Doppelgänger
Gliding ever so gently through the calm breeze, Rainbow Dash whistled a merry tune. All the other denizens of Ponyville saw to their daily routines; Granny Smith collected her weekly groceries; Lyra played away on her harp; Rainbow Dash beat up a filly. 'Wait, What?
On the distance, Dash noticed the doppelgänger, its mane flowing the exact same rainbow colours, and its coat a lovely cyan. It was a lookalike, and a very good one at that.
For a moment, Rainbow second checked herself, making sure that she wasn't somepony else. Fortunately she was the real deal and began towards the replica.
Rainbow leapt to the rescue, zoomed in at full speed, and struck the duplicate. It fell back off of the filly, stumbling to the ground. It regained its ground and quickly held her hoof to Dash's neck.
"Who the heck are you?" It spoke in Rainbow's husky tone. Both mares stared at each other, playing the longest game of spot the difference ever. "Why are you dressed up like me?"
"Dressed up like you?" Rainbow gave a sarcastic laugh, then proceeded closer to the copy. "I'm the real Rainbow Dash, no pony can be anywhere near as awesome as me."
"Rainbow Dash?" The mare whinnied after saying the name. "Get the name right, its Rainbow Smash, copycat." Her eyes turned back to the filly, giving an intimidating glare. In a second the filly had galloped off off. "And nopony messes with me."
"No its Dash, and I'm the most awesomest weather pony to ever come from Cloudsdale." Rainbow pointed to her cutie mark, as if it was a badge of honour. "You can't fake this."
Glaring at the cutie mark, Smash turned, revealing hers. A rainbow cloud with a gold lightning strike beckoned for someone to circle the difference on the mares. "Well 'Dash', you would've gotten away with it if the mark was right. But seriously how'd you get it to look that realistic."
Dash simply glared back at Smash. "Mine's real, so you tell me?"
"You're really getting on my nerves filly. I'll have you know I'm the pegasus champ of the PWE." Smash pulled a belt from thin air, displaying her engraved name and the words Pony Wrestling Entertainment Champion. " You really don't want to tick me off."
"Well I'm the element of loyalty, and Princess Twilight Sparkles best and most awesome friend." Dash revealed a picture of Twilight and Dash flying together. "So I trump you."
Dash broke out into laughter, but Smash's face only grew angrier. Before Dash could react, Smash had punched her duplicate in the face, causing dash to stagger back in pain.
"Oh you're asking for it sister." Dash lunged out head first at Smash, but she soon found herself in a choker grip. Smash pulled on Dash's wings while forcing her down with her back right hoof.
"TAP OUT! OR ELSE..." Smash pushed her hoof in deeper, causing Dash to oddly squeal. "Was that a surrender weakling."
"Never!" Dash summoned all her strength and pushed herself up from beneath Smash's hoof, fighting both the strength of the mare and gravity. Once dash was high enough she pushed hard and threw Smash from off of her. "My turn!"
Dash flew high into the sky and prepared for her best attack. She soon lined herself and began her rapid descent, speeding as she fell. A burst of rainbow colour began surrounding Dash on her approach.
"What the-" But Smash blacked out before she finished. Her last sight was a rainbow explosion that locked onto her.
Dash stood over her doppelgänger, proudly mocking the duplicate.
"So Rainbow Smash you have to meet my friend Dash, she loo-" Twilight had appeared from around the corner, floating two ice creams in the air. "Erm, Smash or Dash?"
Rainbow Dash revealed her flank to Twilight, her face returning a confused glance. "Who's this Twilight?"
"Oh jeez." Twilight chuckle at the sight before her. "I don't believe this. Dash, Smash is a PWE champion, why were you beating her up."
"She beat up a little filly, what else was I gonna do." As Dash spoke, Smash seemed to revive behind her.
"No!" Smash objected, her expression justifying her innocents. "That was one of my fans, I do that with them. Give them a little bit of the show at home."
"Smash are you OK?" Twilight moved over comforting the PWE wrestler. "What did Rainbow do to you? You look a mess."
Rainbow Dash spoke up first. "Ah well, I might've kinda sorta attacked Smash with something almost like my sonic rainboom."
Twilight shot a scolding glare at Rainbow Dash. "What were you thinking? That could kill a pony, you're lucky Smash is a professional wrestler else she might not have been able to take."
"No Twilight it's fine, it was kinda confusing." Smash said, intervening the disaster. "I might've put her in a choker hold, so we're both at fault."
Smash stepped up to Dash and held out her hoof. "Look I'm sorry, let's just start again. The name's Rainbow Smash."
"Rainbow Dash, I guess I'm sorry." Dash still felt uncomfortable with the whole matter. "Can we have name tags or something, after all I am one of a kind."
Scootaloo rolled by calling out to her favorite mare.."Rainbow Da- OMG there's two of you! My dreams are finally coming true."
