> Let the Rainbow Remind You > by Lunar Symphony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Princess Twilight Sparkle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happiness. That feeling was coursing through Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. Once again with, the help of her friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity, they managed to defeat Tirek. And she had a new, awesome castle. Every pony came to celebrate, of course. Twilight was standing at the back of the crowd, taking in everything. Her friends mysteriously disappeared, and she couldn’t help but glance at her new home, since her library was destroyed. But the library...It was her old home. Lots of memories had all happened there, and everything...was lost, all burned and crumbling to dust. What can she do about it? Nothing. The sudden cheering of ponies brought Twilight to her senses. A glimmering rainbow had coursed through her new home, winding through the streets of Ponyville-The sight was just beautiful and amazing. Suddenly a cyan hoof shot out and grabbed Twilight into the air-A certain cyan mare with a rainbow colored mane. Rainbow Dash grinned at Twilight. “Come on! What are you waiting for? Every pony is waiting! For you! And, it's a surprise!” Twilight forced a smile. “Alright.” She said as they flew across the crowd, making them cheer louder. “So, h-how was the castle?” “Hey, it won't be a surprise if I tell you. It's amazing. And huge! And...” Rainbow began rattling off thousands of adjectives. Twilight rolled her eyes. Some friends never change. “We're here!” said Rainbow, smiling. “Come in, it's your castle!” Twilight trotted in and gawped at the glimmering, polished walls. “Beautiful,” she whispered. “It's amazing...I never imagined it can be this…“ “Loss of words,” said Rainbow, smirking. As Rainbow led her towards toward the main halls, Pinkie Pie jumped out. “HALLOO!” she said loudly, making Twilight jump in the air in surprise. “Didn'tyouseeamaporyourroomanddidyouseethelibrary?” Asked Pinkie. “N-N-No?” Twilight stuttered. The run-on sentence made her dizzy. “Not yet...Did you just say, library?” “Yes I did!” said Pinkie happily. Rainbow tapped her hoof in annoyance. “Come on! Twilight needs to go to the main hall and eat-“, she stopped herself and blushed. “I wasn't supposed to say that...” “Then let's go to the main hall,” said Twilight cheerfully. Whatever is inside, she will be ready to be surprised. Rainbow and Pinkie led her to a circular room. As she stepped into the room, she looked back...But Pinkie and Rainbow had disappeared. ‘Huh’ she thought. ‘Where did they go?’ Suddenly, a party cannon shot out in front of her. “SURPRISE!” Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack yelled in unison, and hugged Twilight. Twilight hugged them back and grinned. “Thanks girls. You planned this while I was...” Twilight stopped herself. She didn't mean to tell them she was alone at the back of the crowd, avoiding attention and remembering her old home. “Walking around?” piped up Rainbow. “Yeah. Walking around” She glanced at the hall. “How many rooms are there?” asked Twilight, avoiding the subject. Besides, she was curious. “We never counted,” said Rarity, “But this castle is gorgeous! The jewels, the structure...” Rarity sighed dreamily. The hall was brightly decorated, with streamers hanging over it and, of course, balloons. The walls are purple-pink colored, and the words WELCOME were written on a streamer. Tables were neatly arranged all over the hall, with punch and loads of food on them. “We even threw you a welcome-to-the new-castle party!” shouted Pinkie. Twilight smiled. “So should we welcome the other ponies?” “Not until we had eaten our cake privately, of course,” smirked Dash. “The cake's here!” announced Pinkie. The cake was shaped like Twilight's castle, highly decorated with purple frosting. Her favorite color. “We made it together,” said Applejack. “And we even placed ours and your favorite food inside!” added Fluttershy. “Apples, blueberries...You name it!” grinned Applejack. Rarity flipped her mane. “I'll serve.” Using her magic, she sliced a few pieces and handed them around. “What about the other ponies? Do they get a cake too?” Twilight asked nervously. “Oh Twi, you really should stop worrying so much.” Rainbow said. “'Cause Pinkie here has a whole lot of cakes!” Twilight's jaw dropped. “That's about fifty cakes she's carrying! How did she bake, and much less, carry, all of them!?” Rainbow shrugged. “Pinkie's like that. You can never predict her,” Pinkie winked. Suddenly the doors burst open, and a golden glow shimmered from it. “Oh well, my student...Or should I say Princess Twilight Sparkle? May I have some cake?” A hoof stepped into the hall, followed by a faint dark-blue glow, and a pink light. “Princess Celestia!” cried Twilight. The Princess nuzzled Twilight. “Hello, my faithful student, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Shall we say hello your brother, Princess Luna and Princess Cadence?” Luna, Cadence and Shining Armour stepped in. “BBBFF!” Twilight hugged Shining Armour happily. “How's my Twilight?” “Doing well,” said Twilight. Cadence smiled at her. “We knew you'd prevail, for we had faith in you.” She shuddered. “Without my powers and trapped in Tartarus was… horrifying.” “It was terrible,” chimed in Princess Luna. “Luckily Tirek was sent back there...Or else we would have been stuck. For all of eternity.” “Now can we have some cake?” cut in Princess Celestia, smirking with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. “Sister!” scolded Luna, and they all burst out laughing. “So how was the castle? Do you enjoy your new home?” Celestia asked kindly. “It was...”Twilight hesitated. “Cool?” Celestia winked. “You'll get used to your new home, I promise,” she said. “So I leave the thoughts of my old home?” asked Twilight, tears in her eyes. Celestia laughed. “No, faithful student. I'm not saying we should let go of the past. We all have to lose some to win some. No pain, no gain. And,” Celestia continued, “Although you lost the home you loved, we will always, always be there to share your sadness until it passes. Okay?” “Okay,” Twilight replied, and Celestia trotted away to Luna's side. Twilight felt better, but she also felt a little doubtful...Celestia's kind words echoed in her mind: Although you lost the home you loved, we will always, always be there to share your sadness until it passes. Maybe a talk with Fluttershy will be the answer to her problems. It doesn't mean she doesn't trust Celestia, it's just that doubt, sadness and excitement don’t match up...
