Then eyed Psyche. The griffon walked toward the door. "No pony fucks with my Ashie." Pinkamena quickly sat up, blood dripping from her mouth. She watched Psyche bust down the door. "YOU!" yelled Psyche. "YOUR ASS IS MINE!!" The griffon left the shop and Pinkamena turned to Zack and Kat. "You two. Get out of here." "What?" asked Zack. "Leave. Go." "You're letting us go?" asked Kat. "Just like that?" "Yes." said Pinkamena. "Now go before I change my mind." Zack took off towards the back door, stopped, and turned. "Come on, Kat." Kat backed away from Pinkamena and took off with Zack. Pinkamena looked out into the main room as a figure entered. "May." whispered the pink mare. 3 Years Later... May quickly awoke and ran to the bathroom. She quickly brushed her teeth and her mane. Dawn let out a yawn as she stood in the doorway. "You're up early." she said. "What's the occasion?" "Pinkamena's due to be released today." said May quickly. "Was that today?" asked Dawn. May continued brushing her mane. "I guess so." May set the brush down and looked at Dawn. "How do I look?" "Like a mare ready to meet her crush." said Dawn with a tired smile. "Wish me luck." said May, running out of the bathroom and out the front door. "Good luck." said Dawn, more to herself since May had already left. The padded room door opened and the doctor stood in the doorway. "Come on, Miss Pie. Your guardian's here." "My guardian?" asked Pinkamena. "Come on. Let's go." Pinkamena slowly stood up and followed the doctor down the hallway. She watched the other crazies as she passed their cell. She then passed by a cell that made her let out a gasp. "You." she whispered. "Keep moving." said the doctor. Pinkamena quickened her pace and they finally made it to the lobby. The doctor approached the front double doors and pushed them open. Pinkamena held up a hoof to shield her eyes from the sun. She let out a groan as the light became exceedingly bright. When her eyes adjusted to the light she saw May standing at the bottom of the steps. The pink mare smiled happily and ran out. She dove down the steps and hugged May. "Oh, May." she said. "I thought I'd never see you again." "I made an arrangement with Celestia. We chalked your case up to you being insane." "I knew you'd pull through for me." "There is one catch, however." "What?" asked Pinkamena. "You are not allowed to return to Ponyville, Fillydelphia, or Trottingham." Pinkamena pulled back slightly to look May in the eyes. "What about Hoofington?" "You mean where you held your killings? I don't think so." "Then, where?" asked Pinkamena, sounding worried. "Not to Appleoosa." "Of course, not. I have a place in Manehattan." "You moved here?" asked Pinkamena. "You bet." Pinkamena leaned in and gave May a kiss. The doctor came down the stairs as the two separated. "Now she may be be sane on record but I'd still be careful." he said. "I'm fine." said Pinkamena. "I feel great." "That may be. But you could still relapse." the doctor explained. "Relapse?" asked May. "How?" "An object could trigger a memory that could bring out her other side again." "Other side?" asked May. "Yes. During our therapy sessions, whenever Pinkamena got a little mad... she would use a darker tone and act intimidating." "Anything serious?" "Not terribly. She never actually did anything, but... she did seem a bit unusual. Just make sure all our progress is not undone. we don't want a repeat of... certain incidents." "I won't let that happen." said May. "I'll watch her." "You better. For your sake and hers." May looked back in Pinkamena's eyes and Pinkamena looked back in hers. "I won't let that happen." May repeated, running a hoof through Pinkamena's mane. The pink mare smiled as the doctor headed back inside. > Welcome Home > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago Zack and Kat ran from the game shop. Kat looked back and saw the griffon standing in front of Twilight, who was slumped up against the side of a building. "Come on, Kat." urged Zack. "Don't look back." Kat looked ahead again and kept running. They finally made it to the train station. "Train leaves in five minutes." said a voice over the speaker. Zack turned to Kat. "Look, Kat. We can't go back. If Pinkamena wins she may try to find us. We have to leave." "Leave?" asked Kat. "Leave Ponyville?" "We have to." said Zack. "Look... I'm getting a ticket for Trottingham. You're welcome to come with me." Kat hesitated, looking down at the ground. She finally looked back up at him. For a moment he thought she was going to decline. Deep down, he was hoping she'd say yes. "We're in this together." she said, putting a hoof on his shoulder. "I'll go wherever you go." "Kat..." said Zack, placing a hoof on her cheek. "I..." He stopped and let out a sigh. Kat nodded slightly. "I know." She leaned in and kissed him. Present Day May opened the door and let Pinkamena in. "Hey, there." said Dawn. "Dawn!" Pinkamena said happily. She ran up to her and gave her a hug. "It's been so long." Dawn hugged her back. "Welcome home, Pinkie." May closed the door and joined them. The two separated from their hug. "So... where's the others?" asked Pinkie. "They'll be here in a bit." said Dawn. "Gives you enough time to get a tour of the house." "Okay." said Pinkamena, smiling. Dawn led Pinkamena from the living room to the dining room next door. "Here is where food shall be consumed." said Dawn. Pinkamena smiled. "Consumed, huh?" "Hey..." said Dawn turning around. "House tours are boring. I should have a little fun." She led Pinkamena to the kitchen, adjacent to the dining room. "And here is where the food is made." said Dawn. Pinkamena trotted through the kitchen, looking in various cabinets. She found cereal, flour, and other non-perishable items. She then headed over to the fridge and opened it, finding milk, eggs, juice, and other stuff. Dawn then showed Pinkamena the bathroom. "Not much to say here except that it's a nice bathroom." said Dawn as Pinkamena headed inside. It was a medium-sized bathroom. It had a shower/bath combo on the left and a sink with a medicine cabinet on the right. There was a closet on the wall between the shower and sink. It was filled with towels and other bathroom requirements like toilet paper. That was pretty much it. Dawn then led her to the guest bedroom at the end of the hall. "And this is where I sleep." said Dawn. Pinkamena stepped in and looked back. "You?" "Yeah. I figured you'd want to sleep with May." Pinkamena smiled as May came up behind Dawn. "How's the tour?" "Pretty nice." said Pinkamena looking at the guest bed. It seemed pretty big for a guest bed. "We can't forget our room." said May heading upstairs. Pinkamena and Dawn followed May upstairs to the master bedroom. The bed here was a tad bit larger than the guest bed. "Such a lovely house." said Pinkamena. "I knew you'd like it." said May, walking up next to her. "How'd you afford it?" "Three years is a long time." May answered. "Th... Three years?" asked Pinkamena. "That long?" "Yes." answered May. "That long." "You waited for me for three years?" "Of course." Pinkamena felt a tear come to her eye as she hugged May. "Thank you." "Don't mention it." The two pulled away slightly and kissed. "Umm..." said Dawn. "I'm just..." She began backing out of the bedroom. "I'm gonna go. Leave you two alone." She stood in the doorway, took one last look, and left. Pinkamena pulled away and looked May in the eyes. "I love you." she whispered. May smiled. "I love you, too." she whispered back. She then looked at the bed and then back at Pinkamena. "How would you like to... you know..." Pinkamena looked at the bed. "You mean..." May nodded. "You got me in bed while I was in the hospital. Let's finish it." Pinkamena looked back at May. She smiled and leaned in, kissing her. Afterwards, she headed over to the bed and slid under the covers. "What're you waiting for?" asked Pinkamena. "Come on." May smiled and headed to the bed. Twilight looked out of the train window. Rarity sat down next to her. "Something wrong, dear?" she asked. Twilight let out a sigh. "I'm just wondering if this is such a good idea." "I understand your concern, darling... but you saw how she was when we last saw her. She's changed." "I know. But this happened before, remember?" "She had lost her memory. This time she made a choice." "Yeah." said Twilight, watching Manehattan come into view. "If you're uncomfortable with all this, we can always go back." "No." said Twilight quickly. "No. That's... not necessary." She took a deep breath. "I'll be fine." Rarity nodded and sat back down in her seat with Applejack. "How is she?" asked AJ. "She's fine. Just worried." "Well, that's understandable." said Applejack. "I mean... I'm a little worried mahself." "We all are." said Rarity. > Reunion > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago Zack looked out the window of the train. Kat was sitting next to him. "So, what do we do when we get to Hoofington?" asked Kat. Zack turned from the window to look at her. "We find a room at a hotel. Once there we can figure out what to do next." Kat nodded. "Alright." Zack put a hoof on her shoulder. "Hey. It's gonna be alright." Kat smiled. "Yeah? You think so?" "I know so." said Zack. "We managed to survive Pinkamena and get away. Ponyville is way back there." he said, motioning to the fading town. "We're far away from all that now. There's no need to worry." "Yeah, I... I guess you're right." said Kat. "I just hope we never have to see her or that griffon again." Zack smiled. "Same here." Present