> Kind of married to your crush > by MLPFan234 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a typical Monday morning. As I looked around class, I saw that many people were either groaning or rolling their eyes at Cheerilee, who was in the middle of a talk. Nobody was happy, and why would they be? I wasn’t either, being back at school after a relaxing weekend sucked. It was just another boring, eventless, school day. One where you’d sit in your seat for hours and do work with nothing exciting happening. Looking to my left, I saw Sunset Shimmer: the girl I had fallen in love with. It wasn't always like that, of course. I actually didn't even have a crush on her in the beginning! I had moved into town with my mom, and she had demanded that I go to Canterlot High. Something about it being one of the highest-rated schools in the country. Sunset was the first person I met when I arrived. She was very kind, which I found rather strange. I had heard so many rumors at the time about her turning into some sort of raging she-demon. I heard stories about her once being the school's biggest bully. Basically, a girl who did what she wanted, when she wanted. So obviously, I was reluctant to trust her. I thought that, perhaps, she was just acting nice to me, plotting to use me for some evil plans. But I was dead wrong, she was actually a nice girl. We ended up hanging out for a while, but it wasn't anything romantic. Just a couple of friends chatting, playing games, having fun. Not long after, though, I started to develop feelings for her. She was beautiful, kind, and easily the most amazing person ever. It was so strange to believe that she was once a bully. How could she have possibly turned from a bully, to this?! "Alright class," spoke Cheerilee, gathering everybody’s attention. Taking out a small bowl from under her desk and placing it on the table, she continued. "You’re going to have a different task than the usual paperwork." "And that is...?" Applejack inquired, raising an eyebrow. "As you may recall, I asked half of the class to write their names on slips of paper yesterday. I've put them in this fishbowl," Cheerilee held the bowl up to show the class. "Your assignment will be to act out a mock marriage with a classmate. The half of the class that didn’t write down their names yesterday will be picking names from this bowl.” "Wait, will we have to get married to our partner?!" Pinkie Pie practically shouted. “Of course not! This assignment’s goal is to show you how hard it can be to maintain a relationship. So no, I don't actually expect you to start dating your partner. However, in order for this to work, you’ll both have to participate and communicate accordingly." Cheerilee grinned. "And if you end up being paired with someone of the same gender, then you’ll just have to deal with it. Same sex marriages are common in this day and age, so I see no reason that you couldn’t act one out." "I suppose this can't be too hard," I whispered to myself. Maybe to reassure myself, maybe in the hope that I wouldn’t get paired with the girl I actually did like. Picking up the bowl of names, Cheerilee began walking to the right side of the class. "Now, I'm going to come around with the bowl. The half of the class who didn't write their name will pick a scrap of paper with their partner's name on it. Once you have your paper, you will open it and see who will be your spouse for the assignment." "Oh, Fluttershy, dear! Guess who your wife is!" Rarity, the first to pick, chuckled as she uncrumpled her paper. "Um, I don't... know?" Fluttershy meekly replied. "I wrote my name on the paper, and I have no idea who has it." Rarity rolled her eyes and giggled. "It's me!" "Oh my," Fluttershy deeply blushed, covering her face. "We have to act like we're married?" "Exactly!" Exclaimed Cheerilee, a smile on her face. "I got... Sonata Dusk?!" Shouted Sweetie Drops, the next to pick, reading her paper plenty of times. "This can't be right!" "Yay! I have a pretend wife now!" Sonata giggled. "Let's get some tacos to celebrate, honey!" As Cheerilee handed me my paper, I slowly opened it. I was nervous about who I was going to get. Once I opened it, however, I sighed with relief. Looking to my left, I poked Sunset. and she turned towards me with that damned smile. "Yes...?" Said Sunset. "Guess what! I'm your husband!" I chuckled nervously. "Uh..." Sunset gave me a puzzled look. "I get it. I'm a loser." I sighed. Her lack of a reply was evidence enough of that... "No, no! It's not that." Sunset blushed, embarrassed. "A lot of people don't trust me anymore, not that I blame them. I'm just surprised that you’re okay with me being your partner." "Well, that's strange," I chuckled. "You’re so awesome and kind." "Well if you knew about my past, you probably wouldn’t feel that way either." I wanted to say something, but Sunset swiftly turned back to the front of the class, obviously saddened by our talk. I didn’t have much time to think about it though, as Cheerilee addressed the class once again. As I turned my head back to Cheerilee, she placed another bowl onto her desk. "Alright class," she began. "Now that you all have your partners, you will pick out another piece of paper. This one will tell you what job you will have." Cheerilee's first mistake, however, was giving Pinkie Pie first pick. "A brain surgeon!?" Pinkie gasped. "Yeah, uh—" Cheerilee said, taking the paper out of Pinkie's hand and replacing it with a different one. "I think a clown fits you better." It didn’t take long for Cheerilee to reach Sunset and I, and I had the first pick between us. "I'm a bus driver," I said with a chuckle. "I'm a makeup designer," Sunset tittered. "I'm not that great at art or makeup, though." "Okay everyone," said Cheerilee. "Class is over for the day, but be sure to spend a lot of time with you partner. This task will be , but it will end sooner then you think. After tomorrow, we'll see how good progress you all have made! Goodbye, now." With that, everyone exited the class with their partner, including me and Sunset. "So, who did you girls get?" Sunset asked her closest friends. "I'm with Vinyl!" Pinkie announced with a giggle. "I bet it’s fun to be married to a DJ!" "I'm with this guy called Lee, he's new,” Applejack said with a shrug. "So, I don't know much about him. He seems nice, though." "I'm with Fluttershy." Rarity grinned. "And I'm with Big Mac!" Rainbow shouted, obviously for Applejack’s benefit. Applejack's eye's widen. "Wait, what?!" Lyra Heartstrings rushed into Cheerilee's class. "Excuse me t-teacher," Lyra took a deep breath from all the running she just did. "Sorry I'm late, I already told you that I had the dentist, but I still came to school." "Yes, Lyra. I remembered." Cheerilee grinned. "We had an assignment today, where two people had to have a partner. It was a task to see how hard marriage can be, and since no one is left to be your partner—" "Not even Sweetie Drops?!" "No, not even her. That means you'll have to be someone's child." "What?!" "Yes, Applejack and Lee would be nice. You’re going to act as their child." “B-but!” Lyra could think of no argument and simply sighed. "Fine." > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- School was finally over, at least for today. I sighed in relief, placed my bag up on my back, and exited the school. As I did, I saw Sunset Shimmer standing nearby the school with her friends. Quickly rushing over to her, waving my hands