1-The Arrival of the Nemesis
After the Battle of the Bands, Twilight and Spike left and went home. The Rainbooms went back to doing their normal stuff. Today was Tuesday and the Rainbooms were at school. The Rainbooms and other classmates were at the gym and their gym teacher let them know about something.
“We are starting the Basketball Unit today class,” the gym teacher said. “Then we will move on to the next unit. Okay?”
The class was excited. Everyone except Fluttershy. She hated sports and knew that basketball was a very sore sport for her. Fluttershy walked over to Rarity.
“Hello, Fluttershy,” Rarity said. “Are you ready to play basketball?”
Fluttershy didn’t know what to say.
“Umm……” she started.
Rarity looked at Fluttershy confused.
“Oh yes. I forgot you don’t like sports,” Rarity expounded. “The only reason why I like sports is our team can get fancy outfits.”
“Umm…Rarity, I don’t think outfits are going to help the Rainbooms win,” Fluttershy explained. “I rather be back home playing with my animals and my B1 Battle Droid, B2-HA Super Battle Droid, and Huckleberry Hound action figures. All part of the heroic Separatist Alliance.”
“Yes. I still can’t believe you play with ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ action figures even though General Grievous is the main hero," Rarity said jumping up and down in excitement.
“Yes,” Fluttershy said very low. “I like General Grievous,”
Then the gym teacher started teaching again. “We are going to start practicing tomorrow. Now everyone...” He paused as he walked over into his closet of equipment and grabbed a rack of basketballs. “Start practicing with a ball. I want to see how good you are before we start playing,”
Everyone ran over to get the basketballs. Rainbow Dash was the first one to grab a ball and started dribbling it on the floor. Fluttershy watched everyone take the balls until she was the only one without a basketball and there was one ball left on the rack. The gym teacher looked at Fluttershy.
“Fluttershy, aren’t you going to grab a ball?” the gym teacher asked.
Fluttershy slowly walked over to the rack of basketballs. She grabbed the last one and dribbled it slowly.
In space the Decepticon Warship known as the Nemesis was floating over Earth. On the Nemesis’ hangar, Preadaking, in beast mode, was sleeping peacefully while the Nemesis was heading into Earth. Inside the Nemesis’ Bridge, Megatron, Lord of all Decepticons, Starscream, Commander of Military Operations, and Soundwave, Decepticon Communications Officer were standing on the command walkway. Megatron looked at Starscream.
“Starscream, are the coordinates right?” Megatron asked the Commander.
“Yes, my liege. I would never fail you. Why do you ask?” Starscream responded.
“Because this is going to teach you how to be a better leader Starscream!” Megatron yelled at the Commander.
“HA-HA. Sorry my liege. It’s just…” Starscream started.
“WHAT!? I trust Knock Out better than you Starscream!” Megatron growled as he walked closer to the Commander.
“Please, master! I won’t fail!” Starscream quickly begged as he was backing up.
Soundwave pointed at the Earth as the Nemesis descended into Earth’s atmosphere. Megatron stopped and faced the silent Decepticon.
“Good, Soundwave. Starscream, prep the troops for landing!” Megatron commanded the seeker.
“Yes master,” Starscream growled as he walked away a little angry.
Knock Out and Steve the Vehicon walked into the Bridge. Starscream looked at them as they passed.
“My liege, Steve has been refitted to be a standard Vehicon Trooper which transforms into a car,” Knock Out said as he bowed to Megatron.
“Good. Steve?”
Steve walked up to Megatron.
“Yes my liege?” Steve asked the Lord of the Decepticons as he bowed.
“You need to be off of the battlefield for a while. You will be the school’s janitor,” Megatron explained.
“Janitor? Doesn’t sound so hard, my liege. I get to it once we arrive,” Steve replied.
“Noted,” Megatron agreed as Breakdown, Shockwave, Skyquake, Dreadwing, and several Jet Vehicons walked in the room.
