After Rainbow Dash told her friends about her secret, they think it's a good idea to have her become closer with the stallion of her dreams.

The Wonderbolts Ponyville Show! Tickets only 35 bits!

That's what Rainbow Dash's friends saw on a poster hung up near Town Hall; shortly after Rainbow told them all her little secret. They all know Rainbow Dash should get the special premium tickets.

Well, to see the Wonderbolts, and spend time with the stallion she had recently fallen for.

What's surprising is that Rainbow Dash is actually okay with all this.

The Airshow

Rainbow Dash flew through the sky, letting the cold breeze cut through her mane. The sky was perfect. The clouds were perfect. Everything was perfect.

As Rainbow flew, she saw a blue blur ahead of her. She was a little confused, but curious. She felt herself hovering closer. She got closer to find a stallion in a Wonderbolts uniform. Upon seeing him, her face heated up. Her heart was telling her to move closer.

"Rainbow!" She heard coming from the distance. She ignored it and kept flying closer.

"Rainbow!" The voice came again. Rainbow then blinked a few times and saw a strong breeze blow, wiping the stallion away.

"RAINBOW!"

"WHAT?!" Rainbow screamed, sitting up on the cloud she was resting on. She looked to see Twilight hovering next to her.

"Why'd you wake me up, Twi? I haven't gotten a nap yet!" Rainbow asked as Twilight got a mischievous smile.

"Why? Were you having a good dream?" She asked as Rainbow thought.

"Uh... I don't know..." she thought of when she saw the stallion and felt her cheeks flush.

"I knew it! You had a dream about Soarin, didn't you?" Twilight asked as Rainbow turned her head away.

"Well, not exactly..."

Twilight giggled behind a hoof. "Oh, Rainbow. You don't want to turn your head from me! I have something for you!"

Rainbow turned back around; her face now its normal cyan color. "What? Is it a doll of Soarin? Because that seems like something you would get me."

Twilight shook her head. "Nope. Something better!"

Twilight then levitated a ticket out of the saddlebag she had on her back. She then put in in Rainbow's face as the Pegasus took it out of the air.

"The Wonderbolts Ponyville show... PREMIUM?!" Rainbow exclaimed, sitting up on the cloud. Twilight nodded happily.

"Yep! Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and I also got tickets. Well, you were the only one that got premium."

Rainbow's eyes widened. "Really? But... the premium tickets give you access to meet and talk to the Wonderbolts! They're really expensive! You didn't have to!"

Twilight fluttered her eyelashes. "Oh, but I did. You know who's in the Wonderbolts that you've been wanting to see lately?"

Rainbow realized what Twilight was talking about and flushed. "You... paid a big ol' load of bits to get me this ticket... just to see Soarin?"

Twilight nodded. "Of course! It was mainly Rarity's idea. You know how much of a helpless romantic she is at times-"

Twilight was cut off by Rainbow throwing her fore-hooves around her.

"Thank you, Twilight! Tell Rarity I said thanks for her generosity!"

Twilight pushed Rainbow back as she raised an eyebrow. "Well... why can't you tell her yourself?"

Rainbow Dash sat back down on the light, fluffy cloud. "I gotta take a nap. See ya later, Twi!" Rainbow remarked as she curled up. Twilight rolled her eyes and then flew back to her castle.

Rainbow Dash eagerly jumped out of bed. That was a first. She woke up smiling as well. That was also a first. She then happily trotted into the restroom to get prepared for the day.

"I'm gonna see the Wonderbolts! And talk to Soarin! Because I'm awesome, and they know it! I'm awesome!" Rainbow softly sang to herself as she brushed her rainbow mane. She kept a happy tune in her head as she continued getting ready.

Soon, it was time to meet her friends at the entrance of the Wonderbolts stadium. In all honesty, she was nervous. What if Soarin doesn't want to talk to her? What if the Wonderbolts ignore her? What if she makes a complete fool of herself? These unnecessary questions caused her legs to tremble. She felt like she could collapse from nervousness.

To avoid that problem, she spread her wings and took off. With her ticket, she flew around Ponyville. She soon found where the Wonderbolts were performing and descended.

"Rainbow Dash!" Came a voice from behind. Rainbow turned to find her friends standing behind her.

"Hey, guys! What's up?"

"Nothing!" Rarity responded, sounding a little mischievous. "What about you? You seem awfully happy today!"

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "Well, duh! You guys got me premium tickets! I still can't thank you enough!"

"No problem!" Rarity responded.

Applejack giggled. "Yep! Just don't get too crazy with your dear stallion. We all still wanna spend some time with ya."

Rainbow flicked Applejack with her tail. "Be quiet."

