The life of Emerald Isle and Counter Chaos from "I do" to "Hello little one" and so on.
Counter Chaos, son of Twilight Sparkle and Discord, is now engaged to Emerald Isle, Daughter of Sweetie and Rumble. We will now join them throughout the years of their life.

Emerald was speechless; nothing could ruin this momen-
"Get back here you coward!" Raven yelled as she and Strawberry Poptart ran into the room, "When I get ahold of you for putting chocolate syrup in my mane you are going to- WHAT IN THE NAME OF CELESTIA?!"
Raven saw the ring. Her eyes were now wide open and so was her mouth.
"What did you stop fo-" Strawberry started to say before she saw what Raven was looking at.
"Well?" Raven and Strawberry said to the two.
"Well what?" Emerald asked them.
"What did you say?" Raven went out and said.
"Yea," Strawberry agreed, "What did you say?"
"I'm curious too," Chaos teased, "What did you say?"
"Oh Chaos," Emerald said with a deadpan look on her face, "I thought you, of all ponies, would know."
"Soooo," Chaos said, "I'm sorry, I'm drawing a blank here."
Emerald sighed, "Really, Chaos, really? I thought you knew I said yes."
When she said that word, yes, it was like the room exploded. Chaos kissed her deep and Raven and Strawberry were screaming at the top of their lungs.
"What is that screaming?" Discord asked as he ate some cotton candy.
"Oh, nothing," Sweetie said as she and Twilight shared a look. She then raised a glass and said, "Here is to the engagement of Emerald and Chaos."
They all said "Cheers" and were about to take sips of their drinks when Discord stopped.
"What?!"
"You owe me ten bits," Twilight whispered to Sweetie.
"I'll get you a hat later," Sweetie whispered back.

Raven and Strawberry were bouncing this way and that all around the room. Chaos finally stopped kissing Emerald and gave her a hug.
"Wait," Raven said as she stopped bouncing, "Come on Strawberry, let's go scream downstairs."
"Why?" Strawberry asked.
"Because," Raven said as she headed for the door, "We haven't annoyed the adults yet."
They both left the room and Emerald tackled Chaos again. They shared a cuddle and the evening went perfectly normal for the rest of the night.....
Did you believe that? Didn't think so.
They both shared a cuddle for a few minutes until the door swung open!
"I got here as soon as I could!" A figure said as it walked in, "Is it true? Did she say yes?"
"Lily?" Emerald said in surprise, "Crystal Lily, what are you doing here?!"
"I heard that my cousin was proposing," Crystal said as she side-hugged Chaos, "So, how did he fail at making it romantic?"
"Lily!" Chaos exclaimed and broke from the hug.
"Watch what you call me boy," Crystal said as she gave him a death stare, "But still, was it romantic?"
"Romantic as it could be," Emerald said with a giggle, "When you have two little sisters come running in, while yelling, right after he asks."
They all shared a laugh; the troublesome trio was back together if only for a short while.
"Wait, I just thought of something," Crystal said as the laughter started to die down, "Where are you going to live?"
"Definitely not here," both Emerald and Chaos said at the same time. They shared a laugh and Crystal threw the ring-box at them. Chaos then realized that he had never put it on Emerald so he did so then. Crystal burst into tears then stopped.
"So we gonna do something or nah?" Crystal said as she put her hooves around them, "When was the last time we reeked havoc at Sugar Cube Corner?"
"Oh," Emerald exclaimed, "I like the sound of that!"
"Same here," Chaos exclaimed, "So, would we do like last time and have a espresso drinking contest to test our caffeine limits?"
"Bet you can't beat my record!" Emerald exclaimed as they headed out, bits in hoof.
"How anypony can drink five-hundred fifty-seven triple shot espressos in ten minutes?!" Chaos and Crystal exclaimed.
"First pony to break that record gets to choose the color scheme for the wedding," Emerald said after they told the others where they were going.
"Count me in!" Crystal said as they walked out the door.
"If I win," Chaos said with a wing around Emerald, "I get to pick the location, brides mares, and groom's-stallions."
"Deal!" Both Emerald and Crystal said as they walked into Sugar Cube Corner.
