Duel of the Millennium

Celestia belives that peace can be done if we all become friends, I believe it can be done through power. She thinks harmony can be done if we are able to express our thoughts, I know that can never work. And one way or another she will see it my way

Celestia is a fool. She truly believes that peace and harmony could be obtain if we all settle our differences and became friends, she believes that if all of the nations in the world unite to create a 'alliance', that it will improve their people's ideas that we can all be friends. She's a hypocrite, she claims that her ponies are all about 'peace', 'love', and 'tolerance', little does she know that only extends to ponies, to us non ponies we get beaten, feared, hated, and shun.
True peace can only be achieved through power, true harmony can only be achieved if all are united under one single banner. The Illusion Kingdom, my kingdom, will grantee anyone true equality, true love and tolerance, no one will be ridicule simply for not being a pony! The Minotaur's were the only ones to accept and practice my philosophy, and as a result I had been their tactician during their war against the ponies. But soon all will be united under one rule...under one banner.... the fool will soon learn the true meaning of peace and harmony...
"Welcome all my honored guests
To the ultimate duel of the best of the best
At my invitation you come to compete
For the honor of suffering the final defeat~"

I like to consider myself a patient person. I really do. I don't get angry very often, I can always keep a hold of my tongue when annoyed, though I can usually tolerate anyone for having different views, however there is always one pony who I can't ever tolerate, her and her views.

"Celestia."

Though it could be that ever since I came here to Equestria my ideals have changed, for one thing, I used to believe in the idea of freewill, but now? I think the idea of freewill as a joke. Freewill is something that opposes harmony, freewill causes differences, differences causes fear, fear causes anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering, it's a pretty straight forward thing. Yet whenever I try to explain things to her, she comes up with some, excuse the language, random-ass bullshit as to why freewill is a good thing. Honestly, you'd think she'd be the avatar of chaos with thinking like that, but no, that title belongs to my rival, Discord.

"Tell me Celestia, what is harmony but the suppression of free will?"

Celestia stood rigid, wondering if she heard him correctly, "What?" She hissed, narrowing her eyes.

"Harmony only exists when there is order, order only exists when ponies get along. Ponies only get along when they are not different. Differences are caused by free will, fear, and hatred. So, isn't the fastest path to harmony the absolution of free will?" Sighing I decided to continue, "Honestly Celestia, we've been through the same song and dance, isn't time you've finally accepted my views as the one true path to harmony?"

Celestia gritted her teeth in anger, "how dare you say that your corrupted beliefs in harmony, are the one true path!" Levitating her blade, she got into a battle stance, "It's time for you to pay for your crimes Pegasus!"

I rolled my eyes in irritation, "This again, fine since your going to be so stubborn about this," I pull out a card from my deck, "Then let's finish this!" Looking at the card I drew, I immediately began forming a plan, "Dark Rabbit is a four star monster, and a rather weak one at that." Looking up, I saw Celestia already charging at me with her sword, "Dammit," Dodging her attack, I looked at the other cards in my hand, "hmm... If I equip Dark Rabbit with the power of Negative Energy, then he'll be able to buy me some time." I quickly looked at my the metal gauntlet in my wrist, "I have ten summoning points left, and 2000 life points left, let's just hope this works."

"I summon Dark Rabbit into the field!" A bright light suddenly covered the area around us when it disappeared, a dark purple rabbit appeared, a huge grin threating to split his face in half. On it was a purple armored vest, he laughed when he spotted Celestia. "Now I will equip him with this! Negative Energy!"

Suddenly the rabbit began to grow, until he practically towered Celestia, "Now Dark Rabbit attack Princess Celestia!" The Rabbit's grin widen, pouncing at Celestia, he delivered a nasty uppercut, causing her fly a few feet away.

I drew another card, taking advantage of the situation, "My, my," Looking over Celestia, I smirked, "Looks like this is the end for you my old friend," Suddenly a strange, yet catchy tune filled the area,, "Celestia my friend, it's time I introduce you to Toon World!" Slamming the card down onto the Duel Disk I grinned as large green pop-up book appeared, the book landed in front of me, on the pages of the book, sat a large gloomy castle, several tombstones sat besides it."It's time to say your prayers Celestia,"

Suddenly my heart begun hurt, clutching it, I looked at my Duel Disk to find out why, "2000 life points dropping to 1000!" I looked at my Toon World, it glowed sinisterly, "That's right, Toon World requires a 1000 life point tribute, dammit! I've should've been paying attention!"

"What's wrong Pegasus? Did your little children's book take out more of you than you thought?" Celestia said mockingly.

"Damn her....," "Dark Rabbit attack!" The maniacal bunny lunged at Celestia, it's fist turning into a boxing glove.

"SISTER!!!" Suddenly a blue magical blast hit Dark Rabbit in the chest, causing his body to shatter like glass.

"AAAHHH!" I clenched my heart again, a great pain taking over my heart again. A mechanical voice spoke out to me, "PEGASUS LIFE POINTS DROPPED DOWN TO 600 POINTS." '600?!' A sense of dread filled me. Suddenly hope began to spark when the voice spoke out again, "DECK MASTER'S DARK MAGICAN GIRL, AND KURIBOH HAVE APPEARED INTO THE FIELD."

"YOU LITTLE WHORE! COME BACK HERE! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!" Everyone turned to the source of the screaming, and saw a small brown ball of fur, with green claws and feet, two big adorable eyes currently in a angry expression. "NO ONE RUNS AWAY FROM THE GREAT JACK KURIBOH!"

"Oh give it a rest Jack," The second figure appeared, revealing a blonde girl, she wore a small blue skirt, a pink armored vest, and a big magician's hat, on her hand was a blue and yellow magic staff. She twirled her staff, "You know no one takes a cute little furball like you seriously."

The Kuriboh, 'Jack', fumed, "CUTE?! HOW DARE YOU CALL ME CUTE! YOU LITTLE BITCH!"

The magician's eyes narrowed, "Excuse me?" She hissed, "You little furball, I could easily send you to the graveyard without breaking a sweat."

Jack didn't back down, "I'd like to see you try, you whore!" Jack pulled a small flute and played it, "Flute of summoning Kuriboh!" Suddenly a portal appeared above them, the portal deposited several multicolored Kuriboh like creatures, "KURIBOH BROTHERS, ASSEMBLE!" The Kuriboh's assembled behind Jack, trying to look treating as possible, "KURIBOH BROTHERS FUSE!" The small multicolored creatures began to circle Jack, a blinding white light covered the whole place, "BEHOLD ALICE! MY FINAL FORM! KURIBABYLON!" The light disappeared, revealing a large blue ball of fur, four large fangs sticking out of his mouth, a long horn sticking out of his forehead.

I face palmed at the sight of my 'heroes.' "More like idiots.", "Could you guys stop fighting right now! Incase you forgot our enemies are right in front of us!" The two stopped fighting, blushing, they apologized to each other.

Suddenly a blue magical blast hit the Kuribabylon causing him to fall face first into the floor. Looking over to the source of the blast, I saw Princess Luna healing Celestia, "Oh no you don't," Drawing a card, I grinned, "I sacrifice six of my summoning point's in order to summon, my Toon Summon Skull!"

A pair of blue claws popped out of the gloomy castle, gripping the sides of the book, it pulled itself of with a 'yoink'. The creature revealed itself to be a blue demon like creature, the creature had large cartoony yellow eyes that with red pupils. The toon crackled sinisterly, "Toon Summoned Skull attack," The Toon extended it's arms, shooting a yellow lighting bolt at the two sisters.

But the attack never connected, before the lighting bolt could hit them, it melted into a pile of goo, "Discord."

At the sound of his name, the said dracconequess appeared, "My. My. I love what you've done with the place Pegasus," He walked over to the Toon, causing it to sneer at him,"Well, well ,well, is this that Toon project you were going on about? Honestly I find it very hard to believe that something this chaotic, could belong to you."

I sneered, "Toon Summon Skull attack!" The toon threw out multiple lighting bolts as if they were spears.

Discord snapped his claws, causing the lighting bolts to stop suddenly and turn around, piercing my toons body. "No!" The monster's body shattered like glass, luckily I didn't lose any life points. "You monster! How could you hurt a innocent toon!"

Discord growled at me, "We both know that, that toon of yours is far from innocent." Reaching over to my Duel Disk, he took out my Toon Summoned Skull from it, "So Pegasus, how many did you have to sacrifice just to get this card?" Looking at the card, he sneered, "Cause I can tell that this card is more than just a cartoony counter part of the Summoned Skull, judging by the amount of stars in it, I'd say around six pony souls, am I right Pegasus," He spat out my name as if it was venom.

Chuckling I answered, "Come now Discord, I thought you of all people knew that you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs." Reaching over to my Millennium items, I took out the Millennium Rod, "In fact, I believe that you and I aren't to different after all, everyone has a dark side. In fact I think yours just needs to be brought out!" Extending the rod, it fired a invisible hook onto Discord.

"AHHH!" Discord clenched his heart in pain.

"Now why don't we bring out this dark side of yours!" Pulling the rod back, I saw a dark aura beginning to take over, "Hahaha, you should have given up Discord, after all in a fight of Chaos vs Harmony, who is it that always win?"

"Thou is not the agent of Harmony you cur!" Looking behind me, I saw Alice and Jack being slowly turned into stone, "Heh, we wish it didn't have to come to this Pegasus, but thou gave us no choice!" I saw Celestia walking over to Luna, six gems floating besides them, "These are the true weapons of harmony! Behold the Elements of Harmony!" The gems fired a rainbow beam of light at me, I found myself being unable to move, "What?"

"No. No. No. NO!" A great pain over took me, I saw my life points begin to drop to 0, why didn't I see this coming? Why didn't I bring my Millennium Necklace with me?! We didn't I use my Millennium Eye?!

"Heh. Heh. Heh. The gates to the Shadow Realm have opened, and with it your demise Pegasus!"

The last thing I saw was darkness.

A small purple unicorn filly stood outside of the playground, sitting in one of the tables. Looking around her, she saw all of the children playing, running around, or just hanging out with their friends. She took out an apple and started eating, ignoring all of the laughing and screaming around her.

She looked at her classmates cutie marks, all of them looking somewhat normal, an apple, a cat, a bug, a hammer, and so on. Starlight’s, on the other hoof, had the, as her other classmate put it, the weird cutie mark of a shooting star. Which might not have stood out, if it didn’t have six other stars circling around it, she remembered how she got it, it was during magic practice when she was able to cast the most and the best spells without breaking a sweat, her special talent is magic.

"How come she get’s seven stars,” she remembered a filly saying, “and most of us only get one of three things?”

“I tell yay,” and had adult said once behind her back, “that foal was already nothing but bad news, reading Minotaurian textbooks, and that crazy uncle of hers! I heard that the last filly who had a magic talent, tried to overthrow the princess. I tell yay, she’ll be nothing but trouble”

She heard a group of ponies snicker. Looking up, she saw a group of colts laughing. They were laughing at her, but she could only imagine what they were saying about her. She clenched her apple in her magic, and took a long deep breath. It was likely her mind was just playing tricks with her and—

“Is that her?” Starlight heard the leader of the group, a small brown colt named Dumbbell snickered as her classmates laughed with him.

The other colt, a small orange pegasus named Hoofshot, laughed, "Yup! You should have heard what she said during history class!"

History. The memory of what she said during there was still fresh in her mind.

"Now class, will anypony please tell me what this creature is and why it is important?" The old grey mane unicorn pointed at the image in the old text book. The creature in the image wore a red tuxedo with white pants, he had a snow white mane reaching to his shoulders, the creature's right eye was golden while the other was looked normal, under him there stood a large number of monsters. Under the image was the word of what the creature represented, 'Tyranny'.

"Starlight Glimmer."

