This is a short telling of how the earth, ponies, and Equestria came to be. It starts with the first beings of existence and ends with Celestia and Luna becoming Princesses. It manly focuses on the Alicorn Prince named Altor, who Altor is and was, and what all he did for the beginning of Equestria. In this story, I used bits and pieces from Greek, Tolkien, Elder Scrolls, mythology. Nevertheless, I mainly used my own myths.
There was Addas Pater, the one, who in history was called All Father; and he made the first sons, the holy one and forsaken one, they were the offspring of his thought, and they were with him before aught else was made. And he spoke to them, propounding to them themes of music; and they sang before him and he was glad. Nevertheless, for a long while they sang only to each alone, for each comprehended only that part of the mind of Addas Pater from which he came. Therefore, Addas Pater sang unto them again, and ever as they listened, they came to deeper understanding, and increased in unison and harmony.
And it came to pass, the Addas Pater had used all of his power to form his children, therefore, he faded and was broken up, and became the void. Wherefore, with none to test him the youngest changed his song to fit that, which was in his heart. He brought chaos and the once great song was no more forever. The eldest fought with him in power. However, they were equals and destroyed one another.
There blood was spilt into the cosmos and formed one to another. Two drops of blood which were large in size came together, wherefore, they formed a being of great power. The two became one and that one was the beginning for he was the reincarnation of the first thereof, which was Addas Pater. However, he was more than Addas Pater was, and more than the two sons of him were. for he is known as The Father where as Addas was known as the All Father, The Father had harmony and chose, and was master of both.
Wherefore he created two like his former self, however, these two were with purpose. The first was matter, as he would later be called Earth; he is also Time past, future, present. All things that fill the universe are in him. The second was named Night, Night was made different, so that Time and Night could be one with another. Therefore, they would prosper, in so Night was the first female. Therefore, she is known as The Mother, or Creation. Many associate the nighttime with darkness, however, Night was a righteous being, for there was no evil at this point in time, other than what was left in the second son.
There was no light other than the all father for he radiated light and all the cosmos were filled with his light. Time and Night fell in love and laid one with each other, therefore, emotion was born and the strongest of these was love so it came to be, their daughter was named Love.
Time spoke with Night of his wish for their daughter to grow happy, so Night wished to make a place of peace and harmony for her to do so. She went to the father and with permission took some of his light and it was the purest of all lights, she put it in a choice place in the universe, which Time had showed her. The Father, impressed by this, gave Time all of his light, and bid him to give it unto all. Time spread his father’s light to every corner of the cosmos, giving some to stars, suns, and solar systems.
Time then made a planate, and he being time made other planets that were the first but were many in number, these he called alternate dimensions. Moreover, all were different but many were the same, there is a number to these dimensions but it is unknown to us. So much power made the first worlds flatter than others did, and the pure light that was given was still, and so was the second light, which was given, was still.
Time and Night came together and from their thoughts made a being of power, and he was called Magic. Magic and Love fell into each other. From them the Titans were born.
Night or Creation made everything, which is on the planet, which was called after its maker Earth. However, it would fall apart and not holds, so Time made four gems from his being, these gems were of great power and held the seasons of the earth. Time thin told his beloved family to make one gem each.
Therefore, they did, Night’s gem was that of Wind, Love’s gem was that of Fire, and Magic’s gem was that of Water. Time made a fifth gem which was that of him Earth. However, they were as if unto a glass half way and something was missing. Night then put four of the gems with the other four and made eight gems into four. Wind was with Winter, Earth was with Summer, Spring was with Water, and Fire was with Autumn. These new four gems were so powerful that they made four new beings. And these beings were good before them as children.
Time being Time, put his beloved family to sleep, and hid them in the two lights, which were given to the world. He then went to his grandchild Asteria, for she took after her grandmother. Time told her that she had a great work to do and that work would be to bring to pass a harmonious people to all the worlds Time had made. Once she had accepted this he to slept, until the work was done. For he is the future, he was the past, and he is the present.
Left to on their own, the Titans became the rulers of the world. The chief among them was Uranus, Uranus and Gaia had a son named Cronus. Cronus envied his father’s power so he overthrew his father. Many years later, he also had children, but he consumed them before they could kill him. His wife gave birth to their sixth child Zeus in secret. When Zeus was grown, he made Cronus disgorge the contents of his stomach, therefore giving him his brothers and sisters. They overthrew Cronus and became the Olympians. One of the sons of Cronus named Poseidon, at one point desired the Goddess Demeter. To deter him, Demeter asked him to make the most beautiful animal that the world had ever seen. Then Asteria gave him a vision dream, showing him what to make. Therefore, in an effort to impress Demeter, Poseidon created the first horse. His first attempts were unsuccessful and he created many a creature. Thus by the time the perfect horse was created, his passion for Demeter had diminished.
