> Left 4 Dead: Equestria > by Gone now > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The beginning. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a bright clear day in Ponyville, where the school foals were wondering if their teacher would murder them during a play set in the medieval times and Lyra was being trialed for having feelings of an almost human nature, which will not do. Of course, we will not discus those events. There are actually many things that we shall discus. Near the town square is Twilight Sparkle's castle. We see her with her friends and Spike in the room that has a map of Equestria. As they already know (but experienced twice), the map shows their cutie marks at a spot in Equestria. This time, however, the cutie marks are in various locations. Fluttershy's cutie mark is located just above Manehattan, Twilight Sparkle's is directly in Manehattan, and Applejack's and Pinkie's are located in Baltimare. "Why is our cutie marks spread out in various locations around Manehattan?" asks Rainbow Dash, whose cutie mark is also in Baltimare. Twilight Sparkle replies with "I have no idea, but Rarity's cutie mark isn't on the map. Maybe she isn't needed for this friendship problem?" "That sounds like good luck," says Rarity. "I have an order to complete in three days! Plus, somepony hid all the knives so I can't stab anypony! (suspiciously insane laughter)" "Ignore her," yells Pinkie Pie, the joyful of the bunch. "Her mind was lost after she read a story! It had the name of a baked good, so it must be a good story!" After an intense debate of what the whole multi-location thing meant and telling Pinkie Pie what that story was about, the ponies decided to exit the castle. However, when they all left the room, the cutie marks gone static, only to reappear at Canterlot... > No Tolerance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fourteen days have passed since the infection. Since then, multiple cities in Equestria has been completely overran, starting with the Crystal Empire. On the rooftop of an apartment in Manehattan on Trotty Street our four survivors, who managed to exit the infected filled streets. The survivors are Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle, Trixie Lulamoon, and Button Mash (this takes place 5 years after Season 5, O.K?). The roof has been morphed into an attempt to get the attention of a helicopter. While the helicopter passed over the city, you could hear Button Mash yell "I think one of the zombies was my mom! Sorry Mom!" "I'm a zombie now, I don't know you!!!" yells the zombie. "Never mind!" After the helicopter passes over, you can hear hoovesteps on the wooden floor. There were too much hoovestep noises to figure out what kind of zombies there was down there, as the infection mutated to form more dangerous zombies. Unicorn and alicorn magic couldn't detect the zombies, as their brains were too messed up. Plus, since the magic also couldn't detect corpses, ponies assumed they were dead. "What was that?" asks Button. "Sounds like there are zombies in the apartments," replies Armor. "And we are heading down there?!?" asks Trixie. "There is no other way," Shining Armor says. "Let's get it over with." So half of them grab shotguns and the other two use a sub machine gun. When prepared, the opened the door and braised for the infected to come. To their surprise, only ten zombie ponies were on the floor, but there were three more floors to go. On the table, there was a box of unopened cereal, which is actually called "Apple Jacks". When Button Mash saw it, he seemed very happy. "Whoa, Apple Jacks! If there weren't zombies around, I would have a bowl!" "Button, you have no idea how old that is," says Twilight Sparkle. You could almost hear Button Mash sound sad. But as the made it to the second floor, they noticed that there was a hole in the floor, and in the hole were zombies. They know that where there are a bunch of zombies, there is bound to be a... "Dasher!" Yells Shining Armor. Right when the dasher jump out of the hole, the four survivors started shooting at it. At some point, Twilight lands a shot, which ends up killing it. But because she had a shotgun, the blood and gore would go all over the place, and a majority of it landed on Twilight Sparkle. Button Mash has stopped moving due to extreme shock. Sure, he is a gamer that is bound to play games with blood and gore, but he is not used to seeing it in real life. "Come on, Button Mash! Trixie has little time for this!" The group of survivors managed to reach the exit of the apartments, but they see that there are still more zombies. They see "Clover's Groceries", a salon of some sort, an Orient styled restaurant, a dairy store, a cider store, and TV store that looks like a crazed lunatic smashed the front window with a hammer while saying "Goodbye, blue sky!" They also see a few corpses and a couple cars. "All right, some vehicles," Shining Armor says, happily. "Now if I can hot wire it, we can get to 'Tolerance Hospital' quickly!" Unfortunately for the group, when Armor touched the car, an alarm went off. Because of the noise, fifty runners started heading towards them, as well as a partier, which can attract zombies with confetti, and a dragger, which uses a form of lasso that it can keep making. They quickly became surrounded, so they start fighting the horde flank-to-flank. After five minutes and a confetti mess on Trixie, the four finally managed to survive the attack. "Anypony need to use their medical supplies?" asks Shining. "Trixie does, due to that