It's a very cold night. Large bits of snow fall from the sky, the moon shines brightly in the sky, and strong wind moves the snow on the ground to and fro.

Double Diamond and Night Glider walk up the side of a rocky, small, and slippery mountain. Both of their hooves crunch the snow beneath them. They wear light blue fluffy hats and boots that keep them relativity warm. Night Glider holds a expertly crafted picnic basket in her mouth.

"We're almost at the top!" Double Diamond says as he points one of his hooves at the top of the mountain. Night Glider smiles as brightly as the sun.

She then flaps her wings and quickly soars to the top of the mountain while Double Diamond trots behind her.

She then lands on the top of the hill. They open the basket, pull out a checkered red and white blanket out of the basket, and start to unpack the scrumptious food.

"Thanks for having this picnic with me." Night Glider says as she get's some snow off of the blanket.

"It's nothing. I think this will be loads of fun." Double Diamond responds as he takes a large bite out of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"I'm sorry we're not having this picnic when the sun is shining. I'm just usually so busy." She meekly stares at the snowy ground that's beneath her.

Double Diamond waves a foreleg. "It's okay. I understand. My schedule is also really busy." The blue pegasus smiles broadly.

"Double Diamond, can I tell you something that's kinda important?" She stares sheepishly at her good friend and nervously bites her lower lip.

"Sure." He stares at Night Glider with a look of confusion and curiosity upon his face. He tries to think of what the pegasus in front of him wants to talk about.

"I'm really worried. You, me, Party Favor, and Sugar Belle are kind of the leaders of this town now. Now all of my actions carry more weight. I'm worried that I'll be a horrible leader. I-I'm worried that someponies still believe her philosophy."

He then gives his friend a warm and friendly hug. "Don't worry. You'll be a great leader. Heck, in my book anypony who goes up against Starlight Glimmer has great potential to be a leader. I bet you'll be able to improve this village greatly. Don't worry about Starlight's philosophy. She is wrong." He grins at Night Glider in a average attempt to make her feel better.

"I guess you're right but-" Double Diamond suddenly stops her mid sentence with a kiss. After a second or two Night Glider pulls her lips away from Double Diamonds' lips.

"What in all of Equestria was that!" She loudly slams a hoof against the ground as hard as she can while she blushes.

He gentely places one of his hooves on top of her mouth. "Shh. Please be quiet. It was just a kiss. Sometimes a kiss is just a kiss." He moves the hoof away from her mouth.

"Just a kiss! How could you say-" She stops talking mid sentence. She slowly takes in a deep breath. "Double Diamond, thank you."

He raises his eyebrows. "Thank you? Are you saying that about the kiss or something else?"

"Although the kiss was nice I was thanking you for being my friend. Ever since we got Starlight Glimmer out of the village we call home you've been really nice to me. You're an awesome friend except for when you interrupt me."

"Oh. You're welcome. I'm glad you like the kiss." He smiles sheepishly and stares intently at Night Glider. "Oh! I almost forgot to ask you! Do you feel less worried?"

Night Glider laughs. "I think I feel a little bit less worried. The thing is, I think I'll almost always be worried about being a leader. I guess that's okay."

He smiles again but this time it's wider and more joyful (and it also shows more of his teeth). "Double Diamond, let's ignore the kiss for now. Our town is probably going to get in some sort of sticky situation in the near future. We need to plan! We need to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Please, can we start planning now?"

Double Diamond laughs and Night Glider rolls her eyes. "Glider, not to veto everything you just said, but we go to like five meetings a day to plan ahead. We'll be fine."

Night Glider snorts. "Well, even though my decisions now carry more weight now, I still manage to get nothing done in those meetings. That's most definitely not my fault at all! In those rooms I'm just second fiddle to Sugar Belle! I'm not jealous! I just want to make a difference."

Double Diamond nods solemnly. "I guess I had similar feelings when Starlight Glimmer was the leader of this village. I was always having to do what she wanted. Why don't we plan ahead. Let's go right ahead."

The two of them start planning ahead by drawing figures and diagrams in the snow. They both feel better-especially Night Glider. They're both calm and happy.

"Thank you Double Diamond, why don't you do something like this again with me."

"Okay. That sounds like a ton of fun." He gently kisses her again but this time it's on the cheek.

"With this plan of ours, Starlight will have no chance of defeating us- well, if she tries that."

"Yup. Let's hope for that." Night Glider wraps a wing around him and grins.