Day Pinkamena sat on the couch with May. There was a knock at the door. Dawn walked passed the couch and headed for the door. When she got there she, obviously, opened it. The whole gang was there. Dawn stepped aside allowing them to enter. The group gathered in the living room and took their seats. Some sat in arm chairs and some on couches. Two had to sit on the floor. They all looked at Pinkamena. The pink mare couldn't bring herself to make eye contact. May placed a hoof on her shoulder. "Come on, Pinkie." she said gently. "All your friends are here. Aren't you gonna say something?" Pinkamena took a deep breath. "I... I'm sorry. For everything." "It's all right, Pinkie." said Twilight. "Don't w--" "No!" yelled Pinkamena. "It's not okay!" She quickly looked up at the group, tears in her eyes. "I hurt you. All of you. There wasn't a day that went by when I didn't think about that." Kat got up from her chair and went over to Pinkamena. "Pinkie..." she said. "That's the past. Don't worry about it. And I'm sure if Zack was here, he'd say the same thing." She leaned in and gave Pinkamena a hug. May looked around and noticed she was right. Zack wasn't here. Kat ended the hug and sat back down. "You see, Pinkie?" said May. "There's nothing to worry about anymore." Pinkamena smiled as there was the faint scent of smoke. "Is something burning?" asked Macy. "Ah, crap!" yelled Dawn, dashing off to the kitchen. "You made food?" asked Fern. "Yes." said May. "I thought we'd all sit down and have a meal. "Awesome." said Fern. The group gathered at the long dining table where plates of food was set. "This looks really good, Dawn." said Twilight as everyone sat down. "Thanks. I worked hard on this." "I can tell." said Twilight. The group all started eating. Pinkamena stared at her silverware and slowly began reaching for the fork. She managed to pick it up but stopped when she used her other hoof to reach for the knife. May looked down at Pinkamena's hoof which was hovered above the knife, shaking. May placed her hoof on Pinkamena's and looked at her. The pink mare looked at May with a saddened expression. Twilight and Dawn watched what was going on. "Pinkie." whispered May. "You can do it. I believe in you." "So do I." said Twilight, leaning across the table so no one else could hear. Pinkamena and May looked at her. "Me, too." whispered Dawn with a smile. Pinkamena looked at both of them and then down at the knife. She slowly picked it up and began eating. She was on her second bite when her hoof started to shake. A tear formed in her eye as she lowered the fork. She could feel the urge rising but she tried her best to hold it back. All she could do was stare at the fork. "Pinkie?" asked May, noticing her behavior. The pink mare didn't hear her. She was too focused on the fork. "Pinkie!" said May louder. The pink mare let out a gasp and quickly looked over at May. The others at the table were watching with an upset expression. No one like seeing their friend like this. "Pinkie." May repeated. "It's all right." Pinkie looked back at her fork and then back at May. "I-I can't do this." she finally said, leaving the table. "I'm sorry." May let out a sigh and watched her leave. "The poor dear." said Rarity. "I wish there was something we could do to help." "She's on her own, I'm afraid." said May. She returned to her food. "Only she can make hereof better." Applejack was outside admiring the garden. Pinkamena left the house and walked over to her. "Howdy, Pinkie." she said, seeing the mare approaching. Pinkamena stopped next to her. "Applejack... I just wanted to apologize for what I said before." "What're you talkin' 'bout, sugarcube?" "I should never have blamed this on you. It wasn't your fault." "When did you--" "The little filly's right." said Pinkamena. "I will kill each and every one of you." she knelt down in front of Applejack. "Starting with the one responsible for my condition." "Me?" asked Applejack, shocked. "Yes. It was you who lied to me, miss Element Of Honesty. Must've been hard for you to do, huh?" "It was a surprise party." "If only you had told me the truth... even in secret... none of this would've had to happen. And you know I would've acted surprised." "Oh... right. I remember." "I'm sorry, AJ." "Oh, heck. Don't worry about it." "You sure?" asked Pinkamena. "It's all water under the bridge, Pinkie. I'm over it." Pinkamena smiled. "Thanks, AJ." > Night Talk > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago... The apartment door opened and Zack walked in, followed by Kat. "This place is nice." said Kat. "Yeah." said Zack, walking to the bedroom. "Uh..." "What is it?" asked Kat. Zack looked at her. "One bed." "Oh, well..." said Kat. "We c... We can manage." "You sure?" "Yeah. You don't snore, do you?" asked Kat. Zack shook his head. "Nope." "Then we should do just fine." Zack headed into the kitchen area. "This place is nice." Kat went into the bedroom and jumped onto the bed, sliding under the covers. "This bed feels nice." she said. "Come here and try it out." Zack turned around, taking in the fact that Kat had just asked him to get in bed with her. He then made his way into the bedroom and got in the bed on the other side. "It is nice." he said. Kat looked out the window in the bedroom. It was night time. "I'm probably gonna go to sleep." she said, turning around to face Zack. "Me, too." "Remember..." said Kat. "No snoring." Zack smiled as Kat closed her eyes. He did the same. Present Day May lay in bed, reading a book. Pinkamena came in and yawned. "Have fun today?" asked May. Pinkamena went around to the other side of the bed and climbed in. She then scooted next to May and laid down, her head in the mare's lap. May put the book on the nightstand and stroked Pinkamena's mane. "Something wrong?" Pinkamena let out a sigh. "I'm sorry if I'm worrying you, May, but... I don't know if I can do this." "Do what, honey?" Pinkamena exhaled deeply before answering. "You have to understand that I've done a lot of... bad things in the past. All those mares and colts..." A tear came to her eye. "All those ponies..." She began to cry a little. "There, there." May cooed, continuing rubbing Pinkamena's mane. "I see their faces... all the time. And... one of them's... S-S-S..." "One of them's who?" asked May. Pinkamena looked up into her eyes. "Strawberry." May looked away, suddenly feeling angry again. "You have to still hate me for that." Pinkamena continued. "That's not something one just forgives." May closed her eyes. "I know she was your best friend, and--" "Stop it!" yelled May. Pinkamena had a hurt look on her face as she quickly sat up. May held a hoof to her own mouth when she realized what she said. "Oh, baby, I'm..." She held out her hooves, "I'm sorry." Pinkamena leaned in and May embraced her. "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have yelled." "I'm the one that's sorry." cried Pinkamena. "I'm the one that k--" "You weren't yourself." May interrupted. "Yes, I was!" cried Pinkamena, pulling away from May. "I'm the same now as I was then! Don't you get it? I killed Strawberry. I killed those ponies. Me!" She hung her head and continued to cry. "Oh, Sweetie, I..." said May. "I had no idea." "Every pony kept trying to pin my behavior on a split personality. That I wasn't myself." She paused. "There was no split personality." Pinkamena explained. "Nothing was wrong with my mind. I... I actually enjoyed killing." "But you're different now." said May. "You've changed. You're no longer a killer." "But, I... still have the instinct." May pulled Pinkamena closer and hugged her. "I'll help you through this, baby. I promise." "No matter what?" asked Pinkamena. "Even if I... I... lose it again?" "No matter what." said May with a smile. "I promise I will always be there for you. I'll make sure you don't have relapse. That's a promise." Pinkamena smiled and sniffled. "R-Really?" "Really." "I love you, May." "I love you, too." > "I love her" > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago Zack awoke next to Kat, who was uttering something in her sleep. Zack patted her head and got out of bed. He then made his way into their little kitchen and opened the fridge. Inside was milk, water, orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, mango juice, kiwi juice, and tons of other juices. Zack took the mango and poured a glass. He then heard a yawn behind him and turned around. "Morning." said Kat, rubbing her eyes. "Morning." said Zack. "Sleep well?" "Yeah." said Kt through a yawn. "I did." Zack took a sip of his mango juice. "Would you like some breakfast?" he asked. "Sure." said Kat, sitting down at the table. Zack took out two eggs and began making sunny-side up eggs. When they were down, he carried them over to the table and set one plate in front of Kat. He sat the other one down on the table and then sat down himself. "Thank you." thanked the mare. Zack hesitated before asking, "What are we?" Kat looked up at him from her food. "What?" "What are we, like... relationship-wise?" This caught Kat off guard. "Uh..." "I do love you, Kat." he said. "And you kissed me before. So..." Kat nodded. "And I love you." "You do?" "Yeah." "So... We're dating?" asked Zack hesitantly. Kat smiled. "I guess we are." Present Day Pinkamena turned on the shower. When it was warm enough she got in. