> The Adventures of Sweetie Belle and Button Mash: BitCraft Explorers! > by SweetieMash4Ever > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: Intruder! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Come on, Sweetie Belle!” Button Mash pushed his friend playfully. Sweetie Belle laughed and said, “I know, I know! Just hang on a sec… Let me get this last bit of… Got it!” Sweetie Belle cheered as she grabbed the last little bit of gold that she needed to gather for her supplies. Turning, she whipped her mane proudly and said, “Hah! Beat that!” Button Mash shook his head, smiling. Sweetie Belle just glimmered in her diamond blue outfit. Her little tiara and chest plate really complimented her well. Button turned and looked into the water, admiring his red and white armor outfit. He smirked handsomely and turned to Sweetie Belle. “Say… Shall we trot back victoriously, M'lady?” Sweetie Belle giggled. “Oh why yes, of course!” Laughing, they raced towards their humble abode called “home”, or more referred to as “The Greatest Fortress Ever”. They’d worked really hard on crafting their fort. It was docked with all kinds of weapons, shields, and animals galore. Sweetie Belle raced past one of the cows that were grazing on the digital grass. Button Mash laughed out loud and said, “Nice dodge!” She nodded and continued onward... Shortly after, they reached home base. With one last burst of speed, Button Mash rushed ahead and tapped the wall of their fort. “Hah! I’m the winner!” Button Mash cheered. “No fair, Button Mash! You cheated,” Sweetie Belle said, laughing. Button Mash turned towards her and smirked once more. Together, the two went inside and sat down in front of their fireplace. “Man, playing BitCraft this long would normally make my brain hurt, but with you… Anything is possible!” Button Mash said confidently. Sweetie Belle blushed lightly and turned away, smiling shyly. They’d played for seven hours straight, and finally they had reached their goal of gathering enough materials. “Awesome,” Sweetie Belle said. “Now, we should be able to finish our statue.” Sweetie Belle stood up and approached the statue by the fireplace. All that was missing was the top half of the statue. It depicted two ponies starting to form, presumably Sweetie Belle and Button Mash. She sat in front of it and started piecing together the necessary parts to complete it. Button Mash got up and decided to chill out on the balcony of the fort. He walked up the stairs slowly, beings that he was exhausted from today. After being chased by Creeper Ponies and other monsters, his energy was quite spent. He reached the top of the stairs in about two minutes. He stretched his legs and yawned, arching his back to and fro. “Ah, that’s better,” he said to himself. He then walked calmly towards the library area of the fort. He entered into a world of words and stories, gazing all around him as he past. The place was lined with bookshelves upon bookshelves of imagination. He gasped with relief when he spotted the doorway to the balcony. Running as fast as his little legs would allow him, he charged for the door. He breathed in fresh, digital air as he let himself fall onto the balcony railing. “Aaaaaaaah…” he said. He closed his eyes slowly, taking in a time of rest and relaxation. Sweetie Belle was just finishing up the statue. Quick as a flash, she had completed Button’s half of the statue. His statue depicted him cheering, with his sword firmly attached to his belt. Sweetie’s half was still in the works. She had just finished her trademark pickaxe. It laid by her side. The lower half of her face was complete, with a bright smile just visible. All she needed was the upper half, from the nose up. She smiled, pleased with herself. She set to work on the last part of her face when she heard a sudden noise. She gasped and turned, startled. “Button Mash? Is that you?” Sweetie Belle asked. Nopony answered. She started shaking, the feeling of uneasiness settling in. “Button Mash!?” she called out. Still, there was no answer. She started to panic, sensing that a monster could be lurking nearby. She got slowly and approached the front door. Pressing her ear up against it, she heard a low grumble. “Something’s growling out there!” she shouted. She took off for the stairs, searching for her partner. “Button Mash! Where are you!?” Sweetie Belle rushed as fast as she could. She had no idea what was making that noise, however she knew that she needed to find Button Mash. “I’ve got a bad feeling about all of this… I hope he’s okay. I swear, if we lose all of our stuff… I’m going to be so mad!!!” Sweetie Belle raged. The little Unicorn filly charged through the fort, looking everywhere for her pal. She couldn’t find him anywhere! Suddenly, her worst fears were confirmed. Out of nowhere, a Creeper Pony popped up through a window. It roared at Sweetie Belle, frightening her. She screamed and took off for the library. She raced through the door and slammed it shut just as the Creeper Pony tried to force his way in. Turning towards the balcony entrance, she thought that maybe she could spot Button outside somewhere. Gasping as she ran, she thought to herself, “What I am going to do!? I can’t just keep running! Button Mash is the one who usually does all of the fighting. Gah!” Suddenly, a familiar figure came into view. She breathed a sigh of relief as Button appeared in the doorway. “Oh! Hi Sweet—” But before he could finish his sentence, Sweetie Belle interrupted him. “Come on! There’s a Creeper Pony on the loose in the fort!” He gasped and got his “game face” on. Snorting and growling with excitement, he charged towards the sound of the Creeper Pony. “RAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!” he screamed. Quick as lightning, he flung out his sword while Sweetie Belle magically opened the door. Within seconds, the Creeper Pony went from standing to vanishing as the sword cut through it like butter. “YEAH!!!!” the two cheered proudly. Suddenly, a comforting, yet firm voice was heard. “Button! Rarity’s here. Sweetie Belle needs to head home for the night.” Button Mash’s eyes flashed before him, and he remembered that he and Sweetie Belle were sitting in his room on the floor. “Wow, that sure was fun, Button!” Sweetie Belle commented. Button smiled sheepishly. “Yeah… Too bad we have to end the day, huh?” he asked. Sweetie Belle nodded sadly. “Yeah… But hey! There’s always tomorrow right!?” The two hoof-bumped and then slowly got to their hooves. Rarity and Pokemare were waiting downstairs as the filly and colt raced down to meet them. “Don’t worry, darling. You can come back tomorrow,” Rarity commented. Sweetie Belle nodded. “Bye, Button Mash! See you tomorrow!” Button Mash waved and said, “Alright! First thing after school, then!” The two smiled and turned away from each other. They couldn’t wait until their next gaming session...
