at what just happened. "UGH, what are you doing there you idiot?! Don't just stand there, attack her!" The one pony barked.
"But dude, she just...."
"Don't give me that sack of horse apples, JUST DO IT YOU IDIOT!"
As it as to quick, Vinyl used her magic and fired a taze spell. When it hit the pony, he fell to the ground, and was laying there, he couldn't move. With both em on the ground, Vinyl approched the first one, and within seconds, her fangs went into the ponies neck. To the attacker, he was feeling fear, he never experienced this before. Upon Vinyl backing away from his neck, the other noticed his buddy passed out. Vinyl proceeded to do the same thing to the other pony and like the other, he passed out.
Letting out a relieve, Vinyl erased there memory of what happen. With her duty out of the way, Vinyl turned around and saw Octavia, clueless as what she just witness. Walking up to her, Vinyl pulled her into a hug to calm her down. "You alright? Did they hurt you Tavi' vinyl asked Worriedly.
"I'm okay.....Vinyl, w-what just happened? I mean, I know you defended me but...What in Equestria happened? I mean y-you look....different?"
Looking both ways to make sure that they are safe, Vinyl then went to Octavias hear to whisper. "Remember when you told me about the Vampony thing on the train? Turns out....it is true, and it seems when I was attacked that day, it was a Vampony attack. Not only that, the pony that saved offered to give me a second chance so I can avoid death, I took it. So....I am a Vampony. I will explain it while on the way home, but let me do this."
Thinking quick, Vinyl put down a card letting the Vamponies know she did self defense on a civilian that was about to be attack. With that out of the way, Vinyl and Octavia began walking home together. To Octavia, she was really grateful Vinyl saved her life, but shocked at what Vinyl told her. Moreover, she now understood why Vinyls body was cold. "So, how come....you hid this from me Vinyl?" Octavia asked quietly so no pony can hear their talk.
"I....was afraid to mention it to you, while I believe that the whole second chance thing was the right thing, I was afraid of telling you. A thought went in my head telling me you would kick me out for being a creature of the night now, due to thinking you think Vamponies are evil." Vinyl replied.
While waking, Octavia went by Vinyls head friendly like. "What makes you think like that? I don't think they are evil. Stories I heard are that there are good Vamponies, and Bad Vamponies who have rage blood. I would never kick you out, your my friend. Even I would never feed you anything that would kill you....ah crud, I guess I have to throw out that meal I was tending to cook."
At that point, Vinyl let out a small chuckle as she and Octavia were walking up to their house. When they entered, Octavia immediately turned off the oven and threw out the dinner she was cooking. Knowing Vinyl now can't eat Garlic, she now needed to get rid of any garlic ingredient or garlic related food in the house. From what Octavia knew from the urban legend she was told, Vamponies can die from Garlic. Even now she learned that Vinyl is one, she didn't want to end up poisoning Vinyl by accident with Garlic. After disposing every garlic ingredient, Octavia walked into the longing room of their house and looked at Vinyl. "Since....I owe you my gratitude for saving me from those ruffians, for your safety, I will promise you that I will protect your secret from getting out."
Hearing this, Vinyl walked up to Octavia and hugged her close. "Thank you. Oh and Tavi?"
"Yes?"
"Make sure to help me hide the fact my eyes are sensitive, by saying I have Photophobia."
"You have my word."
Meanwhile In Canterlot
In the city of Canterlot, the town was quiet, while most ponies go home and go to bed, some ponies were going to their night jobs. Others were just enjoying the night. To every pony, the night was peaceful. However, some ponies were taking extra precaution of safety after what happened to Vinyl. Although it did happen in Ponyville, they wanted to be safe, and not be victim of what Vinyl was victim of.
During the night, a pony was seen walking to Canterlot Palace. While walking, the Pony was making sure her glasses remained on her face as she was walking. Upon approaching the castle, two guards were blocking the way in. Due to it being evening hours, no pony was allowed into the palace since all audiences were over for the day. When approching, the guards looked at her. "Audiences are over for the day. We can't allow you to enter. State your buisness." The Guard said.
