The pegasus was tired. No, she was exhausted. This day may have been one of the happiest of her life, but it was also almost certainly one of the most physically demanding. Not only had she flown with her heroes the Wonderbolts at Princess Celestia's garden party, but just hours prior to that she had flown at break-neck speed all the way to the Crystal mountains and back. Of course, it had been worth it. To see Spitfire leading the team through the display and knowing that she had been chosen over her former idol, Wind Rider, was more than Rainbow Dash could ever have hoped for. Yet, no matter how much she cherished the memories which had been made today, Rainbow Dash had still used up every drop of her energy in doing so. Still, however, she couldn't sleep. Couldn't even bring herself to close her eyes, still replaying the events of the day over and over again through her frazzled mind. Though, as the rainbow maned pegasus soon discovered, she wasn't the only one. A knock at her door elicited another groan of anguished fatigue from the pony. Who in Equestria could have possibly thought that now was a good time to call in and pay her a visit? Princess Luna, perhaps? Or maybe Wind Rider, attempting a second consecutive break-in so that he could pay Rainbow Dash back for taking his place on the team. Wearily, Rainbow floated over to the door and called out to whoever lay beyond, her voice even more gravelly than usual. "Whoever's there, I'm sorry. It's late, and I'm trying to sleep. Can't you come back tomorrow?" A pause. A rather lengthy pause in fact. And then... a surprisingly soft, meek reply. "Oh. Uh... okay. Sorry to bother you." The pegasus pony's eyes bulged, and for a moment or two she found herself wide awake once more as she fumbled with the handle of the bedchamber door. Flinging it open just seconds later, she darted out into the corridor, blocking the path of the pony who'd already turned in readiness to return from whence she'd come. "Spitfire, wait! I... I didn't think it would be you." In fact, even after calling out the other pegasus' name and finding herself standing directly before the fiery haired leader of the Wonderbolts, Rainbow Dash still had to take another few seconds to take in the appearance of the pony in front of her. Spitfire, while undeniably the same pony, didn't look anything like her usual fast and confident self. She wasn't wearing her Wonderbolt uniform, nor indeed was she wearing either her goggles or even a pair of shades. Her body was entirely bare, phoenix flamed cutie-mark aside, and even her mane was tousled and lying much more softly than usual. For some reason, it made her look smaller. Gentler. Spitfire's voice was smaller too. She spoke, but her words escaped softly and with an undeniable edge of nerves, just as they had when Rainbow Dash heard them through the door. "Yeah, it's me. I'm sorry I disturbed you, Rainbow. I should have waited till morning, it's just... I couldn't sleep." Rolling her eyes, Rainbow Dash nodded. "Yeah, me too. But... I don't know why. Do you have any idea?" The other pegasus seemed to consider the question for a moment, her eyes downcast and face strained with an uncertainty that looked more like it was born of fear than simple confusion. Eventually however, Spitfire answered in the only way she could think to do so. With the truth. "I don't know about you, but... I couldn't stop thinking about today. About how you flew all the way to the Crystal mountains to bring me back here. How you risked your own spot in the Garden party display to make sure that I knew my mother was fine, and that I didn't miss out on leading the Wonderbolts in the display with her in the audience to watch me." Blushing slightly, Rainbow Dash waved a dismissive hoof in the air. "Ah, it was nothing. Anypony would have done the same, if they could have." Spitfire shook her head, taking a step forward and tilting her head, bringing her eye to eye and intimately close to Rainbow Dash's face. "But anypony didn't, Rainbow. You did. Only you were fast enough, and loyal enough, to put my place in the display over your own. And... I... I just, I need to tell you how grateful I am. Need to show you how grateful I am." Rainbow Dash's face burned crimson, and she swallowed, her body trembling with nervous energy as she stared deep into Spitfire's wide and shining eyes. She could feel the other pegasus' breath against her face. Against her lips. It was like Spitfire was still moving towards her. Leaning in, closer. Closer. Closer. Spitfire planted a kiss, a light, tender kiss, upon Rainbow Dash's lips. They remained connected, neither of the pegasii drawing back for several seconds. Only then, delayed by sheer shock, did the younger pony have a chance to react and respond. With a muted squeak of what was almost certainly unbridled joy, Rainbow Dash pushed her mouth more firmly to the Wonderbolt's own. She began to kiss Spitfire in return, trembling