This was going to be an interesting night. Pinkie saw them coming in and nearly exploded when she saw that Crystal Lily was there.
"Lily!" She said as she exploded into the biggest smile she had ever had, "What are you doing here?! I mean, sure your cousin lives here but nothing big has happened, has there?"
"Really," Crystal said as she sat down at the counter, "Pinkie, I thought your Pinkie Sense would tell you!"
"Well it told me somepony was getting engaged tonight and- Oh hi Chaos, Emerald, Nice ring; As I was saying it told me that- EMERALD IS WEARING A RING?!"
"TAKE COVER!!!" Crystal yelled as she dove under a table to seek refuge for what was about to occur. Pinkie exploded into confetti; then there were balloons all over the place.
"Everything you order is on the house!" Pinkie said as she bounced around behind the counter.
"Pinkie," Emerald said with a sly tone in her voice, "We will take a Dangerous Dynamic Trio Disaster."
"Trying to break the record again, huh?" Pinkie said as she put a sweat band on her head, "Let's do this! Pumpkin! Pound! It's time!"
Emerald was sitting in Chaos' room groaning; Chaos and Crystal were groaning. They were out until four in the morning doing things they did as fouls. Things like going to Sugar Cube Corner and having a soda drinking contest, going to the park directly afterwards and seeing who could last the longest on the merry-go-round at the park, and playing ninja.
"You really shouldn't have stayed up that late," Discord said as he and Twilight brought in some trays of food.
"As for Emerald and Chaos," Twilight said as she put some trays in front of them, "Drinking seven-hundred and one cups of quadruple shots espresso didn't help."
"I got the one for the win," Chaos said in a bored/tired tone, "I won the bet."
"Bet?" Discord said with a curious look on his face.
"We said," Emerald said as she sat up to eat some food, "That whoever won in the challenge would get to do something wedding related."
"I won," Chaos said again as he finally got the strength to sit up, "So I get to pick the location, brides-mares, and grooms-stallions."
They all chatted until Crystal woke up enough to get her face out of her pancakes. After they finished eating Twilight and Discord went downstairs to do the dishes. They all talked a little more; mostly about the wedding. When it became eleven Crystal had to say goodbye and go take care of her sister. As Chaos and Emerald talked about what would be at the wedding, when it would be, and who all should come. They decided that it would be May 30th, and on Sweet Apple Acres if the Apples said they could. They would have family and friends for the reception and they needed to get the invitations out soon. So they started to make the list, Chaos wrote down who all he wished could come and Emerald wrote down a list as well, it looked like this...

They looked at other options and things wedding wise until they needed a break.
"Why don't we take a break," Emerald asked as she stretched a little getting a smile from Chaos, "Why don't we walk around and look at houses or something?"
"I'm game," Chaos said as he stood up, he helped Emerald up afterward, "Want to take our sisters with us to keep us awake?"
"I was supposed to watch Raven today," Emerald said as the thought dawned on her, "So yes, let's."
They grabbed their sisters and went on a walk toward town hall. Once they got a list of available apartments they went on the hunt to find the perfect one. None of them had what they were looking for. Half of them had only one room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The other half were close to the Pony-Ville Dump.
"Emerald," Raven said as the were walking around looking for more homes to look at, "I forgot that I needed to go get something from Morning Pie for a school project; can we stop by Sweet Apple Acres?"
"Sure Emerald," Emerald said as they headed toward the farm, "I mean, I don't think Chaos minds so why not."
They walked along the path, talking back and forth, and making a joke here or there.
"Ok," Raven said as she bounced around a bit, "Poptart; knock, knock."
"Who's there?" She asked whilst rolling her eyes.
"What-chya" Raven said.
"What-chya who?" Strawberry said, still not wanting to do another joke.
"WHAT-CHYA MEAN YOU HAVE TO SELL THE FARM?!" A voice not that far away yelled.
Emerald and Chaos looked at each other and bolted toward the main house. When they got there they saw Applejack and Apple Bloom arguing, Morning Pie hiding behind Sparx, and Soarin trying to pull Applejack back.