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the feel of the water on her skin. May appeared in the doorway and leaned against the frame. "Morning." she said. Pinkamena opened her eyes and looked at May. "Morning. Gonna come in with me?" May smiled. "Not this time. I already took a shower." "Why so early?" "I'm heading out for some errands." said May. "Not sure how long I'll be gone for." "Oh. Well... Hurry back." "I'll try, sweetie." said May. "In the meantime Dawn'll be here." Pinkamena nodded and May left. After a few more minutes, Pinkamena shut off the shower and stepped out. After drying off with a towel, she headed to the den. Dawn was sitting on the couch reading a book. she looked up when she heard Pinkamena. "Hi, there." she said sweetly. "Hi." Pinkamena said with a wave. She went over to the couch and sat down with a sigh. "Is something wrong?" asked Dawn. "I've..." Pinkamena began. "I've been thinking... about stuff." "Stuff?" asked Dawn, putting her book down on her lap. "Like what?" "Well... like..." she let out a sigh. "You can tell me." said Dawn. "You can tell me anything." Pinkamena took a deep breath. "I love May." "We all know that, Pinkie." said Dawn with a giggle. "That's no secret." "No. I mean I... really love her." Pinkamena paused. "I was actually thinking about asking her... t-to... um..." "Ask her to what?" asked Dawn. Pinkamena eyed her. "Oh. You mean..." Her eyes lit up with delight. "Marriage?" Pinkamena said nothing but her face said 'yes'. "Oh, that's great!" said Dawn, hugging the pink mare. When they separated, Pinkamena looked at her. "But I'm a little nervous." "That's fine." said Dawn. "It's okay to be nervous. It happens to everypony." "I'm more worried about the wedding." "Really?" asked Dawn. "How so?" "What will Ponyville and the other town think when they hear I'm getting married? And what will they think of May?" "You're more worried about May, aren't you?" Pinkamena looked away. "I..." She let out a sigh. "I don't want others to think badly of her." Dawn put a hoof on her shoulder. "It's May's choice to be dating you, Pinkie. If she cared what others thought... wouldn't she have left you by now?" The pink mare looked at Dawn. "You really think so?" "I know so. May's very kind. She saw the good in you when no other pony would. I have no doubt that she'll stick by your side." Pinkamena smiled. "Thanks, Dawn." She leaned in and hugged her. "Thanks a bunch." "No problem." said Dawn. "But just one question?" "Yeah?" asked Pinkamena. "Can I be the best mare?" Pinkamena smiled and pulled away. "Of course." > The Proposal > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago... Zack was sitting on the couch, watching TV when Kat came through the front door. "Hey, there... sweetie." he said. Kat smiled at him, hesitating before she closed the door. "Hey. Whatcha doing?" she asked. "Just watching a little television." said Zack. "There's been a, uh... a story about Ponyville. About a certain pink mare." "Pinkamena?" asked Kat, quickly sitting down with him. "What happened?" she asked quickly. "Is every pony okay?" "Shh, shh..." Zack hushed. "Every pony's just fine. Pinkamena was actually taken to an insane asylum." "An insane asylum?" asked Kat. "The one in--" "Manehattan." Zack finished. "Isn't that, like, d--" "Directly west of here." said Zack with his eyes closed. He let out a sigh and opened his eyes. "What does that mean?" asked Kat. "Are we safe?" "For now. But if Pinkamena finds out we're here... and she gets out..." Zack stopped when he saw the frightened expression on Kat's face. He put a hoof around her and pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry, Kat. I won't let her hurt you. Not again." Kat hugged back. "I love you, Zack." "I love you, too." Present Day... May opened the front door. "I'm home!" Dawn set her book down and went over to her. "Hiya." "Where's Pinks?" asked May. Dawn tried to hide a smile. "She's upstairs." May tilted her head in confusion. "Upstairs?" Dawn nodded. "Go on." May began making her way to the hallway, eyeing Dawn as she disappeared down the hallway. She made her way up the stairs and saw a light coming from the bedroom. May trotted up to the bedroom doorway. "Pinkie?" she asked, standing in the doorway. The pink mare was standing next to the bed, candles were on the nightstands. "What's going on?" May walked up to the Pinkamena. "I have something I wanna ask you." "What?" asked May. Pinkamena took a deep breath. "May... Will... Will you..." "Yes?" Pinkamena took another deep breath. "May... Will you marry me?" This caught May by surprise. "Pinkie, I..." Pinkamena nodded. "I understand. Too soon, right?" "N-No." said May, placing a hoof on Pinkamena's shoulder. "Just unexpected." "So... will you?" May smiled. "Of course I will." Pinkamena smiled and hugged her tightly. "I love you, May." "I love you, too." The pulled away and stared into each other's eyes. Then, Pinkamena leaned in and kissed her. May was a little shocked but closed her eyes and kissed back. The two then fell onto the bed, where they stayed for the rest of the morning. Later that night, May awoke with a yawn. She looked down and saw Pinkamena laying on her stomach. She smile and patted her head. She then gently slid out from under Pinkamena, careful not to wake her, and headed downstairs. She made her way to the kitchen and headed to the fridge. She then opened it and began searching. "So..." came a voice. May closed the fridge door and saw Dawn standing there. May smiled and nodded. Dawn's eyes lit up with happiness. "Oh, May." she said, hugging her. "Congratulations." "Thanks." Dawn pulled back first. "We need to start planning your wedding." she said, cheerfully. "Big wedding or a small one?" "Let's just take this slowly, okay?" said May. "And it may be a small one. I don't want Pinkamena to feel croweded by strangers. I may just invite our friends." "Sounds good to me." Dawn said with a smile, heading out of the kitchen. "You two have fun." May smiled and opened the fridge again. she grabbed a juice box and headed back to the master bedroom. > Preparations > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Years Ago... Zack opened the door to their apartment. "I'll be back." he said. "I'm just gonna go for a walk." "All right." said KAt with a smile. "Hurry back." "Oh, I will." said the colt, leaving. Kat let out a sigh and sat down on the couch. Zack left the apartment building and took a breath of fresh air. He began walking through the streets of Trottingham. The sun was bright and warm and Zack love it. It just seemed like one of those perfect days. He stopped at a jewelry store and looked in the window. His eyes rested on a ring. "That's the one." he said to himself. Present Day May opened a book of dress designs and flipped through the pages excitedly. "Calm down, May." said Pinkie who was sitting next to her at the kitchen table. "I-I can't." said May. "I'm just way too excited." Pinkamena smiled. "So am I." May stopped on a page and pointed. "How 'bout that one?" she asked. "Pink goes well with pink, right?" Pinkamena looked at it. It was a light pink dress with slightly wavy edges. "Looks nice." said Pinkamena. "Go for it. "Now for me." said May, flipping through the pages. Dawn came into the kitchen and sat down across from them. "What's the status in the dresses?" she asked. "We found one for me." said Pinkie. "Now May's looking for one for herself.' "I see," said Dawn. "Well, that place you wanted to get married at is available... in one week." "One week?" asked Pinkamena. "That should give us plenty of time to prepare." "Found one." said May. "Beautiful choice, May." said Pinkamena. Dawn smiled. "I can't believe you're actually getting married." "I know, right?" said May. "It's like a dream come true." Pinkamena put a hoof around May. "Me, too." she said. "Well... before I became a... you know..." "Well all that's behind us." said Dawn. "You two are getting married. No negative thoughts are allowed." "Yes, ma'am." said May, giggling.. Pinkamena slipped an envelope, addressed to the Ponyville library, into the mailbox. She let out a sigh. "It's really happening." she said aloud. A tear came to her eye as she smiled happily. It seemed like forever since she had someone who cared for her. And now she'd have that for the rest of her life. She turned and headed back to May's house. Kat was still sitting on the porch when Pinkamena got back. "Kat?" she asked. "You're still here?" "Zack hasn't come yet." she said. "Where is he?" "He hasn't showed yet?" asked Pinkamena. "That's odd." "I'm starting to get worried." "It's only been a day, right?"asked Pinkamena. Kat shook her head. "Three years." she said as she began to sob. Pinkamena sat down next to her. "Oh, Kat." she said. "I-I'm sorry. Do you have an id--" "No! I wish I did, but I don't!" she cried. Pinkamena hugged her tightly. "There, there." she said. "Why didn't you say anything before?" "I didn't want to worry any pony." The pink mare let out a sigh. "Well... You're welcome to stay here until you hear from him." "I should probably get back, then." said Kat, getting up. "He'd look for me at our apartment." Pinkamena nodded. "Do what you have to do." Kat smiled. "Thanks, Pinks. You've been a good friend." "I know." said the mare. "Ironic, ain't it?" Kat smiled and left. "See ya, Pinks." Pinkamena watched her leave. "Where did Zack go?" she thought aloud. 