Twilight giggled. "Alright. Time to go in!" Twilight remarked as the six showed the guards their tickets. Rainbow Dash showed the guard her premium ticket.

"Alright. Go check in with the Wonderbolt over there. He will tell you what to do."

Rainbow smiled. "Alright. Thank you!" She responded. Rainbow looked to see her friends smirking and waving to her. She looked and saw why they were waving to her when she was just leaving for a few seconds.

Soarin. The stallion she was supposed to approach was Soarin. Her cheeks flushed and her stomach went crazy with butterflies.

Will I embarrass myself? she thought. She then snapped herself back into reality. She was just going to say a few words to him. It was no reason to freak out.

She soon approached him. It took a few seconds for her to find the courage to speak.

"Soarin?"

Soarin turned and locked eyes with Rainbow Dash.

"Oh, hey, Rainbow Dash! What's up?"

Rainbow slightly flushed, but regained her composure. "Well... I have a premium ticket..."

Soarin smiled. "Cool! After the show's over, go over to the room you see myself and the Wonderbolts fly into. We will then all talk and eat."

Rainbow smiled, and got a smile back from Soarin. Her heart raced.

"Great! I'll see ya then!" Rainbow responded before trotting away, feeling lighter than air. She looked around to find her friends.

"Where could they be?" She wondered aloud. She looked over to see them sitting in the audience, waiting for the show to start. She walked over to her seat.

"Hey, Rainbow! Are you excited? Cause I'm excited! We're seeing the Wonderbolts!" Pinkie remarked before jumping up and down.

"Uh... yeah! I wish I could fly in this show, though..."

Rarity gave her friend a sympathetic smile. "I know you'll get your chance one day. But for now, let's enjoy the show!"

Rainbow smiled back. "Yeah!"

Shortly after she responded, a Pegasus flew out of a room.

"Hello, everypony! Who's ready?"

Applause was heard throughout the audience.

"Alright! I give you... the Wonderbolts!" The Pegasus announced. The Wonderbolts dashed out of where they were waiting; the flaps of their wings synced perfectly.

They flew around the area, performing spectacular stunts. Some stunts even looked like fireworks.

The show ended fairly quickly, and the Wonderbolts descended and walked into their resting room. Applause was heard throughout the audience once again.

"Thank you for coming today! We hope you enjoyed seeing the Wonderbolts!" More cheers were heard as the announcer went inside to rest with the Wonderbolts.

"Wow! That was great!" Twilight remarked as she stood up, stretching her legs. She then fluttered her eyelashes at Rainbow. "Good luck!" She said, flicking her tail in Rainbow's face. She then left; everypony else waving good luck to Rainbow and following.

Now, Rainbow was alone. She was about to go and talk to the Wonderbolts. To Soarin. With no distractions.

She hoped that she wouldn't embarrass herself. Well, it was time to take that risk. She flew over to where the Wonderbolts had head in to rest.

Premium Encounters

Rainbow Dash trotted into the Wonderbolts rest area. Her heart sped up as rediculous questions ran into her mind again. She tried her best to shake them off and go on her way, but it was much harder than she thought. She soon opened a door to find all the Wonderbolts sitting and talking. They seemed to be having a pretty good conversation about the next stunts they want to try.

Rainbow awkwardly walked over to a bench and took a seat; wanting to be noticed, but not wanting to at the same time. She looked over to see Soarin talking to Spitfire; seeming to be really into his words. Rainbow swung her legs as a mare walked up to her.

"You're Rainbow Dash, right?" The mare asked in her happy, raspy voice. Rainbow nodded.

"The one and only!" She then stopped talking and got a better look at the mare. "You're Fleetfoot! No denying that!"

Fleetfoot smiled. "Yep! It's nice to see you, Rainbow."

Spitfire then walked over when she caught sight of Rainbow. "Ah, Rainbow Dash! It's great seeing you here!"

Rainbow beamed in return. "Thanks!"

Soarin then walked over; making eye contact with Rainbow Dash.

"Hey, Rainbow!" Soarin greeted as Rainbow waved back.

"Hey!"

Spitfire smiled and then looked over to the door; where a stallion had entered.

"Alright... another premium holder!" She then turned around to Fleetfoot. "Fleet, do you wanna greet the stallion with me?"

Fleetfoot gave a smile to her captain. "Sure!" She responded as the two trotted off; their wings opened.

Well, now Rainbow was left alone. With Soarin. A few days ago; she wanted this to happen. She wanted to be able to talk win him without any distractions. Now, she took it back. She didn't know how to start a conversation with the stallion. All conversation starters completely left her mind.

"What's got you so silent?" Soarin questioned; his deep voice breaking Rainbow from her thoughts.

