It was all over in an instant.

Tens of thousands of years of effort destroyed in a few minutes.

"Why did I live?" Asked Celestia. "Why did I live when everypony else died!?" Celestia roared out as she gazed upon the destroyed human world, Celestia slumped down against a burnt wall and noticed the shadow of a human female and a child burnt into the wall. She remembered teleporting Equestria to the continent known to the humans as "Europe." Celestia looked down onto the destroyed, burnt horizon of what once was the great city of London. Celestia stood up as she felt the radioactive wind fly through her mane and she teleported into the outskirts of the city.

When Celestia reappeared she saw the same sight before her, the same sight that has haunted her ever since she had decided to go to another world to uplift the population and turn them into ponies. Celestia had though it would be simple, she thought she would be greeted with acceptance and peace but she was only greeted with a quick and sudden demise. "I was so foalish, how could I have not known these humans were always on the brink of annihilating each other?" She asked a question to no one in particular. She trotted down the blackened street that had the dead everywhere, those that were out in the open were instantly annihilated and their shadows are all that remains but that is not what bothered Celestia the most, no it was the skeletons of the Humans. Even without their skin she could see the look of horror on their skulls, she also could see from their body positions they were panicking and running from the demise she brought them just by appearing in the middle of their cold war.

Cold War. Those two words echoed in Celestia's mind. Those two words once had no meaning to her, if someone were to mention a cold war to a pony they would say. "How could a war be cold?" She missed her little ponies the most, they were so sweet, so innocent. Even the adults were innocent in their own ways, they never knew the hells of war or the pain and anguish of famine. Celestia wanted to help these humans, she wanted to make them be kind to each other and be happy! Celestia remembered how it all happened like it happened yesterday.

Celestia remembered how happy she was when she arrived on Earth, she was going to convert all the humans and take their miseries away! That is what she thought but little did Celestia know, her making Equestria suddenly appear in Europe would trigger all of NATO's and the Soviet Unions nuclear attack warning systems. Now that Celestia thought about it, she and her ponies may have converted a couple hundred humans before it happened. Before the nuclear war happened, before the end happened. Celestia felt herself become nauseous as she remembered when the missile and bombs fell everywhere, she remembered her little ponies screams as they were blinded than burnt away by the unholy power of those weapons. She was speaking to a couple of foals when it happened, she saw the long contrails of the missiles coming towards Canterlot. She should have known what was going to happen, she should have known anything moving at that speed had hostile intent! Celestia let out a loud scream of absolute pain that pierced the eerily silent city as she blamed herself for her ponies deaths, Celestia stood up and screamed out. "I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!" Celestia remembered their screams of pain, she saw the foals flesh burn off before her very eyes. They kept burning until only the skeleton was left. Celestia thought she lived because those same weapons is what occurs in a sun constantly, she was the controller of the sun she told herself. "I am the sun.. I will live, I will start again." Anyone who could see her now would think she has gone insane, maybe I have gone insane, Celestia thought. "I need to try one more time" Celestia could hear her voice quiver as she spoke, she than concentrated with all her might. Celestia could feel the last bits of her magic go into this spell. A spell that would take her back to Equestria before she decided to go to a human universe to convert the ponies.

Celestia appeared in her own bedroom, she saw herself sleeping in her old bed. Celestia slowly walked over to the bed till she was looking down at her old self, sleeping peacefully until her old self woke up suddenly and let out a yelp at what she saw before her. Pre teleport Celestia saw a black Alicorn skeleton stare down at her, the eye holes on the skeleton had two magically created magenta eyes. In one second Celestia could see the pain in the skeletons eyes, the horror that must be going through it before Celestia could speak the skeleton wrapped its hooves around her neck and said in her own voice. "Don't. Do. It. The beginning of the conversion, was the end." The skeleton had told her slowly before it collapsed into a pile of bones, Celestia could feel the magic bleeding out of the bones. She could feel her own magic coming from the skeleton! Celestia knew that secret plan she had needed to be forgotten and destroyed, she looked to the skeleton and said. "Thank you, me. For sparing others from pain." She felt guilty to what she assumed to be herself for the unknown horrors she had seen but she knew she had to forget. She teleported the skeleton onto the sun and she trotted over to a mirror, she looked straight into it. "The beginning was the end she said, the beginning was the end." Celestia said as she magically erased the plan and the memory of the skeleton. Celestia blinked and looked around she yawned and lied back down on her bed, not knowing of what had and could have occurred.