The purple filly looked up at her teacher, "Yes Miss Lecture?"

The old pony fixed her glasses, "Starlight could you read to the class as to why this creature is labeled tyranny?"

Starlight nodded, "Tyranny is an old and evil spirit that had the ability to summon monsters sealed inside playing cards, with his army of demons he went out into the world corrupting all those who would listen. Tyranny spread false and wicked beliefs of harmony, claiming that if there were any differences such as Cutie Marks, that harmony would be unbalanced, leaving room for Chaos to move in. The Minotaur's were the first of many to fall for his wicked beliefs, once the Minotaur Empire and Equestria went to war with each other, Tyranny led the Minotaur army with the help of his demon army. During the final days of the war, Princess Celestia and Luna stormed the Minotaur fortress in a final confrontation against Tyranny, the battle was won, but a great cost, equestrian spy and Spirit of Chaos, Discord became corrupted and claimed Equestria as his own after the war ended."

Lecture smiled, "Very good Starlight, now lets move on to-"

Suddenly the purple filly's hoof shot up.

"Um, yes Starlight?"

Starlight put her hoof down, "Miss Lecture, why do the Minotaurian textbooks about Tyranny call him the Spirit of Harmony and not Tyranny?"

The old pony slowly started to lose her smile, "Excuse me?"

Starlight continued, "I mean, in the Minotaurian textbooks, it's always talks about how much of a hero he was, and how he freed the Minotaur's form their evil king."

Lecture cleared her throat, "Now Starlight-"

"And no only that, they also talk about how he has two friends who would help him out, the Spirit of Wrath, and the Spirit of Magic."

"Starlight Glimmer that's enough!"

Starlight yelped, the rest of the class laughed at her.

"Now I don't want to hear any more of this nonsense, is that clear Ms. Glimmer!" Starlight whimpered, "Good."

Fire flashed in Starlight's eyes, and she threw her half eaten apple at the colt.

“Ow,” Dumbbell cried as it hit him. “what the?” He turned to see Starlight glaring at him. “Freak!” The next thing he knew, the purple unicorn foal had slammed into him as said pony pinned him down.

“I’m not a freak,” Starlight shouted, “you are!”

All too soon, she was levitated away from the colt into the magical grasp of a teacher.

“Starlight,” the teacher sighed.

Starlight sniffled. “Why do you hate me!” she said and soon enough everypony had begun to stare.

“We don’t hate you,” the teacher tried to ensure.

Dumbbell, though, had other things to say. “Why does she have to be so weird?”

"Dumbbell!” the teacher snapped.

“What?” The colt said, “I’m just saying what we’re all thinking.”

It was in that moment of distraction that Starlight was able to wiggle free of her teacher's grasps. she landed on the ground with an, ‘oomph', and looked around at all the frightened faces, faces, she felt, were staring at her, all because she thought differently. Before anyone could react, Starlight Glimmer took off into a gallop. Away from all of them, and their judgmental eyes.

Symmetrical Glimmer had just finished filling the paperwork for her daughter latest outburst when she heard the door to the house fly open. "Oh, hey... Starlight?" she said to the purple and blue blur that flew past her in tears.

"Starlight?" her mother called after her as she heard the door to her daughters room slam. "Starlight?" she called as she advanced towards the room. "Sweetie, is everything okay?"

"No!" she heard her daughter screamed.

"Starlight please-"

"NO!"

Knowing that trying to get her to open would be pointless, she sighed and went back down stairs, leaving Starlight to her thoughts.

Starlight clung onto the golden object hidden behind her hoofs, as if it was the only sense of comfort she has. "Uncle Fin." Starlight sobbed into the object, she pulled it away so she can get a look of the object. The object was a golden ring with a triangle in the middle, multiple needles stick out of the ring, a golden eye design was decorated on the triangle. Starlight hugged the object again, "Uncle Fin, I wish you were here."

The object started to glow, "What- what's going on?!" She yelled.

The needles around the ring started spinning uncontrollably, as the object began to glow brighter, the filly covered her eyes. Suddenly she disappeared.

Somewhere outside of the town, Starlight Glimmer winked in near the edge of a cave. She had been able to teleport before, but never very far. This venture had nearly drained her, she fell on her knees, feeling the fatigue of the forced teleportation. She looked at the ring like object in front of her, the needles were all pointing towards the cave.

"What the—" she began, but halted when she heard a whisper from the cave.

"The ring....."

"What?" she said as she stood up. Curiosity begun to overweigh any fear she might of had, she ventured into the cave. Deeper, and deeper she went. With each step, the voice seemed to grow louder, and louder.

"The Millennium Ring!" It said with more volume.

"Who's there?" Starlight asked as she got closer to the source of the noise.

"The Ring has found a wielder..... Perhaps she could free us?"

After a while, starlight came to a turn in the cave. On the other side, she could clearly hear the voice and see a bright light eliminating off the corner. She paused, not sure if she wanted to go any further. Then, taking a deep breath, she turned the corner.

Facing her, were three statues, one of them she recognized as Tyranny, the others she recognized from the old Minotaurian textbooks, the spirit of magic, and the spirit of wrath.

"Now isn't this something?"

"She's going to help us? How?!"

"Hey! Don't be so harsh on her! The Millennium Ring is with her right? So that means that she'll be the one to help us!"

"HA! Someone like her?! I wouldn't bet on it."

"Would you two be quiet!" Once the two voices stopped arguing, she saw the right eye of Tyranny's statue glow, "Starlight?" The voice boomed, causing her to cower on the ground with her hooves above her head. "You wish for nopony to be different?"

Starlight looked up, shocked at how, whatever it was, had know what she wanted. "Ye... yes," she said timidly. "But how did you know?"

"I have seen it in your heart," The voice, which she had come to assuming was Tyranny, replied. "You have been through so much. Pain, pain for having a talent that others envy, pain of being teased. And why? Because the world is in a current state of disharmony."

Starlight looked up at the statue, shocked.

"Ponies turn on others who are different, and why? Because ponies fear things that are different. But you Starlight, you are still young, you still haven't been corrupted by the false beliefs of your rulers. You can make them see the true meaning of Harmony."

Starlight looked up at the statue, not sure what to make of his offer. "Ho... How?"

"I have great power," He answered, "I am able to take your mark that you've despised so much." To make his point, her cutie mark glowed. "Now, imagine a world where everyone's cutie mark was the same," It flashed into an equal sign, "then no one would be better than the other. No friends would have to separate because of their different interests and destinies. No one would tease anyone for having a 'lame' cutie mark. No one will be unhappy. Finally there will be Harmony."

"We...Well," she replied, "that does sound... Nice," she grinned, but then her eyes narrowed. "But what if they don't want to give up their cutie mark?"

"That's why it will be our job to show them the way to one true path to Harmony. Yes, you will need to make them want to, understand, and accept your ideals. "

"And all you have to do, is free us...."

Ch.3- The Displaced?

“Mr. Pegasus, where are we going?”

The man, known as Maximilian Pegasus turned to the small filly besides him. “Starlight, we are going to the temple of the shadows. It’s not to far from here.” Looking at the duel disk on his wrist, he grimaced. “There is one located on the bottom of this stronghold.” Taking out three monster cards, he sacrificed all of his summoning points, “Star, I like to introduce you to your guards/guide!” Slamming the cards into the duel disk, he summoned out three ‘Toon’ monsters. The Toon Masked Sorcerer, The Toon Cannon Soldier, and Toon Alligator.

Starlight panicked when she saw the three ‘Toons’, but calmed down when she realized that they weren’t going to attack her. “Ummm… Hi?” She said hesitantly. The young filly became tense when she saw the trio move closer, and to her astonishment, they spoke.

“Ah! Hello young filly!” The sorcerer said, shaking her hoof.

“You can talk?!” Starlight yelled, astonished.

The alligator nodded, “Yup! We’re the Toon Trio.”

“We’re Pegasus’ right hand monsters!” The cannon toon explained. “And now-!” The three Toons huddled together all of them seaming to prepare for something, “Weeee areeee-”

“YOUR NEW GUIDES/BODYGUARDS!!” The three yelled, the cannon soldier fired confetti at her.

Pegasus rolled his eyes at his monster’s display. Then again, what could he expect from a bunch of Toons? He continued walking, not caring much if he left them behind. After all, the Toons are there to protect her if anything bad were to happen. “Toons!” He said, grabbing the three’s attention. “I want you to guard this filly. If anything were to happen to her, then it’ll be on your heads!” The Toons nodded and gave a mock salute. The trio, along with Starlight started to shuffle their way into the stronghold, making sure to not disturb Pegasus in anyway.

After walking for several minutes, a shining object near the side of the wall caught his attention. “My my, what is this?” He walked to the object to get a closer look. The Object looked a lot like a stone that would fit the palm of his hand (Or Starlight’s hoof for that matter) and had a strange marking on it. Like some sort of symbol. Not like an egyptian hieroglyph, but more like the inscriptions of most common spellbooks. “My my, Starlight?” He called the filly over. “Does this symbol mean anything to you?”

Hearing the human’s question, Starlight looked at it. “I-i’m not sure. It looks kind of… Dim. Maybe if I rub it a little, I can see it better.”

Turns out, the filly’s hoof rubbing it caused the stone to warmly glow in the filly’s hoof. Startled by the reaction, the unicorn dropped the stone. But seconds later, a flash of light went off, followed by a new presence exiting a dark overhang he ended up in.

“Hmm? A filly? That’s… New.” It said. The filly was now looking at a figure similar to Pegasus, but different in appearance as it stood up straight. It wore a long red coat with a black sleeveless undershirt and pants. It had a sword strapped to it’s back and also had silver plated shoes.

Pegasus looked at the new arrival, shocked! This being was another human, he thought that only Alice and Jack (If he can even be considered human) were the only humans left. He grabbed five cards from his deck and stood ready. “Step away from the filly.”

The New figure turned to see Pegasus, a little surprised himself. “Easy there my friend. I don’t mean any harm. You did summon me after all.”

Pegasus blinked, a bit surprised about what the boy said. Looking at his duel disk, he panicked seeing that there wasn’t a card with his picture on it. “If I did summon you, then tell me…” He showed his duel disk to the new arrival. “Why is it that your card isn’t here!”

“Card?” He asked. “No, I don’t mean that kind of summoning. I mean using my token.”

“Token?” Pegasus looked at the object Starlight had picked up. “You mean that?"

“Thats right.” Nicko said. He then thought something… This guy was like Bryce back in his world. “I’m assuming that you’re a Displaced?”

“Displaced?” He asked, letting himself relax; but still ready for an attack. “Tell me, what’s a Displaced?”

“It’s short for Dimensionally Misplaced. I’ve met others who ended up in different versions of Equestria because of different circumstances. But to make it simple, The Multiverse Theory allows for the possibility of Multiple different versions of Equestria to exist. Which also allows for other people to become Displaced as well. Plus, Displaced have what is called a “Summoning Token”. Something that is based off of the character or person that they are. For you two, you found my Rune Slayer Mark.”

Pegasus put a hand over his Millenium Eye, deactivating it. He had scanned his mind for any lies or for any malicious intentions, and so far found none. “So there are other Displaced around the multiverse?”

The Rune Slayer nodded his head. “Yes. I’ve met four of them so far. Two of them being dragons. You would be considered number five. My name is Nicko, by the way. Nicko Nocte.”

“Pegasus. Maximilian Pegasus.”

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Pegasus.” Nicko said, now looking at the young filly that was with him. “What’s your name, Miss?”

Starlight hid herself behind Pegasus’ leg. “It’s Starlight. Starlight Glimmer.”