"Just what I said!" Applejack yelled back, "Look, ever since Mac went to Canterlot I haven't been able to make ends meet!"
"What have you been doing with the money that we give you?" Apple bloom said in furry, "Buying more apple seeds? Applejack, we have to many apple trees as it is!"
"But-"
"QUIET!" Chaos yelled in a megaphone he had made with his magic, "Thank you. Now what is the problem."
"Nothing that concerns you," Apple Bloom said as she looked at Applejack.
"I think that any conversation that can be heard from town is my business," Chaos said as he took a courageous step forward, "Now what seems to be the problem?"
"Applejack has been wasting money on apple seeds," Apple Bloom said, "So now she has to sell the farm because she can't pay the bills!"
I'm going to need more popcorn!
"Where do you plan on going if you do?" Emerald asked as she pushed Raven and Strawberry toward Morning Pie.
"We was plannin' on moving to Soarin's old home." Applejack said as she moved closer to her husband, "Besides, I can't stay here forever; I need to move on."
"But Applejack!" Apple Bloom said as she stomped a hoof, "If you sell the farm, where are Sparx, M.P., and I go?! Did you think of that?!"
"I know where you will go," Chaos intervened, "Nowhere, you will stay in your home."
"How can I when the farm isn't owned by Applejack anymore?!" Apple Bloom said.
"Because I said you may," Chaos said to her before turning to Applejack, "If you are still selling, I would like to buy Sweet Apple Acres.
To make long story short they now own Sweet Apple Acres.
Emerald and Chaos lie in their bed at Sweet Apple Acres dreaming about their time that they might have together. An alarm went off. Chaos wearily opened one eye, gazed at the clock, and flung his hoof around hoping to hit the snooze button. He hit the button on the um-teenth time. He sulked out of bed and stretched to get rid of some sleepiness. He walked around quietly as to not wake his wife... his wife; he smiled at the thought. He resumed his getting ready for the day for he was to go to work. He was getting ready to head downstairs when he heard some shifting on the bed.
"Is it eight already?" Emerald said sleepily as she rubbed her eyes, "I guess I'm just pooped from the traveling."
Chaos smiled at her, walked over to her, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Don't worry, I'll be back by five. Think you can wait that long?"
"I guess so," Emerald said as she kicked of the covers, "I'm going to grab a quick shower and then go into town. Feline told me to give her all of the details from the honeymoon."
"Well," Chaos said as he headed for the door, "I'm going to head out; see you at five."
"Bye!" Emerald called to him before heading to the bathroom for a shower. When she was done and had eaten some breakfast she headed out into town. Feline and Emerald talked about the honeymoon, where they went, and the sights they saw. By the time eleven rolled around it was time for Feline to go which left Emerald to do the one thing she was in town for, a checkup. Doctor Stables, old yet still in practice, had insisted that she come in for a checkup after she got back. She walked into the office and was greeted by a small foal.
"Hi!" The small blue foal said with a smile that would put Pinkies to shame, "My name is Red Band-Aid! How can I help you today?"
Emerald smiled, Band-Aid was Red Heart's daughter and it was not uncommon to see her at the office. "Well," Emerald said matter-of-factly, "I am here for a checkup, aren't I on the list?"
Band-Aid, called Band for short, rushed to the desk where Red Heart sat smiling at the filly. She gave her a clip board that had the list of appointments for today on it and Band scanned the names. After she did she rushed back to Emerald.
"Yes!" She exclaimed with great enthusiasm, "If you will kindly step over to the desk, mommy will get the papers all set!"
Emerald walked over to the desk and filled out the paperwork. After a few minutes she was called into an office for a quick X-ray before she continued with the rest of the checkup. Band was very skilled in this area so she got it all set up and ready to go. After she shooed out by Red Heart, the X-ray began. She looked all over her limbs and skull to make sure she was in good condition bone-wise. But when she got to the stomach over where the womb was, she stopped. Red heart shook her head and rubbed her eyes.
"You just got married, correct?" Red Heart asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"Correct"
"Excuse me for a moment," She said as she stepped out of the room. She didn't come back, but a doctor came in.
"Hello," The blue stallion said, "I am Medical Kit, a pregnancy doctor."
