Waking to a Flowery Coup!

Once upon a time, Kirby was having a normal day at his home. On normal days, Kirby liked to eat apples, chase butterflies, play with King Dedede and Spear Waddle Dee, and take his regularly scheduled flight on his warp star, where he would soar around Popstar Planet without a care in the world. Sometimes, he even played with Meta Knight, but he was always staring at those rectangles he called books. Whenever Kirby tried to play with one, he got in trouble.
Flashback
As Meta Knight was reading, Kirby decided to pretend the book was a hat.

"Kirby," Meta Knight said. "Stop playing with that. Books are made to be read, not played with."

"Poyo?" was Kirby's only response.

"Kirby, if you don't want to read books, then go ride your warp star or something." Meta Knight said. "I am busy." Kirby was disappointed. He had only wanted to spend time with Meta Knight. However, he suddenly got an idea. He ran off to see if King Dedede and Spear Waddle See wanted to play a game. However, he completely forgot about Meta Knight.
End of flashback

After Kirby inhaled and copied a Noddy, Kirby had his sleeping hat on and suddenly became very tired. Kirby climbed into bed, and fell asleep almost instantly. However, little did Kirby know that as he slept, vines grew over his house, eventually lifting his house into the sky! But Kirby wasn't the only victim of the house-lifting vines. The vines also lifted up King Dedede's castle, and somehow a small chunk of land with Meta Knight and his belongings was also stolen from the ground. Even though the victims were asleep and unaware as morning drew closer, King Dedede's Waddle Dee guards were wide awake and aware the whole time.
Flashback
Before the mysterious vines arose, two Waddle Dee guards were talking to one another.

"Get it now? That's why the King's tricking us. He's offering us protection in exchange for protecting the castle. WE're the protection! He doesn't have a way to protect the protectors, he's too idiotic to figure one out." one said.

"Ooooh, I thought he just meant that it's every Dee for them self, so you need to protect yourself. But, even though your theory makes more sense, I like mine better, so I'll just stick with mine..." replied the other. After they talked for a bit longer, they found themselves standing in complete silence, waiting for their shifts to end.

All of a sudden, they saw something slowly moving out of the ground. It was a tiny green vine that had popped put of the grass a few feet from the castle. It was growing rapidly, getting larger by the second. As it grew taller, it moved closer and closer to the castle. Alerted to this possible threat, the Waddle Dees rushed forward to cut the vine with their spears. However, several more popped out, growing even faster than the original. Two vines disarmed the Waddle Dees, while one larger one grabbed both of them and launched them with force equal to that of a catapult. As the Waddle Dees flew, they caught a glimpse of the castle covered in vines and being lifted along with a chunk of land that held it.
End of Flashback

As Kirby woke up, he groggily got up, yawned, and looked out the window on a chunk of land 2,000 feet above the ground. When he realized something was seriously wrong, he ran outside, only to fall off his chunk of land. Kirby fell, unable to fly because he was caught by surprise. In the process, he lost his sleeping hat and landed on a vine near King Dedede's castle, which also got lifted up, apparently. Kirby knew that the castle's front exterior was designed to show a face depending on the King's mood, and according to the castle, the King was probably about to wack his remaining guards over the head for not cutting the vines, which was the best reason for the King to be angry that Kirby could think of. Kirby decided to go help calm his buddy down.

When Kirby reached the castle, he saw a floating figure with a cape, 2 horns, and 3 floating hands with his back to him. As the figure moved towards King Dedede, all but one of the few Waddle Dee guards that remained used their spears to block him. Suddenly, the figure's hands started glowing, then the whole figure himself started glowing. Then, he jumped into the air and smashed his fists into the ground, launching back the guards that were blocking him. The remaining one backed away and hid behind the King's throne. King Dedede stood up, only to get blasted into his throne and onto the ground by the figure. Victorious, the figure picked up the King using his hand-magic and flew off.

"What in Equestria was that?" a voice said, startling Kirby. He jumped back and looked around searching for the voice's owner. Suddenly, 6 colorful ponies and a colorful scaled creature emerged. Kirby ran towards them and jumped around. Kirby liked them because Kirby liked colors. He especially liked the rainbow one and the pink one, who seemed just as excited as he was, if not more.

"Hi!" Kirby said. the creatures looked startled slightly, probably because they were surprised he understood them.