like a maniac, I called ,''Hey Sunset! Since we're partner's, and all-'' ''In a second! I have to talk to my friends, just wait here.'' With that, I was cut off from our ‘conversation’. Here I though that this assignment would bring us closer to each other, but now I felt like I didn’t even matter to her. I stood there for few minutes, waiting for their conversation to end. After a while, it was finally over, and Sunset waved goodbye to her friends. ''Sorry, what were you saying?'' She asked, grabbing a book out of her backpack. ''Oh well, since we're partners,'' I paused and blushed for a moment, '' I though we should hang out, and I should get your number, right?'' Sunset chuckled and brought out her phone. ''Sure. I'll write down your number and you’ll write down mine, okay?” “Yeah, sure!” After writing down our numbers, I placed my phone back in my pocket, as did Sunset. "So, what's that book about?" I asked, pointing at the book in Sunset's arms. "It's, uh, just a book I use with my friend. Nothing special." Sunset raised an eyebrow. "Why do you ask?" "Just curious." I chuckled. "If you’re not busy," Sunset paused, placing the book back in her bag, "you can come by my house later. Like you said, we can hang out! ...since Cheerilee wants that, of course," Sunset blushed. "Oh, y-yeah, yes, of course!" I said, filled with joy. "Alright then, maybe in a hour?" "Sure." "Okay, call me then." Sunset waved her hand to me and went off towards her home. Once she turned away, I jumped in joy. I was so pumped to hang out with her again; she's just so cool and kind. An hour had already passed, and I quickly took a small bag with me. I had my keys, wallet, and phone. I walked to Sunset Shimmer's apartment, and called her on my phone. "Yes...?" A voice picked up. "Hey Sunset! I'm here!" I said. Without even responding back, she opened the door and smiled at me, beckoning for me to enter her apartment. "So, what have you been doing this past hour?" I asked, sitting down on her couch. "Just texting with a friend, not much." Said Sunset. "What about you?" "Just browsed around the internet, nothing special either." "Do you want to drink something? I have some water, or juice?" "Sure, do you have orange juice?" "Yup!" Sunset replied with a grin. "I'll pour some for each of us." Sunset went back to the kitchen, meanwhile I sat there on the couch and looked around. I took notice of the book next to me that Sunset had back at school. I wanted to peek in, since it seemed a bit suspicious. It had that Sun thing on the cover, like the one on Sunset Shimmer's shirt. But what if it was personal? Like a diary, or journal? I decided to ask Sunset instead, until it started vibrating. I almost jumped from the sound of it. "The juice is on the table! I have to go to the bathroom!" Sunset shouted from the kitchen. "Okay, thanks!" I shouted back. I decided to ignore it, instead hoping Sunset would notice it. I walked to the kitchen to take the juice. I heard the bathroom door open, and Sunset walked out of it. She stood next to me and took a glass of juice for herself, and started drinking it. "So, about that book," I said. "Why does it have that mark on it? Like the one on your shirt?" I pointed at the Sun mark that was in the middle of Sunset's shirt. "Why do you care that much about a stupid book?" Sunset shouted, she seemed upset and had a aggressive tone to her voice. "It's just a book I share with my friend!" "Okay, alright, sorry Sunset." I said, with my cheeks deeply turning red. "I-I was just wondering." "Sorry." She whispered. "I didn't mean to yell at you like that." "No, it's alright. It's your privacy, I shouldn't be asking questions about it." "Listen, there's something I must explain to you. It's a long and strange story, and the only people who know it are my friends." Sunset grabbed my hands and looked deeply in my eyes. "Y-Yes...?" "I'm a unicorn from a another dimension." With that, I let Sunset's hands go, mouth agape. "Wait, what? You’ve gotta be joking." Sunset chuckled. “Of course you don’t believe me. Who would?” "I want to believe you, but a magical unicorn from another world? I don't believe that." "Let's just sit down." And we did, I sat down towards Sunset next to the kitchen table. "Okay, here's the story." Sunset took a deep breath. "The statue in our school has a mirror, or portal, that takes you to another world, a world called Equestria. In equestria live ponies, a bit different then the ones in this world. There are four species of ponies, unicorn, earth, Pegasus, and most rare of them all, an alicorn. “I was once a student of Princess Celestia's, a princess of equestria. She raised up the sun, while her younger sister Luna raised the moon. I was a student of her's, who wanted power, and I was selfish and though that I was ready to be a princess, but I was clearly wrong. I went through a mirror and started to live here in the human world. I got used to walking on two legs, and using my hands." “Pfft, you’re kidding, right? There’s no way that’s true!'' I laughed. “If you’re trying to prank me, you’re bad at it.” ''No! This is all real!'' Sunset shouted back. ''I know it sounds crazy, it really does. But please, you gotta believe me!'' ''Fine.'' I sighed. "So, wait! So, you were a bully at this school? Like everyone has told me?" Sunset sighed. "This is where that part comes in. Yes, once I came to this world, I ruled the school. I dated Flash Sentry to become more popular, and everyone feared me. I won the crown for fall formal, every year!" Sunset explained. "Another alicorn from Equestria, by the name Twilight, defeated me with her friends, once I transformed into a demon form-" "Demon form?" "Twilight had a magic crown that I stole, and the crown showed who I really was. After being defeated, I learned many things about friendship, and how important it really is. At first, everybody hated me, except my only five friends. But after saving the school from three other evil girls, many students at CH aren't so mad at me anymore." "Who are these, ‘other evil girls’, you speak of?" "Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and Aria Blaze." Replied Sunset. "They were sirens from Equestria, Twilight came from Equestria to this world to help us defeat them. We defeated them by using some sort of power of music and friendship, I suppose." "Ah, Okay." I grinned in understatement. "About that book," Said Sunset, as she walked to the living room and returned with the book in her arms. "Okay, here's the deal. I use the book to contact with Twilight, the girl who defeated me and also helped me. I use this book to talk to her." "That seems pretty awesome!" "It kind of is." Sunset chuckled. "That's why you never explained why you used the book?" "Yes." Sunset nodded. "By the way, it was vibrating earlier. What does that mean?" "It means that Twilight sent me a message back." "I suppose I should go home now, We'll meet again at school tomorrow." "Yeah, you're right. I actually still have a lot of homework to do too." We both chuckled and hugged. I took my bag and said goodbye to Sunset. As I exited her apartment and began heading home, I couldn’t help but wonder if anything she’d been saying was actually true... > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another day where I was alone, searching for a table to sit. I didn't feel like sitting next to anyone, though. Aside from Sunset Shimmer, I don't really have any friends. I did have someone back