“Ah, my Decepticons,” Megatron said happily. He pointed at Breakdown. “Breakdown, since you attack very well but don’t think very well, I will make you as student!”
“A student?! But Megatron, I’m perfectly fine!” Breakdown yelled in retaliation.
Megatron glared at the blue and grey Decepticon, and Breakdown immediately backed down.
“As you wish Lord Megatron,” he said angrily.
“Good,” Megatron said as he pointed at Skyquake and Dreadwing. “Skyquake, you will be the school’s gym teacher!”
“Gym? I love gym! I love to exercise my machine gun!” Skyquake said happily.
“I think our master means teaching the kids how to play what the humans call 'sports',” Dreadwing said.
“Yes. You are not going to use your weapon against the humans,” Megatron explained to Skyquake. “Since the Autobots learn from human culture, it’s time for us to do the same!”
“Okay. Fine,” Skyquake said.
Then Skyquake walked away from Megatron. Megatron then looked at Dreadwing.
“Dreadwing, you are going to be the leader of fire department!” Megatron ordered.
“Yes, Lord Megatron!” Dreadwing said. “I live to serve you!”
Then Dreadwing walked away from the Lord of the Decepticons. Then Megatron pointed at Shockwave as they approached Canterlot High School.
“Yes, Lord Megatron?” Shockwave asked.
“You will be commanding the Nemesis in my absence since I’m going to rule this school,” Megatron ordered
“As you wish, Megatron. And about the Preadacon, what should we do with him?" Shockwave inquired.
“He and Starscream will be the teachers if someone gets in trouble,” Megatron said.
Soundwave walked over to Megatron. He pointed to the school.
“Ah, we have arrived!” Megatron said happily. "Soundwave, you will be the Biology teacher."
Soundwave nodded his head and walked to the hangar of the Nemesis. Then Megatron got on the comlink.
“Starscream, are the troops ready?” he asked.
On the Nemesis’ hangar, Starscream and 16 Jet Vehicons were standing outside with Skyquake, Preadaking, Soundwave, Breakdown, and Steve the Vehicon.
“Yes my liege. Should we bombard the school?” Starscream answered.
“No! I don’t want a bombardment Starscream. I want a complete take-over of the school!” Megatron yelled on the comlink.
“Fine. Skyquake, get the Jet Vehicons ready to…go in the school,” Starscream commanded angrily.
Skyquake glared at the small Decepticon.
“I mean—prepare the troops whenever you want Skyquake,” Starscream quickly corrected himself.
“Much better!” Skyquake yelled, as he transformed into jet mode and boosted towards Canterlot High.
“He’s not loyal!” Starscream yelled, watching as Skyquake took off for Canterlot High. “He’s a piece of scrap metal!”
He then pointed at the Jet Vehicons. “Follow Skyquake! Don’t attack or do anything! Megatron just wants you to wait until our arrival!” he commanded them.
“You heard the Commander!” yelled one of the Jet Vehicons. “TRANSFORM!”
Then all 16 Jet Vehicons transformed and followed Skyquake. Breakdown jumped off of the Nemesis, transformed into his truck mode, and drove towards the school. Steve the Vehicon and another Vehicon did the same thing as Breakdown and followed him. Starscream then faced Soundwave and Preadaking.
“Soundwave, Preadaking will remain here,” Starscream told Soundwave. “He’s too dangerous for the humans. However, this world has different colors of the humans, such as yellow and light blue skin.”
Soundwave nodded. Back inside the Bridge of the Nemesis, Knock Out was talking to Megatron.
“I have a good use of you, doctor,” Megatron explained to Knock Out.
“And what might that be, my liege?” Knock Out asked Megatron.
“HAHAHAHA! You will be the doctor of the school!”
“Yes, my liege! I shall not fail!” Knock Out said, bowing.
“To the hangar!” Megatron commanded.
Then Megatron and Knock Out walked out to the hangar of the Nemesis. Starscream and Soundwave were waiting for them.
