Oh Dear.....
It was a bright and sunny day on Sweet Apple Acres, and a stallion who is just as red as the apples on the trees, was busy working on this summers apple harvest.
Big Macontosh was a well built fellow and was the towns resident stud. Any mare within five feet of him would go head over heels for him, not that he minded. As he worked on bucking the trees, a pegasus mare fluttered up to the house door and knocked on it.
The mare was as bright as the sun, and she had a long pink main. She looked so frail as she stood there at the door, and she seemed nervous to be there.
Big Mac didn't pay much attention though, as he was busy with his work. The door was answered by a red headed, bright yellow earth pony. The little filly had a large red bow ontop of her head.
"Fluttershy? Wha are ya all doin here?" The small filly had a strong southern accent. Fluttershy looked around nervously before saying in a whisper,
"Applebloom, I was....umm.....I was.....ummmm." Fluttershy struggled to find the words, she blushed a little and squeaked. Applebloom just looked at her curiosly.
"Well what is it?" Applebloom pressed, she was curios to hear wht Fluttershy wanted. Fluttershy started to sweat a little before taking a deep breath and saying,
"IwaswonderingifBigMacwouldliketogooutwithme!" Fluttershy said quickly, she was now blushing as red as the apples now, and she put her two front hooves over her mouth. Applebloom just stared at her.
"Big Mac? Ah heard he was workin in the fields. Why not try askin him there?" Applebloom suggested, she had no idea why Fluttershy wanted to speak with her older brother, she thought it might have been something important, "If ya wan ta talk to him that bad, Ah can go get him fer ya."
Fluttershy shook her head, "Thanks Applebloom, but I think I have to do this alone."
Applebloom just looked at her and shrugged. She watched as Fluttershy went into the fields before closing the door.
Big Mac was still working as haed as ever when Fluttershy got to him.
"Ummm....Big Mac......" Fluttershy said. Big Mac stopped what he was doing and looked at her, "Do you....ummmm....have any plans for tonight?"
Fluttershy blushed a little as Big Mac just stared blankly at her.
"Nope." He said without changing his expression, Fluttershy sighed and continued.
"That's good....I mean ummmm...oh" Fluttershy was blushing again, she hoovered over to Big Mac and whispered in his ear. Whatever she said must have been a shocker because Big Macs jaw hit the ground and his eyes went wide.
"So, I'll see you tonight?" Fluttershy said, but Big Mac was still frozen in fear, "I'll take that as a yes then. See you tonight."
Big Mac watched the pegasus as she flew away, never in his life had he considered dating. He was shocked that that it was Fluttershy who said those things, he wouldn't have expected her to say them at all.

Later that day Applebloom and her friends Scootaloo and Sweetiebelle went to the school house for todays lessons.
Scootaloo, a deep orange pegasus with a purple mane, was riding her trademark scooter. Applebloom and Sweetiebelle, who was a white unicorn filly with a grey and pink striped mane, were hanging on for deer life as Scootaloo zoomed passed pedestrians on the streets. Sweetibelle then decided to strike up a conversation.
"Girls, guess what me and my sister did for Cheeralee." She said with a smile.
"What is it Sweetiebelle?" Scootaloo asked curious as to what she could mean.
"Me and my big sis reserved a table for Cheeralee and Big Mac down at Chef Bezies for tonight." Sweetiebelle answered.
"But ah thought we was going ta stop messin around with other ponies love life." Applebloom said, remembering the fiasco that happened on Hearts and Hooves Day.
"But, you've seen the way Miss Cheeralee acts around your brother. She gets this goofy look on her face and everything." Sweetiebelle said, Applebloom only sighed and decided to let it go.
The scooter came to a stop when the school house came into view. Fillies and colts of all sizez and colors went into the church like building, the bell rang and some of the students started to increase in speed.
"Come on, we're going to be late." Scootaloo said as she raced towards the school.

A few hours later
Miss Cheeralee was busy cleaning up after the children after class when she came upon a scribbled note on a students desk.
"What's this?" She asked herself, curious to see what the note said Cheeralee picked it up with her teeth and brought it over to her desk. She read the note hastily and smiled.
"Well, it seems one of the students decided to try and hook me up with Big Mac again," She giggled, "I guess I could play along, besides it could be fun."
And with that she raced off to her home to get ready for tonights big date.