at my old school, but ever since I moved to this town, we’ve only been able to chat by phone. I scanned my eyes around the cafeteria, watching every table. Most of the seats were taken, I did come to the cafeteria a bit late, so there’s a big line. I suddenly hear my name being shouted. I turned to my left to see Sunset Shimmer and her friends, waving their arms at me. I raised my eyebrow, wondering why they are calling me over there. I walked past the other tables to the one, where Sunset and her friends were sitting. I sat next to Rainbow Dash, a girl I already knew. She knocked me over in dodgeball once, she was some sort of freak of athletic nature, heh. "Hi, Sunset." I softly smiled at her. "Hey! I remember you! You're the person I knocked over in dodgeball! Sorry about that, by the way. I got carried away," said Rainbow, chuckling between her words. "Once I start, it just takes me over!" "It's alright, I suppose." I said, rolling my eyes. "It did really hurt for a day." "Why were you standing there? Why didn't you just sit somewhere?" Asked a pale orange girl, who was sitting next to Rainbow Dash. She had a accent and a cowboy hat. "By the way, I’m Applejack!" "Well, uh… Nice to meet you, Applejack." I grinned at her. "I don't know. I don't seem to know many people here, I don't really have any friends, well besides Sunset Shimmer." "Wait, you're new here? Because It makes sense that you don't have much friends, because usually I noticed that people who are new to this school don't have any friends, and If you don't have any friends you must be lonely, and that makes me really, really sad-" "Yes! I'm new here!" I interrupted, I couldn't listen to a talkative, cotton-candy haired girl. "I moved to this town last week, I don’t know many people." "Oh right, meet my friends," grinned Sunset as she pointed at Rainbow. "That's Rainbow Dash. I think you already know her. That is Pinkie Pie!" Sunset pointed at Pinkie. "She's very talkative-" "Yeah, I noticed." Next, Sunset pointed at Applejack. "That's Applejack, she's a super loyal friend!" Then, Sunset pointed at Rarity and Fluttershy, who was sitting next to Pinkie Pie. "That's Rarity, she loves fashion. And that's Fluttershy, she is super shy!" "I can tell, by her name." I chuckled. "Nice to meet you all, girls!" I took out my lunch box from my backpack, I started munching on my lettuce sandwich. "Vegetarian?" Asked Fluttershy, pointing at my sandwich. "You don't seem to have any meat in there." "How would you know that I'm a vegetarian, just because I don't have meat in my food?" I raised my brow. "But yes. I am a vegetarian. You shouldn't ask people things like that, just because I don't have meat in some sort of food." She stared at me with her big eyes, she looked embarrassed or ashamed after what I said. "Oh, sorry." I whispered. “Didn't mean to sound rude.” Fluttershy smiled a little at that. "It's alright." After twenty minutes, I glanced at my phone. "Shot! We're going to be late, we should go." I stood up from my seat, taking my backpack with me. "Don't worry, we'll make it to class in time." Sunset grinned at me. "But I agree with you, we should start moving." Sunset and the rest of her friends stood up from their seats, also grabbing their backpacks with them. All of us started moving, and walked to class. I walked into class with Sunset and her friends, and all of us took our seats. After forty minutes of learning math, the school's bell rang. "Alright students, next period is math again, so be back in class in about ten minutes." Said our teacher, she opened the window in the classroom, to let in some fresh air. "It's probably going to be a bit cold in here, I suppose all of you need to exit the classroom now." As I was almost out of the classroom, I noticed Flash standing next to my table. "Uh, dude..?" I said, waving to Flash. He turned to me with a grin. "Oh, hey." "What were you doing there?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at him. "I lost my pen earlier, just making sure a punk like you didn't take it." He said, crossing his arms. "You can never know what people like you'll do." "What's your problem, man?" I shouted. "I have done nothing bad to you, neither have I taken your stupid pen. I have plenty of pens already, why would I need another?" "It's always nice to have another." He smirked. Flash seemed like he was about to say something, but shut his mouth and walked out of class. I stared as he walked out, and sighed. "Hello..?" Said our teacher, staring at me as I stood there, staring back at her. "Why are you still in the classroom?" "Sorry, I.. I was just about to leave." I walked out of the classroom with my heart beating as fast as lighting. "Did you do something?" I turned around to see Rarity standing next to Pinkie Pie. Rarity coughed and asked again. "I said.. did you do something?" "No, not at all. Flash was a real jerk to me earlier. Calling me a ‘punk’ and thinking that I stole his pen, or somethin'." I rolled my eyes. "I’ve also noticed Flash’s strange behavior, dear." Nodded Rarity. "I have no idea what could be bothering him." Rarity leaned closer to me and whispered. "He's lately been stalking Sunset Shimmer." I jumped after hearing that. "Wait, what?!" "Shh!" Pinkie shushed. "I don't think a lot of people have noticed that!" I walked down the hallway after school ended for today. Suddenly, Flash stood right in front of me and stared with a grin. "Hello." I sighed. "What it is, Flash...? Why are you acting like that on me? I have asked this before and I'll ask again. What did I do to you?!" "Listen! You think that, just because you're pretending to be married to Sunset, doesn't mean that you're actually married to her! Sunset is single, and always will be. Don't think that you'll be the first guy to date he-" "Didn't you date her once?" "Okay, Yes I did. And I regretted it. She only used me, and that broke my heart! I have no idea how I even started to date her, she was a awful bully, anyway." "I bet you're just jealous that I'm hanging out with Sunset Shimmer, and you just still secretly have a crush on her!" I smirked. "You're too big of a wimp, to admit it." "Me? A crush on Sunset? Pfft, that demon is nothing but trouble! I used to date her, and not anymore!" Shouted Flash. "Then WHY have you been stalking her?!" My eyes widen. I was so full of rage, I just admitted to Flash that I knew about his stalking. This got his Face, full of rage as well. "How the hell, did you find that out?" Flash shouted in my face. "My friends told me that! They noticed you stalking Sunset! I didn't even notice, myself!" "There's something big coming to you guys." With that, Flash walked away. "What did he mean by that..?" > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" I yawned as I stood up from my bed. I turned my alarm off my phone and stretched my bones. "Another day at school." I whispered to myself with a sigh. "Another day of studying." I walked up to the bathroom, where I took a quick shower and brushed my hair, a bit. I still had an hour time, and school was very close to me, so I had nowhere to hurry. I grabbed a cereal from the kitchen and poured in some cereal with milk, and started crunching on it. "I should really start to eat something else, then just cereal." Even though I still had plenty of time, I grabbed my backpack and walked to school. Once I entered, I ran up to Sunset, who was sitting nearby the cafeteria with her friends again. "Hey, Sunset!" I