> A Different Kind of Power > by Remedyfortheheart > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Earning her Keep > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the afternoon under a bright sun. Majority of Canterlot High's students were found enjoying Spring Break in the best way possible. By soaking up some rays along a sandy beach. Quite a crowd was drawn to the beach around this time of year. Leaving for some interesting social activity. Boys were playing football along a wide open area. Girls were playing volleyball by a net. Even the younger set of high school freshmen were enjoying ice cream by the benches. Everyone seemed happy, except a trio of girls. Hidden and secluded from the large groups of friends and family. All perched along the coastline by a large beach umbrella propped into the sand. A lively girl, clad in a red two piece, stood over two others, who were sitting along a beach blanket settled under a large beach umbrella. The apparent leader was using the sun to draw their attention. The pair consisted of her backup singers in their group. A pinkish pigtailed girl, dressed in a bluegreen bikini, sat along next to a ponytailed light blue toned girl, who wore a blue top and bottom. The two had easily given their curly leader their full attention. Keeping silent for her voice to ring out into the air. "Alright, girls. We all understand the plan? The only resource of magical power left is the same magic that has ruined our lives!" The curly blonde announced out to the other two. Holding her clenched hands in the air. Frowning at just the thought alone. "Ease up, Adagio. Maybe it's time we change our lives or something. Not like we can do anything about this friendship thing." Said the pink girl. Waving a hand into the air in a sauntering wave to ignore Adagio's angry rant. Her hand easing over her shoulder. Brushing along one of her ponytails. As always the blunt girl was right, and yet she was missing the whole point. Centuries of controlling others had left them to be quite reliable to a certain level of luxury and recognition. "Don't you get it? We still have a chance here. Even with our pendants gone, Aria. We can still manage to be adored and more." Adagio said with a glimmer in her eyes. Relishing in the thought of finally being able to do as they wanted freely. All with a large amount of magical power behind them. The plan was simple. To harness the same powers that defeated them and turn it to their own use. Problem being was. The three had little to no clue at all, at how to even make friends. Or even how the power worked at all. "I still don't get it. I'm sure Sonata does even less than me." Aria said again with her rude remarks pointing over her shoulder to her co-singer, the girl with the ponytail. "Look! Those six were the Elements of Harmony from Equestrian Legend!" Adagio stated as if bringing up a crucial point in her argument. "And?" Aria countered looking down at her nails. Already knowing this fact. Which held a more sour taste in the back of her throat from knowing that they couldn't win against such a force. "Sunset Shimmer is not an element." Adagio said with a grin. That one little fact made Aria's eyes open wide at how they had missed such a small little detail. They had just about won the battle, during the Battle of Bands Music festival, when a seventh element rose up. Overcoming their spell completely. The fact remained though. As Sunset Shimmer shouldn't have had such an effect, unless. She somehow accessed a different type of power that wasn't from the elements themselves. "For all we could know, it could just be magical residue from her time being in Equestria!" Aria debated going over options on how it even occurred. The transformation Sunset had gone through was proof enough that there was something even more powerful residing in this dimension. Sonata laid along a beach blanket and played with her long ponytail. Running her light blue fingers along her hair. Her fingertips digging into strands of her blue and purple hair. She was blushing and acting strangely uncomfortable for some reason. Adagio was explaining her plan to the girls about how they could go about with their lives. The girls already agreeing on how they might make friends. Being public enemy number one in Canterlot High did make such a feat impossible on their end. Just like Aria stated Sonata knew less than she did. Sonata being forced only to nod in agreement with her fellow sirens. "It's still something of worth to explore. If Sunset Shimmer could gain that power. We can too. She's proven that much to us." Adagio brought her arms to her hips and grinned. Her lips curling up the left side of her face. Thinking about the sweet relief it would be to have their power brought back to them. "Maybe we should ask the Rainbooms for help?" Sonata rose up her hand. Trying to speak her piece. The other two shot glances at her. Their eyes wanting to pierce her body as that made it obvious she had said something that wasn't comfortable with the other two. "Nevermind. Heh heh!" Sonata curled up into a ball. Her legs bending up along her belly as she held them. Feeling her bare blue skin rub along her thighs. Aria gave out a sigh and finally came out with the one question they were all thinking about. "How do you suppose we even get this 'friendship thing' to work for us? It's not like we're popular anymore." Aria frowned out even