3 Years Ago... Zack looked at the ring he bought and smiled. "Best... day... ever." He was directly in front of a darkened alleyway when he felt a powerful blow to the head, knocking him out. The last thing he heard was, "Oops." giggled the voice. "My bad." He was then dragged into the alley, leaving the ring behind on the ground. Think of this as Season One and "The Aftermath Series" Season Two. > A Complication > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The doctor pushed a button on the wall, sounding an alarm. "SHE GOT OUT!!!" he yelled. "SOMEPONY HE--" A unicorn mare popped up next to him and drove her hoof deep in his mouth. The colt gurgled as he choked on her hoof, soon dropping dead. Two more doctors burst into the room with taser guns. One fired at the magenta mare. She ducked and dove, dodging the taser. She then circled the room and tackled the colt. The other doctor raised his taser and fired. The mare leaned to the side and the taser hit the colt instead. His body flapped about as he was repeatedly shocked. The mare grabbed the tasers and pulled them out of the colt. She then threw them at the other doctor. He let out a yell and dropped to the floor. The colt the mare had tackled looked up at her. "Wh... Who are you?" he asked. The mare grabbed his head. "Wouldn't you like to know?" SNAP! The doctor's body fell limp. She stood up and trotted over to the other colt, who was groaning. She raised her hoof and brought it down hard on his neck, crushing it. She then dove out of the room and ran down the hallway, heading towards the exit. A unicorn stepped into view at the end of the hall. His horn glowed brightly as he shot a beam near the mare's hooves. She looked down and saw a circle beneath her. "What the hell?" she asked. She soon fell through the floor and landed in the basement, tumbling across the floor for a bit. She soon skidded to a stop as she bumped into a barrel. The mare looked up at the ceiling and saw the portal closing. "Damn!" she yelled. She looked at the barrel. It was fuel for the asylum's back-up generator. Her horn had penetrated it, causing the liquid inside to spill out. Behind it were tons of other fuel barrels, stacked up to the ceiling. She whipped around when she heard hoofsteps approaching. Soon, four or five unicorn guards ran into view and stopped. The mare ran at them. "I'll kill all of you!" she yelled. The guards all shot beams at her. One hit her, causing her to fly backwards. She skidded along the floor, her horn causing sparks to fly everywhere. She was about to get up when she heard something. She looked over and saw that the sparks from her horn had lit the trail of fuel. The fire had almost reached the barrels. The mare stared at it. "Oh, shi--" Two mares were walking by on the road. A red one and a green one. "So, what're you gonna do tonight?" asked the red mare. "I dunno." said the other. "I wanted to just sit by the fire and read a book, but I'm out of this fire starter block thingies." "You haven't gotten more yet?" asked the red mare. The green mare sighed. "No, I--" Just then the asylum suddenly blew-up, section by section. The mares yelled and ducked, covering their heads as debris rained down. Faint screams could be heard from inside until the whole place was up in flames. "You got that book?" asked the red mare. "An explosion at the Manehattan Asylum has resulted in the death of the thirty doctors and its twenty patients." "Honey?" said May, sitting on the couch. "You may want to see this." Pinkamena trotted over and sat down. "What is it?" "Look." "The explosion was believed to be caused by an inmate who attempted to escape. This failed attempt led the inmate to the basement, resulting in the asylum's fuel supply to be set on fire." "Oh, my god..." whispered Pinkamena, covering her mouth. "All those ponies... dead." The thought of all the dead bodies caused her to have a flashback of all the ponies she's hurt and/or killed over time... and how good she felt doing it. "Time's up." said Pinkie, standing behind Bubbles. She held up the scalpel to Bubbles' neck. "Don't forget me." said Bubbles, still looking up at Rainbow Dash. "Never." said Dash. Pinkie slit Bubbles' throat. Twilight and Trixie stood in the doorway of the kitchen of the Mayor's house and almost threw up. The Mayor's body was up against the back wall. A knife was shoved through each of her front legs, nailing her to the wall. Her stomach was ripped open. Both her eyes were missing as well as her tongue. There was a message written in blood above the corpse. It read, LOSING A FRIEND'S TRUST IS THE QUICKEST WAY TO LOSE A FRIEND ♥. Pinkie lunged at the guard on the left and bit his throat. Her metal tooth dug deep into his skin. She pulled out, and then tore a chunk out of his wing. He stopped flapping his wings and fell, putting more pressure on the other guard. Pinkie sliced the rope with her tooth. The injured guard fell and hit the ground with a thud. The other guard started to fly lower as Pinkie bit into his neck. Pinkie pulled out and tore a chunk out of his wing and he started to fall. The pony started to wake as Pinkie opened her mouth. She dug her metal tooth into the neck of the pony. She only had a split second to scream as Pinkie snapped her neck. The blood poured out into the toilet bowl. Pinkie caught some of it in the box, making sure it didn't hit the sides. When she had enough, she plucked out the mare's eye. She then set the eye in the blood in the box and closed it. "Mmm." said a voice. The unicorn whipped around and saw a pink pony with long, staright hair that fell over her face. "Don't you look delicious?" said the pink mare. The unicorn let out a gasp as Pinkie lunged at her throat. "I know how to shut you up." said Pinkie Pie. She squeezed the sides of the guard's mouth with her hooves to force it open. She then dug her teeth into the guard's mouth and grabbed his tongue. She pulled back, ripping the tongue from his mouth. The guard drowned by choking on his own blood. Pinkie Pie finished the tongue and looked down. A guard moved in on Pinkie. She flung her front legs off the spikes and lunged at the guard. She dug her teeth into his neck. The other guard took a step back as Pinkie ran at him. He held up his hooves as Pinkie lunged at his face. Celestia burst through the front doors of the castle and stood outside. She had never felt more angry in her life. Bodies of dead ponies lay on the ground, covered in blood. "I wonder how good they work." she said, eyeing the dentist. He took a step back and Pinkie lunged from the chair, pinning him against the wall again. She opened wide and dug her new teeth into the dentist's neck. Pinkie lunged at one of the guards and dug her teeth into his neck. He died instantly. Pinkamena then slid to the side and bit the guard's leg off. He fell to the ground, yelling. Pinkie then dug her teeth into his neck. A guard tried to sneak up behind her, but she heard him. She whipped around and lunged at the guard. She dug her teeth in his face. Pinkie bit the guard in the face and then leaped at the approaching guard, She bit him on the side. She darted at another guard. She dug her teeth into his face and twisted it, snapping his neck. Pinkie leaped at another, biting his neck She bit another guard on the front leg, and then subsequently ripped it off. Another guard tried rushing her, but she ducked and bit his leg off. She rushed the captain and lunged at him. He was barely able to make a sound before metal teeth dug into his flesh. A pony lay on the ground, her stomach ripped open. "Yeah, I--" Berry started, before feeling something sharp slash across her neck. She collapsed to the ground. Twilight and Dawn ran in while the others stood at the door. May was sitting on the floor with a blindfold on. Her left foreleg had a stab mark and her right back leg had a large cut. Fern lay on the floor, covered in cuts and blood... but still alive. The mare took a few more steps backwards before turning to run for the door, bumping into the pink mare. Pinkamena put a hoof around the mare before biting into her neck. The mare's body collapsed to the floor. Zack looked up at the red colt as a game disc shot by, cutting his head off. Pinkamena opened her mouth and bit the colt in the neck, digging her teeth into his skin. Pinkamena pulled the colt back to where he was. She then leaned forward and bit into his neck. "I... I'm gonna go for a walk." she said, almost emotionless. "O-Okay." said May, watching her leave. Dawn came in and sat down. "What was that?" "I showed Pinkamena a news report about that asylum she was at. It burned down." "Didn't she seem a little... weird when she left?" asked Dawn. "No, wh... What are you saying?" asked May. "Are you saying she was turning back into her old self?" "Well, you did show her a news report where a lot of ponies died." said DAwn. "I... I-I didn't even think about that." stammered May. Dawn let out a sigh. "I just hope she doesn't... do anything." "Me, too." said May, feeling a little upset. "I-I don't know what I'd do if I caused her to change back." Dawn started to say something when May stood up. "Where you going?" "Out." said May. "I'm gonna go find Pinkie." May trotted through the streets, keeping an eye out for anything pink. "Pinkie, honey!" she called. "You around here?" She saw a shadow move in an alley. "Pinkie?" She cautiously moved towards the alley, trying not to make a sound. She took a deep breath and rounded the corner. She then let out a scream. In the alley was a mutilated body of a mare. May looked at the end of the alley and saw a brief glimpse of a pink mare's hoof. "P-P-Pinkie?" asked May, a tear falling from her eye. Ponies ran over when they heard her scream. "What is it?" one of them asked. "What's wrong?" May tried to stop hyperventilating. The ponies looked into the alley and gasped. One even threw-up. May