pink thing." "Nice going, brother!" says Twilight. "Hey everypony, look," exclaims Mash. "The safe house! Right in the Trotty Street Subway Station!" "The T.S.S.S., that is where we need to go. Come on ponies, we are heading to the subway," says Shining Armor. "Trixie doesn't trust wheels," Trixie says silently. When all four enter the safe house, Button Mash locks the door so no infected creatures can enter the room. Fortunately for Trixie, there are little to no trains in sight. In fact, the only trains in the subways are destroyed. She obviously didn't need to see that, as she is now thinking she is developing siderodromophobia, or the fear of trains. But unfortunately for the group, there were still many zombies in the subway. Upon entering the subway basement, they saw that the only way to the other side was to walk on the tracks. There was also a lot of rubble on the tracks, which causes them to worry about the chances of them seeing light again. After a twenty-seven minute walk and thirty-one dead zombies, and a dasher pouncing on Shining Armor, the group found some more weapons. They see an assault rifle, a fully automatic shotgun, and a sniper rifle. They pick up their preferred weapon and advanced through the subway. A few minutes later, they see a generator that needs to be turned on in order to open the door. Right next to the switch, to their luck, was a turret and a couple of Molotov bottles. They used medical supplies on the ponies who needed it, refilled their ammo, and pressed the button when ready. A loud siren went off, and soon sixty-four zombies were running towards them. After three fourths of the zombies died, they heard pounding sounds on the floor. "Bulk!!!" yells Button Mash. Because Button yelled, the bulk set its sights on him. The group had to work together to take it down, so they started firing all at once. Twilight even threw a gas can at it in hopes somepony shot it so it went off. After three minutes and ten magazines later, the bulk, and all zombies were defeated. Not only that, but the door finally opened. When the door opened, the group agrees to drop all weapons and run, since the safe room was in a pawn shop. Right when they exited the generator room, a dragger gets a hold of Twilight Sparkle, and is dragging her towards an alarmed car. "Don't worry, Twilight," yells Trixie. Even though the whole group decided to drop all weapons and run, Trixie managed to hide a sniper rifle using a cloaking spell. She worried that something bad might happen, and this is one of those sniper scenarios. She takes aim, and right when Twilight was three yards away from the car, Trixie manages to land a headshot. Because of the rifle shot, a horde of infected starts charging at them. "Go for a full sprint to the pawn shop!" yells Shining Armor. Trixie drops her rifle and joins the group in their sprint. They see that the safe room is located in the back of the pawn shop, and notice that only runners are chasing after them. When they finally reach the shop, Shining closes the front door in hopes that it will slow the infected down. After closing the door, he dashes to the safe room to close that door, and right when he done that, the infected busted the windows and front door down. They are safe for that moment, as the infected aren't strong enough to destroy safe room doors. In the safe room, they are relieved to see that there are weapons in the room, as well as ammo and medical supplies. They open the door, and see that there is a place that sells hay to those too lazy to just put hay in their ovens at home. They also see an explosives store, which has been looted and now has explosive barrels in front of it, just asking for it to be shot. The four walks past the buildings and finds a lift that leads them to a warehouse entitled "Assault Warehouse". "Anypony else having a bad feeling about this?" asks Sparkle. "Well, you are an alicorn, right? Can't you just fly onto that balcony and use your magic to lift me up there, too, and the others can use their magic to lift each other up there?" asks Button. The group agrees that Button Mash made a good decision and and took his advice. If they used the lift, they would have attracted multiple zombies, as the thing was LOUD. Because of luck, there still wasn't any zombies to be seen. But they were wondering if their luck was going to run out. After exiting the warehouse, which had dead bodies of counter-terrorists, they found an opened manhole that obviously leads to the sewers. The group decides to go in and take a look around. Because of logic, there weren't any zombies in there. They started wondering if all the zombies are dead. They advanced forward until they saw a ladder leading out of the sewer. When they got out, they noticed that there are multiple infected surrounding the entrance. They saw newly infected ponies, a couple zombies having a fight, and even some just wondering around. They decide it is best to throw a rock at a fence to get the horde out of the way, and, unsurprisingly, it worked. With the zombies distracted, the survivors could just run to the entrance, worry free. The close the door to rest for a minute, as they did nearly non stop walking for an hour. They opened the door, as there were barely any zombies in the sewer, and prepared for the path in front of them. As they thought, there were zombies in their path. They opened fire using their pistols, as they have no idea how much they might need their other weapons. They went down the hall until they found a staircase heading to floor two. They