"I'm not. I'm just tired." Rainbow responded, acting like she was drowsy.

Soarin chuckled. "Were you too excited to sleep? It's not everyday somepony gets to go see and interact with the Wonderbolts!"

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "Soarin, you must've forgotten how many times I am able to interact with you guys. I really enjoy the time, though. Talking with some of the best fliers in Equestria is always great!"

Soarin smiled back. "Yeah! I was like you before I joined." He then thought for a moment. "Well, I never did a Sonic Rainboom or save somepony's life, but I was still pretty awesome!"

Rainbow stayed silent for a moment. "Well, I am the awesomest Pegasus out there!" She responded; feeling her heart do thousands of somersaults in her stomach.

Soarin chuckled. "I bet I could challenge that!" He then looked over to the food table. "I don't know about you, but I'm gonna get some food."

He then trotted away; leaving Rainbow Dash with a stupid grin on her face. She had a good conversation with Soarin! Not only that; but he also said she is a better flier than him! Recalling these memories made her stomach flutter even more than before. She then quickly snapped back into realization and walked over to the snack table.

"This looks great!" Rainbow remarked as she took a huge piece of cake from the table.

"You said it!" Soarin responded, eating a pie that was set out.

Rainbow giggled as she looked out a window. The sun was brightly shining through the windows. Somehow, Princess Celestia must have known she was having a great day.

"Are you already wanting to go outside?" Soarin asked as he walked over to Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow shook her head. "No. Well, it is really nice out there."

"Yeah." Soarin responded. He then looked out the window as well.

"Hey, Soarin! Hey, Rainbow!" A voice came from behind. The two turned to find Spitfire standing behind them.

"Hey, Spit!" Soarin greeted.

"Hey!" Rainbow added on as Spitfire smiled.

"Soarin, we haven't done our post exercise routine yet. Why don't we stretch a little?" Spitfire said as Soarin nodded.

"Yeah! I forgot about that. The last thing I want is to have my muscles tense tomorrow morning."

After waving to Rainbow, Soarin and Spitfire trotted off. Rainbow watched them walk away; tempted to follow them. She didn't want to disturb their time together, though. They seemed like great friends, and Rainbow didn't want to intrude.

"Hello once again, Rainbow!" A familiar voice said. Rainbow turned and found Fleetfoot.

"Oh! Hi, Fleetfoot!"

Fleetfoot smiled and looked around Rainbow. "Do you have anypony to talk to? I thought Soarin was talking to you."

Rainbow looked to the ground. "He was. He's off doing exercises with Spitfire now."

Fleetfoot looked at her in surprise. "Really? I wouldn't expect the two to just walk off like that..." she then looked to the ground. "That makes me suspicious about what he told me..." She mumbled very softly.

"What?" Rainbow asked as Fleetfoot looked away.

"Uh... nothing." She then looked back at Rainbow. "Want to get some cake or something?"

Rainbow shook her head. "I already got some." She then looked at a clock on the wall. "How much time do I have left with you guys?"

Fleetfoot thought for a moment. "I think you have another hour." She then got a game face on. "And that hour shouldn't go to waste! Do you wanna fly?"

Rainbow's eyes widened. "Really?" She started to smile. "But wait... wouldn't you rather fly with a Wonderbolt than with me?"

Fleetfoot shook her head. "You are just like my teammates, Rainbow. And besides, your paid hour of premium shouldn't go to waste."

Rainbow proudly smiled. "Thanks!"

"No problem! Now, let's hit the sky!" Fleetfoot responded as she led Rainbow to a door and into the open skies.

Refreshing Breeze

"You can't catch me!" Fleetfoot yelled back as she chuckled and continuously flapped her wings. She was then suddenly passed by three blurs, causing her to stop.

Rainbow stopped, as did the other two blurs. "I already have!" She then looked at the other pegasi. "Spitfire? Soarin? What are you doing out here?"

Spitfire smiled. "We came out to fly with you two, of course! Soarin and I just finished exercising, so we could go for another flight!"

Soarin nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah! And I know I'm gonna win!"

Fleetfoot flew up to him. "Well, I know I'm gonna win!" She then gestured for the three to line up next to her. Rainbow smiled and hovered next to Fleetfoot. She felt confident flying next to the Wonderbolts; and wished once again that she was in uniform.

"Three... two... one... go!" Fleetfoot counted down. The four pegasi darted from the starting place, letting the refreshing daytime breeze flow through their mane. Rainbow looked around her; there was nopony in front of her. She smiled.

"Alright! I'm beating the Wonderbolts!" Rainbow remarked as she continued flapping her wings; her pace never ceasing.

"Not for long!" Came a voice behind her. Soarin then appeared next to her.

