> The Tale Of A Timelady > by hollowsbest > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Willa, Third Person; Limited Willa grinned as she looked about the con, her fangirl mind in a tizzy. So many things to buy and never enough cash, but thankfully Willa had been saving up for awhile. So she had a few hundred. "So, where we going first?" She asked, grinning like a maniac. "The panels don't start till later, we can go look at all the merch now if we like." Ro said, glancing at a pamphlet she was holding. "Okay, let's go get merch!" Kyla said with grin as she headed to the merch stalls with Ro and Willa following. "First stall!" Willa said, it was a Doctor Who stall with little hand-made TARDIS figurines and other merch. "Ooo, mine!" Willa said, paying the 20 dollars and putting the TARDIS in one of her many pockets on her cosplay. Ro bought one as well; Kyla wasn't a Whovian and so moved on to another stall. "Hey! Willa! I found a sonic screwdriver, I think it's the Doctor's one you're cosplaying as." Kyla said, dragging Willa down to a table with many different items laid out. "Awesome! How much is it mister?" Willa asked, picking up the sonic screwdriver. She pushed the button and it lit up with the familiar sound of buzzing, she pushed the top up and nodded; not hearing the man when he replied to her question. "Hey, Willa. He said it's 100 bucks because it's handmade." Kyla said, shaking her friend as Willa looked up with a grin. "Awesome!" She said paying for the sonic and sticking it in her coat top inside pocket. "Thanks mate, I've been needing this." Willa said, grinning. She spun around to check out another stall be fell over, feeling dizzy. "Willa you okay?" She heard Kyla ask, Willa shook her head and started to panic. Dark spots were starting to appear in her vision. "I've added a few little changes to your new screwdriver." Willa heard the Merchant say before the darkness claimed her. Willa, First Person View I opened my eyes blearily, eyes widening as I saw a blue box heading for my head. I rolled a few meters and heard a thump as it landed, I glanced over and stare. It was the TARDIS, the full sized type 40 TARDIS with the broken chameleon circuit. "What." I said as I sat up and stared at her. "What?" I said again and stood up and walked over to her. "What?!" I exclaimed, as I finished going around the outside. "Time to test it." I muttered as I tested the doors to see if they'd open. They did. I opened the doors fully and full on stare, then I grinned. "Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!!" I exclaimed, jumping into the TARDIS and shutting the doors. "I don't care how, or why. I just care if I can get you to work." I said to Sexy, what? She's called Sexy, seriously. I cracked my knuckles then realised my cosplay felt more comfortable, as well as my breasts were smaller. "Okay, either I've gone crazy; which is a possibility, or I'm somehow the female Tenth Doctor." I said, the TARDIS hummed; she was replying to my question, though I couldn't understand her. I checked the rest of my body and it wasn't mine, I checked my hair last and frowned. "Seems I'm not ginger." I said, before bursting into giggles. My hair was a brown that matched the Tenth Doctor's hair, and it was unruly as his. I had dyed my hair and it had been too much of a light brown. "So, I'm the female Tenth Doctor. AWESOME!" I said, checking the console for a key. "Hmm, hey Sexy? Can you show me where one of your keys are? I don't have one and it's not a good idea for me to go outside without one." I say, glancing around the room before watching the console again. A little tube opped out of the console and I picked it up, it split open in my hands to reveal a shiny TARDIS key. "Thanks!" I said with another grin, pocketing the key. "Now, let's see if I can fly you, you beautiful thing." I murmured, I then shook my head. 'Honestly Willa, you're acting like the Doctor...' "WHAT?!" I exclaimed, were his and my personalities merging or something?! I took a few deep breaths and swung the screen around. "Let's see if I can get this to work." I muttered, pressing a few buttons and getting a light to scan me bringing up my info on the screen. "Huh, first regeneration. Cool, so I'm good for twelve regenerations before I die die. Personality shows traits of me and the Doctor's, so I guess I've kept most of my mindset; just got his zaniness, no more introvert me, higher intellect and, and... his tendency to talk aloud." I said, glancing at the chart again. "So slight merge." I muttered before grinning, it wasn't that bad. I pressed a few buttons to try and get the TARDIS