shouted. Sunset heard her name, and turned her head to me with a grin. "Hey. Come over here!" "As you wish." I said, and walked up to Sunset and her friends. "What's up? Did you finish the homework for math?" "Yup." Sunset winked at me. "It felt a bit hard at the beginning, but once you go on, it became a lot easier! It did take me a while to understand the answers, though." "Yeah. It was a bit difficult for me. I hate math. I literally don't understand anything from it!" "I can understand." Applejack pat me on my back. "It can be a bit tough but ah' know you can do it." "Thanks Applejack." I smiled at her. "He has a cigarette, under his desk!" A kid shouted, pointing behind my desk. "Wait, what?!" I shouted. Once I looked up under my desk, it was true. There really was a cigarette under my desk. This got me scared and surprised, I have never smoked in my life, I have never even wished to do it. "No! No! That's not mine! I swear!" The people around me stared me down with angry looks. "Yeah, right!" Said Flash. "Shut up!" I shouted, standing up from my seat. "Teacher! I promise it is not what it looks like! I have never smoked in my whole life!" "I suppose, this will need some explanation." The teacher raised her eyebrow at me, with her arms crossed. "Sunset, has them too!" Shouted Pinkie Pie, pointing behind Sunset's desk. "N-No! That... that can't be." Said Sunset. She also looked behind her desk to find a used cigarette under it. "Who did this?" Without even a reply, The teacher pulled our wrists to the principal office. "So, what is this "cigarette situation" that the students have been telling us?" Asked the principal. "You do know, that clearly in the school rules, It tells that cigarettes aren't allo-" "Yes. We know." Interrupted Sunset. "And I would never even dream of touching a cigarette." "Me too, to be honest." I grinned. "We all know what cigarettes do to our lungs, why would we make such an awful decision to just suddenly use a cigarette, like that?" I crossed my arms and raised my bow at him. "And besides, why would we just leave it there under our desks? Clearly we're smarter than that. I have good grades and I'm trying to be a nice student, and a cigarette clearly breaks the school rules. And I would not break the rules!" "I agree with Sunset here. Why would we hide the cigarettes behind our desks like that? It's unnecessary and ridiculous." "Yes, It guite is." Said our teacher. "But that still doesn't explain, how that cigarette got there in the first place. " "Me neither." I sighed. "Was there anything suspicious going on? Like a student, or behavior, or someone by your desk? We need evidence to see who is the blame here." "Actually, I did." I replied. "Flash Sentry warned me about something "big coming", and I had no idea what that meant. Maybe this was it? Was this what he meant? He was standing nearby my table yesterday. He said that he's searching or his pen, and thinks that a "punk" like me took it. I have no idea, what's up with him!" "That is suspicious." The principal raised his eyebrow. "Don't we have security camera's at our school?!" Asked Sunset, pointing at a camera in the corner of the office. "Is there one of these everywhere? Even in the classroom?!" "Since when did we have those?" I asked. "Ever since last week. We decided to get them for safety and maybe even situations like this. To see the person behind all of it. And, your right Sunset! We can use these cameras to see who placed the cigarette there." Walking back to the class, our teacher grabbed the security camera and looked at the tape. "There it is!" She grinned, bringing the camera closer to us. All we saw was Flash setting a cigarette under Sunset's desk and then to mine. My eyes widen from surprise, but I did suspect that jerk to do this. "I knew it!" I shouted. "I knew he did something!" "Mystery solved." Sunset grinned. "See? We told you that it wasn't us." "I suppose you're right, Ms. Shimmer. I suppose we were wrong to blame you. We'll talk to Flash Sentry as soon as possible." "Why... why didn't you tell me?" Asked Sunset Shimmer. "Tell... what?" "About Flash. How he warned you and picked on you. Why didn't you tell me about it?" "You’re already dealing with a lot of things. I didn't want you to get stressed over me and Flash, or anything." I smiled. "Sorry, though." "It's fine, I suppose." She smiled at me back. "But we're married, and we need to tell the truth to each other. No matter what." "Fake marriage, right?" "Yes! Yes! Fake. Not real. Pretend." Sunset sighed. "Is everything alright?" "Maybe. Maybe not? Uh, I dunno." She sighed again. "It's just homework. I have such strange grades in History. I'm not used to the history in this world. I'm used to the history in Equestria." "Equestria?" "The pony world I live in." She chuckled. "Oh right. Still strange." "Yeah, I know." "I can help you with the homework, If you would like that." I grinned. "Really?" Sunset jumped. "That would be great!" > Chapter 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So, how did it go?" Asked Applejack, staring with concern at me. "It wasn't your cigarette, wasn't it?" "Nope. Wasn't mine." I smiled at her. "Sunset Shimmer came up with the brilliant idea, that I was surprised that the teacher didn't even think of. We looked at the security tape that filmed our classroom, It was Flash Sentry all along. He hid the cigarette under our desks!" "I knew he was up to no good." Rarity rolled her eyes. "Why would he do such a thing...?" "Flash did say that something "big" was coming to me and Sunset. This was probably what he meant! I had a feeling that he still had a crush on Sunset Shimmer, since he said "don't think that just because your fake married to her, means that your actually together." And when I said that he still likes her, Flash replied that he hates her now." I explained. "But a deep feeling inside me, feels that he still might like her." "Wait! Where is Sunset?" Pinkie asked. "Don't worry, she's in the bathroom." I chuckled. "She's probably going to be done soon." "Pff, Sunset doesn't deserve someone as bad as Flash." Rainbow Dash smirked. "She's way better then that." "I can agree with you there," I blushed. "she really is the best." Rarity smirked at me and leaned closer. "Can we talk in private?" She whispered to my ear with a grin. "I must talk to you, right now." "Uh, sure." I whispered back. Once we waved our goodbyes to our friends, Rarity pulled me by my wrist, and we walked outside and stood by a corner. "I know what's going on here." She smirked again. "And I bet that nobody else has noticed it." "What do you mean, Rarity?" I gulped, and inside I felt like a wet dog. Almost sweating. "I-I don't understand-" "I bet you, DO understand darling!" She interrupted. "Rarity, I seriously don't know what your talking about!" I shouted. "You have a crush on Sunset Shimmer!" She shouted back, while waving her hands like a crazy person. I flinched. I looked around to see if anyone was there, and luckily there wasn't any people around us. "How did you find out?!" "The way you talk about her, how you say that she's "amazing", and, "wonderful". How you stare at her, when she walks by you. The way you get nervous or worried when talking to her. I have noticed it all." Rarity said. "I've fallen in love myself, and I know how it is when you like someone, but don't know how the person you like, feels about you." She sighed. "Yeah, It's tuff." I sighed as well. "I never knew someone would find out..." "Don't worry, dear." Rarity smiled and gently hugged me. "I won't tell anyone about this." "Wait, your serious?" My eyes widen. "You, really, really promise?!" "Yes. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! Pinkie Promise." "Okay. Thanks, Rarity." I blushed and chuckled. "Your very welcome." "Have you heard?" Asked Rainbow. "Heard what?" Asked Sunset, staring confused at her. "About a party this week," Replied Rainbow, showing us a small poster. "It's happening in two day's, and is going to be hosted by Vinyl Scratch!" "Wait, Two day's?" Asked Sunset. "Yeah." Grinned Rainbow. "Awesome, right? I personally, can't wait! The music, dancing, games and so much more! Oh! And the snacks!" "That means we'll have to get ready fast." Said Fluttershy. "And I'm not sure if I should-" "Come on, Fluttershy!" Pinkie smiled at her. "You have to come! It's going to be so fun! And you'll wouldn't be alone anyway, we'll be right by your side!" "Thanks, Pinkie. But I just don't like parties much, but..." She Sighed. "since you want me so badly to come, I suppose I will." "Me, too!" I smiled. "What about you, Sunset?" Sunset nodded at me with a smile. "Yeah, sort of." "Well, I'm excited as well." Said Rarity. "A party in a while, Is always nice." Two day's passed, and the party was here. I picked up my phone and called Rainbow Dash. "Hey, are you ready?" "Yeah, yeah, I am. What about you?" She asked. "Yes, I'm ready too. Is everyone else ready as well?" "Yup! I called them, and they said that they were. We'll meet you at your house in about," She paused for a second. "somewhere around ten minutes. Does that sound alright?" "Yeah, sure." I nodded. "I'll wait for you guys, here." "Okay, see you then." Before I even replied, Rainbow hang up her phone. I sat by the kitchen table for around eleven minutes, until I heard the doorbell ring. "Finally." I smiled. As I opened the door, Rarity, Sunset, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie, and Fluttershy were standing there and were smiling. "Hey! Everyone ready?" All girls cheered and I locked my apartment. "Let's go!" As we arrived at Vinyl's house, we heard a lot of people cheering and loud music. "Sounds like a lot of fun!" I chuckled. "Yeah! It does!" Pinkie bounced. "Come on! Let's go in!" And so we did. We opened the door to see people dancing or standing nearby while talking or drinking some punch. Everyone was smiling with joy. "So, loud..." Whimpered Fluttershy. "Come on, Fluttershy! This is fun!" Smirked Rainbow Dash. Pinkie went ahead and started dancing with the other people. Rainbow and Fluttershy got some punch. "You want some?" Asked Rainbow, while pouring in some punch for herself. "No thanks." I replied. "I would like some cookies, though.." I rushed my self to a plate of cookies, and took three bites, until I noticed Sunset talking to Rarity. "She better not be tffalking, about me having a crusffh on her." I whispered with my mouth full. "Hey girls!" I gulped and rushed in between Rarity and Sunset. "What's up?" "Rarity, was telling me about this awesome design that she came up with." Sunset grinned. "It was inspired by- uh- about a waterfall near our town?" "That's right, dear!" Rarity smiled and nodded. "It's going to be great-" "Hey, girls! There is a "truth or dare" game going on, maybe you'd like to join?" Said Applejack, joining into our conversation. "Sounds mighty' fun!" "I suppose We'll join. Right?" Said Rarity, as she stared at me and Sunset. "Uh, sure." I said. "I personally have no idea what else to do." Sunset just nodded at us, and we went ahead. There were around five other people standing around a circle, with us joining the game. "Alright, Rarity, truth or dare?" Asked Applejack. "I'll go with, dare!" Rarity smirked. "I have always taken truth, but I'll do different this time." "Alrighty' then." Applejack smirked. "Ah' dare you to clean of all your makeup!" Rarity gasped. "I wouldn't! I would look horrible!" "Sorry, Rar', you choose Dare." Applejack crossed her arms, and countinued smirking. "F-Fine." Said Rarity, almost tearing up. Later she came back with her face washed. See didn't have her huge, long, black eyelashes. She didn't have her purple eye shades anymore, and her lips weren't so pink and shiny anymore. "I look simply horrible!" She cried out. "I think, you look alright." I shrugged. "Oh yeah!? Truth or dare?!" Rarity shouted at me. "Uh, Dare, I suppose." "I dare you to kiss Sunset Shimmer!" She shouted. Once she realized what she just said, her eye's widen. "I'm sorry! I regret that dare! I take it, back!" "You screwed up, Rarity." Applejack muttered. "Sorry, no take-backs!" Said Rainbow Dash. "You have to do it." "Wait, what?!" Sunset deeply blushed, with her eye's widen. "I-I can't do that!" "Me, neither!" I shouted and stepped back. "I-I wouldn't!" Everyone around us shouted "Do it! Do it!" Expect Applejack and Rarity. "Like o-on a cheek?" I asked. "Nope. Lips." Rainbow smirked at me. "Come on, Rainbow!" I blushed, and turned to Sunset. "I suppose we must." "O-okay." Said Sunset. "Can we at least do in the closet? Alone?" Rainbow sighed and nodded. "Fine! Make it, quick!" As we wnt inside the closet, I deeply blushed, and so did Sunset. "You know? We don't have to do this now that they don't see us." I whispered. "But, It's a dare. We must do it." Sunset shrugged. "Do you actually, want to kiss?" I asked. "Because It seems like you do." "I've just n-never kissed before," She chuckled. "Seems interesting." "Not even with Flash Sentry?" I chuckle. "You jerk," She laughed and playfully punched me by my shoulder. "No, not at all. Don't you remember? I only dated him for popularity." "Heh, sorry." I laughed along with her. "So, we must do this?" "I suppose," She blushed. "Let's get this over with." I blushed. I slowly leaned in closer to Sunset's face, and she did the same for me. As we leaned in closer, our lips touched each other, and were sealed. Once we kissed, Sunset wrapped her hands around my neck, grabbing me and pulling me closer. I backed off and broke the kiss. "Okay! We're done!" "Sorry! Sorry! Got carried away!" She blushed. "It felt... nice." I didn't reply, I opened the door and we went outside to see everyone who played the game, staring at us. "Well...? Did you do it?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Yes, yes. We did." I blushed and rolled my eyes. The party ended fast for me, because I wanted to leave. I walked out the house. "I-I have to go." "Really? You don't want to stay?" Asked Sunset. "You sure?" "Yes! I'm sure!" I shouted. "I'm... tired. Sorry." "It's fine, I understand." Sunset grinned at me. "I'll tell our friends that you had to go so, bye then." "Bye." I said. I turned around and started to walk some, thinking all the way trough about that one kiss. "She actually liked it! And so did I!" I whispered myself, trying not to shout. > Chapter 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Suddenly while walking down the street, I got a call from Sunset Shimmer. ''Hello...?'' I answered. ''H...Hey! -Hic!