Now that caught Nicko by surprise. Deathwing had told him that a mare by that same name could steal somepony’s Cutie Mark. But, this was not like anything he expected. She was way younger. It almost reminded him of Fluttershy based on how timid she was. Maybe he could befriend her so she wouldn’t go down whatever path would lead her to wanting to steal other’s cutie marks. A little kindness can go a long way.

“Pleased to meet you, Ms. Starlight. It’s okay, I’m not going to hurt you.”

“I wouldn’t be to sure of that young miss.” The Toon Sorcerer said, floating in front of her. “After all we don’t know much about him.” The two other Toons ran towards her, and stood defensively.

Playing along with what the toons said, Nicko spoke again. “Well, I’m human. Twenty five years old, got imprisoned in stone for seven years in an act to protect my brother from a psychotic esper and I woke up to find out that I have a Twelve year old Niece. Plus, I’m capable of Rune Magic.” The last part, Nicko demonstrated with a snap of his fingers and a small Ice Rune appearing in his hands. The center of the rune showing a snowflake.

“I don’t mean to be frightening. I just want to be friends with you guys.” The Rune Slayer commented, focusing it on Starlight and trying to comfort her.

Starlight poked her head out of Pegasus’ leg, looking at Nicko, she hid herself away, still feeling shy. “Umm….”

At Starlight’s hesitance, the Toon Sorcerer flew in front of him. “There you see! She rather be with us! And doesn’t need another human to be with her!” He finished, crossing his arms.

“Yes, but there’s something that I can relate to. I was once in a position like her. Scared, Shy and Alone. My brother and I both. We were in a orphanage from when we were six for about twelve years because our parents disappeared. Many people picked on me and teased me for not just being the kid without a father or mother, but because of other things like how tall I am and other things. But, I learned that if you stand up for yourself and have someone there to support you, you can be able to overcome anything. My friend Leo taught me that. He was there since Day 1 and I feel like he still has my back even though he’s back home and I’m here.”

Starlight hesitantly walked over to Nicko and tried to hug him. “Well I could be your friend, I was picked on too!” She looked back at her cutie mark. “They picked on me because they were jealous of my cutie mark.” She instantly brighten up. “And Pegasus is trying to teach me about true harmony!”

Nicko returned the hug the filly was trying to give him. “See? There’s always a reason for you to be proud of yourself. If you can get this far with him, you can accomplish anything.”

Pegasus cleared his throat, catching the attention of the group, “Yes while I’d hate to disrupt such a heartwarming scene, we do have a temple to be in.” He looked at Starlight. “Starlight, could I borrow the Millenium Ring you have?”

The filly pulled out the ring from her saddle bags, and hand it to him. “Here you go Mr. Pegasus!” Grabbing the Millenium Ring, the ring started to glow, the needles started pointing to a specific direction.

Turning to Nicko, Pegasus addressed him. “You are welcomed to come with us if you’d like, but I must get to the temple to replenish my life points.”

“I would, but I need to return to my niece.” Nicko told both Pegasus and Starlight. “Though, Displaced do have summoning tokens to call upon each other in times of need. Would you happen to have one so I can call upon you two if I need to? It’ll be great to see you too again.”

“Unfortunately no, but I can create one!” Searching his deck for a specific card, he took out his Toon World card. “A token could be anything, correct?”

“Yes.” Nicko responded. “My Elder Dragon teacher Ryu gave me this for himself.” To show what he meant, the Rune Slayer held out a golden insignia of a dragon with a tear like jewel in the center. “If I remember correctly, your toon monsters are based off of the Toon World spellbook, correct?”

“That is correct.” He answered, “Their power comes from the book, without it they’re doomed.”

“Well, why don’t you create a replica of the book? It can be pocket sized, like a small notebook. But when you put your magic into it, it can grow into it’s full size. Additionally, putting a little more energy could allow me to summon both of you.”

The Rune Slayer had a very valid point. Pegasus looked at the card, slamming it onto the duel disk. The book was summoned, a very familiar melody came out of it. “Well, here goes nothing.” Pouring his magic into the book, the pop-up book closed and landed in front of him. “Is there something I’m supposed to say?”

“Anything you believe that the other Displaced who find it would want to hear. For me, I have this.” Nicko said as both the filly and the human heard an echo.

I am Nicko. The Rune Slayer with a kind heart. The power that's in my grasp and that you control will become the power that the darkness will fear. May there be light on the roads that you travel.

“See? Simple as that.”

Pegasus looked on, intrigued. Perhaps this could prove to help him in the future! “Alright, let’s begin!” Grabbing the Toon World book, he opened it and gave a small speech. "True peace can only be achieved through power, true harmony can only be achieved if all are united under one single banner. If you are ever in need of assistance or if you are a fellow warrior of Harmony, summon us and we will come to you. I am Pegasus, Spirit of Harmony, and the wielder of the Millennium Items."

Closing the book, he looked at Nicko. “Now, how do I send it?”

“Just have your Toon Sorcerer open a small tear in space and toss it in, I guess. Mind sparing me a copy though before you do so?”

Nodding, he pulled out another card and summoned it. “Doppelganger! Come on out!” Slamming the card down, the Toon World theme played again. A long blue cat-like creature appeared and flew next to Pegasus. “Doppelganger, please be a dear and make a Toon World copy for our dear friend.” The cat saluted, glowing white, he transformed himself into a copy of the Toon World token. “There you are, my good friend.”

“Thank you, Pegasus. Oh and Starlight? Go ahead and keep my token. Call upon anytime you need my help.” The Rune Slayer said, before creating a return portal to his world and waving goodbye. Before stepping through though, Nicko left behind a small parting gift. A small frozen sculpture of Pegasus and Starlight that was actually created through the Ice Rune he conjured earlier. It Sparkled in the minimal light that shined in the corridor.

Starlight gasped, looking at the sculpture as she smiled. “Thank you. It’s beautiful.”

Pegasus looked at the sculpture and grinned. “Well now, Sorcerer!” The Toon perked up. “I need you to send this across the multiverse.” He said, passing the Toon World token to his Toon. The Masked Sorcerer pulled out a pair of scissors, and literally started to cut a hole in the space.

Looking at the token, he threw it and waved. “Bye bye now!”

Turning his back from the portal, Pegasus started walking towards the temple entrance, "Come on Starlight! We need to start your training!"

Starlight picked up the frozen sculpture and carefully set it on her saddlebags, "Coming Mr. Pegasus!" The filly ran towards her teacher, the Toons following closely behind.

Ch.4- A Nobodies ideals and Harmonies wrath

“Alright Starlight, concentrate.”

The filly struggled, the Millenium Ring around her neck burned. “Mr. Pegasus, the ring burns!” She hissed.

Pegasus urged the filly to continue, “It’s alright Starlight, that’s just the shadows accepting you as a new wielder!”

Starlight held in the tears that were threatening to escape, “Pegasusss” She whimpered as the burning subsided. She panted, feeling exhausted. Suddenly a new feeling took over, it felt….. odd, she felt stronger, yet weaker. “Mr. Pegasus.” She groaned. “I feel wired.”

Pegasus smiled, feeling a sense of pride overwhelm him. “That means that the shadows has accepted you.” He poked the ring around her neck, “And now, you’re ready to begin the next level of your training.”

Starlight jumped up in excitement, “YES! YES! YES!” She jumped around her teacher.

The five figures behind her applauded. Alice and Jack walked up to congratulate her. “Nice job Glimmer!”

The Kuriboh nodded, “You did good kid.”

Starlight hugged the two, “Thanks guys!” She trotted to her three Toon bodyguards, “Cannon! Sorcerer! Alligator! Did you see! The shadows accepted me!”

The Toon Sorcerer floated towards her, “Yes, we see that young master, and I believe this calls for celebration!” The toons and the filly cheered, egear for a party.

Pegasus smiled, “You guys go to the dining hall, we’ll catch up.” The four cheered and left the room.

Jack floated towards his seat, “So do you think anybody is going to use our token?”

Alice floated beside her brother, “I think it’ll take more than just a few hours for someone to call us.” She chuckled, “Who knows maybe we’ll find a token and summon them to us!” She sat down on her seat, only to be poked by something. “HEY?! What was that?!”

She looked down on the items that poked her. One of them was a pink seashell, and the other one was a emblem, it looked similar a emblem from the Kingdom Hearts game she played on earth. “Hey what’s this?” She picked up the two items and looked over them. “Hey Max!”

Pegasus walked over to the Dark Magician, “What’s this?”

“Heck if I know.”

Grabbing the item, he looked over it and suddenly a oath echoed in their heads.

“Whoever finds this shell, if you ever find yourself assaulted by the light or the dark, call upon me, the one who walks the path between and I will show your enemies the power of nothing”

He looked at the shell, shocked! “It’s a token!”

The two looked at the shell, surprised. “Wow really?!”

Ignoring the two he grabbed the second item and listened to the oath.

“I am the ruler of the naught, that which does not exist. Should you find this need aid, hold it high and call upon me, Xemnas, Superior of The In-Between.”

“Whoa.” The Kuriboh floated around the second token, “Do you think we should summon them?”

The two looked at their leader, “Well Max, should we?”

Pegasus looked at his Duel Disk, and took out a card from his deck. “Ryu-Ran!” In an explosion of light, a giant yellow egg with blue polka dots appeared, hatching, the egg revealed itself to be a giant red dragon, two bull-like horns on the top of his head. “Ryu-Ran will be here incase these Displace turn out to be hostile.” Holding out the tokens, he tried to summon the two.

For a few moments, nothing happened, leaving the room in silence. A second later, two pools of darkness form on the ground, quickly spawning two portals. Out of them stepped two cloaked figures, one smaller than the other.

“You called?” the taller asked, both their faces hidden by their hoods. The voice was male, with a slight monotone to it.

Clearing his throat, Pegasus stepped forward, “Yes my good man, my comrades and I were curious about the tokens and wanted to summon whoever they belonged to.” He bowed, “Allow me to introduce myself, I am Maximilian Pegasus, you may just call me Pegasus.”

“I am Xemnas, Superior Of The In-Between,” the other man spoke reaching up and pulling his hood back. He had fairly tanned skin, long whitish silver hair and sickly yellow eyes.

The Magician floated in, “I am the Dark Magician Girl, you may call me Alice.”

The Kuriboh floated next to her, “The names Jack. Jack Kuriboh.”

“I’m Alex,” the smaller figure said, pulling its hood back to reveal a girl of around fourteen with black hair and deep blue eyes.

“Well Alex, Xemnas. I’d like to welcome you to Stronghold Harmones,” He said, gesturing to the building they’re in. “Please make yourselves at home.” The Millenium eye glowed, scanning their minds for any malicious intentions.

Xemnas just raised his eyebrow, looking at Pegasus. Instead of the usual, both seemed to be voids, as if they didn’t actually exist.

Pegasus ignored Xemnas look, himself getting frustrated that the eye wasn’t able to pick up anything, “Would you like to join us? We are having a celebration for my student’s latest success.” He turned to his two partners and gestured them to play along, “We would be honored if you would join us.”

“I don’t see why not, if Alex has no objections,” Xemnas said, looking down at his partner, who just shrugged, “I believe thats a yes.”

“Excellent!” He said joyously, “Now let us go! I’m sure that the Toons have prepared something quite unique!” Pegasus walked out of the room, the rest slowly followed.

The group eventually made it to large rusted door. Walking inside they saw a small cartoonish alligator, he was currently setting down plates, a small robot walked in, carrying several types of food in. Suddenly a lavender blur tackled Pegasus onto the floor.

“Mr. Pegasus! You’re finally here!” Starlight cheered, “We’ve been waiting so long for you guys to finally come!” She trotted towards the other two but stopped when she saw Xemnas and Alex standing next to them, she hid herself behind Pegasus’ leg.

Pegasus smiled at Starlight’s shyness, he turned towards the other two to address them, “Gentlemen, this is my student, Starlight Glimmer.” He said pointing at the filly behind him.

