> Wolf-Dragon > by Toa Coy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > beginnings part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright this is a continuation of The Wolf-Dragon series. Now this will still focus on Lobo and Draca in the first two chapters but then shift to their kids and there lives. Note: I tried to set it up so that the kids are younger than the mane six but older than the CMC. Enjoy. ~Toa Coy~ The sun was just about to break over the horizon of a misty autumn morning. The ground was still damp from the rain last night, the winds from the storm also knocked a few leaves and branches down in a forest near a large cave. The forest was calm and peaceful, then the sounds of a chase echoed through the forest were two sounds; one was a drumming sound while the other was more of a thud. A deer runs away from the cave followed by a sandy brown wolf. The deer is limbing from a creaked femur but it sill could our run the wolf. Now the question is how long can the deer stay ahead of the wolf. "Crud, why do I always do this?" The wolf thought to himself. "Come on Lobo, you have been hunting since you were old enough to go outside of the den." Lobo saw that the deer make a wrong turn and smiled. "That was your final mistake." Lobo said to himself. The deer had turned into an area that caused the trees to grow close together and formed three walls that blocked anyway out but the way you came in. The deer notice this too late and stopped before it hit any of the trees in front of it. It tried to turn around and run the way it came but was tackled by Lobo. The two were thrashing around on the ground; growls and cries of pain were heard from this fight. Then a sicking snap was heard. Neither of them moved when the snap was heard, then Lobo started to raise up moving the deer off of him. Lobo shook himself and turned to the now dead deer. "Here is hoping that I killed the deer this time." Lobo thought to himself. With that he went over to the deer's throat and clamped down on it. When he let go only air and blood came out of it. Lobo nodded to himself and slung the deer's body on to his back. It took a few minutes for Lobo to carry the dead deer back to the cave. By the time he crossed the threshold of the cave he slumped down on to the ground slipping the deer off of him. He then got up, cocked his head to the left, and stretched his body; this released a series of pops that ran through his body. "So much better," He said walking it off. Lobo moved deeper into the cave and then turned a corner and passed through a curtain that is used to keep the heat in this part of the cave in winter time. As the curtain fell behind him Lobo took a look around; to his right he scanned a bookshelf stuffed with books from a "Who done it?" to old bed time story, to his left were a set of cushions with a blue flame floating between the two, and in front of him was a low table with several more cushions around it beyond that was a full kitchen. "I wonder where Draca could be?" Lobo thought to himself then shrugged and walked over to a cushion. "Probably at her mother's house or out on one of her weird craving run." With that thought on his mind he curled on a cushion. Meanwhile Just outside of Canterlot, a teenage silver and gray dragon was chatting with a pearl coated unicorn with minty blue mane and a pair of angel wings and halo on her flank. Both of them seem abnormally large around their bellies. "Draca how has the carvings been since you last came by." The unicorn said turning her head to see a two story blue cottage with a tiled roof and above it was a gray cloud house with a silver outlined. "I just hope my husband is back from Cloudsdale soon. Every since he got promoted to assistant weather controller he seems to be very busy." Draca put a hand on the unicorn's shoulder. "It was a lot easier to comfort her when I younger." Draca thought as they walked into the house. It was a tight fit for the Dragon, since the house was designed for somepony shorter then her. Still this place had a lot of memories for these two. They moved into this house after Angel, the unicorn, turned sixteen and moved on to be a mage for the princess. Draca remembered all the good time she and Angel had together. While Draca was going down memory lane Angel was in the kitchen washing some apples and grapes for a snack, even if the two just came from lunch. Angel looked at the pregnant teenage dragoness and with a sight she turned back to the sink and turned the water off. While the pass few months have seemed to fly by, Angel couldn't help but feel that she was losing Draca. For nearly eleven years she had cared for the dragoness and now Draca was about to have kids of her own to care for. Angel just was happy that Draca was happy. Still she felt sad by how little she would see her in the next few months. An agonizing scream snapped Angel out of her sadness and cause her to run to the living room, for she knew that scream came from Draca. Elsewhere above Canterlot A dark navel blue pegasus stallion with a blue and black mane, tail, and navel blue leathery bat wings was flying back to his home and his lovely unicorn wife. "The pay for this job is good but it take too much time away from Angel and with her as she is she needs me." The pegasus thought as he near his home. Just when the pegasus was about to land at the bottom house he heard an scream that made him think one thing, "Angel is in danger!" He burst through the door ready to buck up anypony that dare hurt his wife. To his surprise, shock, and just a little bit of horror, he saw Draca on the floor in a puddle of clear liquid and panting heavily with Angel next to her. "What is going on in here?" The pegasus said still surveying the area to see if there was anypony else there. "I was in the kitchen getting some fruit for a snack when Draca screamed, then I came in here and found her in this puddle. I was about to ask her what was the matter when came bursting in." Angel said looking the pegasus square in the eyes. The pegasus sweat dropped and put a hoof behind his head, "Sorry dear, but when I heard that scream I when into a panic because I thought you and the baby were in trouble." Angel's eyes soften, but before she could answer Draca spoke up. "This is nice and all (pant) but mom you and Leather can work (pant) this out later (groan) because I think I'm going into labor." Draca said then screamed as another way of pain when through her body. Both Angel and Leather wear surprise looks but as soon as Draca screamed the went into a drill they practiced for the past few months, with one exception. "Dear I want you to fly to Draca and Lobo's cave and get Lobo. Met me at the clinic in town." Angel said as horn started to glow white. "Got ya dear." Leather replied with a salute and then he flew out the door. Angel nodded and then looked at Draca. "How are you feeling D?" Angel said as she tried to lift the teenage dragon with magic. "How do you think?!?!" The dragon snapped at the unicorn. Angel just focused on lifting the dragon but had a thought in the back of her mind, "Will I be this hostile when I go into labor?" Angel then slowly moved Draca out of the house, while Draca groaned as an other wave of pain went through her body.