"It's Moondancer, Princess Celestia asked me to come at this hour. She wanted to speak to me about something."
When hearing this, the guards look at one another. Although it was late hours, they were told not to let anypony in; The only exception, was if the Princess summoned them. Realizing it was a summons, the guards moved out of the way and let Moondancer in. While Moondancer was walking the through the halls of the palace, she began to recall what Celestia mentioned in the summons letter. Curiousity was going through Moondancers mind, like what was Celestia talking about in the letter.
Approching the throne room door, Moondancer walked in and saw Princess Celestia. Upon approching, Moondancer bowed. "You summoned me your highness?" Moondancer asked Respectfully as she stood.
"Yes. I...need to talk to you, it regards what I mentioned in the letter. But, before we talk about that, I want to ask you something. Do you believe in Urban Legends?"
Hearing this question, Moondancer was curious why she asked that. From her times in the library and when she was a filly, she heard numerous Urban Legends. Sometimes she heard em from Twilight, oftentimes she heard it from her parents, but usually, she heard about a lot of em in fictional stories. Although this kinda seemed like a question that was irrelevant, Moondancer known that it was impolite to ignore a question like that from Royalty. "Well, I'm kinda....half and half, uh....why are you asking such a question? Is it....related to what you summoned me for?"
Celestia nodded.
While Moondancer was trying to figure out why it relates to that, Celestia used her magic to bring something to view. From the glimps of it, it look like a very old paper. "What if I told you...or shown you, that....one urban legend is actually true? Just look at this paper. This will help you understand why it relates to why I summoned you."
Adjusting her glasses, Moondancer looked at the paper and began to read it in her mind. While she read it she was shocked what this was, it is a Peace Treaty. Even more surpising, a peace treaty between ponies and Vamponies. According what it said, it stated things like the Vamponies will do no harm to any mortal, unless it's in a act of self defense or protecting a mortal, they can't turn a wounded mortal into a Vampony without offering em the second chance and them accepting the offer, and that they can't kill a mortal. Not only that, but it mention that if a mortal were to kill a Vampony without motive or alibi, the said pony will be pulled to questioning.
After reading it, Moondancer looked at Celestia, utterly speechless. She couldn't believe it, a urban legend was true. "V-Vamponies do exist? B-but why is this related to...why you summoned me? I mean...." Moondancers stuttered as she was interrupted.
"It's because a while ago, a pony resident from Ponyville was attacked and victim of Contract Killing by a Vampony and the deed was to be done by another Vampony. But, there is a reason why I showed you this, even though this is secret to the public."
"Well, what is it?"
"I need somepony to help with this project I am doing. You see, I have a feeling some ponies joined rouges due to...well, reasons, and I have a nagging feeling they might be able to help and want to join the living again. So, I am asking if you want to be in charge of the purification project."
When hearing this, Moondance began to think. In her mind, this was news that came to fast. Especially since was really secret to Everypony. At first Moondancer was going to deny this thinking she doesn't want anything to deal with Vamponies since it be mostly with rouges. Although, this would mean she be saving lifes and helping Vamponies who want to stop the rouges. She began to think hard, and finally she made up her mind. "I be honored to do this. Uh, it won't effect when I am hanging out with my friends, right? I mean, I began hanging out with em again after me and Twilight reconciled. I'm...just worried this might effect my free time."
Celestia let out a smile. "Not to worry Moondancer. You have a lot of free time so, I can allow this. When the purification project is prepared, I will send you the keys to the place where it is. For now, I think you should go get some sleep. Your dismissed Moonancer."
With everything handled and situated, Moondancer began to leave the palace. As she left, Celestia then looked outside, with worry. Ever since she started the project, she started to hope thie project will save innocent lifes from rouge life, However, there was that almost attempted murder of the Ponyville resident that joined the Vamponies that Celestia was informed about. Along with that, there was the possibility of that pony being related to the one that created the peace treaty. Not only that, but she had a feeling, that the dark time for the Vamponies, is soon going to see the light of ending.