as she felt a foreleg brushing against her own; caressing her tenderly and hooking its hoof around hers. All too soon, Spitfire broke the kiss, only to begin tugging on that leg she now had in her clutches. Urging Rainbow Dash to return to her bedroom, leading the blue coated pegasus' into the tower chamber that was hers alone for the rest of the night, and kicking the door firmly closed behind them. Not a word was shared between the two pegasii as they stumbled towards the bed, both exhausted to the extreme, but far too thrilled by what was happening to give any consideration to using the bed for its primary purpose. They scrambled up onto the soft sheets, only to tumble down together in a heap of legs and wings, bodies pushing up against one another and mouths seeking out the lips of the other pegasus anew. Wrapping themselves up in an intimate embrace, Rainbow Dash lay beneath Spitfire on her back. Rainbow's legs and wings encircled the mare lying astride her as gentle moans and giddy whinnies began to escape the pair, filling the otherwise still, silent air of the chamber. Tails flicked and lips quivered, the two ponies' bodies rocking and squirming against each other with obvious desire, yet not progressing any further. Not daring to break from their affectionate stream of ceaseless smooching and tender body-to-body contact for anything, no matter how pleasurable the potential reward may have been. How long they lay there together, wrapped up and lost in each other's lips and eyes and the embrace of their limbs, neither pegasus could possibly have guessed. Just as neither Spitfire nor Rainbow Dash could have said at what point it was that their eyelids began to droop, their kissing becoming sloppier and ever more lazy, until finally they weren't really able to claim to be kissing at all any longer. Their bodies sagged. Spitfire's weight sank fully down upon Rainbow's firm, lithe frame, and her head came to rest upon the other pony's multi-hued mane. Seamlessly, the pegasii transitioned from amorous intimacy to peaceful slumber. Finally, at last, their bodies permitted them to rest. Almost like they subconsciously knew that once renewed and re-invigorated by a good night's rest, they'd be able to make all the more use of their tender proximity. *************** Sure enough, when Rainbow Dash awoke the following morning, she did so with a whinny of pleasure. Her eyes fluttered open at the sound of her own voice calling out in excitement, and she felt her hips rising from the bed, legs stretching and tail quivering at the most wonderful sensation blossoming from her hindquarters. Glancing downward, Rainbow's eyes rapidly widened as she saw a tousled crop of fiery orange and yellow hair between her thighs. She flung a hoof over her mouth, but even that wasn't enough to hold back her cry of joy as she realised that her dream from the night before had in fact been entirely truthful. "A-Awesome..." To Rainbow's mixed frustration and joy, Spitfire lifted her head from between the blue coated hind legs of the other pegasus upon hearing that gleeful moan. The Wonderbolt captain's cheeks glowed red, but her eyes were sparkling with passion as she licked her already moist lips and winked up at Rainbow Dash. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Giggling bashfully, Rainbow wiggled her hips at the other mare invitingly. "Morning yourself. Having breakfast without me?" Spitfire grinned, bowing her head once more and practically speaking into Rainbow Dash's depths as she prepared to resume work. "Can you blame me? Waking up to a buffet spread like this... it gives a mare one heck of an appetite." With a gurgling cry, Rainbow Dash's eyes rolled back into her head as Spitfire resumed her oral attentions. Now fully conscious, Rainbow was able to appreciate just how agile the Wonderbolt's tongue was. How effectively her lips worked at teasing and allowing Spitfire to suckle upon her most intimate external reaches. She didn't know whether Spitfire had been working at her body for seconds before she awoke, or minutes, but either way, the multi-coloured pegasus could already feel her body growing tense and starting to shake uncontrollably. The muscles of her thighs and stomach were clenching tightly. Every moan and gleeful giggle to escape her was more and more heated. There was no hiding from it, she was primed and ready. "S-Spitfire...?" The moment she whimpered the other pony's name, Rainbow Dash inwardly cursed herself. She had been so close, yet she knew that speaking her lover's name in such a heated but questioning tone would almost certainly delay her satisfaction. Sure enough, Spitfire's head rose from between Rainbow's thighs for a second time, her mouth even more stained by glistening moisture than before. "Yeah?" Rainbow's cheeks flushed, and she felt herself hesitating. It was foolish to do so, after all one couldn't really be shy about asking a pony a question when