"Oh, you're on!" Rainbow responded as she flapped her wings even harder. Soarin wouldn't fall behind her like she hoped. Now, she had a challenge.

Fleetfoot and Spitfire soon rocketed in front of the two, flapping their wings as fast as they could. Rainbow then increased her speed and caught up with the two.

They then turned; and started heading back to where they started. Rainbow felt beads of sweat run down her forehead; but she ignored it. She was almost in the lead; and she was determined to win.

Soon, she was only a few flaps away from the finish line. She gave it all her energy. She soon crossed the starting point; and stopped herself. She looked back to see Soarin crossing the finish line.

"That was great, Rainbow Dash!" Spitfire remarked as Rainbow turned around to look at her. "You really are a great flier!"

Rainbow flushed as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Thanks! Wait... did I win?"

Fleetfoot shook her head. "Nope! I won. But you came in second!"

Rainbow beamed. "Awesome!"

"You said it, Rainbow! Even though I finished last, it was still awesome!" Soarin responded.

Rainbow smiled. "Alright! Now... what's next on the agenda?"

Soarin smiled as he got an idea. "Well... since premium time's almost over... why don't we all make plans to have an evening flight later?"

Spitfire nodded her head. "That's a good idea! What do you say, you two?"

Fleetfoot and Rainbow Dash smiled. "Yeah!" They responded in unison.

"Alright. Let's take a rest. Meet up right here at eight o' clock."

"Yes ma'am!" The three responded as they flew back to where they needed to be. Rainbow took a different direction; to Twilight's castle.

When Rainbow opened the doors, she heard giggles in the throne room. She walked in to find all of her friends sitting in their respectful thrones; laughing. Twilight looked up to find Rainbow Dash in the doorway.

"Oh, hi, Rainbow!" Twilight greeted. Rainbow then walked over to her throne.

"Hey, guys!" She saw them all trying to hold in laughter. "What's so funny?"

"Oh, darling, we were laughing about... a poorly dressed costumer that entered my shop!"

Fluttershy looked at her. "Uh... I thought we were talking about Rainbow and Soarin in a relationship..."

The four glared at Fluttershy as Rainbow hid her face. "Oh... oops..." Fluttershy responded weakly.

Rarity giggled again. "It's alright, Fluttershy!" She then fluttered her eyelashes at Rainbow Dash. "So... how are you and the lover-boy?"

Rainbow flushed and turned away from Rarity. "We're fine. And we are not lovers!"

Pinkie sighed. "Awww! We were hoping you two confessed your feelings to each other and lived happily ever after!"

Rainbow looked over at Pinkie. "Nope! And besides, I'm pretty sure I have a one-sided crush."

"Don't say that, Rainbow! Ya never know unless he tells ya!" Applejack responded as Twilight nodded her head in agreement.

"Yep!" She then attempted the Rarity eye-flutter. "Did he make any obvious desires to want to see you again?"

Rainbow thought. "Well... he did plan an evening flight-"

"WHAT?!" The five responded at once as Rarity squealed.

"Rainbow, I think Soarin asked you out!" Rarity remarked as she squealed again.

"Hooray! Let's have a Rainbow-is-asked-out-party!" Pinkie responded as she threw confetti in the air.

"Guys! I'm not finished yet!" Rainbow remarked, her face bright red.

Twilight smiled at her. "Well, what do you have to say?"

"He was talking to Spitfire, Fleetfoot, and myself. It's not a date!"

Applejack smiled. "Well... he did still invite ya!"

Fluttershy giggled. "He invited you to fly along with his teammates! I personally think that's adorable!"

Rainbow face-hoofed. "That doesn't mean anything. He's just being a good friend."

Rarity gasped. "Rainbow! Don't friend-zone yourself!" She responded as Rainbow turned her head.

"I don't want to friend-zone myself! I just don't want to get my hopes up to later have them be crushed!"

Twilight gave her friend a sympathetic smile. "That's understandable." She then fluttered her eyes again. "Now... tell us about your alone time with the Wonderbolts!"

The five giggled as Rainbow sighed. "Alright... just no squealing or assuming he likes me!"

"Yep!" The five responded in unison as they listened to Rainbow's words.

Rainbow flew up to where she was asked to meet. She had spent the duration of the afternoon with her friends; talking for hours. Rainbow looked around the sky to find the three Wonderbolts hovering in the air.

"Hey, guys!" Rainbow remarked as they all waved.

"Rainbow Dash! There you are!" Spitfire responded as she smiled. "Ready to start?"

Rainbow Dash nodded her head. "Ready as I'll ever be!"