pushed her way through the crowd and ran home, crying. > Investigation and Doubts > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- May burst through the front door of her house and headed to the couch in the living room. Dawn got up and trotted over to the door. "You okay?" she asked, closing the door. "I... I-I... I..." stammered May. "s-s-saw another m-m-m-murrrderrr..." Dawn went wide-eyed. "ANother murder?" May nodded. "A-A-And I c-c-caught a g-glimpse o-of the m-m-murderer." Dawn quickly trotted over to the couch and sat down. "You did?" she asked. "Who was it?" "I-I don't know." said May. "I only saw her hind leg when she rounded the corner." "How do you know it was a mare?" "She was pink." Dawn let out a small gasp. "You think it's..." "I don't know!" cried May. "I hope not." Just then the front door opened. Dawn looked over her shoulder and then back at May. "It's Pinkie." she whispered. "Stop crying and act natural." May nodded and wiped the tears from her eyes. Pinkamena closed the door and trotted passed the couch, heading towards the hallway. "Enjoy your walk?" asked Dawn. Pinkamena said nothing. She reached the end of the hall and took the stairs to the top floor where the master bedroom was. "Oh, Pinkie." whispered May. Pinkamena was laying down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. An image of Strawberry flashed through her mind. She held her head with both hooves. "Stop it." she whispered. More images of her victims flooded her mind. "Stop it. Stop it. Stop it." she repeated. The images became more intense. "Stop it! STOP IT!" May watched from the doorway, tears in her eyes. "Oh, sweetie. I'm so sorry." Pinkamena finally quieted down and May entered the room, heading to her side of the bed, She slid in the covers and put a hoof around the pink mare. Pinkamena slowly opened her eyes halfway. "May?" asked the pink mare. "Hey, Pinks." "When'd you get here?" "Just now. Sorry to wake you." "No..." said Pinkamena, shaking her head slightly and sniffling. "I'm actually glad you did. You see... I wanna talk to you about something." "Really?" asked May. "About what?" "Well..." said Pinkamena, looking away slightly. "I'm afraid I may be... getting those urges... again." "Urges?" "To... kill." "Oh, Pinkie. Don't say things like that." "But I've been having images of dead bodies and... I just don't know. Today, I... I a--" "Look, sweetie." said May, placing a hoof on Pinkamena's cheek. "I'm gonna help you through this." Pinkamena smiled. "I loe you, May." "I love you, too." May leaned in to kiss her on the cheek, but Pinkamena tilted her hesd, causing May to kiss her on the lips. May was a bit surprised as she wasn't expecting that, but she closed her eyes and leaned into it further. After a few seconds, the two slowly separated and stared into each other's eyes, smiling. May looked over Pinkamena at the open doorway. Pinkamena looked over her shoulder and saw the open door. "Does Dawn stay up late?" she asked. "Usually." Pinkamena looked back at May. The red mare eyed her and smiled, using her magic to close the door. Pinkamena awoke that night with a yawn. She looked over at May, who had her fore hoof on her chest. Pinkamena slowly and gently removed the hoof. May let out a groan. Pinkamena smiled and kissed her on the forehead. She then got out of bed and left the room. The next morning, May awoke to yelling from downstairs. She flung the covers off and ran to the source of the voices. "I already told you!" yelled Pinkamena. "It wasn't me!" "Well, who else could've done it?!" yelled the Royal Guard pegasus. "HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!" "Listen, here, Pinkie..." spat the guard. "Everything was fine around here until you showed up with all your killings. BAck in Ponyville? Yeah... The only one in this town that kills like that... is you." "That's a lie!!!" yelled Pinkamena. May trotted into the room and stopped. "What's going on?" "Are you May?" asked the guard. "Y-Yeah... Why are you yelling at my fiance?" "Your fiance, huh?" asked the guard. "Well, are you aware of what kind of pony she is?" "Yeah." said May. "I was there. I'm the one that helped her stop. She's been in the asylum for all these years, getting help." "The asylum?" asked the guard. "Oh, you mean the one that blew up? Right... Well, are you aware she's killed again? "I DID NOT!!!" Pinkamena protested. "We found a body a few blocks from here." the guard said. "He didn't have a head." May put a hoof to her mouth to keep from vomiting. "And you think it was Pinkie?" she asked. "Who else?" May looked at Pinkamena and then back at the guard. "It wasn't her. I'm sure of it." She sounded unsure. "The killer... was a pink mare..." May went wide-eyed but then shook away her shock. "I can account for her whereabouts." "Oh, can you?" asked the Royal Guard. My nodded. "She was with me." Pinkamena let out a small gasp. The guard eyed her and then looked at May. "Are you... positive?" he asked. May nodded. "Yes. We were, uh... you know... in the bedr--" The guard held up a hoof to silence her. "Please, ma'am. I don't need to know your private life." "S-Sorry..." "And you're sure?" "Yes. I'm sure." The colt hesitated but nodded and lowered his hoof. "All right, ma'am. Sorry for the... trouble." "You're just... doing your job." "And if you hear anything--" the guard started. "I'll let the Royal Guard know," said May. The colt slowly turned, eyeing Pinkamena before heading out the door. May trotted over to it and closed the door, not turning around. "M-May?" asked Pinkamena. "Did you do it?" asked May softly. "Wh... What?" asked the pink mare, sounding hurt. "Y-You don't think I had something to do with this." May said nothing. Pinkamena ran up to her worriedly. "May... Please..." She wiped tears from her eyes. May turned around and smiled. "No. I don't." She then hugged the pink mare. Pinkamena smiled. "Thank you, May." "You're welcome, baby." May said, looking a little uncertain. > A Royal Visit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a knock on the front door. Dawn set her magazine down on the floor and got up. "Coming!" yelled Dawn, not really sure who it could be. She gripped the doorknob in her magic and opened it, letting out a gasp and immediately bowing. "P-P-Princess Celestia..." stammered the mare. The princess was accompanied by two royal guards. "Rise, Dawn," said the princess. Dawn got up and looked at at Celestia. "Not to sound rude, but... why are you here?" "May I come in?" asked Celestia. Dawn quickly nodded and stepped to the side. "Of course, princess." Celestia smiled as she stepped in. She looked over her shoulder and shook her head, signaling the guards to stay outside. She closed the door behind her. "Thank you, Dawn." "Any time," said the mare. "What's this all about?" "I am sure you are aware of a little visit earlier from one of my guards?" "Y-Yes..." stammered Dawn. "But, we've already said it wasn't her." "I understand how hard this must be for you... and especially May... but if Equestria is in danger, it is my duty to take action. You understand this, right?" Dawn nodded hesitantly. "Yeah... I know... So, what are you here for?" "I simply would like to talk with her." "Pinkie?" asked Dawn. Celestia smiled. "Um... S-Sure... Let me go... get her..." she said, backing up slightly before turning and heading down the hallway. She went into the kitchen where the other two were. "Who is it?" asked May, sitting next to Pinkamena at the kitchen table. "It's, uh... Celestia..." Pinkamena suddenly stopped all movement and slowly looked up at Dawn. "C-Celestia?" she asked. "B-But... I didn't do anyth--" "She only wants to talk," interrupted Dawn. "T... Talk?" "Yeah. Talk." Pinkamena looked at May, who gave her a kiss. "Just relax. If it wasn't you, you have nothing to worry about." "I-If?" "Okay. Poor choice of words," said May. "Just relax." The pink mare nodded and took a deep breath before leaving the kitchen. She entered the living room and stood in front of Celestia. She hesitated before bowing. "Celestia... I-I wasn't expecting you..." The white alicorn placed a hoof on Pinkamena's shoulder. "How have you been?" Pinkamena looked up at her. "Good... Better." "May helping you?" Pinks nodded, smiling. "She's the best." Celestia smiled. "That's good to hear." Pinkamena stood. "So... I assume you're hear because of the... murder?" The princess nodded. "Given your history, I'd be expected to check on you." "I understand," said the pink mare. "I just... would like to thank you for... giving me a second chance... even after everything I did." "Well, you... seemed to have changed." "I have," said Pinkamena. "I'm just... filled with so much regret, I could just... die..." ''Well... I just hope that what you say is true and that it wasn't you. You were always a favorite of mine, Pinkie. Always ready to make somepony laugh and smile. You always put others ahead of yourself and never asked for anything in return. You were a true friend to every pony. I just hope one day you can remember how to laugh and smile." Pinkamena smiled and hugged her. "Thank you so much, princess." Celestia smiled and put a hoof around her. "You're welcome, Pinkie." Celestia left the house and closed the door. "So, did she do it?" asked one of the guards. The princess eyed him. "Still uncertain, but... I don't think she did it." "What shall we do?" asked the other guard. "Keep an eye on her. I really want to believe she's innocent, but... I can't make a decision without more evidence." "We understand, your