- Watcha' up to?'' ''S-Sunset? Is that you? Are you still at the party?'' ''No, It's Rainbow. Of course, it's me you dumbass!'' She shouted. "Yes! I'm still at the party with stupid people!" ''Whoah! Woah! Calm down! What's going on?'' ''You...You need to come back...'' ''Why?'' ''Because, I said so! Come over here, or else!'' With that, the call ended. I stared at my phone for a few second, trying to figure out if this is real. I turned around and started to run back to the Vinyl's house. ''Sunset?'' I called out, as I entered the party. ''She's over there,'' Said Rarity, biting some chips with Applejack. ''Okay, thanks!'' I ran to the place where Rarity pointed at. I saw Sunset slurping down some punch. ''Hey, look! I can dance like Uma Thurman!'' Sunset laughed. ''You've been listening to ''Fallout Boy'' way too much, Sunset.'' Some guy, who was standing next to her said. ''Sunset!'' I shouted, and ran up to her. ''Are you okay? Why did you want me to come?'' ''I missed you,'' Sunset said, gently stroking my hair. ''this party is laaame!'' ''W-What have you been drinking?!'' I grabbed the cup, out of Sunset's hands. ''Is this alcohol?!'' ''No! It's punch!" ''Nope. Definitely beer.'' ''Oh...'' ''Let's just go, home.'' ''Don't t-touch me...I want to stay here, and party!'' Suddenly, Sunset walked forwards and then backwards. Until, she collapsed to the floor. ''Sunset? Sunset!?'' The next morning, I was making something in the kitchen, I heard Sunset 's footsteps coming towards me. She smiled. Clearing her throat, Sunset couldn't help but giggle when the spatula in my hand clattered to the counter. "S-Sunset! I-I woke you up with my singing, didn't I?"I blushed, turning to her. Sunset waved her hand dismissively. "Nah. Your cooking is what woke me up," She said, stepping into the kitchen. She sat down on a chair, by the corner. 'II was awoken by the smell of fresh pancakes being made. And I did hear you, singing a song to yourself.'' ''Sorry, I do like music.'' I chuckled. Sunset stretched and headed over to the fridge, rummaging through it for a carton of juice. "What happened last night? Why am I here?" she asked, her words being muffled by something in her mouth. When she leaned back up to shut the fridge door with her foot, she had coffee creamer in one hand, juice in the other and a yogurt container in her mouth. ''You got drunk at the party last night, you poured in some beer instead of punch last night. Not sure, how you did that.'' I replied, placing the pancakes on two plates. 'II-I don't know either, some guy offered me some punch-'' ''Wait! Some ''guy''? What do you mean by that?'' '''I don't know! He just offered me some, and I accepted it.'' Sunset explained. ''The next thing I remember is being in your bed today, guess I forgot what happened.'' ''You called me, because you though the party was boring.'' I chuckled. ''Never though you would drink alcohol or get drunk, never been big fan of beer myself.'' ''Me neither, guess I drank so much of it, without even noticing it.'' Sunset sighed. ''Why did you bring me here?'' Sunset looked up to me. "Because we are friends, duh," I told her, rolling my eyes. "And plus, I had no idea where your key's are, so I had no idea how to open the door to your house." She smiled at me as the coffee in the machine gurgled into the cup she had placed under it. ''I suppose I need to get ready for school, huh?'' I raised my bow at her and laughed. ''Sunset! It's Saturday!'' ''Oh! Right!'' She smacked herself in the face and laughed. ''What an idiot, I am!'' ''I guess you forgot, after getting your head dizzy in the party.'' ''I suppose, I did.'' She smirked. Later, Sunset Shimmer brushed her hair and cleaned her jacket from last night. She brushed her teeth and smiled in the mirror. ''Do you want any pancakes? I asked with a wide grin. ''Sure!'' Replied Sunset, taking the plate that I offered her. ''These smell nice.'' ''Try it out!'' I said, biting my pancake. ''Mmm! This is delicious! Your pretty good.'' Sunset winked at me and grinned. ''Thank you very much!'' I grinned and swallowed my piece of pancake. ''Glad your enjoying it.'' Sunset pulled out her phone and shrieked. "I have to go! I planned a meeting with Applejack last night." She jumped out of the couch and dressed on her jacket. "Sorry, I have to leave so soon." Sunset sighed. "Nah, It's alright." I shrugged. "I understand." "Thanks." She blushed and squeezed me with a huge hug. She looked up to me with a big grin on her face. "I'm so glad, that I have a friend like you." "Heh, thanks." I blushed. "Your pretty awesome, as well!" She took her bag and left out of my apartment. I sat down on the couch with a big sigh, and turned on the TV. Later that day, I got a message from some unknown phone number on my phone. It said. "Hey! It's me, Sunset! I lost my phone, and I'm using my friend's phone right now. Wanna meet at the park today? It'll be like a date!" I nearly jumped out of my couch. A date?! She's asking me on a date, trough a phone? This felt weird. Really weird. I shrugged and replied back to her. "Sure! See you there, in few minutes." As I walked to the park, I shouted out her name. "Sunset Shimmer!" There was no reply. I decided to go deeper in thr park, until I noticed Flash Sentry, walking towards me. "Oh dear, what now...?" I groaned. "Surprise!" "Wait, what?!" I shouted, as some sort of pink paint got splashed all over the top of my body, including my head, and shoulders. "What's going on?!" I kept shouting. Then I felt some leaves being dropped on me. Until, a big Snap! Was heard! I knew what was going on, but wished it wasn't true. I whipped off the paint from my face, and Flash wasn't there anymore. I ran back home from the park, and rushed into my apartment, slamming the door shut. I took a long shower and placed my clothes into the washing machine. "Who... who did this? Was it Flash again? What does he need?!" I shouted, trying to calm myself down from all the rage I had inside of me. "Why is this happening to me...?" Monday morning at school, I walked down the hallways of the school, slamming my foot on every step. "Sunset!" I shouted, seeing her talk to her friends in the cafeteria, like usual. "What was that message about?!" I asked, showing her the message on my phone. "I.. I didn't send that." She replied. "I never lost my phone. I never borrowed a phone from my friend. And I never asked you out!" "Then- Then who write this?" "And what do you think?" Applejack raised her brow. "Flash!" "Why would you blame him for everything?" Asked Pinkie Pie. "Sure, he's a jerk to you and Sunset Shimmer! But he can't be the fault, aaall the time!" Pinkie chuckled. "When I went to the park, he was right there! He shouted "surprise" and suddenly, someone splashed some pink paint on me and some leafs. Then I heard a loud Snap!" I explained. "Wait, a minute. What, are you wearing?" "I'm a clown, DUH!" She chuckled. "Nevermind that. From the sound of it, It could be Flash." Said Sunset. "I can believe you, there. How did he even get your number?" "I gave it to him." Said Fluttershy. "He asked for it, and I just couldn't stop myself from helping out. I'm sorry." She blushed. "Don't worry, Fluttershy." Grinned Sunset. The bell rang and we all went to class. "Miss Pinkie," Said Cheerilee. "I know your a clown, but do you have to come in my classroom dressed as, THAT?" "Sorry Cheerilee, it's just my job!" Pinkie laughed. Cheerilee groaned and rolled her eyes. "Alright students, how is everyone doing with their partner?" I looked at Sunset and grinned at her, and she grinned back at me. I looked around class to see everyone else's reactions. Pikie Pie was smiling, meanwhile Rainbow rolled her eyes. Rarity and Fluttershy seemed happy, so was Applejack and Lee with they're pretend child. Lyra however, wasn't as happy having to