"Pregnancy?" Emerald asked as her eyes flew open wide.
"Yes," Medical said as he took a look at the X-rays, "Red Heart says that she saw something in the area of the womb. You don't mind if I take a look do you?"
"No..." Emerald said in a daze, "Not at all."
Medical looked all over the X-rays, nodded, and smiled at Emerald.
"Congratulations!" He said with great excitement, "You are pregnant!"
"I-" Emerald gasped, "Me- We- I'm-"
"I know," He said as he handed her an X-ray, "Do you see that dot there?" Emerald nodded, "Well, that is a foal."
"If that's a foal," Emerald said as she pointed to the dot, "Then what is that?" She pointed to another dot.
"Well," Medical said as he took a closer look, "Would you look at that! There are two in there! Congratulations! You're pregnant with twins!"
Emerald was very nervous. Hers and Chaos' family was at Sweet Apple Ares for Red Ravens birthday party; they were getting ready to play a game. She had hidden many things around the house for a scavenger hunt of sorts. She had planned a game where she gave cards to specific ponies; those cards told the pony where they needed to go to find their prize. For Twilight and Sweetie Belle, they were on a team, they had to go to the kitchen and look in the oven; Emerald had put a bun in there. For Rumble, Discord, and Chaos, she would have them go to the room directly across from the main one where there was a sign that said, "Daddy, where is my bed." For Poptart and Raven, they would be opening a present each that held a necklace that said "Awesome Auntie"
"Alright Emerald," Sweetie said rolling her eyes, "Why aren't you doing this?"
"Because I set it up," Emerald said as she stuck her tongue out teasingly, "That wouldn't be fair!"
"Fine," Twilight said as she was hoofed the card, "I'll play along."
"Honey," Rumble said as Emerald hoofed the card to him, "I have a feeling that I will be getting... Tickets to the next hoofball game!"
"Oh," Emerald said with a sly grin, "You'll see."
"I'll play along if I must," Discord said with a sigh, "Although, I doubt that it will be hoofball tickets." He winked at Emerald catching her off guard. He knew, oh well, at least he didn't say anything.
"Emerald," Chaos said as he put a wing around her, "Are you sure you don't want me to help you with-"
"Shut up and read the card." Emerald deadpanned.
"Sis," Raven said as she saw that the others had cards, "What do me and Poptart get?"
"You get these gifts," Emerald said as she gave them wrapped boxes with her magic, "But you cannot open them until the others are out of the room, understand?"
"Yes Ma'am," Both fillies said as they watched the others leave. When they were gone they ripped into the presents to see if they could win the prize.
Emerald listened hard; she heard what she was waiting for, a thump from upstairs and hoofs running down the stairs. She then smiled big as she heard screams from the kitchen. Poptart and Raven were putting on the necklaces when Poptart noticed that they said something; she squinted to get a better look...
"YOU'RE PREGNANT?!"
With those words, Twilight and Sweetie were running into the living room and squealing like foals; Chaos tackled Emerald and kissed her hard.
"Did I read that sign upstairs right?" He asked with the biggest smile Emerald had ever seen, "Am I going to be a daddy?"
"Yes," Emerald said as she prepared to be bombarded with questions and big hugs, "Yes you are."
Emerald opened her eyes slowly; pain struck her as the sun burned her eyes. After her eyes finally got used to the brightness that intruded her wonderful sleep, she looked over to see that Chaos had already gone to work. She sighed at this because they hardly got to spend any time together this week. It was a good thing he had off tomorrow or she would have forced him to stay. She got out of bed, reluctantly, and headed downstairs. She didn't care that her mane was a mess. She walked into the kitchen and saw that Chaos had left her a note.
Hey Em, woke up early and decided to have some real breakfast. There are chocolate chip pancakes in the fridge and a phone number on the fridge. Call the number because it is about getting some foal furniture. I think you can handle this. P.S. Please take the cart.
Emerald smiled. Chocolate chip pancakes were not her favorite but still he had thought to save some. Oh well, today was going to be a big day so she hurried and ate some pancakes, grabbed a shower, called the number, and headed for town. She and Stellar Bubbles had plans to look at paint samples later for the rooms the foals would have.