Fleetfoot smiled. "Alright. We'll start on this cloud, and stop on the cloud over there," Fleetfoot pointed to a cloud a distance away from them. "Ready?"

Fleetfoot looked at the three, who looked back at her. "Go!" She yelled. The four took off, flapping their wings at an incredible rate of speed.

During the flight, Rainbow felt free. She let the evening breeze engulf her; and take her into a different world. She then increased the flapping of her wings.

She then saw the other three right next to her, flapping their wings the same speed she was. Rainbow smiled and picked up her speed.

The finish cloud was soon in sight. Rainbow didn't cease her speed; but instead went even faster. She soon landed on the cloud and looked behind her. The other three flew across the finish line.

"I... won!" Rainbow remarked as she felt something run into her. She looked to her side and found Soarin had landed on top of her leg.

Soarin soon realized he was on Rainbow and quickly hopped off her leg. Rainbow Dash felt heat rise to her cheeks.

Fleetfoot chuckled. "Man! Rainbow, you're an awesome flier! You beat us!"

Rainbow nodded; her cheeks still faintly red. "Thanks!"

Fleetfoot smiled. "Of course! Now... who's up for another race?"

The three nodded their heads as Fleetfoot got a game face on.

"You won't beat me this time, Rainbow! I'm gonna win!" She responded as she got ready to take off.

Clearing Clouds of Blue

Rainbow Dash quickly spread her wings and looked up at the morning sky. The sunshine shone through the white, fluffy clouds that adorned the sky over Ponyville. As a breeze blew, Rainbow flapped her wings and was off. She felt the breeze cut her mane as she flew into a cloud, which instantly burst upon impact. Rainbow smiled as she continued running into clouds; feeling the nice, chilling feeling of bursting through clouds. Once she was finished, she descended. She looked at the sky and smiled. Her thoughts then instantly drifted to last night. She remembered flying with the Wonderbolts in that very sky. She felt heat rise to her face when Soarin entered her mind.

"You forgot one!" A familiar voice yelled from behind. Rainbow shook her head to snap herself from her trance. She thought the voice was her imagination.

"Hey! Rainbow Dash!" The voice called again. Rainbow's ears perked upright as she realized it wasn't her imagination.

"Yeah?" She asked as she saw a hovering form. She then realized it was Soarin. She gazed into his emerald eyes for a second before briefly looking at the ground.

"You forgot a cloud. I got it," he responded as he kicked the cloud, causing it to vanish. Rainbow looked up at him and smiled.

"What are you doing here? I would think you would rather be hanging out in Cloudsdale than down here!"

Soarin shrugged as he looked into Rainbow's eyes. "I thought it would be nice to escape the clouds and walk on solid ground for a short amount of time." He then looked down to his stomach, looking hungry. "Do you know any place to get some nice treats?"

Rainbow nodded. "Of course! Sugarcube Corner makes the best desserts!"

Soarin smiled. "Alright! Wanna tag along?"

"Sure!" Rainbow responded without hesitation. She flew up next to Soarin and continued walking. Soarin glanced at her and smiled.

"It is very nice down here. A very different environment than Cloudsdale, that's for sure," Soarin remarked, looking at the buildings.

"Uh... yeah. It is very different," Rainbow responded. She then saw two pegasus fillies come to a stop right in front of her and Soarin.

"Oh my gosh! You're Soarin!" A filly said as she and her friend bounced up and down in excitement.

"Uh... yeah!" Soarin responded as the two hovered in the air.

"Can you sign this piece of paper?" One asked, shoving paper in his face.

"Can you sign my saddlebag?" The other one added on as her friend looked at her.

"That's a good idea!" She then took her saddlebag off her back. "Can you sign both my bag and the paper?"

"Hey! I want to have two signatures as well!" The other than took out a piece of paper.

Soarin backed up a few paces as the two fillies gave him sweet, adorable eyes. "Alright. It's always nice to meet fans." One of the fillies gave him a pen; which he used to sign.

"Thankyousomuch!" The fillies responded excitedly in unison. They then giggled as they flew off; pretending they were Wonderbolts dashing through the sky. Rainbow chuckled.

"They remind me of myself at that age." She then chuckled again. "Is it awesome having fans all over Equestria?"

Soarin gave her a nudge on her shoulder, which made Rainbow flush. "You would know. You're famous, y'know."

Rainbow smiled as she remembered. "Oh, right! I am famous!" She then nudged him back. "But I'm not a Wonderbolt like you."

"Not yet. You heard Spitfire and Fleetfoot. They think you're a great flier!" Soarin responded as Rainbow beamed.

"Thanks for reminding me of my awesomeness. I can't believe I forgot about how cool I am!" Rainbow responded as Soarin chuckled. She then looked up to see Sugarcube Corner.