more. Always more focused on the negative points of the things around them. Adagio brought her hand up to her face and shook her head. Her smile had not faded, because she had already anticipated this point several times over. "Half of the school thinks the music festival was done with effects. Light shows and fireworks. As far as majority of this, pathetic, town thinks about us. We're just three girls, who lost a music competition." Aria tapped her chin placing more thought into Adagio's claim. They had an advantage. Sonata in her confused state just smiled wide. Acting like she was on the same page. The blue girl shaking her head and addressed the two once more. "So we make friends?" Sonata was making sure. Her mind only taking in the fact of what they needed to accomplish their goal. "Exactly! Once we have a good amount of friendship. We can figure out how that seventh power, Sunset had claimed, came to be." Adagio replied. "What about our friendship?" Asked Sonata. Wondering why their friendship wasn't as strong as they needed it to be. Aria and Adagio gave Sonata a disgusted look as if their own friendship wasn't even there to begin with. They had known each other for centuries, but had remained as associates to each other. Sonata twirled a finger into her ponytail. Shrugging off her second question being unanswered. Sonata frowned as Aria and Adagio continued their talk. She could barely hear them know. With the way she was being treated she thought it best not to listen. Tuning out her bandmates. Being left out of the conversation. "We don't know how to make friends, genius." Aria once again stated. Thinking that Adagio's plans were over the top. "We know how to make servants." Pointing out how they usually got a crowd on their side. Which amounted to a show of magical force which they've gathered through means of negative energy and their magically enhanced voices. "We can't even sing anymore." Aria added to the list of why making friends for Adagio's plan wasn't going to work. The three girls remembering all too well, the moment their magic had faded away into dust. Each one looked down to the sand as they ran fingers along their necks. Where their precious magic once was housed, in a brilliant glowing pendant. A treasured trinket that held more meaning than anything else in their entire world. Which was now gone. "We have different assets to use. After finding out about some past moments of the tragic 'Fall Formal Incident' with Sunset Shimmer. We're sure to find others who'll 'add' to our collection." Adagio confirmed it. Sunset Shimmer did have a rather high bad streak. Three years of being a bully had left most the school quite against her. Until Sunset became the seventh reason to breaking their spell. She even became part of the winning band for the Music Festival. "The whole high school is ,so set on love and tolerance. That they won't know what hit them." Adagio snickered, finding that the naive nature of this world was so much easier to manipulate. Taking a seat in front of the others girls, Adagio sighed out laying her legs to the sit. Her red bottoms finding the smooth beach blanket along her round backside. Finding the blazing sun's beams making her sweat a bit. Aria reached to her side and plunged her hand into an icebox. The icy tingling sensation sent a slight chill up her pink arm, as her fingers took hold of a water bottle. Handing it off to her hot friend. Adagio was in the sun a bit too long. Making her sigh out under the relief of the shade cover her body. She uncapped the bottle taking a quick sip. Letting Sonata and Aria think freely for a couple of seconds. "So they're just gonna accept us? Just like that?" Aria asked. "Well, yeah! We're awesome. Remember the first day we got to school? Taco Tuesday?" Sonata concurred. "What about it?" Adagio asked humoring Sonata for the moment. Her brow raising up in questioning. "We brought everyone together for the music festival, duuuh! They have to remember us." Sonata exclaimed bringing one hand up into a wave as if it was somehow obvious. "Of course! I think it's fantastic, that everyone now knows the faces of the girls, who made them turn on each other!" Adagio said smiling wide. Acting over the top with fake enthusiasm. A second later her expression dropped eying them both with a sneer. "For real-sies!?" Sonata asked her eyes full of hope that she was participating with their plan. "That's a bad thing Sonata. We made everyone angry at each other." Aria ran her fingers along the floating ice of the cooler. Dunking her hand back in she took hold of another bottle. Passing it to her other hand to hold and offer to Sonata, while her left hand swiftly took hold of a third one for herself. "Oh." Sonata took the offered drink, and like Adagio, screwed off the top and took a quick drink. The three beauties remained quiet. The silence was held in the air for some time, as each one looked to the other trying to figure out how they would go about harvesting enough friendship for their powers to grow back. "Making a group of friends. Is nothing. We were able to match the power of six other magical powerful beings with just us alone." Adagio said. Trying to bring confidence into her plan. "Aren't you forgetting something?" Aria butted in. "We were able to do that with a whole concert full of spellbound subjects." The fact did remain. They only could match the Rainbooms power to power with