“Don’t fail, Screamer!” Knock Out smirked as he jumped off of the Nemesis, transformed into his car mode, and drove with the other Decepticons.
“GRRRR!!” Starscream growled. “When I get my hands on Knock Out, I’ll-”
“Shut up! We are on our way to the leaders of this school!” Megatron commanded Starscream and Soundwave. “Forward Decepticons!”
Then Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave transformed into their jet modes and headed towards the Canterlot High School entrance.
Back inside the gym, Rainbow Dash just threw her basketball into the basketball hoop.
“Yes!” she said happily. “I have 53 shots already!”
Fluttershy slowly dribbled the ball as a basketball hoop was right there in the open. She threw the basketball on the backboard and she missed. The ball rolled over to Rainbow Dash’s feet. Fluttershy quickly ran over to the ball as Rainbow Dash turned around.
“Fluttershy, get your ball!” Rainbow Dash shouted angrily.
Fluttershy slowly picked up her basketball and walked back to her hoop.
“I have to get better! I can’t lose now!” Fluttershy whispered to herself.
Then the Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna came running into the gym.
“Everyone, gigantic robots from outer space have invaded the school!” Vice Principal Luna warned.
The entire class gasped including the gym teacher.
"Remain calm. Vice Principal Luna and I will take care of this!" Principal Celestia commanded as she and Luna left the gym.
At the front door Breakdown and Steve were standing there waiting with 16 Jet Vehicons. Luna and Celestia ran over to the gigantic Decepticons.
"Who are you, and what do want with this school?!" Celestia asked the Decepticons.
Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave came down from the sky and transformed into their robot modes. The looked at the two principals.
"I am Megatron, Lord of all Decepticons," Megatron said.
"Greetings, Megatron. I am Vice Principal Luna and this is my sister, Principal Celestia," Luna explained to the Decepticons.
"Greetings! I'm going to take over this school. You have just joined the Decepticon cause," Megatron explained.
Then Megatron and all of the Decepticons walked into the school as Luna and Celestia watched them. Skyquake walked to the gym as he saw the class playing with basketballs. Applejack saw the green and grey Decepticon.
"Umm...y'all...look at that!" Applejack screamed as she pointed at the Decepticon.
The entire class turned and faced Skyquake. The gym teacher walked up to him and Fluttershy was worried.
"Um, hello robotic lifeform," the gym teacher said cowardly. "W-Where are you from?"
"My name is Skyquake, and if any of you ever address me as robotic lifeform again, you're going to Principal Megatron!" Skyquake warned the class.
Fluttershy quickly got the message.
"Now, Principal Megatron has given me in charge of the gym!" Skyquake thundered. He pointed at the gym teacher. "So you get out!"
"Yes, sir! Class, follow Skyquake's commands! I'm out of here!"
Then the gym teacher ran out of the gym as fast as he could. Skyquake faced the gym class.
"What kind of sport are you guys playing?!" Skyquake asked the class.
Everyone was too terrified to talk. Pinkie Pie went up to the massive green and grey 'con.
"Um, hello! My name is Pinkie Pie and we are playing basketball," she said.
"Basketball? Okay, Pinkie Pie-" Skyquake started to say, but was quickly interrupted.
"You can just call me Pinkie! By the way, where are you from?! Do you transform? Are you old? Where's your hair? I wonder what your like? What other things can you do? Huh? Huh? Huh?!" Pinkie Pie asked the Decepticon.
Skyquake's eyebrows moved up in shock,. His mind was blown about what this pink chick had just said. He never heard Miko talk later that before.
"Uh...I'm from Cybertron. A planet far away from here," Skyquake explained to the class.
Everyone gasped. Fluttershy walked closer to Rainbow Dash while Skquake was explaining his story.
"Umm...Rainbow..."Fluttershy started.
Rainbow Dash turned and faced the shy human.
"Yeah, what is it Fluttershy?"