"We're here!"

"What?" Soarin asked as he looked up. "Oh. Alright!"

The two walked through the door; a bell signaling their arrival. Mrs. Cake, who was working at the counter at the time, looked up and gave a friendly smile.

"Hello, you two! What can I get ya?"

Soarin scanned the desserts in the case as Rainbow made her order. "I'll have a chocolate cupcake, please!"

Mrs. Cake put a cupcake in front of her as Soarin got a huge smile. "I'll have that raspberry pie in the case!"

Mrs. Cake gave Soarin a smile. "Of course! I'm sure you get hungry as a Wonderbolt!" She then put the pie in front of him as he licked his lips hungrily.

"Yum! Thank you, ma'am!" He and Rainbow then put their bits on the counter.

"You're welcome, cupcake! I hope you enjoy!" Mrs. Cake responded before walking into the kitchen. Rainbow and Soarin walked down to a circular table and sat across from each other. Realization hit Rainbow as she realized it was just the two of them together. She felt some heat rise to her face but quickly shook it off.

"Hey Dashie!" Called a voice from across the bakery. Rainbow looked to see Pinkie Pie descending the stairs.

"Oh, hey, Pinkie!" Rainbow responded. Soarin turned around and caught sight of the bubbly mare bouncing up to Rainbow.

"So... what'ya two doing here?" She asked, giving Rainbow a certain look.

Rainbow rolled her eyes because of the look Pinkie was giving her. "Soarin wanted some treats, so I suggested we visit here."

Pinkie slowly nodded her head. "Okie dokie lokie..." She then squinted her eyes and walked a few paces away; still looking at Rainbow Dash. "I'll be watching..." she whispered as she walked out of the bakery.

Soarin looked over at Rainbow. "Did you do something to make her mad?"

Rainbow flushed and looked into his emerald eyes. "No! She's always like this."

Soarin smiled. "Wow. She sure is an interesting pony." He then took his last bite of pie as Rainbow stared at him in disbelief.

"You already finished that?"

Soarin nodded. "Of course! That was delicious!" He then turned to look at a clock on the wall. "Oh! I gotta go!" He started walking towards the door as he looked back at Rainbow Dash. "Wanna come to Cloudsdale in two days to fly with me, Spitfire, and Fleetfoot again? They told me to ask you while I was visiting."

Rainbow Dash smiled. "Sure!"

Soarin gave her a smile back. "Alright! See you at the Wonderbolts Training Center in two days!"

"See ya!" Rainbow responded as Soarin waved and trotted out of the bakery. Rainbow's smile faded as she watched him fly away.

The door creaked open as a pink blur rocketed in a took a seat next to Rainbow. "I'm always watching..." Pinkie said as Rainbow looked over at her. The pink mare then disappeared as quickly as she appeared.

Second Flight

The Wonderbolts Training Center. Rainbow Dash smiled when she caught sight of it in the distance. Many fluffy clouds were around it, and it was a large, white dome with columns holding it up. Cloudsdale architecture was definitely something Rainbow admired. She flew closer as she got a better look at the many obstacles inside. She then saw a blur rocket through a few of the rings. Her eyes followed it until it slowed. She then saw it was Soarin. Soarin looked over and saw her. A bright smile spread across his face.

"Rainbow Dash! Hi there!" He greeted as he flew over to her.

"Hey!" Rainbow responded as she looked around her. "Where are Spitfire and Fleetfoot?"

Soarin thought for a moment. "In all honesty, I don't know. I know that they went to get lunch together after training, but that's about it."

Rainbow nodded. "Gotcha. Now... what do you wanna do?"

Soarin gave a playful roll of his eyes. "Duh! Fly!" He then spread his wings and took off. Rainbow followed him as the two flew through many rings. Rainbow did a few twists when going through them; she was obviously trying to show how great of a flyer she is.

"Think you're so cool?" Soarin called back. Rainbow nodded.

"I know I'm cool! I'm twenty percent cooler than you would ever be!" Rainbow remarked as Soarin raised an eyebrow.

"Well then... try this!" He then flew down and flipped a lever. The rings then started moving back and forth.

Rainbow got a daring smile on her face. "You are so on!" She remarked as she took off. Soarin hovered beside her.

"Go!" He yelled as the two rocketed off. Rainbow easily got ahead of Soarin as she started doing tricks around the rings. She became absorbed in trying to show off her skills that she didn't realize a ring was right next to her face. When she looked over, the moving ring hit her in the face, sending her falling. Rainbow tried to get her wing muscles to work, but her body was too shocked from being hit.