their dark magic, only during that one rare time. To be able to copy that same scene wasn't going to be easy. Especially with the Dazzlings currently powerless. Adagio leaned forward to Aria and Sonata. The other two sirens leaning in closer, as Adagio whispered out. "That's why we bide our time. One by one we collect followers. We get our voices back and make another momentous festival. It'll be a buffet of emotions!" Aria looked at Adagio as if this whole down time being normal girls affected her brain. It was their only chance though. Right now Aria believed that they should learn to live in their current state. While Adagio was still dreaming of ways to somehow become their old powerful selves. "A buffet sounds aaaaawe-some!" Sonata replied. Hearing mostly about getting their powers back and the buffet part. "So now we need to think about who might stay faithful, while we collect more ugh....'friends'. For our dark magic to be restored." Adagio rubbed her chin. Sitting up straight with Aria following in suit. Both girls staring at the sand with their arms crossed. The pair of girls pondering on how they would go about dealing with this slim chance of a plan. Sonata blinked a couple of times in silence and looked around. Swiveling her head she began searching for something, or someone. She knew that the first part was about making friends. She caught sight of a male with long straight purple hair wearing red thunks. She gasped out and pointed at him as she addressed her bandmates. "What about him! He looks special!" Sonata shouted out in glee. "Yeah sure. He looks delicious." Adagio said waving her arm in the air at Sonata's comment. Ignoring her as she was lost in thought and didn't need something, or someone, to distract her thought process. Without a word Sonata smiled and stood up leaving her two friends behind to their planning. The thinking hurt her head, so she felt better that she had left them alone for a bit. Sonata got closer and closer to the male along her sights and waved her hand up high, once she was within earshot distance. The tall male was tossing a football back and forth with a couple of guys. His buddies were running along the sand as he tossed the ball to them with a swing of his hefty arm. He smiled and looked down into the distance glancing at one of his friends catching the ball. "Hello! Hello!" Sonata started. The male looked to Sonata and waved back with a small smile. "HEADS UP!" said a voice further back. Distracted the tall guy groaned out, as the football was thrown back to him with force. Conking him in the side of his head. The ball hitting flesh made a bonking sound as it flew back into the air. Only to finally bounce back down onto the ground. Sonata flinched covering her lips. Her right knee bending over to her left leg. Resting on her left leg's knee as she leaned to left. She groaned out at the painful looking strike done to his head. "Hssst-Oooo!" Sonata began with a slight hiss of imaginative pain. "You alright?" Sonata came forward and bent down grabbing the young male by his arm. Lifting him up to his feet. "Yeah...yeah! Just surprised is all." Said the hurt football player. "Did you need something?" He asked Sonata who giggled and introduced herself. "I'm Sonata. I need a friend!" Sonata said blatantly. The perky girl pressed her chest up against his arm still holding onto him. Tighter than she needed to. To where her round, well endowed, chest was pressed up along his arm. "Uh.....huu......dah. DU-....DUKE!" Duke shouted looking down at how Sonata was pressed along his limb. Sonata hugged his arm tighter. Worried that she was somehow was hurting him even further. "What's wrong?" Sonata asked worried. Her naive mind unable to grasp what she was doing. As his buddies all laughed at how Duke was being hit on, with him acting like a big nervous wreck. "Nothing!...I just.....your...chest, my arm. Um...wanna get something to eat?" Duke said not even attempting to pull his arm out, at the sight of two double d beauties wrapped about his upper arm. "Yes!" Sonata lit up on the spot. She traced her hands to replace her breasts on the stuttering male. Duke gave her another goofy smile as he was finally able to breath normally again. Leading the way down a sidewalk with Sonata in tow. Duke waved back at his friends who only seemed to wave back, laughing at how lucky the guy was. Duke chuckled nervously as Sonata seemed to be all too friendly with him already. Taking these moments as just "advances" to get him into bed, Duke followed along with the act. Not noticing how innocent Sonata really was. All his hormones pretty much made him see just the curves on Sonata's body. Sonata's bikini clad body strolling along side Duke's. Her top and bottom slipping just a bit. Showing off and hiding just more of her curves as her slender form moved about. Her long legs moving with her plump thighs that teased the poor guy to no end. Leaving him craving for a glimpse behind that flimsy bikini. The way Sonata's top hugged her breast was a sight to behold. The bikini top cupping her chest from underneath and raising them up as if displaying them out freely. Duke was taking these signs in a different way than Sonata had wanted. Either way Sonata kept thinking she earned herself a friend. "Were those guys back there your 'friends'?" Sonata had to ask as her goal was within sight now. She had made one friend already, why not try