Fluttershy was at her cottage, she was busy trying to feed some unruly baby birds.
"Oh come now......you need to eat if you want to grow big and strong." Fluttershy pleaded, the baby birds just looked away from her in disgust.
"Please little birdies, you need to eat something." Fluttershy said again, the baby birds still refused to be fed. Fluttershy was on the verge of giving up when a blue colored pegasus with a rainbow colored mane crashed into her. Rainbow Dash has struck again....
"Whoops, sorry there Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash said as her yellow friend got up and brushed herself off. "I was busy practicing for the wonderbolts and I didn't see you there."
"It's okay Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Anyway," Rainbow dash said, "did you ask Big Mac ot yet?"
Fluttershy blushed and nodded. "Oh yes. Though he seemed surprised about it." Fluttershy said, Rainbow Dash grinned and asked.
"So what are you two going to do together? I bet you might have something big planned for later." She giggled as Fluttershy started to blush an even deeper red color.
"Oh...ummmm, I was thinking of going over to that restaurant called Chef Bezies." Fluttershy said.
"Well I hate to be a bother, you two have fun." Rainbow Dash teased, Fluttershy squeaked and blushed even more and Rainbow Dash rolled over laughing.

Miss Cheeralee trotted over to Sweet Apple Acres, Big Mac was still working hard as always. She waved her hoof and said.
"Big Mac, over here." The red stallion stopped what he was doing and looked over to Miss Cheeralee.
"You'd never guess what one of my students gave me today." Now Bib Mac was intrigued and he walked closer to her to listen.
"I have to reservations for Chef Bezies tonight, and I was wondering if you would like to come." Cheeralee said with a smile. Now Big mac is normally a very calm stallion, but right now was not the case.
"Mi...Miss Cheeralee, about tonight...." But he was cut off by her.
"Good I'll see you tonight." She then turned around and walked away, leaving Big Mac with his jaw opened again.
"That's not what I ment." He said but it was already too late.
"Oh Big Mac. Just what have you gotten yourself into." He facehooved. He decided to skip work to try and figure out a game plan.
"I guess I have no choice but to tell them both." He said to himself, "I only hope they take it the right way."

Later that evening
Fluttershy was waiting near the entrence of Chef Bezies, tonight was the night that the stallion of her dreams would be hers. She hummed happily to herself as Miss Cheeralee came trotting by.
"Ah Fluttershy, pleasure seeing you here." Cheeralee said, Fluttershy smiled and said.
"Well it's a pleasure seeing you here Cheeralee. Anyway you wouldn't mind me asking why you are here...if that's okay with you." Fluttershy hid behind her mane.
"Oh not at all Fluttershy," Cheeralee said with a smile, "I'm here for a very important date."
"Really," Fluttershy said, "Me too, I'm just waiting here for Big Mac to show up."
Miss Cheeralee froze, "Come again."
Fluttershy looked confused, "I'm waiting here for Big Mac."
"I thought as much," Cheeralee said with a huff, "I would have you know that I too am waiting for Big Macontosh."
Fluttershy was stunned, "You're dating him too!?!"
Miss Cheeralee grinned, "As a matter of fact I am."
Out in the shadows a red stallion was watching the scene unfold before his eyes.
"But I asked him first." Fluttershy said.
"Well I asked him second." Miss Cheeralee retorted, Big Mac was starting to feel scared now. He didn't want to see the two mares fighting, he sighed and trotted over to them to break up the fighting. Both mares had drawn a crowd of ponies and Big Mac had to push his way through to get to them. Both Fluttershy and Cheeralee noticed Big Mac and zoomed towards him.
"Big Macontosh, just what is the big idea." Cheeralee demanded.
"I though you loved me..." Fluttershy said. Big Mac struggled to find his words.
"Ladies please stop that this instance!" He said rather loudly, both mares shut their mouths and listened to what he had to say.
"Look, I'm flattered that both of you have an interest in me," Big Mac started, "But, I don't remember even agreeing to come on this date."
Both mares exchanged glances.
"But..." Fluttershy said, but Big Mac shushed her.
"Look I'm not ready for a special somepony right now." Big mac said.
"I....." Cheeralee started, and again Big Mac cut off the mare.
"Can't we just be friends, and please stop your bickering." Big mack said, "I would be glad to eat with you, but please no fighting."
He looked at the two mares and they stared back.
"Deal?" Big Mac raised a hoof to shake.
"Deal." Both Cheeralee and Fluttershy said.
"Good, now lets get something to eat." With that the three friends walked into the restaurant to enjoy a meal together.