Soarin watched as she started falling towards the ground. Out of instinct, he took off to catch her. Rainbow had managed to spread her wings so her fall would be slowed down, but she couldn't flap them. Soarin flapped his wings as hard as he could. He soon reached her and flew under her, catching the mare on his back.

Rainbow realized she wasn't falling anymore. She looked down to find herself on Soarin's back. A flush rose to her face as she realized he was carrying her back up.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he looked at her. Rainbow nodded.

"Y-yeah..." she stammered. She then heard two voices coming over to her and Soarin.

"Soarin! I didn't realize you were public transportation!" Spitfire teased as Fleetfoot giggled. Rainbow and Soarin turned to find them hovering next to them. Rainbow realized that she was still sitting on Soarin's back. The muscles in her body started working again as she hopped off his back, her face turning red.

"Sorry Spitfire, but I'm not a transportation device. Rainbow got hit in the face by the moving ring and fell towards the ground. I swooped down and saved her, like any good Wonderbolt would do," Soarin responded as Spitfire gave him a small glare.

"Soarin! I gave you instructions to not turn those things on! You always seem to get hurt by them!" Spitfire reminded as Soarin looked down.

"Uh... sorry, Spitfire. I thought that you meant only when I'm alone I can't turn them on," Soarin responded as he looked back up at Spitfire.

"It's alright. Now, let's not worry about apologizing to each other and fly!" Spitfire responded. She then turned the moving rings off. "Rainbow Dash!"

"Yes, ma'am!" Rainbow responded as she flew down over to Spitfire.

"I'm happy you're alright. But, next time, be careful," Spitfire remarked as Rainbow nodded.

"Of course, ma'am!" Spitfire gave a chuckle to Rainbow's comment.

"Rainbow Dash! You don't have to refer to me like we're training! This is a friendly get together!" Spitfire responded as she nudged Rainbow. "Now, let's go. We have a race to compete in!" Spitfire then flew over to the other two with Rainbow Dash on her tail.

The four flew around until their wings became tired. Fleetfoot was the first to descend.

"I don't know about you three, but I'm tired. It's almost time for Luna to raise the moon!" Fleetfoot remarked as she got a drink of water.

Rainbow looked to the sky. "Wow. I didn't realize it was that late!"

Spitfire nodded. "Same with me. I think I'm ready to go home. I think Fleetfoot is, too."

Fleetfoot nodded. "Yep!"

Rainbow Dash gave a smile. "Alright. Tonight was fun!"

Spitfire nodded. "You said it! We need to definitely do this again sometime!" She then turned to Fleetfoot. "Let's go. We better get a good night's rest before training tomorrow."

The two then took off, leaving Rainbow and Soarin standing next to each other.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to watch Luna raise the moon from that cloud over there," Rainbow remarked as she pointed over to an isolated cloud. She then hovered to the fluffy cloud. She sat down on the soft substance as the wind brushed against her fur. She sat there for a few seconds before she felt something land on the cloud and lie down next to her.

"It sounds nice to watch the moon rise tonight. I never usually get to spend some quiet time with all the stuff I need to do. Being a Wonderbolt isn't just flying. A lot of boring paperwork is involved," Soarin said as he looked over at Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash glanced back.

"I bet. I still really want to be one, though."

Soarin nodded his head. "Yeah. You'd make a great one."

Rainbow felt heat rise to her face. "Thanks."

The two then saw the moon start to rise.

"It's beautiful. Luna's night is certainty something," Soarin remarked as Rainbow nodded in agreement.

"Yeah. The nighttime is much better now that Luna's back," Rainbow responded. She wanted so badly to scoot closer to Soarin and rest up against him. The moment felt so romantic; the urge was so strong. She quickly shook it out of her head. She couldn't believe what she was becoming. She used to be a rough and tough tomboy, but now... she's turned into a helpless romantic. She stood up.

"This was nice, but I have to go. I'll see you soon!" Rainbow remarked as Soarin sat up.

"Yep! I think I'll stay here. See you later!" He responded as he waved to Rainbow. The rainbow mare then descended from Cloudsdale. She truly did not want to leave Soarin, but she also didn't want the romantic urge she had to become any stronger to the point where she actually rested up against him. That would leave her flooded with embarrassment.

She soon saw Ponyville and swooped down. She hoped that Soarin would come to Ponyville again in a few days. It gets boring when he's not there. She shrugged it off and walked to her home.

To Woo a Stallion

"Bored, bored, bored, bored..." Rainbow said to herself as she paced around her floor. She couldn't think of anything to do. Soarin wasn't coming to Ponyville today, so she had nothing to occupy her time with. She checked outside. Still raining. The soft pitter patter of rain gave her some relaxation, but prevented her from flying in the cool, open skies. She groaned and plopped onto her bed.