to make more? "Yeah, guys from the team and all." Duke replied back to Sonata as an ice cream cart came into view. The strolling couple drawing closer to it. "Can I meet them?!" Sonata said in glee. Thinking she had hit jackpot as she was the first to even get this far. With this many friends. Oh, how she could feel it now. Having her voice back and the dark magic she had grown so used to relying on. How Adagio and Aria would praise her for helping. Sonata could feel her prideful self glowing, as Duke held up a hand giving the vendor two fingers. Ordering up two popsicles for him and his lovely new friend. "Sure. Hey what flavor do you want?" "I don't know. What flavor do you like?" Sonata told him back. Thinking it was smart letting him take control of things. Focused more on trying to keep him comfortable in their relationship. "Heh heh! You're a funny girl." Duke praised her as he took that last comment like a normal joke. Laughing a bit at how Sonata replied. "Two strawberry, please." He turned towards the vendor for their order. The vendor went to work. Popping open the top of his chart and shifting a hand inside. Moving a couple of frozen things around before he pulled out two red sweet treats by their sticks. "Here ya go! That'll $1.50" Duke took out his wallet and paid for the snacks. He looked to Sonata as she took the strawberry popsicles in her hands. "Why me?" He had to ask. He was still confused on why this girl was flirting with him so much. It didn't make sense. "Why not?" Sonata again thinking she was being smart. Holding back the truth with a mirror like answer to the question directed to her. "I get it. I get it! It's because I'm on the football team. Right. Just ah....most girls are scared to even talk with me. How do I know you're not some crazy fangirl looking to become popular?" Duke asked turning to the side with Sonata following along after him. "Duuh! Cause I'm awesome!" Sonata replied, keeping the truth to herself. Handing one of the red long snacks to Duke. The handsome male took it and laughed at how cute Sonata was being with him. Never noticing how Sonata was holding things back from him, all in an effort to somehow use him for dark purposes. Duke was getting comfortable with Sonata. Not only was she hot. But her bubbly personality was affecting him more than he thought she would. He stuffed his mouth full of the delightful treat and remained quiet as he watched Sonata eat her own. The sight of the long ice cream slipping along her lips as she sucked lightly on it was only making things worst on him. He wouldn't be taking advantage of a girl if she was this willing. Would it? "I got a place where me and my teammates hang out. It's sort of a beach shack. Just around the corner here" Duke explained. Sonata in her cuddly good mood, took duke by his wrist. Grasping onto his heavy hands as Sonata leaned close to Duke. The gesture was sweet in Duke's eyes. Thought Sonata was merely laying claim to the poor guy. Coddling her prize, thinking about how delicious his negative emotions would be, once unleashed. Turning pass a corner. The two strolled down along a sidewalk. Leaving the sand behind them. A large house was in front of them. The humble abode melded well into the rest of the other buildings nearby. Duke lifted up his other arm and pointed at the one particular place. "That's it. Right there." Duke told her. Leading the blue toned girl along the street and up to the nearby front entrance. "Wow! It's pretty big!" Sonata took in the sight of the building up close. From a distance it didn't look like much, but up close. It was decorated with colorful windows. Hand craved images of sea and surf were adorned across the door's edges. The glass on the windows were laid with many different tinted glass shards. Giving it a kaleidoscope feeling as you stare inside the house. It was a humble house that held much meaning and character. "Yeah! The team's had this house for years. The deed belongs to the school. So they let couch take charge of how we handle the shack. It's mostly for rewarding us, for a hard working season and such." Duke began sighing out at a piece of high school Canterlot history. Right in front of the two wondercolts. "Seeing as you're a wondercolt yourself. This place is as good as yours too." Duke opened the door and waved his arm out. Revealing the interior to Sonata. Sonata smiled wide bringing her arms up to her chest in a shaky excited manner. She couldn't believe she was invited to something so cool as a beach house. Duke even told her she had her own rights to it. "Cool! Hey where's our fridge?" Sonata began already taking that last corny bit by Duke seriously to heart. "You don't waste any time, don't ya!?" Duke said surprised once more. The forwardness of Sonata was just keeping him on his toes and only made her seem more interesting with each moment he questioned her. "To your left in the next room." "Sweet!" Sonata squealed out, walking to her left and leaving the main room. Duke followed after her in a much slower pace. While he had been here dozens of times. Sonata was rushing around like a puppy surveying her new surrounds and claiming what she could. The blue bikini girl had quite a bounce to her step. Each one making her slim legs extend out along it's curvy form. Her round butt swaying side to side in a hypnotic swing of her hips. Duke had to bite down on his knuckles to avoid letting out a