A Mother's Love... Pt. 1
"No!" Sweetie cried as she was held back from the foal workers, "Stop! You can't do this!"
"We can," the female unicorn said. There were three foal workers, two unicorns and a Pegasus. The female unicorn was the only mare. "And we will." The unicorn was holding, in her magic, a small, three month old Filly. She was heading for the door when Sweetie cried out once more.
"Why are you doing this?!" she nearly screamed; still being held back, "What are you going to do with her?!"
"We are going to take her to Canterlot," the Unicorn Stallion said as he held Sweetie in his magic grip, "We will put her in a more suitable home."
"What makes you think that this is not suitable home?!" Sweetie cried, her eyes full of tears, "I have my family to help, they are all old enough to take care of her! Why can't you just leave her with one of them?!"
"Because," the Pegasus said as he headed out the door. The female unicorn gave the foal to him, "There will be no interaction of you and this poor foal." With that, he flew off and Sweetie was released from the unicorn stallion's magical grip. The unicorn left Sweetie in a pile of tears on the floor. Sweetie burst into more tears until, finally, the front door opened.
"Sweetie Belle!" Rarity called from the hallway, "Is that you? You won't believe the fabric... I... found? Sweetie Belle, whatever is the matter?"
Sweetie couldn't stop crying, it took a while for her to calm down enough to talk a little. "They.." She stammered, still with tears in her eyes, "They took her!"
"Sweetie," Rarity said as she wiped Sweetie's eyes with a cloth held in her magic, "Who took who?"
"The foal ponies," Sweetie cried again.
"The foal ponies to who?" Rarity inquired, "Sweetie, please tell me what happened!"
"The foal ponies," Sweetie cried out, "They took Emerald! Rarity, they took Emerald!"
Rarity sat there in shock, her niece had been taken from the family's possession.
"Sweetie," Rarity said calmly, "I want you to go lie down, I'm going to go talk to Twilight."
"How can you be so calm!" Sweetie yelled at Rarity, the anger clearly showing, "Those stupid ponies came in here, without warning, and took your little niece!"
"Sweetie," Rarity snapped, "Go lie down and try to calm down! I am going to talk to Twilight about what they did! Trust me, if I can get my way those ponies wont live to see tomorrow!"
Sweetie walked slowly to her room, crying her heart out. Rarity watched the poor filly until she was out of sight. Rarity ran out of the house, as fast as she could, she ran to Twilight's castle.
"Oh hi Rarity!" a rainbow manned Pegasus called to her, "Where are you off to?"
"Shut up Rainbow Dash!" Rarity yelled as she ran right on past.
"Ok," Rainbow said as she picked up her speed to follow the mare, "What's wrong."
"Nothing," Rarity lied, "I just have to see Twilight, NOW!" She ran off again toward the castle. Rainbow just shrugged it off and went about her day. Rarity kept on running, or at least she would have if she hadn't ran into A.J.
"Sugarcube," A.J. said as she rubbed her sore head, "What in tarnation is putting you in suck a rush?"
"Nothing, Applejack dear!" Rarity said as she helped her friend up, "I just need to talk to Twilight!"
"Does this have to do with one of your 'fashion' ideas?" Applejack guessed.
"Um," Rarity started. She got nervous and wanted to go talk to Twilight, now, "Yes?"
"Sugarcube," Applejack said with a look of 'really...' in her face, "I can tell when you are lying, I'm the element of honesty. What is goin' on?"
"I'd love to tell you Applejack," Rarity said as she started off to Twilights castle, "But I must be going!" Rarity ran off, once more, to Twilights castle. Applejack, worried for her friend, followed.
Rarity burst through the doors only to be greeted by a face of anger from the Lord of Chaos.
"My, my, my," Discord said with a scowl on his face, "What brings you so loudly to our fine castle?"
"I need to speak with Twilight!" Rarity said fuming, "Immediately!"
"I'm afraid that she is not available right now," Discord said as his face suddenly turned from one of anger to one of pride, "Did you hear that she had a foal last week? A pegasus colt to be precise."
"Look," Rarity said rubbing her hoof on her temples, "I am truly happy about you getting a child, but I need to speak with Twilight about getting one back!"
"Getting one back?" Discord said with curiosity, "I never knew you had a foal, dear Rarity."
