> Adagio's Crush > by FuzzytheWhatzit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > In the library > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The library was dark. It had been a few hours since the power went out, but Sunset was having trouble sleeping so she was sitting against the bookshelves with a small flashlight reading some random book she pulled from the shelf. The story didn't interest her much, but it was better than just lying there in the dark staring at the ceiling. She heard the soft sound of footsteps coming in from the hallway. Quickly, she shut off her flashlight. She knew she wasn't supposed to be there, and if they caught her they'd "send her home." However, being from another dimension she had no place to call home and she wanted to keep her situation a secret from her friends as long as possible. She already leaned on them so much, she didn't want to become a burden. She crawled around the bookcase, trying to be as silent as she could and peeked out for a brief moment. There was a dark figure, too dark to make out any details, but from the figure she was definitely female. She walked around the library, looking around almost as if she was looking for something. Sunset pulled back when the figure started heading towards the stairs leading to her current location. She grabbed the blanket and huddled in the corner, covering herself up in an attempt to hide. She heard the woman walk in and start looking around. She heard a soft click, then noticed light filtering in through the blanket. 'Shit,' Sunset thought. 'She found the flashlight...!' Sunset stayed as still as possible, even breathing as quietly as she could which was much more difficult now because of the building tension in her chest. She felt herself let out a tiny gasp as the light was shined directly onto the blanket. She heard a thick, deep, strangely familiar voice. "Oh, well, well, well, look what we have here..." She stepped closer. Sunset quickly pulled down the blanket. "Adagio?! What are you doing here?" She stood quickly, clenching her fists tightly. "Oh, now, don't look so fierce, I'm not here to fight you." She turned the flashlight back off, placing it back on the bookshelf. "Then why are you here?" "To see you, of coarse~ You know, it's been a while since we last saw each other. Did you miss me?" "No," she growled. "What do you want from me?" Adagio let out a short chuckle. "I don't want anything from you." She walked closer, placing her hands on Sunset's shoulders. "I just want you." "What?!" Sunset backed up to the bookcase, almost completely losing her balance. "What do you mean- want m-me?!" "Just that," she stepped forward and placed her hands on Sunset's shoulders once again. "You stole my heart, Sunset Shimmer. You sneaky little thief." Sunset breathed in sharply. "I-I'm not a thief anymore." "Oh, I know. You probably didn't mean to..." She traced her fingers down Sunset's neck. "But you did. Back there, when you stood against me, I expected to be angry. I should hate you." She gently wrapped her hands around Sunset's neck, causing Sunset to gasp. "You know, I could kill you right now. No one is here. No one would hear you scream." "I-I thought you said I..." she trailed off. She felt a deep rooted fear starting to consume her. Adagio was right. She was stronger than Sunset, and Sunset was all alone in the dark. No one would know until tomorrow morning. But there was another emotion deep within her. She had to admit, Adagio is gorgeous and having her this close... it was making it hard to breathe. She felt her breaths catch more and more with each passing second. Adagio wasn't even applying any pressure yet but she was already suffocating her. "Oh, don't be so afraid. I told you. I'm not here to fight you." "If you don't want me to be afraid, then why did you threaten me?" Sunset screamed angrily, finally finding the courage to speak. "And why did you say I stole your heart?! Are you just having fun fucking with my emotions?!" "I didn't threaten you. I didn't say I would kill you." She smirked. "And yes, I am fucking with your emotions. It's quite fun actually." Sunset shoved Adagio hard, causing her to stumble back for a second. She recovered quickly and grabbed the bookshelf behind Sunset. She lunged forward, staring deeply into Sunset's eyes with a fierce expression only an inch away from Sunset's face. "Do that again." Her voice was low and threatening. Sunset hesitated, frozen in place once again. "I-I'm sorry..." she stuttered out fearfully. Adagio growled, "Do. That. Again." Sunset breathed in sharply, her hands starting to shake. "I-I..." She lifted her arms slowly, refusing to meet Adagio's eyes and pushed her much softer than before. Adagio didn't move, she just let out a satisfied chuckle. "You're such a good girl, Sunset Shimmer." Her tone was soft and sweet. Sunset blinked in confusion. She looked back into Adagio's eyes, seeing her smug satisfaction. 'Why... did she want me to do that...?' Sunset pondered. Adagio traced her hands down Sunset's neck again, but this time she chose to rest them on Sunset's cheeks. She started softly rubbing circles there with her thumb, and in a soft, cooing voice said, "You're so beautiful, you know that?" Sunset felt her heart drop. "Please stop. I really can't take this anymore." Adagio paused. "Darling..." She sounded upset, and even looked like she felt a bit guilty. "I really do mean that." "Thank you," her words were hollow, and her voice was a bit scratchy almost as if she was going to cry. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She really couldn't take much more of this. Adagio breathed in deeply, then let the air back out. "And you're kind. And caring. I know... what happened between us, but..." Adagio looked down. Opening up was never easy for her. "I really do like you. Despite everything. I apologize, I was just flirting but I guess I... took it too far." Adagio backed up a little, letting her arms drop to her sides. "...Wait! I..." Sunset reached out for a second, then awkwardly lowered her arm. "You really...?" Adagio nodded, a small smile forming on her face. Sunset stepped forward, gently placing her hands on Adagio's waist. "Y-you're really beautiful, too." A small blush started to form on her face, and she looked off to the side to hide it. Adagio lifted Sunset's head up, letting out a small chuckle as she noticed the soft pink spreading across Sunset's cheeks. Adagio kissed Sunset softly, holding the kiss for a moment hoping that Sunset would react. She did, kissing back just as softly. Adagio pulled back for just a second, then wrapped her arms around Sunset's neck and kissed her again, this time with much more passion. Sunset moaned softly, grasping the purple fabric in her hands. She pulled back for a short breath, then licked Adagio's bottom lip softly. Adagio made a soft noise, pulling her closer and deepening the kiss. She pressed her tongue against Sunset's, causing Sunset to moan sensually and open her mouth just enough for Adagio to slip her tongue inside. Adagio gently ran her hands down Sunset's chest, then slipped her hands under her shirt. "Dagi..." Sunset moaned in-between kisses, her voice filled with pleasure and lust. She could feel her knees about to give in. She leaned forward, pressing herself against Adagio and wrapping her arms completely around her. Finally, Adagio pulled away and let Sunset drop her head onto her shoulder. She hugged her tightly, letting them both slip into a sitting position as Sunset seemed no longer capable of standing. She breathed heavily, still clutching at Adagio's shirt. "Well, I really did a number on you, didn't I?" she let out a dark laugh. "...Yeah," Sunset agreed between breaths. "You really did..." This just made Adagio laugh again, but a bit more genuinely. "We should do this again~," Adagio said seductively. "...Tomorrow night?" She was finally catching her breath. "Yeah. I'd better get out of here, though. I don't think the school staff would appreciate me being on campus after that last... incident." "Oh, gosh, is it that late?" She checked her phone quickly. "Yeah, that'd be a good idea..." "Tomorrow night then," she grinned. She stood, leaving Sunset to sit by the bookcase.