they were busily eating you out. But still, it took the pegasus a few more seconds to gather herself before she was able to ask what was on her mind. "When you came over here last night... w-was this why?" Without speaking, Spitfire inclined her head affirmatively. The other pony's face flushed deeper with pride and bashful joy. She squirmed in hopeful anticipation. "Have you... I mean, do you... have you thought about this before? About me. Us. Like this?" Again, Spitfire nodded. Rainbow Dash felt her heart leap, and whimpered under her breath. "Omigosh... omigosh... o-oh... so, why now? Why yesterday? I know you were grateful, but this is more than a thank you. This is more than awesome. It's... superawesomeriffic!" Smirking in amusement, Spitfire broke her silence at last. "That's because you're more than awesome, Rainbow. I've liked you for a long time. You caught my eye since the first time your cute flank flashed by me. But... I try to be careful with who I choose to spend my time with. My personal time. It's lots of fun being a Wonderbolt, but there's lots of responsibility too. I don't often get time to indulge and relax, so when I do... I try to surround myself with only the most awesome ponies. Ponies I can rely on. Ponies I can have fun with. Ponies I know will understand what's important to the Wonderbolts, but what's important to me, too." Gently, Spitfire lowered her head and planted a soft kiss upon the other pegasus pony's crotch. A fond, intimate kiss, before continuing with a warm smile. "Yesterday, you didn't just bring me back here so I could run the show. When you found me on the Crystal mountains, the first thing you said to me was that I didn't need to worry any more. That my mom was healthy, and safe. You wanted to make sure I wasn't upsetting myself by continuing to worry about her, more than you wanted to help the Wonderbolts by getting me back to Canterlot in time for our display. That meant the world to me, Rainbow. That's why I knew that I wouldn't be able to sleep until I had my hooves wrapped around you... and why now, I won't be content until I've made you scream." Rainbow's whole face burned scarlet. She squirmed, giggling with euphoric excitement and murmuring in anticipation as Spitfire's muzzle lowered itself yet again, planting another series of kisses all over her inner thighs and the flesh of her nether regions. "I... I'm so glad you're here. But, scream? I... I don't think any pony's ever made me scream before. Except myself, w-when I've been alone. But y'know what they say about a girl and her hoof being the best of friends." An intense shudder ran down Rainbow Dash's spine as she felt Spitfire resume her licking without another word. She gasped loudly, and laughed delightedly. "Oh... ohh, b-but I do like a pony who tries her best. That Wonderbolt spirit I've a-always admired." Soon however, her giggling abated. Her already wide eyes began to bulge, and her heated gasping turned to shorter, sharper panting breaths. Spitfire's tongue... it was doing things it hadn't attempted before now. Moving in ways, hitting at sweet spots the other pegasus wasn't aware any pony but her knew about. Bashfully, overwhelmed by the sudden intensity of the pleasure coursing through her, Rainbow Dash shook her head where it lay upon the soft pillows of her bed. "Spitfire... I... I don't think. I mean, m-maybe we should... s-slow down? I... can't. So... so good. So... oohh. Oohhhmigosh..." Rainbow Dash squirmed. She tried to pull herself up the bed, away from the Wonderbolt's impossibly talented tongue. Away from Spitfire's seemingly endless gratitude, and the flood of intense ecstasy which came with it. But it was too late. Already the other pony's forelegs were holding onto her hips, pulling Rainbow Dash's crotch ever tighter against Spitfire's lips. Allowing her tongue to probe deeper. To explore and tease and touch ever more frequently and firmly at those hidden inner depths. Nostrils flaring, eyes rolling wildly in their sockets, Rainbow Dash bucked and thrashed upon the bed. Her wings flexed and flapped without control, and her mouth hung wide open, slack-jawed with mindless pleasure. She was flying. Soaring. Racing towards the sky upon a fiery comet. Forelegs outstretched, waiting for someone to catch her. Someone who was waiting up there in the heavens... ready, eager to catch her. A twinkling pair of eyes. A confident grin. A blazing mane, emerging from a stunning blue flight suit. Spitfire. "S-Spitfire..." Rainbow Dash whimpered helplessly. "Spitfire..." She repeated, louder. More desperately and urgently as her whole body seemed to lock up, every muscle convulsing at once, frozen on the brink of ecstasy. "Spitfire, y-yes!" She screamed in rapturous elation, not simply losing control as she climaxed, but surrendering it. Letting go of all that might have held her back, and willingly throwing herself headlong into her lover's impassioned care. By Jeeves