"It's not my foal!" Rarity nearly shouted, "It's Sweetie Belle's! And don't say a thing about her age! The point is, I need Twilight to pull some strings to get her back!"
"You need me to pull strings to get who back?" Twilight said as she entered the room carrying a small bundle in her arms. Pinkie and Fluttershy were right behind her.
"Twilight!" Rarity exclaimed, it was hard to keep from "aww"ing at the foal, "I need your help! Please, its just gone all wrong!"
"I thought you said nothin' was wrong," Applejack said as she walked into the room with Rainbow flying behind her.
"Yea!" Rainbow said, crossing her hooves, "You even told me to shut up, what is with that?!"
"Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy gasped, "Sit!" Rainbow, reluctantly, did as was told.
"Oh!" Pinkie said in her normal bouncy way, "Are you going to tell us a story, because I love stories!"
"Girls!" Discord said at a range that was loud and firm yet soft and sweet, "Can we please try and refrain from anything harmful?"
"You want to go put C.C. down for a nap?" Twilight asked.
"I would be delighted!" Discord said. To the other girls astonishment, he walked.
"Yep," Fluttershy said with a grin, "He's going to be a great father."
"I agree with Fluttershy," Twilight said with a "I love my guy" look in her face, "But anyways, Rarity, why do you need me to pull some strings?"
Rarity couldn't take it anymore, she burst into tears. "The foal services took Emerald from Sweetie!" She cried, "She said that they just came in, said that they were the foal services, and that they had agreed that Emerald was not fit to be in her possession!" The girls all gasped. "To make matters worse, she is going to stay in Canterlot Orphanage to have, as they put it, 'no contact, whatsoever, with the mother and foal'"
"That can't be right!" Twilight said thinking this all over, "They usually have to give a two days notice! Why would they be violating that rule, breaking it or any other rule gets them fired!"
Pinkie gasped in her great, big gasp. "Twilight! Don't you remember what we were talking about before we came down?!"
"Foal food?"
"No!" Pinkie objected, "The scandal that has been going on! You know, where ponies have been taking foals from families, and when the family gets papers to get them back, they were never heard of at Canterlot orphanage which cause everypony to believe that all the foals were foalnapped! I even heard that they might be headed for Ponyville!"
Rarity fainted.
"Isn't there anything we can do?" Fluttershy asked with worry, "Sure there is something!"
"Of course there is!" Rainbow said slamming her right hoof in her left, "How many monsters have we beat so far, I'm sure we can find a foal!"
"Oh," Twilight said as her pupils shrank and her eyes went wide, "No..."
"Oh, no?!" Rarity asked, "Oh, no?! What does 'oh, no' mean?!"
"I think I know," Twilight whispered, "Pinkie, do you remember the 'black cats?'"
"That old stupid gang from high school?" Pinkie said with a bored tone in her voice, "Duh, how could I forget the gang that was the 'lead' of the school? They were so stupid, 'You there! you pink pony! stop being so hyperactive or suffer the consequences!' like, seriously, do they even know me? I mean, sure the would beat up foals but they got caught for that!"
"Pinkie," Twilight said as she turned toward her friend, "Do you remember how many ponies were in the black cats?"
"Three"
"And how many ponies have they estimated to be in on the foalnapping?"
"Three...," Pinkie trailed off, "Twilight, it could be any three ponies! How do you know that it's them?!"
"They always left their 'call sign' wherever they went," Twilight said with a hoof on her chin, "Do you remember what it was?"
"Um," Fluttershy started, "I might know the answer to that one..."
"Fluttershy?!" Pinkie gasped, "How would you know!?"
"Because," Fluttershy whispered, "one of them is my brother..."
"What?!" Pinkie nearly screamed, "How- But- Your brother?!"
"Since when did she have a brother?" Applejack asked.
"Since before I met her," Rainbow stated, "The point is, he is in that gang which means Fluttershy is our way in!"
"WHAT?!"

"Ok," Emerald said as she got up from the couch, "Time for bed!"
"what?!" Rose exclaimed, "how can you end it there?!"
"Easy," Emerald said as she lead the filly up stairs, "by saying time for bed!"
"Fine...," Rose said add she hopped I bed, "but this had better continue tomorrow!"
"It will honey," Emerald said whilst tucking the filly in, "it will"