Starlight timbly poked her head out of Pegasus’ leg, seeing them, she yelped and hid herself again.

Xemnas narrowed his eyes ever so slightly but showed no other sign of malice, “We’ve met.”

Pegasus raised a curious eyebrow, “I assume at your universe?”

“Of course,”Xemnas said with a nod, watching the filly closely, “I feel the darkness in her.”

He narrowed his eyes at Xemnas, activating his Millenium eye, he simply smiled, “Ah yes, I assume you can sense the shadows, they have accepted and recognized her as another wielder of the Millenium Items.”

“Shadows are not to be trifled with,” Xemnas said, frowning, “The road to darkness is paved with good intentions. It corrodes the heart until there is nothing but hate.”

“I see what you mean, but I have already mastered the dark arts a long time ago. I know the dangers they can bring to those who are not strong enough, but with my guidance Starlight will master the power the Shadow Realm gives her, and learn the true meaning of harmony.” He reached down and grabbed Starlight, trying to get her to calm down.

“What exactly do you mean by... true meaning of harmony?” Alex asked, an uncertain look on her face.

“What else could I mean?” He walked over to the Toon Sorcerer and handed him the filly, “Harmony is being indifferent, the same, after all.” He looked at the two, his Millenium Eye now glowing brightly, “Isn’t that what harmony is all about? With differences you get chaos and hatred.”

“Thats not harmony,” Xemnas said, looking into Pegasus’s eyes, “Thats a perversion of balance. You would kill all creativity and create a sterile world that will stagnate and die. Believe me, I am what you strive to be and I would give anything to be normal again.”

“Then clearly you have failed somewhere along the lines.” He gripped the Millenium Rod, cautious of a sudden attack, “If ponies or any other creature were allowed to keep their sense of freewill, or creativity then that would allow chaos to move in. Differences causes fear, anger, hate, and suffering.” He looked at them, his eyes full of determination, “And I’d sooner die, than let another creature suffer to the their false harmony!”

“Freedom is the right of all sentient beings,” Xemnas countered, narrowing his eyes, “You would upset the natural balance to create a world of absolute order, one that would collapse in on itself just as a world of pure chaos would. A goal that is rather self-defeating.”

“Freedom is what causes suffering! It causes chaos to move in!” His eyes harden, “If my harmony was spread, then ponies would no longer be able to cause suffering, no one would be different, we would all get along. Once harmony has taken over, peace would finally come.” He looked at Xemnas, his glare never leaving, “Tell me how would peace be a self-defeating goal? It certainly won’t be because of order, order is what keeps harmony going.”

“You would sterilize a species, take away their creativity, their drive to achieve, that leads to stagnation,” Xemnas said, his voice never rising beyond a monotone, “You know what happens to a species that stagnates? They go extinct. Thats what your harmony will cause.”

“I never said they wouldn’t be allowed to breed, just wouldn’t be able to keep their creativity, it’s what causes all that hate and ignorance in the first place.” He forced himself to relaxed, though still being on guard. “After Equestria becomes harmonized, it will spread to the griffins, dragons, zebras, and all the other species. The Minotaurs are the only ones to accept and practice this philosophy, and look at them, they are still striving and living perfectly fine in a truly harmonious country.”

“But for how long? Stagnation has nothing to do with breeding. A species that does not strive to out compete its rivals will go extinct,” Xemnas said, crossing his arms, “It is an inevitability.”

“But if they have no rivals, why do they need to compete. When harmony comes we will provide everything for them,” He allowed himself to smirk, “The Minotaurs had survive 5000 years living in this type of rule, I’m sure they can survive 5000 more.”

“Competing is what brings both advancement and evolution. That which does not evolve will perish, as you already likely know,” Xemnas shot back, still keeping his cool.

“Advancement and evolution won’t be needed for harmony. Besides what makes my harmony so different from Celestia’s? Is it because she allows freewill, allows ignorance and difference to reign. Also isn’t there already a species that has lived for so many years living under this type of lifestyle?” Pegasus scratched his chin, “What were they called? Hmmmm….” He snapped his fingers, “Ah yes! Ants are one of them, aren’t they?”

“Ants aren’t sentient.” Xemnas deadpanned.

“But with harmony around, what’s the difference?” Pegasus countered. “They will all be in equal footing in a short while.”

“And what of beings like myself and Alex?” he asked with a raised eyebrow, “We can never be equal to any other.”

“Then we are meant to the shepherds, tending to our flock of sheep.” He narrowed his eyes menacingly, “Unless you plan to end up like the draconequus species? Fools they were for standing in the way of true harmony.”

Xemnas threw his head back and let out a mirthless laugh that echoed hollowly around the room. “You think you can destroy nothing?” Xemnas asked, a slight smirk on his face.

“Destroy nothing? Me? Think? Oh no.” Pegasus chuckled, “When you have the power to control the shadows and the gods, what is there that can’t be destroyed?”

“I can name a few,” Xemnas pointed out, “Yggdrasil comes to mind, Alien X, nothingness,” Xemnas listed off, unphased, “You know nothing thus can understand nothing.”

“The answer to that problem is very simple, if you can’t destroy something, then convert, extract, seal, or break them.” He looked at Xemnas with a challenging glare, “What isn’t there to understand? I’ve been told this once before, during the great purge of the draconequus race, I extracted their power and souls and used it as fuel for my Toon monsters.”

“Your very ideology proves that you know nothing,” Xemnas said, watching him impassively, “Though, I must know, are you threatening us?”

“Only if you plan to go against the path of true harmony.” Pegasus said, now taking out the Millenium Rod.

Xemnas narrowed his eyes, a strange key like object appearing in his hand. He didn’t move, locking eyes with Pegasus, daring him to make a move.

“I have been a very proper host, even going as far to invite to for dinner.” The Millenium Eye glowed, uncontrollably. “Now I must tell you, if you plan to actively go against me and harmony, then I’m afraid we are going to have some problems.”

“I have lived what you call harmony for the past thousand years, I would wish it on no one,”Xemnas said, unmoving, “But, you summoned us here and unless you intended to attack us, then we shall be proper guests.”

“Then I will be a proper host.” Pegasus muttered through clenched teeth, “Come sit, I’m sure my Toons have something prepared.” He walked towards an open seat at the end of the table and sat down, “I prefer to keep things civilized, but just know, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.”

Xemnas dismissed his ‘weapon’, taking a seat, Alex sitting next to him.

“We’ll keep that in mind,” Alex muttered, running a hand through her hair.

Once everyone had sat down, Pegasus decided to break the silence, “Tell me, are the draconequus race still around in your world?”

“Depends on what world you ask about,” Xemnas said, “On the Equestria I first appeared on, there was only Discord, until Hodgepodge came into existence. On my current Equestria, I have no idea.”

“Hmmm…..” Pegasus looked at the wine that had been severed to him. “So my world’s Discord isn’t the only Discord to survive, I wonder why? My Discord was the only one to survive the purge I bestowed upon his people.” He sighed sadly, “It’s a shame, I truly was looking forward to use his power to create a new Toon.”

“You should be glad you did, in my world he was redeemed and had a family with Fluttershy,” Xemnas said, boredly sipping his wine, “Eris is rather adorable.”’

Pegasus stopped drinking, he slowly set the glass down, “A chaos spawn and a pony? If your world is anything to go by, then that means it’s only a matter of time before he breaks free of my corruption spell.”

“I wouldn’t know,” Xemnas said with a shrug, “I just know that he was changed enough by the ponies that Tirek had to mind control him to make him him betray them. I wasn’t there myself, they had the smart idea to keep me locked away at the time.”

Pegasus smiled fondly, “Ah Tirek, that old man? It’s been awhile since I heard of him, must still be Tartarus.” The doors opened and a group of goblin like toons appeared, all of them carrying trays of food of all types, once they were done setting it down, they refilled all the wine and left. “Ah! Dinner is severed! Please dig in!”

“Thank you,” Xemnas said before starting to eat, seeming to just go through the motions, while Alex seemed to enjoy herself.

There was tense silence, and almost no one dared to break it, finally Pegasus spoke again. “Tell me Xemnas, you said that you were the result of my ideals? How is it that you know the results before hand?”

“It is simple, I am a Nobody.” Xemnas answered simply.

“Yes but, how is that the result of harmony?” He asked curiously.

“I am nothing, I feel nothing,” Xemnas said, looking down at his plate, staring at it, “I feel no joy, no anger, no hate, no love. I do not exist and I never shall again. This is not an existence I would wish on another.”

“Then you are not a result of harmony.” Pegasus stated simply. “You are harmony stopping halfway, you still feel something, and you still have something that is basic to all things disharmonious, a freewill, a conscious, and to some extent a soul. If you were harmony, then you wouldn’t have all that.”

“I would never give those things up but what you think I feel is nothing, I merely remember how I used to feel and act according to those memories.” Xemnas explained, merely poking at his meal.

“Yet you still have a freewill, at least thats what it looks like to me. Why else would we be talking, if you didn’t have one, you’d be a simple animal.”

“You forget, I do not truly exist,” Xemnas reminded, looking up from his plate.

“So are you a pretender?” Pegasus looked up from his meal, “Do you pretend to have a soul? Pretend to have a freewill because you want one?”

“Perhaps, perhaps not. I am what's left, or maybe I’m all that ever was,” Xemnas said cryptically, sipping at his wine. “My point is, I would never wish this on anyone.”

“You wouldn’t wish it upon anyone because you are not harmony, but instead something similar.” Setting his fork down, he looked at him, “You are nothing, and unless you want to be harmonious or disharmonious, that is all you’ll ever be. Nothing.” He sipped his glass of wine.

“I would rather be nothing than that poison you call harmony,” Xemnas said, finishing his wine.

“If harmony is poison, then why is it the key for peace?”

“I said what you call harmony,” Xemnas corrected, “I’ve seen actual harmony, this is not that.”

“Then what you see is false harmony, no doubt from the ponies.” He countered, “They claim to be about love and tolerance, yet that only extends to ponies and not anything else.”

“Actually, it was from a jotun,” Xemnas said, the faintest trace of a smile forming on his lips, “My friend Jason brought together the changelings and the ponies, hell he even redeemed a siren. I don’t recommend going to his world, you would find yourself very unwelcome.”

“Then perhaps it is time to extend harmony’s border,” He took a bite out of his meal and swallowed. “Your friend Jason’s harmony is so close to finally becoming peace and true harmony if he got the changelings and the ponies to make peace. All he needs is a little push.”

“Jason would die than yield,” Xemnas commented, taking a bite of his food, “And even if you got rid of him, I don’t want to imagine what Hel would do to you in response.”

“She wouldn’t do anything, especially with the Egyptian gods at my side.”

“You think they would have any power in that world? Hel is billions of years old, connected to Yggdrasil itself. She has seen, done and known things that we can never imagine. To anger her is to bring the wrath of a universe upon you.”

“Then she would make a lovely sacrifice for Zork.” Pegasus answered. “After all, no matter where you go, there will always be shadows.”

“She is connected to Yggdrasil, the world tree,” Xemnas argued, “To think you could simply sacrifice her is simply foolhardy. To even try would render this Zork as food for the tree.”

“Zork is one of the original ones, he is the very embodiment of darkness and is the Shadow Realm itself. Gods from all around had tried to stand up against Zork, only to be defeated and absorbed by the shadows.” Pegasus drank his wine and set the glass down. “His power is beyond anything anyone knows.”

“In this universe,” Xemnas corrected, “To assume the rules of this one apply elsewhere is idiotic. If you were to go to Jason’s world you would be subject to the rules of Yggdrasil, which feeds on admins and there is no shadow realm. That world doesn’t even end, it merely resets itself with Ragnarok.”