groan of desire. He couldn't believe it. One of the hottest babes of the school had been flirting with him and now he had her alone. She seemed so relaxed too. This could be exactly what she wanted. As duke entered the large kitchen area. He caught sight of a pair of blue bikini bottoms stretching out along Sonata lower half. She was bent over in the open fridge. Scouring for something. How Duke wanted to snatch up those perfect blue buns into his hands. To bite down on one of those juicy cheeks. All just to make her groan out from the teasing. Duke shook his head out of the gutter and hovered over the lovely sight. "Hey, wanna drink?" Sonata asked as she offered a soda, as if it truly belonged to her. "Sure, Sonata." Duke replied as he watched the blue toned babe pop back up with two soft drinks in one hand. Stretching her arm out as her upper body leaned back in a shy offering. She was too cute to deny. To let this moment pass by without some type of answer. Duke wanted so much more. "So...does this mean we're friends?" Sonata said blushing. In hopes that she somehow succeeded in her plan. Or whatever it was she was doing. She really had no clue how to read others at all. Duke took one can and left the other in Sonata's offered. The sexy girl pulled her arm back and looked at the soda. Her finger ran along the rim of the colorfully designed can. Feeling the slight cold shiver of the ice cold drink run up her finger. "I hope so. Maybe we can be something more?" Duke asked, with a hint of hope towards the dazzling. "M-more? Something stronger than friendship?" Sonata implied. A blue digit coming up to the side of her face. Twisting a strand of her hair along it. In her thoughts she had only been thinking about the magical properties of that which could be stronger than friendship. It was told in legends that love could break and save whole kingdoms in the blink of an eye, back in Equestria. If she could somehow bring this power back to her fellow sirens, who knows how she would be praised. She might even get promoted to lead singer! "Eeee!" Sonata squealed out in her glee. Jumping onto Duke as she hugged him. Wrapping her arms around his neck with her toned body pressed along his. Leaving Duke's mind to ponder on how it looked having Sonata's round firm breasts pressed along his chest. Sonata bounced up slightly in her joy and even kissed Duke. The horny boy took this as a sign for others things, as he kissed her holding onto her waist. He was now lost. Taking hold of the girl who had mistakenly acted out the image of every horny hormonal boy's dream. ---♥♥♥--- Sonata held a wide smile to her face as she strolled down the beach. Headed back to the spot where the other Dazzlings were at. Adagio and Aria had still been contemplating against one another this whole time. Scheming about the things to come next within their lives. Their hatred for living normally, instead of the queens they were meant to be, weighted heavily on their minds. "Hey, guys!" Sonata said with a wave of her hand. Yelling out to her bandmates. "Who's that?" Adagio asked, with her head down along her knees, as she had a migraine from how negative Aria was being. their conversation had gotten nowhere. With only a back and forth argument between Adagio and Aria. Aria turned her head towards Sonata and shrugged it off. "Just an idiot." Aria scoffed, going back to her turn of ranting out negative thoughts. Adagio slowly brought her head up catching sight of the approaching siren. Her jaw dropped. Aria continued with her hotheaded speech. "So as I was saying. It won't work because-hey!" Aria spouted out as she was interrupted with the curly blonde grabbing her face with two hands and turning it towards Sonata, who was being trailed by a group of males. The two Dazzlings were stuck silent, as they gave Sonata a questioning stare. "I made friends! What's next?" Sonata said with a toothy grin. Several males were holding things for her. One large male held an icebox while another a stack of towels. As Sonata stood in place. The two men brought out their arms. Giving her a soda and a towel to wipe her face on. "Whew! Thanks Adonis! Thanks Cloverfield!" Sonata was being treated like a goddess for some reason. Sonata in her shining moment took the towel and wiped her sweaty face. Laying the cloth along her shoulders before grabbing the can to take a drink. The group of men clamoring "welcomes" or asking what else Sonata might want. With a swift shift of her hands the men were suddenly quiet. It felt good to be in control of others once again. It empowered Sonata's senses. "Want some girls?" While Sonata meant towels or a drink. Both Aria and Adagio couldn't help but feel as if Sonata was mentioning if they wanted a mob of servants like hers. Adagio and Aria's jaws dropped even further. They were clearly missing something. Adagio began with a stutter filled question. "I dah-do?....How did you even? This many?" The blonde couldn't come up with the right words to even ask Sonata how this came to be. "Well. First Duke got hit with a football. Then we had some ice cream and some sodas. Oooo oooo! I almost forgot! You're both invited to a taco party next week!" Sonata began, yet the thinking process was straining her brain as she herself couldn't explain how she had collected so many friends in such a short time. Turning to another topic that she could understand fully in her naive nature. Food.