to move through time and space before I gave up. "I have no idea how to do this." I said, glaring at the console. I heard another hum from Sexy, I glanced at the screen. "Why?" I asked, then rolled my eyes as the TARDIS hummed again. I placed my hands on the telepathic circuits and got a crash course on TARDIS navigation, understanding, driving, the most used rooms in the TARDIS and a sort of telepathic communication between me and Sexy (It kinda let's me know when she's under attack, her emotions and being moved.) it's useful for when she lets me know I'm doing something stupid. For example, when I squealed fangirlishly when I got her to move. As I set the coordinates for a few feet away, and it worked I squealed. Like a little girl; yes I know I'm a girl but it's still demeaning when Sexy is gonna show it to every companion you're gonna have. "Hmm, let's see. Time to explore!" I said with glee, I backed out backwards to see if I could wrap my head around the science. I gave up when my head started to hurt. "Okay, never gonna do that again." I muttered, and shut the door and swung around. You know those moments when you act casual to a guy or gal who you really really like and who's famous? Yeah, me neither. When I swung around I saw Luna and Celestia glaring at me, I tried to hold a in another squeal of fangirlishness; it came out as an"eep". I then realised what was in their magic, the Elements of Harmony. I winced realising what was gonna happen if I didn't intervene. "Sister, what is Faust's name is that?" Asked Luna who gave me a glare. "I believe it is one of Discord's chaos creatures." Celestia answered. 'Discord's what what?' I was about to open my mouth when Luna opened her mouth. "Same as usual?" She asked in a bored tone, Celestia nodded. I widened my eyes as their magic spun the gems faster until a rainbow appeared. "Buck." I muttered, grabbed onto the TARDIS backwards with my hands so I faced outwards just before the rainbow hit. 'Don't the Elements turn the evil guys to stone? Hmm, better safe than sorry I guess.' I thought, standing proud the a jaunty grin on my face as I got hit with the rainbow beam of power. And that ladies and gentlemen, is how to get stoned by two Alicorns, be in the wrong place, in the wrong time. > 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roughly 1050 years later and I'm still not free, once I got stoned. I had gotten moved to my own little pedestal next to Discord; who by the way can talk. You can telepathically talk between the stoned statues, if you're close enough to them. Discord was the only guy I could talk to while stoned so we made up places in our mind to visit each other in and chat in. Never ask about his time before I came about, he nearly went more insane from the loneliness. Not a good thing, so we've been chatting the years away and commenting about the nobles who visit the gardens. I told Discord about the day we'd get free and we've spent our days plotting, why did I plot? Because Celestia came and gloated at us knowing we could hear her, Luna didn't because she was banished by the time Celestia started the annual gloat at the statues day. And that was when I decided to plot with Discord, to help his plan go as normal; discord the Elements and create chaos. I knew it would fail and he'd get reformed, that was as much as I needed to go right. My own plot was to stone Celestia for a few years and leave her somewhere no one could find her for a few years or until freed her, it was a good plan. I just needed a unicorn that would stone Celestia, by tricking them into thinking she was evil and needed to be stoned. Or something. I had gotten free for a few days thanks to the TARDIS cracking the stone open in around the 400th year, I had caused a little chaos thanks to an amulet Discord had told me about. It gave me chaos magic while I wore it, but it corrupted me slightly when I used it. But thanks to my intellect I could easily stop using the amulet when I started to create major chaos. Tia had a little fight with me and blasted me with the Elements, which stoned me again. Willa, First Person. Canterlot Castle Statue Garden, Canterlot "58 bottles of beer on the wall, 58 bottles of beer! Take one down and pass it around and now you've got 57 bottles of beer on the wall!" Discord sang. I groaned, I now really wished I hadn't taught him that song. It had been fun the first hundred times, no more, no less. I perked up when I spotted Cheerilee. "Hey Discord, shut up! Cheerilee's here!" I exclaimed. "That pony who is bringing the kids who'll help us escape?" "Yep!" "Can't wait, I've got a horrible itch on