Live Fast, Die Snow
A Blitz McCool Story

by Rainbow Dash

High up in the clouds was a weather factory. Not just any weather factory. It was a secret weather factory, and it was controlled by the shadowy and mysterious evil organization known only as the Black Hoof. The Black Hoof's plans were simple: demand a ransom of millions of bits, or Equestria would be covered in winter forever!

But one mare had tracked the secret location of the factory. One mare, and her awesome sidekick partner. And they were going to take the Black Hoof down.

...Take them down to the max.

Blitz McCool narrowed her eyes as she observed the secret high-tech weather facility from behind the cover of a cirrus cloud. There were heaps of guards on patrol, and every member of the Black Hoof was trained in deadly hoof-to-hoof combat. But she had a secret weapon on her side.

Her partner Tank.

Tank was a tortoise. But not just any tortoise. He had been injured by Black Hoof assassins and had a new body built out of super-advanced secret agent technology. He could fly, and also do lasers and ninja gas and all sorts of cool stuff. He had been assigned as Special Agent Blitz McCool's partner, and he wanted revenge against the Black Hoof as much as she did except she wanted it a little more because they assassinated her whole family together they were going to take out their revenge on the Black Hoof.

...Take their revenge to the max.

"We're gonna have to go in quietly," Blitz said with a cool smirk. "Follow my lead."

Tank didn't say anything, because he was a tortoise and they can't talk. But if he could talk, he probably would have said something cool like, "Let's do this thing."

They put on their sweet spy sunglasses and crept towards the secret weather factory. There were two guards coming and Blitz used a throwing star to hit one and have it bounce off and hit the other one. Pow pow! They were history.

Then another guard fell out of the sky behind Blitz, who thought she was being attacked and did a cool martial arts pose, but it was actually Tank who had gotten the guard first. Tank could be really sneaky. Like, super-quiet. Sometimes Blitz didn't know where he was, because they shared an office together when they weren't doing field work, and sometimes Tank would disappear and she couldn't even hear his robot-tortoise body making noise. And she had pretty good hearing.

Anyway, Tank had done this awesome ninja move and taken out the guard that had been about to get Blitz McCool from behind. She looked at him with a look that said, "Thanks, buddy," and he looked back at her with a look that said, "No problem, partner," and then they hoofbumped clawbumped hoof-and-clawbumped hoofbumped.

They were now inside the factory perimeter. There was a laser security field that would sound an alarm if something broke the lasers, and the alarm would bring all the guards to that one spot, and then their cover would be blown. They would have to handle this carefully...

Blitz did a bunch of awesome twists and dips and flips and stuff and got through the laser field and turned it off. Tank used his robot-lasers to counter the Black hoof's security lasers and shut them down with a bwww without setting off the alarm. Tank was a radical secret agent. His robot body to could all sorts of cool things. It was almost like he had unicorn magic, except it was way more awesome because it was made of secret spy science.

They walked down the laser corridor which was now empty of lasers. At the end was a big door that was the entry to the core of the weather factory. Blitz and Tank nodded silently to each other, and then they snuck inside.

Inside the secret weather factory was a couple of Black Hoof scientists or technicians or something. They took one look at Blitz and Tank and cowered. Tank used sleeping gas on them. They weren't part of the Black Hoof's elite fighting force. Blitz and Tank were secret agents, but they didn't just go around randomly killing ponies who happened to be on the wrong side. That's not cool.

The weather factory had a bunch of big tubes and dials and transistors and junk that Blitz wasn't totally sure what they all did because the weather team never really let her mess around with all that stuff before she got put on cloudbusting duty and then became captain of the Wonderbolts and then was recruited to be a secret agent, but she didn't have to know exactly how it all worked, because she was here to make it stop working. She and Tank were gonna bust up this weather factory.

...Bust it up to the max.

Crash boom! That was a big conveyor belt that Blitz elbow-dropped in half. Creeeaaak-pow! Tank used his robot tortoise strength to push over one of the big vats and it smashed and snow went everywhere. Crackle crackle thunder! Blitz broke all of the jars of lightning and turned away from the lightning storm that happened like she didn't even care because she wasn't at all frightened of lightning and thunder, not even a little bit when it exploded right outside her window in the middle of the night.

"Looks like this winter wrap-up..." Blitz said, taking off her sunglasses.

"...Just came early."

The weather factory was destroyed. Blitz and Tank rigged the place to blow up in five minutes, then they flew out of there. The secret weather factory exploded in an explosion of snow and fire, and all of the Black Hoof knew not to mess with the two best secret agents in Equestria.

Suddenly, there was a shot! Tank fell to the ground! He'd been hit!

Blitz rushed over to him. "Tank, buddy, you gotta hold on!"

Tank said Tank still couldn't speak, but if he could he would have said something like, "Not this time... I think... this is the end... for me..."

"Nooo!" Blitz shouted. Then she heard evil laughter. There was a pony with a mask, all dressed in black. The mysterious leader of the Black Hoof! They had been so close to the truth, and now Tank had been shot with an anti-technology bullet! Blitz was going to get her revenge. For her family, and now, for her partner.

...Get her revenge to the max.

She chased the pony in the black mask, but he made it to the helipad first and got on board his black helicopter before she could catch up with him. It was super-fast, somehow even faster than Blitz, because it was using stolen technology that the Black Hoof had stolen.

"I'll get you, Black Hoof," she swore, and a single tear rolled down her cheek. Even though she was a secret agent and totally awesome, she still had feelings.

She put her sunglasses back on. The Black Hoof had crossed the wrong pony.

This time, it was personal.

To be continued...

The secret weather factory is destroyed, but the leader of the Black Hoof is still on the loose! Blitz McCool tracks him down to his secret underground lair, only to reveal the shocking twist: Tank, her partner, is still alive?!

Blitz McCool will return in:
