Stoned... literally... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used to wonder if there is anything else out there besides us. WELL I GOT MY ANSWER! Just not in the form I wanted. Wow, this stone has really GROWN on me... Yea even I know that was bad.' I thought groaning internally. At that moment I was stuck in a mountain. It was actually very comfortable once you got past the cricks that start to form over time. Oh! I apologize sir/madam! I completely forgot to introduce myself. My name is Maya.... ironically I'm also Maya from Borderlands 2. Maybe I should tell you how I ended up in this mountain. So I was with some friends going to a Halloween Party. It was fun. I saw some old friends and even made a few new ones. Back then I really didn't see the point in Costume parties. They were just a bunch of nerds dressing up in the costume of their favorite characters. Until I got invited to one and my friends made me go out to find a good costume. While out searching for a store that had one of my favorite characters (Maya from Borderlands 2), I came across some weird guy that looked like Xur from Destiny in an alley. He called me over and asked me what I was doing out so late at night. I, of course, told him I was out looking for a costume. "Interesting, would this happen to be the one you were looking for?" To my surprise, he pulled out a set of Maya's clothes in the game as well as a Maliwan Corrosive (from the looks of it) SMG, and a perfect replica of an echo device. I asked him how he got it and he just said: "I have my ways..." He just cackled all evil like. As soon as I asked how much he wanted for it however, he just waved me off and told me it was free. So, naturally, I accepted it and gave my thanks. After the party however, I started to feel strange... Almost like I was being pulled apart and put back together. Then I just blacked out. Next thing I know, I'm in a dark place that I can't move from. So now that you know my story, you should also know that I've been gathering a massive amount of energy to Phase-walk out of the mountain. It's a lot harder since I'm not Lilith, but I have all the time in the world. Something to also note is that it has roughly been 3,000 years since I have arrived in this mountain. The first thousand years were spent trying to get used to my new abilities (also, I discovered I apparently don't need to breathe, eat, or sleep since the mountain has "frozen" me in time). After the first thousand years, I had mastered my powers and started to focus on my senses (such as using this world's energy (which is called magic I guess) to see outside of the mountain). I have watched many events happen and pass in the last two thousand years - such as the imprisonment of Discord, the loss of the Crystal Empire, and the turning of Princess Luna. I have wanted to help the Equines for many years, sending them signals through magic, causing the mountain I am currently stuck in to shake, but they have been completely clueless to all of my signals. I was starting to get annoyed when I had an idea. Why not try to gather the energy to Phase-walk out? So, for the last 500 years I've been gathering the energy needed to do such a thing as that. Since then, however, Princess Celestia has been feeling my collection of magic and I have caught her trying to sense me out many times. To stop her from sensing me I have had to use a very small amount of the magic I have collected to make myself invisible to her in the physical and metaphorical sense. Sometimes, I can feel Discord trying to escape, but everytime he tries, I block off his attempts and absorb the magic that he collected to add to my own. Celestia has long-since gave up on trying to sense where I am, but then a pretty pesky purple unicorn started to try to sense why there has been magic being collected into the mountain. "Twilight Sparkle, what have I told you about doing that?" Celestia was currently scolding a certain Unicorn, having felt her directing magic toward the mountain. "I'm sorry Princess, I just want to know what is happening up there," stated a teary-eyed Twilight. Celestia sighed. It had been a long time since she had worried about what was happening there. "Only time will tell Twilight, only time will tell." Looks like the time is coming. May as well indulge in some meditation. When I meditate, I feel every life force on Equis, almost as if I'm connected to it. Sometimes I even chat with Celestia without her knowing where I am. Maybe just this once I'll let my guard down. Celestia was sitting on her throne listening to her nephew Blueblood ramble on about some ponies not respecting him like they should. Suddenly, a slab of earth erupted in front of Blueblood, eliciting a whinny of surprise from both present parties. Soon the stone slab formed into a frame that Celestia knew very well. "Good evening Celestia, I am sorry for the interruption." "No, no. It is quite alright, I just wasn't expecting you to show up. It has been well over a hundred years since we've last spoken," stated Celestia. Unknowingly to everyone in the room except Maya, Celestia had the tiniest of smirks. "Very well. I would like to tell you tha-" "Excuse me! I am trying to talk to Auntie! Please wait your turn!" Blueblood was fuming. He was suddenly interrupted by a creature and it just started having a casual chat with Auntie Celestia? The nerve! Without turning around it answered. "You would be wise to keep your mouth shut whelp. I am trying to have a conversation with Celestia." It's tone was that of ice. As soon as it started to speak Blueblood shut his mouth as fear gripped his heart with iron. "Now Maya, what have we talked about." "I apologize, but this is rather important. As you know I have been collecting magic for the last 500 or so years. I would like to say that I will be able to leave the mountain in one year's time. Specifically before your sister returns." As it spoke it retained a stoic expression, but it's eyes - even made of stone - held signs of great wisdom and age. "Good, I have been waiting to meet you for a while now." "Also, once I leave the mountain I will not be able to hold back Discord. So you should prepare for his awakening and be ready for him to leave his prison since I will have no more need for the magic he collects each day." Celestia gasped hearing this news, but quickly returned to an emotionless mask. Things will be getting interesting from here on out.
