Lies and Struggles
One year ago...
"Well that was fun.." Blazing Night said after mating with her coltfriend.
"Yeah...I have to move tomorrow I'm glad I could spend this last night with you Blaze."
"Promise we will meet each other again," Said Blaze while looking into her coltfriend's eyes.
"I promise we will see each other again," Golden Wing said, he then passionately kisses her before he left for the train station to take a train to Manehatten.
One year later...
"He lied...he promised he would come back, he promised!" Blaze started to cry.
"Calm down dear I know he left you at the wrong time, but you must take care of Glimmer."
"But he's Glimmer's father, he should be here to help take care of her!" Blaze starts to pace around.
"Blazing Night you stop that this instance!" Blaze stops and looks at her mother.
"Your father and I will help take care of her, you just finish your studies and get a stable job okay?"
"But mom he's such a f-" Nightflash glared at her.
"Don't you use language in my house, not while I'm alive!"
"Then I wish you were dead!" Blaze storms off, furious at her mother who is hurt that her own daughter would say that.
"What would you do if Glimmer said that?" Blaze stopped and looked back at her mother and started to hold back tears.
"I don't know!" She starts to cry. "I would feel hurt."
"How do you think I feel right now?" Blaze runs to her and hugs her.
"I'm sorry mom I just feel so betrayed, hurt, and broken." Nightflash comforts her daughter like she used to when she was young.
"Shh...it's okay momma is here calm down." Blaze calmed down and soon stopped crying.
"Thanks mom..."
"No problem now go to college and get that degree!"
"Yes mom!"
Four years later...
"Mommy? What are we going to do now?"
"We have to wait and hope I get the job." A few weeks ago, Blaze applied at Ironstomp Incorporated as a computer engineer, she lacked the experience in the field, but she had resolve and confidence unmatched by many of her stallion counterparts.
"Okay mommy..." Glimmer goes back to playing with her toys on the floor, Blaze sighs and says to herself.
"She can't live for the rest of her life without a father." She starts to think and one stallion came to her mind the only one she could actually trust...Forest Haze, she goes to the kitchen and calls his number that she had written down just in case the incident happened again.
"Hello? Blaze what's wrong? did Glimmer?"
"No, I just called to say maybe we should go out some time."
"I'm not sure, I don't want you to feel hurt if I do anything wrong."
"I'll bring Glimmer along so that you can be on your best behavior."
"You sure because you know Gol-" she interrupts him.
"Don't say his name, just lets go to the Apple Fair."
"Okay umm don't tell Glimmer it's a date just say I'm coming along with her friends."
"Okay...see you there."
"Okay see ya Blaze."
"Bye." She hung up the phone.
"Mommy who was that?” Blaze sighs
“Nothing, I have a surprise for you!” Glimmer started to get excited.
“What mommy!? What?!”
“We are going to the Apple Fair!”
“Yay!”
“Go get your stuff so we can get over there.” Glimmer quickly runs to her room and gets her bag and rushes back to her mother.
“Ready!” Blaze grabs her bag and fifty bits.
“Okay let’s go!” she opens the door and Glimmer runs out
“Hurry mommy we’re going to be late!” Blaze catches up to her.
“Wait, we need to stop at Mr. Haze’s house.” Glimmer tilted her head.
“Why mommy?”
“Just because.”
“But!”
“No buts come on now it won’t take too long.” Glimmer hesitantly agreed, and they walked to Forest Haze’s house.
“Hi Blaze!” Blaze looks over to see Sea Swirl.
"Hi Sea, how are you?"
“I’m fine, how about you?”
"Well being a mother and all I'm fine."
“What are you up to?” Asked Sea Swirl
"Going to the Apple Fair with Haze and Glimmer."
"Apple Fair! Yay!" Cried Glimmer
"Looks like someone is excited."
"Yeah."
"So what brings you over here?"
"We are going to Forest Daze's house." Sea Swirl gave her a smirk
"Oh so are you going to..."
"Shh! Glimmer can't know." Sea Swirl giggled
"Okay I'll keep it a secret."
"Thanks." Glimmer started to tug on Blaze's bag.
"Come on mommy!"
"Alright Glimmer, I'm sorry Sea we have to go." Sea gave her a hug.
"It's okay go have fun I was going to take Pluto anyways."
"Okay I guess I'll see you there."
"Okay see ya there Blaze!" Sea Swirl walks off to Pluto's house.
"Come on!" Blaze rolled her eyes.
"Alright alright! We'll get there."
Blaze and Glimmer continued their walk to Daze's house, and they finally arrived.
"Okay." Blaze knocked on the door and Forest Daze opened the door.
"Hey Blaze Hi Glimmer." For a pegasus Forest Daze was fairly tall to be one but it did bother him.
"Hi Mr. Daze."
"Hi Daze." She hugs him.
"It's nice to see you again." They hugged each other for awhile.
"Mommy? What are you doing?" They quickly stopped and remembered that they were going out as "friends"
"Nothing." Blaze started to blush.
"Mommy why is your face red." Young Glimmer started to question her mother's relationship with the brown stallion.
"It's hot...let's head to the fair!"
"Hmm....it doesn't feel hot." Daze chuckles.
"Glimmer stop asking your mother question you want to go to the fair right?" Glimmer immediately shuts up and nods yes. "Good now shall we head off to the fair?" He walks out of his house gesturing to the direction of the Apple Family Farm.
"Yes let's go." They all walked to the fair talking along the way.
"So how are you?" Daze asked.
"Fine still scratchin and surviving." She puts her head down.
"Did you send out your application?" She sighs.
"Yeah but I'm worried that I won't be accepted and we will have to move away to a different place."
"It's fine you just need to keep hope you'll get the job don't worry."
"Okay...so how are you?"
"Well I'm living alone with a good job."
"That's good."
"So how's Glimmer?"
"Well she's a hoof full." He chuckles and looks at Glimmer who was bouncing up and down excited for the fair.
"I can see that." They all arrived at the entrance of the farm to be greeted by Cherryblossom.
"Hi Forest and Blaze." Glimmer clears her throat and Cherryblossom laughs a bit
"Hello Glimmer."
"Hi Mrs. Cherry!"
"Hey Cheryl can we have three tickets." Asked Blaze.
"Sure that'll be ten bits." Blaze goes to pay but Daze stops her
"I got it."
"No I got it."
"No I do." He gives Cherryblossom the money.
"Here." She gives them all one ticket "Enjoy!"
"We will, won't we Glimmer?"
"Yep!" She said cheerfully.
"Okay!" She opens the gate to the farm and they all walk in.