“Then the only thing left to do is to bring them here.” He called a Toon goblin to refill his glass. “Then they will be forced to play by my rules.” He gave Xemnas a cheerful smile, “Wouldn’t that be grand Xemmy-boy? True harmony will always find a way.”

“I feel compelled to warn you that Jason is not one to be trifled with, “Xemnas warned, “He can rework the very fabric of reality, more so than any god could hope to.”

“Would he be able to do that while fighting of numerous gods?” Pegasus asked curiously.

“Yes,” Xemnas said with a nod.

“Then Ptah would be the ideal choice, two beings that can change reality fighting.” He chuckled to himself. “I wonder what would happen if I were to convert him into a Toon.”

“I wouldn’t try,” Xemnas said, taking another bite, “It would most likely end badly.”

Pegasus stared at the meal, thinking. “Someone like him must have some powerful enemies,” He smirked, “Or at least some powerful allies for me to turn into some more precious toons.”

“You would be wise to learn that there are powers in the multiverse that make you look like an ant, ones that would slap you aside in an instant,”Xemnas looked up, brushing some hair out of his face, “Tread lightly,”

“But a ant never fights alone, when in large groups they can be quite troublesome.” Pegasus looked at Xemnas more closely. “In fact you could prove to be one strong ant, maybe even something else.” The Millenium Eye started to glow again, “Makes me wonder how effective of a Toon you would be.”

“Do not try,” Xemnas warned, letting a hint of malice leak into his voice.

“Oh?” Pegasus put a hand over his heart, as if he was insulted, “Xemmy-boy you wound me.” He smiled again, “Besides if I wanted to turn you into a Toon I would have already done it.” Slowly all the Toon monsters around them started move behind Pegasus, the Toon Sorcerer had a large green book in his hand, it was labeled ‘Toon World’.

“If this leads to card games on motorcycles I’m out,” Alex said, eyeing the book wearily.

Pegasus laughed, “And here I thought that you two didn’t have a sense of humor.” Pegasus started to search for a specific card in his deck, “Tell me, which one of you is the strongest?”

“That would be me,” Xemnas said, watching him closely.

“Thank you Xemmy-boy.” Pegasus grabbed the card he was looking for and set it onto his duel disk, “Doppelganger!” A blue cat with a long body appeared besides him, “Doppelganger do be a dear and mimic our guest Xemnas here.” The cat stretch his body around Xemnas, looking over him. He returned to Pegasus side and started to glow, when the light disappeared a perfect replica of Xemnas stood in his place.

“What exactly are you doing?” Alex asked, raising her eyebrow, her right hand twitching a bit.

“I’m going to create my most powerful Toon yet.” Pegasus answered, now walking towards the Toon Sorcerer. “A Toon Nobody.”

“That I would control,” Xemnas added.

Pegasus looked back at him and smiled, “Toons can only be controlled by whoever holds the book, just because he is a nobody doesn’t mean he will be exactly the same once he becomes a Toon.”

“I control all Nobodies, no whatever what they spawned from.” Xemnas watched, still looking rather bored.

“What if he is just a clone of you? He is everything you are, he has Doppelganger’s soul and mind in him, just with your body and powers.”

“Then he is a Replica and still under my domain.”

Pegasus frowned, grabbing his deck he started looking for another card, “Then the only thing left to do is to…..” He grab the card he was looking for and summoned it, “Is to convert you into Toons!!! Comic Hand!” A large gloved hand appeared and leaped at Xemnas and Alex. “If I can’t have the copy, then get the original.”

Xemnas stood up, resummoning his weapon, slicing through the hand. He brought his hand against his left shoulder, becoming clad in intricate blue armor. Alex jumped out of her seat, summoning up two blades, one black and demonic, the other white and angelic. Xemnas threw his hand out, several strange silver creatures spawning into existence around them.

“Toon Goblin Attack force, attack!” The Toon goblins leaped at the creatures beating them with their clubs. Pegasus glared at Xemnas, “Xemmy-boy, I wouldn’t fight this if I were you, change is inevitable.” He took out five cards.

“The only change I seek to to be human once more,” Xemnas retorted, dashing forward, swiping his weapon at Pegasus.

Pegasus brought his Millenium Rod and clashed with Xemnas weapon, “Fine, we’ll do this the hard way.” Using his free hand he summoned another monster, “Toon Summoned Skull, attack!” A blue skull like demon popped out of the book and started throwing lighting as if they were spears.

Xemnas nearly deflected them, sending out a burst of darkness, throwing the toon back. “I have a counter offer Pegasus, how about I remove your heart? A few centuries of being a Nobody may change your mind.”

Pegasus chuckled, “So you do have a sense of humor! Unfortunately I must decline, until harmony is realized I need to keep all of my senses, that includes things that make me disharmonious.” The Toon Summoned Skull appeared again, he wrapped himself around Xemnas, restricting his movement. “But trust me, you’ll love being a toon.”

“I think not,” Xemnas said, ramming his head against the Toon’s throwing it into a wall, “As I said, the only change I am looking for is to be human again,” he throwing his hands out, more of the strange creatures appearing, several varieties this time.

Pegasus rolled his eyes, “Your creatures can’t fight against my Toons, only a Toon can destroy a Toon.” He leaped at Xemnas, the Millenium Rod in his hand. Xemnas grabbed him by the face, slamming him into the ground.

“Unlike you, I am strong enough on my own, I have no need for creatures such as your toons,” he held his weapon above Pegasus, preparing to stab it into him, “Your heart is forfeit.”

“Not on our watch it isn’t!” A brown ball of fur tackled Xemnas. The Kuriboh glared at him. “Sorry bud but Max is staying with us!”

“Hey, this is the thing that controls all the toons guys right?” Alex asked, having snuck up on the book. She leapt forward, striking at it with both her blades.

“NO!” Pegasus yelled. The Toons all started screaming in pain, their bodies glowed and instantly all of them shattered as if they were glass. “How could you! They were just innocent Toons!” He yelled angrily. “You’ll pay for that.”

“You made them out of peoples souls! The fuck is wrong with you!?” Alex shouted, hurling a blade at him.

Pegasus jumped out of the way, he glared at Alex. “Oh please, it was the draconequus fault for thinking they could stand up to me! They could hardly be considered people!”

“Thats still murder you twisted fuck!” she screamed, the blade reappearing in her hand as she dashed at him, swinging wildly at him.

Using the Millenium Necklace, he was able to dodge the attacks, “More like pest control! Nothing was more satisfying than seeing the look on Discord’s face, when he found out that he was the last of his kind!”

“You commited genocide! You're no better than any other dictator the world has spawned!” she shouted, firing off a blast of ice at him, her face contorted in rage.

Grabbing another card from his deck, he glared angrily at them, “Well it looks like this is the end for you two.” Slamming the card down, a large golden object appeared, “I sacrifice one card in order to summon the Relinquished!” A large blue demon like creature appeared in front of them, it’s one eye resembled the Millenium eye.

“I believe it is time for us to leave,” Xemnas said, dismissing his minions. He held his hand out, conjuring up another shadow portal.

“But!” Alex started before Xemnas pushed her behind him.

“Go, we’re a bit out of our element here.” Alex opened her mouth to argue before sending a glare at Pegasus and dashing through the portal.

The Relinquished dashed at the two trying to at least get one of them. Pegasus laughed, “Don’t think this is the end Xemmy-boy, Alex, we will meet again!”

“I never said it was,” Xemnas said appearing in front of Pegasus and slashing him across the face, “You can keep the scar, it’ll make a nice memento of our time together.” Xemnas said, giving him a two fingered salute before vanishing into another portal.

Pegasus screamed in pain, clenching his face, he glared at the spot Xemnas was in. “I’ll be sure to repay the favor.” Relinquished went to it’s master and returned to it’s card. Picking up the Relinquished card, he smiled, “You’ll make a fine Toon indeed, or at least a good meal for Relinquished.”

"So, I see your still sticking to that story."

Calmly, Pegasus turned towards the Dark Magician Girl, who was currently glaring at him. "Why Alice, what story do you mean?"

She snorted, "Come on Max, I was there too! And we both know who really killed off the draconequus race, and it wasn't you!" Alice crossed her arms. "So tell me, why is it that you always take the blame, for something that wasn't even your fault?" She finishes, looking at him a bit concerned. "Do you still blame yourself for what happened?"

Pegasus sighed, "Alice, who was it that gave the order?"

"But you didn't order a genocide! That was his doing!" Alice tried to argue. " It wasn't your fault! You didn't know he was going to do that!"

"But I gave the order to attack! So in a way, the blame falls to me as well!" Taking a few deep calming breaths, Pegasus started to walk away, "Tell Starlight I said goodnight.... I have some things I need to take care of."

“Now Mistress Starlight, you must concentrate on your studies!” The Toon Sorcerer scolded the young filly. “These cards you have chosen for your deck are less than effective.” The Toon tsk, grabbing a monster card from the filly’s deck, “I mean really? While the Watapon may be a good card in the right hands, it is simply much to advance of a card for you to properly use!” Grabbing Starlight’s deck, he looked through the cards, “And the worst part is, that this deck is filled with nothing but monster cards! Not a single trap or spell to be seen!”

Starlight groaned, “What’s the big deal anyways? So my deck doesn’t have any spells or traps, but it filled with only the strongest monsters in the vault!” She proclaimed smugly.

“He’s right Starlight, you can’t run a proper deck with only monsters.” Starlight and the Toon jumped from the sound of the new arrival. “In fact my deck would be completely worthless without the spells and traps it has.”

“S-Sorry Mr. Pegasus.” Starlight said, pouting at the cards. “But this game is just too complicated!”

Pegasus frowned at that. “Now Starlight, while this may seem like a game, it isn’t.” He walked up behind her and picked up a card from her deck. “You see Starlight, the reason why we use playing cards as our weapons is because the monsters are sealed inside the cards, and the only way to bring them out is when he summon them during a duel.”

Starlight rolled her eyes, “It still sounds like a game to me..”

Pegasus stopped walking, narrowing his eyes at her, “Just because it’s called the Shadow Games and we use playing cards doesn’t mean it's a game!” He walked towards a bookshelf and pulled out a large tome, “Perhaps it is time for you to study the true nature of a Shadow Game.” Pegasus dropped the tome in front of her, “You are to read the history of the Shadow Games and are expected to give me a report on its mechanics by tomorrow.”

Starlight gaped at the large book, it was at least half her size, “B-B-But.”

“No buts! I expect the report to be finished by tomorrow,” Pegasus said sternly, giving no room for argument, “Now if you excuse me I have something that needs to be taken care of.”

“Don’t you think you’re being a bit hard on her?”

Pegasus stopped walking, turning towards the Kuriboh, he rolled his eyes. “Starlight needs to learn that the shadows isn’t something she should take lightly.”

“Yeah but, let’s be honest, we all used to think this was nothing but a game.” Jack said, floating towards Pegasus. “I know the shadows are something someone shouldn’t take lightly, but you’re being too protective of her! You weren’t this protective to your first student!”

He gritted his teeth, “And look where that got him.” Pegasus glared at him, “If I had been more careful during his studies then he would have never been consumed by the shadow’s power! He would have never tried to enslave a whole empire!” Pegasus took a few calming breaths before turning away. “Goodbye Jack, I’m going out for a walk, don’t follow me.”

Folteren sat in his throw, concentrating harder than ever. If he wasn’t careful, he’d lose. He scratched his chin, and ‘humphed’. He was outnumbered ten to one. He sighed.

He moved his final piece.

[Checkmate.] Sandy declared, [Five-Hundred-and-forty-three, to zero.]

Folteren glared at the hologram of his AI, he sucked at chest, and Sandy kept rubbing it in his face.

“You know what!? I don’t give a flying monkey's butt! Your a robot, practically built to do this!” Folteren snapped.