"Hey Stellar," Emerald said when she saw her sitting on a bench by the paint store, "Glad to see you didn't forget!"
"Seriously," Stellar deadpanned, "I'm late one time and now I get teased about it!"
Emerald tried hard to stifle a laugh but failed, none the less.
"Oh," Stellar said as she sent a glare Emerald's way, "If you weren't pregnant I would have creamed you for that!"
"Whatever," Emerald said as she rolled her eyes, "So are we looking at paint samples or not?"
The two finally, after a bit of arguing, went inside of the paint store. They found some amazing color combinations and some... not so amazing.
"Stellar Bubbles!" Emerald exclaimed with her eyes opened wide, "Put that back now! Red and purple do NOT go with each other!"
After explaining that you never put green with brown, they finally found a few colors that might work. They parted ways and Emerald went to go get the cart so that she could take the furniture to Sweet Apple Acres. She was walking by Sugar Cube Corner when she remembered that they were out of raisin cookies; she went and picked up ten dozen. She started to head for home when she heard what sounded like sniffling in the ally behind the sweet treatery. She creped slowly through the alley until she saw the silhouette of a pony; Emerald squinted at the silhouette. She gasped, it was the figure of a foal!
"Who's there?!" The foal called, "Stay back! I'm warning you!"
"Hello," Emerald called out calmly, "Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter," The figure said backing up, "I know why you're here, you're here to take me back to that orphanage! I'm not going back, I'm not going to get beat again!"
"Beat!" Emerald exclaimed as she inched forward slightly, "Tell me now, who beat you."
"The headmistress of Canterlot Orphanage," The foal said as it started to move forward as well, "She is the one who ignores us. She is the one who refuses to hire anypony or give us food. Why, if I had the chance I would punch that mare right in the-"
"Who are you?" Emerald interrupted, "Please, tell me that much."
"Why should I?" The foal said with a hint of anger in it's voice.
"Because I know what it's like there," Emerald said stomping her hoof down, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"I'm sorry," The foal said as it headed back into the alley, "If you really care, come back tomorrow!" The foal rushed off, leaving Emerald standing there.
"Oh no you don't!" Emerald exclaimed as she used her magic to lift the foal towards her, "You are not going anywhere! Well, you're coming home with me, but you get the idea. Or do you, are you understanding what I'm saying because I sure don't!"
The foal was lifted into Emerald's view; it was a tomato red, unicorn filly with a dandelion yellow mane and olive eyes. She looked at Emerald with a confused look in her eyes.
"What's wrong with you," the filly said as she gave Emerald a suspicious look, "Seriously, what's wrong with you?"
Emerald laughed and set the filly back down on the ground.
"So sorry," Emerald said as she reached for a cookie in her saddle bag, "Here. My name is Emerald Isle, what's your name?"
"Why would you care?!" the filly shouted, she then started to cry, "Nopony cares, why would you be any different?"
"Because I have felt like you have," Emerald said catching the filly off guard, "You see, I was born when my mom was almost fifteen. Because of this I was teased all the time; I was called the green mistake! I would tell my mom and she was so busy working that all she would say was, 'that's nice sweetie.' After a talk with the principal about my grades and an explanation of what was going on, my mom tried to rearrange her work schedule so that she could help me with my school."
"At least you have a mom," the filly mumbled.
"I won't have any of that mumbling!" Emerald said assertively, "If you are to stay under my roof there will be rules."
"Why would you want me to stay with you," the filly asked, "I'm a nopony!"
"Nopony's a nopony," Emerald said as she levitated the foal onto her back, "Come on, let's go home."
"Rose..." The filly whispered.
"Excuse me?" Emerald asked as they left the alley.
Chaos opened the door to his home, exhausted from the days activities. He was working with his dad, Discord, to build a new library. Twilight, his mom, had requested that it be designed then the base be layed before they used magic to build it. The base was finally done and tomorrow the hole thing would be finished.
"Excuse me," Rose said as she peered around the corner, "Mr. Chaos, where do you keep the air freshener?"