"Hello, uh, little guy. What's your name?" the purple one, who sounded like the voice from earlier, asked.

"Kirby! Kirby!" the puffball said.

"Well, Kirby, I'm Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends. That's Applejack, that's Pinkie Pie, that's Rainbow Dash, that's Rarity, that's Fluttershy, and this is Spike." the purple one, who was Twilight Sparkle, said as she pointed out who was who when she said their name.

"Poyo." Kirby stated.

"What?" Twilight asked.

"Poyo." Kirby repeated. Before Twilight could react, the wall next to them exploded.

Same Time, Different Dimension

In Equestria, where all was happy, Twilight Sparkle was testing out alicorn magic with her friends watching to see the spells she was capable of casting. Except Spike, because he was making sandwiches and lemonade for everyone. As Twilight casted spells, she eventually let her friends suggest spell ideas, and since she had an almost infinite power supply due to her being an alicorn, she could do a limitless amount of things. For example, she could make it rain ice cream, summon a Daedra, or even open inter-dimensional gateways to places in danger that pull in everyone in the area whether they like it or not and seal up after everyone gets spit out of the portal. Wait? I wasn't supposed to say that yet? Oh... uh... or create sandwiches out of thin air! Hehehehehehe...

After about an hour of letting her friends suggest ideas, they started throwing ideas around without thinking of the consequences.

"Can ya'll make some sort of new-fangled farmin' tool?" Applejack asked.

"No, because if I did make something like that, it would more than likely be dangerous." she said frantically as she started pacing around. "On top of that, nobody would know how to use it, meaning someone could potentially become injured or killed! I don't want someone to get seriously injured or killed! I can't let it happen! They'll hunt me down and send me back to Magic Kindergarten for sure!"

"Okay, calm yourself down. We won't force ya to cast the spell. Any other ideas?" Applejack asked. Basically, situations like that continued happening for the next half hour or so. Then, Spike brought up some sandwiches and lemonade for the group. Suddenly, something extremely important happened. It was tragic! It was terrible! Spike forgot to put mayonnaise on Rarity's sandwich! It was the- oh yay! Problem solved. Hooray for alicorn magic! The group ate their sandwiches in silence for the next 5 minutes.

After they ate, the group made more ideas, but quieter than before, because they were near Spike, who had decided to take a nap.

"You should make a portal to a dimension in need of help so we can go on an awesome adventure!" Rainbow suggested.

"NOOOOOO! It could send monsters to here which'll be my fault and then they'll hunt me down and send me back to Magic Kindergarten!" Twilight yelled, surprising everyone not by the outburst, but by the fact that she didn't wake Spike up.

"Twilight, who do you mean by 'they' when you say that?" Applejack asked.

"The government." Twilight answered, her voice almost a whisper. "They're the number one thing to call 'them'. Number two is the Hive, and I don't mean the Hive ruled by Crota on the Moon, I mean the Hive in Dreamland, and Number three is changelings."

"Could you do a special portal that brings us in and out only? Like a one-way portal?" Dash asked, still not giving up on the adventure idea.

"That could work without any harm, I just need to test it." Twilight said. With a flash of magical light from her horn, a testing area was made for the portal, which was a glass case with a rock to test on inside. However when Twilight made the portal, it was stronger than expected. It pulled the rock in, but also the glass case, and eventually Twilight, Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and even Spike (who was awoken) got sucked into the portal. Pinkie somehow got pushed away from the portal, which closed up before she could do anything. However, when the 5 ponies and Spike reached their destination, Pinkie appeared in a cloud of smoke. Nobody questioned it. It was Pinkie.

As the group looked around, they realized that they were on giant floating vines. These vines wrapped around one another, making a system that could be used to travel around on, if one had the skill to do so. The group saw a castle below them, and decided to use the three ponies with wings to glide down slowly and safely while carrying the ponies and dragon without wings.

When they reached the castle, it seemed mostly unguarded, but they peeked inside and saw some unfriendly-looking guards. They all snuck inside and hid behind a pillar for a while, and within a few minutes, a hovering creature with 6 floating hands followed by a pink puffball who didn't seem to be with him but was following him entered, and you should know the rest.