"Umm...can you teach me how...to...umm...play...basketball?" Fluttershy asked, in a very low voice.
"Fluttershy, this Skyquake guy will teach us how to play basketball. You don't need my help. And also, I'm awesome!" Rainbow bragged.
Fluttershy looked sadly at the ground. She knew Rainbow was good at basketball, but Rainbow let arrogance get the best of her. Skyquake finished his story about the Battle of Technahar.
"Is that all you need to know Pinkie Pie?" Skyquake asked Pinkie.
"Yup!" she said happily.
Skyquake was happy to hear that since he was a little terrified of Pinkie Pie.
"Now we are going to have a...uh, Pinkie, what's the school's name?" Skyquake asked the pink girl.
"Canterlot High!" she said happily.
"Yes. We are going to have a Canterlot High Basketball Game this Saturday!"
Rainbow Dash smiled. Fluttershy was worried. All of those people would be on the bleachers watching her. She knew she couldn't be in the spotlight since she had stage fright.
"Now we are going to be in teams of two. The...umm...hmm..." Skyquake started as he picked up a clipboard. "...the Rainbooms vs the Planets,"
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy.
"I can't believe it! We're going up against Captain Planet! He's really good at basketball! I can't wait to beat him!" Rainbow explained.
"Yay," Fluttershy said very low.
Then Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy faced Skyquake.
"Now, continue to-" Skyquake started, but was interrupted again as the bell rang for lunch.
"What in the name of Primus is that?" Skyquake asked the class.
Sunset Shimmer walked to Skyquake.
"It's the bell for lunch. We have them throughout the entire day to let us switch classes," Sunset explained.
"Oh. Will you be back after lunch?"
"Tomorrow we will. We only have you once a day," she explained to Skyquake as the rest of the class stormed out of the gym.
"Alright, see you later...umm...."
"It's Sunset Shimmer!" she said happily.
"Yes," Skyquake said.
Then everyone was out of the gym and into the cafeteria as several other people were already inside. Several Jet Vehicons guarded the cafeteria and some of them were doing cashier jobs. Fluttershy waited at the line as they were serving pizza, apples, and cheese sticks. Rarity ran up to her.
"So how do you like the new Decepticons, Fluttershy?" Rarity asked her as Fluttershy grabbed two slices of pizza.
"They're okay. It's just..." Fluttershy started as she grabbed five cheese sticks.
"It's just?" Rarity repeated, egging her on.
"I asked Rainbow Dash if she could help me play basketball, but she was too selfish to even think about me," Fluttershy said sadly as she grabbed 2 apples.
"Oh I see. Rainbow Dash is always like that when it comes to sports," Rarity explained.
They walked and the Jet Vehicon at the cashier looked at Fluttershy's food. Fluttershy typed in her lunch number on the control pad. Then Fluttershy was clear to go as Rarity started to type her number in the control pad. Fluttershy waited for Rarity and then they walked over the Rainboom lunch table.
"Hey Fluttershy! Hey Rarity! What's up?" Pinkie asked them.
"Nothing really," Rarity said.
"I'm just worried about Saturday's basketball game," Fluttershy said very low.
"Fluttershy, you're always worried about something," Rainbow said as she walked over to their table. "You need to toughen up!"
"Hmm...I agree Rainbow," said Rarity. "Fluttershy, meet me at my house after school today,"
"Okay."
Inside Principal Celestia's Office, Megatron was sitting in the chair as Starscream was standing next to him talking to Celestia and Luna.
"Please Lord Megatron, we ask you not to take the school!" Luna protested.
"Oh, don't worry! We are not taking over the school. We're just using it for a little while to become better Decepticons," Starscream said sarcastically.
"Yes, begin take-over Starscream. And make sure these two help me whenever I need it!" Megatron commanded the seeker.
"As you wish my, liege! Come here you two pretty girls!" Starscream said as his claws reached towards Celestia and Luna.