found out that floor two was the kitchen and cafeteria floor, as there were a high amount of zombies in the cafeteria area. They didn't have enough zombie lunch mares for the zombies, because some zombies started attacking each other. "This is how our lunch lines were like when we were young, right Twily?" asks Armor quietly. Unfortunately, the zombies in the cafeteria heard him. The group prepared for a fight when one of the zombies went up to them. But instead of attacking, the zombie gave them it's lunch money. It says "It's a secret from everypony." The zombie goes back to the room, and the group heads to the third floor, and see that it is an administration room. There were still zombies in the waiting room, and various rooms had infected doctors, one of them being Doctor Horse. The Doctor is also there, but he is obviously pretending to be a zombie. "Must... find... Slethteeuh..." mutters the Doctor. They ignore him, and start firing at the zombies. In what seems like a miracle, they miss Doctor Whooves. They run past him to reach the fourth floor, which is an I.C.U. With some of the rooms, the group thought it was the insane patients floor. They find an elevator, and calls it down. There was a loud noise, and soon, the zombies from floor two bolted after them. There was only thirty, but they worried that more might come. After one minute, the elevator came, but there were still a few zombies left. Again, they missed Doctor Whooves, as he came up to make the zombies think he was one of them. "Come on, everypony," says Trixie. "Trixie is going to make this elevator go to floor twenty-eight!" The rest go into the elevator, with a zombie hoof in the elevator. From out of nowhere, the Doctor appears in the elevator. He takes the hoof, and enters the TARDIS to go to a different location. After another minute, the elevator reached its location, and there were a few construction zombies, as the floor was under construction. Since it was under construction, there were tons of ways to fall of the building. There wasn't much zombies though, so there wasn't any problems with getting to the safe room. With the roof so close to them, they thought that there was little room for error. They killed ten zombies in their way, and found a radio. They figured it was able to call for rescue, but only Button Mash could operate one like that. So Button Mash puts on the headphones to make less noise. "Hello? Is this another survivor talking?" asks the pony on the radio. "Um, actually, I have three other ponies with me. We have been fighting our way to here from Trotty Street, and we would like to be rescued," Button Mash replies. "O.K, I am ten minutes away from here, would you be able to wait that long?" "Oh, we probably killed all the zombies in the hospital, and we locked the safe room door, so we should be fine!" There was a brief silence before Button pressed a button, which activated a spotlight on the roof. The group heard pounding on the safe room door because of the light. After five minutes, against all odds, the infected managed to break the safe room doors. There was probably a hundred of them, and the floors are built to hold two tons. The survivors got into a defensive position, and opened fire on the infected. When they managed to kill one hundred zombies, the helicopter landed on the roof. "Come on! This thing can't run forever," says the pilot. Because of the helicopter making multiple noises, every zombie in the area started coming to the hospital. The hospital is thirty floors tall, so they didn't have to worry much. But the survivors still sprinted towards the chopper. When the survivors reached the helicopter, the zombies made it to the twenty-fifth floor. "What's with the hold up?" asks Armor. "I am just eating this cookie," says the pilot. Shining Armor sees that the zombies made it on to the roof, so he yells "Put down the cookie!" The pilot finally puts down the cookie and flies off. The zombies almost got the chopper, as one touched the rail. But it could not grab it because it isn't a human. Soon, the survivors made it away from the hospital, but realize they are still far from their destination... > Intermission Coarse > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our four survivors, Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor, Trixie Lulamoon, and Button Mash, have crash landed into another town. It turns out the pilot had the disease and turned after they left Tolerance Hospital. Button Mash had to shoot the zombie pilot and the entire group had to use the parachutes in the helicopter to get down. They ended up landing where the helicopter crashed. They could even see the corpse of the pilot, with a bullet in the cranium. "So I shoot the pilot, and we are in a new city," says Button Mash "Well, we have no idea what this place is called," replies Twilight Sparkle. "And because of the crash, some infected might be coming for us." They saw five zombies coming towards them, and the only other weapon they can pick up, since they had to drop all their weapons except their pistols, is a shotgun. With those zombies coming closer to them, they decide to be patient and waste them. After ten seconds, the zombies were finally close enough to be shot at, and the survivors didn't waste time. They fired at the zombies, with Twilight Sparkle managing to kill two zombies in one shot. The group decides to go through the alley in hopes of finding a sub machine gun, but find that they need to enter a warehouse. They find a pipe bomb in there, and an exit. They take