highness," said the first guard. "We'll stick around and keep an eye out." Celestia nodded. "Thank you. When your shift is over, return to the castle. Let your replacements know the plan." The guards nodded and the princess took off back to the castle. Pinkamena sat down on the couch in the living room and sighed. She reached down and picked up the magazine that DAwn was reading and opened it. May and Dawn sat down on either side of her. "How was it?" asked May. Pinkamena smiled. "She trusts me..." May and Dawn looked at each other, not sure what to think. "Well, that's good," said Dawn. "At least she trusts you." Pinkamena smiled and handed her the magazine. "Yeah. It is, isn't it?" She got up and walked to the window, letting out a sigh of relief. "I feel really good," said the pink mare, closing her eyes. "Well..." said May. "Happy to hear it, baby." Pinkamena opened her eyes and caught a glimpse of a Royal Guard walking around outside. She let out a sigh and turned from the window, letting out a yawn. "I'm gonna take a quick nap," said the pink mare, leaving the living room and heading upstairs. May and Dawn looked at each other, a little worried. May trotted up the window and looked out, seeing the guard. "What is it?" asked Dawn. "A Royal Guard," answered May. She turned to Dawn. "Do you think Pinkie saw him?" Dawn didn't know what to say, but her thoughts weren't very good at all. > Caught > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinkamena left the house, making sure the guard didn't see, and headed down the street. She inhaled in the fresh air and sighed, relaxed. She looked around at all the ponies walking by and smiled at how peaceful it was. Like everything was and will be okay. She began humming a cheerful tune when suddenly a colt bumped her into an alley. "H-Hey..." she protested. "W-Watch it!" "Oh, sorry," he said sarcastically. "Didn't see you." "Yeah, okay," said the pink mare, trying to get passed him. "Very funny." He blocked her path. "Where you going?" "I was just... out for a walk..." replied the pink mare. "Now, will you get out of my way?" "Well, how about you forget your walk and hang out with me instead?" "I really don't think I should--" "Why not?" "Well... I'm engaged, and... I don't know you." The colt smiled. "Engaged, huh? You somepony's fiancé." "Um..." said Pinkamena, nervous. "Yeah." The colt pressed a hoof to her neck and held her in place. "That makes this that much hotter." "Wait, what?" asked Pinkamena. "What are you--" The colt leaned in and began kissing her neck. She let out a frustrated growl before shoving him off. "Knock it off!" she protested as she came at her again. "I said, 'stop it'!" "Come on..." said the colt, leaning in. "You know you want it..." A purple mare trotted by, enjoying her day when all of a sudden she heard a soft whoosh, a yelp, and something splattering. She headed towards the source of the noise and found herself at an alley. She held a hoof over her mouth to keep herself from gagging, tears filling her eyes. Pinkamena stood over the dead body of the colt and looked up at the mare with a gasp. "Oh, no..." she whimpered. "SOMEPONY HELP!!!" cried the mare. Pinkamena began crying as she ran back to the house. A bunch of colts and mares came running over to the alley. "It was HER!!!" cried the purple mare. "THAT PINK PONY FROM THE NEWS!!!" "Let's get her!" yelled a bunch of crowd members. Pinkamena burst through the door and shut it, locking it. May came running over. "What's wrong?" she asked. "I messed up big time," said the pink mare, sobbing. May saw the blood on her hooves and went wide-eyed. "You didn't..." "Please... help me..." begged Pinkie. "Please..." May stared into Pinkamena's eyes before sighing and nodding. "Dawn. Help me." Dawn came trotting over and noticed the blood. "D-Did she..." "That's not important right now," said May. "Right now, we have to leave." Dawn eyed Pinkamena. "O-Okay..." "Dawn, I..." said Pinks, a tear in her eye. "Please..." said May. "I love her and I'm going to help her. Even if we have to leave Equestria to live together." Dawn and Pinkamena both gasped softly. Then, Dawn nodded. "Okay... What do you wanna do?" "You know that abandoned run-down home we used to play at when we were fillies?" Dawn nodded. "What about it?" "We need to teleport there?" "Teleport? Why?" asked Dawn. Just then there was banging on the front and back doors. "OPEN UP!!!" yelled a voice from outside. "WE KNOW SHE'S IN THERE!!!" May gasped. "Dawn... Now." Dawn nodded and closed her eyes, tilting her head forward. May did the same as she put a hoof around Pinkamena. The two mares' horns touched and began to glow. Suddenly they disappeared as the front and back doors were knocked in. Ponies stormed in and looked everywhere... but found nothing. May looked out the broken window of the run-down home and saw no signs that anypony knew they were here. She turned and trotted into the center of the living room where the other two were. "Thank you both," said the pink mare. "You don't know much this--" "Look... You better stop this killing business right now." "May, I'm--" "Just... Stop it," said May. Pinkamena closed her mouth and nodded, sighing. "How long must we wait here?" asked Dawn. "The princess will find out about this soon," said Pinkamena. "I'm guessing she'll arrive here within the hour." She paused. "This looks like the end for me..." She turned and headed over to a burnt couch and laid down on it. "Guess, I'll just wait for her..." May and Dawn looked at each other before heading off to think of the next step. A Royal Guard ran into the throne room and halted to a stop before bowing. "Princess." Celestia and Luna eyed each other. "What is it?" asked Luna. "You know how you told us to watch Miss Pie?" Celestia got up from her throne. "Pinkie? What happened?" "It appears she's, uh... killed again." Luna gasped. "Sister... What are we to--" "I'm going to see her." "Sister, please--" "Luna..." interrupted Celestia. "Let Twilight and her friends know. They may wish to visit her, too... before..." Luna closed her mouth and nodded. "I'll do it right now," she said, getting up and leaving the room. "Oh, Pinkie..." said Celestia. "What have you done?" > A Painful Loss > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight burst through the doors and into the throne room, tears in her eyes. "Wh-What're you going to do?" she asked, stopping at the stairs. Celestia got up and trotted down the stairs, putting a hoof on Twilight. "I... may need to lock her up." "Lock her up?" asked Twilight. "F-For how long?" "It is unsure... Could be forever..." Twilight gasped and closed her eyes. "No..." "I will let you go to her. Say good-bye." Twilight looked at Celestia and nodded. "Okay." Pinkamena trotted into the abandoned kitchen and looked at a few stray knives on the counter. May trotted up to her. "What are you thinking about?" she asked. Pinks sighed. "Worse comes to worse... I'll just end it." May gasped and slapped her across the face. "I don't wanna hear you say that. Ever!" The pink mare held her cheel and looked at May. "I-I'm sorry..." May hugged her. "ust try to get through this... Please... I need you. I love you." Pinkamena smiled. "I-I love you, too. And... I'll do my best to make this work." May smiled and nodded. Dawn came into the room. "Hey... T-Twilight's trotting around outside looking for us.. Should I, uh..." May nodded. "Let them in." Dawn smiled. "Okay." She left the room and went to the front door, opening it slightly. "Pssst... Twilight..." she whispered. The purple unicorn stopped and looked towards the abandoned house. "Huh?" "PSSSSST..." urged Dawn. "In here..." Twilight turned to the house and trotted over to it. "Dawn? So, this is where you girls a--" She was cut off as Dawn pulled her in, slamming the door shut. "Did anypony follow you?" asked May, entering the room from the kitchen. "No. I', alone." May nodded as Pinkamena came out. "H-Hey, Twi..." The purple mare went over to her and hugged her tightly. "Oh, Pinks... I'm sorry it came to this." The pink mare nodded. "So am I." The two mares broke the hug. "Shall I bring the others?" asked Twilight. Pinks looked at May. "I'd like to see them." May smiled and nodded. "Okay... Bring 'em." Twilight nodded and her horn lit up. She then disappeared in a flash of purple light. Pinks hugged Fluttershy. "This is just terrible," said Fluttershy, breaking the hug. "There's nothing you can do?" "Celestia gave her one more chance," said May. "It's over." Applejack hung her head in sadness. "Oh, darn. As don't believe this is happenin'." Pinkamena's ear drooped. "I... I have to... throw up," she said, running down the hall and turning the corner, heading for the bathroom. Dawn sighed. "I... I'll go check on her," she said, heading down the hall. May smiled. "Thanks." Dawn disappeared down the hall as Trixie sat on the couch with Kat. "We've come so far just to end up here?" asked Trixie. "It's not fair!" Kat rubbed her back. "None of us like this. But it's what has to happen." May sighed and nodded. "If it means helping her..." Dawn trotted down the hall. "Where's that bathroom again?" Suddenly a door opened and a pink mare stepped out into the hall. "Oh, Pinks, I..." She cut herself off. "What the f--" "I'm willing to try anything," said May when suddenly the sound of Dawn screaming could be heard from the hall. All the ponies quickly stood up, May being the fastest. "Dawn?" she asked, running into the hall. "DAWN!!!" The group followed her down the hall until the rounded the corner and stopped dead in their tracks. "DAWN!!!!" yelled May as she ran over and knelt beside the bleeding mare, holding her in her forelegs. Dawn had a large cut across her stomach and chest, blood everywhere. "M... May?" "Oh, sister, I'm sorry..." cried May, tears streaming down her face. "Sister?!" asked the others, shocked. "May... It's... It's not..." "It's not what?" sobbed May. Dawn winced and groaned. "Do... Do you remember... that song... our mother... sang to us... to help us sleep?" May sniffled and nodded. "Yeah... Of course..." "Could you... sing it... for me? I'd like to... hear it... before I... d... d..." May nodded as her tears stained her sister's coat. "I-I..." She sniffled. "I-I see... skies... of blue... And c... clouds of white..." she sang, gently rocking Dawn back and forth. "Bright bless... ed day... Dark, sacred... n-night..." She began sobbing harder now. "A-A-And I think to myself..." Tears trickled down Dawn's cheeks as her eyes began to close. "What a wonder... WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!!!" May sobbed as Dawn's eyes finally closed as her last breath escaped her mouth. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" screamed May, holding her sister's dead body. "NOOOO!!!! No.... No... Not you, too..." She held her sister's body closer and continued sobbing. Pinkamena was at the far end of the hall, watching with tears streaming her own face. She slowly started trotting over to the group. May looked over and saw her. "GET OUT OF HERE!!!" she cried. "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!" Pinkie stopped and gasped, tears pouring from her eyes as she sniffled. "What?" "I HATE YOU!!!! I NEVER WANNA SEE YOU AGAIN!!!!" Pinkamena took a step back. "JUST GO!!!" The pink mare turned and ran down the hall and into a dining room, crying as she sat down at the table. May looked down at her sister's body and ran a hoof over her face. "I'll... I-I'll give you a... a proper burial... One you deserve..." She sniffled again as Twilight came over and knelt beside her. "May... I'm so sorry..." she said sincerely, tears in her own eyes. May nodded. "We... W-We n-need to... bury her..." Twilight nodded. "We will, May... We will..." May sniffled again. "Could you... give me a minute?" The unicorn patted May's shoulder and got up, turning to the others. "Come on, girls. Let's give her some time alone with... her sister..." The others took one last look before leaving with Twilight. May cradled her sister and continued singing the song. > PART 3: FINALE - INTRO > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoy the fic, bronies and pegasisters PART 3 FINALE "Some things are just impossible to let go." Here is the epic conclusion to "The Pinkamena Series". Questions answered and tears shed... Get ready for the finale to Season One of my Pinkamena Series. > The Murderous Pink Mare > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- May tossed the shovel aside and dropped to the ground. "Dawn... I'm so sorry," she said, sniffling. She laid a couple flowers on the dirt mound in front of her. "I should've gone with you, or... never have gone out with Pinkie." She wiped her eyes. "It was bound to end bad, wasn't it? Going out with a murderer..." Pinkamena slammed the table. "Stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID!" She held her forehead. "What have I done? If only I had..." Tears filled her eyes. "DAMMIT!!!" Kat trotted up to May and sat down beside her. "How you holdin' up?" May looked at her briefly before looking back at the make-shift grave. "Not good. She was my only family..." "May, I'm so sorry. Must feel awful... Which is why I want you to know that... we're all here for you, okay? We're gonna help you through this." May sniffled and smiled weakly. "Thank you." Pinkamena let out a yell and pushed all the debris off the table, knocking it to the floor. "Well, that's some temper..." said a familiar voice. Pinks gasped and her ears perked. "That voice." May headed back inside and went into the living room. Twilight had used her magic so that the TV in the room had power. The news was on. "Anything about Pinkie?" asked Kat. Twilight shook her head. "No... Just the asylum fire." May sat down on the couch and watched it. "Breaking news..." said the news reporter mare. "Recent investigations of the bodies has revealed a surprising and somewhat disturbing fact..." May leaned in, intrigued. "Who's there?" asked Pinkamena, looking around the large dining room. "Is that you?" "Mmm.... Perhaps," said the voice with a giggle. "Stop playing games!" "It had been reported that one of the bodies is missing. One to have believed to have been burned in the fire..." "SHOW YOURSELF!!!" yelled Pinkamena. Just then a pink mare tackled Pinkamena to the floor. "Hiya," she said with a cheerful tone. Pinkamena gasped. "You." "Cherry Berry Pie," said the news reporter as a picture of a pink unicorn appeared on screen. "Cherry is the sister of Pinkamena Diane Pie, the former killer recently released from this same asylum. Cherry is on the loose and considered to be extremely dangerous." May gasped. "Pinks isn't the killer." She got up and ran down the hall. "May!" yelled Applejack. "Get back here!" The red unicorn ran down the hall and saw the dining room doors open. She ran inside and looked around. "Pinkie?" she asked. Cherry grinned and stood up. She and Pinkamena were behind the table, opposite of May. "Well... If it isn't May. Just the mare I wanted to see." The doors slammed shut and the lock broke. May gasped and jumped slightly. "How, sis?" asked Pinkamena. "How'd you escape? Last I saw you you were in your cell." The padded room door opened and the doctor stood in the doorway. "I escaped," answered the unicorn. "It was fairly easy..." The doctor pushed a button on the wall, sounding an alarm. "SHE GOT OUT!!!" he yelled. "SOMEPONY HE--" A unicorn mare popped up next to him and drove her hoof deep in his mouth. The colt gurgled as he choked on her hoof, soon dropping dead. "I admit," said Cherry. "That explosive barrel had me worried. I almost broke a sweat." The guards all shot beams at her. "Oh, shit." She rolled out of the way and dove behind the guards and held one in front of her. The barrel exploded, knocking the guards and Cherry away. The floors and ceilings crumbled and collapsed. When the smoke cleared, Cherry threw the bloody body of the guard off of her, coughing. She stood up and stretched before looking around at the wreckage. After coughing some more, she took off. "I escaped that fire and then set my sights on you..." she said, looking at Pinkamena. "...sister." "Me?" asked the pink mare. "Remember what you said to me when I was a foal?" asked Cherry. "You said we'd be together forever. That you'd always be there for me. So... I killed all those that dared come between you and me. That first one? That was practice." Cherry stepped knocked a mare into an alley and held her against the wall with her magic. "Please... L-Let me go," whimpered the mare. "I-I won't tell anypony... I promise." "Hmm... Wanna know something cool?" asked Cherry. "Wh... What?" asked the mare, tears falling down her cheeks. "I don't care." She gripped the mare's right foreleg with her magic and fore hooves before yanking. There was a sickening snap before she yanked again. The mare tried to scream, but Cherry held her mouth shut. May trotted through the streets, keeping an eye out for anything pink. May looked at Pinkie. "That... That was..." Cherry laughed. "You really have no faith in my sister, do you?" "Of course I do." "Do you?" asked Cherry. "You know the most recent victim? The one you supposedly caught her at?" May gasped. He blocked her path. "You know you want it..." Pinkamena kneed him in the groin, causing him to let go. He stumbled backwards as Pinkamena backed up to the opposite end of the alley. "You bitch," groaned the colt. The pink mare turned around and bumped into a cloaked mare. "Oh, I'm... sorry." Pinkamena left the alley. The cloaked mare held out a knife and walked up to the colt with a grin. Pinkamena suddenly heard a commotion in the alley and looked over her shoulder. She saw the cloaked mare dart out in a hurry. The pink mare hesitated but went back to the alley and found the colt laying dead in a pool of blood. She covered her mouth and knelt down, poking him. "Please, don't be dead..." she whimpered. She suddenly heard hoof steps approaching and stood up. A purple mare found herself at the alley. May eyed Pinkamena. "I tried to tell you..." whimpered the pink mare. "You framed your sister?" asked May. "Framed her?" asked Cherry. "No... She was only in the wrong place at the wrong time." She held out her knife. "I've killed the others... including your sister..." May gasped. "Now, it's your turn." May backed up against the door, whimpering. > The Finale > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cherry began to move around the table. May did the same so as to stay as far away from her as possible. The magenta unicorn grinned and used her magic to crack the table in half before darting forward. May yelled and threw a chair at her with magic. The chair hit Cherry and made her skid across the floor. She threw the chair aside and glared at May. "A chair? Is that the best you got?" she asked. May backed away and fired a magic blast at her. The killer teleported to the side, dodging it. "Nope," chuckled Cherry, instantly teleporting in front of May and punching her across the face. The red mare stumbled and fell into the