[I believe you are being a ‘sore loser’.]

“I hate you…”

[I know master.]

He sighed in defeat. Folteren sat up out of his throne, and proceeded to walk out.

He reached the kitchen. Scootaloo had Goldie on her back as she eat, Shadow was playing with her Lightsaber, Boomer was chasing Venture, Vision was making a mess, and Waffles was eating waffles… Weird…

Folteren cleared his throat, getting the attention of everyone. He sighed, “Why me?”

Shadow, being the smart alec she was said, “You bought a Pip-Boy that didn’t match your costume!”

I live with comedians…

I was pulled out of thought by something hitting my head. Hard.

Looking at the object, he saw it was a book. A weird book.

The book was a large green tome, the words ‘TOON WORLD’ were written in the top, while a picture of an orange dragon sat on the cover. On the back of the green pop-up book was a picture of a cartoonish mermaid. Upon touching the green book, a message echoed throughout the room.

“True peace can only be achieved through power, true harmony can only be achieved if all are united under one single banner. If you are ever in need of assistance or if you are a fellow warrior of harmony, summon us and we will come to you. I am Pegasus, Spirit of Harmony, and wielder of the Millennium Items."

‘Huh... ’ Folteren thought for a second, then realized, “I might need his help!”

“No duh!” Venture said, and winced as Folteren Force Choked him, “Uncle! Uncle!”

Folteren let go of his grip on Venture and walked back to his Death Star throne. Once there, he spoke, “I summon you, Pegasus!” ‘I have no idea how this works!’ And waited for something to happen.

Suddenly the pop-up book opened, revealing a large gloomy castle sitting on top of it’s pages. The book started to glow sinisterly, shocking Folteren with electricity. Once the electricity stopped flowing, a catchy tune started playing out of the book, a pink vortex appeared above the book, dropping a well dressed man in front of Folteren.

He looked around his new surroundings for a few moments before spotting the sith lord. “Ah! Hello there my good friend, I am Maximillian Pegasus, and who are you?” He finished, bowing at him, the book floated behind him, still glowing.

Folteren’s glare subsided and was replaced by one of annoyance, “I am Darth Folteren.” He said simply.

Pegasus put a hand over his left eye, activating his Millennium Eye. “Well Darth Folteren, for what reason do you have in summoning me this fine day?”

‘This guy better not shock me again...’ Folteren thought, “I need help with the Royal Sisters. They have caused me enough trouble and pain.” Folteren clarified, using the force to retrieve his mask that sat on the throne and secured it to his face.

Pegasus smirked, “Well then I believe that should be easy enough, since you have summoned me here, I will help you in your endeavors!” Pegasus then smiled sheepishly at him, “I also want to apologize for Toon World trying to claim it’s tribute, you see when Toon World is activated, it demands for a tribute, for me it’s a thousand of my life points, for others it’s a small piece of their soul or it just shocks people for it’s own amusement.”

“Well, I guess being shocked is better than the alternative. Give people a warning though.” Folteren looked behind him to see his two apprentices, Boomer, Waffles, and that freaky bear plushie. “Looks like we have eavesdroppers.” Folteren smirked, and pulled them out to the open.

Scootaloo spoke first, “H… Hi, I’m Scootaloo…”

Pegasus smiled softly at the small filly, “Hello Scootaloo, as you may have heard, I am Pegasus, it is a pleasure to meet you.”

Scootaloo seemed overcame her fears, “It’s nice to meet you too Mr. Pegasus! These are Shadow, Boomer, Waffles, and Goldie!” She pointed to each one as she said their names.

Pegasus narrowed his eyes, “Is that a Mudkip and a Golden Freddy?” He tensed up a bit, “That animatronic always used to scare me.”

“Yep! Mr. Fazbear gave it to my to protect me! And Waffles was given to Master by Mr. Freddy!” Scootaloo explained, and Folteren shrugged while nodding his head. ‘I don’t understand it, but she’s right.’ Folteren thought.

“A Golden Freddy displaced? I’m honestly not sure if I should be worried or not.” Pegasus looked at Goldie as if it was going to attack him. “You think after so many years being in Equestria, I would’ve forgotten about him.”

Folteren chuckled, “First, yes, you should be worried about that guy. He’s killed and absorbed two Discord’s, and fused with every version of him in the multiverse. I’m scared of him, and I’m one of his friends.” Folteren shivered, “Second, those jump scares will stay in your head for eternity.”

“So he’s able to defeat two Discord’s? Hmm, well if he has that type of power, I should be able to hold my own against him if he decides to try and attack me.” Pegasus muttered.

Folteren heard him, “He has phenomenal cosmic power, the guy made Waffles by snapping his paws, made the FNAF group, and beat an army.” Folteren warned, “But he won't bite. He sticks to his world. But back to the matter at hand!” Folteren turned and walked away, “Come, I’d hate for you to die in space.”

Pegasus looked around the area for a second, “We’re in space?!” He asked, mildly confused and awed. Seeing Folteren walking ahead, he sprinted towards him. “So, what exactly is the plan?”

Folteren continued to walk as he explained his plan, “My droid army will attack Canterlot and distract the guards and civilians. We will take on Celestia and Luna. Cadence may be there too, and Shining Armor. The Elements will be fighting themselves as I’m related to two of them, and the third is extremely loyal to Scoots, so no worries about turning to stone.”

Boomer bumped into Folteren, “Beep!”

Folteren glared, “Don’t talk dirty! That’s rude, even for you!”

“Will any civilians get hurt?” Pegasus asked curiously, “To be honest, I never approved of senseless violence when it’s given to those who are innocent.”

Folteren sighed, “I’m not that cruel. The guards will be killed if they are stupid. The Elements I have aren't evil, and I’d like to keep them with me.”

“Then consider my Toon army at your disposal.” Pegasus answered, with a confident smirk.

“Thank you.” They arrived at the hanger. A Imperial Shuttle was in front of the two. Folteren went up the ramp, followed by Pegasus. The ramp closed, and a blue Battle Droid sat in the pilot seat.

“Taking off.” The Droid said. Pegasus saw four humanoid robots with red eyes, a white short cap, and a long staff.

“Those are my Grievous Magna-Guards.” Folteren explained.

Pegasus looked over at the four bots, “Impressive.” Taking out a card from his deck, he summoned it into the field. “Toon Ancient Gear Golem!” The Toon World book near him glowed, opening, the book spit out a large robot like toon, it’s whole metal body was rusted and its gears were visible to everyone around him, his large cartoonish eyes blinked. “This is my guard the Toon Golem.”

“You should wait until we land.” Folteren warned.

“I’m simply being careful, I just needed one toon out incase of anything.” Pegasus replied, “In any war or battle, one must be prepared for the worst.” He patted the Toon, “And this Toon of mine is just a extra safety measure.”

“I fully agree, but we are in a spaceship. He could have made the ship sluggish, and droids suck at surprises. But summon anymore, and crashing isn’t something I want to do.” Folteren looked out the front windshield, “But we are nearly there.”

“Have faith in me Folteren, I wouldn’t have done something so idiotic without knowing the end result.” Pegasus said, grabbing the glowing Millennium Necklace around his neck. “Unfortunately the necklace can only tell me so much.”

The pilot turned its head, “We’re about to land Lord Folteren!”

Folteren growled, “Keep your optics forward.” He turned around to face Pegasus, “I hate flying, especially when the pilot is an idiot.”

“Trust me, I’ve had my fair share.” Pegasus glared at his deck, “If you think an idiot pilot is bad, try having a toon flying you around.”

Folteren chuckled, “That does sound bad.” The ship shook, then stopped, “Looks like we’ve arrived.” The ramp lowered, and seven guards along with a captain stood tall, until they saw the two humans.

Pegasus smiled sinisterly, several black chains appeared, wrapping themselves around Pegasus’ duel disk and his deck and then disappearing. Taking out five cards, he summoned one onto the field, “Toon Cyber Dragon, attack!” In an explosion of light a small metallic snake appeared, pouncing at the guards, he wrapped himself around them, making it impossible to move. “What would you like to do with these guards?”

Folteren thought for a moment, then smirked and waved his hand, “You will evacuate civilians at all costs.” The guards repeated what he said, except the Captain and one other. Folteren turned to Pegasus, “Let all but those two go. Might as well get some guards to help ponies as my droids attack. Do whatever you want to the two that resisted, guards are loyal to the princess.”

Pegasus smirked, snapping his fingers, the Toon Golem walked up, Toon World in his claws. “I always wondered what would happen if I turned ponies into Toons, and now I think it’s time to find out.” The Toon World book opened, absorbing the two guards into the book, seconds later the book opened and deposited two new cards, picking them up he read their stats. “Toon Pegasus guard, Atk and Def 1400/1200. Mediocre at best.” He looked at the other guard. “Toon Unicorn Guard(Captain), Atk and Def 1900/1500. Not bad.” He put the two cards into his hand. “So Folteren, any ideas?”

Folteren snapped out of his awe and turned to the castle as droid drop ships began landing, “Well, lets pay the rulers a visit.” The four Magna-Guards jumped out of the shuttle. “And I might give you some Star Wars style cards, how does that sound?” Folteren began walking towards his destination.

“I think that sounds wonderful, I can just tell, by the end of the day, my Toon deck will be receiving one major power boost!” Pegasus went back to reading the effects of his Toon Unicorn Guard.

By the time the two reached the palace, the battle had already begun. The Elements of Harmony had their work cut out.

“You're not WHAT!?!?!?” Twilight shouted, staring at her friends in shock.

“You heard us. We ‘ain't helpin.” Applejack said sternly.

“But why!? These brutes are tearing up the city!” Rarity cried with a flare of drama.

“Yeah, a city built on chance!” Rainbow roared, glaring daggers at Twilight.

Twilight gasped, “Rainbow! How could you!”

As the four fight, Pinkie played with a ball, and Fluttershy whimpered.

The six were seated in the throne room as Celestia retrieved the Elements. Another human stood with a long metal rod. The Princess of the sun returned with her sister. But before they could do anything, the gate came off it hinges. Folteren and Pegasus walked into the room, followed by the Magnaguards and a couple of Toons.

“SUN-BUTT!!! I’M HOME!!!” Folteren yelled, laughing. “I’ve been waiting to say that for a thousand years!”

The three Toons behind them laughed, Pegasus glared at the solar princess, “Well I don’t believe we have met, I am Pegasus the Spirit of Harmony.”

The Princess's eyes widened, “Spirit of Harmony!? What kind of mockery is this!?”

“Oh shut up! You were never that good at meeting human, where you?” Folteren glared, venom lacing his voice.

A human female stepped forward, “Whitney!? Is that you!?”

The dark lord stared at her, “You… Leave before I kill you too Jackie!”

“So its true, the dark side has taken you.” She flicks a switch on the staff, and two yellow blades appear on either side, “Then I have no choice.”

Princess Celestia turned around and ran out of the room, and the Elements fight each other(Mostly AJ and RD vs. Twi and Rare).

“Magnaguards! Get Celly and bring her to me alive!” Folteren turns on his red and purple lightsabers, “Pegasus, take care of Luna, I’ve got this under control.”

“With pleasure!” Pegasus eyed Luna, his smirk never leaving. “Before we begin our duel, I do have two friends who you might recognize.” He summoned out the Toon Pegasi Guard and his Toon Unicorn Guard (Captain). The two Toon ponies were about the size of a foal, only slightly more larger, their eyes were much bigger, their flat teeth were replaced with razor sharp teeth, their cutie marks replaced by a picture of Toon World.. “Princess Luna, I like to introduce you to my Toon pony guards!” The toon pegasus pounced at Luna, his razor sharp teeth snapping.

Luna blasted the Toon as she backed away, horror filled her features at the monsters image. “What have you done to that pony!?”