pretend as a child to Applejack and Lee. Some other students were happy, but Sweetie Drops hated being with Sonata, I knew that Sweetie drops would have loved to be with Lyra instead of Sonata. "Me and Sunset are doing great!" I grinned. "That's fantastic!" Cheerilee grinned back at me. "What about you, Applejack? And, Lee?" "We've been fine." Shrugged Lee. Applejack nodded to that. "So, How was the experience? Was it hard to be in a relationship?" Cheerilee asked. "It was pretty hard," Said Sweetie Drops. "Especially, if you are in a relationship with someone, you don't even care about." "This task is now over, that means that now none of you are married anymore! You can all be free!" Every student cheered. "And now we'll have time to study for the math test!" And after that, students around the class groaned and sighed. "I suppose everything is back to normal," I sighed. "It was fun. To be completely honest.." "I guess it was fun!" Sunset whispered and giggled. After class, I ran to Sunset. "Sunset! I have to ask something! It's really important! It took me forever to even think hoe to ask you this! It's alright if you don't want to, anyway!" She raised her brow at me. "Okay..." "Would you.. uh.. This is hard to ask. Would you.. go on a date with me?" > Chapter 7 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset's eye's widen. There was a long silence between us. I coughed and blushed. "So..." Sunset continued to stare at me. "So..." She replied, turning her head away. "About that question." I said. "Yes! I know!" Sunset sighed. "I... I have to think about this." "Sure! Of course! Take your time!" "How long have you felt like this...?" There was another small silence between us. "For a while now. Why do you ask?" "Be-because I... I..." Sunset stammered, her cheeks turning slightly rosy. "BecauseI'minlovewithyoutoo!" she finally blurted, her blush deepening. I blinked... Then smiled teasingly. "What was that, sunset?" "You heard me," Sunset answered in a huff, her face becoming even redder. I chuckled. "I suppose I did." However, her expression soon turned more serious. "But... Why didn't you tell me? I mean, you know why I didn't tell you about my feelings, but why didn't you say anything?" "I just didn't feel comfortable doing so," Sunset Sighed. "It just feels so... Good. Ever since you kissed me at that party, it felt like ... You were meant to be." "I'm... I'm going to do my homework now." I groaned. "This is ridiculous." "What's ridiculous?" Sunset asked, leaning over to me. "Is that our math homework?" "Yeah, it is." I sighed. "I'm really, really bad at it, though." "That's alright. I did this hours ago, It wasn't as hard as I expected. I'm really good at math, to be honest." She grinned. "I can help you out! At least I won’t be bored there. But now let’s get this done,”" she coughed, “Okay so here we have a simple equation. We get number 18x and we-” " Sunset began to explain. Meanwhile, I couldn’t even listen; just looking at her, paying attention to every detail of her. I just let it look too obvious: Sunset had been my crush since we met. When I realized that this feeling in my heart of being more happy when I was around Sunset— liking to hear her voice, being amazed to see how she was so… shimmering... — was normal and I discovered that I was in love. I found that so funny; knowing Sunny for so long and only realizing she was so beautiful now. How could a person think she wasn’t amazing? In all ways. Her voice, her eyes, her style, her body, everything. “"Now, the result.”" Finally I shook her head, hearing Sunset's voice. "“What?”" I scratched my head. I wasn’t really hearing Sunset before… I wanted to faceplant into the table right now. Sunset rolled her eyes, “"The result. What’s it? I literally explained everything and I’m helping you, so…?”" I played with my fingers looking down, but then I grinned at Sunset. “"Eh… hehe… 42?”" The girl face palmed and looked at me with a mad face, “"Really? It’s 45. Almost got it actually. But weren’t you listening?”" “"Are you mad at me?”" I asked innocently. Sunset grimaced at me, “"No. Yeah yeah okay… more or less. But that’s not the point. The point is… why have you been like that lately? This is annoying. Every time you just stop and stare at me like a lovestruck twelve year old!”" Wow, I’m so obvious! I shrugged. “"What’s up with you?”" "I-I don't know." I chuckled and shrugged. “"Okay, let’s get this over with.”" As soon as Sunset said that they went back to the paper, and I was paying attention to her. Occasionally admiring her. I could see in Sunset's eyes that, She could see it, but she didn’t care. Maybe it was just a little passion. A phase. It was complicated to understand. Was it really true? Hopefully things won't be awkward, now that Sunset knows my feelings towards me. And She had feelings for me too. But how is this all going to work? Hopefully, we'll find a way. We both walked to her house to have a small, sleepover. We watched an interesting movie, until Sunset began to yawn. "You tired?" I chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose," She grinned. "Maybe we should go to sleep? School's kind of early tomorrow." "Your right," I stood up. "We should." Later that night, I opened my eyes as I heard footsteps coming closer. "Sunset...?" I whispered, as I raised my head from the couch. "Is that you...?" "Yes." Sunset shuffled in place and poked her index fingers together, "I had a nightmare... And well...I Thought you could comfort me for a bit. Till I fell asleep?" I simply nodded slightly, letting Sunset snuggle best to me. I placed my arm around Sunset's shoulder. This convinced Sunset it was alright for her to snuggle up against me. While Sunset calmed down, closed her eyes, and simply rested on my shoulder. I couldn't help but comply as I instead sat there with Sunset in my lap still. The girl snuggling me like she was a real life teddy bear. I didn't know why she did it, but I leaned down and kissed Sunset's forehead and leaned back on the couch. I started to close my eyes. A smile formed on my lips as I let the warm embrace help me fall asleep. "Have you seen this picture?" Asked Applejack, shoving a picture in front of my face. "A lot of people are talking about it." "Wait... What?!" I shouted in surprise, as I saw the picture of me in pink paint and a scared look on my face. "This is what happened at the park, that one day! Flash splashed paint on me and took a picture! I knew it! "Is everyone talking about this?" Sunset raised her brow. I could hear concern in her soft voice. "I hope nobody laughs about it, it's not even funny." Sadly, Sunset was wrong. Whenever I walked trough the hall, people would point and guietly chuckle at me. I sighed. "This is simply horrifying. Hopefully, this is over soon." "About last night," Sunset started, as she got later interrupted by Rarity. "What, last night?" Rarity raised her brow at us. "Was there something... speacial? May I talk with you please?" I couldn't just simply say no to her, so I shrugged and grinned. "Sure." Rarity pulled me in closer, our faces were chose to each other and nobody else could hear us. "What happened last night?" Asked Rarity, as she demanded the answer. "Sunset helped me with my homework, I confessed my feelings and she did the same, I stayed at her house and slept on my lap-" "Wait, wait, wait! Confessed your feelings? And she had feelings for you? How didn't I notice this?" "She wasn't really showing