However, he had created what the Goddess Hara called an Alicorn, a mix of three other horses Poseidon made. These two Alicorns were made as powerful as the gods themselves were, and they were beyond beautiful. So therefore, some of the gods wanted them for many reasons. However, the male and female Alicorns were in love with one another and none else.
This angered many of the Gods and Goddesses, so Asteria followed the commandments of her grandfather which were told to her in secrete, and took the Alicorns to the first world, the world that was made before all else was. And so far had not been inhabited do to the intrusions of Time himself.
Asteria then awoke Time and his family as commanded beforehand. Time saw all that was and was pleased. He confronted the two Alicorns and they bowed before him and his family. Time stepped aside and Night came forward, Night then put her lips to their heads and blessed them. Time then came, put his hands on their heads, and gave unto them all the powers of his family, all of himself, Night, Love, Magic, and the four younger beings.
He and his beloved then went up and were translated into the universe around them. The two Alicorns then had stewardship over all; they came together and made three children. The first was a son of large stature, and the two after were daughters of great beauty. They lived in peace for many years making many beautiful things and creatures.
The two Alicorns and their children lived in much joy and prosperity, until two Olympians from the other world, ‘which had been destroyed,’ had come, passed through space and came unto them. They were the God Apollo and the Goddess Artemis.
They said unto the Alicorns.
“We are they who are master, thou shale bow before us!”
To which the Alicorns responded with a swift end to the God Apollo. Artemis grew angered at them and took many of the creatures that they had made and mutilated them. Through her was made things like the Changeling the Draconequus, and Windigo.
It came to pass that when the two Alicorns fought with Artemis, they were mortally wounded. However, before they died they gave one another names the male gave the female the name Luna, and Luna gave her lover the name Sol. Sol and Luna then gave their children names, to the eldest they gave the name in unison speaking of one mind, Altor which translates to mean ‘Protector’ . They then turned to their daughters; Luna named her eldest, Celestia. The name Celestia was the female version of Sol, so therefore, Celestia was named after her father. Sol named his youngest, naming her after the likeness of her mother Luna.
They then faded and died in one another’s arms, and when this happened six gems came from there body’s, and Altor called them Harmony, and thus he gained there power. The new God and Goddesses looked upon the earth and were sad for it was in chose. Altor took his sisters and put one in the moon thereof and one in the sun thereof, having them be in slumber. For he knew that they were to be pure, so they were not to witness his actions.
Altor formed the elemental gems into weapons and armor of him, as he downed them he named them and gave them proposes, for they were his and he was master of them, therefore, he shaped them. The element of Magic was his great sword, Honesty was his helm, Generosity was his breastplate, Kindness covered his back and front legs, Loyalty covered his wings, Laughter was his shield. With these he shown like the dawn to bring to pass the peaceful future he so desired for his sisters.
He then went down unto the earth and used the Elements of Harmony to wipe clean all that were there, that were of insidious intent. He started with the Draconequus for they could change any and all at a whim. While doing this, he found himself in a large mountain gorge, which was the home of the Draconequus. Before he could kill the last newborn egg of them, he heard a long and mighty call of war horns. They shook the air and were herd for many leagues. They were the Dragon race, friends of the Draconequus, had come to their aide.
Altor bellowed in kind, a mighty roar that pierced the air like thunder. The ground shook and was broken up before him, lightning sailed through the air, and heavy rain beat the oncoming force into the ground. Altor sped to his newest foes, so fast was he that the sound waves in the air were broken many times in his wake. The battle with the dragons was one of hoof on claw, unlike the Draconequus slaughter, which was a battle of magic. The war went on for forty days and forty nights, on the fiftieth day Altor used the element of magic to pierce the greatest of the Dragons heart, as this dragon died and fell to the earth, so large was it, it crushed three mountains with its body, making them into a large desert. The other dragons fled before him and hid in dark caves.
Altor then was known by all the land, and all feared him. The humble ponies of earth, sky, and magic, came fourth unto Altor asking to be spared from him. Altor looked on them and saw that they were a good and choice people. He showed unto them many things, he showed the earth ponies how to grow many great and desirable foods. He showed the sky ponies how to control the weather they stood and slept on. In addition, he showed the magic ponies how to raise and lower the sun and moon. He then left them to continue his greater purpose.
From then on, he saved many righteous and choice creatures from his purging of the world. He killed all of the great worms that borrowed down into the earth, saving the Dog like beings who lived there. He destroyed many great and large beasts from the seas, some of which were as islands themselves. He spared the seaponys that lived in the waves giving them power over the oceans.
The dragons came forth once again and killed many of the ponies in the north, when Altor arrived he found that the Pegasi who lived there had beaten the dragons back themselves. As a reward for their bravery Altor said unto them,
“Asketh one thing of me, and it shall be give unto thee.”
The Pegasi asked what was in there hearts, that thing was to be mighty a warriors as Altor and the Dragons were. Altor true to his word gave them much power in war, making their likeness that unto the dragon. He thus named them Thestrals. The Thestral is now known as the Bat Pony.