"I guess I could hang out with my friends... I'm sure at least one of them has an opening!" Rainbow said to herself as she trotted towards her door. She opened it and spread her wings. Within a second, she flapped them and took off into the sky. The rain stung her fur, but she shook it off. She decided to visit Applejack first. The honest earth pony was probably inside on a rainy day like today. Rainbow swooped down in front of the farm and trotted to the door, giving it a knock.

"Comin'!" Applejack called as Rainbow stood patiently outside the door. The door was soon opened to show Applejack.

"Rainbow Dash! It's nice to see ya here!" Applejack remarked as she shoved Rainbow inside.

"Uh... it's nice to see you, too!" Rainbow responded as Applejack quickly shut the door. "Why are you in such an urge to talk to me?" Rainbow asked as Applejack giggled.

"Well, Ah just wanna know what happened. Ya know... with your colt-friend," Applejack responded as she playfully nudged Rainbow in the side. Rainbow felt heat rise to her cheeks and tried to shake it off.

"Applejack, he's not my colt-friend! And what makes you think something happened?" Rainbow asked as Applejack shrugged.

"Ya never know." She then giggled again. "Oh, yeah. Rarity said she wants to see ya today. So, I'm now sending you off to her!"

Rainbow's eyes widened. "Rarity?! Does she want details too?!"

Applejack smothered a chuckle. "Ah reckon. Now, you better get over there before she comes after ya like a rattlesnake," Applejack responded as she shoved Rainbow out the door.

Rainbow narrowed her eyes. "You owe me an apple pie after I'm done with Rarity for forcing me to go over and spill details."

Applejack smiled. "Hey, sugar-cube, Ah didn't force ya to do anythin'. I'm just suggestin' ya should go talk to her."

Rainbow gave a playful roll of her eyes. "Whatever. You better start making that apple pie so I can chow down in a few minutes!" Rainbow responded as she took off into the sky.

"Oh, good afternoon, Rainbow Dash~!" Rarity remarked in a sing-songy voice as she saw Rainbow outside her front door.

"Hey! Applejack told me you wanted to see me?" Rainbow responded as Rarity got a small twinkle in her eyes. Rainbow caught her look and immediately regretted the decision of coming over.

"Of course I do, darling. Come in and take a seat," Rarity responded as Rainbow walked inside the boutique. She took a seat on a soft, red couch as Rarity sat across from her.

"Alright. I wanted to talk to you because I read something in a magazine the other day," Rarity remarked as Rainbow's eyes widened.

"Am I in a magazine?!" Rainbow responded as Rarity shook her head.

"Nope!" She then levitated a magazine over to her. Rainbow looked at the front cover in disgust.

"You read romantic gossip magazines?" Rainbow asked as Rarity nodded.

"Of course I do! Romantic gossip is simply the best gossip out there!" Rarity responded as she took the magazine back and flipped through the pages. "Hm... oh! Here it is!" Rarity said as she giggled. She levitated the magazine to Rainbow Dash.

"How to... woo a stallion?!" Rainbow read out loud as her face turned from light blue to Macintosh-red. Rarity let out a giggle.

"Darling, I think you need these tips. You seem to be madly in love with Soarin."

Rainbow's cheeks turned redder than before. "I...we... I'm not in love with Soarin!"

Rarity giggled. "Sure you're not," she said with a wink. Rainbow rolled her eyes as she looked at the magazine.

"One way to woo a stallion is to flirt-" Rainbow looked over at Rarity. "I am not flirting with him. Never, ever, ever."

Rarity let out a giggle. "I know you won't, Rainbow. Look though those tips till you find something that catches your eye."

Rainbow sighed in defeat as she looked at the words written on the page. "Show the best of yourself: in both looks and personality," Rainbow read. Rarity let out a squeal.

"You just found the perfect way to pick up Soarin. I can tell from the way you're looking at the words."

Rainbow's face flushed again. "Uh... I... I don't know. Why can't I just be myself in front of him?"

Rarity walked over to Rainbow. "But darling! Impressing him could lead him to asking you out on a date sooner than he would have otherwise!"

"A date?!" Rainbow let out a small squeak, sounding a little like Fluttershy. Rarity nodded.

"Rainbow, we all know you want to be more than friends with him and go out on a date! Don't deny it~!" Rarity cooed as Rainbow turned her head away, feeling another flush rise to her face.

"This was nice Rarity, but I... gotta go! I'll see you later!" Rainbow responded as she dropped the magazine and flew outside. Rarity giggled as she flew away.

"Ugh... that unicorn..." Rainbow remarked as she flew towards Sweet Apple Acres. "Oh well. Time to get a reward for the torture I put up with!"