it," I laughed. "I did ask her on a date, but she still hasn't said the answer to me." "You should give it time, darling. Give it time." After school, Sunset and I met up, closely to my house. "Sunset, I have a very important question." I started, taking a deep breath. “I was wondering if…”.." I swallowed nervously. “Sunset, "I was wondering if… you wanted to be my special someone? Like a girl... friend?”" I closed her eyes, cringing. There was no going back now. For better or worse, I had said those words, and now our relationship would forever be changed. Sunset was silent for a good minute. She turned the statue over in her hands, careful not to break it. “"I..I don’t know what to say…”." My face fell, and Sunset hastened to comfort me. “"N-no, I mean…I’m not saying no, I’m just…I’m a bit overwhelmed.”" She looked to the side shyly. “"Nopony has ever shown an interest in me in that way before. I’ve always assumed it was because I was unattractive.”" I tentatively reached out and cupped Sunset's face softly, turning it to look at her. “"You’re not unattractive to me.”" "“I’d be willing to try for you. You mean a lot to me too.”" “"So, um... …is this the part where we kiss?”" I squeaked out. Sunset smirked. “"Do you want me to kiss you?”" “…"Uh... yesss?" I deeply blushed. So she did. It was a brief kiss, soft and gentle- This was very different than the one at the party. This was something much more special, and she wasn't going to screw it up. Reluctantly, she pulled away from my lips, gazing into my wide eyes. “"You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to-mmph!”" She was surprised as I cut off her boasting with a second kiss. Then I finally ended it. "Do our friends know?" "Only Rarity. I suppose we'll have to announce this to them?" "I suppose so." Sunset chuckled. > Chapter 8 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset Shimmer came out of my house. She walked to a small river and lied down in the grass, as she looked in the water, she saw her reflection and remembered the awful memories. I decided to walk outside and see what's up. Sunset stared at her reflection, while looking at the fireflies who flew around her at night. It was so dark and late, It became windy and cold. Sunset looked up into the stars and looked back at the fireflies. Sunset grinned "All of you look so... Beautiful." She then continued to stare at them. Sunset started sobbing, tears ran down her eyes and cheeks and fell into the water, Sunset couldn't hold it in and cried harder by every second. I rushed over to her. "Sunset...?" I whispered, holding my hand onto her shoulder. Sunset suddenly gasped, she was startled by my sudden appearance. "Oh," Sunset wiped her face with her arm. "I wish you wouldn't have to see m-me like this..." Sunset continued sobbing. "What's the matter?" I asked and sat down next to the her. "It's nothing, forget about it." Said Sunset, as she faked a smile. "Sunset, I know there's something wrong." I sighed. "You can't be just crying for no reason," "I appreciate that you want to help." Said Sunset. "But, I don't want to waste you're time on this." "Whenever I'm with you, I have the best time..." I whispered to myself. "What did you say? You do need to be louder than that." Said Sunset, continuing to wipe off her tears. "Oh, Nothing." Said Sunset. "Never mind that. Tell me what's the matter. "Pfft- Fine! Fine! I'll tell you, since you can't leave me alone for one minute? You really can't, don't you?" Sunset shouted. "Sunset.. Please don't be mad! I'm just trying to help you." "I..I" Sunset whimpered. "I..I'm sorry.." Tears began to continue running down her eyes. "Sunset? Are you alright-" "No! I'm not!" Sunset shouted. I didn't say a word, but stared at her concerned. "I'm.. I'm sorry, I didn't meant to yell at you like that. Usually when I'm mad or just stressed out I feel like blaming everyone else, even though I'm the one at fault..." She sighed. "I'm really sorry..." "It's Alright." I said and grinned at her. "Ever since I was a student of Princess Celestia, I wanted to be just like her. Powerful and someone that everyone would obey. I was so selfish and rude and cheated to get what I want. Only then did I realize that I really don't deserve to be a princess." Sunset looked at her arms. "I went to this world after and now I go to CHS, where everybody feared me but then hated me, but now everybody has accepted me and forgiven me, but yet... I still feel terrible after everything I did. Everything I caused. I can't forgive myself! I want everybody to appreciate me! I don't want to be left out... " "Sunset..." I said. "Why do you care about how other people think of you?" "Don't you ever want everybody to like you?" "Well... Yeah, probably." I shrugged. "But There are many people that really like you, Sunset. For example, Twilight and I Like you, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie like you! Rainbow Dash and Applejack are your friends, and many, many More!" "Yeah, you probably are right." said Sunset, as she smiled at herself when she saw her reflection on the water. "And so what If some don't want to forgive you, there will be a lot more that have forgiven you and will support you," "Really?" "Yes!" I laughed. "And I personally think, You're very beautiful and smart, and sweet and-" "You really think so?" She asked. "Yes! Why else do you think why I lov- Really like you? A lot of us like you, Sunset. And you shouldn't be so mad at yourself and you need to learn to appreciate and forgive yourself." "Thank you." Said Sunset, she came closer to me and kissed me on the lips, while wrapping her arms around me. ~Few months later~ It was finally Christmas, my favorite time of the year, and my first Christmas ever with Sunset Shimmer and her friends. But before Christmas, I decided to take a small walk with Sunset Shimmer, because apparently Sunset got a note from Rarity, that we have to meet them at the park. "The street's are quiet, aren't they?" I chuckled. "Yeah. They really are." Sunset grinned at me. "So we need to meet up at the park, right? And sit down on a bench? Why would they want that?" "I don't know. They just wrote that to me." Sunset shrugged. "Well, let's go then." I grinned back at Sunset and we continued our walk. Finally reaching the park, we both sat down at the benches at the start of the park, just where our friends asked us to do. "What's That strange Plant above our heads?" Asked Sunset, pointing at the plant above our heads. My eye's widen and I chuckled a bit. "Well, you see...It's Just that...When You’re caught under it with someone, you’re...supposed To kiss them.”" I murmured, blushing hard. “"Oh?...Oh.”" Sunset finally understood. “"So..Me and you, are supposed to, oh.”" She twirled a strand of hair and looked down sheepishly. "Well, I suppose it isn't anything horrible since we're sort of an couple-"” My lips cut her off as the younger girl pulled me close. My eyes widened in surprise. Though after a moment I melted into the kiss, the shock wearing off. I deepened the kiss, licking at Sunset's lips before breaking away to catch a breath. Our foreheads touched and Sunset smiled as our breaths intermingled, steaming up around them. “You know,” She said, pulling me in for another kiss, “"I think this might be my favorite Christmas tradition.”" I giggled, leaning in as well. “"Me too. And you know...We Have kissed plenty of times before, but this felt a bit more special then usual."