debris of the table. Pinkamena sat up and watched, still in shock of seeing her sister. May saw this. "Pinkie... HELP ME!!!" she yelled as Cherry grabbed her leg with magic and dragged her across the floor before throwing her into the wall. The pink mare shook away her shock an blinked before looking at the fight. "May? Ch... Cherry?" she asked softly. Cherry raised May up off the ground, her back against the wall, and punched her in the stomach. "That's for trying to take my sister from me!" she yelled. May yelped in pain as her attacker raised the knife. May gasped and shot Cherry's hoof with magic. The knife flew out of her possession and landed on the floor. "No matter," said Cherry. "I don't need my knife to kill you." She punched the red mare again. Harder. May choked. "Why are you doing this? I thought you wanted your sister to be happy...." "I do," said Cherry. "But she belongs with me and I'm NOT letting you ruin it." "But... I-I love her..." said May on the verge of tears. Pinkamena gasped, seeing that May still loved her. "May." she said softly. "I don't care about your emotions, May," spat Cherry. "This is all your fault. You took her from me with your talk of love... Pathetic." "Don't you love your sister?" "That's different. She's my sister." She grinned and her horn glowed, choking May. "Now, it's time for you to die." May began gasping and choking, doing everything she could for some air. She thought she was about to die when suddenly... "Sister..." Cherry stopped choking May and looked over. Pinkamena was standing at the far wall. "Be with you in minute," said Cherry. "I just have to kill this bitch." "No..." Cherry looked confused. "No?" "No... You don't have to kill her, because... I choose you." Cherry went wide-eyed and May gasped, a tear falling from her eye/ "But... She's seen me. She knows what we do." "So? We can keep her as a sex slave or kill her together later." "P-Pinkie?" asked May, crying. Cherry smiled and dropped her. Pinkamena smiled. "Come here, sis." Cherry then trotted over to her. "Sister... Finally... We're together again." Pinks smiled and rubbed Cherry's cheek. "I thought I'd lost you years ago." Cherry shoo her head. "You'll never lose me." Pinkamena sniffled as she hugged her. Cherry hugged back. May stumbled to her hooves and saw Pinkamena reach into her own mane. "Oh, sis..." said Cherry... "I love you more than anything." She let out a gasp when she felt something stick her in the chest. Tears streamed Pinkie's face as Cherry looked down at the knife in her chest. She then looked up as Pinkamena pulled it out and dropped it. The two mares dropped to the floor Pinkie cradling Cherry in her forelegs. "You..." said Cherry weakly. "You k-killed me... Why?" Pinkamena sniffled. "You were out of control..." she cried. "I had to." "But..." wheezed Cherry. "You said we'd... always... be... together..." Pinkamena sobbed openly. "I know, sis. I know." "You were supposed... to take... care of me..." A tear rolled down her cheek. "Oh, sis..." sobbed the pink mare. "You know I love you... more than... anything... right?" Cherry chuckled weakly. "You... chose her over me..." "You were killing innocents... I don't do that anymore, and... I'm sorry..." Cherry coughed and looked at May. "She must... love you... a lot." Tears fell from May's eyes as she was reminded of seeing Dawn die. Cherry reached up and touched Pinkie's face. The pink mare touched the hoof with her own. "Sis... I'm sorry... I do love you..." Cherry closed her eyes and smiled. "I know." She opened her eyes half-way. "I love... you, too." The pink mare sobbed harder now, tears hitting her sister's face. "It's all my fault! I made you into this!" She paused. "I just wanted us to be together..." "And we were..." wheezed Cherry, on the verge of death. "We were... ha... happy." Pinkamena clenched her eyes and held her sister closer. "I'LL MISS YOU... SO MUCH!!!" "I'll... m-miss... you... t-too..." said Cherry, a few tears leaving her eyes when she exhaled, her boy going limp. Pinkamena gasped, holding her sister tighter. "NOOO!!! NOO!!! NOOOO!!!! CHERRY!!!" The others finally managed to break through the door and entered. They all stopped when they saw Pinkamena, cradling a dead mare. "SISTER!!! I'M SO SORRY!!!" She looked her sister in the eyes. "COME BACK!!! COME BACK!!!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" She stroked her mane. "PLEASE... I NEED YOU!!! I LOVE YOU!!!" May slowly trotted over to her and sat down beside her. "Pinks, I'm... sorry..." "WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS??!!!" She gently shook her sister. "WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!" May hugged Pinkamena, who hugged back. The red unicorn then looked at the magenta one. "Look..." she sad. "She's smiling." Pinkamena sniffled and nodded. "Yeah...She got what she wanted. To see me again." "We'll... bury her properly... for you... Okay?" Pinks nodded. "I just... can't believe I... killed her..." She sniffled again. "What have I done?" "You saved us," said May. "After she was through with me, she'd have gone after the others." Pinkamena shook her head. "Still..." May sighed. "Come on... Let's go bury her." The pink mare stood up and levitated Cherry onto her back."Okay..." May smiled weakly and she and Pinkamena made their way out of the room. The others watched them, their faces wet from crying. > Epilogue > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia landed in Manehattan near the abandoned house. She folded her wings and trotted towards the house. She suddenly heard voices out back. Pinkamena was knelt in front of a grave. "Oh, sis... I'm sorry... I wish there had been another way, but..." She sighed. "I love you and... I will never forget you." She laid a flower on the dirt mound as Celestia rounded the corner. Twilight saw her and trotted over to her. "Princess..." Celestia looked at the graves. "What happened?" Twilight sighed. "May's sister was killed." Celestia gasped. "And... the other grave?" "Pinkie's sister. She was the killer all along." "So, it wasn't Pinkamena?" asked Celestia. Twilight shook her head as Celestia sighed, relieved. "Thank goodness." She then trotted over to the group, who all looked up at her an bowed. Pinkie looked up at her, tears in her eyes. The princess knelt down and smiled. "Hello, Pinkie," she said kindly. "Hey," was all the pink mare said. "So, I hear it wasn't you, but..." "My... sister..." "I am terribly sorry for you loss," said Celestia. "She may have done bad things, but... that doesn't make this any less tragic." "Thanks, Princess." Celestia smiled. "Now... if you will excuse me... I have something to clear up with the Royal Guard." Everypony nodded before Celestia turned and trotted off. She then unfolded her wings and took off. Twilight waved by to her when she suddenly stopped. She then turned her hoof so she could look at the bottom, sighing. "Something wrong?" asked Rainbow Dash, trotting over to her. Twilight quickly lowered her hoof. "Nope." Dash looked back at Pinkie and May. "This has been a terrible day." "Yeah," said Twilight."It has." No one spoke for the entire train ride back. Later that night, every pony was asleep in their beds. Pinkamena and May were back at there house in Manehattan. Twilight was in her library. Rarity, Carousel Boutique. Applejack was home at her farm and Rainbow Dash was at her cloud home. Fluttershy was sleeping in her cottage. Twilight began to stir and then sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked at the clock. Eight-o-clock in the PM. She groaned and got up,heading over to her desk and sitting down. There was a creaking sound behind her and she turned. Nothing. She turned back around and set her hoof on the table, looking at the "P"on the bottom. Psyche slashes Twilight across the chest. "MOVE AGAIN AND I'LL GO FOR YOU NECK!" Twilight grabbed her chest. "AHHHHH!!!" Tears filled her eyes. "STOP!!! PLEASE!!!" "YOU KILLED MY PET! NOW YOU REPLACE HER! WELCOME TO SLAVERY BITCH!" Psyche roared in Twilight's ear before biting it. "O-O-OWWWWW!!!" cried Twilight. "I... I DIDN'T..." "What was that 'pet'?" "I DIDN'T MEAN TO!!! I'M S-S-S-SORRY!!!!" "Oh, you're sorry!? Well, I payed good money for her and now she's gone so I guess you're free!" she roared as she grabs Twilight's right forehoof and carved a "P" into it. Twilight whimpered. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Twilight closed her eyes and sighed, remembering the last part. "Oh~ Are we keeping her, Psy?" Ash asked, petting Twilight's head. Twilight continued licking. "Isn't that right, pet?" asked Psyche. Twilight nodded hesitantly while still licking. "But we will leave her to her friends for a time so she may enjoy her last moments with them as a free pony. Isn't that kind of me, pet?" Psy coos, gesturing for Twilight to come and be petted by her. Twilight turned from Ash an sat next to Psyche. "Yes, mistress, Thank you." Psyche's pets seem to be doing something for Twilight for she starts to lean into them, like she can't get enough. "And it looks like this whole Pinkamena thing's gonna hit the fan soon, so good-bye for now, my pet. And tell any pony of your master's intentions to come back... I'll feed you your own tongue." "I won't, mistress. I promise." With that, Psyche and Ash left, leaving Twilight alone in the dark streets of Ponyville. Twilight traced the "P" with her other hoof when suddenly her ears perked to the sound of a light creak. "Twilight..." said a familiar voice. The unicorn turned around and gasped.