"Rose," Chaos said with a chuckle, "I told you to call me Chaos, it makes me feel old when Mr. is put in front of my name- why do you need air freshener?"
Rose gave him a look that said "you know why."
"Ah," Chaos said as he headed to the broom closet, "So, I can tell that she has gotten sick already."
"I can't take it any more!" Rose told him after she was handed a can of air freshener, "I'm in the room next to the bathroom so what do you think I hear all the time?!"
Chaos tried to hide a grin but failed, none the less, "Look, Rose, I know that it must be weird, but this is going to be going on for a while. I don't know how long."
"I was up there a few minutes before you came home," Rose explained as they headed up the stairs, "I asked if I could help at all but all she said was to get the Fabreeze and that it might be a good idea to go for a walk."
"I see," Chaos said as they reached the top of the stairs. The bathroom was at the top of the stairs so Chaos told Emerald that he and rose were going on a walk. The headed back downstairs and did just that. They walked through town; to Rose's delight, there was a fair in town.
"So," Chaos said as he paid for some cotton candy, "What would you like to do first?"
"I don't know," Rose said as Chaos hoofed the cotton candy to her, "How about the sky scraper thingy?"
"The 'death drop' I like to call it," Chaos chuckled as he sneaked some cotton candy, "Are you sure you want to do that?"
"Yes!"
"Don't expect me to join you," Chaos laughed as they walked toward the ride, "I don't think I can take that kind of 'thrill'"
"Oh come on," Rose said as she bounced a little, "It will be fu-"
RUUUUUUUUUN
Both Rose and Chaos looked toward the direction that everypony was running away from. The bumper cars, next to the 'death drop', had burst into flames. Chaos grabbed Rose, catching her off guard, and ran. As they were running, the fireponies were rushing to the scene to put the fire out. Whilst they were doing this, they were knocking some ponies out of their way. One of said ponies was Chaos. The firemare rammed into Chaos, catching him off guard, which sent rose flying off of his back. She landed right in the path of the fire-engine headed for the bumper cars. Chaos had but a moment to think of what to do so he did the first thing that came to mind. He ran, shoved Rose out of the way just in time... for Rose. Rose had but a second to look up at her hero to see the fire-engine's breaks screech, but with no avail, not stopping in time.
...Hey daddy... it's me. I'm the only pony here right now and I just heard the doctor say to somepony else that talking might help wake the patient up. Daddy, I know that I am the reason that you are in here right now, I just want to know... *sniff*... why? Why did you do that? You could have been living your happy life right now if it wasn't for me! Why did you do it...
"Because..." Chaos choked, "You are worth it."
"Daddy?" Rose said as her head snapped up, "Daddy, did you say something?!"
"Yes," Chaos choked again, "I said that you are worth it, being in here I mean."
"Daddy!" Rose exclaimed, "You're awake!" Rose started to give him a hug but remembered what the doctor said and simple laid her head on his stomach, "It's been a long time daddy."
"How long was I asleep," Chaos asked.
"Three weeks," Rose said as she put her hoof near Chaos', "Mommy is at Great Aunt Rarity's house right now. Something about getting some ferbal tea."
"It's herbal tea, honey," Chaos laughed before groaning, "I guess I'm not patched up yet, huh?"
"You can say that again," Nurse Red Heart said as she walked into the room, "You were out for three weeks! You want the full extent or the brief?"
"Full" Chaos said with a groan.
"I'm surprised you can talk right now," Red Heart said as she grabbed a clip board, "Let's see... you have five broken ribs, your back leg is broke as well... Brain damage; you could do magic like your dad, right?"
"Some," Chaos answered as he stroked his good hoof on, the now sleeping, Rose's mane.
"Then expect to see a little less," Red heart said as she put the clip board back, "I would also stay in bed for a month or two."
"Lovely," Chaos said, "When do I get out of here?"
"Next week at the least," Red heart said as she headed for the door, "I'm going to call Emerald and tell her that you're awake."
"Great," Chaos said as he used his good hoof to try and move a pillow on his stomach, successfully. He then tried to put rose on it but failed. Red Heart rolled her eyes and used her magic to gently put rose on the pillow then left the room. It was soon after that he joined Rose in slumber land...