the exit and see that there is multiple infected on the streets. They opened fire on the infected, as a majority of them were close, and find out they are about to deal with another bulk. "Stand your ground," says Shining Armor, the leader of the group. They started firing at the bulk when it knocked away Button Mash. Button ended up hitting the side of a building upon being flung. The survivors kept firing at the bulk while Button struggled to get back up. When the bulk was about to attack another survivor, Mash shot it in the head and killed it with a pistol. The bulk landed on the ground and the survivors continued firing at the zombies. When the zombies finally stopped coming, they had to help Button Mash on their way to a safe room, if there is one. They walk through the city when they see a military door blocking the way. Trixie shoots the explosives, which causes a fire, and wait for the fire to die down. With the assumption that zombies are coming, they positioned Mash on a minigun that was on a truck. When he saw infected, he opened fire, which caused more infected to come. He notices a partier coming with the zombies, so he shoots it in the stomach. The shot resulted in a confetti explosion, which landed on the zombies. As a result, the zombies starts attacking each other. The survivors used it as an opportunity to run until they reached a safe house in a warehouse. When they closed the door, Twilight Sparkle opens the medical kit so they can heal Button. "Stimpaks!" Twilight exclaims. "Who knew they put stimpaks in these things!" She uses it on Button, which healed him and repaired the bones that got harmed. When they got prepared, they went outside to deal with the road ahead. They see a truck depot with a truck that is needed to be brought down so they can survive. They go to the switch that pulls down the truck, and when they do, zombies rush to them. "They seem upset about what happened at Tolerance," says Button Mash. "It doesn't matter, Button," says Trixie. "They already seemed upset at Trixie's performances." After five minutes of non-stop firing, the platform stopped. The truck isn't moving. They turned it back on and the truck came back down. After five more minutes, the truck finally came down so the survivors could hop in. Upon clearing a majority of the horde, they got in the zombie proof truck and drive off. They are heading to the direction of Fillydelphia, another infected city. Little do they know that there is another survivor... > Infection Toll > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The truck the group used in the previous chapter? It ran out of fuel. So now they are outside of Fillydelphia, their next stop. In front of them is a destroyed bridge, and in the pit were zombies. The group had no idea about the zombies, but they still grabbed the weapons in the truck they used. They advanced forward to see that there were zombies in the pit under the bridge. "Seems like we will never get a break," says Twilight Sparkle. "Did you forget about the sewers back in Manehattan?" asks Shining Armor. "Yeah, and so did the writer of this fiction for a second." replies Trixie. After a while, and a recovery from a fourth wall break, they decide to shoot at all zombies in the pit. There wasn't too much problems, since they were using shotguns. Armor even yelled something about his shotgun being his boomstick. After the zombies died, along with a dasher, the survivors walked down the side of the bridge into the pit and used the ladder up the other part of the bridge. In front of them is Fillydelphia Tunnel. "This is the tunnel," says Armor. "There is a lot of destruction here, and on the other side might have a way in to Fillydelphia," replies Button Mash. "I think you are right, Button." The group goes into the tunnel in hopes that Button really is correct. After a ten minute walk, they heard banging on a wall. They saw a military pony attempt to get in, but can't because of a password set in a meeting fifteen minutes ago. The group decides to walk around them, since the town is right next to them. They had to go down a ladder and go down some stairs before heading into a safe room. They opened the door leading out of the safe room to a drainage factory. There were multiple pipes that were solid, so they had no idea if it was full of water or spectra. They advanced through the pipes, as they were pretty sure this would be another one of those break periods. The pipe they chose lead them to a high area that requires a ladder to reach the bottom floor. After walking for a couple minutes, they see a door that needs a switch. They turned on the switch, and sixty-three zombies started running towards them. "The writer had to move one previous event to here because of a mistake in time, right?" asks Twilight Sparkle. There was non-stop firing for two minutes until the door finally opened. Behind the door was a bridge that they needed to cross. They crossed the bridge to enter another pipe, which lead to stairs leading to a room. They went upstairs, only to find out that there are multiple infected outside the building. "Anypony has a sniper rifle?" asks Trixie. "Nope," says the others, with Button's neck growing to reach his hat. They decide the next best thing is to run in the open while shooting the zombies. The do that while running to a workshop, which has a red caboose with a safe room in it. They bust through another window to enter what we might call a "safe train". When making it, with little challenge whatsoever, they close the door and stock up