my nose for the past few hundred years." Discord said, his eyes following Cheerilee and her class as she walked down the path to our statues. "This is a Chaos Creature, Discord created creatures like this all over Equestria. A thousand years ago the Princesses captured it and moved it here. And the statue next to it is Discord..." I stopped listening then, I had the info I needed. "Honestly, they think I created you?! What a laugh, we both know you're from another universe and at alien at that." Discord said. "Yeah, crazy right? I'm like 'poof' I'm in Equestria awesome, on noes. I just go stoned. You created mix-matched creatures, I'm fairly symmetrical. It's a travesty it is!" I exclaimed, I felt Discord nodding. I then glanced down at the Crusaders, they had started to fight and cracks were slowly appearing in Discord's statue. The class moved on after Cheerilee gave them a talking too and Discord broke free after a few seconds to see if they would backtrack and warn everypony before the chaos could begin. "Finally!" He said as he scratched his nose, he then snapped his claw and I broke free. "Well, now we know it hurts to be a statue!" I said with a grimace. "Yep, I'll go enact our plan." Discord said with a smirk, I nodded and stroked my TARDIS. "I'll be around, probably in the Everfree. If you need help send a message on my psychic paper, I'll come." I said, and opened the TARDIS doors and slipped in. "Let's see, psychic paper would be where exactly?" I wondered, and felt the TARDIS brush my thoughts; she sent me a map of where to go. "Okay thanks!" I said with a grin, eagerly trotting to the room where all the spares were kept. After finding the paper I happily explored the place, I picket up an extra key and sonic incase mine broke when it was crucial part of the mission. "Now, let's see. Got what I needed, now to explore Equestria! After entering the coordinates for the Everfree, I grabbed onto the fence-like thing and held on until the TARDIS stopped shaking. After she stopped I walked out the doors and grinned, I shut the door behind me and glanced around. Between a few trees I could see what I presumed to be Zecora's hut, around my TARDIS was a smallish clearing. I nodded with a grin, 'Perfect.' I thought before making my way between the trees into Zecora's hut clearing. After I avoided contact with Zecora, I headed for Ponyville to see the chaos Discord had brung. I stare at Ponyville, it was much more chaos-y than the episode had shown. "I wonder what it feels like when you walk on a soap road?" I murmured to myself as I watch the Elements in their Discorded state try to stop Discord. I shook my head as I saw their pathetic attempt to stop him, I watched as Twilight herself got Discorded and moped her way home. "Heyo Doc!" Discord said as he appeared next to me. "Hey Discord, whatcha gonna do now?" I asked and he smirked. "I'm going to continue where I left off, or maybe I'll just- Hey I'm not going to spill all my plans Doc, a guy's gotta have secrets! Anyway see you later!" He said and snapped his claw and vanished. I smirked and settled down to watch Discord's defeat, Discord had sat himself on a throne in the middle of Ponyville and thanks to the houses in the air I could see to it's centre; or at least to Discord. A few hours later the Elements showed up, and everything went as planned. "Sorry mate, this had to happen." I muttered before turning and heading back to my TARDIS before Pinkie could spot me. Once inside I pressed a few buttons and threw a few switches to take myself to a week after Discord had been reformed, I took a guess and hoped no episode was happening. It would interfere with my plan of stoning Celestia, I stopped. Realising all the holes in my plan, it was just 'Convince powerful unicorn Celestia has turned evil, and convince said unicorn to stone Celestia.' "Wow, nearly walked right into that one." I said, before formulating a better plan that was foolproof. It could take awhile, but it would be worth it. I opened the doors of my TARDIS and stepped through them, breathing in the beautiful air of the Everfree. I heard a quite "pop!" behind me and I spun around and saw Discord, who was looking very annoyed. "Explain. Now." He said, creating a glass of cotton candy and sipping it. "Explain what?