“What have I done?” He chuckled, “Why I helped this pony achieve it’s most superior form.” Pegasus leered at Luna, his smile becoming unsettling “ Something that I hope I’ll be able to achieve with you.” Pegasus motioned his other Toon Pony to attack, “Toon Unicorn Guard Captain, attack!” The Toon Unicorn fired a large bolt of magic at Luna.

Luna used her magic to create a force field. “Tia!” She cried in fear, but her sister never came, Luna used her magic to create a small star and hurled it at the Toon.

The Toon smirked, pulling out a stop sign, the small star stopped and fired at a different direction, the Toon Unicorn laughed at Luna’s shocked expression. “Sorry Princess, but my Toons can’t be defeated by such simple means. I’m afraid you’re going to have to try harder than that.”

Luna backed away, shaking as she looked around to find something. Behind Pegasus, two lunar guards tried to jump him. “No!” Luna yelled, worried they would share the same fate as the solar guards.

The Toon Golem jumped in front of the guards, grabbing them by their necks, he dragged them towards the open pages of Toon World. The Toon World book absorbed the two lunar guards, slamming shut, Toon World spat out two new cards in front of Pegasus. “Hmm…. Two brand new cards, one female and another male, Toon Bat Pony Guards, Atk and Def 1700/1500, huh. These two are a lot more stronger than the solar guards.” Summoning one of them into the field, a small Toon flapped its bat like wings, it was slightly larger than the other two toon ponies. His bat wings, like the Toon Pegasus, were small, his eyes were larger than normal, his razor sharp teeth snapped at Luna. “Well isn’t he adorable?”

Luna glared, “I shall destroy you!” Her horn glowed a starry black, and a powerful beam shot at the Toons creating a huge explosion breaking all the windows and pillars.

Folteren was flung across the room, as well as Jackie.

Pegasus using the Millennium Rod, anchored his feet to the ground. “I summon the Toon (Female) Bat Pony Guard!” Like the other Toon, their appearance were almost exactly the same, one difference was how she was slightly smaller than the male counterpart. “Now Lulu this Bat Pony is a little different, for every Toon pony guard I have on the field, she gains an extra 200 attack points.” Pegasus smirked, “And since I have three, she gains an extra 600 attack points!” The female guard started growing, still she was almost the same size as a normal pony, her attack points were now at 2400. “Toon ponies, attack your former monarch!” All four of the Toons charged at Luna, they were all holding hammers, axes, spears, and swords.

Luna tried defending herself, but she couldn't as the Toon ponies overpowered. She lay on the ground, crying her sister's name as if it could help.

Folteren stopped, “Jackie, you’ve lost. The elements are useless, Celestia has abandoned you all, Luna has been defeated, and I have an army. Since we used to be friends, I’ll let you go.” Jackie froze, looking at the area she saw the girls fighting, Luna bleeding, and a Droid army marching towards them. “You can take the girls that want to go.”

Jackie glared at Folteren, “I can’t believe you… You have no right to call me that! I’m Bastila to you.”

Folteren sighed, “Get out of my sight…” Bastila took Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy and left.

“Lord Folteren, the city is yours!” Vision said on the intercom.

Pegasus walked over to Folteren, patting him on the back, “Congratulations on your victory, Lord Folteren.” Noticing the Toon Ancient Gear Golem was holding Luna by the horn, he asked, “I must ask you, what do you plan on doing with her?”

“If you want her, she’d be weak. But Nightmare Moon isn’t, so take her. I have special plans in mind for the moon deity. Because the worst feeling in the world is when family is against you.” Folteren summoned a red crystal, and placed it against Luna’s head. Nightmare Moon appeared next to her asleep. “There, much better! Oh, and take a Magnaguard.”

The Toon Golem started walking towards the Toon World spellbook, dragging the asleep clone, the Magnaguard following closely behind. He opened the spellbook, and a large pink cloud appeared above the two figures, absorbing them. The book slammed shut, spitting out two cards in front of Pegasus. “Toon Magnaguard, Atk and Def 2300/1800, six stars. Toon Nightmare Moon, Atk and Def 2500/2000, seven stars.” Pegasus smiled, “These cards are pretty good.”

Folteren took off his mask, “Anything else?” Two green battle droids ran in, “Take Luna to my Shuttle, I’ll deal with her there.”

Pegasus tapped his chin, “Well, can’t say there’s anything else I need.” He smiled, “Is there anything else you needed?”

Folteren smiled himself, “Well, I guess two things. Take this,” Folteren handed Pegasus the red crystal, “Think of it as payment, it's call a Shard of Madness. Anything to do with the mind this can do. Mind control only works if you sacrifice it. It's rare, and could lead to insanity, so be careful.”

Pegasus looked at the shard and stored it in his pocket. “Thank you Folteren, this will surely help in my quest for harmony.”

“And what you did today helped my quest for power. I’ll be sure to make this world live under one banner.” Folteren turned to Toon World and used Force Lightning on it. “Payback.”

Suddenly a large gloved hand popped out of the book and slapped Folteren, the glove made a tsk tsked motion and retreated back into the book, causing Pegasus to laugh.

Folteren growled, sighed, gave Pegasus his CIS Comunicatore Token, and walked over to Celestia’s throne. “When you need help in a fight, supplies, or advice. Just press the switch.”

Pegasus studied the token for a moment, “Thank you, and if you ever need some help or just want to give another swing at Toon World just open the book, and careful not to let Toon World have a taste of your soul, the book is in a way, sentient.”

“I’ll do that, and my soul tastes just awful, I’ve been told.” Folteren chuckled, “Well, take care of Moony and your Magnaguard.”

“Will do, I have a feeling that these new Toons will give my deck the power boost it needed.” Pegasus smiled, “I assume you know how to do this?”

“Counteract complete.” Folteren said with a smile.

Toon World shook violently causing an explosion of light, when the light faded away, Pegasus and the Toons around him disappeared, the book slammed shut and fell to the ground.

Pegasus opened his eyes, looking around his new surroundings he noticed that he had returned to the temple, he reached into his deck and grabbed his six new cards, “A great power boost indeed.”

“MAX!”

Turning towards the source of the shouting, he saw a Kuriboh flying towards him. “Max, just where have you been?!”

Pegasus smiled, “Well if you must know, I’ve just been summoned by another displaced, I even got six new Toon cards!” He said showing Jack the new cards.

“What?!” Jack moaned, “Great, now how am I supposed to beat you when you’re keep getting new cards!”

“What’s wrong Jack? Finally realized that you can’t beat me in yu-gi-oh?” Pegasus said with a smirk.

The Kuriboh scoffed, “Oh please! My Kuriboh deck will beat yours 10 seconds flat!”

“Then why don’t we test that theory?”

Jack narrowed his eyes. “Your on.”

Folteren’s Shuttle landed on his Mini-Death-Star. Folteren was so happy, he bounced around the base as his guards brought Luna along. His now dubbed “Mane Three” where smiling as well.

“This. Is. THE BEST DAY EVER!!!” He yelled.

“LETS HAVE A PARTY!!!” Folteren and Pinkie screamed in unison. ‘We are so related!’

Then Folteren sighed, “Wait. I’ll catch up with you girls after I take care of Luna.”

“Oh, thats okay! We’ll meet you there!” Dash said.

Folteren nodded. The group split up, getting sidetracked by the fact they were in space.

When Folteren reached the medical bay, the droids set her down.

“I have no idea what to do with her…” Folteren thought for a moment, then he remembered what Freddy told him, “I know! Sandy, erase her mind and age!”

[As you wish.]

And thus, Lord Folteren’s new apprentice was born.

Ch. 6- The purest form of harmony: Death, and the purest form of Chaos: Destruction

View Online

"Now Starlight, today's lesson will be a bit different compared to the other lessons." Pegasus walked over to his student, putting down a tome in front of her.

Starlight looked at the large tome, opening it. "We're not going to continue our lessons in duel monsters?"

Pegasus shook his head, "No, today we will be learning about all the different types of harmony." He opened the book to a specific page.

"There are more than one type?" Starlight asked.

"Yes, and today we will be studying the different types of it." Pegasus pointed at a specific paragraph in the book. "This Starlight, is the most purest, basic, and the most feared type of harmony: Death." He then pointed at the image of a skeletal pony, "All are equal in the eyes of death, it doesn't matter if you were once a king, a priest, or a farmer. In the end, we are all equal in death."

Starlight looked down, a bit scarred. Seeing her discomfort in the subject, Pegasus moved on, "This form of harmony is one that is commonly practice: Tyranny."

Starlight perked up, "Hey! That's what the history books label you as! Tyranny!"

Pegasus frowned, before he can say anything, he felt something calling towards him, "Well Starlight, we will have to continue this another day, I am needed elsewhere!"

The filly hugged his leg, "Can I please come with you! You never take me anywhere, please! I promise to not be a bother!"

Pegasus rolled his eyes, smiling, "Alright fine, just be sure to behave!"

"I will!"

Rau sighed as he gazed out into the forest, taking a slow sip from his drink. “Damn that fool, only prolonging the inevitable,” he took another sip, looking over his shoulder as one of his servants walked into the room. “Yes?” he asked, his voice level.

“Master, we were cleaning one of the rooms and discovered this,” the mare said, keeping her eyes on the floor, holding out a rather strange looking book.

“Hmm... what do we have here?” he asked, taking it from her, looking it over. He paused, looking at her, “You’re dismissed.”

“Yes master,” she said with a bow before leaving to resume her duties.

“Now... lets see what you are,” he said, taking a seat by the fireplace, flipping the book open, freezing when he heard a voice echo through his head.

“True peace can only be achieved through power, true harmony can only be achieved if all are united under one single banner. If you are ever in need of assistance or if you are a fellow warrior of harmony, summon us and we will come to you. I am Pegasus, Spirit of Harmony, and wielder of the Millennium Items.”

“Well now, isn’t that interesting,” Rau muttered to himself. He took a moment to make sure his mask was in place before retrieving the book. “Hear me Pegasus, I request an audience, if you have the time.”

The book started shaking violently, glowing sinisterly, it zapped Rau with a small dose of electricity. Spinning in place a strange music played from it, a purple vortex appeared next to it, dropping of a well dressed man, a small ball of fur, and a lavender filly. The man looked around his surroundings, his gaze fell onto their host. “Hello there my good man, I believe it was you who summoned us?”

“In the flesh,” Rau said with a slight nod, “I am Rau, Rau Le Creuset a pleasure,” he said, flashing a smile, holding his hand out.

Pegasus gave a small smile, he grabbed his hand and shook it. “Likewise.” Pegasus turned to the other two behind him, “These two are my companions Starlight, and Jack Kuriboh.” The other two waved.

Rau’s eyes rested on Starlight, a slight grin appearing on his face before vanishing. “Please have a seat, I shall have the servants bring us some refreshments.” Rau gave a slight bow, gesturing towards the rooms seats.

“Thank you.” Pegasus said, walking towards the a open seat, the rest followed his example, the Kuriboh just floated above his seat. “Now, for what reason you have called us here?”

“I was curious. Your little message in your book caught my interest, surely you have time to talk?” he asked taking his seat again. A few moments later, a vacant looking mare walked in, carrying a tray with their drinks. “I’ve never seen a creature like your companion before,” he gestured toward Starlight, “As you can see, the creatures here are more...humanoid.” he gestured to the mare, who stared at the floor, standing off to the side.

“I see… Well Starlight here, I can only guess is like all the other unicorns here in this world, only quadruped.” Pegasus gained a proud smile, “In fact she could even be more, after all she is my student in the dark arts.”

“Ah yes magic,” Rau said, taking a sip of his drink, “I don’t practice myself. Now, this harmony you spoke of, tell me about it.”