As he was in the north, he fought with a mighty race known as the Centaur. In his final bout with them, a large explosion of power came to be, and a pony settlement was caught in the wake of the blast. Altor put much magic forth to save them, however, the ponies were changed, they became like unto the crystals that they mined in the mountains around them. When most of the Centaurs had been killed, Altor saw the ponies and was sad before them. Therefore, he gave them a gift to bring them happiness and joy. He reached into the universe and with permission from her, took the heart of his ancestor Love. He then made a beautiful palace for them and put the heart thereof in the center of it. The heart brought peace to the ponies, and all were glade.
He then went south and fount many creatures there, among them were the changelings, however, before he could destroy all of them, he was attacked by a creature of darkness beyond. This shadow was from the second son of Addas Pater, It was the forsaken one. He fought with the dark entity for countless moons and passing’s of the sun. the war was great thereof and all the earth felt power from them, storms raged, tempest flew, the earth shook, mountains were laid to waste, and new ones took their place.
After long last Altor had beaten back the darkness and made it so weak that it would take centuries for it to rise up once more. However, in order to defeat the darkness Altor had to become the darkness. As a law set down by Altor the Elements of Harmony cannot be with any unclean thing, therefore, the Elements ran from Altor and he had there power no more.
Being weakened many were able to escape his genocide. However his work was not yet done, he went into a large forest in a land of that was a promise land, and a land that was choice above all other lands. He therefore, made a safe haven for the Elements, a tree that lay in a cave; he put them there and told only a tome, which he wrote all his doings, then, hid the tome deep in the earth in a place, which he made, a place that is now known as Tartarus.
He then released his sisters and showed them many things. He then told them of Tartarus, and how it will hold any evil, they may face if they keep watch over its gates. He then showed them how to raise the Moon and Sun, which was their first destiny.
After all this, he spoke unto his sisters and told them his purpose.

“Come round me Celestia and Luna my dearest beloved, for my time in this world is short.” Altor spoke to us.
As we came unto him, we saw he was very weak and seemed frail. “What is it brother?” Luna asked.
“You have seen the ponies of this world have you not?” his voice sounded in a clear whisper.
“We have.” I spoke, wondering where my brother was going with all this.
“They are leaderless, and have hated one to other. Your destines may be to raise the sun and moon as I have shown you. But you have other fates that work in your future.” His voice changed to that of a crystal hitting glass it was so clear.
“What other destinies do you speak of? How do you know all this?” I shook despite myself, in fear.
Sensing this he said. “Do not be afraid my sisters.” he brought us into an embrace.
“You must lead these ponies; you must be there lights in the darkness. Two beacons of hope and security. Promise me this; swear that you will fulfill these things.” He looked us in the eyes as we swore to up hold his promise “Good.” He embraced us again, and then laid down upon his bed.
“Come close to me.” He commanded. He turned to me and spoke. “The difference between living a life in fear. And living a life being feared, is that the former will give you heroes, and being feared will bring about your own destruction. Do you understand what I’m saying unto you Celestia?” he put his hoof on my face, as I said I did so.
He then turned to Luna and seemed to gaze into her, as if he could see something that is yet to come. He took her face in his and said to her.
“In the darkness of night I see my soul; through the pale light I see the darkness. Let there be star and moon light. Through the light, I have forever warmth. Do you understand my words Luna?” his voice cracked as he asked her. To which she shook her head no.
“Tis ok, you will one day.” He spoke. He took us up in his arms and wept into us, as he covered us in his wings.
“Oh, my beautiful sisters, my most beloved ones. In this world, you will bring peace and harmony; you will lead until the end of time. In this land, you will be above all else, you will, and must be pure. There will be many things that seek your death and the deaths of what you hold dear. You must stay true to your promise to me; you must always have a God like love in your hearts. However, I am that evil that is and was, I cannot stay here for this perfect world we seek, is not a place for one such as I.” he let go of us, and kissed us on the crown of our heads.
“Darkness has O’ershadowed my heart; I release my soul to the stars. Remember my dearest beloved, thou art choice above all else. Never stop believing, never stop loving. I will miss you, my beautiful sisters.”
“After saying these things, my brother Altor was engulfed in a marvelous light. He came apart like shards of tears ascending to the heavens.” Said Princess Celestia, in an interview, Princess Celestia continued saying.
“After he past, my sister Princess Luna told me that she felt a new star be added to the night sky. In addition, no matter how much she tried she cannot move the star. She has told me that when she touches said star, she feels the presents of our most loved brother.” She finished.
After the great Altor had past Princess Celestia and Luna, and then showed themselves unto the ponies of newfound Equestria. They spoke of who they were and of their birthright over the land. They then showed that they had power over the sun and moon. They were then crowned the rulers of the land, and have kept to their promise, which they made all those years ago.