The Knight in the Brick Pile

View Online

The group walked towards the wreckage of bricks and looked around the area to find out who caused it, or what caused it. After finding nothing, the group assumed that the who or what that caused it was either gone or under the bricks. As the ponies and Spike lifted the heavy bricks up, Kirby stood in place, staring at the brick pile.

"Hey, uh, Kirby? Could you please help us move the bricks?" asked Twilight. Kirby nodded and took a step back. Twilight was about to question him when he opened his mouth, and a vortex of wind came out, sucking up the bricks quicker than all seven of them combined. As the last few bricks got sucked up, a creature about the size of Kirby started getting sucked up too.

"Kirby! Wait! It's me! Remember?" he, who sounded weary, like he just woke up, said. Right as it looked like Kirby was going to eat him, Kirby stopped being a vacuum and closed his mouth, only to open it again to speak.

"Hi!" he said, not aware of the seven wide-eyed stares he was getting.

"Did- did he just eat those?" Rainbow asked. The rest of her friends slowly nodded. After shaking hands with Kirby, the creature turned to face them. He had a metal mask on with 4 diagonal claw-like bumps on the top of it. A little below the center of the mask, an opening that looked like a stretched-out V was covered in black, with 2 glowing yellow dots on it, most likely his eyes. He also wore pauldrons that each had a capital M on them, gloves, special-looking shoes, and a cape. In his right hand he held a special-looking sword. It didn't seem to be infused with magic, but it was a gold sword with a total of 4 spikes protruding from 2 opposite sides of the sword, and it was complete with a ruby in the hilt. Rarity wanted the sword so badly that you could know absolutely nothing about her, be behind her so you couldn't see her face, and still sense her desire for it.

"Greetings. My name is Meta Knight. I got kidnapped by the vines too, so when I woke up, I saw the castle and tried to jump onto it. I didn't complete the jump successfully, and I forgot I had these." he said as his cape transformed into to bat-like wings with a small claw on the front of each wing. "So, I ended up falling, and I smashed into this wall. End of story."

"Ouch." Spike said. "Sucks to be you." said Spike. Meta Knight glared at him.

"Anyway, what did I miss?" Meta Knight asked.

"Well, we watched the floating creature with 3 arms kidnap the King, met Kirby, who we hope won't eat us, looked around for you, and watched Kirby the bricks and almost you." Twilight said. Then, she introduced Meta Knight to the 6 ponies and Spike. Suddenly, a long gasp was heard by everyone in the castle.

"IJUSTREALIZEDTHATIDON'TKNOWYOUANDIALWAYSTHROWPARTIESFORNEWFRIENDSANDWENEEDTOHAVEAPARTYRIGHTNOW!" exclaimed Pinkie, who spoke so fast only her 5 best friends understood her.

"Pinkie, I think the party will have to wait. First, we have to go on an awesome adventure to save that guy!" Rainbow said. Three of the other ponies nodded, while Rarity stared at Meta Knight's sword and Pinkie started bouncing around, not at all sad about having to wait for the party.

"I agree, we should go save King Dedede by climbing up this, Dreamstalk, and I'm pretty sure Kirby agrees too." he said after he followed Kirby, who was already on his way to a new island attached to the Dreamstalk, which seemed to only grow upward from the castle to the lowest of six floating islands, and they were all certain that the villain brought King Dedede to the top island. When they were all at the island, they jumped in and started adventuring.

"What is this place called?" Rainbow asked.

"This island is called Fine Fields, it's usually not an adventurer's favorite spot, even when it was on the ground." Meta Knight responded.

"I really like this place. It's full of flowers and adorable creatures!" exclaimed Fluttershy, who had been completely silent from the point where she went through the portal to that time. She walked towards a Bronto Burt, and tried to pet it.

"Fluttershy! Wait!" Meta Knight yelled.

"What? It's just an adora- ow! He hit me!" Fluttershy said as Kirby sucked up and swallowed the powerless critter.

"Yes. As adorable as these creatures look, they can and will attack you." Meta Knight said. "I recommend that if you don't wish to fight them, leave it to us and either watch or look away." After that incident, Fluttershy stayed away from the creatures as the rest of the group fought them.

Eventually the group found a small vine in the ground. When Kirby walked over to it, it grew and sprouted a red fruit with yellow bands around it. Kirby poked it, and it morphed into him. He became Hypernova Kirby.