on ammo. They had made it inside of Fillydelphia. They opened the door leading to a train yard, and see that there are multiple infected, since trains create lots of noise. They found a sub machine gun in the caboose, so they could just shoot them from where they are. After the zombies got killed, the survivors advanced through the train yard. When the group made it through, they found an empty and dark street surrounded by nothing but forest. "So, is there going to be a hockey mask pony here?" asks Button. "Shut up, it isn't even Friday," replies Sparkle. There was a long walk with the debate on whether "Jason Vorhooves" is real or not when they see a cabin all alone. The four agree to check it for supplies, and find an assault rifle and an automatic shotgun. There was a T.V. with static and you could hear Button say quietly "They're here!" The survivors walk out of the cabin when they see a church with spotlights. To enter that church, ponies had to go through a cemetery. Well, our heroes did that, but find out the door is locked. Inside is a crazed pony. "Hello, this is Shining Armor, and I have a group of survivors that needs to be in here." "How do I know you won't turn when you get in here?!? I already got bit by a pony an hour ago!!! I must be immune..." "Look, buddy, you have to trust us." "Better safe than sorry... DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG!" After the crazy pony said that, he started ringing the bells to attract a horde of zombies. The survivors got into a defensive position to defend against the zombies all while the church pony was getting infected. A solid five minutes passed and all the infected got killed. Trixie proceeds to opening the door to see that the crazed lunatic turned into a dasher (somehow). Trixie fired at him (it) immediately after seeing him. The group then proceeds to shut the door behind them to prevent more zombie bites. Outside of the church were multiple zombies in sniping position, so Twilight started sniping from inside the door, so there would be no chance of a zombie reaching them. One of the creatures in the crowd she was sniping at was a gumby, who kept saying "My brain hurts!" This ended up confusing the zombies, because they didn't know where to go. Twilight manages to snipe everypony but the ones in her group and the gumby. They drop off the church balcony with their preferred weapons, go down the street, and entered a nearby building. The survivors walked towards the exit with a Molotov, and exited the building. There was a small amount of zombies, but not big enough to waste a bottle on them, so the group used pistols instead. After the zombies died, the group advanced past some buses to see a turret with sandbags. Button turns on the forklift near the turret, but a piece of concrete falls on a car, not only making a new way forward, but also an alarm. There is now a huge horde of zombies running towards them. Armor uses the turret to mow down any zombies heading towards them, and thirty seconds later, the alarm stopped. "How does that alarm go off after it got smashed?" asks Trixie. Mr. Bean might reply with "Magic." The survivors head over the car and head towards a wooden bridge with a safe room. Because of the high amount of bullets shot out of the turret, there were no zombies in the way. They even had a nice, long conversation about what they did before the infection and why Scootaloo was so scared of Rainbow Dash on December 27th, 2011. Some time had passed and soon, the safe room was in sight. The group of four gathered their supplies in the safe room and headed to Baltimare park. In the park was a house that had a radio calling for a couple with a boat. The survivors went to the radio, and like at Tolerance, had Button operate it. He dialed the number written next to the radio and waited for an answer. "Hello? Is this another group of survivors?" asks the mare on the radio. "Yes, this is Button Mash and I am with three other ponies wanting to be rescued." "O.K., here is what you need to do to call for the boat," says a stallion. "First, turn off the computer and make sure it powers down. Then, you must drop it in a twenty-three foot hole in the ground. Third, you need to bury it completely, rocks and boulders preferably. Finally, you must burn all the clothes in the pile next to you." "Why would I do that?" asks Button Mash." "We accidentally put a virus on the computer." says the mare. After Mash down all those steps were completed, there was a light on the opposite side of the river. Somehow, the light was so bright, multiple zombies saw it and are now heading towards the house. There were a couple dashers, partiers, and draggers. The partiers and draggers weren't a threat, as Twilight Sparkle still had a sniper rifle, but with the dashers, they couldn't be sniped, and they were too fast to track with a scope anyways. "Got one in my sights," says Shining Armor. Because of how close the dasher was, Armor was able to kill it with one shotgun blast. However, the second one was still on the lose, and couldn't be seen. Just then, the boat comes to rescue them without the drivers knowing about the dasher. The group heads towards the boat while worrying about the dasher when they heard a gunshot. Trixie turns around to see that Sparkle sniped the dasher. "B-but, how?" asks Trixie. Twilight replies with "First things first, I'm a marksmare." The two mares run onto the boat so they can get off the island. When all the survivors got on the boat, the boater took off. Their next destination is Baltimare...