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "You knew the plan was going to fail, why didn't you tell me? I'm annoyed at that, but because I'm reformed and all; I won't turn you into... Something, still thinking about what that something would've been." "Of course I knew it would fail, it needed to for mine. You would fail, be reformed in a month or two. Then my plan of getting on the Elements' good side and Luna's comes in action, Celestia can go eat a rock for all I care. Sorry about not being to help you, also how's Fluttershy?" I said, with a grin. "She's fine... Hey! It had to happen did it? Well it means I had to turn your sonic into a glass of chocolate milk doesn't it." Discord said with scowl. "Calm down, you're reformed plus what would Fluttershy think?" I said, checking my coat to see if my sonic was still there, it was. Discord mumbled something intelligible. "Sorry about not visiting you, but I jumped straight from after you were turned to stone to now. With a few stops in between. Again, couldn't warn you because then you wouldn't be reformed. Also, is there a manhunt out for me yet?" "No, no manhunt. And I understand but I don't have to like it." Discord said, pouting before brightening. "I don't think Sunbutt wants to tell the Elements that she let me and you escape. Plus, she grilled me about you and all I let out was that you weren't a chaos creature; just a gal who was in the wrong place in the wrong time." "Thanks Discord." I said, nodding in gratitude. > 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discord and I chatted for awhile before he popped off to who-knows where, I went back to my TARDIS and pulled a few switches, heading all the way back to Nightmare Night. It would be easy to bring Luna over to my side, I would just have to catch her when she was moping by the Nightmare Moon statue. I found the statue fairly easily and climbed up a tree close to it, I hid myself in the branches so I could watch and wait for Luna. It was a stupid plan, but I came up with lots of stupid plans; such as, hide myself in a tree and hope I don't get spotted. An hour after the foals came and went, Luna came up to the statue moping; it was the perfect time. I slowly climbed down the tree and leant against it, Luna's back was to me. "So, you finally realised what being feared is like. Horrible isn't it? But we all know why they fear you, because of the lies your sister spread, because of the lies she spread about me; I can't even visit Ponyville without panic. It's the same with you." "Thy... Thy art right, we do not know why our sister did not stop the rumours; though if thou are not a Chaos Creature, what are thou?" "I am a Timelady, my name is the Doctor; and I travel through time. I know why you sister didn't stop the rumours, it as because she didn't care. Like she didn't care when she sent her student to take on something that if done wrong; would've killed her. Like she didn't care to tell her student anything about Discord, or any of the other monsters of Equestria's past." "We... must agree with thou." "Luna, I'll help you reverse the rumours. Unlike your sister who doesn't care." I spot Twilight in her Starswirl the Bearded outfit and take a deep breath. "We thank thee." "We'll meet again, don't drop any hints to your sister about me, nor to Twilight who's going to help you have fun tonight. Goodbye Luna, until we meet again Princess Of The Night." I say with a bow. "We thank thee for they help Doctor, goodbye." She says, bowing her head in return. I spin on my heel and walk into the forest back to my TARDIS, smirking the whole way, the seed of doubt had been placed; it just needed some tending. I had been bluffing most of what I said, though Luna ate it up; though some of it was true. Celestia hadn't tried to dispel the rumours nor had she comforted her sister in her time of need. I heard Twilight's voice then Luna's, but I didn't listen; what I did do was walk into my TARDIS and travel to my next stop, a day after the day I talked with Discord. Flicking a few levers and pushing a button and off I went. I sat on the seat within the TARDIS console room, deep in thought; my timestream was slowly collapsing on itself. I had to find a way to stop it; I had felt the decay while a statue and thought nothing of it. While traveling with my TARDIS I had somehow sped the process; at the rate my timestream was collapsing, I would have a year at most to stabilize the problem. Any longer and I would cease to exist, all versions of me in any timestream would vanish and I would never have been born or sent into this world; I would've vanished on Earth and never arrived on Gaia. Which meant no more trips with the TARDIS unless I had no other choice, I was such a fool for thinking using a TARDIS that wasn't truly mine wouldn't come with any price. I cradled my head in my hands, my life was slowly destroying itself and I had no plans or ideas on how to stop it; I was utterly useless.