Pegasus smile grew, “Ah yes, true harmony you see is the equality of all living creatures. True Harmony is a plan that will guarantee no room for chaos, by removing all differences and making sure that all living things are treated as equals, unlike the ponies foolish false harmony, they’re nothing but a bunch of xenophobic hypocrites!” His smile became a scowl for a brief second before regaining his normal look.

“Your only partly right my friend,” Rau said, looking into his drink, swirling it around a little, “If there is one absolute truth, it is that all life is utterly meaningless. We delude ourselves with our self-righteous and self-centered instincts, competing with each other to climb to the top.”

“In a way, you are right my friend.” Pegasus took a sip of his drink. “However I believe that there are a certain few, a lucky few, who were born to change the world, whether it be the good of the world or the bad, it’s all up to them. I believe that I am one of those few, destined to be the shepherd leading his flock of sheep to the righteous path, and in a way I guess I do delude myself into thinking that.”

“Why torment yourself saying, ‘eventually, someday?’” Rau asked, finishing his drink, “How long have you been fighting with your thoughts clouded by that brand of sweet poison?”

“Too long.” He answered somberly, “I have tried several times to make the ponies see the errors of their ways, fortunately the minotaurs were one of the ones who practiced my ideals and have almost achieved true harmony, after a war broke out, I have decided that the only way to make them see what I see, was by force.”

“Since I have arrived here, I have waited for them to destroy themselves,” Rau said, leaning back in his seat, hands in his lap, “ But that damned King Of Hearts interfered. He put in place a tournament, held every four years, between the nations of this world. Each sends one fighter to compete and the last one standing rules all the other nations. Impressively, there hasn’t been a single war in the past thousand years.”

“My, my, that sounds impressive.” Pegasus said, looking surprised, “I’m shocked to hear that the other nations would just surrender themselves so easily, with a system like that, how is anyone sure that there isn’t any nation cheating?”

“That's where the Shuffle Alliance comes in,” Rau started, “They make sure all nations follow the rules of combat.”

“And how are they so sure that no one is using some type of non magical enhancements?”

“The tournaments are fought using machines known as Gundams, though here they are more like magi-tech golems,” Rau stood up, walking toward the windows. “I was hoping to use this year tournament to provoke a war but the King decided to return. I’ve decided to be more... direct in my efforts.”

“I assume you have some type of army?” Pegasus asked.

“Why of course,” Rau said turning to him, wearing a grin that didn’t look all that sane, “ Why don’t I show you?” he asked, moving toward the door, gesturing for them to follow.

The three stood up, following their guest. “And the other nations, if you start a war will they be going against you?”

“Maybe, they can do as they wish,” he said with a shrug, stepping into an elevator. Once they were all inside, he hit the button for the lowest floor. “The result will be the same.”

“You seek to destroy them all, but for what?” He asked.

“To end it all,” Rau spoke, his voice dripping with malice, “To end all their self centered greed. To end their hate, their jealousy. It’s what they crave really, to be the best of the best, no matter the species, they are all the same. You, me, starlight, all of us are merely parasites, sucking the world dry.”

“And when you end them? What then?”

“I suppose I’ll end my own life, if I’m still alive at that point,” Rau smiled as the elevator came to a stop, opening up onto a catwalk. “Behold my friends, the Death Army!” he declared, throwing his arms out. In a vast cavern below them were thousands of robots, each several stories tall, sporting a single glowing purple eye.

The two behind Pegasus gasped in awe. “Impressive, though I doubt they will be much of a match against my chaotic underlings.”

“My dear Pegasus, the Death Army is unstoppable,” Rau turned, a manic grin on his face, “They replicate indefinitely, no matter how many you destroy, more will rise in their place,” he locked his gaze on Starlight, his grin widening, “My dear Starlight, would you like to see this worlds version of yourself?”

Starlight looked around, a bit uncomfortable, “I-I guess.”

He snapped his fingers, a large hulking machine rising up behind him. It had the torso of a humanoid robot but below that was a mess of what looked like tentacles. “This is the Dark Gundam, the ultimate machine. Self-evolving, self-repairing, self-replicating. The only problem is, it requires a female host in order to achieve maximum potential..” Behind him, the mess of tentacles shifted, revealing a humanoid Starlight assimilated into it. “You made the perfect host.”

Starlight whimpered, hiding behind Pegasus. “Now Starlight, don’t worry.” Pegasus studied the machine, his Millennium eye glowing, “This machine, can it cast any chaos magic?”

“She came to me, so lost and disheartened after Princess Twilight tore down her world,” Rau continued, completely ignoring Pegasus, “She wanted a world of equality and she shall have it! All things are equal in death! I will use the Dark Gundam and its army and consume this world in an inferno of hate! I will scotch the life from this world and free it from us parasites!” Rau shouted, starting to laugh like an utter madman.

‘Death, the most basic, purest, and the most feared type of harmony, it is something even I wouldn’t dare touch.’ Pegasus thought, frowning a bit. “You seek to purge all life in the world, but what then? What will happen after it is done? What will live in this world then?”

“Nothing!” Rau grinned, throwing his arms out, “Isn’t it grand? A world free of desires, free of hate! Free of everything us parasites pollute it with!”

“But then, what purpose does the world have? It was created so that it may house creatures such as us. I am not a fan of genocide, hypocritical of me to say something like that when I have caused a genocide myself.” Pegasus started to questioned.

“We have no purpose you fool!” Rau snapped at him, “We are all meaningless, self-important specks that delude ourselves into thinking we have a meaning.” He reached into his uniform, pulling out a pistol, which he promptly placed against his head, “Why if I hadn't decided to help the world along, I would have no qualms with putting a bullet through my skull.”

“I made a promise to myself a while back, I will not let another genocide happen when I’m able to prevent it.” Pegasus glared, “I’m sorry, the chat has been nice, but I cannot allow you commit genocide onto this world.”

“Genocide?” Rau laughed, “You think so small. This my friend is omnicide,” Rau moved down the catwalk, some lights turning on, revealing a grey mech with a strange contraption on its back. “This is the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam. I shall ride this machine into the battlefield and slay the King Of Hearts while the Death Army consumes the world.”

Pegasus stared at the machine, his scowl became a light hearted smile, “Rau, while this is all impressive, I’m afraid that I still can’t allow you to do all of this” Pegasus said, gesturing at everything around them, “It’s one thing to want to destroy a nation for your ideals, but it’s another to want to destroy something just because you want to, I will give you one chance, abandon your plan, or I will be stop it.”

“You may try Pegasus, you most likely won’t succeed.” Rau said with a grin, leveling his pistol at them.

Pegasus chuckled sinisterly, “Rau, trust me, you don’t know who you’re dealing with right now.” The Millennium Eye glowed uncontrollably. “Allow me help you to understand.” Slamming a card onto his duel disk, a large golem like creature appeared, it’s cartoonish eyes glared at Rau. “This is a toon, one of the last things you will ever see if you don’t put a stop to this plan of yours.”

“Nothing will sway me from this path,” Rau said, glaring back at the creature from behind his mask, “”I’m giving you one chance, leave before I decide to end you as well.”

Pegasus scowl returned, his glare hardened, “I’m afraid that isn’t an option, Toon Ancient Gear Golem, attack!” The Toon leaped at Rau, it’s claws clenched into a fist. It caught Rau in the chest, sending him flying with a sickening thud. He laid there motionless for a few moments before he started to get up, coughing up some blood, grinning.

“I told you the Dark Gundam was self-repairing. I didn’t mention that it can share that power with others. Why... it can even bring back the dead.” he spit out some blood, staggering to his feet.

Pegasus took out another card and summoned it, “Then all I have to do is destroy it! Toon Magnaguard destroy the Dark Gundam!” In a small explosion of light a small robot appeared, it’s yellow cape flowed in the non existent wind, it leaped at the gundam, it’s spear pointing directly at it.

The Dark Gundam’s eyes glowed and several metallic tentacles rose up around it, each tipped with a copy of its head. They fired off blasts of energy at the toon, the Gundam protecting its core.

The toon’s eyes widen, laughing, it pulled out a stop sign, causing the energy bolts to stop and fire at random directions. The Magnaguard threw it’s spear at the gundam, purple electricity flowed through the tips of the spear.

It seemed to glare at the toon, easily smacking the spear away like it was a tooth pick. It rose up into the air, two flower like devices rising up out of its back. It fired off another blast from them, this time laced with chaotic magic.

The toon’s robotic mouth dropped, touching the floor, quickly it tried to fly away, only to be destroyed by the blast, it’s body shattering like glass. Pegasus clutched his heart, feeling a spike in pain, looking at his duel disk, his life points dropped from 8000 to 7500. “Damn…. I didn’t expect it to use chaos magic.” He hissed.

“I told you, self-evolving,” Rau laughed, straightening his stance, “Throw what you like at it, it’ll just adapt and overcome it.”

Toon world started shaking violently, opening, the Toon Magnaguard appeared again, only this time weaker and it’s head missing, two large floating eyes hovered above the damaged body. “Toon Magnaguard’s special effect.” Pegasus smiled, “I’m sorry old chum, but I’m going to have to use you for a ritual summon.” The toon slauted and shattered. Pegasus looked at the five cards in his hand, “First I summon the Toon Unicorn Guard!” The foal sized unicorn toon appeared it glared at his opponents. “Then I’ll use The Nightmare’s parasite ritual!” The toon pony was consumed by a blue mist, only to be replaced by a foal sized Toon Nightmare Moon. “Let’s see your gundam get away from her.”

“Why would it need too?” Rau asked as the cave around them shock. “You see, this entire mountain is hollow, with the Dark Gundam filling up the vast majority of it.” he stepped back, moving toward the Providence as the mountain started to collapse.

“I won’t let you win.” Pegasus hissed. “Your gundam can be as big as a castle, but I won’t back down! Toon Nightmare Moon, go!!” The toon flew up to the gundam, firing several magical bolts at the gundam. The blasts tore through the Dark Gundam, though almost immediately, those holes started to repair themselves. It reared up, firing off another barrage of lasers, lacing off of its shoots with chaos magic.

“Starlight was indeed the perfect host,” Rau laughed as he climbed into the Providence, starting to prep it for launch.

“Doppelganger!” A long blue cat appeared besides Pegasus, “Mimic the Dark Gundam!” The cat saluted, leaping at the Dark Gundam, it transformed itself into a perfect copy. The Gundam fired energy bolts filled with chaotic magic.

“You're starting to annoy me,” Rau said as he activated the Providence, closing the cockpit. “Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the Providence is nuclear.”

The toon golem jumped at the Providence, landing on top of the cockpit, he glared at Rau, clenching his fist, he rose his fist, determine to drag him out of the machine.

“Phase Shift armor, this unit is impervious to kinetic weapons,” Rau explained, typing away at the controls. “How does this sound Pegasus? You and your ilk leave and I won’t overload the Providence’s reactor. I know magic can do a lot but I know for damn sure it won’t protect you at ground zero of a nuclear blast.”

Pegasus gritted his teeth, “Fine. Do not think this is over! I will return to stop this insane plan of yours!”

“By the time you return, it’ll already be over.”

Looking at his Dark Gundam copy, he smirked, “We’ll see about that, I’ll be back.” Toon World shook, absorbing the gundam copy, it transformed it into a Toon, a copy of his card returned to Pegasus. He looked back, a dark aura covered the Millennium Eye, “We’ll be seeing each other very soon Rau.” The book absorbed the three, shaking violently it stopped floating and closed.

“I highly doubt that,” Rau said as the mountain continued to collapse. He blasted his way out, the Dark Gundam bursting out from the wreckage, it’s army following after it. “It seems we have to find a new base of operations.” Rau commented, looking at the ruined landmark. “Pity.” he turned, flying off, the Dark gundam burrowing under the ground to follow.
